a/n: heyy guys ik it’s been a minute since i posted a fic and i apologize. school is kicking my ass rn but i’d thought i’d whip up something cute so i hope you guys enjoy this for now!! :’))

001. a pic you snapped of paige while she was getting ready for the epsys. you loved watching her get ready for any event she was going to. you’d sit there and admire her as she got her makeup done, and she didn’t even notice you taking pictures. they always turned out to be your fav pics of her.

002. night in w paige. she made you wear the matching socks because she thought it was so cute. you two played games on her playstation for hours while cuddling and talking about anything and everything.

003. a cute moment kk had captured at the beach. the two of you looking out at the view in front of you, all cuddled up next to each other just enjoying your time together.

004. you had countless pics like this in your camera roll. you always sat in the passenger seat while she would drive. she loved that because she could put her hands all over you while you were sitting there. you always held her hand as it rested on your thigh.

005. paige had surprised you with a picnic for your birthday. she always went out of her way to surprise you with the cutest stuff wether it be for anniversaries, bdays, etc. it was one of her favorite ways of showing her love for you.

006. one year into your relationship, the two of you got subtle matching tattoos. she made a promise that when you guys got older you could get something more meaningful. you knew she would keep that promise.

007. a pic you had sent paige as a joke but she loved it. you both knew it was true, she was such a golden retriever while you were more of a black cat. you both thought it was the perfect way to describe you two.

008. a pic you snapped of paige during practice. you loved when she would pose for the camera especially cause it meant she was paying her full attention to you. again, you had numerous pictures like this from multiple diff occasions. you loved taking pictures of your beautiful girlfriend any chance you could.

009. you somehow convinced paige to do this trend you were seeing all over tiktok. when you brought it up she surprisingly agreed quickly. you giggled the whole time you were wrapping the bow around her bicep while she would admire you. she loved when you would do dumb shit like that with her and it honestly made her love for you grow more.

nivi, we need another chaotic family drabble with kk reacting to azzi's post for ice when she never got one for her bday 😂

Unserious, unedited chaos back by popular demand 🤪:

It takes 5 minutes between Azzi hitting the post button and deciding to take a much-needed nap, before her door is being slammed open and KK comes roaring through it, face livid, Jana on the tip of her heels, and Paige following behind them both with an amused smirk.

"What. Is. This?" KK asks, shoving her phone in Azzi's face.

Azzi squints, "it's my birthday story for Ice?"

"AND WHY DOES ICE GET A BIRTHDAY STORY?" KK yells, stomping her foot to go along with it.

Before Azzi can reply, she's being tackled into a hug by a 6'3 koala, which sends her reeling about five steps.

"I KNEW I WAS YOUR FAVORITE CHILD," Ice bellows and Azzi flinches from how loud it is in her ear, suddenly nostalgic for the silence.

"I cannot BELIEVE," KK paces as Ice clings onto Azzi's back, "that you would differentiate between your children like this,"" she turns to Jana, "tell her Jana, tell her how much that hurt you."

"That really hurt my feelings," Jana recites and Azzi has to stifle a laugh, Paige doesn't even bother.

"KK-"

"IT'S KAMOREA TO YOU," KK holds up a hand and Azzi rolls her eyes.

"Okay then Kamorea-"

"I just-" KK lets out a dramatic, "I just wanna know why you know? What does SHE have that I don't mom? Is it the extra 2 inches-"

Ice scoffs, "you're barely 5-8"

"THAT'S NOT THE POINT," KK yells again and Paige snickers which gets her a pointed glare from KK, "what are YOU laughing at? She posted Lou too, when's the last time she posted you other than to get photo creds?"

Paige reels back at that, smirk disappearing as she turns to Azzi, "that's not the only reason you posted right? Right? I looked cute in those pics and you couldn't help yourself? RIGHT?"

"Right," Azzi nods, trying to prevent herself from rolling her eyes again, "that's exactly why."

"Girl boo, Don't believe her. She's a liar and a TRAITOR," KK stands defiantly in front of Paige, "besides we have to go find me a stepmother."

"Not this again," Azzi sighs, wondering why she doesn't lock her door more often. She still has all of Ice wrapped around her and it seems like the younger girl has not intention of getting off.

"Do you see, do you see how little she cares about you? ABOUT US?" KK puts a dramatic hand to her heart, "she doesn't even care."

"I don't want a new mother," Ice presses a wet kiss against Azzi's cheeks and Azzi can't help but smile despite the insanity, "I like this one."

