Blatant disregard for time travel rules when inconvenienced

Hello Phandom, if you're hungry for DP crossovers that aren't DC I highly recommend you watch the original Star Trek series (at least the first season) because it is so full of potential plots for DP Crossovers. The level of psuedoscience in it is a little goofy at times and ofc it was made in the 60's so there's some era typical social interactions, but I think it would mesh excellently with DP.

We gotta put Danny in Space more often and Star Trek is the perfect way to do it!!! ST has established time travel as a canon possiblity. Alien races working & living alongside humans is also well established. Seeking out new alien species and cultures is the Prime Directive. There is just so much to work with.

For a long time I thought Spectra needed to feed to continue existing at all. And that’s plenty creepy. But she really is just concerned with youth. That’s even creepier. She’s not doing this to survive, just because she can.

IIRC she’s the only parasitic ghost we know of. Some ghosts like Ember and Desiree get a boost from human interactions, but they’re not weaker than the average ghost without “feeding”. In Kitty’s first appearance she needs a permanent host to be in the human realm, but that was circumstantial (the portal closed on her) and by her second appearance that’s all hand-waved away.

Spectra, on the other hand… that’s her bread and butter. Even the nastiest ghost antags don’t revel in hurting people specifically, they’re just indifferent about collateral damage. Their goals happen to entail a lot of suffering for people. Vortex wanted to make the perfect storms but he wasn’t defining “perfect” as “most efficient at killing”. Even Undergrowth had a primary goal of remaking the earth, and a secondary motivation of vengeance. I guess Fright Knight comes pretty close since his goal is to scare people? I know I’m splitting hairs but damn, that’s still slightly less perverse than “misery is delicious”.

And yeah! Spectra makes a point of finding the lowest hanging fruit. The first people she kicks are those who are already down. Nothing is more enjoyable to her than cruelty for cruelty’s sake. And it’s not a necessity; it’s all by choice. Not once is it even implied that she’s remotely unhappy with misery being the thing that sustains her.

I can write why spectra is the most evil and interesting villain in DP

Being a Kaeya fan is literally so hard like I love this character so I go and find fanart of him and I find these extremely talented artists and I go to give them a follow only to find that they draw Kaeya suckin and fuckin with his own brother.

Like come on guys I thought we were past this. Literally there are so many other characters you can ship Kae with that AREN’T his family.

Albedo is right there. Childe is right there, freakin Dainsleif, Jean, Rosaria, and Traveler are RIGHT THERE. Hell, there’s nothing wrong with rarepairs either- Kaeya & Wriothesley. Boom there’s a ship. Thoma’s from Mondstadt originally, you can make a while fic about him and Kae being childhood friends. Shit dude, one of my favorite rarepairs is Kaeya/Capitano.

Okay first of all I can think of nothing funnier than Jack getting an absolutely useless mini horse. Think of that excessively large man with an excessively small equine trailing him, little hooves pitter-pattering. Jack insists on it living in the house with them. They don’t have much of a yard and I have a hard time imagining Jack boarding it elsewhere. It’s family.

Except it’s not always “living” in the house. It’s exactly what schnuffel said: it’s alive or a ghost depending on what’s funniest depending on the circumstances. It’s a halfa like Danny.

Imo one possible interpretation of “what’s funniest” is that it’s a ghost when Jazz and/or Danny are around, and alive when Jack and/or Maddie are around. If, say, Jack and Danny are together, the horse is conveniently absent. So Jazz and Danny think either a) their parents did a weirdly progressive thing, adopting a ghost horse or b) their parents do not realize they adopted a (seemingly) obviously dead horse, like the “dead parrot” Monty Python sketch but in reverse.

Or, OR, the horse’s ghost form is very alive-passing, and just has inverted colors like Danny’s hair in either form. So no one knows it’s at all ghostly; the only discrepancy is that Jazz and Danny think they have a black horse, and Jack and Maddie think they have a white horse. It’s such a mundane thing that no one notices until like, weeks after acquiring the thing. And then it’s the strangest conversation in the world.
