Laudna’s “I already apologized for that” enraged me so much because no, actually, she didn’t. She never once said “I’m sorry for hurting you” what she said was “I didn’t mean to” and there are key differences there

1. She never acknowledged with her own words that she attacked and did damage to Orym while he, and everyone else, was ASLEEP and DEFENSELESS.

2. “I didn’t mean to” is not an apology, the word “sorry” or “apologize” are not included in that statement. “I didn’t mean to” by itself is an excuse, not an apology.

3. Even if “I’m sorry” came before or after “I didn’t mean to” that’s still not a real apology, because the very nature of throwing that “I didn’t mean to” in there is to garner sympathy for yourself, relieving yourself of at least partial blame, and if anything, apologizing more for being caught than for attacking a sleeping member of your party.

From the moment everyone else woke up Laudna spent the rest of the episode trying to deflect, garner sympathy for herself, and put blame on Orym.

Her argument for why she ATTACKED a SLEEPING member of the party changed every time someone rationally stated why her excuses weren’t entirely valid.

She also continued to ignore and downplay Oryms own experiences with the sword, as though his and everyone else’s experiences weren’t as significant as hers. Yes, she died by that blade, but so have almost everyone else in the party, and so did Orym’s family. Except they didn’t get revived. And while this isn’t a contest, Laudna isn’t the only one who deserves to decide what is done with the blade. Orym should have maybe talked with the rest of the group first, sure, but Laudna is acting like she is the only one who deserves to decide what to do with it and she simply is not. If ANYTHING, I feel like this outburst means she shouldn’t be included/involved with the decision at all.

Yes, I understand that all of this is because of Delilah in her head, but Delilah only made the initial suggestion. The attack, the fight, the multiple attempts to steal the sword and run, the outlashes, the things she said, all of that, was Laudna. Not Delilah. Matt even said as much after she rolled for it. It was her decision to act like she did, and do the things she did.

And after all that, for her to have the audacity to not only claim she has never lied to Imogen, but also to claim she apologized? Absolutely not. There was nothing even remotely close to an apology in anything she said, because Laudna doesn’t think she did anything wrong. Even after being told by everyone she was.

For anyone curious, I have just gone through and deleted all the art I could from this account. Regrettably I can’t access my old art blog and do the same there but I’ve done what I could here.

This is due to the likely soon to be implemented AI shit going on with tumblr. As such, I will likely never be posting again on this blog, save to reblog the occasional challenge.

I know this blog didn’t really have any followers, save the people that knew me outside of this, not have I posted in forever, but still. Thanks to anyone who sees this for having been here.

Hey this is Kisa. Don't feel bad about putting Luocha and Welt together. I do it to. I think they could be good friends..

I would like for Luocha to be good friends with Welt-

But I’m gonna be very honest- I think he cause Welt the biggest fight or flight response- and I worry for Welt-

Otto Apocalypse made Welt’s life the biggest hell and also made so many people he loved die or just made him suffer so much. Even going so far with a video game copyright, A COPYRIGHT (APHO 1 mentioned this I believe).

Void Archives is a very different cause as we get straight up told by him that he was heavily influenced by Otto, even if he does not wanna admit it, he will because of the fact he was stuck with Otto for 500 years

I would love Luocha to be a good guy but just like Welt in Luocha’s quest I too had that “oh my goodness don’t pull an Otto-“ realization and let me just say the yell I had

I wanna think Luocha is a good guy, but I feel so bad my team is just Luocha, Welt, Yukong and Silverwolf. Yukong and Silverwolf are chilling while Welt is trying to keep Luocha so far away from him-

This is something that has always annoyed me when people use the argument about burger flippers when discussing minimum/livable wages.

Even if you disregard the fact that a minimum wage is supposed to be the minimum wage one can have to be able to live (I.e. a livable wage). Even if you ignore the fact that someone working at Mc Donald’s flipping burgers deserves to be able to make enough money to afford rent. Even if you ignore all the burger flipper arguments. Minimum wage is not exclusively used for “teenage” jobs.

Wether you are working food service, retail, or an office, there is someone in your company that is making minimum wage. In every job. And most of the time those people are also the very backbone of said company. If there is no one flipping burgers, you cannot buy said burger. If there is no one acting as cashier, you cannot purchase the products you want to purchase. If there isn’t a sanitation worker cleaning your hospital, people will die of infections due to lack of hygiene. If housekeepers do not clean a hotel room, a new guest cannot check into it.

