GOM and their gf broke up leaving the boys emotionally shattered. They meet reader-chan (you) who slowly mends their broken hearts piece by piece. Eventually they start to fall for each other then BAM, ex wants to work things out. What happens next?
Kuroko: “_____-san, will you be mine ——“ Kuroko starts, but is interrupted by a shrill cry. “KoKo!! Oh my gosh, I’ve been looking for you for so long! I want to get back together!” ___ looked at the other girl as she grabbed onto his arm and pressed her boobs against him. “This is the girl who broke his heart? Well, my chance is gone now.” ____ thinks as she looks away from the situation, about to cry. Suddenly, ____ feels an arm wrap around her waist before she looks up to Kuroko, seeing him pull her closer. “(Ex’s Name), I’m actually glad you’re here. I want you to meet my new girlfriend, _____. She’s the one that showed me what real love is.”
Midorima: “Shinshin? I can’t believe I finally found you here! Fate must want us to be together!” A high-pitched voice cuts through the air as ___ and Midorima pull away from their kiss. “Uhm, who is this?” The mystery girl says as she realises ____’s presence and position. “This is ____. My girlfriend.” Midorima says as he pushes up his glasses. ____ is surprised at the fact he does not pull away from their close position. “But..we’re supposed to be together? Remember! Your psychic even said so!” The girl pouted, obviously annoyed at the fact someone had taken Midorima’s attention and pain away. “Sorry, (Ex’s Name), but our signs are not compatible at all. She actually told me that you were bad, but I didn’t want to listen. However, ____ and I are perfect for each other, and that’s approved by my psychic. Do not get in my way with happiness this time, nanodayo.”
Kise: “___cchi, I want you to be my girl—Huh? (Ex’s Name)? What are you doing here?” Kise starts before looking past ___’s shoulder, behind her. ___ turns just in time to catch the picture-perfect girl give Kise a flirty wink and an alluring smile. “Kise-kun! I’ve missed you! I’m a little bit insulted that you’ve dropped ‘cchi’ on my name, but I’ll forgive you this time. I want to get back together!” (Ex’s Name) murmurs while walking past you and up to Kise, leaning a bit too far in for ____’s liking. “And just when he was going to ask me out, she comes waltzing back into his life. Absolutely stunning and the number one female model of the year, how the hell could I compete? Just walk on out quietly before you lose any more dignity, ____.” ____ thinks before trying to turn and walk out before Kise can catch her. Kise immediately sees that ___’s trying to leave so he speaks up. “Sorry, (Ex’s Name), but I don’t have time to talk. My girlfriend’s leaving, so that’s my queue!” He starts walking over to ____ as ____ and (Ex’s Name) turns towards him in shock. “Girlfriend?!” (Ex’s Name) beats ____ into questioning him as his ex flip her silky hair as if she was insulted. Kise gives off a cheeky smirk as his aura changes into a little less ‘happy-go-lucky’. “Yes, you heard me. Girlfriend. Bye, (Ex’s Name).” Kise grabs ____’s hand and looks down to her blushing face, pecking her on the lips, before quickly turning back to his ex one last time. “Oh! And (Ex’s Name)? My model agency says we won’t be working together anymore. They found a new girl who’s beautiful inside and out.” Kise remarks, looking back towards his girlfriend and giving her a wink.
Aomine: “No you do it like this, baka.” Aomine’s voice vibrates through ____’s ear as his arms have a secure hold on her waist and he guides her body to shoot correctly at the hoop. She giggles in response and glances into his eyes, her eyes twinkling, before she turns her attention back towards the goal. Just as she’s about to shoot, a voice cries out making ____ miss the goal. Aomine’s eyebrow twitches in annoyance at whoever interrupted their cute little moment (although he would never admit that). “Dai-chan!” The stranger’s voice squeals making Aomine flinch again. “Who is this? Why help her when you can help me! I want you back, Dai-chan!” His ex comes running up and pushing ____ out of the way, making her fall in the process, before running into Aomine’s arms. ___ cries out as Daiki’s eyes widen, concerned. Quickly he forcefully pushes his ex out of the way before running over to ___ to make sure she’s okay. Once he realises nothing is hurt, he fiercely glares back up to his ex. “I’m not taking you back, (Ex’s Name), and if you ever touch my girlfriend again, we’re going to have a major problem.”
