Derkila, Alikred, and the ring theory
Ok, so I had a whole post planned about a different theory about sullivan but as I reviewed the information I realized that i was being silly and it didn't make since. BUT i did come up with a new idea from it so ill share that here
So we know that more than likely, Derkila is probably Alikred right? I'm not going to go over that, the names and chapter 307 says it all. What I'm curious about is why Ali gets more powerful with every rank up. Because no one else, from what we've seen, becomes more powerful when they rank up. Ranking up is moreso a status symbol of your hard work and dedication. It's not something you just easily earn, it's something you work towards. You don't raise in rank and gain more power or knowledge, you gained that because you worked towards it.
So why does Ali-san say he gained more abilities and magic potential once Iruma became rank 5? My theory is because of how powerful Delkila was before he somehow became the ring, it caused his magical strength to be scattered throughout each rank. He would have been rank 10, maybe even beyond the comprehension of the current ranking. That could just be an exaggeration, but we do know that apparently his abilities have never been matched since.
Could this spell/curse placed on him caused a cap on his abilities and only someone capable or worthy attain his full power? As a way of testing the owner's resolve? Like, sure ok you could achieve power beyond the average demon, even stronger than the strongest demon, but you must strive towards that. And we have seen iruma growing towards that, Ali-san even commented on how he's getting better and better at weilding magic.
Maybe the owl saw the potential in Iruma to attain (and be trusted!!) with this power. Because I don't think this strength would just be given out willy nilly. It would need to be someone who could handle that responsibility. There's a reality where iruma wasn't given the ring. I mean sure, there's the prophecy but no one said it had to be iruma. What if iruma had been less caring, less understanding? Less worthy of the magical potential of the ring?
The reason why i started thinking this is because i started to question why exactly iruma gains wings whenever he taps into advanced magic. We have seen it at least two times, maybe three. The first time was when he used pandaroola during the battler party, the second time was when he achieved his bow, and maybe during the harvest festival using Clara's stored energy. Each time was when he tapped into magic far more powerful that his current level would allow for.
For instance, we know pandaroola esentially counts as a level 10 spell. That's why it could break Kiriro's barrier. With the bow, he tapped into advanced magic to create a bow that resonates strongly with his spririt esentially, created from deep desires (which was only possible with Ali-san's help). And during the Harvest festival, he basically got super charged with magic, beyond the amount the ring typically holds at that point in time, which caused wings to burst out (Iruma's? or was it just the plants? hard to tell) and a vision of Derkila. basically, the ring has a basic cap on the magic abilities, that's why not just any spell or usage triggers the wings. but super charged spells or ones that supersedes the limits? could be a good reason to make this happen
My theory is that when he taps into strong magic, he is tapping into the full strength of delkira's powers thus allowing (or maybe even requiring) a human to be more demonic. Maybe this power can only be weilded by a demon? or maybe the demonic power is so strong it forces iruma to become partially a demon (or maybe just gain demon features) when the spell is used. Which makes me think that iruma isn't somehow a reincarnation or half demon or something like some theories mention. Of course, they could come out with the steel chair and make that so but for now this is my theory
As for the Sullivan stuff, i genuinely don't think he has any idea about Derkila. I do wonder what he thinks happened to him however. He believes he will come back, that much is clear. But he doesn't have the air of someone who believes he died and will come back. I think he fully believes he is just in hiding or cast a spell so people could find him (which, maybe is true? we still don't know the story of the ring). I think if he had any idea of Iruma's possible connection to Derkila through the ring, his reaction would be a LOT different. According to Sullivan, the ring is just your average glutinous feeder ring, esentially a battery. (This part has been edited for clarity because I worded this section weirdly): He more than likely knows/has a good guess that certain actions will lead to others. So he knows the "Ring of Solomon" (which is more than likely Iruma's ring) plays a role in the future. But I don't believe he knows the full picture, the Derlika connection. Or at least, not that he may be inside the ring. He plays the role of "wow what a lucky chance that my cool grandson can use magic and learn to protect himself," while more than likely there's more to it, just not the full story.
idk if any of this makes sense but it's an idea i've been cooking up because it simply makes no sense why he gains more power from what we know of leveling up. and im super curious why iruma obtains wings with super powerful spells