Those are all people who make a minimum wage. They are all people who’s jobs are mandatory.

The shelter worker who wants to keep animals safe deserves a livable wage. The “burger flipper” who works at Mc Donald’s deserves a livable wage. The server at your favorite restaurant deserves a livable wage.there is not a single person in the world who spends 40+ hours a week working a job, soul crushing or not, that does not deserve to make enough money to live comfortably, and I cannot fathom how or why there are people who do not agree with this statement.

What makes a man who works at Walmart overnight and Burger King during the day and only spends 5 hours a night on sleep and can’t even afford basic health care, less deserving of enough money to make ends meet than a woman working in a law firm making enough money to own 2 houses? Why does one evoke the feeling of “they earned the right to make a lot of money” more than the other? Why can’t they BOTH be able to afford rent and food and basic necessities while still having a little extra cash left over for fun??

I went off on a bit of a tangent there but god people who say minimum wage doesn’t need to be $15 make me so angry. $15 isn’t even a livable wage now! It’s more like $20! But we aren’t allowed to even ask for less than a livable wage without being told we are greedy and lazy. I don’t know about you, but I have never met a person who makes minimum wage that was lazy enough to not deserve to live. We all deserve to be able to afford to live! Why is that such a difficult concept?

GOD I wish the minimum wage was a living wage.

I'm not flipping burgers, I'm cleaning litterboxes and doing basic vet care like checking weights, administering medicine, bathing, using IVs, keeping records, making lists, doing photography, and way way more. But the point is even if I was just cleaning litterboxes... I love the work. I wish I could pay rent. Shouldn't I be able to clean litterboxes and feed cats who were rescued from the streets and do that fulfilling wonderful work without wondering where I'm going to live?

Shouldn't someone be able to flip burgers, make art, clean up trash, care for the oceans, teach your children, or rescue animals without being forced to choose between their job and their bills?

What if I don't WANT to climb the ladder and use my degree and search for high stress high pay jobs in order to live? What if I want the high stress job of seeing a kitten crashing below survivable temperature and bringing them back from the brink of death, knowing that I'm the only thing standing between this homeless, unwanted kitten and an early grave?

Shouldn't that be enough? Shouldn't I be able to afford food and rent by doing that?

I don't want to work at a vet office that can give me steady pay increases. I want to work here, with cats who have no owners, nursing them back to health and helping pick their forever home. I want the infrastructure to support me in doing that. I want the laws to say I can and have programs in place to make it so my shelter CAN support me. I want rent to reflect wages. I want wages to reflect rent.

I want to help the world and be able to survive doing it. I want to thrive doing it. I want that for everyone.

I'm curious, so when Linuj put out what each person would do in the foundation if they all got out of the academy, he put Kizuna as a receptionist. It always felt like a bit weird, I kinda thought she'd be real bored doing something like that, but what are your thoughts?

Oh yeah, Kizuna having to sit in a reception all day answering calls and filling up papers? She would absolutely be bored out of her mind doing that. I could totally see her leaving her post whenever boredom gets too big to go after others from the cast just to chat or gossip, the proceed to get scolded by Tsurugi for not doing her job.

Something that bugs me about adult Kizuna is that she has the exact same clothes as Sdra2 Minako in that design, down to the star earing and the placement of her the foundation ID card.

In one hand i find it kinda cute that the two have similar tastes, but knowing how much Linuj dislikes her I can't help but think he didn't bother designing something for her and just gave her the same look as her mother, it's really a shame he took the lazy route there because the others have really neat designs :(

But back to the receptionist thing, as much as i like Kizuna i really can't think of what else she could be working at in a place like the Kisaragi foundation, she's far from the smartest person there and she doesn't have that much patience either to deal with something like negociations or mediating.

The one way i could see her having a different role is if she was working as the assistant of some other character or as a team with them, but as a standalone job? Yeah, I can't picture anything other than a simpler role like that.

