The phenomenal 1880 Baywood Mansion in Philadelphia, PA is for sale and it's spectacular. 8bds, 5ba, 9,286 sq ft, $2.998m.
Even the foyer is amazing. This is the 1st thing you see as you enter.
Gorgeous stairs in the entrance hall. The newel post has a beautiful lamp, not only on the main level, but on the upper floor, too. Where the floors have been replaced, blends seamlessly in with the original style.
Super elegant sitting room. Love the peach color.
Next to the fit-for-a-queen sitting room, there's a stunning pool room, fit-for-a-king.
Large banquet style dining room with original fireplace. If you're going to redo a Victorian, the only way to go is with Bradbury & Bradbury wallpaper. It's pricey, but nothing compares to it. Plus, look at the flooring.
And, this is how to remodel a Victorian kitchen. It's perfection.
Beautiful pantry.
Now, this is a home office. The wainscoting and coffered ceiling!
That green ceramic brick fireplace!
What a glorious guest powder room. I guess that's the original sink that they left in the wall. It probably didn't have a hot water faucet.
On the 2nd fl. landing, you can see that there's another fabulous lamp on the newel post.
And, look at this- the bells to summon the staff.
The primary bedroom is huge, and has an ensuite. The thing is, you'd really need to furnish this home with period furniture.
Wow, look at the built-in. What a classy bathroom.
There's also a large family room up here.
This smaller bedroom has the prettiest ensuite.
Gorgeous bedroom, and this is how to redo a bathroom- that fabulous reproduction Victorian shower and toilet. The sink looks original. This home is amazing.
Huge back porch would make the most wonderful conservatory.
Lovely historic grounds right in the city.
1.84 acre lot.

marish hysteria |cowboy!eddie munson x reader|
prompt: eddie's been busy training for competition season, leaving you pent up and lonely.
so-called “marish” behavior—aggressiveness, impatience and general grumpiness—is more common during estrus because of increased hormone levels.
contains: minors dni 18+. dom/sub themes. exhibitionism (kinda??), spanking, with implement (strap), oral fem receiving, pinvsex, creampie, bratting (ish).
The bed creaked, the familiar soft grunt filling the room long before the morning light ever did. Eddie's arms stretching, hand rubbing softly over your hip tucked soundly under the quilt, feet padding across the groaning hardwood towards the bathroom. Light spilled under the door, the heavy stream of the faucet, toothbrush scratching across teeth; scratch, spit, swish, spit.
Jeans pulled off the rack, shimmying up his legs, buckle clinking as Eddie fastened it. Hair pulled back, short sleeve t-shirt on, today's selection a red tee, with a sports logo on it- something he saw at a yard sale that was in good enough condition to be a work shirt. His boots and hat by the door, the rising daw sun just barely starting to rise over the lush horizons. Eddie's lips pressed to your cheek, lingering a little longer than usual, nose rubbing against the skin before he pulled back, a final rub over your hip and he was out the door, leaving you to your peaceful slumber.
Or so he thought.
Your eyes fluttered open after you heard the screen door snap with a screech, latching and leaving the house still, silent. You sat up in the bed, reaching towards the curtains to yank them open, your curly headed love headed out into the stables. He looked so pretty in the morning light; that fucker.
You huffed, throwing the curtain back, lying on your back, watching the blades of the ceiling fan spin around and around. You knew Eddie would be out there all day, barely stepping in for lunch before he was back out there, training the last of the show horses. It was all he'd done for the past week... maybe longer, you weren't sure. You were starting to lose count, days blurring together in a blinded rage.
All you knew, was that it had been too long since you'd been with Eddie. You'd blame it on your ovulation, that sensitive time of your cycle that left you insatiable anyways, but with Eddie preoccupied in other ways it was miserable. Usually, Eddie would slip back into the house at eleven, after the stables had been clean and horses fed. Sometimes, he'd bend you over the kitchen table, hips snapping into you with such a deep force that you were left drooling over the faded wood. Other times, you'd join him on the porch, dropping to your knees when he walked up the stairs, sucking him off right there- he just looked too good, all flushed from the work of the day.
The first day he missed lunch, nothing more than a tired sigh when you went out to him a few hours later. "I'm sorry, sweetheart. Lost track of time." A soft reply that came with a brief kiss to your cheek. He practically passed out when he climbed into bed with you that night, exhausted and snoring.
By day four, you were antsy. A dry spell was normal, you supposed. Eddie was busy and was working, it wasn't like there wasn't a reason. He was exhausted, working himself overtime in the stables to make sure the show horses could execute every command flawlessly. Selfishly enough, you couldn't help but feel rejected, neglected... and you missed him. You'd tried to do the job yourself, finger buried between your legs, circling your clit the way Eddie did, but it wasn't as fulfilling as when he did it.
Now, gone was that guilt and understanding, irritation standing in it's place. You'd been good, you really had, until last night. Eddie showered after he came in, heavy steps and drooping shoulders all the way to the shower, and even lower when he came out. You watched him carefully from the bed, how he tossed his towel from off his hips, cock hanging in front of him- teasing you. Your mouth watered at the sight.
"I'll be glad when these fuckers come get the horses and I get my money." Eddie grumbled, fumbling through his drawer for his boxers.
"Mhmm," You hummed, eyes trained on his ass, the outline of his soft cock in the green plaid material.
"'m gonna take you out when I do." Eddie's eyes met yours, soft and sweet, grinning just lightly enough to make your heart flutter with hope; with excitement.
"Take ya out somewhere real nice." He rasped, leaning onto the bed, lips pressing into yours in a sweet kiss that had your own head spinning.
Your hand reached to cradle his jaw, a small sigh when you pressed him deeper into your kiss, melting into him easily. The desperate throbbing between your legs easing with the smell of his soap, every move of his full lips against yours, pulling him closer and closer.
"Honey," Eddie sighed lightly, hands on your wrists, holding them softly. "'m beat. I don't think I have it in me, baby."
Your heart dropped, blinking at him blankly, that familiar rush snatched out of your chest, filling the empty space with disappointment. "B-But," You stammered, watching him with wide eyes when he slipped under the sheets next to you. "I'll ride you, Ed. You don't have to do anything-"
"- I really just want to sleep." Eddie said softly, sweet enough. No bitterness or harbored resentment in his tone.
You stammered, floundering with your words for a moment, gaping at him when he reached over, flicking off his lamp. A hand on your hip, sweetly rubbing the flesh there, a coaxing move to get you to lie down. Your cheeks burned with rejection, huffing furiously, angrily turning off your own lamp. Eddie pulled you closer to him, his chest on your back, hand thrown over your hip.
One last glimmer of hope, a Hail Mary you hoped might work. You shimmied yourself further into his grasp, ass wiggling against the front of his boxers, brushing against his cock. You repeated it once, twice, hips shimmying for a third time before Eddie's sigh came heavy out of his nose.
"Baby, I told you 'm tired. I'm not in the mood. Quit it." He grumbled, voice gravelly with sleep.
You bristled, rolling out of his gasp entirely so you were pressed against the edge of the bed. Normally, Eddie would huff, slap on the light and demand to know why you were being such a brat. Your tummy flipped at the idea that he might be rough with you, be a little mean and punish you for your attitude. Fuck, you'd take a switching at this point if that meant he'd fuck you.
He didn't.
Instead, just sighed softly, before settling back into his pillows, snoring within a matter of minutes.
Fury filled you, and you had to clench your fists, stop yourself from shoving him off the bed in your rage. You knew it was silly, silly to be this bratty and demanding. Eddie had been working hard. Yet, you couldn't rationalize it enough to your raging hormones, set ablaze with lack of dick.
You barely slept, tossing and turning, avoiding Eddie's warm grasp that drew you in like a magnet. It just made you more and more furious, reminding you of what you hadn't got.
