i can’t talk enough about how “Choose Your Fighter” by Ava Max is a Hashira song. like bruh, it’s so coded to them and i need every fight scene to this song actually.
“you can be a lover or a fighter, whatever you desire. life is like a runway and you’re the designer.
wings of a butterfly, eyes of a tiger,
whatever you want, baby, choose your fighter!”
and a honorary mention to the lyric — “a pretty knight in shining diamonds” bc if that isn’t the most Tengen Uzui shit
anyway. in a modern au, 1/3 of the hashira gang are blasting the barbie soundtrack at all times.

Just watched the first episode of KNY season 4 and I absolutely love the animation. The breathing style, the soundtracks and everything. It's only the first episode but it's very chaotic already 🤣
Giyushino rambling here, but I love the subtle signs of Shinobu's concern over Giyuu. You can see it in the way she asked him to explain himself on leaving the unfinished meeting, how she said something along the line of Giyuu keeps leaving things out of context. Unlike the others who seemed mildly annoyed and ticked off by his distant attitude, Shinobu just wants his explanation, for him to speak out and make efforts to not be misunderstood. Even after the meeting, she raised the question regarding Giyuu's participation in the training.
Giyuu keeps worrying her to no end. Sometimes with how they act towards each other, I wonder if Shinobu made it clear to Giyuu that she wanted him to make acquaintance with the other slayers and he was just like "no thank you" so that pissed her off and she made it her mission to annoy him " you have no friends lololol" just so he could get tired of her poking and heed her advice.
I think there's an understanding between Shinobu and Giyuu of their positions as Hashiras. Giyuu doesn't think he deserves it but he's not going to say it to Shinobu, who is physically the weakest and still managed to raise her rank. He might not get social cues much, but he thinks it would be an insult for the hardworking Insect Hashira if he steps down from his position just because he feels undeserved. And Shinobu, who's sharp and sometimes cares too much, probably picks up Giyuu's feelings over his position so maybe that's why she wants her to make friends with others just so he could make more connections and feel worthy of his spot.
Talking about Shinobu, I am betting that she gives Inosuke an earful of scolding after seeing the damage he did on the window.b

Just when you'd given up on the weird French film Kyojuro picked for movie night, the actors' clothes started coming off. Until now, it had been artsy camera shots and sparse dialogue, lots of cigarettes and brooding, but suddenly, things were starting to get interesting—at least they were off-screen.
Lying on the sofa, snuggled under a blanket in your oversized loungewear, you feel the curve of Kyojuro's erection rise against the small of your back.
"So, this is what you're into," you grin. "Dirty foreign films."
On screen, the actress starts moaning. You glance at the TV—seriously, though, what had possessed Kyojuro to pick this movie in the first place? It had to be the title—something about Flames and Passion? Probably not at all what he was expecting…
"Actually, I was imagining–"
You half-turn to look back at him, raising a brow. "Oh? Just what were you imagining?"
"I was imagining you sounding like that for me."
The actress makes an exaggerated moan, full-frontal nudity filling the screen—very male gaze. It's almost funny, except for Kyojuro's blunt honesty. His hand moves from resting on your hip to reaching down the front of your very unglamorous sweatpants.
"So you are into this," you tease, but your words have no teeth. Instead, you find yourself parting your legs for his as his fingers seek out your clit.
"I'm into you," he murmurs, nose buried in your hair.
A hot flush burns in your cheeks—how can he just say stuff like that, completely serious? But that's Kyojuro. Everything he says, he means it with his whole heart. He absolutely wants to hear you moan.
Closing your eyes, the movie soundtrack playing in your ears, you savor his warm touch. He gently pinches the sides of your clit, plucking at it to make it swell. You hum as he presses two fingertips to you, drawing slow circles on your bud.
Reaching down further, Kyojuro slips his fingers along your slit, dipping them just inside your entrance before plunging in. You do moan this time, and his erection throbs against you. Hooking his fingers, he massages your front wall, a satisfying squelch coming from between your legs.
The movie flickers against your eyelids—opening your eyes, you watch it in a daze, only dimly aware of what's playing on the screen. All you can think about is the insistent pressure of his clever fingers and how close you are to getting off.
Suddenly, Kyojuro grinds his cock between your cheeks, pinning you between his bulging erection and the come-hither strokes of his fingers. His lips are against your neck, brushing over your ear.
"I wanna hear you cum…"
It's too much—the pressure mounting between your legs, those honest words spoken in that husky voice. You cry out, high and breathy, almost a whine, as your core spasms hard around his soaked fingers.
Kyojuro answers your cry with a groan. Withdrawing his hand, there's a rustling of clothes behind you. He pulls down the back of your sweatpants and you whimper as he pushes himself inside your ready hole. After that, you have no idea what's going on in the movie, and you couldn't care less as Kyojuro grips your hips, rutting into you sideways through the ending credits.

