I’m finally attempting to embroider a book cover! I’m only doing the title, but I’m binding my last multi-chaptered fic—A Beautiful Mess.
I’m binding it into 3 books instead of 1 because of the size, but I think it’ll be really cute when I’m done!

The Sunnydale Herald Newsletter, Saturday, January 20th
DR. KRIEGEL: Of course we're still going to have to watch your mother carefully, and, uh, have her back in here for some follow-up testing, (Buffy nods) but, uh, overall I'd consider the procedure a complete success. (Smiles all round. Everyone hugs each other. Giles and Xander start to hug, then settle for a handshake instead.) BUFFY: (hugging Riley) Oh my goodness, doctor, thank you, thank you so much. DR. KRIEGEL: Please, it's my pleasure. (Buffy hugs him and he yells in pain as she forgets her slayer-strength. She gasps and pulls back.) BUFFY: Sorry. Sorry!

My Favorite Album #204 - Margaret Glaspy on Bjork ‘Vespertine’ (2001)
On the latest episode of My Favorite Album, bullshit-destroying Californian singer-songwriter and Telecaster-slinger Margaret Glaspy battles migraines to talk about the balance of (*cough*) emotion and math involved in the intricate and emotional Bjork classic ‘Vespertine’.
Also, we talk about how she took apart Bjork’s song ‘Who Is It’ and made it her own, the different responsibilities of being a support act and a headliner, making deliberate craft seem spontaneous, being compared to Liz Phair and whether she’s got enough credit for her role as producer on her debut album ‘Emotions and Math’.
Listen in the player above or download the episode by clicking here.
Subscribe to the podcast in iTunes here or in other podcasting apps by copying/pasting our RSS feed - http://myfavoritealbum.libsyn.com/rss My Favorite Album is a podcast unpacking the great works of pop music. Each episode features a different songwriter or musician discussing their favorite album of all time - their history with it, the making of the album, individual songs and the album’s influence on their own music. Jeremy Dylan is a filmmaker, journalist and photographer from Sydney, Australia who has worked in the music industry since 2007. He directed the the feature music documentary Jim Lauderdale: The King of Broken Hearts (out now!) and the feature film Benjamin Sniddlegrass and the Cauldron of Penguins, in addition to many commercials and music videos.

Alameda’s Adoptable Pets: Obtain dog, cat’s photo with Santa
Better not better and bark not bite! Santa Paws is coming into town to pose for photos with your own pets.
This year by noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 1 he will be at Alameda Golfworks, 1731 Clement Ave. You might bring as many pets as you would like along with your holiday props to the 10-minute session. Create your appointment at https://my.stickyfolios.com/2tmp1djmawtd. Photographer Tonya Perme will donate all proceeds from the 35 sittings into Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS). Thank you, Tonya and Golfworks!
Antiques a major hit: FAAS would love to thank exude Vali Ebert for another great Jewelry & More boutique fundraiser. This year she netted over $6,500 for its animal shelter! She couldn’t have done it without the help of additional FAAS volunteers and every one the shoppers who came out and purchased jewellery, scarves, bags, animal-painted note cards, live succulents and 2018 FAAS calendars.
If you missed that event, Vali will maintain two mini follow-ups, the first a jewelry sale 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Mastick Senior Center Craft Fair at St. Charles Street and Santa Clara Avenue, and the second a tiny pop-up bazaar from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 8 at Nofu Skincare, Clement Avenue and Broadway.
Stock upon succulents: If someone in your list loves dwelling plants, you will want to stock up at the Alameda Support Foundation’s annual Charity Plant Sale Structure for FAAS on Dec. 2. There will be lots of succulents in cute pots for sale from 11 a.m. to 4 pm at 1250 St. Charles St. Thank you, ASF!
Pet of the week: Hawk is a streamlined, sturdily constructed little dog which looks like he is part Patterdale terrier. His entire short coat is one amazing shade of chocolate brown, along with his little ears flop ahead like a pup’s. Like most terriers, he loves being busy and gets along with almost everyone that he meets. Because he is considered a senior at age 8, his adoption fee is half off at $50.
Dog Alley: We have 18 additional dogs waiting for homes and 24 more that’ll be available shortly. Among those long-timers is Bella, a gorgeous brindle bulldog terrier. For some unknown reason, Bella reacts badly to other dogs, so she should not join a family that already has one. She’s gradually learning how to dismiss the other dogs she sees walks with distraction training.
A recent nurture family raved about her, “Bella is the most adorable woman! When you first meet her, she still awakens love and excitement and will go straight to her back for a good tummy rub. On her first day living, we trusted her only for eight hours while we were at work — she took excellent care of the property. No mishaps, nothing appeared, only a sweet woman waiting by the window. She loves kids especially. Bella may seem powerful (and she is), but after she’s walked with you a couple of times, she stops pulling and only enjoys being with you. She understands ‘sit’`right down,’`paw, ” and is operating on ‘remain’ and “come. ”’
If you love big dogs and have the patience to continue their training, then Bella may be the ideal dog for you. Her fee was given, so her adoption is completely free.
Cat Lair: in the event you adopted a cat during our huge promotion in November, congratulations on a excellent deal. If you couldn’t make it into the shield, then great news: We still have 25 kitties out there. Newcomers contain Bobcat, a gorgeous pure white; China, also a calico; along with Yuki, a silver-and-cream Siamese. These are 4-year-old females.
Our longest resident is Bandit, a 14-year-old tuxedo that’s been at FAAS since February. Bandit’s dream adopter is a person who will nourish and respect her but not anticipate a lap cat, at least not at first. She is slow to warm up, but she’s the makings of a love lube. Another incentive: her charge was given so her adoption is completely free. Bandit has been missing a leg. She gets fine, but we recommend keeping her indoors for safety.
Rabbits: We still have nine adorable young rabbits awaiting homes. All are under a year old and would make wonderful pets. Our two mice and two lovebirds have been adopted.
Carla Thornton is the marketing, communications and development coordinator for Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter. View adoptable critters at alamedaanimalshelter.org and see the shelter or send your tax-deductible donation to 1590 Fortmann Way, Alameda, CA 94501.

