Feeling Like I Never Should

a/n: this is kinda very kirby centered but for good reason
Kirby is your best friend, and as your best friend she knows exactly when you need a push. Especially when it comes to Charlie. She loved to make the two of you squirm, to tease, to torment, until you were both a mess.
You like Charlie, maybe more than a friend should, but his obvious feelings for Kirby have stopped you from ever pursuing him as anything more than a friend. But Kirby knows something you don’t, that no matter how much she heckles or taunts Charlie, no one makes him squirm like you do.
His logic isn’t half bad, feign interest in her so that you don’t suspect his feelings for you, but one thing the dweeb never considered is that you might reciprocate his feelings. It’d be cute how oblivious the two of you are if it wasn’t so pathetic. Both of you pining over the other, too afraid to make a move.
“What are you doing tonight?” Kirby asks you, shutting your locker abruptly and startling you.
“Please stop doing that,” you groan, ever the unexpecting victim of Kirby’s jumpscares.
“You know I can’t,” Kirby says, disregarding your request. “So, any special Friday night plans?”
“I’m alone again this weekend, so probably just takeout and—” you begin to say, but Kirby interrupts you.
“And a rager?” She suggests jokingly.
“No,” you shoot down her idea quickly, even if she wasn’t being serious. “Charlie wants to come over to plan Stab-A-Thon and my sister left behind some werewolf trilogy so we’re probably gonna watch that,” you answer, bracing yourself for Kirby’s response.
“Sounds like a hot date,” she says sarcastically, reveling in your involuntary embarrassed reactions.
“Shut up. Why are you asking?” You say, changing the subject.
“Because Jill, Olivia, and I are going to a party and I thought I’d extend an invitation, but you have plans. So, invitation withdrawn,” she answers, a teasing lilt in her voice.
“You’re just gonna end up watching guys fawn over Olivia and Jill spend the entire time on the couch with Trevor,” you tell her, knowing that inevitably she will show up at your house sometime after two in the morning, drunk off her ass and complaining about how lame the party was.
“At least there’ll be some free booze. See you later!” Kirby says before walking away.
It doesn’t take long for you and Charlie to plan Stab-A-Thon for the third year in a row, sharing Chinese takeout while going over location, equipment, and all the other small details of the club’s most notorious event. Pretty soon you’re both sprawled over your couch, dissecting the first movie that your sister described as a feminist cult classic, your legs resting comfortably over Charlie’s lap.
“Honey! I’m home!” Kirby yells, interrupting the second movie, letting herself in with a copy of your house key that you gave her freshman year. “And I’m really drunk!”
“Is that Kirby?” Charlie asks when you pause the movie, confused.
“Yeah, I guess she decided to bail on the party early,” you say, getting up to bring her to the den.
“Ugh, you were right,” Kirby says when you meet her at your front door, struggling to take off her shoes. “Olivia left with some guy and Jill barely let go of Trevor’s arm. But I got this!” She says, kicking off her shoes and holding up a bottle of tequila.
“I don’t think you need anymore of that, come on, I’ll get you some water,” you say, leading her to the living room.
“Charlie! How’s the werewolf trilogy?” You hear Kirby ask while you go to the kitchen to get her water.
“Basically a high-budget snuff film,” you catch the end of Charlie’s thoughts on the movie when you come back with a water bottle for Kirby.
“Ooh, will it be brought up at the next club meeting?” Kirby asks, pulling your back to her chest when you join them on the couch, resting her chin over your shoulder.
“Maybe,” Charlie says, taking a swig of the tequila Kirby must have given him while you were in the kitchen.
“Drink some water, you need to sober up,” you tell Kirby, twisting in her hold to raise the now open water bottle to her lips.
“And you need to loosen up,” Kirby says, drinking the water reluctantly.
“Only if you drink some water,” you say, handing her the plastic bottle.
“That’s my girl!” She cheers, drinking more water while you turn back around to face Charlie.
Your fingers brush against Charlie’s when you take the tequila from him, lifting the heavy bottle to drink the unpleasant clear liquid. It burns as it goes down your throat, settling hot in your stomach, the heat seeping throughout your body. Your face scrunches at the bitter taste, and you already know Kirby’s gonna have something to say about that.