381. Tatsu no ko Taro (AKA Taro the Dragon Boy) (1979)
Tumblr media
7/10
Produced by Toei, this movie tells the story of Tatsu no ko Taro, a Japanese folk hero who brought the people of the mountains down to the valleys and taught them to farm rice. He meets many strange people and animals on his journey to find his mother, who was turned into a dragon for being greedy, and he even fights a couple different mythological Japanese monsters.
Although the style is not so blatantly psychedelic, Tatsu no ko Taro is more like The Little Prince and the Eight-Headed Dragon than it is any other animated movie before it. The animal animation is more realistic, but the tone of the writing is very similar, and a few bits seem like direct homages, including a scene at the beginning in which he wrestles with his animal friends, the design of the flying horse, and the general theme of learning to be considerate and care for others (he has super-strength, but only when helping someone else.) This movie peculiarly tricks the viewer into craving white rice, by showing every step in the production and cooking process, and having characters opine about how delicious it is. I suppose it should go without saying that rice and rice farming was integral to the development of Japanese cuisine and civilization, but I had never considered the history of it before.
Though not the most esoteric or radical movie ever made, the animation is well produced, and the story and characters are cute and well written. This is a great children’s movie, unless you are the sort of weirdo who doesn’t let their kids see nudity, as there is a running joke about the main character, a child, not wearing underwear (underwear not having been invented yet.) If you are one of those people, I would like to remind you that all children are naked sometimes, and unless they are blind, there is a 100% chance that your child has seen a naked person before.

It's not his fault he likes seeing other people's despair. He was just born in the wrong family that made him feel like he's useless and everyone else including his other siblings are doing stuff that's worthwhile while he's been miserable all the time bullied and isolated by their overwhelming presence. And do you think a little girl his age can become a cure? Not at all. He was deprived of family love and care at a tender age. Like Kerori he didn't even have his grandmother as support. Not everyone will become Narutos. Even he had proper guidance. Kiriro fell into the wrong hands. Baal is his family. Where has Sullivan grandpa been when he could have adopted Kiriro or done something for him before Baal got him? If that happened kiriro would have been a demon with good intentions though he'd still bleed and he would have just developed magic tools and stayed with Iruma's army.

This OP is Currently not listening to otherwises. And all you kids who discriminated him based on his horn, or bullied him, you all suck. If Kiriro is stuck in his wicked phase it's because of his family and wicked demon peers. He snapped out for a moment and prevented Iruma from falling down but that's because he's human. A different vibe. The demon world, has always been unfair to the poor kiriro Just like the human world has been to Iruma.

Second part of the p5 x p3 fusion AU cast
Mapei Iojima ( Male Junpei + Makoto fusion)
A silly yet serious boy, he cares very deeply about the rules and is a student council president but he doesn’t have the willpower to properly punish others and generally means well, it’s a wonder how he is still a student council president
Fuken Amashiki ( Male Ken + Futaba fusion)
A socially inept and NEET young boy who can be rather abrasive and rude but ultimately means well, being on the internet he tends to use internet slang a lot but he uses it to cope with his dead mother, he’s the navigator.
Harjiro Aramura ( Male Shinjiro + Haru fusion)
A silent yet mysterious brooding type, he is surprisingly kind hearted pure hearted and overall a good person, he is the heir to the Aramura corporation and as such is destined to take over, he’s extremely good botany and cooking.
Akesuru Kiriro ( Female Akechi + Mitsuru fusion)
A elite and well known investigator who never fails at Autopsies, Akesuru is rather beautiful elegant charismatic and intelligent, her main person she has eyes on is Akmuko and the Tartarverse thieves, being primarily directed by her father Takeho.
Suyoji Mochizawa ( Male Sumire + Ryoji fusion)
A kind yet extremely mysterious student at The academy, he acts nice and kind enough but what is he hiding? And once again he seems socially approachable but tends to latch onto Akmuko.