Murasakibara: “____-chin, doesn’t it taste good?” Murasakibara says as he shoves a little cake down ___ throat. His hand then goes to rest on her arm as he caresses it. “Mmpft!” ___ chokes before reprimanding him. “Sushi-chan, I can’t eat as much as you can at once! Be careful before I cho—“ Suddenly, Atsushi’s arm is ripped from ___’s as someone tugs him up out of his seat. “Atsu-chin, what the hell are you doing with this girl?!” A cry yells out from the stranger girl, as she stares up to the giant with a glare. Murasakibara’s mellow expression drastically changes as he directs an intimidating glare to his smaller ex. He tightly grabs onto his ex’s hand that was on his wrist and throws it off with a force that’s just enough to leave a red mark so she knows he’s seriously pissed. “(Ex’s Name), we once had a thing, but it’s long gone. I love ____-chin now, and if you get in the way of that, I won’t hesitate to crush you.” And the red mark on her arm says just that.
Akashi: Akashi knew his ex was going to try something the moment she passed ____ and him in the park. A swift walk-by before she turns around and runs back up to him. “Sei? I knew it was you! This must mean something. I’ve been wanting to get bac—“ She interrupts the special moment between ___ and Akashi did not appreciate that. “Excuse me, (Ex’s Name), but it seems that I was in worse condition than usual back then.” “What?” She’s taken aback by the riddles Akashi was giving her; meanwhile, ____ was just looking on, hoping and praying that Akashi would not take her back. He did just admit his feelings to her. “I must have been at an all-time low when we were dating because I see things so clearly now. You were into me because of my status, that much I knew, I just always thought that you had enough class to fulfil your part of being my significant other. But it seems now that you are nothing but home-wrecking trash. Excuse us.” ____ blinks as she’s tugged along with Akashi. Omg the sass, though.

Hello!! I just have to say I love your work so much and the fact that you're such a good writer gives me life. Can I request Aomine angst where him and his s/o break up and later meeting again during the second touou vs seirin match?
Anonnie-non, you seriously are the sweetest! Your words gave me such a big smile on my face! Also, I have another scenario that was very similar to this one (you can find it HERE), so I tried really hard not to make it too alike! This is the first angst I’ve done that’s not song-based, so I don’t know how I feel about it yet..hmm, anyway!
The actual breakup was easy. Life afterwards was much harder. It took two days before reality hit and made ____ feel like her world was shattering apart. It was torturous for those two months. She cursed the gods and whatever else that was out there, wondering where she went wrong. If she had done something wrong then surely she’s gotten what she’s deserved. She pondered why it had to be them. He was her first friend, her first kiss, her first boyfriend. He was her first love. Was he her first mistake in love as well? She thought not, she thought they would last forever; after all, he promised her. He was the one that mentioned it first, that he would love her forever. Now, she really didn’t know if it was just all a mistake.
Time passed on and ____ healed in her own way. She didn’t know whether it was a perfect heal or if it was just her hardening her defence mechanism. Either way, she promised herself that she would never make the mistake of believing in forever anymore. All of the memories of the two went down the drain. The days they spent cuddled up, sleeping on the rooftop or the times they spent holding hands while shopping downtown. The morning they woke up and stayed in bed while wasting the day away as she curled up into his side, feeling as if no one could ever harm her. “Little did I know he was the one that would harm me.” ____ thought as she stared at her ceiling while laying in the lone bed. She tried so hard to delete them from her brain as if it was something she could just throw in the trash bin. She kept believing that if she acted like she forgot them, then maybe they would eventually disappear.
As things got better for ____, things got worse for Aomine. Aomine felt like he was freeing himself from guilt and responsibility after he broke up with her. At that time in his life, he thought he just wanted to be free like all the other guys. Free to look at any girl walking by, free to have as much adult-rated magazines as he wanted, free to do any of that without the guilt of having a girlfriend. He thought that ____ was a weighted ball chained to his leg, and he knew ____ didn’t deserve that. They’ve been friends since childhood. He only wanted what’s best for her and Aomine felt like he couldn’t give that. As more time wasted away without her by his side, though, he realised that maybe he was wrong. Maybe he didn’t want that freedom. Maybe he was ready to give her the best, maybe he could give her the best.
