heyyyyyyy gorgest um cryptane headcanonz
Eyyy! Gaaaaaay!
---
-Crypto’s #1 practical use for Octane is getting the kinks out of his back from staying up late and sitting like a gremlin. He just lays on the floor and Octane will walk up and down his back and chatter while Crypto falls asleep like an old man.
-Somewhat early in the relationship, past “I have to hide who I am” but before “I don’t feel bad for drooling on you in my sleep”, they sat across each other with half a dozen shots between them and played twenty questions.
-This led to two major fights in the span of an hour, but they don’t remember what they were about.
-Octane memorized Crypto’s KKBQ order. Crypto was kinda touched. Octane will never tell him he memorized it because Crypto is too friendly with the cashier and takes a million years to order, even over the phone.
-Crypto will stop to make friends with any cat he sees on the street. Literally any of them.
-At first it drove Octane crazy but now he does it too. Lifeline thinks it’s hilarious
-One time when his hair was longer Octane thought he could just kind of dip the hair in a big tub of dye and do it way faster. He tripped. His hair, eyebrows and eyelashes all ended up blue. It took a week of Crypto calling him Sonic for him to shave his head.
-One time Crypto got mad and rolled Octane into a blanket burrito and sent a picture to Lifeline.
-Octane had let it happen on the assumption he could just break out.
-He Could Not.
-He was released on bail (three kisses and the promise of a backrub) after an agonizing twenty minutes.
-Crypto will use anonymous accounts to compliment his boyfriend during his streams.
-One time they were standing around at some kind of ball game and Octane was cold, so Crypto hugged him and zipped his jacket up around both of them.
-Octane steals Crypto’s clothes all the time, mostly as pajamas.
-Crypto tried to show him how annoying it was but he ended up getting stuck in one of Octane’s shirts and having to call him to get help out of it without ripping it.
-Octane laughed a full minute before doing anything.
-In the beginning, their arguments were usually actual arguments, about where to eat, where to go, Octane being belligerent and uncompromising, Crypto being paranoid and stubborn. How much Crypto was hiding and how much Octane bottled up until he blew. Frankly, the few that knew about it were pretty sure it wasn’t gonna end pretty.
-Then they both started to give a little, a bit here, a bit there. Little things.
-Octane pretended to have patience so hard he ended up learning how to wait just a little bit. Mostly with Crypto. Especially when said gentleman inevitably lost and had to locate his keys, phone, coat, shoes, spare glasses, cube, or flask before leaving the house.
-Crypto gave in, encrypted a bunch of shit on Octane’s phone and started letting him take pictures of them together, long as they weren’t posted anywhere, special exceptions for certain Apex events. It ended a lot of arguments about having a “ghost boyfriend”. (now he’s just a secret one)
-They still have arguments, but mostly they banter, teasing jibes and half-hearted annoyances.
-At the end of the day, neither can really see themselves loving with, living with, or putting up with anyone else.

they’re kinda right, and it pretty much used the time period as an aesthetic which sent me. i was just there for anya taylor joy, she is hot and a great actor so 🤪 i really just did it for her 😂 i’d watch more anime but my brain empty. i sometimes just watch more ghibli films instead! wish there was better wlw and lesbian rep in anime though (and in pop media, who are we kidding! most of it is white women too 😩 but omg if you wanna watch them, “the handmaiden” and “watermelon woman” are some of my FAVES)
on the subject of asian cuisine? oh mama, vietnamese, japanese, and filipino food are my top 3. viet because they have an amazing balance of freshness and flavor and like protein and greens!! japanese food for how they make the main ingredients shine so well as the star of the dish! and sushi. whores for sushi! and filipino food because it’s so hearty and homey! and their flavor profile is up my alley, sour and salty and spicy + they use coconut milk for a lotta stuff. ugh some of the best. idk if you’re into intestines LMFAO but i love ‘em and they make barbecue outta them and yeah….yeah it’s sinful fatty goodness. love discovering the family-owned places from where i am, they make thee best stuff 😍 also of course, special mention to korean bbq, i cannot live without it 🥰
Totally agree about more wlw representation in mainstream/popular media. Not to mention the few that are there are so easily sexualized and fetishized whether it be by viewers or the writers themselves, it can be so bleh. Would love for people to just display wlw relationships in an accurate light and not just for a consumerist gaze, or as a plot device.
Ghibli movies are at the top of my movie watchlist, but I’m kind of scared of watching them because I want to loveeee them and what if I don’t... I’m a chicken, I should just suck it up and do it, have myself a little marathon. Unless a brooding dark haired loser wants to walk into my life and watch them with me or whatever
When I tell you I could eat any and all Asian cuisine for the rest of my life and be perfectly content, it’s all elite. Filipino food is so homey that’s such a good way to describe it actually omg it’s warm and fulfilling from the inside out, I think I would say the same about Indian food too. I feel like I read an article about how it’s literally because of the seasonings and spices; they physically make you feel warm and for that, every dish deserves a kiss.
My fatal flaw, however, is that I do not like sushi, I’m a California roll baby 😖😖 I know, I know, I know, I’m disappointed in me, too. Does my going out for all you can eat kkbq at least once a month since restrictions from the panoramic have lifted make up for it, I’ll pay

