Looking back on this AU is funny because I used to think Iansan was the Pyro Archon before we met Nahida and Mavuika (I'm still sad we don't have any playable male child characters). But I wonder if Mavuika would even notice? Surely she would, right? What would she even do about it? She would try to help, surely. If she wasn't preoccupied with her own nation's war against the Abyss and with the problem with the Sacred Flame. But she also seems like she might be benevolent enough to try and help anyway.

(Edit: I just realized that she would have to help him anyway to help him get out of her nation faster because he would distract her because of the curse. It would be both benevolence and for her nation's and her own benefit.)

Any ideas for an au where Kaeya is not only a trouble magnet but also Pyro Bait? As in he attracts Pyro users and Pyro aligned beings like catnip.

It would be funny to see when it finally dawns on him that he is a Pyro magnet on top of already being a trouble magnet. Now all of the Pyro users and enemies (Slimes, Hilichurls, Pyro Regisvine, etc.) being drawn to him makes a whole lot more sense. 

He would drop his head into his hands and just groans loudly. I bet he'd even come to the realization in Angel's Share when he's half sloshed and thinking back over the past month.

when the illustrious prodigy albedo gets into a relationship, words spread through the grapevine in the form of hushed gossip. knowledge and phrases are exchanged in the campus halls, hands hovering over their mouths as if sharing something forbidden. the college forums are filled with students inquiring about his whereabouts, waiting for the confirmation that he is indeed off the market.

the campus is set ablaze with the hottest gossip of the year, even teachers are perking their ears for any new information scoured by the investigative ones. it's as if the lectures are put on-hold, everyone sucking in their breaths with tense shoulders - waiting for anything to come through.

an hour later, an anonymous user uploads a photo to the college's forum site. the photo taker is hiding behind a concrete wall, and the quality could definitely be better but it's enough for everyone to audibly gasp over it.

the photo depicts albedo holding hands with (y/n), a humanities major. they're behind a building on campus, probably hiding from probing eyes. yet the attempt is futile, considering they got caught on camera in the end. it's all the confirmation they needed.

for the following months, their relationship was the only thing everyone could talk about.

it seemed outlandish; the idea of albedo, stoic and emotionless in the eyes of the general public, to be in a relationship with a humanities major, no less. whenever albedo walks through the halls, he's often slapped on the back with a congratulations from men he doesn't even bother remembering the faces of. each professor he talks to even shakes his hand in acknowledgement.

a professor whom he even considered to be his aunt, alice, gave him gifts (extra allowance and a box of condoms) when she saw him during her free period. when his eyes widened at the outrageous quantity of condoms, his aunt only giggled and waved him off.

"i do hope you introduce them to us in the next hexenzirkel meeting, I'm sure your aunt barbie would simply adore them!" as she walks away from him, albedo catches glimpses of her wistful mumbling; something about him already growing up and being lovesick.

albedo frowns, his grip tightens, and the force exerted causes the thin cardboard box to slightly crumble. was it really so far-fetched for someone like him to fall in love?

his reputation as a young genius seemed to have painted an image of a ruthless and loveless man in everyone's point of view. sure, he always prioritized his research before any party thrown and he always aimed to pass his work as early as possible... but that's just how he is.

being a biochemistry major doesn't forbid him from finding love.

he sighs and fishes his phone out of his lab coat's pocket.

if nothing else, albedo is comforted by the thought that only you know the true him that's hidden beneath several layers of cool nonchalance. no one else. not even klee, aunt alice or his mother rhinedottir.

people expected albedo's relationship with you to last until the end of life itself. it was clear that what you had with him was no fling - it was as serious it can be. people have even started dubbing you two as the college lovebirds behind your backs.

yet surprisingly, it's you who ended things with him, and no one knows why.

