damn, i actually loved this! so so tender, so sweet 😭
i loved the way you narrated the scene, how you conducted their actions through the reader's place as something like a dance they're expected to play along to.
and namjoon feeling obligated to take that step, omg! it's refreshing to see guys being able to deny things sexually and to be heard and understood, specially when he thought it could lead to a break up, but said it nonetheless!
anyway, really, really loved this. so very soft and endearing 🥺 loved this namjoon, so communicative with the reader ❤️
30 Day Rule | Kim Namjoon
🌑pairing | Kim Namjoon x gn!reader 🌘genre | established relationship, fluff 🌗word count | 886 🌖includes | food mention, slightly suggestive, make-out session, boundaries, healthy communication
🌕blurb | It had been a month since your first date together, which meant the 30-day rule had taken effect and it was appropriate - no, expected - for Namjoon to initiate the next step in the relationship.
“You wanna eat ramyeon before you go?”
There it was, the dreaded innuendo of his generation. The question sounded innocent enough to any passersby might have overheard the exchange. But there was a cultural subtext to your words: do you want to sleep with me?
The gears in Namjoon’s head worked double time, but he couldn’t think of a single excuse to turn you down. He'd just walked you back to your apartment after a casual date in the park. It had been a month since your first date together, which meant the 30-day rule had taken effect and it was appropriate - no, expected - for Namjoon to initiate the next step in the relationship.
So he nodded, flashing his dimples in the hope that it would distract you from his tight-lipped smile.
His smile grew a bit more genuine when he noticed the tips of your ears turn red as you fumbled with the keypad to your front door. It was cute how eager you were to invite him in. Maybe after a few more weeks of dating, he would have been just as excited to get you into bed. But right now he just hoped to get it over with before he choked on all his swallowed anxiety.
The second Namjoon stepped foot into your apartment, your hands were already pulling off his coat. He searched for your lips in the dark as he hurried to kick off his shoes.
This was the part that he enjoyed the most. Nothing felt more intimate than the way your body pressed against his as you seek to deepen the kiss. He loved when your fingers danced up to tangle in his hair and the way you would shudder in his arms each time he did that trick with his tongue.
It was too bad he couldn’t linger in this stage of the relationship.
Namjoon let you guide him into your apartment as his lips traveled down to kiss along your neck. The two of you stumbled into your kitchen when he lost the nerve to take even a step further. He knew your bedroom couldn't be more than a few feet away and crossing that threshold felt like too daunting of a task for him.
To distract you from his hesitance, Namjoon tightened his grip on your waist and lifted you onto the kitchen counter. His stomach flipped when you parted your legs without a second thought to pull him between your thighs. Everything was moving quicker than he could register it all, but he felt pressured to go one step further and prove to you that he could keep up.
His hands brushed up the curve of your hips to slip beneath the hem of your shirt. The skin beneath his palms felt flushed as his fingers ghosted over your stomach. Namjoon pulled back for a moment to look at you for reassurance but frowned when he caught a glimpse of your face.
The light was dim, but it was enough for him to recognize the apprehension etched into your features. For just a moment your eyes reflected the same anxiety that had transformed Namjoon's legs to jelly. But then it was gone, replaced by a strained smile when you noticed him watching you.
The realization that you were also nervous helped give Namjoon the courage to say what needed to be said. Even if it meant that he left your apartment as a single man.
“I don’t think I can do this.” Namjoon blurted the words out before he could second guess them. He pulled his hands out from under your shirt to brace himself against the counter. There was a flash of hurt and confusion in your eyes, but he refused to let that stop him from being honest.
“I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you this past month. And I know there’s this, expectation that we have to take the next step after dating for a set amount of time. But I like where we are right now.” He could feel his face heat up and he fought the urge to shift his gaze. “I don’t mean that I never want to take that next step with you. It's just that I don’t feel ready yet.”
The room fell impossibly quiet as he held his breath in preparation of your response. You let out a deep sigh and slumped forward to rest your head against Namjoon’s chest. “Thank fuck. I don’t even know what I was thinking with that whole ramyeon thing.”
Namjoon broke out in his first real smile since you invited him in. He pulled you tighter against his chest and buried his face into your hair to muffle his laughter. “It was a good suggestion,” he chuckled. “You wouldn’t happen to have instant noodles, would you?”
“I think so,” you hummed in response. You wiggled out of Namjoon’s arms to smile up at him. “How about you go find a good documentary on Netflix while I make us something to eat?”