"Then we'll do it parent-trap style, you get Azzi and I get Paige," KK says, nodding her head like she's making the most serious decision of her life.

Jana guffaws, "hello? Who do I get? Am I an orphan now?"

"You can come with us Jana," Ice volunteers excitedly, "you and Nés both."

"Absolute not. I am not losing my children and-" Paige cuts in, turning to Azzi with big blue eyes, "I don't want a divorce."

It's on the tip of Azzi's tongue to make a remark about how they're not married but she knows reason and logic are not her friends when it comes to this situation.

"KK-" she begins

"IT'S KAMOREA TO YOU," KK retorts haughtily. sitting herself down on Azzi's bed and crossing her leg.

Azzi lets out a deep breath, trying to muster as much sincerity as she can, "Kamorea I am sorry I hurt your feelings. Next year, I will post a story-"

"A grid post," KK demands.

"Right. I will make a grid post for you-"

"Because I am your favoritest child?" KK gives Azzi a look as behind her both Jana and Ice burst into protests.

"Because you are my child and I love you," Azzi concedes, "and I have an extra bag of of trufru that you can have."

A grins burst onto KK's face simultaneously with Paige's face dropping, "SHE GETS THAT BAG OF TRUFRU? SHE LITERALLY JUST GOT HOSPITALIZED FOR IT?"

"You said to fix it so will you just let me goddamn fix it?" Azzi says exasperatedly as Paige continues to sulk in the corner.

"I'm still mad at you," KK says slowly as she lifts off the bed, "but I might be less mad after I've had some time to think over trufru."

"My trufru," Paige mutters under her breath, following KK out of the door, no doubt on a mission to steal some for herself. Ice detaches herself from Azzi, practically skipping out the door with a happy grin and Jana shakes her head, sharing a commiserating smile with Azzi as she heads out as well.

This time, Azzi does lock her door, getting ready to finally take her now well-deserved nap, when her phone rings. Seeing Inés's called ID, she picks up the phone with a grin.

"Hi Nésy-"

"YOU POSTED A STORY FOR ICE???"

And that ladies and gentlemen, is why Azzi Fudd stays so far away from the grenade that is social media. Really, she'd much rather be asleep anyways.

Since Malleus is already here might as well have him, Azul, and Idia come together to give Rollo a group hug to make the birthday boy feel extra welcome!

Hold up, I need a hazmat suit before writing this 💀 cuz this whole interaction is going to be toxic for my health/j

Making eye contact with Azul was, like many things Rollo had experienced that day, a grave mistake.

Adopting a too-synthetic smile and lidding his gaze, the merman called out to him before he could hurry off. Rollo silently rued his very existence.

"Ah, there's the birthday boy!" Azul purred, over to Rollo. A flicker of unadulterated rage tightened the host's otherwise reserved expression. "Happy birthday, my dear, dear friend." Then, to a nearby peer, "Idia-san! Where are your manners? Come and greet the birthday boy."

"H-Happy bday... I guess," Idia grumbled. His pinprick eyes darted away, uncomfortable with lingering on Rollo's. "Kk, I'm done here. C-Can I go home now?"

"You've only just arrived, Shroud," a deep, elegant voice gently scolded him. It belonged to the horned shadow towering over them all. "Stay. Enjoy the evening and its offerings. It's not every day that we gather to celebrate a most momentous occasion such as this."

"... Azul-kun." Rollo's eyes slid to the ghostly hunched over figure beside the second year. His hair was bright blue, aflame. "Idia-kun."

Rollo sucked in a breath through his teeth when he arrived at the shadow. "Malleus Draconia."

"Flamme." Malleus smiled. Mysterious, some may have called it. Rollo saw the challenge in it. "How do you fare? Are you pleased with the party?"

"It was tolerable until you three showed your faces," Rollo hissed.

"My, is that any way to speak to your friends? Friends that guard your most cherished secret at no cost at all?" Azul asked coolly. He scanned the room, then let himself settle back on Rollo. "It would be a shame if there were a slip of the tongue here and now."

"Are you blackmailing me?" Rollo demanded. "On my birthday, no less?"

"Goodness, no! I'd never consider such a thing!" His mouth cocked into a smirk. "After all, we did all agree to what your punishment would be for all the trouble you caused. I won't walk back on our vow."

"How generous of you." Sarcasm oozed from every syllable.