you broke things off two months before your first-year anniversary with him. haypasia heard it from sethos, who heard it from wanderer, who heard it from faruzan, who heard it from kaveh, who heard it from sucrose, who heard it from timaeus, who heard it from-

well... point is, everyone has heard it, one way or another. the primary source is now lost to the sea of common knowledge. the halls buzz with speculations for the first few days, but just like any other hot topic, it eventually burns out into mere embers as time progresses.

besides, it seems like the two of you are doing fine on your own; there is no sign of heartbreak to be found in either face. albedo still submits his work alarmingly early, his lab work is still top notch, and his life is... good. you're still the chosen representative to speak at college events, you always come out on top of debates as usual, and your giant circle of friends still keeps expanding.

your relationship with each other is brushed off as something not meant to be. a simple blunder. it's not like relationships in college are a guarantee that one will marry that person. there's still plenty of opportunities to meet other people in the future.

with thesis season around the corner, the topic of you and albedo is put on a backburner.

but humans are not omniscient; they don't know the thoughts that plague albedo's mind, the sheer longing his body holds for you. of how his hands shake from how long it's been since he last held yours.

they don't know the way albedo looks on in the audience during his research symposiums, looking for a hint of you; they don't know that the absence of you leaves a burning hole in his chest.

this is the third unknown number that texted you this week alone, fifty-sixth overall. and it doesn't need critical thinking to deduce who's behind these texts. with a heavy sigh, your fingers glide across your phone's keyboard as you curtly reply to him.

you don't bother with what his response would be, because you've already blocked the number. but you know there'll be another text in a couple of days, and a few more after that. it's routine at this point, yet you don't have the strength to confront him about it in real life. seeing him in person would just mean that you waltzed right into the palm of his awaiting hand.

still, you want it all to stop.

you bite your lip in frustration, staring up at your ceiling dotted with glow-in-the-dark stars, all of which were placed by albedo himself. the memory of it makes you frown.

at one point in time, you truly did love albedo.

you had met him through your mutual friends, sucrose and timaeus, and things kicked off from there. falling in love with him was easy, despite your initial withdrawal due to his stoic and clinical way of speaking. but through shared conversations, you find that there was so much more to him than that.

but feelings are fickle, and when you find out his phone's lock screen was a photo of you sleeping that you don't remember taking, the red alarm starts blaring inside your head. to other people, it's easy to brush the photo off as a lapse in memory, but you know yourself.

and you know that you've never invited albedo into your room until six months into your relationship, the same day when he decorated your ceiling with the glow-in-the-dark star stickers he got from klee. yet the angle taken from his phone's lock screen allowed you to see a good portion of your ceiling.

it didn't have any glow-in-the-dark stars.

and the angle made it apparent that the photo taker must have been hiding beneath your bed, just waiting for the opportune time until you fell asleep.

the recollection causes shivers to rake through your body, and you're left hugging your pillow in hopes that your new door lock is enough to keep him out of your dorm.

you squeeze your eyes shut, forcing yourself to fall into slumber.

life will be better tomorrow.

your chest falls and rises in a gentle rhythm, and your dorm falls into silence. sleep has enveloped you thirty minutes ago.

from beneath your bed, a gentle thump breaks the tranquility. the sound of elbows scraping against the wooden floor is made apparent as a figure crawls out, not much different from the monsters told in children's fairytales.

albedo brushes strands of his messy hair away from his face. he moves to stand up and he takes out his phone, finger hovering over the camera app. his slip-up has caused him to lose you, and he berates himself every day for being too careless.

had he been more cautious, then he'd still be holding you between his arms right this moment.

he sighs, steadying his phone to take pictures of you once more. the flash is off, and his phone is set to silent to avoid waking you up.

still, a genius like him has never retreated to defeat when faced with adversities. you may be a humanities major, but albedo's intellect allows him to quickly learn and understand concepts outside of his field.

in all due time, he comforts himself.

in all due time, he'll have you once again.

