Someone who had good intentions has already started to search for C++'s live footage. Jiuwan also urgently searched for it, but the more he searched, the more strange he found it -- If C++ was indeed handicapped, how was he able to study the Boss's mechanism so thoroughly? If he really couldn't operate at a level with high difficulty, then how was he able to guide newcomers to navigate through danger without any pressure?

hi, just wanna say that without the essays and analysis people as you have published here, I wouldn't love Kiro as much as I do nowadays, he's my precious sunshine. I don't really expect anything from Papergames as a company, so I'm keeping my little treasures regardless of what's gonna come out of it in the end. do you plan in the future to explain what you think ended up going downhill with the direction of the game you have briefly mentioned?

Hello @ladyjune26! Thanks for the ask and being so very patient with me on answering. Here are the major complaints/pet peeves I have with what Papergames has done and continues to do to lessen my love of the game and their treatment of Kiro as a main love interest: *WARNING* LOTS OF RANTING AHEAD

Kiro always being the "odd one out of the bunch" in regards to karmas: Honestly, why did Papergames think it was a good idea to do this? I can tell which love interest they favor most over Kiro just from looking at the karma illustrations during group events. It's almost like they use a different filter on them or use a different artist completely to draw his karmas cuz his stick out like a sore thumb. A perfect example would be from last year's Xmas/New Year's event (Modern Rhapsody) where all the guys get stylish hairstyles and Kiro gets the short end of the stick. They forgot he's a main love interest and now he's just an afterthought. Another example is the Valentine's event where all the guys get kiss karmas and say "I love you". All the guys have open-mouth kisses with their eyes open and once again they don't do that with Kiro. IS IT REALLY THAT DIFFICULT TO BE CONSISTENT!?!?! MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!! Plus, why can't they ever draw MC in gorgeous outfits or hot and intimate scenes with Kiro? She constantly looks plain and boring in many of them. Her relationship with Kiro is no longer friends anymore. THEY'RE LOVERS!!! Also, no creativity. There's a lot of karmas where they draw the same old stuff in them like a teddy bear, daisies, sunflowers....COME ON!!! THOSE AREN'T THE ONLY THINGS GOING FOR HIM!!! 'The Versatile King' my ass!!! Don't make statements like those if you can't even fulfill them. If they need ideas for karmas I have plenty...no wait, they already used them for the other love interests which leads to the next point.

Kiro has been reduced to a minor character/NPC role: In season 1 main story, Kiro had the least amount of screen time. I remember a Weibo post where a CN player calculated how much total screen time he had and it was 80 minutes! I haven't exactly tested if this was true but I've seen many CN fans mention this. Also, throughout season 1, his major plot points were all put into Rumors and Secrets and they're still doing it in season 2. And don't get me started on how much repetitiveness on certain aspects of his character...ISTG, I'VE NEVER SEEN SO MANY METAPHORS ABOUT A BEAR IN MY LIFE!!! Starting to see the pattern now?

Nothing gets changed when Kiro fans address issues: There was a time when during one of Gavin's bday karmas, his fans were hounding customer service to add the gingko bracelet to MC's wrist and within a very short period of time, it was done. However, whenever Kiro fans want something changed, nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, gets done. A while back, there was a magazine advertising the game and for some very strange reason, they typed Kiro's name wrong and his birthdate. The entire Weibo page was just post after post about it. There's no excuse for such a small mistake which could have easily been avoided.

His karmas are released last: Whether it's the Fragrant Sunshine ERs, solo Wish Tree events, or in general, Kiro tends to be the last one scheduled. So far, he has not had a single free SR/SSR karma this year and it's already July. When the first kiss karmas were released several years ago, Kiro was once again the last one released.

