i dont think tails seems like a dress person ngl. she'd prolly only wear them on off days when she's not doing mechanic stuff since they'd just get dirty and/or pose a snag hazard around heavy machinery

This’ll be kinda long cuz I want to cover as many characters as possible and I want to include both mental and physical disorders. Spoilers but I made everyone neurodivergent.

Shadamy Week 2024 #4 Power Swap

Okay just hear me out-

In the first page Shadow is having hunger pains. Why you ask? Well, this follows through a headcanon of mine.

Now, Shadow was already created when Gerald talked to Black Doom about a shady deal with Chaos Power, so I believe his Chaos Powers cannot be removed cause they're bound to his soul. Every Chaos User is bound to Chaos Energy, and can never be separated.

But the Black Arms DNA is a different case. That's the part that gives Shadow his near immortality and his ability to not need food, water, sleep, or really any care. (Though he still should shower XD) He also can't get sick and heals unnaturally fast.

But, it wasn't there when he was created, but added in afterward. If Shadow didn't have that, he would just have some more resistance to diseases and less of a need for food and sleep than most Mobians.

And that part could be removed if done by magic or by advanced technology.

Also, Barry the Quokka makes a first-time appearance! (First time drawing him yippee!)

When we were first introduced to Surge and Kit, I figured that Starline had made them from scratch, and was lying about them having lives beforehand.

But he had no reason to lie. So there’s the worse option, that he not only erased who they used to be, but utterly destroyed any trace of them.

And if they had families, did he kill them?

I wouldn't put it past Starline, being the perfectionist he is, to not only make absolutely sure there isn't a trail that leads back to him but to also to kill some people's parents just so he could have the perfect subjects. But the main obstacle to them having families theory is the can of worms it opens if it were to be true.

Where the hell are everyone else's parents?

It would be a weird plot point because it expects the audience to be shocked about the absence of parents when just about the entire IDW cast don't have any parents active in their lives with the exception of Cream.

And I guess Jet?!?

It gets weirder if you consider that Tangle and Jewel were childhood friends. Who was taking care of them? Were they orphans or had their parents not died yet?

To make things worse, the opportunity to organically introduce the cast's parents has long since passed.

Why? The Metal Virus is why.

Nearly the entire planet got subsumed by the virus. By the end the only organics left seemed to be on Angel Island. If there were parents wouldn't have all of them done everything in their power to make sure they were safe? It can't even be said the writers didn't think of this because of the Cream and Vanilla subplot.

In short, if there was an opportunity to introduce people's parents, it was then.

Why the writers haven't addressed this is anyone's guess. Maybe they don't think it's important or maybe something was proposed but was shot down by the higher ups who want to keep as much distance between them and the Archie Comics (where much of the cast have parents alive and active in the story) because of goddamn Ken Penders.

This makes sense with the OG cast, I can completely understand not wanting to traverse that legal minefield. The thing is that the same problem with Surge and Kit's parentage extends to the IDW original cast. It would also be kinda weird looking if the IDW cast got parents but the OG cast didn't.

This has been a really long way of saying It's a fun idea but I doubt we're gonna learn anything about their, or any of the casts for that matter, parents.

But that's what fanart and fanfiction is for. And believe me, I'm working on it on the fanfiction front.

forget to ask this in my ask but headcannons of chaotix if you have any would you mind sharing them

ooooh okay! this is interesting uhh ive got a nice handful let me try and organize them

charmy, despite not being that bright in some important aspects lol, knows quite literally anything and everything about flowers and all their names and types and growing processes. he can observe two identical flowers with one having one less petal than the other and he'll assign them two totally different names and he'll be correct. it jarred both espio and vector at first but in a good way, and when silver wants to tend to his garden he always turns to charmy.

vector works as a dj as a side gig every saturday (since thats when the agency's like closed for then) and he's extremely good at it. the club on saturday nights gets sO much more full since thats when vector's on the gig.

whenever the chaotix are in a public setting where they need to speak privately together but speaking quietly wont work and they cant go anywhere else, they'll start speaking in japanese. when vector was still 16 he had to learn some basic japanese words and phrases to be able to communicate with espio and his understanding of the language got better overtime, until both him and espio were able to teach charmy some simple phrases too (he's working on writing in hiragana)

vector has lethally injured someone by biting them before. yes it was his only choice. yes it was because he was protecting his boys. you gotta use those sharp chompers at some point.

speaking of which, espio has accidentally killed someone before while in a case. this was before he was fully knowledgeable on non-killing blows with his weaponry.

the chaotix cant really afford food much and sometimes have to go through days with the fridge empty and nothing to eat. this is a bit troublesome for vector and espio, but they've already developed enough and mostly get through it without much health problems. its charmy who gets the most affected, since he's still developing his body and needs enough nutrients to have good health, (which sadly the chaotix cant always afford). this causes charmy to get really sick sometimes. the guilt of this is eating away at vector the most, but that doesnt mean its weighing down on espio too.

oh god that last one was really angsty uh

charmy, cream, ray and tails all have matching friendship bracelets that have the sonic heroes flight symbol on it :)

Random Sonic Headcanon #12: as a result of having electrical powers and wildly overusing them, Surge now has tics/twitches that will happen randomly, often worsening when she’s stressed/upset. Her face and hands get it the worse.

I've had this ever-looming headcanon for months now that the reason Kit seems so grumpy/unhappy at the Restoration is because he's homesick. He wishes he was still at Starline's base despite its horrific state because that's the only supposed home he's had for the entire life he can remember.

I thought of diabetic Surge as a passing thought but now she lives rent free in my mind. Imagine Kit helps her remember to check her blood glucose level throughout the day. Imagine Surge uses it as an excuse to get Amy to bake sweets for her to have when her blood sugar is low. Imagine-
