Hi, I'm Neme, and sometimes I exaggerate (lll￢ω￢) POTENTIAL SPOILERS IN THE ART AND THE DESCRIPTION BELOW!! Adding a separate post with a video :D

THIS, this was born from a vague idea I had, of drawing Inosuke falling. For some reason, I wanted to draw him from the back - shoulders bare, hair flying everywhere, his face not visible; body straining, bowing, arm outstretched towards... something, way, way up above him, too far away and unreachable. And I did that. Then I told myself, "let's add Kotoha!"... Then I said "Why not add baby Inosuke?". Then I said "let's make the falling section something inspired by his death scene in the Entertainment District Arc!". Hence the trail of blood. Then, since Baby Inosuke already had bubbles around him, to represent the river he falls into, I added debris, flowers and grass falling from the cliff where Kotoha dies. Between Baby Inosuke and Teen Inosuke there are leaves and acorns, to symbolise the Mountain and the woods he grows up in. Since I'd decided the third scene is the scene where Gyutaro stabbed Inosuke in the heart, I added pieces of roof tiles, broken vases, fabric, splinters of wood... stuff that I guessed could be seen falling as Yoshiwara was destroyed. Then, since this was already a summary of Ino's (tragic) life, I HAD to add a ray of light at the end/the bottom... The Kamaboko Squad in all its glory. Between Inosuke and his friends, I added - mainly - feathers. Crow feathers around Tanjiro, Sparrow feathers around Zenitsu and... well, honestly I put sharp, demonic teeth around Nezuko. It felt like the feathers had no direct connection to her, so I had to improvise.

Pet's KnY OC Timeline/Ref Sheet

Hello all, this is gonna be long. When I get into something I tend to drop canon and play around in the world's background so none of these have much to do with actual canon characters. I won't go into detailed story specifics to save a little space.

Part 1: Sengoku era (ages listed as of 1600)

Nanbu Kisuke (南部 喜介) - 1548-[???] - 52

no canon image

Took in Genba, Raisho, and Ujizane over the years as apprentices when their families were killed. Taught them swordsmanship and how to kill demons, basic first aid, etc. Refuses to acknowledge them as sons but fulfills the role of adoptive father nonetheless.

Fiercely anti-samurai; disgraced former member of the Nanbu clan. Ronin in an age where that was almost as dangerous as demon hunting. “No gods, no masters, just me and this sword I found” type of guy.

Disappeared under mysterious circumstances in 1593. Later reappeared as a demon, leading his students to swear an oath to kill him.

Toumomi Raisho  (友美 来章) - 1569-1600 - 31

(first one's mine, 2nd one's a comm from @azreto who i highly recommend)

Hair: silver, Eyes: gold, Scars: parallel dimple scars, Height: 5'11 (180 cm)

Orphaned twice. His family were unlucky silk producers; his facial scars are from a skirmish they fled when he was a toddler. As a boy, his parents were killed in a bandit raid, and he was taken in by his sister and her husband. In his early adolescence, his sister's family was killed by a demon, and he was taken in by Kisuke.

Killed in 1600 by Utsubyou.

Clever and mischievous, artistic and charismatic. Finds great amusement in getting reactions out of people. He likes things that flow, monsoons, and colors. He also likes experimenting with clothing, but that tends to be a luxury he doesn't have access to.

Myo-o Ujizane (明王 氏真) - 1571-[???] - 29

(both mine)

Hair: black, Eyes: black/red, Scars: shoulder, back, legs, Demon crest: facial spiral, Height: 6' (183 cm)

Only son of a family of bamboo cutters. He was attacked by a demon on his way home from marking out a grove and barely escaped with his life, however, when he got home, the demon had already slaughtered his family, and been killed by Kisuke. Kisuke took him to his home for Raisho and Genba to treat his injuries, and then returned to bury Uji's family. Yue, his closest friend, arrived at the graves and presumed him dead; they didn't reunite until their early 20s.

A devout Buddhist. He and Raisho & Genba chose their own surnames at age 15 with Kisuke's guidance.

Became a demon in 1600 in the same clash that killed Raisho & Genba.

Beautiful, serene, but awkward. Unskilled at interpersonal relationships; prone to long silences. Deeply thoughtful and loyal to his chosen people. He favors greens and grays.

Hijikata Genba (土方 玄蕃) - 1573-1600 - 27

(first mine, 2nd that comm from @azreto again, 3rd mine)

Hair: chestnut, Eyes: chestnut, Scars: 2 thin scars across the face ear-to-ear, 1 vertical scar left of the mouth on the chin, 1 diagonal scar on the forehead from mid right eyebrow to temple, Tattoo: white crane, chrysanthemums, fog, setting sun, Height: 5'9 (175 cm)

Lived with Kisuke the longest; he found him on the outskirts of a battle scavenging what was left behind. He doesn't remember ever having a family; he was likely sold by his parents to settle a debt.

