the thing about the thing is that any klaus ship makes more sense than kl*roline and those people have to act like that to compensate. and i do mean literally any klaus ship.

the originals edition? klaurora ate. would've done great things if not for elijah. klamille? ain't everyone's cup of tea but it still makes more sense for klaus to have an interest in her than that other blonde girl at the very LEAST from a psychology aspect and to get at marcel and kieran. klayley? even if the only thing they Ever did was hate fuck, it still would've been more in character. klaus and lucien, klaus and genevieve, all of them make at least some sense from a narrative point of view.

tvd? klaus and elena? would've been a dark and twisty ass romance, but would've been great to witness. klaus and bonnie? not only would it have been eagerly accepted, but it was WANTED by the actors too. klaus and katherine? c'mon. Hmm…

No, I hate them.

Okay, let me qualify—I think that they could be a dumpster fire together that I’d love to see crash and burn (which is what happens in canon) but the fact remains that I’m not all that interested in Lucien as a character.

He immediately rubs me the wrong way in canon. I hate when stories do the thing where they introduce a new character as a Very Old Very Good Friend—that we’ve never heard of. (No, Marcel doesn’t count as that. Shut up. Marcel is perfect.)

His dynamic with Klaus isn’t unique in almost any way—it’s echoed by many other, better character dynamics across TO. And (SPOILERS) the fact that he turned out to be truly and completely evil by the end kind of retroactively kills any interest I had in him. His plan all along was to kill the Mikaelsons? Boo, boring. Go to tvd with such a pedestrian goal.

Actually, I think the best way to enjoy Klucien is that very, very brief moment where Lucien is human, hates Klaus, knows Klaus is a vampire, and tries to kill him—yet is still wounded and crying and must be comforted by Klaus. That is objectively their most interesting dynamic and it’s a shame it didn’t last longer than a scene. It’s about the POWER IMBALANCE, y’all! The hatred, the futility of that hatred! And yet there’s still something there, underneath the hate.

Who, of Klaus' canon love interests (And of the ones you prefer him with if you want), can you see him being with together? Would they be together too?

i assume you mean polyamory in which case i have to preface this by saying while i do think klaus could and would have multiple lovers he does not intentionally practice healthy polyamory because he doesn't do anything healthily he's an asshole no matter what BUT he doesn't hide shit because he doesn't think he should have to not because he cares about people knowing what he's doing. with that being said he had feelings for more than one person and they seemed open to it i do think he'd want the best of both worlds and if they were open to it he'd be open to it but he's the type where if they want a partner outside of him (and it's not each other) he's shutting that shit down lmfao OKAY ALL THAT BEING SAID

we KNOW he's had feelings for more than one person at one time (aurora and cami) but the problem there is aurora's insane jealousy and subsequent murder of cami actually makes that a terrible trio which is very funny to me because i think if cami knew the circumstances of aurora you know like. before the attempts on her life started and aurora wasn't doing All Of That she'd sympathize and bow out (i cannot say that aurora would be open to polyamory if she wasn't with both of the people. cami might! aurora? ehhh. if klaus and aurora had been together for centuries by that point and wanted a third they would get one i think a whole lot of aurora's jealousy comes from the fact she was forcefully removed from klaus' life against both their wills. if they were still together and they met cami and they liked her they would want her and go about getting her)

anyway so like. canon love interests cami would be down, i think hayley (not a love interest but yk) would be down but only if it was someone she Liked, tatia and katherine don't really count but i KNOW katherine would be down, uhh. genevieve i think would be okay with it if you know. she got to live. but i think that would really be her complex about klaus. caroline wouldn't be

Could you write a short meta about how Lucien and Aurora are the evil counterparts of Klaus and Camille ?

I have written a meta on Lucien a while ago where I draw a parallel between him and the Mikaelson family, not just Klaus, if you would like to take a look. Specifically about Lucien and Klaus’s dynamic, I wrote this:

“The problem with people who have a traumatic past and see themselves as monsters is that with time they learn to erect walls around them which turn them into cold, ruthless killers to hide how close to the breaking point they are. In that aspect, Klaus and Lucien are very similar. However, Klaus has always had people who love him and fight for him by his side, showing him it’s okay to be kind, to not give into the temptation of darkness, to be flawed and human. When the compulsion broke, Lucien was lost, vulnerable, and all alone. It was easier to embrace the darkness than to fight it because the wounds ran too deep, and I think that was, maybe more than when he was turned into a vampire, the moment he truly became a monster. He had to make a choice; either he became one, or he would have to live in utter agony for the rest of his days. He had no one to tell him it would get better, that they would help him get through it. So he chose the former.“

I do believe that Klaus Mikaelson could have become Lucien Castle if he didn’t have his family and his loved ones to ground him and make him human, and therefore I can agree that Lucien somehow mirrors Klaus’s storyline, only as an evil counterpart.