Storyline and character arc: Are they ever going to address how Kiro can change into his silver-haired Helios form? Why does he have those markings on his right arm and how can they appear and disappear whenever? Is he ever going to find his master KEY? Why does Kiro look so much like his master KEY who was the previous Helios? Does that mean KEY also had blue eyes? What is this mission they keep teasing about? HELL, HIS ORIGINS!?!? There's been no story development whatsoever and they keep reusing the same stuff in the chapters. What happened to all that awesome character development in the first half of season 2? Crumbs keep dropping but it leads to nowhere. Here's a hot take: Westmoon had a much better, cohesive story overall. I am forever sad that it's over. If it isn't already obvious, the writers are heavily milking the main story. As much as I don't like season 1, at least it was more entertaining and mysterious especially when MC "died" and ended up in Winter World where all the love interests didn't know her. They should have continued from there. It would have been interesting to see how the relationships developed and MC ended up staying despite everything? Did she have to go back to the "main world"? There's just too many questions or maybe I'm being too analytical.

That's pretty much all the major issues I've come across. There are others but I've done enough nit-picking. However, don't let my opinions sway your enjoyment of the game. If you still like it, then please by all means, continue to play. Hope you have a wonderful day and take care!

Kevin is an adoptee from korea and canada, he never knew his parents or siblings. He was forunate though to find a home in new orleans

but all that glitters isnt gold as the family was distant, the only solice was the adventures of tintin. since then he wanted to be a dectetive

He had new friends too in the forms of niko and jesse

But when both died for a time he felt lost going deep into weird creatures

werewolves, vampires, all that....it was hard to decipher the trith. grief makes it hard to believe

mothman, bigfoot, and the loch ness monster seemed like the real enemies and easier to digest

Kevin did become a traffic cop, his first encounter with Choi Taejin, a man he thought was pretty cool. A fellow Korean who takes no shit

There was surprise when TJ was demoted to mall cop, and he was promted upwards

The conseuqnces though were very high, as he was assigned to be patrol on the full moon. he was attacked, a set of teeth and awakened in the hospital

It was countless hours, surgeries, and medication for nights straight, he couldn't give a a concrete answer

Now in a wheelchair, he was back in action, but he still feels something weird happened to him.

Personality:

Very chill guy, tends not to express his problems. toxic positivity for leg mauling

Feeling a bit paranoid and exhausted, but will do his best to be there with others.

Might be a bit girl crazy and tech savy.

i gotta say, honestly—that last part left me kinda emotional.

but in that final part where he reached out and asked for forgiveness and a second chance when your paths cross again … SHEEEEEEEESH i felt that in bones. manly moment.

in the end, you were left with two final choices. after much debate and thought, kiro came up with two official endings:

the true ending, and the secret-but-not-really-secret ending.

secret ending sounds cool, but it’s really not a secret, since they’re quite literally being posted at the same time. but she had no other name for it, so secret ending will have to do.

let me break these endings down for you, without spoiling too much! i think kiro would throw me into a dumpster if i happened to spoil too much. 🥶

so, the true ending.

well, you forgive him.

yeah, that’s pretty much the extent to what i’m allowed to say.

she calls it the “true” ending because the smau is an iwaizumi x f!reader series, so she thought it would be a little awkward to end the series with you and him not ending up together.

and yes, this is the true ending. now don’t be calling y/n a loser or stupid for forgiving him, she was a girlboss all series long. 😠

the secret ending was made because kiro understands that for many, any kind of infidelity—physical or emotional—is something they would never forgive. she herself would probably never forgive iwaizumi either, honestly.

so, if it wasn’t obvious already, the secret ending will follow an epilogue where you, in fact, do not forgive him. you kick him to the curb, and continue on with your life. this is where your and his story ends.

but yeah, that sums it up! both epilogues will start out the same, but you’ll be able to read for yourself when they start branching off to their respective endings. it’s pretty cool, i must say.