Arms crossed over your chest, you replayed the night before- the week before, with a pouty scowl. Unfair, fuck, it was so unfair. How did Eddie not feel the same way?
If you knew Eddie, and you did, you knew he wasn't not feeling the same way. You knew he had to be just as pent up, his exhaustion trumping whatever hormones he had. You twisted your lips in thought, finger tapping in a rapid pace against your arm.
Flinging the covers off you, you looked out to see Eddie in the fields, letting each of the horses out to gallop around in the morning sun. Your eyes narrowed, stomping to the bathroom, slapping on the faucet to fill the tub.
Eddie pulled the reigns gently, a small grunt leaving his lips as the horse trotted skillfully around the barrel. "Good girl," Eddie muttered, hand sliding down the silky mane. He was feeling proud, a pep back in his step that had long been gone since the start of the week before. The owners were coming to get their horses, ready to trot for show and competitions, and that meant he'd have a large check in his pocket.
Eddie looked down, checking his watch. A quarter til one, the owner and the rider would be here soon to make sure he had efficiently trained their thoroughbred. "Let's get you brushed out before your owners come and-" Eddie's head stuttered, catching a glimpse of something- someone approaching the stables.
You, with that devious, sultry smile, in your little rubber rain boots- and just your little rain boots.
"What the fuck..." Eddie muttered, demounting himself, gripping the reigns while he paced towards you. You grinned at him, waving sweetly, a shy little smile that he knew better than to fall for.
"Hi, handsome," You purred, stepping onto the gate, leaning over so your breasts spilled over the bar. "How's it going out here?"
"What the hell are you doin'?" Eddie huffed, tying the horse to the post, hands on his hips when he strode over to you.
It wasn't quite the reaction you expected, your face falling slightly. "What?" You feigned innocence. "I just came out to see you."
Eddie rolled his eyes lightly, eyes scanning over your body. Fuck, you knew what you were doing to him, all shaved and oiled up- positively delicious looking. "I'm working, honey." Eddie swallowed the growing lump in his throat, his cock stirring at the sight. "I got people coming soon."
"Aw," You jutted your bottom lip out, nearly mocking. "I thought you liked when I walked around like this."
"I do." Eddie nodded, letting his hand fall over your hip sweetly, willing himself not to grab your ass. He sighed heavy out his nose, frowning at you. "But not when I got people coming. Not when I'm working."
Your face fell, the sultry mask falling off your face. There was a second of hurt, a small fall in your face that had Eddie's heart wrenching with guilt- only for a moment. Before you were overcome with rage. Lips twisting and setting in pure displeasure, eyes narrowing at him.
"Are you fucking serious?" You snapped, pulling away from him with a shove.
Eddie's brows shot up, shocked out your outburst. "Baby-"
"Don't." You sneered. "You've been working all week and... You know what? Fuck it." You threw your hands up, turning on your rubber soled heel.
Eddie called your name, a rather strangled, frustrated sigh, his hand reaching for your wrist that you slapped away. "No, no, fuck you, Eddie. You've ignored me all fucking week and I try to do something nice and exciting for you, and you still ignore me." Your cheeks burned with embarrassment maybe fury, waterline pricking with tears.
"Sweet girl, I told you. I'm exhausted. I've been out here all day-"
"-I know, Eddie." You snapped. "Didn't realize that meant you couldn't spend a second of your time with me. At the very least fuck me."
Eddie paused for a moment, lips pursing. "That's what this is about?" He huffed. "I've been tired."
"So have I," You shrilled. "Tired of you ignoring me."
"This is a very big job for me, you know that. It's a lot of money-"
"-Great, Eddie. You've said that." You snapped. "I didn't realize that meant you'd be ignoring me all week. Clearly you can't handle the pressure of this job." Finger jabbed in his chest, you emphasized your point. Mean? Yes. You knew it was, and the way Eddie's face fell secured that. Still, you didn't care. You were a woman possessed, blinded by rage and desire and rejection.
Eddie didn't get a chance to respond, the familiar crunch of the gravel startling him. The tiny figure of a car starting down the path. "Shit, shit," Eddie huffed, yanking you by your arm towards the stables.
You blushed furiously, suddenly very aware of how exposed you were. You'd wished you had at least wore panties now, but that was too late now. Eddie yanked you through the barn towards the far corner where his tools were, yanking a utility jacket that had been retired until fall off the hook.
"Put this on, and stay back here. Do you understand me?" Eddie's tone held no room for argument, stern and authoritative. Your head bobbed, fingers curling around the jacket to keep yourself concealed, wedging into corner behind the stall.
"Don't you dare make a sound, and don't you dare move." He pointed at you, jaw tight and firm, scolding you like a bad puppy. Your cheeks flushed with embarrassment, thighs clenching at the tone. You hated how thrilling this was, the adrenaline of being naked in the barn, of being potentially caught. Eddie's stern tone, fuck, it made your knees shake.
Eddie stomped out the barn, the soft mummer of voices mingling outside of the barn before they disappeared towards the field. A part of you wanted to look, watch Eddie ride and show off the horse, the veins in his hands, bulge in his forearm. You were dizzy at the thought. Instead, you stayed hidden, pressed up against the wood of the stable, hidden away from the eyes of others, heart trilling in your chest like a hummingbirds wings when Eddie's voice finally came into earshot again.
Muttered words about "pleasure to work with" and "another one soon", you leaned closer to hopefully hear more. Eddie's gruff tone, friendly but still rough, the creak of the horse trailer, heavy hooves clomping against the metal ramp, the tear of the check, before finally the gravel crunched under the truck and trailer.
You waited, too scared to peer around to check. Eddie's boots were hard, even against the hay, eyes hard and cutting under his hat. He looked at you for a moment, eyes scanning your frame, the valley of your breasts down to your navel, your freshly shaved pussy. His cock throbbed at the sight.
"You better listen to me. Do exactly what I say with no lip, you understand?" Eddie glared at you, pointed and mean. You nodded dumbly.
Eddie's hand pushed the jacket off your shoulder, the feeling of his rough fingertips on your shoulder enough to make you shudder. "I want you waiting for me inside." He nodded towards the house, hand raising to stop you. "Uh, not so fast, darlin'." His eyes were dark, gleaming with that wickedness that had your tummy flipping.
"Grab your strap." Eddie nodded towards the wall, hidden behind ropes and reigns, inconspicuous mahogany leather on the wall, a tool reserved just for you. Entirely yours.
You didn't hesitate, snatching the strap off the wall, scurrying back to the house bare except for your boots. Eddie followed slowly, a menacing pace he knew was thrilling to you. He'd find you in the bedroom, standing by the edge of the mattress, practically bouncing on your toes. Hands by your side but eyes wide, excited, every ounce of attitude from before gone with the promise that you'd finally get what you want- the attention you craved.
Eddie couldn't blame you, he supposed. He'd be mad too if it was him being ignored, and guilt flooded his system in an icy shock at the thought. Until he saw you, biting back your tiny grin at the edge of the bed.
Eddie snorted lightly, fighting back his own smile. He crossed his arms over his chest, a desperate attempt to stay stern. "I expected better from you." He shook his head at you. "Thought you would know better than to throw a hissy fit like that. All because you didn't get your way."
Your lip jutted. "It's not a hissy fit, Ed." You whined, foot stamping lightly into the ground. His brow raised at you, a warning. You huffed. "I just... I missed you, Eddie. I thought you'd like me surprising you like this. You always do."
Eddie hummed, pulling off his own shirt, your eyes gaping at his sweat slicked chest, toned softly from years of manual labor. You knew you had to be dripping by this point, and he wasn't making it any easier on you.
"I do like it when you surprise me, baby." Eddie cooed lightly, hands moving to his belt. You watched his fingers flex with the buckle. "I don't like it when you try to distract me while I'm working so you can get your way."
