I sometimes get intrigued by mosaic patterns. They create such nice graphic designs in stockinette and high contrast color.  These hats are languishing because I lost interest, but I a photo on IG reminded me of them.  Knitted in lovely Cormo fingering, they are squishy too. Okay, I know I know....you just heard from me right? Never mind all that. I should have shared this much earlier in the day...but I was working on this impromptu thing...this new design you see here, re-created in the form of a stitch pattern from an existing pattern, for a colleague. . One of the things that you've got to know about me is that I don't do "simple". Don't get me wrong, I love succinct & things that are to the point. That's just not how I roll...and so I've given up trying to squeeze my verbosity...my rich & lively language into that little box to check off. . Stitch Patterns 1/ My favorite basic is seed stitch. If you are a thrower, you likely hate it. It has tons of texture, showcases yarn beautifully, and is flat, like garter. It tends to spread, so always block it!
