Ugh that was so formal ew annyywayy I would like bungou stray dogs head cannons for Atsushi, Dazai, Chuuya with a s/o that is gen-z in general like for example if dazai asked to do double sewer slide this then they will ok uld just say "no❤" Or they'd just throw meme references at them for no reason you see what I mean? Like just random chaos, hope this isn't to long ^^'

Atsushi seems like the type to be up to date on the memes, mainly because you’re always referencing them

He just would rather feign ignorance with them though LOL

He doesn’t mind them though since he does care about you and it’s just part of your personality at this point

Dazai

Wants to be hip and cool with the youngins these days, ya know? even though he’s also pretty young

Out of everyone in this group, I think he’d be the type to meme with you tbh

He’ll probably be really bad at it though

If you were to call him that, chances are he’s going to be like ??? excuse me what tf did you just call me

Then you refuse to explain to him what it is and he ends up having to look it up himself

I wasn’t sure if you meant this in a “how they met” kind of way, or how they would be with them, so I did change up the style of writing to explain how they did meet. Let me know what you think!

Human fem!S/o ( Chaotic )

It was usually children wielding strange devices that visited Perim. Every being in the six tribes knew of the otherworldly visitors meddling or assisting sides on a whim, asking for only a still image in return. They were odd but ultimately harmless. 

There were a few odd rumors though. Why would only children ever visit, if not for the lack of adults? Some individuals claimed to have seen full grown humans yet were dismissed for seeking cryptic creatures that did not exist. 

It caused quite a stir when one finally was spotted in the middle of the city of all places. 

Chaor

How in the world the two had become friends was entirely up for debate. If asked, (Name) would tell the story of how she had been minding her own business chasing after some brat players attempting to destroy part of the tunnel system when she had collided with him. And, unlike most creatures in Perim, Chaor had been smart enough to steal away her scanner to get her to help him on a short term “project.” She had (begrudgingly), and he surprisingly upheld his end of the bargain, though it hadn’t stopped him from finding some reason to request her presence on one thing or another. 

If asked, Chaor would crush the fool dumb enough to imply that he has friends (even though it is true).

Neither is entirely sure when or how they started to form any friendship though. (Name) found herself returning to the Underworld more and more, often running into none other than Chaor, while the latter noticed that he seemed more alert about when the human arrived in his domain. It helped that unlike many creatures in Perim he held no odd superstitions about humans. Humans are dangerous, sneaky and capable of being warriors when they felt like it. She was no different. And he treated her as such. 

As their friendship gets to grow closer, they do spend time together - both in and outside of combat situations. Yea, I can see Chaor dragging his human into a few missions - humans are resourceful, he’d be an idiot to not recognize that. Besides, any creature that came too close to her met a painful fate at his hands. “She is not yours to take.” For she is mine is the half he always thinks, never says. Yet it’s the time spent in down hours that make her start to feel something. For a king who is deadset on being the most intense warrior out there, he rules the kingdom fairly well. He understands the spirit of his people and truly seeks better conditions for them - Kiru City and the Overworld would give them access to resources they badly needed. Scrape away at the outer, very real face of a warrior, and there is a leader. One wiser than people think. 

Chaor throws her in for a loop though. It’s sudden, and strange. They’re at one of the rare Underworld feasts - their enemies are beaten and the rewards are reaped by the tribe tonight. (Name) is drinking and feasting alongside the rest of them, roaring in laughter when a heavy red hand is on her shoulder. She hasn’t a clue that he’s been staring at her ever since she started to laugh. All she knows is that his grin, the grin he gets whenever he’s realized something, is all over his face and his arm is pulling her close to his side. His entire arm engulfs her and keeps her there as he raises his mug to her.

“To my little human.” A declaration. 

Maxxor

To be completely frank, she was just interested in exploring Perim. Ever since she had found out the truth about Chaotic, (Name) had barely spent any time playing the actual game. This whole time there was an entirely parallel world to Earth and she was supposed to focus on scanning stuff when there was a whole place to see? No! Actually, well, she did have to scan a few things on occasion to defend her reputation, but beyond that it was all exploration!

Their first encounter had been entirely by accident. She had been meandering through the markets, taking in the sights of Kiru City unaware of the attention she was getting. Human adults are unheard of in Perim after all. However, it’s not until she wanders too close to the training grounds that a shadow looms over her. “I don’t believe we’ve met. Who are you?” Maxxor was recognizable - any player knew him on sight. There is a difference though in seeing the card versus seeing the person. The card doesn’t have a smooth voice or eyes full of intrigue. 