You crossed your arms over your bare chest. "Ed, I'm sorry." You sighed heavily. "But you were ignoring me and... and I missed you."
Eddie hummed, chest puffing to tower over you. "You missed me?" He tilted his head in question, stepping so he was toe to toe with you. You looked down at his tented boxers, lip rolling between your teeth.
"Or," Eddie's hand grabbed your chin, pulling your gaze back to him. "Did this pretty little thing miss me?" He hummed, free hand cupping your heat.
You gasped, knees locking at the sensation. The heel of his hand rolling over your mound, middle finger teasing your slick folds. You whined, hips grinding down into his touch. Your mind was blazing, body too, with every swipe of Eddie's fingers teasing you. Oh, it was delicious. You had missed this.
"You just not gonna answer me anymore? Not gonna listen, hm?" Eddie tsked, tilting his head down menacingly towards you. "That's how this is gonna be?"
"No," You whine, pressing down towards his fingers. He was purposefully missing your clit, your hole, the places you needed him most. "Both."
"Both, what, honey?" Eddie's twang fell through his words, making your chest bolt with feverish heat.
"We both missed you." The pout you gave him had his knees weak, fingers curling just barely into your entrance. Your eyes widened, mouth matching at the idea that he might give you what you wanted.
Instead, Eddie pulled his fingers out. You nearly fell into him, knees knocking together like the newborn foals that wobbled around the pastures. Eddie's free hand caught you by your waist, steadying you with a firm grasp.
"Easy, baby," He muttered, squeezing the fat of your hips gently. "We're just gettin' started here, sweetheart. Don't give up on me so easily now."
Stubble covered cheeks creasing, dimples deepening with the tug of his lips, curling in a dark grin that had you aching between your legs. Eddie told you to climb on the bed, hands and knees, and you knew you were too excited. You could hear him snort lightly, knowing he was shaking his head when you scrambled to your tabletop position on the edge of the bed excitedly.
"You know what you're in for?" Eddie scoffed, rolling the strap, heavy and thick, in his hand. "You ain't gotta outta that one, baby."
"I know." You chirped, looking over your shoulder at him. "I deserve it, I know." You purred.
Eddie nearly choked, swallowing down the spit that pooled in his mouth. The sight of your swollen cunt, slick already, eyes batting over your shoulder at him- it made his head spin.
"Christ Almighty," Eddie muttered. "I didn't know you were this bad, honey." His hand smoothed over the soft skin of your thigh, squeezing the flesh lightly. "Makin' me feel bad."
"Don't." You shook your head. "Just-Just-" You nodded at the strap in his hand, eyes shining with excitement. "I need you. Now."
Eddie's brow raised, shocked at your boldness, the commanding tone that took him back. It wasn't usually how things played out when you were in this position. Bratty, whiny- sure, but never directing... never this excited.
But who was Eddie to deny you? He'd be a fool to.
"You're really pent up, aren't ya, sweet thing?" Eddie grinned, the leather of the strap rubbing over your ass teasingly.
You sucked in a slow breath, eyes fluttering closed. "I told you I was." You muttered. Eddie squeezed your hip lightly twice, a warning that he was starting.
There was a pause, an absence of the strap, a soft grunt before the familiar swishing cutting through the air before it landed across your ass. The sting of surprise dwindling to a burning sear of pain sizzling across your skin, straight to your core.
Your usual whiney cry didn't fill the room. Instead, a delicious sigh of pleasure, like when you were sinking in the bath after a long day- longing and content.
Eddie's brows raised, hesitating before pulling his arm back again, sending the strap falling against your raised ass. You grunted, the hit harder this time, leaning forward at the impact. Your back arched, hips wiggling back into place, teasing, nearly.
"You know you're not 'sposed to be enjoying this." Smack!
"'m not." Your voice raised, lifting to that airy octave that teetered on a whine, leaned more towards a sigh of pleasure. "It hurts, Ed."
Eddie snorted, rolling his eyes. As if that was convincing. Not with the way your back arched, pussy drooling at him. "Does it?" Eddie brought the strap down harder this time, enough to pull a squeal out of you.
"Thought bringin' the strap out on ya woulda had you more obedient." Smack! You whined, swallowing down a hint of a moan you hoped Eddie didn't hear.
"Nearly let everyone out there see you naked." Eddie shook his head, the strap falling yet again. You jumped, wishing he would have let you bend over the bed instead so you could rub out some relief on your aching pussy. You knew that's why he had you in this position, so you couldn't.
"People I do business with," Smack!
"Seein' you out there, paradin' around with nothin' on." Smack!
"E-Eddie..." You were sure you weren't going to last, aching between your legs so badly it was beginning to hurt. You needed him to touch you, you would beg for it at this point.
"Wonder what they'd think, hm." Eddie smirked, letting the strap fall again, right to the center of your ass. His rough hands slid over your hot skin, squeezing. You hissed at the burn, his chest folding over your back, curls tickling the shell of your ear.
"If they saw you like that, like this." Eddie's hands slid between your legs, fingertips gliding through your slick folds. You gasped, a strangling of a moan tore through the air, head tipping back and back arching deep into his touch.
"If they saw how needy you get f'me." Eddie growled, teeth bared with lust, breath hot on your cheek.
Your eyes met his, rounded and begging before he pinned you beneath him. Teeth clashing, hands grabbing at anything, everything you could. Your threading, pulling at the hair at the nape of his neck. His squeezing your ass cheeks, grinning into your kiss when you squealed.
"I-I've fuckin' missed you- Fuck, I've missed you." Eddie muttered, hot, sloppy kisses trailing down your jaw, your cheek.
"I've missed you." You tipped your head back onto the pillows, hips grinding on his thigh, shamelessly humping his leg, hands tangled in his hair.
"This was too long, Eddie. Don't-Don't do this again." You whimpered, shuddering when he sucked a deep bruise into your collarbones.
"I won't, baby. I won't." Eddie rasped, squeezing your breast, thumb rolling over your nipple. "Fuck, 's too long for me. Been fuckin' miserable."
"Yeah?" You hummed, half lidded lashes fluttering down towards him.
"Yeah." Eddie's lips curled, squeezing your hip playfully. "Way too fuckin' long. Been fuckin' starving." He growled, sitting up at the edge of the bed, your legs hooked around his shoulders.
"Eddie! Be careful!" You squealed, your body raised half off the mattress when he pulled you. You loved when he's manhandle you like this, tug and toss you into place so effortlessly.
His hands gripped the fat of your ass, leaving you hissing as he dove tongue first into your heat. No warm up, no warning, no teasing- just a man deprived, desperate for a taste.
"Oh!" You gaped in surprise, back arching into his mouth. Your hands fisted around the quilt above your head. Your clit ached when Eddie's tongue swiped over it, a beautiful pain that had your whole body burning in heat.
Clicks of spit mixing with your slick, muffle moans and gasps filled the small room, your body twisting in his grasp. Toes curling, chest heaving and stuttering far easier than usual, but what could you say? You had missed him. Missed this.
Eddie's stubble covered chin was covered in a wet sheen, shining in the sunlit room, stripping off the rest of his clothes. Belt buckle falling, jeans joining in a puddle.
"How d'ya want me, baby?" Eddie rasped, eyes lust-soaked and dark.
"However, I don't care." Pushing up on your elbows, moving closer to the edge of the bed.
Eddie grinned, a sly, dimpled smile that had your body electrified with a throbbing excitement. He settled between your legs, wrapping one around his hip. He swallowed a groan when you pumped his length, hips rolling towards your hand.
"That's it." Eddie looked down at you through half-lidded lashes. "Go on. Put it in there for me, honey."
Your body flushed with thrilling heat, pussy clenching at the authority in his voice. You pumped him a few more times, guiding him into your sopping hole, his hips pushing in with your guidance.
"Good girl. Knew you could be good for me." Eddie's voice was tight, mind numbing with every slow roll of his hips, your walls strangling his length.