Kiro’s Rumors and Secrets: Behind the Door (门扉之后）Season 2 Ch. 30-33 Translation [CN]

***WARNING*** THIS POST CONTAINS HEAVY SPOILERS FOR CONTENT NOT YET RELEASED ON EN SERVER!!! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!***

For this R&S, it’s not necessary to read the new chapter first. However, I suggest having some tissues nearby because I was a complete mess towards the end. I won’t say much but this R&S is all I could ever ask for and I’m wondering why it wasn’t released 2-3 years ago. I was literally screaming when I read the first few sentences and I’m sure Kiro stans will be very satisfied as well. I know I sound like a broken record every time new Kiro content is released but this R&S definitely deserves to be in my top 5 favorite R&S. Once again the writing is *chef’s kiss*.

At last, he pushed open the cold, heavy door and took the first step called bravery.

[Chapter 1]

Within the depths of consciousness, sharp bursts of repeated knocks could be heard.

The boy vaguely remembered the sound. In the laboratory, the thumping noises were often accompanied by the chilling sound of medical instruments. Soon after, a man in a white coat will look for another place to stick the needle into his arm which was already full of pinholes…

Thinking of this, his body shuddered uncontrollably. His eyes flew open—

Bright sunlight peeked in through the gaps between the curtains, casting a halo around the bay window. The familiar and numbing smell of disinfectant seemed to have evaporated, replaced by a faint sweet fragrance in the air.

The boy gave a few sniffs and looked around him dully until he saw a man from the corner of his eye sitting with his back facing him.

He gripped the sheets under him.

What is this place? Why…am I here?

The boy tried to recall what happened, but his mind was in a chaotic mess. He couldn’t remember anything. Only a vague and gentle voice of comfort from a little girl.

“You’re awake?”

The sudden voice startled him and the boy sat up in a panic. At the same time, the man with silver hair and strange black markings on his arm stood up from his seat and came towards him.

A face he had never seen before made his heart beat faster. Every part of his body was on high alert.

“Don’t be afraid. There’s no one here to hurt you.”

Sensing the boy’s fear, the man smiled and stopped a few steps away from the bed, “Does it hurt anywhere? Are you hungry?”

He was used to the unconcerned reprimands in the orphanage but this soft and tentative voice surprised the boy for a moment. However, this didn’t soothe him for long. The unfamiliar environment continued to wreak havoc on his nerves.

He lowered his head and frantically fumbled around with his hands, trying to find the bear that was always with him. As long as he holds it, it won’t be so painful.

Except the bear is gone.

A hollow feeling settled in his heart and he felt like he was falling. Trying to grab hold of something, he clenched and unclenched his fingers as he rubbed his thighs together, faster and faster.

The fragile skin quickly turned red and it burned.

But he still felt like he was about to suffocate.

[Chapter 2]

“What’s wrong?”

The man’s mouth opened and closed as if he wanted to say something else.

There was a buzzing in the boy’s ears. All sounds became ethereal. His eyes kept darting at every corner of the room—

But the bear was nowhere in sight. Did it get thrown away…?

He bit his lip and wanted to ask this man to return the bear to him. If he did, he’ll behave.

When he turned his head to ask, the man was standing in a corner talking on the phone in a low voice. A few words drifted over to him.

“His reaction was more severe than expected……sedatives? Is that necessary?”

Instinctively, the boy’s hand jerked and his fingernail left a long scratch on his pale thigh.

“Sedatives” are bad things because of the memories that came with them. They involved needles.

Almost immediately, he felt his arms ache and beads of cold sweat ooze from his forehead.

Is he getting another injection? Is the man angry because he “misbehaved” just now?

That’s right, as long as he behaves, he won’t be beaten or scolded nor will he be held down for an injection. The boy kept telling himself to be good.

So, he pressed his trembling legs tightly together along with those little hands on top, trying his best to appear well-behaved.

He doesn’t want any more injections. They hurt too much.

From the corner of his eye, the man put away his phone. His body jolted on reflex. But the man didn’t approach him. As if remembering something, he walked to the window and reached out his hand to open the half-closed curtain.

Sunlight flooded into the room making the boy squint his eyes.

“Little guy, is this what you were looking for?”