Months went by with no sign of ____ walking back into his life, and he began to feel desperate. He was stuck between a rock and a hard place. He wanted her and he wanted her oh-so bad, but was he what’s good for her? Does he allow himself the happiness of getting her back or does he allow her to make the choice of what’s best for her? He didn’t know the right choice but he knew he wanted to choose the selfish choice. He finally made up his mind that he would let her decide; however, at that point, there was no trace of her in his life. She had transferred schools, changed her number, and blocked him on every social media site. “Did I miss my chance? Where do I even start in trying to find her? Will I ever even see her again?” Aomine would catch himself thinking every night as he lies alone in his cold bed. He fell asleep hoping that some day soon he would find her again.
That some day came faster than expected. A week’s passed, and Aomine finds himself staring at his feet, wondering how did he lose. Multiple people try to call out his name to get him to snap out of his thoughts, but none prevail until he hears a certain squeal. In all honesty, he probably would have missed it if it wasn’t for knowing that a certain girl is the owner of the melodic noise. In the blink of an eye, he snaps his sight up to the girl, wanting confirmation that it is who he thinks and hopes it is.
“_____?” Her name rolls off his tongue in a whisper like it’s a foreign language. Nothing but her name has repeated in his head all this time, but it’s been six months before actually saying her name aloud and he feels that if he says it too harshly, she could vanish from thin air.
The conscious side of Aomine’s brain screams at him to turn around and walk away as he watches Kuroko embrace ____ and spin her around; however, he finds that his feet aren’t listening to his brain and, as he’s walking towards the other side of the court, he’s not sure if he wants to listen to it either.
It’s as if time slows down and they’re the only two in the room, but Aomine knows better and he knows all eyes are on him, curiously wondering why he’s crossing the court to go talk to ____, who is obviously for the other team. Sakurai’s eyes fill with concern because he knows of Aomine’s heartbreak and Imayoshi grits his teeth with a painful smile because he knows how this is going to end up. Aomine’s team starts to clear out because they all know how it’s going to go; after all, they got to know ____ better than anyone else from all the times she used to spend with them. One might not call them the perfect ‘team’, but they knew they were going to have to pick up all the pieces once Aomine fell apart after this.
“____.” Aomine calls out, this time firm and loud enough to get Seirin’s attention.
____ stops her fit of happy laughter as she turns around and her face falls flat. Kuroko and Kagami are towering over her by her side, their face serious and daring Aomine to mess with her; however, ____ knows that’s the least of her worries. Aomine’s gaze wanders to the rest of Seirin when she turns to all of them and asks for privacy. He watches them leave hesitantly, but not before catching the warning glares they send. As quick as it left, his burning gaze is back on her, just waiting for her to speak. By now, even the crowd has left and it’s just the two of them.
“Aomine.” ____ starts firm and cold, but inside she’s faltering and wondering if sending away Kuroko and Kagami was a good idea after all. As for Aomine, he feels like he’s dying inside because the last time she said his name, she was calling him ‘Dai-chan’.
“I need you.” It’s a simple sentence, but they can both tell by Aomine’s gruffer-than-usual voice that he means what he says and he’s breaking inside.
“You ended things with me. You don’t get to say that anymore.” ____ tries to stay strong but her voice gives her away by cracking near the end.
“I thought I was doing what was best for you! I felt guilty for looking at other girls or wanting to hang out with the guys and I felt like you didn’t deserve that! I just felt like.. I wasn’t good enough. I wanted to give you a chance to find someone better..” Aomine’s speech falters, trying to come up with the right words to describe it, but it’s no use to ____ because that’s not what she wants to hear.
“You had no right to choose that for me! That was my choice!” At this point, ____’s trying everything she can to hold herself together, but no matter what she tries, she still finds her walls crumbling down as she screams her frustrations to him. “I wanted you! I didn’t care if there was someone better! I knew your quirks, I’ve grown up with you since we were five! You think I didn’t know where you hid your magazines? Aomine, I loved that side to you. Because it wasn’t perfect, because it made you just another teenage boy and not some high and mighty ‘Generation of Miracle’s Ace’.”
“What?” Aomine breathes out and, if he wasn’t so shocked, he swears he would’ve wiped the tears that had started falling from ____’s eyes.