“Aw, do you need a chaser?” She teases, wrapping her arms around your waist, empty water bottle dropped to the floor.
“Something tells me you didn’t bring any,” you rasp, relinquishing the bottle back to Charlie.
“It’s not so bad,” Charlie says after taking another drink.
“I’ve had better,” you say, nursing the bottle, keeping it away from Kirby as she playfully bites your shoulder.
Without mixers, it’s not long before half the bottle is gone and you and Charlie are about equal to Kirby’s somewhat less intoxicated state. The movie is long forgotten, frozen at the end of the first act. The three of you are squished at one end of the couch, you’re slumped against Kirby, legs thrown over Charlie’s lap, listening to Kirby’s drunken rundown of the party she left and how she stole the bottle.
“Hold on, I gotta pee,” she says, pushing you off of her to run to the bathroom.
“Sorry,” you say, hearing Charlie groan when you’re shoved onto his lap.
“No, you’re fine,” he says, hoping you don’t realize the hard situation he’s in.
“I don’t think we’re gonna finish the trilogy tonight,” you giggle, laying back where Kirby was seated.
“Definitely not,” he says, hands nervously resting over your thighs.
“I’m back!” Kirby announces her return, and you sit up to let her return to her spot.
“That was fast,” you say, shifting halfway on Charlie’s lap, too distracted by Kirby to notice him throwing his head back, his hands just barely gripping your skin.
“God, you’re such a tease,” she says, pulling you off of his lap and towards her once she’s sat.
“What do you mean?” You ask, relaxing into her hold.
“Look what you’re doing to him,” she says, redirecting your focus to Charlie. “He’s pitching a tent just from you crawling over him like a little minx.”
“That’s not—” he tries to deny it, face flushing from being called out, but Kirby cuts him off.
“Are you gonna help him out with his problem or not?” She asks you, both you and Charlie shocked by her words.
“D-Do you want me to help you?” You ask him, head fuzzy from the night’s turn of events.
“Yes,” Charlie answers, and as soon as the word leaves his lips Kirby is pushing you onto his lap.
Your thighs straddle his hips, your hands finding purchase on his shoulders from being moved so abruptly. Looking between them, you’re unsure of what to do, but as your best friend, Kirby already knows of your lack of experience. She moves closer to the two of you, cupping your cheek and turning your head to face her. Leaning in, she presses her lips to yours, kissing you wantonly. You return the kiss, albeit a bit sloppily, lips parting when her tongue swipes at your bottom lip, licking into your mouth. She pulls away soon after, not wanting you to forget about Charlie.
“Kiss him like that,” she instructs you, turning your head back to face him.
You lean in, goosebumps rising across your skin as a shiver tingles down your spine from his intent gaze, pupils dilated from lust and alcohol. Pressing your lips to his, you copy Kirby’s movements the best you can, kissing him sensuously. He kisses you back hungrily, as if he wished to devour you. When your tongue swipes at his bottom lip, he parts his lips just as you did for Kirby, and follows your lead as your tongue meets his. The makeout is messy, both of you new to the act, and Kirby takes the opportunity to move Charlie’s hands to your hips from where they rested on your thighs.
“Move her however you like,” she whispers in his ear, giving him the go-ahead to grind you on his crotch.
Charlie’s hands move your hips slowly, his own hips bucking up to meet yours as you whine into his mouth. He’s not quiet either, low moans escaping him at the lewd acts unfolding. Your nails scratch at the fabric of his flannel, supporting yourself with his shoulders as heat pools in your core. Despite the layers between the two of you, the friction is just enough for a wet patch to appear in your panties.
“Alright, calm down, greedy boy,” Kirby says, pulling you away from the kiss by your shoulders. “Wouldn’t want you finishing before the main event,” she teases, having heard the desperation in his voice as the two of you began to get lost in pleasure.
“Be nice,” you tell her, the words slipping out without thought.
“You want me to be nice?” She asks, her mouth stretching into a devious smile. “Come here,” she says, scooting to the edge of the couch, back to the armrest, where she sat when she first arrived.