On September 4th, Mike Chase and Amy Faust — morning show hosts for the country station KWJJ in Portland, Oregon — cued up Taylor Swift’s “Soon You’ll Get Better,” a quietly resilient acoustic ballad featuring the Dixie Chicks.
“It’s a song about her own mother struggling with cancer,” Chase explains. “We played the song and also posted it on our Facebook page. One woman [commented by saying] her grandmother had died ten minutes prior to us playing it. And right after that, some guy goes, ‘I guess it would be better if Taylor wasn’t ramming her politics down my throat.’ We thought, ‘wow: what a study in extremes.'”
The Dixie Chicks have been a third rail in country radio ever since they said that they did not support President Bush’s decision to invade Iraq in 2003. “We’re ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas,” singer Natalie Maines said onstage in London. They were staples of the format before their comments and personae non gratae immediately after. Looking back now, country radio’s decision to exile the Dixie Chicks seems to presage the current political moment. “That was kind of the beginning of the cancel culture that we have now,” Chase says.
But the group quietly snuck back into the format this month as Swift’s backing vocalists. This is all the more surprising considering that Swift’s label is not promoting the song to country radio — program directors rarely take the initiative to play music that isn’t being pushed to them — and Swift publicly left country five years ago to head to pop’s richer pastures. Still, country radio played “Soon You’ll Get Better” 36 times in Lover‘s debut week, and seven more times the week after.
The biggest booster of Swift and the Dixie Chicks’ collaboration in country radio has been Johnny Chiang, Director of Operations for Cox Media Group Houston; KKBQ, which he oversees, plays “Soon You’ll Get Better” three times a day. Chiang has a reputation for painting outside the lines KKBQ was also a supporter of Kacey Musgraves, though most of country radio ignored her.
“Why are we playing [‘Soon You’ll Get Better’]?” Chiang asks. “Simple reason: It’s a great song. If Taylor was still in country, we would have 100 stations adding it out of the box. So I don’t care that the song is not being worked to country.”
Chase feels similarly. “It makes all kind of sense [to play this],” he says. “Taylor’s great at making a song and a hook; the sentiment is sincere; she has her own history with country, and there’s the connection to the Dixie Chicks. It should be a song that country radio plays full time.”
(In addition to KWJJ and KKBQ, stations in Salt Lake City and Baltimore played “Soon You’ll Get Better” once apiece. Neither station responded to requests for comment. A rep for the Dixie Chicks also did not respond to a request for comment on the group’s country airplay.)
But country radio devotees have long memories. And this is especially true in Chiang’s market, Houston, where George W. Bush spent his teen years. “After just four plays of the song, we had several complaints from listeners,” Chiang says. “They weren’t complaining about the song — they were complaining about the Dixie Chicks.”
“You can’t even tell [they’re on the song],” Chiang adds. “The backing vocals are so benign you can barely hear them.” But when his DJs identified the singers, listeners were still angry enough to pick up the phone.
https://youtu.be/tMoW5G5LU08
youtube
Portland’s reaction to “Soon You’ll Get Better” has been more mild. KWJJ did not ban the Dixie Chicks back in 2003 — though their cross-town rival did — and the station still plays some of the group’s classic hits.
Perhaps as a result, the majority of the Facebook responses to Swift’s collaboration with the Dixie Chicks were enthusiastic. “Most people said either, ‘It’s so beautiful, it reminds me of something that happened to me,’ or, ‘I almost can’t listen to this all the way through, because it’s hitting so close to home,' Faust explains. “I don’t like the idea of just taking one [irate] guy and giving that [opinion] too much power. He was one out of 75.”
In Houston, Chiang is closely monitoring the number of angry calls prompted by “Soon You’ll Get Better.” “We’re gonna keep an eye on that,” he says. But he is aiming to play “Soon You’ll Get Better” a few times every day for roughly a month, at which point KKBQ will have enough data to accurately determine how its audience is responding to the track. “My goal is to get this damn thing charted [on the airplay chart],” Chiang says, “even with no one working it.”
ts1989fanatic the good old USA home of free speech unless you disagree with what others are saying.
I thought what The Dixie Chicks went through the first time around was bullshit and appreciated @taylorswift trying to give them a comeback chance.
And thank goodness for some in country radio with the balls to stand up and be counted I applaud you Mr. Chiang.

Forgot to post this a while back. This was during spring break when my cousin came down to visit. It was a non stop food adventure that we went back here at Belly Bombz in Artesia. It’s a mix of kkbq and Mexican street food. We ordered the elote, and I ordered the oxtail poutine fries, and I totally forgot what kind of chicken wings that we ordered, but flavors were incredible. It just makes your mouth water for more. I highly recommend coming here.

Food
maybe this is just me overreacting but i can eat food for days.
my friends , at least compared to me, have small stomachs idek how they eat one chip and then feel full.
like girl. i'll tell you two stories:
1. went to kkbq with a few friends, thought we were going to the all you can eat one. extreme disappointment when it was a per serve/normal menu place. we ordered 2 plates of meat. probs 70-100g each. there were 4 of us. ate a few pieces, the others were already full. needless to say my disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined
2. went to the all you can eat place i was referring to before with another bunch of friends. ate like a pig there, it was absolutely amazing. stayed there for about an hour. got STUFFED ASF we had our skirts unbuttoned n shit. went home. halfway through the ride home (~15mins), my stomach started begging for more food. my full stomach became an empty stomach. what the fuck.
