#klaus had no real interest in cami but she's cute so he's like

i'm not gonna lie i don't always find the way the cw writers pair people up to be authentic. especially for klaus. one look at someone and he's smitten because they're attractive? then begins the slow process of getting to know them and he finds some traits he thinks are worth sticking onto? i think it takes him much more to truly care and love for someone. i like the idea of klaus and camille, but i hated the execution through and through. i like the idea of klaus and caroline, but i think there's a lot of depth missing. i think klaus and caroline was probably the most accurate, what with klaus trying to appeal to her "darker" side and caroline being repelled by him. he's a bad person and he makes no pretense for anything otherwise. i just don't see a world where he's automatically gripped by someone.

(Some misc thoughts before I started recording her journey:

In a tragic turn of events my sister does not, so far, like the Originals, which is both totally fine and the worst thing to ever happen 😔

My sister is NOT buying the Klamille romance at this point and I'm SO curious if she'll ever change her mind

She says they were kind of cute and building to something but then she became his therapist and now she doesn't get it at all. Mostly she doesn't get why Cami is even here right now.

She's still firmly with Klaroline. No one in tO has caught her eye for a love interest with Klaus - though she can understand klayley in concept, she just doesn't think Klaus cares about her rn (which is valid, they have *very* few scenes in s1)

We've had a long chat about it and my sister has concluded that Cami should have been a witch (or some other supernatural creature but we settled on witch)

My sister has pointed out that Jackson sounds kind of like Dean 90% of the time he speaks and now I can't unhear it or stop laughing every time he talks 😂

In a shocking turn of events, my sister is in love with Klaus/Genevieve

Her main thing is that there's too big of a power imbalance with him and Cami, but Genevieve is a witch that can stand up to him and put him in his place. (Its also why she's alright with klayley in concept, they just haven't had any real bonding moments yet)

My sister brought up a good point tonight watching the s1 Originals finale, which is - was Hayley sired to Hope? If not, is it because she wasn't grateful for being "freed" from turning, or something else? WAS she sired and just broke the bond off screen?

My sister trying to remember what happened in what she watched of tO: "oh yeah, and he's got Elijah, who we care about, I guess."

In tvd news, after listening to me rave about steroline for four seasons straight, my sister finally, in season five, "sees the ship", but she's still pretty convinced the writers won't actually go there 😆)

She hates Alaric being brought back to life solely because Damon wasn't, which means she's already primed to get on the Alaric hate train 😈

She hates everyone so far bc they've all given up on finding Damon (he's her favorite character). I'm JAZZED for her to find out Enzo's been working all summer to find out what happened to him (& yells at Stefan for giving up). I can convince her of denzo supremacy I KNOW it 😌

[I believe her exact words recently were "you need to be more like Enzo to deserve Damon" (which I said, "you need to BE Enzo to deserve Damon")]

Enzo and Caroline are now her favorite people, as they're the only ones who care about finding Damon and Bonnie

"Why won't they just let this happen??" - my sister about steroline rn

"Hopefully Bonnie comes back this episode" oh, my sweet hopeful sister, she won't come back for EIGHT FUCKING MORE EPISODES 😭😫😡😭

Seems like she's *really* off the delena train, and she's now fully down for Damon and Bonnie, which is a twist I didn't see coming 😳

"Can we just forget about Elena?" Oh she's gonna be THRILLED at how this season ends 😂

She really hates this cancer storyline because she says it makes no sense and you know what? She's right

Forgot to say she was really disappointed they didn't do a whole episode dedicated to Kai and Luke fighting in some mental plane while they merged, which yeah, and its gonna be even MORE disappointing when they don't do that for Josie and Lizzie either 😭

She's thinking about which tvd/to characters could have kids on Legacies and I wonder if she'll be disappointed to find out there's only three "legacy" characters 🤔 (She says if they don't have a Bonnie descendent on Legacies what are they even doing?)

"Its okay, Enzo will take care of his new momma." Oh its SO hard not to make a comment about the future "romance" with him and her..... 😆

She's chill with Elena being in a coma but she thinks the obvious solution would be to make Bonnie a vamp, she dies, then drinks the cure out of Elena

Since "forced pregnancy vampire Caroline" isn't something anyone would naturally think, my sister is SO confused who the siblings she's heard me talk about in Legacies are because she was *convinced* they had to be Jo and Ric's kids 😂

I appreciate my sister's dedication to calling Oliver and Jackson, Sam and Dean 😆

She's reached acceptance with Cami, as she's reasoned her and Klaus can have their moment cause one day she'll die, but Hayley's immortal now so he can be "true" endgame with her post canon 😌

Hilarious that my sister just hates the OG actor for Kol. Like apropos of nothing she thinks even that guy's face is annoying. She massively prefers the new guy 😆

She's still not a Klamille fan and at this point, I don't think she ever will be 😔 Ah well, I can get her on the klayley endgame train I'm sure 😌

She is instantly against Caroline and Ric being engaged. She's right in this.