Catching herself staring, she said her name and explained how she was curious about- about everything really! Sub-tribes, history, food, art - oh their stories- the second (Name) spotted a library she was going to read the shit out of those books. That had taken him aback. Humans traditionally wanted to scan. They did not seek to understand Perim or the people who lived in it. Seeing such genuine curiosity from a human was different and refreshing. 

That day had sparked a fast friendship between the two, built on mutual curiosity for each other’s worlds. Busy or not Maxxor always had time for her during her visits. They could talk well into the night, sharing stories of wonder with the other while enjoying each other’s company. On days where things were quiet they talked while wandering through the city as Maxxor showed her the sights of his home. With each visit, he found it becoming harder and harder to end them, wanting them to last a bit longer, to hear their voice and enjoy their laughter for one minute longer. Yet he says nothing. She has told him of the human world, what wonders it has and what life she leads in it. He could not be selfish enough to ask her to tie herself to him. Her friendship was enough to sustain these feelings of longing - it was the lie Maxxor found himself believing less with each passing day. 

Little did he know a certain human felt deeply for him too. And unlike him, selfishness isn’t something she’s concerned about.

A faint image of Dazai’s features reflected off of the river beneath him as a sigh slipped past his lips. His thoughts were drowned with memories of the past—his past with them. He remembered all the happy memories they made together, the time he fell deeply in love with them, even the times they scolded him for his suicide attempts.

They weren’t there to scold him this time.

“Dazai, this is the fourth time I had to save your ass from dying,” y/n admonished the tall male.

“Am I actually dead? I mean, I see this angel right in front of me.”

“I’m flattered, but unfortunately, no. You already know how much I despise your huge desire to die.”

“But would you still despise it if we were to have a double suicide together?” He cheerfully questioned them, and backed away from the ledge.

Y/n glared at him, clearly irritated.

“Dazai no.”

“But y/n—”

“You can’t die,” they interrupted, and plainly stated in a serious tone as they looked away from him.

Those three words took him by surprise, considering this was his first time seeing them so seriously upset. He didn’t know how to respond. Was it from shock? Or was it from the sudden realization of the feelings that have blossomed the past few weeks? He couldn’t tell.

Unexpectedly, the silence was broken by the lovely voice of the person standing in front of him.

“Dazai, promise me you won’t die because dying means you’ll be leaving me behind.”

The sudden long pause from him worried them as they waited for his response.

“I promise, but on one condition.”

“What is it?”

“Promise to stay by my side too.”

He didn’t want to lose them.

“Always.”

He never realized he loved them more than anything.

He didn’t break that promise, yet they broke it in the end.

“Y/n, you left me behind all this time.” Tears welled up in his eyes before nearing the edge of the bridge, “I still promised not to leave you though, and I don’t plan on breaking that promise.”

Dazai took a deep breath before he attempted to soon join the one he loved.

“I’ll be by your side. Always.”

They had been sent on a mission just a month ago, yet they still haven’t returned. Chuuya had hoped that they were safe and sound, and that the mission was just taking a while because of how Mori decided to send them off alone.

“It would surely be a miracle if I finished this mission up quickly, and got home sooner,” Y/n said as they slowly approached their worried boyfriend.

Chuuya knew the only person who would be able to complete this mission is Y/n, but he can’t help but feel anxious about what might happen.

“Hey, if you ever need any help while you’re away, just give me a call and I’ll try to get there as quickly as I can,” he said protectively, trying not to think of what could possibly happen to them without him there.

“Trust me, I’ll be fine, so don’t worry about it. I know I’ll be gone for a long while, but I’ll make sure I come back safe and sound.”

“Alright, I’ll trust you on that,” he said before pulling them into a tight embrace, and bidding them goodbye.

Where is that miracle when he needed it?

He walked through their shared apartment, glancing at everything he’d pass by. He called out their name, hoping there would be a response, but there wasn’t.

“I really wish you were around right now, Y/n.” He sighed while getting ready to go to bed.

Why is the sound of their name making him feel anxious?

I need you right now

The lack of warmth, and the huge space to his left bothered him. He can’t help but feel disturbed by not being able to feel their presence nearby.