"Fuck," Eddie shuddered, bottoming out. He held himself there for a moment, just wanting to feel you. He'd missed it, nearly forgotten how good you felt, it had been so long.
Your nails dug into his forearm when he started to move, slow and deep thrusts, filling you. "Feel s'good." Eddie muttered, hand squeezing your thigh, your hip. "You feelin' good?"
"Yeah." A breathy sigh teetering on a whine.
"Yeah?" Eddie grinned. "This what you needed, baby? This's all you needed wasn't it?"
"Yes, Eddie." You whimpered, hips grinding down to meet his slow thrusts. "G-Go faster."
"Faster?" Eddie grinned nearly teasingly, shifting your leg on his hip, pulling your closer to the edge. "You're in charge now, hm?"
"I- no." Your mind swirled with pleasure, babbling at the change of pace. "I just- I need it like that."
"Need?" Eddie laughed. You frowned, lip jutting in a pout that had his cock throbbing with need. "Alright, alright, I'll give you what you need, sweet girl. I gotcha, baby."
You clenched around him, head tipping back into the mattress. Eddie's thumb circled your clit lazily, smirking at how you whined, legs tightening around his hips.
"Look s'pretty like this." Eddie hummed, lashes fluttering, gaze rolling over your body. "Look pretty f'me, don't you? Look at me, sweetheart."
"For you." You looked over at him, eyes glassy with pleasure. "Eddie, I need-" You whined, back arching, body twisting in his grasp.
"What? You need what?" Eddie's pace slowed, looking at you carefully. "Tell me what you need."
Your body burned, a shooting flare of heat, as blinding as it was before. A primal need that had your mind stuttering. You weren't exactly sure what came over you, Eddie certainly wasn't. Pulling him flush against you roughly, his chest pressed to yours, hands by your shoulders to steady himself.
"What are you doin'-"
You gripped his ass, squeezing the muscles of his cheeks, pressing him deeper and deeper into you. Your legs tightening around his hips, locking him in place, your hips rolling, grinding into the wiry hair of his base.
Eddie's eyes widened, startled, a little shocked. You grabbed at him, grinding mercilessly onto him, hips rocking, cunt squeezing his cock. "F-Faster, Ed." You panted, eyed pinched closed.
Eddie faltered for a moment, feet planting awkwardly, body still folded over your, jackhammering into you still buried deep. Your legs squeezing his hips, arms wrapped around his body.
"Yes!" You cried into his skin, nails digging into his shoulder. "Like that, like that. Oh shit, just like that, Ed!" You babbled, grinding down to meet his furious pace.
"Like that?" Eddie gritted, hand sliding under your spine to hold you closer. "That's how you need it? That's good?"
"Yes, yes, so good, so good." You rambled, head lolling back.
Eddie's breath was hot on your cheek, pressing a sloppy kiss to your jaw, teeth grazing over the nape of your neck. You whined, clawing at him furiously, he knew his back would be marked with your scratches- he couldn't wait.
Eddie fucked into you, hard, hips stuttering as his own orgasm teetered closer and closer. Teeth sinking in a rough kiss to your neck, sucking a bruise that sent you right over the edge, body shaking in pure pleasure. His own orgasm following, spilling deeply inside of you. Your feet dug into his lower back, pushing him closer and closer to you as he released, a hungry look in your starry eyes that told him you weren't going to be done with him anytime soon.
"You-You gotta give me a second, baby." Eddie's chest heaved with yours, grunting at the burn in his legs when he shifted to stand. "Gotta gimme a second, and I-I'll get it up again. Just let me-"
You were grinning, that same sly smile across your features that had Eddie's heart leaping in excitement.
Eddie found himself back on the bed, against the headboard, you between his legs. "I- hmph- I can get it up, baby. You don't-don't have to- shit!" Eddie's hips bucked, fists clenching the quilt on the bed.
You looked up at him, lashes batting innocently, tongue running down the seam of his sac, sucking lightly. Your thumb moved back teasingly, sliding towards Eddie's tight hole.
"Hey, hey! Get outta there." Eddie's voice was tight, trying to swallow down a moan that threatened to spill out.
"Think you like it." You grinned, fingertip running along the vein on the underside of Eddie's cock, stirring back to life.
"Think I'll strap your ass some more if you do that again." Eddie threatened, eyes hard, but the flustered flush on his cheeks made you grin.
"Promise?" You grinned wickedly, pad of your finger dragging back slowly towards his sac.
"Jesus fuckin' Christ," Eddie grunted, your hands rolling and squeezing his balls perfectly, making his toes clench and curl.
Your finger tickled the underside of his balls, trailing lower and lower towards his crack when he'd finally had enough. Face down in the mattress, hands pinned behind your back, Eddie's free hand reigning down on your still sensitive ass. You squealed, squirmed, even giggled, cheek pressed to the quilt to look over at him.
Eddie's tongue rolled over his cheek, fighting back a smile he couldn't hold in. Eyes batting sweetly, that same little smile on your lips. "You're somethin' fuckin' else, you know that?" Eddie smirked.
"Yeah." You bite back a smile. "You love me anyways."
"I do." Eddie nodded, his grip loosening on your wrists, leaning down to kiss your cheek gently. You sighed contently, melting under his tender touch.
"Love you so much, baby." Eddie hummed. You burned under his gaze, heart soaring at the affection in his tone.
"Even if you are a brat." His hand fell down on your ass, pulling a squeal of surprise from you.
"How you want me this time?" Eddie smirked, legs swinging off the bed to stand, looking at you carefully.
You grinned, pushing off the mattress, back in your table top position towards the edge of the bed. Eddie snorted, muttering under his breath as he stroked himself, a hand on your spine pushing you down into place. You smirked against the mattress, hips wiggling for him. You finally got what you wanted.

You sat on the edge of the bed, tugging on your socks as the morning sounds kept you awake. An unusually early Saturday morning for the both of you as Toji hummed in the bathroom while you got the last of a large yawn out.
The sunlight slanted in through the half-open blinds and the early chill to the day filled your bedroom as you moseyed to browsed over what to wear in the closet.
In the bathroom with the door cracked open, Toji’s rich, gravelly voice drifted out over the soft hum of the electric razor.
“Gonna be a long day,” he says, the razor going silent as he rinses his face. “That realtor said we’ll see, what… four or five places?”
“Four.” You glance over a skirt and hold it up to you, contemplating before looking in the mirror hanging on the wall. “But you know how it goes. If we don’t find something, we have time. Housing market should remain stable for another 6 months. There’s no rush.”
“Right. But if we don’t start wrapping things up, Megumi’ll be in college and Tsumiki’ll be visiting with a grandkid before we settle anywhere.” He lets out a low chuckle, warm and amused.
It didn’t register just how much time had passed until Toji realized he’d hit the goal amount to buy a house. 3 years of playing house and marrying turned into being worried about if a house will have proper irrigation systems that will last.
There’s a brief clatter, then the faucet comes on full blast as he rinses off the last of the shaving cream. “Speaking of which, you ready for those college visits?”
You laugh, slipping on your blouse and buttoning it up. “Ready, yes. Prepared? Not a chance. You know he wants to tour every campus in this province and a few overseas. He’s keeping you on your toes.”
“Kid’s got ambition,” Toji says, amusement lacing his voice. “Wonder where he gets it from.”
You can picture him leaning forward to scrutinize himself in the mirror, the way he sometimes squints as he checks for stray stubble along his jaw. Groaning at the small patch of gray he shaves off first every single time.
It’s one of those everyday scenes you never quite get tired of. He’s steady, predictable in his habits, but there’s an ease in the familiarity.
“So, what’s the dream house, huh?” he asks after a pause. There’s a hint of something lighter in his tone, playful almost. “Big yard for maybe another kid to practice in, good schools, fancy kitchen for you?”