i made a genshin oc,, I KNOW I KNOW not very "i hate genshin" of me but,, theyre so fun to make and i cant even lie about that. i loveddd drawing this girl and thinking up a story for her (more stuff abt her under cut)

as said in the pic, her name is selvi, shes a pyro bow user (yes im giving arlecchino another pyro bow user child). ive wanted to draw a genshin oc inspired by seelies for a long while now and ive only just managed to sit down and actually draw her. i hope she looks at least somewhat like a character in genshin. alsooo ive always wanted to see a pyro character that uses blue fire so ive decided selvi uses blue fire.

i based her design mostly on khaenriahn clothes + a little sumerian, but honestly i just did most of it without references and hoped for the best.

she has zero sense of self preservation and so she has come close to burning herself A LOT after getting her vision, but thankfully her siblings at the house of the hearth have mostly kept her out of danger's way. id imagine she spends a lot of time with lyney as he helps her get better at using a bow with her fire vision, though it doesnt have to be specifically with a bow, id imagine she trains w other weapons too. meanwhile lynette is the one who does her hair every morning and help her dress, and sometimes take her with her while she runs errands for arlecchino.

arlecchino always knew selvi was kind of an odd child. between eating grass and flowers and having multiple wild seelies follow her at a time everytime she took her outside, but selvi was still treated like all the kids arlecchino took in and was given food and a roof above her head and a nice bed to sleep in. though most of the time she didnt sleep and instead was content with following arlecchino around almost everywhere around the house of the hearth for the first 2 years arlecchino took her in, and then watching arlecchino sleep (if she does) and try to cuddle with her.

also,, i was imagining some sort of event with a bunch of characters from diff nations, and albedo and klee would be there, and so would selvi. selvi and klee become instant best friends and albedo sort of takes selvi under his wing and makes her his honorary sister too for the duration of the event, not knowing she technically really is his sister, and is one of rhinedottir's newest experiments.

I've never mentioned this before, but my husband has a crazy habit of intentionally saying names and certain words wrong, in an effort to get people to say them wrong with him. (It drives one of his coworkers absolutely crazy in the best way lol.) But he's caught himself before, saying the wrong name when he meant to say the right one (like "Girl's Feet Line 2" instead of "Girl's Frontline 2" because the creator legit has a foot fetish).

So he has nicknames for a lot of the Genshin characters too...

Kaeya: he pronounces it as "Kay-ah"

Diluc: he either says "Die-luck" or sometimes "Die-lotted" (don't ask why) and if he's feeling especially crazy he'll just randomly say "FOR MONDSTADT" in a Batman voice

Eula: it's either "Eula honey" (since Eula is his main) or "End User License Agreement"

Albedo: how Jean pronounces his name in her voicelines... "Al-bed-oh" instead of "Al-bay-dough"

Childe: Tartar Sauce (derived from Tartaglia)

Their machinations span the entirety of Teyvet and beyond, only ever brushing our peripherals before disappearing again. Notable instances include the Fontaine Archon Quest, and more recently, the Simulanka Summer Event and the Imaginarium Theatre. It's clear to us, even if it isn't to the Traveler, that the Hexenzirkel are a power. However, what do we actually know about them? Admittedly, not much.

The Hexenzirkel is an organisation of witches, mages and humans. Founded by Alice, the Hexenzirkel is said to possess power comparable to the gods. As of 5.5, we still don't know what the Hexenzirkel's aims are or why Alice established them at all. Our own real evidence of a purpose, so to speak, comes from Lisa, in her voice-line about Mona. In it, Lisa implies that the Hexenzirkel embark on "Irminsul exploration." What that means, exactly, we don't know.

Members

Presently, we have no concrete information of the Hexenzirkel’s joining and departure processes, but we do know for certain there are eight members. This is thanks to promotional material released by Hoyo in 2023 during the Windblume’s Breath event. Moreover, we are certain of seven of its members, who are as follows:

The remaining member is entirely shrouded in mystery. We do not know their name, their alias nor their status. The others, however, aren’t so opaque.