Why aren’t they there when he needed them?

I really thought you were on my side

But now there’s nobody by my side

He thought of all the happy memories they made together. He remembered the day they both promised that they would never leave each other’s side.

The beautiful sound of his significant other’s laughter resonated throughout.

“Thanks for not leaving me behind back there. I thought Dazai would never leave me alone,” they chuckled as they continued to walk next to Chuuya.

“I mean, I can’t let that shitty mackerel be anywhere near you, or I would have to kill him. Besides, I did tell you that I would always be by your side, so don’t worry.”

“Haha, you sure about that?”

“Yes, I guarantee I’ll always be there for you no matter what.”

“Then I promise I’ll always be by your side as well!”

He remembered that promise was one he could never forget.

Why isn’t there anyone by his side now?

I think I’m losing my mind now

He felt completely empty and alone without them.

He refused to believe that anything bad happened to them. He continued to hope that they would someday be there next to him again. He wanted to be able to tease them for the dumbest reasons, or even have them snuggle against him and talk about their days again.

Is he starting to lose his mind?

Don’t let me down

He finally accepted the possibility of what could’ve happened to them. I mean, they should’ve been back by now since the most this mission would’ve lasted would be about a month, and it’s been 3 months since he has last seen them. Thoughts of guilt, and how he could’ve helped them if they actually called him flooded his mind. He felt he should’ve looked for them, and tried to help but he didn’t.

“I trusted you, y/n,” he thought before letting his emotions get to him.

He couldn’t help but remember the last words they said before they left.

“Don’t worry, I won’t let you down.”

Why did they let him down in the end?

Nakajima Atsushi: I feel like he’d be more on the homemade gift side. Maybe a picture frame he personalized with a picture of him & his s/o in it, or a jar filled with little positivity notes for his s/o.

Dazai Osamu: Lots of valentine’s balloons just to mess w/ his s/o, and a giant stuffed bear go big or go home

Kunikida Doppo: He’d want his s/o’s gift to be perfect, so probably some flowers, and maybe a necklace?

Izumi Kyouka: She’d probably ask Atsushi to help her make homemade gifts, and make paper rabbits with little paper hearts

Edogawa Ranpo: A SHIT TON OF SWEETS tbh I feel like he’d give his s/o all these sweets just so they can give them to him. He’d appreciate it tho its ok bc he luvs his sweets

Tanizaki Junichiro: He’d cook his s/o’s favorite dish for them, and maybe give them a cute lil plush

Tanizaki Naomi: She’d ask her brother to help her bake a cake for her s/o

Yosano Akiko: She’d buy her s/o any clothes that they want. buys everything they see in the stores

Fukuzawa Yukichi: Cat plushie holding one of those lil hearts or like a legit cat, either one works

Akutagawa Ryunosuke: He’d think it’s dumb to give his s/o gifts on Valentine’s day because shouldn’t they be satisfied with just having him around on this day? (And almost everyday)

Nakahara Chuuya: I feel like he’d get his s/o the most cliché things, such as a box of chocolates, flowers, plushies, hIS LOVE & AFFECTION

Mori Ougai: He’d spoil the absolute shit out of you—want new clothes? He’ll get an entire store-full. Plushies? He’d get you 50. Death? NO PROBLEM.

Ozaki Kouyou: I feel like she’d bake valentine’s sweets for her s/o

Kajii Motojiro: I feel like this lil weenie would forget it was Valentine’s day and would get you a last minute gift. Probably a lemon tbh, and he’ll spice it up by drawing a heart on it

Higuchi Ichiyou: Like Ozaki, I feel like she’d also try to bake sweets

Possible reasons why Akutagawa has no eyebrows

A/N:  LMAO I WAS BORED, SO I THOUGHT OF THE DUMBEST REASONS.

Here are some reasons why I think Ryunosuke Akutagawa has no eyebrows:

Gin shaved them off because she was jealous of how luscious they probably looked

When Rashomon was a hat (there’s a possibility since Rashomon can take on any type of garment), it probably hated his eyebrows so it had to make them disappear somehow  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Rashomon probably protected everything except Akutagawa’s eyebrows tbh

Wanted to be edgy, so he shaved them off himself

Thought Dazai would notice him if he shaved them off since he hated his eyebrows or he dared him to do it

Wanted to prove people wrong when they thought he wouldn’t dare touch his precious eyebrows