“Yeah.. I loved everything about you, Aomine. We had a beautiful chance,” ____ takes a deep breath and looks up to the one she once called hers with a sombre expression, feeling numb to all the tears that are seamlessly descending down her face. With a breathy whisper, she continues her reply. “And you ruined it.”
“Wait, but.. I can fix this— We can fix this! It’s not broken, not yet.” Aomine desperately pleads, filling with a hope that they could fix it if he just mended it back together fast enough.
“It is broken, Aomine. We can’t fix this. You’re six months too late and, besides, you’re trying to fix this with a girl that’s already taken.” And just like that, ____’s voice is filled with a bitterness that could only be described as stone cold.
“Let me guess, Tetsu.” Aomine’s mind flashes back to when he saw ____ secure in Kuroko’s arms and he feels like he’s going to be sick; meanwhile, ____ can’t help but notice how his face pales and his voice fills with an anxious she’s never heard his tone take before.
All ___ does is nod and blink at Aomine because she feels like she can’t even speak with the lump that’s sitting in her throat. She tries to tell her heart to stop hurting and clenching like she’s in the wrong, but she can’t help but note that her heart feels like it’s twenty times heavier. Seeing her response, Aomine closes his eyes and swallows his own lump in his throat. He feels as if the world is spinning and at any given time, the floor under his feet will just give way. He finally realises what he wants when it’s too late; after months of wondering what choice to choose, he comes to find that he wants her all to himself even if that means she might not have the best. He just wants her, whether she’d be happier with Kuroko or not. And in this moment, he realises that his world is crashing down on him and he might not be able to fix it this time, but he has to try and attempt it one last time. As he opens his eyes and looks at her again, he begins to speak and gives her an option; however, he feels his heart snap in two because he can see the look in her eyes, and he knows which one she’s going to make.
“Tell me. Tell me that you’ve moved on..” His voice starts out in a needy whisper, but as time progresses, his voice gets needier and starts cracking. “..with Tetsuya.. That you’re happy with my friend… Tell me that you don’t love me anymore…and you’ll never see me again.”

Restarting.
So after a few days contemplating what I should do to restart this blog (since I’ve been gone for around a year), I think I’ve decided.
I’m usually really “trigger-happy” with reblogging and that’s messed me up a lot, but going through all of this blog, I’ve realised it’s way too much to try and delete all the posts. Plus, there are some works that I like to stay on my blog since the work is good and I think it’s funny or “reblog worthy”.
So I’ve decided that I’m just going to reblog all of my original work that I’ve done on here (imagines, headcannons, reactions, and scenarios) and then start from there at working on new original pieces and/or requests (since a lot have accumulated over the time period I was hiatus).
Just a reminder, my Ask Box is always, forever, open. So feel free to request at any time. I’ve missed you guys, and I’m back.
Restart starts now.

i need aomine and hanamiya angst pleaaaaaaaaaseeeeeeee
SADISTS. YOU ALL ARE SADISTS. Nah bro, I kid I kid. I love writing angsts for you guys. THE SADDER THE BETTER…maybe.
As you all probably know (if you don’t you’ll know now), I almost always write Angsts based on songs. So each Angst will have a designated song to go with it. If you want to listen to the song in the background (which I highly recommend) it makes the atmosphere that much better. Soooo:
Aomine Daiki- “Someone Like You” by Adele
Hanamiya Makoto- “Good Enough” by Little Mix
Also, anonnie-non, I’ve written an Angst in the past that has Hanamiya in it as well. I don’t know if you’ve read it but here’s the link in case!: Imayoshi & Hanamiya Angst Enjoy!
(also quick apology for going M.I.A. for so long!! I’ve been dealing with a lot of personal shit right now but it’s getting better and I’m back! So anyway, on to the angsts!!)
Aomine: ”I heard that you settled down, that you found a girl, and you’re married now.”
____ slowly inhaled and exhaled before closing her eyes and focusing on the song she was about to sing her heart out.
He wasn’t married…but ___ had no doubt he planned on marrying that girl after high school.
If only she had worked harder, thought faster..Maybe. Maybe she would still be with him. She was with him all throughout his Teiko years, being a faithful girlfriend that stood by his side. He loved her, he truly did at one point in his life. And she loved him to no end..___ admits she still probably has feelings deep down for him, but she can’t wait forever.