Alice is described to have “a longer lifespan than normal humans.” She is adept in alchemy, astrology, engineering, magic and medicine. In Simulanka, she is “the Goddess of Creation”, which is likely a reference to her ability to manipulate entire island systems at will. Additionally, she wrote the Teyvet Travel Guide, and is Klee’s mother. For all that players have yet to meet her in person, Alice’s influence throughout Teyvet is extensive.

Barbeloth is Mona’s teacher, and is described by her student as a “visionary.” An astrologist so skilled she is capable of divining the fortunes of “entire nations, Teyvet and the world itself.” Hence, her title in Simulanka: the Goddess of Prophecy. She even renamed herself “Trismegistus”, meaning “thrice as great”. This is likely due to her being a “master hydromancer, visionary, and astrologist.”

I. Ivanovna N. was a non-magic user in the Hexenzirkel. Instead, she was the first mayor of Snezhnaya, who lived an ordinary human life centuries prior to the start of the game. During the Windblume’s Breath event, we learned Ivanovna fell in love with a man and left the Hexenzirkel. Nevertheless, she seemingly remained in contact with Alice and the others for a time, even confessing to them that she took her husband’s life to ease his suffering from growing old and gravely ill. Moreover, she has had numerous “successors”, none of whom have been acknowledged by Alice until the most recent successor: Scarlett. It’s also implied she authored Vol. 4 of ‘The Little Witch and the Undying Fire.’

Anya M. Andersdotter, or simply Andersdotter, was an exceptional writer, most celebrated for authoring ‘the Boar Princess.’ Similarly to Ivanovna, Andersdotter lacked any magical ability. Nevertheless, her writing was said to be so powerful, it helped Alice better understand grief. In Simulanka, she is the “Goddess of Fate”, and created the fictional character “Durin”, despite Barbeloth’s warnings that he may very well share the same fate as his real-life counterpart.

Nicole Reeyn is widely considered to be a prophet, or more specifically “a prophetess”, who offers guidance to those who most need it. Case in point, she is the teacup players talk to during “Chapter IV: Act V: Masquerade of the Guilty”. Moreover, she is said to be studying “Teyvet’s direction and order.” It’s also implied she may be physically mute, as she describes herself as “suffocated by [her] inability to speak." Nevertheless, she seems to be able to bypass this by “speaking directly into people’s heads.” Wolfy, the NPC seemingly confirms this, by talking about how “Madam Mage (presumably his creator)” has a mute friend who enjoys speaking into people’s minds.

Although information about Octavia is scarce (we’re not even entirely certain Octavia is her name), we do know for sure that she travels extensively. It’s said she has visited many worlds, and carries with her many tales about “the sky beyond the sky.” At one point in her past, her home was completely destroyed, but she lacked the courage to defend it, which prompted her eternal wandering. Her current whereabouts and status are completely unknown, perhaps even to the other Hexenzirkel members, who usually don’t set the table for her during their tea parties.

Aside from Alice, Rhinedottir is arguably the most well-known of the Hexenzirkel members. She is an expert alchemist and has complete mastery over the Art of Khemia. Her proficiency in the Art of Khemia has enabled her to create artificial life more than once: Durin, riftwolves, and most notably, the homunculi, Primordial Albedo and Albedo. Nonetheless, she is considered to be one of the Five Sinners of Khaenri’ah. We assume she earned this title because her creations, Durin and the riftwolves, were “unleashed” upon Teyvet. Although, during the Simulanka event, it’s implied that Rhinedottir didn’t send the riftwolves, only Durin, to “display [his] beauty” to Teyvet, and that the riftwolves invaded on their own.

Conclusion

While the Hexenzirkel remains one of Teyvat’s most enigmatic organizations, what little we do know paints a picture of a group defined not just by magical strength, but by their profound impact on knowledge, creation, destiny, and the fabric of reality itself. Each member—whether mage, scholar, or artist—has contributed uniquely to the world, leaving behind legacies that continue to ripple through history. As Genshin Impact’s story unfolds, the Hexenzirkel’s true purpose, its missing member, and its ultimate role in Teyvat’s fate are mysteries still waiting to be revealed.