On the windowsill, a little bear sat quietly under the sunshine. The boy recognized his bear instantly. His tearful eyes widened.

“Sorry, I had it bask in the sun without asking your permission.”

The man casually shrugged and then went back to the computer. For a while, there was only the sound of tapping from the computer in the room.

The boy glanced at the man with his back to him. He quickly ran to the window, grabbed the bear, and went back to the bed.

The little bear was warm from the sun and even his body became warm.

Maybe it was because he found the bear or perhaps he realized that this man meant him no harm, the boy slightly raised his head again, staring at this strange man.

Who is he? Did he bring him here?

Sensing his gaze, the man turned around. He shook violently and hugged the bear closer to him.

“I’m called KEY.” The man gave him a heart-warming smile.

“It’s very safe here. No one will hurt you.”

As though he didn’t hear him, the boy looked down at the bear in his arms, leaned in close to its ear and whispered quietly in his heart—

Sorry, I almost lost you.

[Chapter 3]

Time passed slowly for half a month.

The boy’s attitude towards the man, who he was fearful of at first, gradually turned into confusion.

Because back at the orphanage, when everyone found out that he was “mute”, no one wanted to talk to him anymore. But this man called KEY didn’t seem to care and even found all kinds of delicious food for him every day. Like today, for example—

After looking at all the food on the table, the boy silently reached out his hand towards the chocolate-covered cake.

“There’s nothing you can’t eat so feel free to have whatever you want. After all, a well-fed kid is a happy one.”

The boy didn’t speak. He silently glanced at the paper cup KEY was holding—he drinks it every day so surely it must taste good?

He thought KEY wouldn’t notice his small movements, but in the next second, the paper cup was placed in front of him.

“Wanna try?”

The boy took a cautious sip. The bitter taste instantly hit his tongue. It reminded him of the dark and bitter medicine he had been forced to drink many times in the past. He hurriedly put the cup back down with a frown on his face.

“That’s a rare sight to see.” KEY smiled and put a hamburger into his hands, “Go on and eat it, it’s delicious.”

An irresistible aroma wafted from the burger. The boy’s gaze shifted to another place as he took a bite of the burger in his hand. In the next moment, his cheeks were quickly stuffed.

“You like it? Eat as much as you want.”

The boy contemplated, reaching out for the cake, salad….anything he could get his hands on.

“Save me a plate…” KEY shook his head with a laugh and took another sip of coffee.

Such peaceful times, day after day.

The boy felt the fear gripping his heart slowly begin to fade but in addition to this, KEY wanted to give him more—

“Little guy, you’re always staying in your room and holding your bear every day. Aren’t you bored?”

“This is your home. You can go wherever you want to.”

The boy didn’t know what “home” meant but he was a little curious about exploring outside the room.

So the following day, he quietly opened the door but bumped into KEY as he was walking in. Seeing KEY’s surprised look, he froze as if he had done something bad. But the scolding he was expecting never came. KEY only smiled at him and turned sideways to let him pass.

At this moment, the boy suddenly realized—KEY never wanted to lock him up.

It turned out that this big place is called “home”.

Since then, the boy’s range of activities extended to the rest of the house.

He would run to the study room and look at the various cartoon models of KEY’s collection on the bookshelf. He would also sit on the bay window and look out at the rows of residential buildings and flower beds down below.

Now and then, birds flapped their wings as they flew off towards the horizon…slowly, a small seed began to take root inside the boy’s heart.

Until finally, one morning when KEY was out, he decided to take a little peek of what it was like behind the door.

He took a deep breath and walked to the door, slowly reaching for the lock…

With a click, the door opened easily.

Before he even realized it, one foot was already over the threshold. The boy looked up and saw the long staircase ahead.

If he kept walking along here, will he be able to truly see the world beyond?

The boy just stood there silently for a long time until a long whistle came from across the street. Without knowing, his body trembled. He withdrew his foot, closed the door, and quickly ran back to his room.