Forever feral that I noted it down that Kisa and Rosalind were childhood best friends who got separated the day the cult kidnapped Kisa (whose soul magic triggered and wiped everyone in vicinity) so then when the time comes, Kisa will ultimately have to choose who to side with between Kaidan and Rosalind and gods it isn't just a "but he/she did horrible things!" argument anymore because all of them did so so sooo much worse at one point and there's no way this confrontation will not end without violence--

furuba stage review - part 1?? (casting)

it’s been almost a year since furuba stage last came out, and i was only able to watch it now because i rewatched the anime. do take note that i watched the play without subs and solely relied on my story knowledge to understand the whole thing (they pretty much followed the OG storyline so this isn’t really an issue).

the casting

let’s start with the most important aspect of this (or any) play. the casting. and i kid you not, the casting for this is PERFECT.

when i first saw the cast list, i was lowkey in doubt with some characters seeing im somehow familiar with both the story and the actors (and how they play certain roles) but i was proven wrong when i actually watched the whole thing.

ayano christie yoshida (nogizaka46) who played as tohru, did absolutely great! tohru’s formal way of speaking, her gentle and calming vibe, she got it all down. the eye language (is that a thing?) was superb, considering that furuba has a lot of scenes where monologue comes into play.

Next we have hashimoto shohei (akutagawa - bsd stage, nishinoya - haikyuu engeki, leo - enstars stage) who played as kyo. Initially, i wasnt sure what to expect bc he has a versatile way of acting. but after seeing the true form arc (which i’ll get into detail in a separate post) i thought “yep, he’s perfect. he’s literally kyo in the flesh”. maybe the only thing i didnt particularly like was the fact that his voice tends to go up by a pitch when he screams (which is to say, kyo screams A LOT) but i thought it wasnt rlly an issue seeing that shohei’s voice is naturally high-pitched.

yuki .. OH GOD YUKI.. i might be a bit biased here because i rlly like naoya kitagawa, but to say that he’s the real life yuki is an understatement. he portrayed yuki with grace and elegance i cannot explain. so to say, he also portrayed tsukasa suou in enstars stage so i know he has a delicate performance, which suits yuki. his supposed intimate scenes literally had me dying because it was well executed. his fight scenes with kyo was amazing as he moved with grace despite being an intense scene.

i wont be commenting one by one on them as it’ll take forever to finish, so i only talked about the main trio. but here’s some honorable mentions.

kisa’s stage actress, erina kamata (im not so sure abt the name because i can barely find infos about her, correct me if im wrong), did the greatest. despite the young age, she was performing in par with the adults. her scene with hiro which she caught him doing mischief, the emotions whenever she says “hiro-chan”, the voice she did when kisa can barely speak, she did it all perfectly.

upon scrolling on twitter, i see people talking about ayame portrayed by hiroki nakata and he did not disappoint. he was able to exude ayame’s comedic energy and he did it without looking like a cringe. he was obnoxious, loud, outgoing, literally ayame. im not sure if his parts with shigure and hatori was adlib (esp the “yosh” part), but whether that was adlib or not, it still gave me a good laugh. he also had parts in between scenes that wasnt originally in the story (so im assuming those are adlibs that he had to do for some reason), but he did it with ease and it was perfect nonetheless. (i was too lazy to search for other pvs and this was the only steady shot on him. so in-character right haha)

she was turned by carlos in the 1920s she does not remember the day or the year since it's rather fuzzy in her mind she is still unsure why he did so but her suspicions are it had to do with surrounding kisa with eternal companions

carmen at first resented carlos for turning her and despised drinking blood only feeding when she absolutely needed to but after two decades by kisa's side she realized it was bearable if she could be with the woman forever

she still cannot stand carlos but that's a separate issue from him turning her she just doesn't like the way he treats kisa and that kisa loves him she's jealous but it goes deeper than that

carmen wanted to go with kisa (and richie) but was refused since kisa didn't want to hold her back anymore she thanked her for her decades of friendship (ouch) and companionship but she wanted her to live her own life

after malvado is killed carmen finds kisa again and joins her culebra commune and enjoys her time with her old friend whom she was still hopelessly in love with

I finally finished a route!

Gosh it was so satisfying watching all the character arcs and performances develop and come together. I ended up getting attached to the cast. You don't always get to read a tight satisfying story.......

There are questions I still have, but I figure I just have to play through the other routes.

Mood. I was also semi guilty of doing it but. Luocha doesn't seem bad. He may be sus. But I love them both. Ironically Luocha seems to favor healing Welt more then the ladies in the team. But that's cause Welt is a bit squish. It's like I always feel guilty putting characters that don't get along together. For example Hu Tao and Baizhu. Hu Tao doesn't care for him. Baizhu puts up with her. Hu Tao and Qiqi are also iffy. But Hu Tao needs someone to keep her from going into her own coffin.

I just wanna think he is sus but the end of his quest to get the “Coffin Dance” achievement made me feel like a clown!