DOES THE PYRO VISON HOLDERES DESERVE THEIR ELEMENT?

PYRO

Ye, so Pyro is associated with war in Genshin. Why? Wecause war ravages the land and it kills everything its touches. A heavily destructive force, the element is also related with bad temperaments and rage.

Pyro's positive qualities is its warmth, light and energy.

It can be used to represent love, courage, strength and passion perhaps even ambition.

Now, I am bad at explaining the way I feel a character would represent the love aspect. But basically big positive feelings towards a select few or the entire world. You get me?

Let's begin.

AMBER

Amber is a warm and friendly character but so is most of the cast, so I won't call it out unless a character's warmth is significant enough to do so.

She's energetic, passionate and courageous.

KLEE

BOMB

Also, she a very energetic and passionate child. Klee is also considered the strongest of the knights of Favonius. Also the destruction aspect.

LIGHT

WARM,FUZZY SWEETHEART.

Guys she would love so hard oh my gods. Family, friends, random strangers. It's hard not to adore her and she just loves. I feel so upset about characters that love, like why do we deserve you. Why do we deserve your love. We are horrible, HORRIBLE people.

DILUC

His vision burned out after Crepus died. To compensate for this, Diluc used his father's delusion whilst he hunted down the Fatui. That man went on a rampage and he was exiled from Snezhnaya. So.. rage and destruction.

There's also the case that he lashed out at Kaeya and attacked his brother when he told Diluc about his connections to the Abyss Order allowing Kaeya to gain his vision.

Diluc's vision was rekindled of course, but it was interesting that his passion died the night his father did. The man still holds his dedication to justice.

Power.

Courage.

Also, he and Kaeya have a fire/ice kinda deal going on. I think Diluc and Kaeya deserve to get more story quests, like there is so much more we need to know about those two.

I can't really tell anywhere from the game, the comic or anything about what his relationship with Kaeya used to be, and how badly it broke. I feel that they both want to rekindle their relationship but aren't sure if the other wants to.

Even then, I feel like Diluc also falls int the love aspect. He got banned from a REGION because of what he did after they took his father away from him. His relationship with Kaeya is messy but you KNOW that man has a LOT of feelings.

And that may just be why I think he works with the love factor. His actions gives us an idea of how large and heavy his emotions are , you guys get me, right?

XIANGLING

Let's be honest, her dedication to the art of cooking already explains it. Also she's a chef.

XINYAN

Passionate of course, she's really friendly as well and she has a fiery personality.

Courage in a way. Imagine going onto a stage time and tome again and despite your audience constantly throwing tomatoes at you, you keep coming back to perform what you love.

HU TAO

Energetic.

She also has an interesting relationship with death. She believes that death is a natural part of life and feels that trying to prolong it is meaningless. Hu Tao embraces death.

Also she's a funeral parlour director. Cremation.

I adore how she's associated with butterflies, a symbol of death and change.

YANFEI

You would expect someone who works with law to be a hydro user wouldn't you.

Oh well, Yanfei is very passionate about the law. Like damg.

Also. Fun-fact: She finds Fontaine 's laws too difficult. Which is understandable.

THOMA

I'm not a ThomaTo shipper, but he definitely loves the Kamisato siblings. They are like a family to him and he is extremely loyal to them.

Thoma is a very friendly character and hardworking. He's also protective of the Kamisato siblings. idk guys, he's just one of those characters that you just know loves with all their heart.

The terms 'smoke and mirrors' is used when referring to a magician's tricks.

I'm gonna say a case can be made with love, for his siblings, 'Father' and for the magician that trained him and Lynnette. This boy rarely leaves his sister's side for long periods of time. Also he loves the traveller I don't make the rules you gays can't change my mind.