Today on head canons no one asked for:
What artists I think the kny characters would listen to!
(Purely based on vibes)
Tanjiro: Cavetown
Nezuko: Beach Bunny, Little Mix
Zenitsu: Melanie Martinez, Olivia Rodrigo (homeboy suffers from chronic heartbreak)
Inosuke: 2pac, Eminem
Kanao: Laufey, girl in red
Genya: wants people to believe he listens to Metallica, actually listens to My Chemical Romance
Rengoku: ABBA
Tengen: Bad Bunny, Young Miko
Giyuu: Mitski (he’s a sad boy ™️)
Shinobu: HANABIE, Iron Maiden (she has no pent up anger whatsoever, why ever would you think that?)
Mitsuri: Meghan Trainor, YOASOBI
Obanai: Disturbed (lol), Måneskin
Sanemi: Insane Clown Posse (daddy issues? don’t know her)
Muichiro: Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion (here me out, he got his attitude and ruthlessness from somewhere, and a lack of adult supervision led to his current music taste)
Gyomei: Micheal Bublé, Celine Dion, musical theatre soundtracks (he listens to dad music, okay?)

•-•Songs I think KNY characters would enjoy•-•
Coming from an american :)
Sanemi:
Sanemi, in my opinion, is a metalhead. His ears are just made for heavy music, and honestly, I think all he needed in his life was a little bit of Pantera or maybe Slipknot to cope with his trauma.
Rengoku:
He leans more towards easy listening music. He likes a little bit of everything, but what he likes most is some nice acoustic ( possibly rock ) music. It's calming, and the lyrics normally hold a meaning he can appreciate. ( I think he'd like Mr Jones by Counting Crows too but TTWS is more accurate. )
Obanai:
Okay, lets get this straight. This mans favorite movie would be The Crow. This man gets mad when people can't tell the difference between Industrial and electronic, okay? He is a sad sad angry meow meow baby, and all a sad sad angry meow meow baby needs is a little bit of noise.
Tengen:
This man is raging with hip hop frat boy stank okay. He is listening to whatever gym bros from the hood listen to. This man is playing what people play in strip clubs. His favorite movie soundtrack is the black panther soundtrack. He is listening to TikTok edit music, okay.
Giyuu:
Yeah I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. He's cooked, bro. Giyuu is reeking of " I'm a liar I'm a cheater, i'm a nonbeliever!!! I'm a popular, popular monster " okay. You know you're cooked if you're listening to Dying is Your Latest Fashion by Escape The Fate okay. You're cooked if you're sobbing listening to Can You Feel My Heart by Bring Me The Horizon and telling me " ITS SO DEEP!!! "
But this is a good song and one of my favorites, so he's not as cooked because I'm also cooked too.
Gyomei:
I really don't think Gyomei would listen to music... At all. He's really just a classical music sorta guy but i do not know any classical music because I like metalcore and industrial music 😭🙏 however, I did have a short jazz phase last Christmas so here is this CLASSIC.
Mitsuri:
I bet this bitch EATS up that Love Angle Music Baby album as much as she can. I know she's walking down run ways with Madonna playing. Oooh girl.
Shinobou:
Girl I dont even need to say anything.

