She found herself letting out a breath of relief when he mentioned something he wanted. She was able to buy a bit more time for Adam, good. . . 'Do not worry about it. I would love to hear more about yourself, and perhaps stories about Adam as well.' Something to keep his mind occupied, moreso than anything else.

'Consider that payment for the meal.'

[Message to: Adam]: It's okay. I've bought more time. [Message to: Adam]: We'll be over at the nearby Subway, if you know where that is.

She was, if only a tad, bit concerned. After all, he seemed to usually be a light and bubbly person, in a way. Something about his aura... But it felt different right now. Looking up at him, her lips parted for a moment, before she thought about it a little.

Eventually, she ended up writing in her notebook. 'Do you want to go and do something, then? Bowling, maybe?'

"I see. . ." That would make it a bit easier to work with. Those without a sound mind are easier to manipulate. Perhaps she could use a bit of hypnosis. It has been a while since she did. . .

No, no, not wise.

"Would you say he's usually in the same general area as his home, or is it just a place he goes back to on occasion?" She found herself asking, looking to find a way to pinpoint him locationally first and foremost. She was going to guess likely not, but it was worth a shot in that regard.

She grabbed the notepad and the details written on it that he provided, pulling the page out to use a different one while having the information before her. Using another language, she started to write it all down in a specific way. One would almost claim it was akin to a spiritual summoning, if someone knew about that kind of thing. But she kept referring back to the book, writing down additional information from it until she felt that it was as close as she was going to get.

Her gaze was flickering between the tablet and Adam, but she still managed to get off a quick nod in affirmation that she was, indeed, alright. Still, a tad startled, but nothing that was sure to cause true harm to her. Having finally gotten onto the right screen of the laptop, she was about to start pressing buttons to make it speak in her stead. But then the other started to reprimand her.

She would admit, she likely deserved it, but it didn't make the action itself hurt any less, especially since it came from a stranger. Tears formed in the corners of her eyes as she flinched, but she continued with what she had been about to do.

Instead of a human voice, the voice from the tablet emitted her words for her. "I'm sorry. I didn't notice. I was listening to my textbook. I understand what I did was wrong. I'm sorry." Looking away, she kept her lips pursed. She didn't mean to do what she did. . . Had she noticed, she would've gone down the next road over. . .

The fact that he considered her such felt like a constant blessing, to her. After all, she knew full well that many would not consider her a pleasure to be around, and her lack of 'proper' communication is found to be annoying to most. So being able to be considered a friend, much less a best friend, to someone was almost thought to be an impossibility to her. After all, she had always been rather introverted, and kept to herself most of the time, so. . .

'I am glad to be so.' She typed the response up, looking over at the other with a smile on her face. It was actually pretty nice to have someone to hand out with sometimes, and it kept her out of the house. The perfect opportunity to come up with new parts of her stories, or be able to practice her sensing to get more used to it while being near an overpowering presence. A great thing, truly.

'I consider you to be my best friend, as well.'

'It is. . . Okay.' She knew he had been really stressed as of late, especially with her having brought up the fact his family was cursed and trying to take care of that. It made her feel guilty, as if this may be what was meant by innocence being bliss.

'Would you prefer to go home? I would understand if so.' He should probably take time to relax instead of trying to force himself to spend time with her like this. 'You have me concerned. I would prefer if you took care of yourself over spending time with me.'

She had found herself suddenly in the presence of the person she considered to be akin to a brother, at this point. He hangs out with her when Louis is busy or she's escaping him for a time. She had just been waiting for the mentioned brother to finish up something he was doing so she could walk home with him.

But after that initial moment of surprise, she found herself nodding, leaning up against the other in relief. She always felt so stressed when she was on her own in public like this, so it felt nice to have someone she trusted with her for the time being...
