You will always be my ocean. In a realm where friendship held its sway,

In the realm of dreams and laughter untold,

We soared through skies painted with stories bold.

But shadows crept, in friendships' purest place,

And I saw a change in the reflection of their face.

Through the good and bad, like sails on the sea,

We navigated rough tides, arm in arm, you see.

But when storms consumed, and winds tore us apart,

My pleas for change echoed, a whisper from the heart.

I watched as they slipped, further from our kin,

Like a fading melody, lost in doubtful din.

My words, like gentle rain, sought to awaken,

Yet my best friend embraced the path forsaken.

In the depths of their being, I saw no remorse,

No willingness to change, or alter their course.

Their heart, once warm, now veiled in cold steel,

Together, we were broken, a wound that wouldn't heal.

I yearned for the days when we'd mend each other's pain,

A bond of solace, where hearts would intertwine again.

But destiny had etched its cruel design,

And my best friend became a stranger, no longer mine.

With heavy heart, I resign to the bitter truth,

That some bonds crumble even in eternal youth.

But memories shall linger, like whispered melodies,

Of a friendship lost, buried beneath life's seas.

In the aftermath of loss, I find solace in tears,

For even the strongest bond can fracture through the years.

May their journey be guided by fate's firm hand,

And may I find forgiveness in the waves of this sad land.

For in the realm of heartache, where friendships decay,

I'll hold onto the love that once lit the way.

And though we are apart, forever split at the seam,

I'll cherish the memories, of a broken, heartfelt dream.

Sheevah showed up in the winter 2022 with 3 kittens. One didn't make it. Kallie and bug did. Then Simon the siameese looking Oldman showed up. Then sheevah got pregnant again with 5 kitties. Sweetheart, miss piggy, snickers, lightning and blue. I've heard cats come to protect you from dark forces. I believe this. These cats are a blessing!