Namjoon felt his heart swell. He felt so thankful that he had spoken up when he did and shifted the mood for the night. It made him feel so much closer to you. “That sounds perfect,” he murmured before he pressed a quick kiss to your cheek.
A/N: I love soft Joonie; he's the perfect start to easing out of the yandere content that's been dominating my blog this past month.

ok, so. well. how should i start this?
i'm actually staring at my phone for around 40min trying to come up with words cus i actually teared up reading this — and although i am very emotional, your writing just stabbed me in the chest istg 😭🔪
so, out of words, i decided to try and understand how you did it. how did you fit seven months worth of intimacy and comfort into 3.5k words? how did you fit an eternal goodbye into 3.5k words? honestly this was devastating and i don't know if i should thank you for sharing such a sincere and genuine work, or scream at you for writing such a sad piece
it all began so softly, so sweetly. we are allowed within their domesticity, the easiness with each other, the reading emails while the other is arranging flowers (and omg if namjoon doesn't fit among flowers 😭).
oh and i really liked namjoon's profession too, never thought of him as working with oceanography, but it suits him a lot now that i think about it. also kuroshimae is such a cute pet name?? so sweet, so unique, want someone to call me that 😭
but i was so wrapped by the initial fluff and...
now i'm like—
i thought it was nice that, since we experience it through jimin's perspective, we see the difficulty of ever framing namjoon's job offer as a good thing. how can something that takes away love from you be good? like sure, it's what namjoon wants but not what jimin wants, and things that make jimin sad should be illegal honestly, i dont even care, just criminalize everything this man wants 😭🤧
and you actually reveal and depict with perfection the heartbreaking moment you realize that the best thing for someone is the worst possible for you. having to say out loud that you wouldn’t want that person to stay "just for you", when that's actually all that you could possibly ask for. you want to be selfish, to not let the person go but... you love them to much to even consider it for real.
and the worst part of it is that it's much easier for namjoon. he got his dream job in a new country: everything is new, his mind will have a lot to digest and understand, but for jimin? the only new thing he has to familiarize himself with is absense 💔
thinking about it, i think that what broke me the most was the memorization part: will jimin be able to remember namjoon's hand? will he be able to survive with the ghosting feeling of namjoon's lips? the soft kisses that lingers forever but never lasts enough... yeah, you effectively broke me, i hope you're proud of your self 😭
i wanted to talk about some interesting writing choices you made, that i think helped a lot with the effect the fic provokes.
for example, i liked how you decided to write it in past tense (don't know if it's a commom thing for you, but it definitely makes sense here). it creates the impression that it's all already a memory, already vanishing, not present anymore and grasping for integrity.
because of it — and im not sure if it's not just my pessimist self — i tend to think they won't work out. the ending, to me, seemed to hint at it too: the doubt you create with the letter: was it just delayed... or did namjoon forget? i'm not the biggest long distance relationship believer so... yeah 🥲
also i think you were able to bring forward the gut wrecking, heart clenching feeling of the inevitable goodbye. the good thing in your life that's too good to not try, but too good to not break you when it goes away, and even though you know it's temporary, you'd still rather have it. it's so hard to deal with this things because time seems nothing but against you on those moments, and we can feel thet here because you were able to emulate the sentiment with a lot of accuracy (im not sure that's a good thing for readers though, lol 💀)
on that note, i especially liked your management of pacing here. the way you narrate fleeting moments of a goodbye, the way time seems to slip away and how fast it goes when we most need it to stop, it was all really well depicted by your pace 😮💨
anyway
it was my first time reading something of yours and I'm just sad i didn't find your blog sooner. you have a delicate and thoughtful prose that invades you in the most subtle way and... well, before we know it, we're crying at one in the morning
Let You Fly [Namjoon x Jimin]
Summery: Namjoon and Jimin have been together for only 7 months and it’s been near perfect. The two fit together wonderfully. All changes when Namjoon’s dream job offer slides itself into his inbox. He’d been eyeing the position in Japan for years… It wouldn’t be fair to Jimin to pack up his bags and join Namjoon, but it wouldn’t be fair to Namjoon to try to force him to stay. Instead, Jimin must let him fly.
Pairings: Namjoon (BTS) x Jimin (BTS)
Rating: E for everyone
Warnings: None
Word Count: 3.5k words
Genre: Angst, A touch of fluff
A/N: A big thank you to @bluewhale52 for betaing! Your feedback was soooo helpful!!!!!!!
A/N2: This fic is part of @bangtanwritingbingo’s summer bingo! The prompt for this is “Jimin x Namjoon”!