It was only when he started changing his personality did ___ realise he slowly started breaking away from her.
“Why do we have to go on dates when I know I’ve already won you?”, “Eh? It’s not like you need me at your show tonight. Why would anyone try and steal you away from me?”, “It’s not worth it anymore” numerous of snippets that Aomine said in the past floated around in ___’s mind, reminding her of their past.
“I heard that your dreams came true. I guess she gave you things I didn’t give to you.”
“It’s just not interesting anymore. There’s nothing to fight over for you. You’re just..average. I’m the best player in basketball ever. The only one that can beat me, is me. But what about you? The best can only be with the best. You’re grades are the only thing that’s superior. Other than that, you have no life. It only revolves around me. It’s not worth anymore.” was the only thing he said before he got up and walked out of the restaurant.
That was the last day ___ ever saw him..until now.
“Old friend, why are you so shy? Ain’t like you to hold back or hide from the light.”
Everyone was so angry at him for leaving ___, they swore they loved her more than they loved Aomine. She was the light that brightened their day. Momoi loved her the most though. She loved ___ so much she stopped talking to Aomine for a whole two months; however, she realised that she couldn’t do anything. Aomine had gone one way and ___ had gone the other.
Aomine still skipped classes and stopped coming to practices. He also found a different girl that was up to his standards. She was a star volleyball player. The best of the best; however, she was sickeningly stupid. ___ was so much more smarter and Aomine couldn’t help but think of how much smarter ___ was compared to his new girl, but he felt as if he had to date the blonde-haired bimbo. She matched his skills but in volleyball.
____ soon dropped out of Teiko. She couldn’t stand seeing Aomine. How could she? She was deeply in love with him and she and been best friends with him ever since she could remember. She was his first best friend and he was hers..and suddenly, everything broke.
So she went away and joined a school that focused strictly on music. After all, that was her passion. She even blamed Teiko for her break-up with Aomine in the first few weeks. She thought that if they had a better musical program, she could show Aomine how great she was. She would definitely be the number one, star singer. Instead, Teiko didn’t have a great choral program and she was stuck singing at gigs which made Aomine think it was just a small hobby of hers.
But now she’s here.
“I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited, but I couldn’t stay away, I couldn’t fight it.”
It’s not like she asked to open at the Winter Cup. She didn’t ask to perform as the “Guest Performer Opening Act” for Seirin vs. Touou. She didn’t ask for any of it..but it seemed as if fate had a different plan.
Fate had brought her to being a famous singer. She became so famous the people at Winter Cup wanted her to be the opening act before starting the first round..which just happened to be Seirin versus Touou. It was almost as fate knew ____ wrote her number one hit on a certain Touou boy. After all, that hit was the one that made her famous. She had to thank the navy-haired boy in a way since he indirectly helped her become famous. Now, she didn’t just have open up for her ex and her current boyfriend, but she also had to sing to them. They had the luck of facing her on the basketball court floor while she was standing in the middle of it. And of course the two aces were on the front row. Fate just seemed to be laughing in ___’s face.
“I’d hope you’d see my face and that you’d be reminded that, for me, it isn’t over.”
A deep breath in. A deep breath out. ____ desperately tried to calm her breath before she started singing the bridge which was coming up next. Her heart began to race as she realised Aomine began to really really stare at her; it was almost as if he was analysing her soul. She could feel his eyes on her easily; she knew he was trying to put it together.
“She looks so familiar, so similar to her…but she couldn’t be her…____’s long gone doing God knows what with her life…This girl couldn’t be ____…but she looks so similar to her, except she’s even more beautiful now..and her voice sounds the same as her’s…Why am I even thinking about her? I have a different girlfriend now…but they aren’t ____…” Aomine’s thoughts fight with one another inside his head as he keeps staring at ____ in the center of the court.
“Regrets and mistakes: they’re memories made.”
“Yes, there are regrets. Regrets of breaking up with ___, regrets of leaving her. Regrets of treating her like shit, and regrets of saying goodbye. But no…there was no mistake I chose her. I chose her for a reason, I chose her because I’ve always loved her. I still love her. I still want her. So why did I get rid of her?” Aomine thinks, getting more emotional as the climax of the song was about to be reached. Just as he reached his last realisation of how he still, truly, loves her, he puts the pieces altogether.