“A quiet neighborhood would be nice.” you say, tugging on your jeans. “And, yeah… I wouldn’t mind a spacious kitchen.”
Toji snorts, as the idea of him caring about school districts is somehow amusing. “Skipping over the yard part? Come on, what’s one more kid? A little mini me running around. Would be nice.”
You laughed grabbing your belt, pulling it through the loops as you stepped out in the bedroom. “Let’s get the house first. Then we can discuss having a kid with your big head and features. Sound good?”
“Guess we’re going full domesticated life now, huh? Yard sales on Sundays? Book club on Tuesdays? Starting to think you’re losing your touch, pretty lady.”
You chuckle, rolling your eyes even though he can’t see it. “You’d love it. Don’t even pretend.”
A beat later, Toji steps out into the bedroom, adjusting the collar of his dark red polo. The sleeves were fitted just enough to hint at the broadness of his shoulders, the solid strength of his arms bulging. The deep red complemented his dark hair perfectly. His khakis hug his waist and tapered down, showing off the powerful lines of his legs and the definition there—he looks effortlessly good, a little rugged but undeniably refined.
He catches you looking, his lips curving into a sly, knowing grin. “Like what you see?”
“Your ass.. Jesus,” you tease back, though your eyes are unabashedly admiring. The camel colored pants fit him like a glove. The way they accentuated his thighs made you want to scream. “Since when do you go for khakis?”
“Hey, I clean up nice.” He closes the distance between you in two easy strides, dropping a casual hand on your shoulder. He gives a slight squeeze before letting his fingers trail down your arm.” I bought them from that wholesale store. You know the one with the family size peanut butter?”
“The one that you single handedly empty out for your thick ass smoothies?”
“That’s the one.” Toji squeezes your rear and winks. “Anyway, figured I’d match the high standards. Realtors are probably used to dealing with rich types. Gotta look the part, right?”
“Eh. If nothing else, you’ll charm them into knocking down the price.”
He chuckles, bending down just enough to press a quick, lingering kiss to your forehead then your lips.” I’m starting to think you married me for my looks and devilish charm.”
“For the last time, Toji,” you gently wiped his chest, loosening the wrinkles before. “Yes. I did.”
He picked you up with ease, laughing as he wrapped your legs around him. “You’re unbelievable. And I thought you loved me.” Toji laid you on the bed, kissing your neck and holding your waist letting your pleas and laughter warm him up inside. “Am I just a scary dog and eye candy for you?” He teased.
“You’re much more than that. Great support system, incredible cook, inhumanely patient.” You ran your fingers over the nape of his neck as he hovered over you. “Hefty wallet when you aren’t losing during horse racing season.”
“I don’t lose often… anymore.” His lips curled into a boyish smile as he helped you sit up on the edge of the bed. He grabbed your shoes, lacing them on you before helping you stand. “Now. Let’s go get your dream house, baby doll. It’s been a long time coming.”
“Let’s go get it, baby boy.”
There was always something grounding about the routines you had together. Those quiet moments where you planned for the future with the same unhurried certainty that he shaves with, that he presses his lips to your skin with.
The thought of the three of you wandering through endless corridors of empty houses, each one holding the promise of a new start, filled you with a gentle anticipation.
And no matter where you ended up, it was always going to feel home if you had one another.

Dream House
Summary: Sometimes it is the smallest thing that matters.
Pairing: Frankie Morales x Reader
Word Count: 700 (keepin' it short and sweet)
No physical description of reader. Reader is a teacher. Classroom chaos mentioned in passing. Lots of fluff. This is my second attempt at any sort of fic. I'm just proud I finished something. Go me!
The sky had held the promise of snow most of the day. The clouds were gray and thick, covering the entire sky. A wet, cold chill swirled around your legs, and you rushed to the truck to go home. Frankie had insisted that you take his truck to work that morning, worried that snow might start before you were home. Pulling carefully out of the parking lot at work, you head towards the home you and Frankie shared.
Just before you had been married, Frankie rushed into the too-small kitchen of your too-small apartment out of breath with excitement.
“It’s for sale,” he panted out.
Your eyes widened with disbelief. “Don’t tease, Francisco. It’s been a day. Tanner kept eating the playdough. Madison poured the glue all over the floor, then had a meltdown because there wasn’t any glue to put the snowflakes on her picture. And zero kids were listening during the morning meeting."
“Baby,” he gently cradles your face with both of his hands. “Baby, look at me. I drove past there on the way home from work, and there’s a sign. Out front. For sale. Look, I took a picture.” Frankie fumbled with his phone to show you the picture he had taken of the house. The house. THE house. A Victorian house on a quiet street that you had both fallen in love with on a walk through the neighborhood with Flynn, your Australian Shepherd. It was in need of a renovator's hand and a good landscaper, but the house still had an indescribable charm. It was on that walk that night, standing in front of this house, that you and Frankie started to dream about the future.
“It’s for sale." With shaking hands, you looked at the picture on Frankie’s phone. “I don’t know, Sweets. It's a bit more house than we need right now, and the renovations alone will be crazy." But you took one look at Frankie and knew that none of it mattered. It was your house, your home.
After you had closed on your dream house, it seemed like something new needed to be fixed or replaced every few weeks. That’s why, when you walked into the house to find Frankie leaning over the sink and his tool box on the counter, you assumed something else was going to need to be repaired. “Oh no, love. What broke now? Please tell me it wasn’t the faucet! I swear I installed it just like it showed on YouTube. I read the directions a million times."
Frankie chuckled. “No, no. This time, nothing broke. But I did install this.” He pointed to a thin brass hook sticking out from the wall just to the left of the window sill. Too low to hang a plant from and awkwardly placed on the stove for cooking utensils, you look at him confused.
“Remember when you were making cinnamon rolls and Nacho jumped up on the counter to sun himself in the window and almost knocked your wedding ring into the sink? And you almost had a heart attack?"
You nod your head slowly, remembering the lurching feeling in your stomach when your giant orange tiger cat hopped up onto the counter and then to the sill. Your ring fell into the sink and slowly circled the drain.
“I didn’t almost have a heart attack."
“Well, I almost did when you screamed like that. So I installed this little hook for you to hang your ring so Nacho doesn’t knock it down again. And I won’t have years taken off my life rushing down the not exactly safe stairs trying to make sure you weren’t being murdered in our kitchen."
You look at your husband with absolute adoration in your eyes. “Frankie,” you whispered as you threw your arms around his neck, peppering his face with kisses. “Thank you, baby. This is so thoughtful."
“Anything for you, my love. Oh, and before I forget, the other faucet you installed in the powder room? Leaked and flooded the whole bathroom. We're going to have to replace it... again."
There were a million other renovation projects to be done in the house, but the simple brass hook gleaming in the warm light of the kitchen was by far your favorite addition.

I spent some time this afternoon in a slightly cold-ish haze, applying stain samples to pieces of wood. Some of the resulting colors may end up on the floorboards, eventually. The weird blue-greens are in there because I want to mix small amounts of them in with some of the browns, to make better shades of brown.
It's absolutely mind-boggling how many different individual components go into building a house. There are obvious materials, like framing lumber and drywall and bricks. (There are so many different kinds of bricks. We got to go to a neat warehouse and look at hundreds of samples of bricks, in many shades of red and orange and brown and yellow and off-white, with and without speckles, spots, textures, kiln-firing marks, and so on and so forth.) But then basically every single visible surface and fixture has to be chosen, and they all have to work together and look reasonably harmonious.
Floorboards. Tile. Faucets. Cabinet doors. Room doors. Doorknobs. Cabinet handles. Sconces and various light fixtures. Window trim moldings. Stair railings. Roof material. Countertop material.