That night, the boy had many dreams—

A little girl whose face he couldn’t make out stood in a sea of flowers, smiling at him. But the moment he ran towards her, the flowers and the girl suddenly disappeared, and he found himself lying on that all-too familiar and ice-cold operating table. He also heard mournful cries of despair…it sounded like voices of other companions.

He was back again…

The boy shut his eyes in fear but KEY’S figure appeared again and again in the darkness. A strong emotion he couldn’t understand rose up. Almost at the same time, the boy opened his eyes, struggling to get off the operating table, and ran out.

He wants to go back. Back to that warm place.

Before, the boy thought the world was so cold and bleak, except for the little bear. The warmth he had had was short-lived.

But it’s different now. He has a place called home. He loves it more than sweets and cakes.

So he kept running faster and faster until he finally found a glimmer of light at the end. Without thinking any further, he took a step and rushed in…

When he opened his eyes again, a milky white ceiling came into view along with something fluffy in his arms. It seemed to be telling him that what happened just now was only a dream.

But the lingering terror from the nightmare made him unable to close his eyes. Maybe he should check to make sure.

Hugging the bear tightly, he quietly pushed open the door to KEY’s room.

Looking at KEY sleeping, the boy reached out his little hand and lightly touched his cheek. It was so soft and so warm.

It really was only a dream just now. This is real.

But for some reason, the boy’s heart became astringent and warm, like a bird flying in the wind and rain until it finally found a warm nest where it could sleep peacefully.

“Did you have a bad dream?”

A soft voice came to him and the boy noticed that KEY had woken up. Under the moonlight, he saw a pair of gentle eyes looking back at him which made him nod his head vigorously.

KEY couldn’t help but smile. He patted the space next to him, “Come here. I’ll tell you a story. Then, you won’t be so scared.”

The boy stood there, hesitating.

But KEY didn’t force him.

He knew that it would take a lot of courage for the child to trust others again. Therefore, he will wait patiently.

At last, clutching the bear in his arms the boy carefully laid down beside KEY. He huddled into a tiny ball under the quilt, only his moist blue eyes were peeking out underneath.

KEY felt the softest part of his heart being touched. After tucking the boy into the quilt, he laid back down.

“Let me tell you the story of Papa Bear and Little Bear…”

KEY spoke earnestly and the boy listened with rapt attention. After a while, the boy felt drowsy. He closed his eyes and moved closer to him as though he was seeking warmth.

The corner of KEY’s mouth lifted up. In the next second, he seemed to hear a soft and somewhat hoarse murmur. He couldn’t help holding his breath—

For the first time, the boy said his name.

[Chapter 4]

Today, the weather was fine which was rare. When the boy woke up, the sun was almost in the middle of the sky. The door to the living room rang and he heard KEY calling to him.

“Get up, little guy. I brought your favorite cake and hamburger.”

The boy stepped over the bear cotton mop that KEY bought for him, opened the door and stuck his head out. His eyes lit up when he saw the colorful paper bag in his hand. Suddenly, the doorbell rang.

For more than a month, no one else has ever come to the house. The boy couldn’t help but grab onto KEY’s clothes.

The easy-going smile on the man’s lips disappeared and his eyes showed a rare coldness as he stared at the door.

Seeing him show this expression for the first time, the boy shivered. Sensing his fear, KEY lowered his head. The coldness he had just now was replaced with a smile as he placed the paper bag into the boy’s hands and patted his head.

“Don’t be afraid. It’s just a guest. You go eat in your room and don’t come out.”

The boy could tell that the “guest” outside was unkind so he nodded obediently and hurried back to his room. As soon as the door closed, he immediately set down the bag and tiptoed closer to the door, putting his ear next to it. After a while, he could hear KEY and another person talking—

“You should know how dangerous that test subject’s powers are.”

Test subject? …..Powers?