Her fave is Damon -> says Damon and Klaus are the same -> Lizzie is (more toned down) similar to both of them. . .this is how we get her fave character being Lizzie 👀🕯

One’s Promised

A/N: This one is for Soulmate Au!!

You knew soulmates were real because everyone had at least one name on their arm, and it would always be in the handwriting of the soulmate. They could be platonic or romantic. When a soulmate died, their name crossed itself out on the arm. If you had more than one, a new name would appear.

You also knew they were real because you had met yours during your first day of school. Your parents were a bit worried until they found out it was platonic. You were at work when your best friend's name got crossed out. You had screamed and cried. A new name had formed in that moment but your pain didn't care. You were sent home with pay. No one expects anyone to work after their soulmate dies, even if they have a replacement. You had to have someone pick you up, your pain overshadowed everything else. 

The next few days were a blur of pain and crying. At the end of them, you knew one thing. You had to leave this town. You needed to be anywhere their memory wasn't haunting you wherever you stepped. You waited a few months, helped your best friend's parents adjust to their death and set your affairs in order. You bid your friends and family goodbye, and drove nonstop to New Orleans.

Once you arrived in town, you found a steady job at a bar named Rousseau's. About six months later, your work friend Cami finally asked you why you always seemed to wear long sleeves. "Cami, I lost my first soulmate. Their name is crossed out on my arm. There is a new one, but I can't stand to see anyone else's name. We had known each other longer than forever. Who told the universe it could ever replace my best friend?" You asked her.

"The universe is unfathomable cruel. My twin brother never had a soulmate, and mine is a massive pain in my side. I still love him despite it." She responded

You nodded. You had herd about her brother's death a while ago. It haunted Cami like your soulmate's death haunted you. "Well this is a happy finish to a shift." You moaned a bit to her.

"You could always come home with me and get drunk." She offered

You really wanted to make new friends and plant some roots in this town. You had stopped because you never wanted to meet your replacement soulmate. Cami already having one made her safe, and what could it hurt."Unfortunately, love, I need her tonight." Said a not horrible looking man

"Y/N this is my soulmate Klaus. Some-days he decides he gets to run my life. He, however, is wrong." Cami stated

"Y/N" Klaus said like he was turning your name around like he had met you a hundred times before.

"The one and only." You said a bit weirded out by the way he seemed to size up your  name.

Before you could process anything, he reached out and pulled up your sleeve. As you opened your mouth to yell at him, he pushed it back down. "Hey!"

"Don't worry, love, we are future in laws after all. You will be coming with us tonight." Klaus grumbled

"What makes you think you have the authority to command me?" You started 

Before Klaus could counter, the most attractive man you had ever seen came in. "Niklaus I know that you…" he stopped once his eye fell on you.

"Brother have you met your soulmate, Y/N?" Klaus said

"I am not interested." You replied.

You got a confused stare from all three of them. "It means, no thank you. I already had a soulmate, and losing them was the worst day I ever survived. Not interested." You answered the questioning gazes.

"How cute." Klaus said in just the right way to terrify you to the bone.

"I believe my brother meant to express how little the universe cares for our choices. After all you aren't my first either." Said the man pulling up his shirt sleeve.

You could see almost a sea of crossed out names. It filled most of his arm. You noticed some seemed ancient and several were in a different language. You were just a bit worried. "How?" You asked, confused.

"Long story made extremely short, I am a vampire.This curse our mother placed upon us, has forced myself and my siblings to outlive everyone. I have learned of the centuries, that no matter how hard you avoid your soulmate,  the universe pulls the two of you together." He said gravely.

You reached for his hand and took it in your own. "So you understand why I don't want to do this?" You asked

The slight nod he gave, told you everything you needed to know. The sadness that he carried after so many soulmates and how much he wished it would stop. How he tried to avoid you as much as you tried to avoid him. The nod also told you he felt like this was inevitable and that he was doomed to watch you die. To his extreme pain, he was utterly right.