Killed in 1600 by Utsubyo

Picked up a taste for sake young, but it hasn't interfered with his swordsmanship. Messy and unmannered, but fiercely loyal and surprisingly kind. Has a very attuned perception when it comes to nature and patterns, but is blunt to the point of rudeness. Shaggy and rough around the edges.

Makino Yue (牧野 由依) - 1573-1612 - 27

Hair: light brown, Eyes: dark brown, Scars/etc: none

Ujizane's closest childhood friend. If things had gone differently, she would have been his wife. She loved him desperately, and was heartbroken when she believed him dead, but recovered in time and married someone else. Her and her husband have issues with conceiving.

When she reunites with Uji when they're older, she's already married. She befriends the trio, and helps them with their own apprentice.

Sweet and frank, fiercely practical, and prone to oddball ideas. In desperate need of an heir, she approaches Raisho (and the other 2) behind her husband's back, hoping to quietly find a solution for their difficulties. It works, but if she hadn't gotten extremely lucky in her choice of husband, it could have gone very, very badly.

When the trio die, she and her husband take in Mikinosuke as a member of the household.

Dies in childbirth with her 3rd (Mego)

Children: Kaya, Yoshinao, Mego

Mizuharu Mikinosuke (瑞治 幹之輔) - 1585-1653 - 15

(first mine, second another commission from @azreto im serious yall go give him money he's so good) (yes i know it says 15 but he meets demon uji in his early thirties so there)

Hair: black, Eyes: oversaturated blue, Motif: Koi, Height: 5' 10 (178 cm)

An orphan of war that Raisho took in. Trained in swordsmanship by the trio, until their deaths in 1600, when he moved in with Yue's family.

He encountered Demon!Uji in his early thirties, and spared him out of grief and guilt. An anonymous letter he received later gave him the location of Raisho & Genba's graves.

Took a wife arranged for him by Yue's husband; Koike Omiko. Though their relationship starts out stiff, they warm up to each other easily, and have a quiet but loving marriage.

Utsubyou (鬱病) - [???]-1600 (???)

Hair: indigo, Eyes: midnight blue, Demon crest: wings, facial spots

Plague demon. Preferred MO is finding a small village and hiding in the outskirts, poisoning the water and picking off the unwanted until everyone is too ill or incapacitated to stop him, and then feasting. Sleepy and morose, lazy, but territorial.

Kills Genba and Raisho in 1600 when they trespassed into his village. Raisho's final blow was just barely fatal, causing Utsubyou to bleed out faster than he could regenerate. When this blood contaminated Ujizane's wounds, he became a demon.

Sadly many kny writers don’t label fics so when people have filtering on it still comes through, for example I have something that I don’t like so I put it in filtering but it still always comes up- leading me to block the author usually which SUCKS.

Part of the reason why I also put my longer smut under a readmore and put the warnings at the top of the post. But like you said, blocking something you don't like is easy, putting a label on something causing it to be hidden almost completely (it yoinks it from the top tag spot if it was up there and hides it upon other things) is unfair.

" No, no, you don't understand! That girl is a demon! She's not my daughter! GIVE MY BABY BACK YOU DEMON -- !! "

Someone drapes a haori over Nomura, covering her view from the commotion. She doesn't know why she stands around like an idiot, she wasn't trained to be stilled when an enemy struck to hurt. But then again...even she needed a moment after almost being drowned to death by her 'mother'.

Leave it a mother's intuition to reveal the changeling's true nature...

Nomura supposes a day like this will come, for her the mother to seek the truth of her real daughter. It just didn't come to the young changeling's mind that the woman would do something as drastic as this; attempting to drown her while bombarding her with questions. If it wasn't for the passerby, maybe Nomura had to kill the woman in order to survive.

Her heart (whatever is left of it) aches. The mother didn't start out like this in the beginning, only to become suspicious after a few years raising the changeling like her own daughter. Attachment is a dangerous thing, her naivety and hope has led to this mess...

" Nomura, is it? "

The man that had given her his haori kneels down to her level. She manages to dart her eyes away from the screaming and struggling mother being carried away by other people. Reminding herself of her purpose, she gathers tears to spill, eyebrows already furrowed as she brings her hands to grasp tightly on her kimono, a mask of sorrow is about to be slid on --

Green eyes find maroon-red ones, and a sudden pressure makes the changeling freezes.