The words filled his heart with fear once more. The boy stretched out his shaking hand and carefully cracked open the door. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw KEY and an unfamiliar man standing face-to-face in the study room. Although he couldn’t see the other person’s face, the stranger appeared to be the same ones from the orphanage, exuding a subtle cold malice.

“….3684 is vital to our research. You must hand him over this instant!”

Those familiar numbers consumed his heart like a big ice cube. A chill instantly spread throughout his body.

It turns out that KEY, like those people, had to lock him up as well.

But he did it in a gentle way.

[Chapter 5]

Scattered rays of sunlight fell over the boy's body but he felt himself being engulfed in a cold black mist.

How could KEY be a bad person…

The boy bit his lip hard and wandered around the room in a daze. The familiar scenery here seemed to have turned into a monster with a mouth full of grinning sharp teeth, ready to devour him.

He felt as if he had gone back to that tiny dark room. Whether he was hiding under the quilt or under the table, that fear of falling into an ice cellar was always surrounding him.

Until he saw the little cabinet in the corner.

The cabinet was small and he didn’t know if he could squeeze inside but he just wanted to escape from here. So he took the bear and got in.

For a moment, it seemed like there was just him and the bear in his arms in the world. In the oxygen-deficient darkness, the boy felt a sense of security slowly returning to his body. This dark and narrow space was his only haven.

He closed his eyes and didn’t think about anything else.

He didn’t know how much time had passed until the sound of footsteps slowly came into the room. The boy recognized them as KEY’s footsteps when he walked.

Burying his head between his knees, the boy suppressed the whimper in his throat but he couldn’t stop the tears welling up in his eyes. A heavy, cold stone weighed down on his mind about to crush his already fragile heart.

Soon afterwards, the footsteps faded away and he raised his head in a daze, listening carefully to their movements—

KEY walking around the living room. A door opening and closing. Finally, he heard the tapping of a keyboard. It was the most comforting sound he heard in days.

Before long, the footsteps gradually came closer again, stopping right outside the cabinet door. The boy held his breath. His rumbling heart stirred up unknown complex emotions.

He wanted KEY to open the door but at the same time, he hoped he wouldn’t…

After a long time, a muffled but familiar voice came through the cabinet door.

“Little guy, were you…listening?”

The boy didn’t answer. A light sigh came from outside the door.

“Remember what I said, no one’s going to hurt you. I won't hurt you either.”

“You have a very strong power inside you. This power can release you from your shackles and you can be free.”

Hearing this, the boy’s eyelashes quivered slightly as he opened his eyes.

…Can he really be free?

As if answering his thoughts, KEY’s voice came from outside the door again.

“But it’s going to be a long, hard journey. You must be patient and endure all the hardships along the way.”

“I can teach you many things and help you become strong. As long as you’re willing to take the first step, you can leave everything else to me.”

“Because you’re not alone anymore.”

With such a kind voice, the boy couldn’t help but be reminded of that night when he was haunted by nightmares. That night was the most peaceful sleep he ever had.

Even the hot sun can’t compare to that little warmth inside the quilt.

Thinking of this, the boy helplessly looked down at the little bear in his arms.

Do you want to go outside? The little bear didn’t respond but the boy lifted his lips a little as if he knew the answer.

The next second, he raised his hand.

Slowly, a beam of light broke through the darkness. The boy saw KEY kneeling in front of the cabinet, smiling at him.

The boy tried to get out but it was too small. He struggled for a while and ended up falling back into the narrow darkness.

At the same time, a large hand reached out and gently held the boy’s wrist, pulling him out from the small, cramped world—

Then, a sudden warmth embraced him.

In his memory, the only “hug” he had was with a friend whose name he didn’t know back at the orphanage.

Without knowing why, warm tears spilled out from his eyes and the boy quickly wiped them away with the back of his hand.

Because good, well-behaved children can’t cry.

But KEY just rubbed the boy’s back and said in a steady, soft voice, “Go on and cry. Don’t worry about being loud.”