At this point, Idia had gone from pale to paler, sweat beading on his forehead and dampening his palms. During Azul and Rollo's passive-aggressive exchange, he had been trying his darndest to sidle out of the situation--only to find that Azul's leg or arm had shifted to block his escape, or that Malleus loomed like a sleep paralysis demon dutiful guardian.

Azul sent an intentional, scathing smile his way. Idia shoved a frustrated squeak down.

"You seem tense, Flamme," Malleus was saying.

"I wonder why," Rollo retorted.

"Surely you do not still hold any ill will or animosity toward us?" The question was teasing, nearing a song.

"Debatable, Draconia."

Malleus chuckled darkly. "Worry not. I know what will make amends. Lilia has imparted wisdom of a ritual of reconciliation unto me. Perhaps you've heard of it." His eyes shone with mischief. "It is known as a 'group hug'."

Idia and Rollo exploded at the same time.

"Wh-Wh-What?! A-A group hug?! Y-You don't REALLY expect me to get all touchy-feely with any of you normies, do you?!"

"Have you lost your mind?! In what world do you think I would stand by and allow you detestable villains to put your hands on me?! Are you no longer satisfied with just acts of psychological torture...?!"

One voice of dissent arose, cutting through their complaints.

"A most excellent idea, Malleus-san!" Azul gushed. "There's nothing that can't be smoothed over with a group hug."

"Wh-Who are you, and what have you done with the REAL Azul-shi?!" Idia sputtered, jabbing an accusatory finger at the merman. "The real Azul-shi would charge an arm and a leg for that kind of fanservice!!"

A hand clamped down hard on one of Idia's wrists.

"E-Eeeep!!"

"Come now, Idia-san," Azul coaxed cheerily--though there was a new edge to his words. "It won't do to sit out on a valuable friendship-building activity."

"This is getting ridiculous!" Rollo angrily huffed. "I refuse to participate in this charade."

He turned away--and stormed right into a black curtain. Arms encircled him, ensnaring Rollo like a bear trap's metal teeth sinking into prey. Malleus's command came, clear and resonant.

"Now, Ashengrotto."

"As you wish, Malleus-san."

Azul dragging Idia, Malleus dragging Rollo, the four boys collided in what could only be described as a tangle of flailing limbs and protests. Rollo found himself smushed against Idia, with Azul and Malleus forming the strong outer ring that encased them, squeezing tight.

Idia's face, a blue screen of death. His jaw hung open, seemingly unable to close--slack and frozen. Pupils, pinpricks of panic. He was a useless sack of meat and bones, his mind completely dissociating from the hug.

Suddenly, everything was too close, too hot.

Like fire, hellfire, burning under his skin.

Rollo fought against it, refusing to be succumb to the inferno. "Unhand me, you FIENDS!!" he growled.

Malleus leaned in and grinned wickedly.

"Many birthday blessings to you," the fae prince murmured, "and many more to come in your future, Flamme."

Okay, it's completely up to you if manager y/n is secretly a super good artist or not but I am 100% convinced that regardless of this she always makes super elaborate handmade birthday gifts for all the girls.

And they make the recipient cry every time. Like, they're always so well thought through and a lot of effort (I'm talking days if not WEEKS) is put into them. And manager is a busy girl so it just means that much more!!

It's gotten to the point that the girls refer to their birthdays as "y/n's gift reveal day".

Manager y/n is going on what can only be described as side quests to make these happen.

Like, for KK's first birthday at UConn (or more importantly, her first birthday with manager y/n) she spent 2 months holed up in her art major friends metal working class to make her a new chain after she accidentally broke it in an impromptu pick up game.

She also bought vintage fabric from a small shop somewhere in Croatia (thank you Etsy) and made Nika a quilt with it because she heard her complaining about being cold at night with the a/c blasting.

The team (and secretly manager y/n) is always most excited for Paige's birthday though because she always gets SO emotional when she sees what manager y/n has made her. When she was injured there was a hand bound bible with a painted cover (she also went through it and highlighted passages that she thought would help her with her injury). There was also a drawing one year (that has since been framed) of a collection of over 20 Photo Booth pictures and polaroids Paige and the girls had taken, all sketched out onto a massive canvas.

And for a special add on: Geno got a mini video documentary manager y/n's junior year which had all of his career highlights and interviews/messages from everyone she could contact that knew/loved him. The poor guy had to sit down when he saw it.

this is the realest thing i've read all day BECAUSE YES!!!!! like we've already covered, manager is super duper thoughtful and she treats birthdays like a special holiday. she grew up with a big family and they were a bday family so it seeps into her work too!!!