You make your way towards her, letting her flip you around to face Charlie when you get close, your back to her chest like before. Her fingers play with the hem of your top, soft lips brushing against your skin as she leans forward, whispering in your ear to lift your arms. You do as she says, arms rising above your head, and she pulls up your top, exposing you to Charlie. He’s watching attentively, you can feel his stare hardening when your bra comes into view, fabric lifting over your head and being thrown to the side.
“Come closer, Charlie,” Kirby says, and he doesn’t need to be told twice, moving closer to the two of you, slotting himself between your legs. “Isn’t she pretty?” Kirby asks, fondling you over your bra, and your breath hitches from her actions.
“Yes, she’s very pretty,” he says, voice low and airy.
“Do you wanna play with her tits?” Kirby asks, pulling the cups of your bra down to expose your breasts. “Go ahead,” she says, when Charlie only responds with a nod.
His hands are surprisingly cold, a shock to your overheated skin. Kirby undoes your bra, sliding the straps down your shoulders and stripping you of the last garment on your upper body before placing her hands on top of Charlie’s. She guides his hands to be less gentle, and you watch through hooded lids as he lowers his head to your chest.
His tongue flicks over your pert nipples, testing for your reaction, continuing when he hears your soft whines. Kirby pulls his hair back, giving you a better view as he mouths at your tits, licking and sucking your hardened buds, skin shining from his spit. She pulls him away from you harshly by his hair, holding him in place.
“If you wanna get your dick wet, you need to prep her,” Kirby says, letting go of him. “Take these off for her,” she instructs, snapping the waistband of your shorts and panties against you.
You lift your hips so that he can pull your bottoms off, and he accidentally pulls you closer to him, your head sliding down to rest against Kirby’s stomach. She doesn’t say anything, watching him push your legs up to slide the last of your clothes off. You’ve got your thighs pressed together tightly, feeling vulnerable being the only one naked, but Kirby doesn’t allow that for long. She forces your legs apart, giving Charlie a clear view of your wet cunt.
“This,” she says, one hand trailing down to spread your folds with two fingers. “Is her clit, play with it right and you both get a prize,” she continues, rubbing tight circles on the bud, making you mewl as your hips buck for more. “Be patient,” Kirby warns you, pulling her fingers away to hold your hips down, ignoring the whimper you let out from the loss of friction.
Charlie’s fingers replace Kirby’s, messy circles leaving you breathless as you moan quietly. Eyes screwed shut in pleasure, you don’t see him moving down until his mouth meets your core. He licks a broad stripe from your hole to your clit, sucking the bud experimentally between his lips. You’re left keening from his actions, Kirby’s hands keeping your thighs from shutting around his head and hips rolling for more.
“Good boy,” Kirby coos from behind you, watching Charlie eat your pussy like a man starved. What he lacks in experience, he makes up for in enthusiasm. “Now stretch her hole with your fingers,” Kirby instructs, ignoring your hands gripping the wrist of her hand holding your hips down.
Charlie slides a finger in tentatively, stroking your walls gently. You’re a whiny mess, begging for more, sweet voice echoing through the room. He slips another finger in, your tight walls sucking him in greedily. His thick fingers prod deep inside you, massaging a spot that has your stomach twisting in pleasure.
“Charlie,” you moan his name, breathing heavy as he fucks you open with his fingers, face flushing in embarrassment when you hear your pussy squelching lewdly.
“Is he making you feel good?” Kirby asks, and you nod quickly, thighs trembling as she holds your legs open. “Is he doing a good job?” She asks, enjoying the way you struggle to muster even a non-verbal response as you do your best to nod. “No, use your words, hon. Tell him how good he’s making you feel, how good of a job he’s doing,” she says, watching your glossy eyes meet Charlie’s.
“Feels so good, Charlie,” you say between ragged breaths, mewling when he thrusts his fingers harder. “You’re doing such a good job!” You cry, ears ringing and gripping Kirby’s arm tighter as you begin to teeter over the edge.
“Stop,” Kirby says, and you whine at the empty feeling when Charlie pulls his fingers out, your orgasm ruined. “Shh, don’t worry, love. You’ll get to come,” she reassures you, massaging your thighs. “Take your clothes off, Charlie,” she instructs him, and he wastes no time stripping.
