Got inspired a while back to draw Mace and Ajax from the Android Update Required stories by @kiwisoap. I get so excited every time there's a new installment about these two, whose dynamic can basically be described as "not enemies, not friends, but a secret, third thing (coworkers who hang out but are too emotionally constipated to admit to having even a singular feeling)".

Tagged by @minutia-r to post a line from my most recent wip. (Of course my most recent projects are all for exchanges, so here's some of the story I set aside when exchange madness set in. It's, uh, a bit more than a line, whoops).

The front legs of Ignition’s chair hit the floor with a loud bang. “Seriously? You think they’re gonna kick you out?”

“Uh, yeah? I lit the training room on fire!”

He snorted and leaned back again. “If lighting things on fire was enough to get kicked out of cape training, I wouldn’t still be here. Trust me, they’re gonna take one look at your power set and decide you’re a perfect solution to one of their most annoying problems. They’ll make sure you stay.”

Trust him? I had no reason to, no reason to trust anyone here. We were supposed to be heroes, but so far all I’d seen was a bunch of kids who acted like…well, kids. “I don’t believe you.” I wished I did.

Ignition shrugged. “Believe what you want."

1. What font do you write in? Do you actually care or is that just the default setting? -- I write in whatever font is the default for the program I'm in, yeah, don't really care. I tried switching to Comic Sans to see if it Magically Unlocked My Creativity and it worked for about five minutes and then stopped. So I switched back.

2. If you had to give up your keyboard and write your stories exclusively by hand, could you do it? If you already write everything by hand, a) are you a wizard and b) pen or pencil? --So I actually started out writing with pen and paper when I was 17, my very first story! I switched to computer bc my mom pointed out that would make editing easier, bc I edit constantly as I write. I..... could go back to pen and paper if I had to. But I would prefer not.

4. What’s a word that makes you go absolutely feral? --Orbs or bluenette. Or you mean feral in a good way? ...........Pegging??

25. What is a weird, hyper-specific detail you know about one of your characters that is completely irrelevant to the story? --My superpowered sadboy doofus OC isn't sure if he likes coffee. He drinks various kinds of tea, and only rarely gets a mocha or latte from a coffee shop, which he enjoys, but he's pretty sure it doesn't count as real coffee.

26. How do you get into your character’s head? How do you get out? Do you ever regret going in there in the first place? --I think about the situation they're in and where they're coming from, what their priorities and hangups are, how they generally react to Life Happening. To get out again, I look out my window or pet a cat, remind myself that I'm making those bad things happen to my character and I'm fine, actually, I'm the one in control. But I absolutely do regret getting in there sometimes. 8((

hello!! i love your little clayfellows so much. they actually kinda inspired me to take an intro to ceramics class this semester (im a bio major so this would not have occurred naturally lmao). i have been making my own little dudes just as practice to figure out how to manipulate the clay and wow! clay will make so many shapes but its so difficult to make it be the shape you want. its such a weird medium and i love it! anyway, just wanted to say thank you for making ur guys!! have a good one

I hope it’s okay I’m answering this publicly, I want it in my clay ask tag so I can come back and look at it because I find it tip-to-toe delightful. Also hell yeah!! The shapes clay will let itself be change as it dries out which is just SO weird. Four dimensional medium. Enjoy your dirt!!!

I dont know if youve heard of the book before, but "Exploring American Folk Music" by Kip Lornell is a really good in-depth read about the history and evolution of many kinds of american folk music! I'd highly recommend it! (Plus its full of song recommendations lmao)

I have not! But I’m excited to look into it—mostly because a) it looks cool as hell, based on a few sentences of description on Amazon, and b) you’re the one who linked my Devil Went Down To Georgia fic on a shitpost, which means you probably have excellent taste.

My pumpkin soup recipe is pretty good for lizards, now that I think about it. Low sodium chicken broth, pumpkin, carrot, squash, sweet potato, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper. If I was making it JUST for her, I’d leave the salt out.

Robot disabilities. Robot who charges slowly and loses power incredibly fast and is always tired. Robot with malfunctioning lenses and can’t process visual information properly. Robot that can’t process anything too large and at a fast rate or else they’ll shut down. Robot with limbs screwed on too loose/just can’t attach correctly, so if they’re not careful they fall out.