“This is your home. You can cry or laugh as much as you want. You are free.”

As if touching the most vulnerable place in the boy’s heart, at this very moment, he could no longer hold it in anymore.

His little hands tightly clutched KEY’s back, crying loudly, as if letting go all the pain he suffered in the past.

KEY didn’t say anything, only patting his back tenderly, over and over again.

Until the boy had no more tears left to cry, he slowly lifted his head and saw how embarrassing he looked in KEY’s eyes. He gave a shy laugh.

“Silly boy, laughing while crying.”

KEY couldn’t help laughing either as he lightly tapped the tip of the boy’s nose and hugged him even tighter.

After a while, he heard KEY softly say to him—

“From now on, you are just you.”

“The number 3684 doesn’t sound good at all. Let’s give you a name.”

“An irreplaceable name that belongs only to you.” ***And that’s how Kiro’s identity came to be***

MLDD server shut down and "compensation" [Link to full tweet]

It is finally happening.

Mldd will officially shut down on June 6th and all our data will be wiped. Can't say I didn't see this coming but it still hurts. That's 2 years worth of our effort and money gone down the drain.

We have the option to transfer our gems over to a newly created mlqc account along with some "bonus" gifts based on our vip exp...and that's it. I will be getting gift III which is 1500gems, 10 galaxy wish, 10 sunrise wish, vip trial and some mats. I rather keep my karmas than gems tho. The compensation as they call it is not enough to cover the cost of 1 SSR unless you get lucky with the wish tree.

Some of the things I am sad about losing are my karma collection, 31 SSRs (15 are Kiro's), archive of Kiro's rumors and secrets (weirdly I love R&S and I'm actually upset about this), top 50 shine like stars rank, limited avatar frames, unlocked outfits, story dates, game progression and cn voiceovers. I know others who will be losing more than me and I can only imagine how they must be feeling rn.

I wasn't sure if I want to start over again. I thought I should just install it at the very least to be able to transfer my gems while deciding if I should quit. So anyway I messed around for quite a bit and I think I understand why some players left for mlqc. The functions are more intuitive and there was so much more story content. Then I checked out Kiro's birthday event and when I saw the bday karma...I got a little emotional. 2 years is too short and I was not ready to say goodbye to Kiro and the other guys. I'm talking about a bunch of pixels like they are real but it was what kept me going sometimes. I decided to stick around for a while and I speed ran the first few chapters until I had enough dawn wishes for a free 10 pull. And guess what. I'm not bluffing, I have it recorded on video. The very first karma and out comes...Kiro SSR whisk you away. I dunno if this is the smart thing to do but I am taking this as a sign to stay and start a new journey.

As a mldd player who has never installed mlqc and took extreme measures to avoid spoilers for some time, loading the game and discovering the differences for the first time...is an experience.

Quick summary, these are my first impressions:

We get the choice of 1 SR from the start. Seen this before on mldd but it was during a later update. I wasn't aware it was for new players which is nice.

Thought I was stuck with the old interface until later chapters reveal the other version which was the same as mldd. Huge relief. The default terrace background is nice too.

There's definitely more QOL functions like "claim all" button for dailies and friends stamina.

More convenient ways of obtaining mats from the karma page

Didn't like the auto complete 10 mats. I prefer a smaller number like 5 in mldd. Then again there are other ways to go about this like the quick remake button.

Profile page lets you write a short bio and display 4 karmas. That's neat.

House feature. This deserves its own post.

The shop and gem exchange. Like I said I love R&S a lot so right away I noticed hourglass costs real money, not gems. Sad. I calculated the gem exchange and found it costs a little bit more. Vip costs the same even after conversion surprisingly.

New types of karmas. Not sure how they all work yet.

24hr challenge is literally a challenge with so many missing karmas.