So I don’t remember mentioning it because I pretty much fell off the wagon when it comes to certain things but my recent playthrough of Oblivion had me really explore a lot of features in MOO and I just have to say I really enjoy it and it’ll probably never leave my load order.
Like, I mentioned the crafting...years ago? Yeah, the crafting’s really great. You can do basic cooking and craft weapons and armor up to Ebony so long as you have an anvil and materials. You DO need a bunch of crafting equipment depending on what you make. Something like armor or swords just need an anvil (and maybe a forge to refine ore) and a blacksmith’s hammer. Pole weapons will need wooden poles, which come from boards through either workbenches or tinker’s tools idk. Boards can be found or made from logs chopped from trees with a saw pit. Silver weapons need silver rods made from tinkers tools.
You can also make clothes with cloth you randomly find if you have a sewing kit. You can make cloth with a spinning wheel by shearing sheep. If you cut cloth, you get bandages (to heal HP, which is great cause potions are expensive if you don’t craft them).
Also there’s factions from the other provinces. My guess is that they’re taking advantage of the chaos caused by the Oblivion crisis and trying to expand their province’s territory. Oddly enough there isn’t an Alinor faction. Weird. Anyways, I turned off invasions so I saw them more often and I ended up joining the Legion (Pro Cyrodiil faction) since I’m constantly killing them anyways. I never knew I needed feral, half-naked Bosmer attacking me on the road to Skingrad until it happened.
Haven’t tried getting a pet yet, but there are weiner dogs and a lab in Bruma, and I saw a kitty in Chorrol. They can be trained to fight so maybe it’s worth getting one, at least to try the feature out.
Only downside is the crashed I occasionally got from combat when either me or the enemy took damage. It hasn’t happened lately but it’s there. Also for some reason I can’t find the “off” switch for making looting corpses in or near cities illegal. It makes sense for civilians but i keep getting bounties for looting freaking Daedra or bandits whenever they die too close to settlements. It’s annoying. At least being in the Legion makes guards forgive my crimes because of the high disposition rating I have with all of them now.
tl;dr Maskar’s Oblivion Overhaul is great, but very script-heavy

My lettering could be neater (probably), but not bad for my first serious attempt!
One cover down, two to go!
I’m finally attempting to embroider a book cover! I’m only doing the title, but I’m binding my last multi-chaptered fic—A Beautiful Mess.
I’m binding it into 3 books instead of 1 because of the size, but I think it’ll be really cute when I’m done!
