Okay for your pillowtalk event, how about our ace, Daiki? Daiki is such an awkward and shy lover. I’m sure the first couple-ly thing that he did was go to a school dance or party with momoi cause she didn’t realize her feelings for kuroko but did not want to go to the school dance alone. I think the definition of awkward really suits him.

He's definitely a guy who knows he's cute and popular but I think he cares little for it (I think Kise has much more pressure from this instead), since in my mind D's real struggle is to establish a functional relationship in general. Let me explain better: he's very direct but sometimes misreads/doesn't perceive other people's feelings, so he needs a translator or someone who is completely crystal clear with him, brutal if necessary (see Satsuki and Kuroko).

This maybe also translates into rough manners or apparent indifference, but I think it's his way of attracting attention without admitting that he's suffering or needs help or acknowledgements (I don't think it's pride, rather stubbornness, perhaps also a bit of the 'if she cares, she'll take the first step' dynamic). I think he seeks confirmation that he is relevant in the lives of others in the most absurd ways, actually. 🥁

I think a central role in the relationship for him is to feel understood and loved both psychologically and physically (I think the two are rather closely interconnected for D, but that's another point). I also think he is the kind of person who needs someone to talk openly about his feelings for him (I think this would make him melt in 3 seconds flat).

Talking about this with @storyhuntress13, she pointed out to me that in love relationships he builds up a little at a time (probably because of trust issues or because a part of himself is a little uncertain) but in the end I agree with her that when he's in love he is reliable, honest and extremely protective.

🤹‍♀️The process might take a while, tho. 🤹‍♀️

Another aspect I find realistic and that I have read in a canon of @touchstarvedirl is the fact that he adapts little by little to your way of being (expecially if he perceives you shy or very different from him), learning on the spot and gradually understanding your couple limits. PDA is more important to him than to you, I think it is part of feeling 'connected' to his special person.

I also agree with you that it is easy to taunt him, even if he will never admit it. I don't know how easy it is to approach, because in my opinion getting his attention is either very easy (he likes you at first sight, but would he make the first step? Would he send Momoi? I just don't know) or very complex, not because he has a narrow prototype, but because he has a very restricted and very monotonous routine in which to fit in is difficult in my opinion.

The observation you bring back to me is really interesting, especially because Teppei's character (in my opinion) is one of the most complex and least predictable in the entire work.

✏️ Let' start from the facts!

As confirmed by the author, the two had a few dates, and as reported here, with an opinion I partly share. I think the point of no return was Teppei's injury as well , but I don't think the reason for the break-up was a personal Iron-hearted reaction, rather a consequence of things.

Riko and Teppei are similar because they love basketball and both want to take their team to a high level, they probably found each other cute but… I think they are quite incompatible.

Riko is decisive, rather straightforward and sometimes insensitive.

Kyoshi is quite the opposite, and has his own private bubble which remains rather impenetrable because it is defended with all his forces. This trait might be divisive, is difficult to accept in my opinion for some part of the couple, because either you are very mature and understand, or you feel cut off.

So I think that the relationship wore off itself, naturally. Maybe Riko is still a little attached to him, but on the other hand Teppei is unreadable.

Hyuuga, on the contrary, will be a very good leader when he learns to contain his emotions and his particular character. I think he is better matched with her precisely because of the lively exchange they would have, even if not always productive, but I also know that he would always give in because he has an obvious crush on Riko.

My stories are all quite fluff and hinty, but I have a certain reticence to write a straight smut, not so much because I don't like the genre ( which I read gladly being of age) but, it's hard to write for me because it needs a care and detail to not be boring that I think I don't have, plus it would be parts of a story (even oneshots) with a plot, because that's how I mean it.