I've learned that kitchen countertops can be made of laminate, like old-school Formica, or else slabs of stone or stone-like materials, and there's very little middle ground in terms of aesthetics or cost. It's either way low-end or way high-end. I mean, there are cheaper and more expensive kinds of stone slabs, but it's all stone, with significant fabrication costs on top of the base material price.
For most of these things, you have to go to showrooms and deal with sales people. And at that point, I begin to run into difficulties.
See, on the internet I get to be the fascinating and mysterious Mr. Velocipede, and talk about whatever projects I've been working on, and post pictures of things I've made. People are willing to think of me as competent, or in some categories an actual expert to some degree, and it's a fairly comfortable persona to inhabit. It's very easy to forget that in the offline world, I'm a very ordinary-looking middle-aged housewife kind of thing. It's not how I think of myself, but it's definitely what I look like to any outside observer.
During the house-building project, I've been constantly, incessantly reminded of why I became Mr. Velocipede in the first place: being a girl in this culture sucks.
I don't actually mind being female (although I often feel like I'm kind of crap at it), but the kinds of assumptions made about you are so fucking insultingly stupid that I've never really figured out how to respond to them. You're supposed to use Pinterest boards and read magazines full of fairy-tale cottages and have a "dream kitchen" that you've been fantasizing about since you got married and stopped fantasizing about your dream wedding.
You're supposed to want to hide all your appliances neatly in tasteful cupboards, so as not to offend guests with your unsightly refrigerator or microwave or washing machine. I've lost count of the number of times I've had to explain to people that I don't want a special board that attaches to my cabinets, to hide the side of the refrigerator. "But you'll see the side of the refrigerator!" they admonish me. "It's not finished the same as the front! It doesn't match the cabinets!"
Yeah, okay, but what if I like having a magnetic surface to stick things on? What if I don't want to spend money on a random unnecessary board that basically dangles from the upper cabinet?
And there is always, always the assumption that you cannot possibly know anything at all about materials and how they work. I got to listen to quite a long speech about how window screens actually block a certain percentage of the light. Did I know that? Well, yes, as a matter of fact I did. That was why I was asking about getting half-screens, instead of ones that cover the entire window.
It turns out that color is a very stressful subject for a lot of people, which I guess I sort of knew, but am now having to cope with more directly. Our architect is all stressed out because I haven't chosen a stain color yet, and I scared him by buying a bunch of sample bottles of weird bright colors of stain. I've been trying to reassure him that I'm very happy to figure out how to mix a custom stain color myself, out of whatever stock colors exist, but this is apparently unheard of.
But I am flat-out refusing to just pick one of the existing stock colors, because they are all too jarringly harsh and simple, and not at all the effect I want. And I can't figure out how to convey the idea that I know how to work with color, I understand that it's going to look different on different kinds of wood, I know what I'm doing, and I'm not going to burst into tears if it doesn't look like some reference photo in a brochure. Those brochures all look awful, and I know I can do better, if only people will stop calling me "little lady" and let me fucking get on with it.
#the house-building project#gender#complaints department#it is all very frustrating#I am probably less shouty and sweary when I don't have a cold#long post#I used to have a thing on my website that said 'Mr. Velocipede is a rude lady'

Thess vs The Unexpected
I mean, the work day wasn't unexpected. I got left with the lion's share of the fiddly annoying bullshit, which I finished ... well, more or less on time, since the grand finale for the afternoon was a seventeen-minute monstrosity by The Breast Guy. I was just about to start that off and praying I'd finish at least more or less by 5pm when my mobile rang - my stepfather. He's been at the other flat a lot lately, which means hey, great, maybe something's going to happen and this one will start getting renovated soon! (Though watch; I'm going to end up living back at the other flat for another three-plus years while he procrastinates. But at least he's doing stuff and I might be able to have an actual shower and non-leaky faucets sometime before 2025.) Anyway, I probably sounded frazzled, since his first response was, "Sorry to disturb". Then he asked if he could drop something off and I was like, "...Okay, sure", while wondering what the hell he could possibly be wanting to drop in my general direction.
The answer? ...Cutlery, apparently. They got new cutlery for themselves and thought I might like their old set (or, well, part of their old set, because I am highly unlikely to ever need more than four place settings at a go).
No, see, as may have been gathered by this point, the parentals have a lot more money than I do. This is why I tend to ask for things like cookware as Christmas and birthday gifts - they can afford the good stuff and understand this stuff as an investment. You know, better to have a really good pot that you may not have to replace in your entire lifetime than have a cheap piece of crap that'll be unusuable in a couple of years. The "Vimes 'Boots' Theory of Socio-Economic Unfairness" as applied to cookware. Now, when I was first living on my own, I had cheap crappy aluminium cutlery with about the heft of the average chewing gum wrapper (and almost the same ability to bend). But I graduated from that, in a sense - really good sale on a cutlery set at Habitat. So I have some pretty solid cutlery but not ... you know, The Best. The parentals, however? Probably not The Absolute Best either, but I have always been rather admiring of their cutlery. It is some solid shit, lemme tell you. So I guess they remembered how much I liked theirs and thought I would give it a good home. Which I obviously will, because if there's one thing my ongoing cookery kick has taught me, it's the benefits of having good shit in the kitchen.
Long story short, that cheered me up enough to get through the seventeen-minute monstrosity with ... okay, I was only really tempted to fling the laptop at the nearest wall once. So that's a win. I still hurt like hell, mind, and I'm counting the days to my week off (a little under two weeks and counting - my birthday present to myself every year), but there was a bright spot. New kitchenware has that effect. I got myself a wok recently, and my next purchase is going to be a 9" by 13" baking tin, which I need for a specific Baking Yesteryear dessert. (Actually for a lot of Baking Yesteryear desserts. Also brownies.) Also, bright spot in that the workday is over and after a little bit of time to let some of the OW fade, I will be making gluten-free fish fingers (well, technically cod goujons, but that's a wee bit pretentious) and relaxing with a little bit of Baldur's Gate 3 or something.

Where Was I?
It’s been a busy few days, where did I leave you? I think we were stuffing our faces with Valentine food. I’ve been on a celery and salad kick since then - my arteries need scrubbing. Since then we’ve made more progress on the kitchen (hardware added, sink and faucet ordered, quartz counters ordered) and I love it more every day. Here’s the hardware -
They’re a warm, oil-rubbed bronze finish and Mickey made short work of attaching them to 28 cupboards and drawers. My hero. That’s why you see a glimpse of his shop vac in the second photo - he even sucked up sawdust from his drill as he worked. His mama trained him right. We finally chose and ordered our countertops. I spent a long time shuffling and staring at samples.
I thought I’d be more of a fan of the sort of soapstone sample - the rectangular, dark tile that’s middle left. Maybe I should have waited until we had the hardware on and viewed hem that way. Nah, I knew that I was getting the right vibe from some of the beige pieces. I zeroed in on one that is a few shades darker than the cabinets, but in the same family. Not too cool, not too warm, has a soft, creamy feel, that sort of thing.
I didn’t like the really busy samples at all. The darker options seemed too harsh in the open concept (I hate that phrase) floor plan we have. Beige worked best, but some were too light, some were too gray, and the sample named Taj Royale was baby bear’s chair - just right.
Our installation date is March 10th and I can’t wait. Hallelujah! In even better news, Matt arrived yesterday! He came home to spend his birthday week with us and it’s already been fun. Tomorrow he’ll be 38 and there’s absolutely no way I can have a child that old. NO way. How did that happen?? Obviously, I was a child bride. When Matt and I are together something weird usually happens. We’re both freak magnets, and we thoroughly enjoy that. Today we went out and about on a couple of errands but it was all very ordinary. Bummer. We’ll try again tomorrow.
