Bootleg pound puppies right here, pretty techno colored

The listing has been sold sadly, but at least we have it archive here, even so, not much to say, funky colored pound puppy, if I had to guess it probably come out in the 80s around the same time when this franchise boomed.

Either way, let’s hope it’s new owner is happy to have them, what a neat find.

Bootleg/Knock Off Toy Factory Neopets Scorchio found on a Ebay bid,

Though very popular, Neopet bootlegs/Knock Offs are extremely rare and just not as common as other things, though there are ripoffs there is a different between fakie and highly similar made concepts, AKA unofficial made products based off copyrighted characters NOT a highly similar product obviously trying to ��capitalize on its more popular concept it’s trying to copy with some differences,

Either way, I’ve also never seen Toy Factory create bootleg/unofficial related products, there company always stuck to officially licensed products, either this was made for a quick buck for the Neopets craze at the time or it wasn’t the company but completely different bootleggers who happen to used a Toy Factory tag from whatever factory they got it from, though rare stuff like this does happen, despite that it’s design is very obvious Scorchio based. Also I’m very unsure if the bid is out there or who won it!

Another bootleg of another franchise from the 80s at the time, that being the “Wuzzles,���

This isn’t the only time this company has done this, Remco, there way more examples of ripoffs if you just Google there name, you will find them, there most known fakie is a My Little Pony one,

Called the “Firffels,” just like the wuzzles, there quirk is being hybrids between different animals, like this frog butterfly, a bird fish, monkey elephant, etc,

They even made figures of these, books for the characters, even cassettes reading out the books, let’s just say if they didn’t get sue for selling these, they were sure to make more, plus Disney doesn’t own the concept so knockoff companies could go all out,

Don’t know if anyone was sued for this, all I know is that they exist, and are sorta rare to find nowadays, having a few Ebay listings with large prices.