Hiii I love your Iruma-kun analyses!! And since you're open to questions I wanted to ask, what do you think about Kirio and his relationship with Iruma and his ambitions?
damn, i knew someone would ask this LOL. im going to try my hardest to answer this but full disclosure, i have autism and for me, kiriro is a very difficult character to understand because of his morals (or lack there of?) and personality. For me, it's hard to understand people/characters that don't seem to be fully truthful. He's not a fav of mine (im sorry, i know people like him but i can't fully get into him at this moment. maybe if we see him interact more with baal's group.). So i'll try my best! (also i hope yall are ok with frequent posting, i am currently on winter break from college so i have nothing better to do but hyperfixate on this series lol)
Okay, so I think kirio is deeply in love and lust with iruma. I think it's farily obvious he is deeply interested in seeing iruma's "look of despair" in a attracted way, the manga calls him out for being a pervert about it. For Kiriro, Iruma is one of the first characters (besides his childhood friend of course) to ever really be nice to him. He was a friend to him and even if he wasn't being fully truthful with Iruma (like about his true motivations to getting rid of ranks) he did trust iruma with deeply personal information about himself. I think from there is where the obessesion began. Because then, he started to seeing them as kindred spirits who (similarly) went through deeply traumatic experiences in their childhoods, weaker than most, and similar personalities. For the first time, it was like he was being seen by someone (outside of baal). And I think he grew unheathilty attached to that idea of having someone so like him.
That's why I think wanting Iruma see his friends die in front of him was such a big deal for Kiriro. I said this in a different post, but the six fingers operate under the belief that people will all fall to their more primitive selves with the right push. And i think Kiriro wanted that from iruma. he wanted somone even more like him, so deeply intertwined with his experiences. Kiriro's childhood can not be understated, that shit was fucked up. And in turn that fucked him up. Not to say that he couldn't have become the way he is now without his childhood (yes i know, nature vs nurture), but I think the trauma plays a major role in this. He experienced something his brain wasn't able to understand at the time (friend being really heartbroken about the necklace + blaming himself) and according to him, THAT was when he started to long for despair. From there, he wanted another person he perceives as like him to also experience something fucked up so they'll cast away morals too, there by solidifying Iruma's place with Kiriro. Forever fucked up together
Iruma outright rejects that and Kiriro's whole world view is destroyed. Why was this person he considered an equal, a comrad, denying his "affection." His way of making sure they could be together. Kiriro projected too much of himself onto Iruma and by doing so, ignored the things that made them so different from each other fundamentally. And Iruma did the same thing to Kiriro. But Kiriro can't give up Iruma just like Iruma can't give up Kiriro. They want the other in their life but think about the world too differently. So in order to stay together, they both want the other to change, believe their way of thinking and being is better. In this way, I can understand why people ship them together even if I don't. Sort of like a tragic love
What i find interesting is that Kiriro seems to have found his space. He found the connection he was looking for. He is honestly himself (in all his fucked up glory), jokes about his pervertedness, and seems happy. But he can't get rid of the idea of Iruma coming to him. I mean, I don't blame him. It's poetically beautiful how much Kiriro is unapologetically a demon and Iruma is unapologetically a human. At odds but so alike. I think in his own messed up way, the idea of eating iruma is a way of keeping iruma always with him because he now sees he can't force iruma to bend to his ways. And he wants iruma the only way he thinks he can have him. But in the end, even this would end in tragedy.
There isn't really a happy ending to this i believe where all parties are happy. Because if iruma gets his way, ok cool. but kiriro is (at least by this point) too far gone in his belief about demon origins. Kiriro could never be happy, he would need to supress so much of himself for the sake of iruma. And if kiriro gets his way, ok cool. But now he no longer has iruma as an "enemy." the person he felt most alike and connected to is now gone. And I imagine he would just feel empty about that because shit, now he's truly gone and i have nothing else besides the memories
As for his ambitions, I honestly don't understand them besides the iruma part. It feels very, the world hurt me and now i want to see the world hurt too which has been cultivated with his trauma. sorry i can't discuss that part much but thats as far as my autism will grasp. hope you liked this despite that!