I juat finished the chapter 17 and i can't help but cry😓😔 so i was wandering if you actually know why and when Kiro became Helios? And also in the Rumor & secret: snooper of kiro (you can find it on youtube) who was the person who was the narrator of the story? I kinda though that it was key! But i'm not so sure! Please clear my doubts!!!

watch the universe expand- a long, rambly attempt to explore lucien’s character and also evolutionary biology and evols told through excessive metaphor and bedtime stories. spoilers for lucien’s childhood and ch.13. im proud of this one ^^ though there is a lot of projection involved. also lucien is an enneagram five.

to dwell on- c: lucien and homes and him and mc being soft together that’s it <3 or in more coherent language some bittersweet fluff for lucien’s bday based on moments from his mini-house and his most recent bday karma + date. in hindsight i’ve realized i didn’t use his or MC’s name at all outside of dialogue LOL

king lear and other tragedies- a prompt for the librarian ask meme linked above! im p sure anon prompted me a month before i got around to actually writing an answer hndkslgj but. here we are. shakespeare and tragedies and parallels between characters and a lot of pretentious dialogue, meant to be an extension of/missing scene after lucien’s theater date. this only rly exists bc of a single line in the date mentioning the production being put on was king lear and i took that and ran for all it was worth

just a summer thing- a short little scenario that manifested in my head one warm summer night when i should’ve been sleeping and my first foray into domestic!gavin territory <333 i’d say it’s probably one of my lightest fics, if not the lightest ahfksldg (also heavily inspired by the way @belovedstill writes gavin/mc pst basia’s fics are to die for)

under a golden sun- high school era gavin, MC and minor! originally intended for gavin’s bday except (1) i didn’t finish on time LOL and (2) the fic never mentions his bday oops. also in 2nd person though if you asked why i couldn’t tell you it just felt more right. ft. basketball and memories and a bit of bittersweet nostalgia. simultaneously has some of what i think is my weakest writing (in terms of pacing/consistent tone imo) and some of my favorite lines i’ve ever written for a gavin fic and i’ve come to appreciate it more over time bc of that c:

today, this is the whole universe (and that’s okay)- gavin, MC, and domestic, sleepy sundays. and a long ao3 title that’s it that’s the fic (narrator: and then, she never wrote anything purely fluffy ever again). heavily inspired by gavin’s sleepy morning asmr and that one clip of his cn voice actor playing/humming his theme (aka soft soft SOFTEST) also just. i said it already but all of my domestic!gavin is inspired by and exists thanks to the breathtaking writing of @belovedstill <333

in the wind- a semi(?)exploration of gavin’s wind but also just him loving mc bc that’s what he and his evol are all about. short and bittersweet <3 (if anyone’s keeping track i think this is where my writing starts to lean more on the uhhh descriptive side and becomes less dialogue-based? or i feel there’s a diff from this writing style compared to the earlier gavin fics (besides parts of under a golden sun) which is just interesting for me to think about but not relevant to the fic itself ahfklsdf) 

winter’s end- winter world!gavin and mc and a softer, more bittersweet reunion. m a j o r spoilers for ch.22 and what comes before. also gavin’s past. it hurt to write and apparently hurts to read b u t there’s a happy ending. i promise c:

Of Corgis and Christmas- a secret santa present for a victor stan that conjured some fluffy victor writing from my victor-less heart,,, a christmas miracle aND im lowkey proud of how it turned out but the highlights of the fic are Goldman and Cindy T-T they deserve more screentime and someday. i will write the subplot that got cut where Goldman sends Cindy embarrassing Victor stories to try to impress her and MC helps :>

spend my whole life searching- i combined 2 victor librarian asks from the librarian prompt meme above would u believe he's the only suitor I got twice 😔 this man is so popular and for what (only kidding ahdjdjs we just have a relationship of mutual disapproval dont mind me dragging him just a little i need to compensate for the appreciation I developed for him while writing this :>) this is similar to the kiro librarian fic in that it kinda gives vic's perspective on victor/MC's first in-game meeting with a healthy dose of and they were soulmates and angsty longing™ and also. victor is an enneagram one