One of the stops that we made today was at an auction house. There’s a company in Denton that deals in estate sales and that sort of thing and they have an auction every week. During the pandemic everything went online and they’ve never gone back to hosting live auctions. They post a catalog of items every Sunday and customers have all week to scroll through it. On Saturdays and Sundays they throw open the doors so you can inspect the goods, and bidding ends on Monday, with auctions closing every few seconds. We have lost our ever-loving minds over this stuff. Last week we picked up two Cracker Barrel rocking chairs for less than the price of one. Score! I bought a gorgeous large mirror to start a makeover of the downstairs powder room...and only paid four dollars for it. The cheapskate in me is quivering with delight.
Here’s the mirror, stashed in the garage. You can see the rockers too!
Don’t judge that corner of the garage. It’s a work in progress.
I’ve picked up batches of gorgeous picture frames for a few dollars. Mickey won the bid for a beautiful Longaberger storage basket with a wooden lid that is currently storing vinyl and paper in my craft room. It’s so nice. We turned Tyler and Jamie on to the auction sit and they’ve made a couple of fabulous purchases. Yesterday’s auction had some wonderful patio furniture that I wish I had a need for - and it went cheap. We did get these great wicker trunks for the master closet, perfect for keeping things tidy.
They’re in excellent condition and you know I love pretty storage. I couldn’t resist this adorable baby doll cradle.
It rocks perfectly. I’ll clean it up and make it sweet for the grandgirl to tuck her baby into. You know there will be rosebuds and lace involved. One of the items that Jamie purchased was an exceptionally nice faux plant. She’d been shopping for one for their home office, and as you know they’re ridiculously pricey. I sent her pics from the auction house of three different plants and this was the winner.
She won it at just over the five dollar mark. She’ll fluff it up and put it in a pretty pot and she’s saved herself about a hundred bucks. I’m giddy over the bargains.
Mickey purchased this thing.
He says it’s a saw, and that giant rolling case has some saw-related paraphernalia in it. He’s looking toward retirement and thinking of making frames (for his millions of photos) and doing a bit of woodworking like his dad did. I’ve shared a few of the purchases the Pullen family made, and left out a bunch of odds and ends that were smaller. A wooden desk organizer, vintage bowls, etc. Mickey was working today and the Edgewaters are over the bridge doing the same, so I told everyone that I’d be happy to pick up all of the winnings. I love doing it and it makes me look like a big spender. BUT...I forgot that our SUV is in the shop (that’s another story) and we have a rental. A little sedan with a trunk just about the size of that doll cradle. Matt said he’d come with me to help load up and I warned him that I might have to make three trips. Those big wicker trunks, that enormous saw and case, the large plant, the cradle, the odds and ends...oh dear. Luckily, I raised kids in the generation that played countless video games and Matt’s Tetris skills kicked in. We filled every nook and cranny of that little car and got it all home.
It wasn’t purty but we got ‘er done. Now I’ve got to wrap this up and get dinner on the table. I started a pork loin in the crockpot about 11am and I’ve got taters and green beans to roast. I’ll add a balsamic glaze to the pork loin and serve it all to these hungry boys. Later I’ll sneak upstairs and wrap the last couple of gifts for the birthday boy and tomorrow we will celebrate him. Sounds like a recipe for a wonderful day. I hope you’ve got something on the calendar to look forward to - anticipation is half the fun. If not, put something on the calendar - “treat myself to a facial” or “picnic in the park”. Oh gosh, stretching out on a blanket with a good book after a picnic lunch sounds like something I need to schedule. Choose something you’d enjoy and make it happen. Life is short, might as well make it sweet. Sending out love, grab some if you need it. Stay safe, stay well.
Nancy P.S. I typed this super fast, I’m sure I’ll look at it later and cringe over the typos. Have mercy.

I first posted this 1947 art deco home in Baltimore, Maryland about 3 yrs. ago and the 2bd, 1.5ba house just sold for $239K.
The living room has glass block, curved walls and a fireplace wall, all original.
The living room flows into the dining room to reveal the other side of the double-sided fireplace. Some of the furniture was included in the sale.
The wall shelving is perfect for a tea pot collection or something of similar size.
Bedroom #1 has cool cowboy wallpaper that was very popular for little boys rooms.
The blue bathroom sink is definitely retro.
Bedroom #2 is small, and appears to be a pass thru to the kitchen and 1/2 bath.
The 1/2 bath has a stainless sink with baseball faucet handles. Not sure if the suitcases are decorative or for storage.
The kitchen has original metal cabinets and linoleum floors.
A kitchen table fits in this pantry area.
I don't know why there's a sink, stove and fridge in here.
Small sun porch in the back. This home does need work and seems like it's been slowly deteriorating due to neglect.
There's a patio in the back. What's going on with the roof? It looks like the brick deteriorated and they just painted over it.
The yard is dirt, so it will need some landscaping.
Lake Montebello is across the road.
Before they repainted it green it was yellow.

Significance of Detail Shots in Interior Photography: An Analysis
Interior photography is an art form that captures the essence of spaces, showcasing design, functionality, and ambience. While wide-angle shots highlight a room's layout and overall feel, detail shots delve deeper, revealing the finer elements that make a space unique. These close-up images focus on textures, patterns, and features that tell the story of the design. This blog explores why detail shots are essential in interior photography in London and how they elevate the visual narrative of a space.
Highlighting Unique Features
Detail shots allow photographers to highlight standout elements in a room, such as:
A beautifully designed light fixture.
The intricate patterns on a rug.
Unique hardware on cabinetry.
These images in interior photography draw attention to features that might be overlooked in broader shots. Thus ensuring that every part of the design is appreciated.
2. Adding Depth to the Story
Every space has a story to tell. Detail shots provide the visual "chapters" that complete the narrative. For example:
A close-up of a vintage clock on a mantelpiece shows the homeowner's appreciation for timeless decor.
A zoomed-in shot of fresh flowers on a dining table adds a touch of vibrancy and warmth.
These images evoke emotions and help viewers connect with the space on a personal level.
3. Showcasing Craftsmanship
Interior photography often serves as a showcase for architects, designers, and artisans. Detail shots are crucial for highlighting their craftsmanship, such as:
The stitching on a custom-made sofa.
The precision of woodwork in a handmade table.
The fine details of a handwoven tapestry.
These images celebrate the effort and skill involved in creating a space. Hence, they are invaluable for portfolios and marketing materials.
4. Enhancing Visual Appeal
Variety is vital to keeping an audience engaged. Wide-angle shots provide the "big picture," while detail shots offer visual breaks. They also focus on more minor, intriguing aspects of a space.
Textures like a rough stone wall, a smooth marble countertop, or a plush velvet cushion stand out in detail shots.
Contrasts between materials, such as glass and wood or metal and fabric, create visual interest.
These images make a gallery more dynamic and captivating.
5. Supporting Branding and Marketing
For businesses in real estate, hospitality, or interior design, detail shots in interior photography are a powerful marketing tool. They:
Convey a sense of luxury and sophistication.
Showcase the quality and thoughtfulness of design, appealing to potential clients.
Create visually appealing content for websites, brochures, and social media.
A close-up of a designer faucet or elegant drapery can leave a lasting impression. It also reinforces the brand's attention to detail.
6. Enhancing Real Estate Listings
Detailed real estate or interior photography shots make a property feel more personal and alluring. While wide shots show the size and layout, detail shots accentuate features like:
High-end finishes in a kitchen.
Unique tiling in a bathroom.
The warmth of a cosy fireplace.
These images can help buyers envision themselves in the space, increasing the likelihood of a sale.
7. Invoking Emotions
Detail shots excel at capturing the mood and character of a space. For example:
The glow of a bedside lamp evokes a sense of comfort and relaxation.
A close-up of a book and coffee cup on a table conveys warmth and homeliness.
Detail shots create emotional connections that resonate with viewers by focusing on small, relatable elements.
8. Building a Balanced Portfolio
For interior photographers, a balanced portfolio showcases the grandeur of spaces and the beauty of the finer details. Detail shots demonstrate a photographer's versatility. They also have the ability to capture the essence of design. Thus, making their work stand out to potential clients.
