Hey Pablo, what kinda books you get?
Yo Yo, J! (in ref. to this post) I got:The World of Ultraman & Kamen Rider artbooks by Yuji Murakami who quit art to become a bhuddist monk and then when he started painting again created these beautifully meditative collections featuring the two iconic heroes. i wish the books were larger though, it’s a crime to have paintings split onto two pages.  Kurayami Dance (Dance in the Dark) is the two volume manga title written by Suda 51 (killer 7, no more heroes) that from what i understand is his original vision for the game that eventually became ‘Shadows of the Damned.’ Originally it was more or less his version of Franz Kafka’s ‘The Castle’ so as a fan of both suda51 & kafka i had to get it. i asked the artist on twitter if there was going to be an english release and they said they were looking for publishers who would like to pick it up, but at this point a translation seems unlikely. so i’m hoping a scanlator out there picks it up asap. this video gets into it but the relevant part starts at the 14:58 mark

Utata Kiyoshi Art.Dot.Works a dojinshi by the Gate Area 51 group collecting a bunch of concept and sprite art by Utata Kiyoshi from games like osman(cannon dancer) little samson, cocoron  etc etc.
youtube
Alexander Chronology an art book episode reference guide companion to the ‘Alexander’ aka ‘Reign: The Conqueror’ anime series that Peter Chung (Aeon Flux, and a million other things) did the character design for.
youtube
Tatsunoko Pro Anime Super Data File. a tatsunoko series/character reference guide if you aren’t familiar with Tatsunoko think of them like the japanese Hanna Barbera. the house that brought you yatterman, casshan, speed racer, the genie family, gatchaman and a million other beautifully colored creations.
Yoshinori Kanada Special. better to show than tell watch a video on the contents of the book and another on the legend himself.

The Making of Super Mario Bros. i was hoping this book would be more of an artbook collecting all the production art and design works like the cover implied but it seems to be more of a promotional piece for the film which i guess is to be expected. that’s all folks!

Screenshots from The Karate Tournament (aka Chatan Yarakuu Shanku) (Mitchell Corp, 1992) on the left; artworks Garden of Allah and Daybreak--which Wikipedia calls “the most popular art print of the 20th century”--by Maxfield Parrish on the right.
The Karate Tournament was directed by Kouichi Yotsui, who had also directed Strider (Capcom, 1989), with art direction by Utata Kiyoshi; the two collaborated again on Osman (Mitchell Corp, 1996).
