Custom Chrome Europe - 'Bolt On And Ride' program négy év kihagyás után újraindul

A Custom Chrome Europe 2023-ban ünnepelte 25 éves fennállását. Ez idő alatt, és a széles körben elterjedt "kit bike" jelenségből született, amely az 1990-es évek közepétől söpört végig az alkatrész- és tartozékgyártó közösségen, a CCE "Bolt On And Ride" koncepciója (2009-2020) mindig is egy "megfontoltabb" és "meggyőzőbb" ajánlat volt. Ezek nem komplett építmények voltak, hanem vezető európai custom bike-építők által tervezett egyedi építmények válogatása. Így hát négy évvel előbbre ugrottunk, és a németországi Bad Salzuflenben 2023 decemberében megrendezett Custombike Show-n (majd 2024 januárjában az olaszországi Veronában megrendezett Motor Bike Expo kiállításon) a Custom Chrome Europe ismét belevetette magát ezekbe a vizekbe, és újra piacra dobta a koncepció teljesen új változatát. 2024-ben a Rick's Motorcycles 30 éves fennállását ünnepli - és ez a radikális "Clubstyle" "Bolt On And Ride" motor egy újabb "Clubstyle" témájú radikális motor, Rick saját FXRT/RP burkolatával, vadonatúj és szuperszilárd kormánykiemelőkkel és kormánykiflivel, valamint számos új Rick's alkatrésszel, amelyek újak a Custom Chrome Europe katalógusban. Now speaking of install, I've got another video where I show you guys some of the best headlight bulbs on the market today for this exact truck. I know you probably thought you were going to have a whole lot of stuff to take apart to get to those bulbs, but Chevy still got it figured it out when it comes to ease of install. Now for a new truck, this thing is pretty easy to work on. Sold in pairs Requires LED flasher unit Bikes with a single. Nothing to it, nothing has to be taken apart. These bright LED turn signals will bend more than 90 degrees without damage. It is just really challenging to film, but you can do this at home in your driveway in just a couple seconds. Not Yet”, es lo que figura en el campo dedicado al nombre de la moto, según la ficha que nos facilitaron desde Custom Chrome Europe. No está claro si aún no tiene nombre o es ese, pero así la hemos bautizado nosotros para este artículo, de forma tal vez no muy rigurosa desde un punto de vista periodístico. Haber espabilado, amigos. Esta es una nueva Bolt On And Ride de CCE montada por Hard Nine Choppers, de Suiza.

Suiza. Ese país tan salao. Su imagen es la de un sitio no muy alegre, con un mercado cerrado y legislaciones muy restrictivas respecto a las homologaciones de vehículos. Es un paraíso para fortunas ilegales pero no para los choppers. Algunos hemos estado allí y, de verdad, parece que no les caemos muy bien. Ni cuando vamos a visitar a la familia. Pues ahora resulta que estábamos equivocados. Ahora va a ser que… Será mejor que nos lo explique Horst, nuestro colaborador centroeuropeo.

“…los customizadores suizos han gozado de algunas libertades que sus vecinos alemanes sólo podían soñar. Y con tan severas restricciones de velocidad, vender motos deportivas en un país otrora legendario, gracias a Fritz Egli y otros constructores de chasis, cayó en un punto muerto. Actualmente, más de una cuarta parte de las motos suizas son Harley-Davidson y algunos de los mejores eventos tienen lugar en Dübendorf y Lugano. La escena custom suiza es respetada por su creatividad, así como por la calidad de las motos que construyen. Hay customizadores que han forjado  vencedoras únicas en bike shows con piezas del catálogo CCE y, casi todos los concesionarios suizos, compiten con creaciones excelentes. Sin embargo, el equipo de C.C.E. escogió sin embargo a un candidato muy especial para montar su primer BOAR de 2018: Danny Schneider, de Hard Nine Choppers, cuya fama es internacional.