WHO IS THIS GUY?
Yo!
My name's Ryan, aka HAUNTED THE VAGABOND, aka HAUNTED, aka HAUNT, aka some other nickname that I have gained over the year, like... Fademan Haunt or something, call me what you like!
I'm a 28-year-old, asexual icon who goes by he/him pronouns, and I am a Canadian originally from Saskatchewan, but currently living in British Columbia.
I work as a Radio DJ by day, and I do a bunch of other stuff on the side, like streaming, podcasting, and being a pro wrestling announcer!
Big music guy, beginning to collect vinyl, hoping to get a sick setup soon. I do have a heavy leaning towards rock, metal, prog, punk, and hardcore, but I fuck with a lot of shit, and I'm always hunting for more stuff to listen to, open to all suggestions!
FIVE ALBUMS TO GET TO KNOW ME:
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here: Essential Floyd, everyone talks about Dark Side or The Wall, but Wish You Were Here is where it's at. Best album to put on and get lost in it
Deftones - Koi No Yokan: Top to bottom there isn't a song that isn't a bop or a banger on KNY. From "Swerve City" to "Tempest" to "Entombed", all heat
Pharoah Sanders - Pharoah: If you have a Sunday where you gotta do a bunch of housework, maybe it's raining, put on Pharoah, it's something you'll remember forever
Jessie Ware - What's Your Pleasure?: I'm not a Fantano fan by any stretch, but I gotta thank him for putting me on Jessie Ware. A modern disco album that fucks this hard? That's rare as hell!
Death Grips - Powers That B: "Black Quarterback" is my Fuck Shit Up song, "On GP" makes me emotional, great album
SPORTS
Big sports guy, I'll watch damn near anything from Hockey to Darts, if there is competition, I'm in there.
TEAMS/ATHLETES I SUPPORT:
Hockey: Vancouver Canucks (Main), Winnipeg Jets, Ottawa Senators, Philadelphia Flyers, PWHL Minnesota, Prince George Cougars (WHL)
Football: Saskatchewan Roughriders (CFL), Seattle Seahawks (NFL)
Baseball: Toronto Blue Jays (Main), LA Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals
Basketball: San Antonio Spurs (Main), Toronto Raptors, Saskatchewan Rattlers (CEBL)
Soccer: Machester United (EPL), Vancouver Whitecaps FC (MLS)
College Sports: Michigan Wolverines (NCAA), Saskatchewan Huskies (USPORTS)
Lacross: Saskatchewan Rush
Combat Sports: Israel Adesanya (UFC), Tyson Fury (Boxing), Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston (AEW), CM Punk, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn (WWE)
Golf: Tiger Woods
Video Games
I like them.
FIVE GAMES TO GET TO KNOW ME:
VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartending Action: Easily my favorite VN, entertaining characters, engaging world, I wanna get lost in it.
Halo 3: ODST: What if the cast of Firefly were in Halo and listened to a lot of Jazz? Yeah, peak.
Transistor: This is a beautiful game, it has a wonderful story and, a lovely soundtrack, a must-play if you love Supergiant games.
Hotline Miami: Soundtracks go a long way to elevate a game, and Hotline Miami is no different. Hotline Miami also boasts some real fast-paced, addictive gameplay. #TonyTime
Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne: Gameplay of a John Woo film fantastic noir story, Max Payne is one of the great characters in the medium.
Movies
I watch them.
FIVE MOVIES TO GET TO KNOW ME:
Clerks: Kevin Smith is one of my favorite directors, and Clerks is my all-time favorite comedy.
The Raid 2: If you loved the Raid, then you owe it to yourself to watch the Raid 2, it's just the Raid with a story, and it's fantastic!
Rocky: There are a lot of Rocky films, counting Creed as well, but nothing tops the first Rocky movie, the best top-to-bottom film in the series.
Porco Rosso: Everyone loves Spirited Away or Howl's Moving Castle, and they are right to do some, Miyazaki is one of the GOATs for a reason. But in my eyes, his best film is Porco Rosso. The landscape shots showcase his love of the Adriatic and Italy, the characters are lovely, and the dub, oh my goodness Michael Keaton as Porco is *chef's kiss*
Treasure Planet: Peak Disney movie, hyper fixated on it as a kid, and still love it to this day.
Anime
They alright.
FIVE ANIMES TO GET TO KNOW ME:
BECK Mongolian Chop Squad: This is the quintessential HAUNT anime. Very down-to-earth, simple but engaging story about someone finding their place in the world. In Beck's case, it's Koiyuki becoming this amazing singer/rhythm guitarist, and helping Beck become a premiere band in Japan.
Gurren Lagann: It's mother fuckin Gurren Lagann man, go watch it.
Steins;Gate: The group chat between me and some of my closest homies is called Future Gadget Labs NA, if that doesn't tell you how much this show brought me and my friends together, then I don't know what else to tell you. Never played the VN but the Anime was great!
Samurai Champloo: Life-changing anime, changed my whole perspective on music and my relationship to it. Helps that the show is GAS, with one of the hardest dubs out there.
Eden of the East: Just a straight up solid show with some good movies attached to it.
Fandom Shit
I don't really participate in a lot of Fandom discussion, I just will reblog stuff I like from my interest. An avid fan of D&D, Wrestling, Fighting Games, Hockey, Football, Anime, and a bunch of other crap I'm forgetting about.
So that's me, if you like what you see, hit me up!