That was her. Standing there, right in front of him, she was there.
____ ____, the girl he’s always loved, was standing right in front of him, singing a song that she wrote about him.
And it broke his heart.
Because it wasn’t a love song; it wasn’t a happy song. The song that his love was currently singing was not anything to be happy about. She dedicated her number one hit to him; yet, he wished she would completely forget his entire existence before dedicating it to him. Because this song was not a second-chance song. This was a tragedy; it was a sad song. This song was anything but joy..because this song was a closure song. There was no happy ending, no fairytale; not in this song. And he knew that. Which is why his heart was breaking right here on the court.
Just as his heart broke, both Aomine and ____ made eye contact. His eyes bored into hers as both of them made a deeper connection than what met the eye. They knew, at that point in time, they had just broken both their walls and their hearts.
“Who would’ve known how bittersweet this would taste.”
Just as ___ had finished singing the last word of the bridge, her voice went hoarse as a silent tear escaped her right eye. There was complete silence throughout the whole arena as the piano halted to a stop, emphasising the emotion and words as the feelings began to resonated throughout the whole building. As the deafening silence began to drag out, all eyes that were not already on her were now set on her; their attention was fully given to her without a spoken demand. As the silence grew longer, whispers grew louder around the circled arena.
“I-Is she crying?”
“I swear I see a tear streak down her cheek!”
“If I could sing that well and had some heartbreaking tragedy like that, I’d be crying too!”
“It almost makes me want to cry!”
“I can feel the sad emotion radiating off her..”
“She shouldn’t be crying on live television.”
Whispers were breaking out among the crowd as they all began to look closely and realise the famous ___ ___ was silently crying; however, no one looked at the navy-haired basketball ace that was sitting in front of the singer. No one realised the basketball boy was crying as well. If others realised he was crying, they probably brushed it off as him getting emotional over the song. No one took into consideration that Aomine Daiki was the boy that she wrote this song about.
And no one, but Aomine, realised she had found a certain red-haired boy like him to replace him. They were both lights, they were both aces, and they were both in love with ____ ____; however, Kagami Taiga’s light had now outshone Aomine Daiki’s.
“Nevermind, I’ll find Someone Like You.”
———
Hanamiya: “You stole the love that I saved for myself”
He came like a thief in the night. It was quick, it was swift, and it was painless. At least in the beginning.
He stole her heart, mind, soul, and anything else he wanted to take. It took two weeks tops to fall for him. He was actually, sincerely surprised at first. Usually it took two to three days to get his next girl, but with ____ it was different. He actually saw something real in her. At first.
She was just a target, another girl to have his way with. That was until he realised just how hard it was to get her. He had to try every trick in the book to get her to like him; however, she didn’t know that. She would kick herself about falling for him so easily. She didn’t even know how she could like a guy so quickly and so deeply in just two weeks; yet, she still did.
“And I watched you give it to somebody else.”
He did find her intriguing. He did truly care for her. He did actually have an interest in her, and he did actually love her. But love was not a good enough reason to stop his bad boy ways. He lived his whole life only using and abusing girls and then throwing them away once their ‘duty’ had been fulfilled. He didn’t know how to react, how to change, for love. It was only natural for him to go to the next girl, but his heart was left with ___. Little did he know, he could only say “I love you” and then cheat so many times before a girl like ___ would get fed up.
“But these scars, no longer I hide.”
She really didn’t know how she fell for a full-blown sadist in the first place. Her father was a preacher and her mother was a famous feminist group leader. She grew up knowing her manners, understanding what was right and wrong, believing in only the good, and had her whole life planned out ahead of her. She was going to be successful at whatever she did and the best at it as well. Her goodnight stories consisted of what she should look for in a guy.
Her mother made sure ___ knew what an abusive relationship would be like, what a bad boy looks like, and what the wrong boy tasted like (figuratively speaking). Her father made sure she found a man that believed God was the only way, treated ladies like queens, put others before himself. Her parents made sure to embed that into their daughter’s mind; and they succeeded. ____ grew up believing all men were nice, faithful, praised the Lord, and treated ladies like princesses. Well, she believed that until she met Hanamiya Makoto.