I don’t really see how Aurora could be Cami’s evil counterpart, though, because the only thing they have in common in my eyes is the love for Klaus Mikaelson, present or past. Camille O’Connell has a darkness in her, yes, and she has never quite learned to embrace it, but she still controls it better than Aurora ever did. I don’t see a way Cami could ever become Aurora. Not even in her darkest hours as a vampire did she become so obsessed and dangerous. And unlike Lucien, Aurora always had Tristan to look out for her, as Cami had the people who love her. And despite that, they both followed very different paths, because they are different people. If you meant evil counterpart as Cami’s own antagonist, sure. She was in a way a symbol of the worst the vampirism could bring and Cami had to defeat that kind of darkness, but they never really mirrored each other.

(Edge (a blond human of about 12) is sitting with his communication device with his best friend Malik ( a brunette human of about 12))

Edge: Can you believe it Malik?

Malik: That you hacked your communication device?

Edge: No, that I am talking to a female.

Malik: Ok, it is hard to believe your talking to Faelerah female. Considering we live in a society devoid of women.

Edge: I know I am so lucky! ( They both giggle.) Let’s look at her picture again. ( He pushes a button on his communication device and we see a cute blue skinned female in several pictures.) I am more intrigued every time I see her figure.

Malik: I bet you are.

Edge: Hey Malik, Do you have the Chance collectible doll. I want him to sign it. ( We see a box with a blond doll in it, who must be Chance)

(The Nash’s house downstairs)

We see a picture, of what must be Edge and his Human father when Edge was little. The camera moves up and we see his human father put it back on a shelf)

Static: ( Human father Nash’s first name) Edge! Ready to go?

Edge: Hold on a second.

Static: I can’t hold on a second. Jace is waiting for us.

(Edge pushes a button to make the pictures disappear from his communication device and tries to put thedevice back to a neutral screen. Both humans get nervous. Edge’s father enters the room.)

Static: Baby, what are you two doing? I thought you guys were excited for today.

Static: and what are you doing on your communication device?

Edge: Me and Malik were just looking up information on our new school.

( Edge brings up the school website. Static starts scrolling threw the popped up virtual website. Scrolling threw a virtual tour of the school.) 

Static: ( looks over and picks up the doll) I always knew he would become something big. Me back when I was in school I had a blonde Mohawk. Obviously I was the coolest person there. I mean how could anyone beat a hair do like that.

Edge: Probably easily.

Static: Well, meeting up with everyone again is going to be great. You are going to love all the memories your going to make. Now let’s go meet up with our friends. ( as he leaves he takes the hat off Malik’s head.)

Malik: (to Static) Hey! I liked wearing that.

Jai (Devinee): I made a new coffee blend I highly recommend it. It has tapioca and coco in it. It’s very sweet and has a kick of texture with it. It also goes great with the muffins I make that you love so much Lucien.

Lucien: Jai, ideally I’d like something that wasn’t a days worth of calories. You know I am watching my weight.

Jai: The drink is healthier than it sounds. Why don’t you try some. Then we can take a walk together, so you can burn some of the calories. We can go to the park we’re some of our friends and their kids are gathered and you can brag about the new drink.

Lucien: Alright, alright. Oh my gosh is that Armand? (A small human of about 5 walks up to them)

Jai: Yeah.

(He hangs up his device. As he does you see the flash of his engagement ring.)

( Chance gets out of the ufo and enters the park)

Jace: A female Falererian Edge me on some inter-spacial chat room. I bet she’s actually one of those spikey alien things, that will poke him anytime he gets close.

Edge: And your a young immature Alien with wings but I am still friends with you.

Jace: Oh, very funny.

Tobias: Ok. If your meeting some strange alien you met in a chat room. It could be really dangerous.

Edge: We just met I have been talking to him for months and your telling me about strangers.

Malik: Guys don’t worry Jasmine is totally cool she’s coming here on some Falerian mission.

Jace: What kind of mission would a Falerian go on?

Edge: She’s a voluntary missionary. She travels with other aliens that help planets that are at war even ones like ours were the war our soldiers are fighting is on a different planet. She’s going to have some spare time. Stop worrying about me.

Axle: We are friends. We are just trying to help.

Jai: No, your meddling and feeling sorry for me all of you are and I am sick and tired of it so please leave me alone.

Axle: Oh, and none of this has to do with Chance?

Jai: No, of course not. I mean I don’t like him but I don’t think the rest of you do.

Axle: Maybe not but it’s his choice.

Jai: Yes, I know that, but he feels sorry for me too, just like the rest of you. I am tired of all this and I am leaving.

Axle: I think you’re the one feeling sorry for yourself, so stop blaming everyone else.

Chance: Oh no, we were just discussing some of the moments on my show.

Edge: Yeah, he has some really great stories.

Static: Honey do you want to join us for a little while.

Edge: No, I am going to go back to bed.

If lucien and klaus actually did end up having a more romantic history what do u think it would of been like and played out in the show?

It would have been fun if Klucien’s romantic history came from a re-acquaintance between the two happening a few centuries after they were parted. They run into each other again and things happen between them. They even love each other truly and deeply but then fizzle out cause they’re both bad boys and it’s a recipe for disaster type of thing. Kept hooking up every once in a while though. Hence them hooking up in 3x01. It would have made the Lucien wanting to kill Klaus storyline via becoming a super vamp an even more intense development i think.