The human before her doesn't look too much out of the ordinary. He looks simple, humble even. His expression says nothing of his emotions, but Nomura notices the way his hand rests on the hilt of his sheathed sword by his hip. The earrings on his ears sway as he tilts his head a bit.

" What are you? " He doesn't beat around the bushes.

A spark of panic rises in her. Something is off with this human, and every danger senses of hers are screaming in terror.

" M-Mister...what are you talking about..? " Play innocent, play weak, play clueless --

" You're not a demon. " His voice draws on without a single tone of anything that reveals his emotions.

" Of c-course I am not, mister -- "

" Do you eat humans? "

The question almost has her stagger. No, she doesn't eat humans. Her other changeling comrades may find some pleasure in doing so, but she has never tasted a human's blood since she came out of the Darklands.

" No. "

Nomura curses herself, for allowing her voice cracks and revealing that she's not a pitiful looking child that she masked herself to be. She darts her eyes around, trying to find an opening for her escape. Fighting back is not option unless she wants more people to see her for what she is. She can scream, draw more attention for the others to come and separate her from this man --

" Is she safe? "

This one has her gaze snaps back to the man immediately.

" What? "

" The child you replaced, " his gaze never waver, " is she safe? "

For once, the truth is her saving grace. Nomura nods. " Yes. "

The man stares at her for a few more seconds before withdrawing away, his hand leaves his sword and he straightens up. Despite the clear space between them, this doesn't reassure the changeling the slightest.

Her human father comes to fetch Nomura, and she silently curses her guardian for being so late. The haori stays on as they take their leave, and she can feel the man's stare on her back like a sharp dagger.

Nomura doesn't dare to look back.

((Some quick notes before I kick off this blog:

All threads from the last time I was in KNY are being dropped! Instead I will start fresh with Nathaniel, since I am taking a different approach this time.

As for Nathaniel himself:

> His canon point is up to current, but his portrayal will be from the Guild Arc.

> The memories he has forgotten upon arriving in this place are the ones from after the fight with Akutagawa and from his time with the Rats/being brainwashed and working for Fyodor. 

This means that Nathaniel has no memory of Margaret being in a coma, or of fighting Akutagawa, and he certainly has no idea that he betrayed the Guild to work for Fyodor!

> Since Nathaniel is a minister/reverend (and I assume ordained), and is very heavily devoted to God, there will be a fair amount of talk about religion/Christianity. The tag I will be using is ‘Religion TW’ as well as ‘religion tw’.

Renaming the Pillars!

At long last, the World Swap AU continues! The Demon Slayer Corps’ great leader and Pillars shall be renamed for being in Clover Kingdom!

Credit to @cringeyvanillamilk for helping me with this project. There are two specific moments when she really came in clutch which I will call out when they come up. Renaming the Black Clover characters was something I managed all on my own, but after that, she stepped up and helped take the Demon Slayer character names and change them into Western names for the AU.

Renaming the Demon Slayer characters is a lot harder because of how specific the meanings of the kanji in their names are. Every kanji’s meaning couldn’t be involved in the new names. We may have taken some liberties to have the name be more punny/reflective of their magic. Also, some of these names won’t sound completely real. Let’s be real, though, what real person would name a kid “Fuegoleon”?

Again, I’m not an etymology or linguistics expert. Neither is @cringeyvanillamilk. I admit that some of the “research” for this renaming project was basic Google searches. We did our best to double check the meanings of words and kanji used in the original and AU names. A few of them were really difficult to track down.

As stated before, when names are written in English, the given name will come before the surname. When written in Japanese, the surname comes first.

I was rereading my own meta post about Kanao's development recently, and it made it me really eager to do more with her. She is my muse lately. More below the cut, of course.

How did Zenitsu carry a cup over there while using crutches for two busted legs? Don't question it, a girl was crying.

Is Inosuke crying too? Yeah, probably. But if you ask him he'll be utterly convinced of it when he says no.

Demon Slayer Renaming Continued

Thanks again to @cringeyvanillamilk for assisting me with this renaming project! I’d also like to give a shout out to @cryo-visionary, @spindaonateaspoon, and @loafingdragon for letting me bounce my thoughts off them while I was coming up with the last few names! These guys are good friends and wonderful creators! Please, check out their blogs!

Now it’s time to reveal the new names for the other Demon Slayer character for their migration into the world of Black Clover. Like with the Pillars, it was hard breaking down these Japanese names and finding names with similar meanings/feelings to them.

Thankfully, some of these characters are related to character already given their surnames so that takes care of explaining a few of them. Still, there was quite a bit of work to do.

As always, names written in Japanese are written with the surname first. Names written in English have the given name first.