Tips for Capturing Effective Detail Shots:
Here are some valuable tips to make the most of detail shots in interior photography:
Focus on Lighting:
Use natural or artificial light to highlight textures and details.
Choose the Right Angle:
Experiment with angles to find the most flattering perspective.
Use a Macro Lens:
For extreme close-ups, a macro lens can capture intricate details.
Keep It Simple:
Avoid clutter in the frame to maintain focus on the subject.
Pay Attention to Composition:
Utilise the rule of thirds or other compositional techniques to create balanced and visually pleasing shots.
Conclusion
Detail shots play a crucial role in interior photography by capturing the small but significant elements that define a space. They bring designs to life, add depth to storytelling, and highlight the craftsmanship and thought behind every detail. For designers, architects, real estate agents, and photographers, these close-up images are not just an addition to wide-angle shots—they are an essential tool for showcasing the full potential of a space. Detail shots elevate interior photography in London by focusing on the finer points, turning simple rooms into unforgettable masterpieces. Turn to Interior Photographer Maciek, the best interior photographer who creates stunning masterpieces to highlight your property features.

How Selling As-Is Saves You Time and Money in Harrodsburg
Selling a home can be a complex and costly process, especially if your property requires repairs or renovations before it’s market-ready. Homeowners often face the dilemma of deciding whether to invest time and money into repairs or sell their home as-is. For homeowners in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, who want a quicker and more straightforward sale, selling your home as-is can offer significant advantages. Whether you’re dealing with a tight timeline, financial struggles, or simply don’t want to deal with the hassle of fixing up your home, selling as-is to a real estate investor can be a game-changer.
In this comprehensive article, we’ll explore how selling as-is saves you both time and money, and why it might be the best option for homeowners in Harrodsburg. We’ll also look at how selling to a real estate investor like White Barn Home Buyers can make the entire process easier and more efficient.
What Does “Selling As-Is” Mean?
When you sell a home “as-is,” you’re offering the property in its current condition—no repairs, renovations, or upgrades necessary. This means that the buyer agrees to purchase the property without asking you to make any changes or improvements to it. Selling as-is is common when working with real estate investors, as they are often looking for properties they can renovate or resell, rather than for a home that’s move-in ready.
In traditional home sales, sellers often need to make repairs to attract buyers. Whether it’s fixing a leaky roof, replacing old appliances, or updating an outdated kitchen, these repairs can be costly and time-consuming. With an as-is sale, you avoid this pressure and leave the responsibility of repairs to the buyer.
Why Sell As-Is in Harrodsburg?
There are several reasons why homeowners in Harrodsburg may choose to sell their home as-is. Some of these reasons include:
Avoiding the Cost of Repairs The cost of repairs can quickly add up, especially if your home has significant damage or outdated features. Homeowners may be tempted to make small repairs here and there, but when you factor in the cost of materials, labor, and time, the total can be overwhelming. Common repairs that homeowners might have to deal with include:
Roof replacements
Foundation repairs
Plumbing and electrical fixes
Painting and cosmetic upgrades
In fact, according to HomeAdvisor, the average cost of home repairs in Kentucky is around $1,500 to $5,000, depending on the extent of the damage. Selling your home as-is means you can avoid these expenses altogether.
Time Constraints Homeowners in Harrodsburg may be facing time constraints due to job relocations, family emergencies, or financial difficulties. In these cases, selling your home quickly without making repairs can be a huge advantage. The process of fixing up a home to sell traditionally can take months, while an as-is sale can be completed in a fraction of the time.Real estate investors like White Barn Home Buyers can close on a home in as little as 7-14 days, which can be a lifesaver if you need to sell your property fast.
No Need for Showings and Staging Selling a home the traditional way often requires multiple showings, open houses, and home staging to make your property appealing to potential buyers. This process can be stressful and time-consuming, especially if your home is not in pristine condition. When you sell as-is, there is no need for staging or prepping your home for buyers. You can skip the hassle and sell your home without worrying about keeping it spotless for showings.
No Dealing with Buyer Requests When you list a home with a realtor, buyers often come back with requests for repairs after inspections. These requests can include anything from fixing leaky faucets to replacing flooring or repairing a cracked foundation. Buyers may also ask for price reductions based on these findings. Selling your home as-is means the buyer accepts the property in its current state, so you don’t have to negotiate over repairs or price reductions.
Avoiding the Risk of a Deal Falling Through The traditional selling process can be full of uncertainties. After a buyer’s offer is accepted, they still need to secure financing, undergo inspections, and finalize paperwork. If any of these steps fall through, you could end up back at square one. Selling as-is to a real estate investor eliminates this risk, as investors typically purchase homes for cash, bypassing the need for financing and inspections.
How Selling As-Is Saves You Money
Selling as-is can save you significant amounts of money in several ways. Let’s break down the financial benefits of choosing this option:
1. Save on Repair Costs
As mentioned earlier, repairs can be expensive. Whether your home needs major structural repairs or minor cosmetic updates, the costs can quickly add up. For example:
Roof replacement: $5,000 to $10,000
Plumbing and electrical work: $2,000 to $10,000
Kitchen or bathroom remodel: $10,000 to $25,000
By selling as-is, you save yourself from these hefty expenses. Investors are accustomed to buying homes in any condition, so they’ll factor these repair costs into their offer rather than expecting you to fix them before the sale.
2. Avoid Realtor Fees and Commissions
When you sell your home through a real estate agent, you’ll typically pay a commission fee, which can range from 5-6% of the sale price. For a $200,000 home, that would mean paying around $10,000 to $12,000 in commissions alone. Additionally, you may incur other costs such as marketing fees, closing costs, and staging expenses.
Selling as-is to a real estate investor means you avoid these costs. Investors usually don’t charge commissions or fees, and the closing process is typically quicker and simpler. This allows you to keep more of your money without having to share it with an agent or cover additional costs.
3. Eliminate the Cost of Staging
Home staging can cost anywhere from $1,000 to $5,000, depending on the size of the home and the staging company you choose. Staging is essential for homes in good condition, but it becomes unnecessary when you sell as-is. Investors aren’t concerned with how the home looks—they’re focused on the potential of the property and the price.
4. Save on Time and Lost Opportunities
When you spend time and money on repairs, staging, and marketing your home, you’re losing out on opportunities to sell your home quickly. The longer your home sits on the market, the more you risk price reductions, extra costs, and frustration. Selling as-is allows you to bypass these time-consuming steps and sell your property quickly.
The Process of Selling Your Home As-Is in Harrodsburg
Selling as-is to a real estate investor is a straightforward and hassle-free process. Here’s a step-by-step guide on what you can expect:
Contact a Real Estate Investor The first step is to contact a real estate investor like White Barn Home Buyers. You’ll provide some basic information about your property, including its condition, location, and any issues you’re aware of.
Get a Cash Offer Once the investor has reviewed the details, they’ll make you a no-obligation cash offer for your home. This offer is typically made within 24 to 48 hours, and you can choose whether or not to accept it.
Close Quickly If you accept the offer, you’ll work with the investor to set a closing date that works for you. Investors typically close within 7-14 days, allowing you to move on with your life without delay.
Walk Away with Cash After closing, you’ll receive cash for your home, minus any agreed-upon closing costs. This can provide a fresh financial start and peace of mind.
Conclusion: Is Selling As-Is Right for You in Harrodsburg?
Selling your home as-is in Harrodsburg can be a smart decision if you want to save time, avoid costly repairs, and simplify the selling process. By working with a real estate investor like White Barn Home Buyers, you can sell your property quickly, without the added stress of repairs, staging, or agent fees. Whether you’re facing financial hardship, need to sell quickly, or simply want a hassle-free experience, selling as-is can provide the solution you need.