En Motor Bike Expo 2018 se han visto muchas exclusivas, incluso por parte de Custom Chrome Europe que, a lo largo de tanto tiempo de colaboración, también ha presentado algunas primicias en los últimos años. Pero, para el décimo aniversario, el equipo de CCE se ha sacado un as de la manga: su primera BOAR montada en Suiza. La elección de Danny Schneider, uno de los constructores suizos de más renombre, fue algo natural. Danny es conocido por llevar sus motos al límite, como demostró durante su carrera de piloto de freestyle y moto cross, y su más reciente conversión al acero americano. Las motos de Danny mezclan estilos custom y elementos del BMX y el motocross, usando a menudo motores auténticos de época, como el legendario “D’MX” Flathead de 1942. La falta de caballos en esos motores nunca supuso un impedimento para sacarles todo su potencial, como también hizo con su “7.0 FXR$” con la que ganó en la categoría FXRS de MBE Verona. El clip de su actuación se hizo viral en internet de inmediato. El décimo aniversario de MBE es también la décima temporada BOAR de CCE, que comenzó en 2009 su primer Bolt On And Ride Tour viajando desde el sur de Finlandia hasta el círculo polar y de vuelta a Norrtälje. La pasión por rodar es algo inherente a la asociación Hard Nine Choppers y Custom Chrome Europe. Y no hay duda de que van a ser muy exigentes con ella durante toda esta temporada. Dicho esto, no resultó fácil convencer a Danny para que hiciese una moto así porque su forma de trabajar no es la normal, con varias motos en paralelo, en diferentes fases de construcción. Y tampoco es conocido por hacer custom de “atornilla y corre”. “Cerramos los detalles del acuerdo en noviembre de 2017 y sabía que iba a ser difícil hacer una moto que reflejase mi estilo en sólo 39 días”, nos cuenta Danny, “pero cuando Marcus Pfeil aceptó realizar el trabajo de pintura, empecé a recolectar ideas.” La creatividad no acepta prisas, como las motos de Hard Nine Choppers atestiguan, pero Danny conoce su trabajo y lleva 15 años satisfaciendo a su clientela. La base para el proyecto es una XL Iron 883 de 2017 comprada a Baechli Harley Heaven donde también celebraban un aniversario redondo: 50 años en el negocio del V-Twin, desde 1967, es un acontecimiento remarcable y fue celebrado con nada menos que siete motos únicas. La 883 Iron vio la luz en Datyona 2009, como un añadido a media temporada, siguiendo los pasos de la Nightster y el proyecto Dark Custom, siendo base de no pocos trabajos desde entonces. La Sportlin de Fred Kodlin causó sensación en Verona 2017 y puso de relieve el extensísimo programa que Performance Machine y Roland Sands Design incorporaban al catálogo de Custom Chrome Europe. Y esta moto se ha beneficiado también de ello pues un buen número de componentes RSD se han usado en su concepción y construcción. Entre otros: puños, manetas, mandos, estribos y material a menudo olvidado que Roland ha hecho personalmente durante su vida profesional, como la montura colgante del faro, el soporte para recolocar el velocímetro, o las fundas de horquilla. Pueden no ser muy espectaculares y poco visibles pero son los que comparten estilo con otras piezas como la guarda de la cadena y tapas de motor, ofreciendo un aspecto de conjunto homogéneo y combinando entre ellas. El look general se ha visto beneficiado por los cambios estéticos en el motor que también ha experimentado un “restyling”, con nuevas tapas de EMD en árbol de levas y primaria que trabajan en armonía con las tapas de balacines Nostalgia de RSD. El filtro de aire Slant, también de RSD, refleja muy bien la filosofía y el estilo de Roland y también de Danny. Fabricado en fibra de carbono, no sólo es ligero sino que también deja un espacio a la pierna sin precedentes, para un pilotaje estilo Hard Nine. En el lado izquierdo del motor se han recolocado las bobinas de forma más agresiva visualmente. El espectacular resurgimiento de las carreras Dirt Track en Estados Unidos empezó en 2017 con la “renovada” rivalidad entre Harley-Davidson e Indian. Esto suscitó en el público un nuevo interés por los estilos Scrambler y Dirt Track, ya por entonces populares, así como por las XL de H-D. Es posible que el actual chasis con silentblocks de las Sportster haya dificultado un poco la customización pero la mayoría de especialistas, que forman el núcleo duro del Custom europeo, han encontrado soluciones para transformarla en cosas rodantes muy pintonas.

Algunas veces motivadas por la competición interna de Harley, Battle of the Kings, que vio a la Speed King de Harley Heaven’s como campeona suiza en 2017. Con la amplia variedad de modelos que ofrece la gama Sportster, el chasis con soportes de goma también ha ganado nuevos adeptos: el mayor confort la ha hecho más popular todavía. Pero ir de serie no es para Hard Nine y mejora la suspensión trasera con Öhlins Blackline de altas prestaciones, mientras los estribos RSD ofrecen una buena altura para rodar. En el eje delantero, el puente estabilizador RSD mantiene la rigidez de las horquillas de serie que montan una cubierta RSD entre las tijas. Se han cambiado las ruedas de serie por unas llantas Rev Tech Velocity de aluminio. El diseño clásico, de ocho brazos, ofrece un aspecto despejado y ligero y se adaptan a los bujes específicos para los chasis Harley. Para su manejo, se ha cambiado el 100 delantero de serie por un 110 un poco más ancho, y la llanta trasera ha crecido de 16 a 18 pulgadas para ganar un poco más de altura al suelo. Un toque de Dirt Track-Supermotard también se puede ver en el manillar Fehling y en el colín de Fred Kodlin estilo Café Racer. En Intermot 2016, Fred había presentado algunos de sus componentes propios para Sportster, diseñados y desarrollados para satisfacer a un creciente número de clientes Sportster que deseaban transformar su XL en un Café Racer con estilo, Roadster o Scrambler, y este colín es una obra de arte en chapa de Kodlin. El depósito de serie fue sustituido por uno de CCE, el popular 3,3 Gallon rematado con el tapón Vintage ventilado de RSD. Todas las luces se han cambiado. Delante lleva un JW Speakers adaptativo que varía la iluminación en carreteras reviradas, la trasera está equipada con un conjunto LED de Shin-Yo que agrupa las funciones de posición, freno e intermitentes. Los delanteros son Thunderbike. No podía ser otro: el artista del aerógrafo, Marcus Pfeil, se encargó del espectacular trabajo de pintura, en rojo y oro, que requiere de gafas de sol para ser observado y, en caso de mucho sol, una máscara de soldar. Desde luego, la nueva moto de CCE va a ser llamativa. Con el típico toque de Danny, es una Sportster que puedes llevar al estilo Hard Nine. No hay preguntas acerca de los 51 caballos de serie, si has visto a Danny pilotar su D’MX, con motor WLA de 1942 y la mitad de potencia, te das cuenta de que no es el motor, es el piloto.