She tried, she really did. But something so new, something so unknown, was intriguing. It was interesting. She found herself getting pulled in more and more every day. He was so enticing, so mysterious. He was the poisonous apple that looked tasty, the venomous snake that looked enchanting, and the deadly thorns with a beautiful rose. ___ knew she was bad, it wasn’t like she was deceived right at the start. One look at him was all it took to know he was bad; the chills that ran down her spine only emphasised that. Her world was only filled with bright colours; however, once she saw him, he pierced straight into her untainted canvas with a deadly black that quickly spread and corrupted the colours around her.
If someone had asked her a few months ago if the multiple scars on her legs, abdomen, and back were from her boyfriend, she would quickly say she had to go before running to the nearest private place and begin to silently cry; however, times have changed. If they asked her the same question today, she would calmly explain her soon-to-be ex-boyfriend caused them from his anger and possessive rants. She was no longer afraid of showing the hurt that he’s caused because she made sure she would never be hurt by him again.
“I found the light you shut inside. Couldn’t love me if you tried.”
____ realised Hanamiya did love her in some sick way of his, but it was not the correct love and it was not the love she needed. She needed real love, right love. She couldn’t take anymore of his twisted love, dark love. And she was tired of wishing on nothing, pretending he would learn how to love her right. She couldn’t stay his submissive, his slave. She couldn’t take much more of being his masochistic girlfriend; one more push, one more fall, and she would break.
“Am I still not Good Enough?”
So many nights had she stayed up from when he would scream at her, telling her she wasn’t as good as the other girl he had slept with the previous night. Day after day, ___ put up with the constant insults about how she wasn’t good enough for him. Her grades weren’t good enough, her talents weren’t good enough, her abilities weren’t good enough, her looks weren’t good enough. She was not good enough for Hanamiya Makoto— but Hanamiya still “loved” her.
“Am I still not worth that much?”
She wasn’t worth his time, she wasn’t worth a dime. Hanamiya had a mindset of not feeling as if he had to worry if a guy would steal her because she wasn’t worth that much. No one else would love her, how could someone love someone worth nothing? “But don’t worry, my dear ____. You may not be good enough for anybody else, and you may not be worth that much, but I’ll still love you.”
“I’m sorry for the way my life turned out.”
It took three whole years for ___ to realise she didn’t have to be sorry for anything. She didn’t have to live her life in shame. She didn’t have to cover up the scars that were embedded in her skin because of her abusive boyfriend. She didn’t have to be sorry for being the way she is. The way her life turned out was because she chose the decisions that made it that way. She shouldn’t be sorry for making her own decisions. Not anymore. And Hanamiya couldn’t tell her otherwise.
“Sorry for the smile I’m wearing now.”
No, she wouldn’t say she was the one that was sorry, not anymore. Hanamiya had led ___ to believe that everything was her fault for three whole years. Three years had she been living in shame, but she was not sorry for how she ended up. She was not sorry for being happy. And she was not sorry for wearing the smile on her face as she was saying goodbye.
“Hanamiya! I am done! For three damn years, I have constantly been taking your shit! Three years you’ve been saying I’m not worth that much!! I’ve been working my ass of to please you! I cut down my work hours to come home early just to cook for you! You called me disgusting for hanging out with my friends that were boys so I cut them off! I dyed my hair and changed my clothes because I wasn’t pretty enough! You know what? It’s enough! I’ve done all I can think of! I’m done with you! I’m done with us!” Raging tears fell down ___’s cheeks as she screamed her true feelings to the one boy she once called ‘love’.
Silence was the only thing that could be heard as Hanamiya stood there, stunned, watching the one girl he loved finally give up on him. He could’ve saved it, he really could’ve; but, he didn’t. All he had to do was admit that he’s done wrong, tell her how much he really loved her, and promised he’d try and be better. But to him, he couldn’t give in. He couldn’t show his weakness. He had to be stubborn. The last thing he wanted was to lose his “dignity” and “pride”. So instead, he lost his girl.
“Aheh, and so you think you can just walk out on me and find someone else that’s better? My precious ____, don’t you see? You’re not good enough for any other boy!”
There was only a shrug of the shoulders and one last sentence that was said before ____ walked out of the door and out of Hanamiya’s life forever.
“Guess I’m still not Good Enough.”
