This Week’s Ikebana - Flowers From The Garden
Our sakura and spirea are both in bloom, and look wonderful in the garden. I paired them with pink tulips and shades of pink sweet peas.
This week’s kokeshi are a selection from Masao Watanbe. Masao Watanabe was from Miyagi, and won many Prime Minister Awards for his work. The kokeshi in the bottom image are some of his most famous, Chigozakura (Cherry Blossom Child), and one was presented to each of the Beatles band members when they visited Japan in the 1960s.