“I don’t have a condom,” he says, down to his boxers, slowly moving back to where he was between your legs.
“You don’t need one, you’re both virgins and she’s on the pill,” Kirby says, pushing him to sit back to cushion, moving you onto his lap.
Your thighs shake when you straddle him this time, nothing separating the two of you now. His dick is pretty, pale with a pink, almost red, tip, shiny from leaking pre. He’s got a protruding vein on the underside, you lick your lips wishing you could trace it instead, a trimmed dark patch of curls trailing up.
“Spit,” Kirby says, interrupting your thoughts, holding your hand up to your mouth. “Good girl,” she praises you when you let your saliva dribble into the palm of your hand. “You’re lucky,” Kirby says to you, wrapping your hand around Charlie’s dick. “To have such a pretty cock as your first,” she finishes, pumping your fist leisurely around him.
The sight of Charlie is sinful, almost pornographic moans slipping past kiss-swollen lips. His hair is a little messy from Kirby’s rough handling, blue eyes glistening as he watches Kirby move your hand around him, hips desperately meeting yours for more. But Kirby reminds him who’s in charge, hand holding him in place just as she did you before stopping your movements altogether.
“Now sit,” Kirby says, pulling your hips up and lining him up with your entrance.
Charlie’s hands hold onto your hips as you sink further down, thick head stretching your hole as you lower. It’s not as painful as so many of your friends had said when they told you about their first time, moreso uncomfortable as his shaft stretches you wider than his fingers prepared you for. Your mouth is open in a silent cry, gravity forcing you further down and it feels like you’re being split apart.
“Are you okay?” Charlie asks when you’re fully seated, hands kneading your hips comfortingly.
“Yeah,” you answer, getting used to the full feeling, gaze shifting to Kirby’s, a question in your eyes.
“Ride him,” Kirby says, hands on top of Charlie’s, guiding you up and down his cock.
Your hands find themselves on his shoulders, stabilizing yourself as you’re bounced on his lap. You moan wantonly as the two of you move together, pleasure zinging through your bodies each time your hips slam down. Kirby removes her hands from Charlie’s, one instead softly tracing across your lower back as you lose yourself, trembling as he thrusts up to meet your movements.
A string of expletives leave his mouth, a whispered groan as he no doubt nears his release. It’s cute, Kirby thinks, how desperate the two of you are to finish. You hide your face in the space where his neck meets his shoulder, hands tugging at his hair as your hips struggle to keep up with his punishing pace, moaning incoherently into his skin.
But Kirby can’t have that, so she sneaks a hand between your bodies, rubbing frantic circles on your clit. Your whole body tenses up, taut like a string, biting into Charlie’s shoulder to muffle your wail as your release sprays against his stomach and thighs. He fucks you through it, despite your walls tightening to push him out, hips jerking as he pulls you down one last time, coming inside you.
Kirby is your best friend, but even in her drunken state she can recognize that maybe that’s not a good enough excuse for what she did tonight. Driving you into Charlie’s arms just because she doesn’t have the balls to admit she’s in love with you is somehow worse than Charlie’s misdirection strategy. But that’s a problem for hungover Kirby, she thinks.

-Save Me From Her - chapter 3
Tara Carpenter x fem!reader
Summary: The past comes back to haunt, and it doesn't like the present.
a/n: Hai everybody! Sorry that this took this long to come out, but life has been lifing, and I needed to get a hold of my mental health and stuff like that. Anyways, enjoy!
warnings: amature writing, wounds, stabbing, Canon-typical violance, multiple POV's, mixed POV's, mass homocide, blood, blood, and more blood (also; not proofread. I will, but not yet. When I did, I will remove this. I just wanted to push this out as quick as possible.
“Lolly!”
Her voice was venomous as it echoed through the small room, shivering, and agitated.
“Come ‘ere…”
The voice disintegrated, everything in it becoming shadowy dust, blown away by the wind. Her voice faded as well, as it was taken over by a sound that cut through the very fabric of nature. A scream, loud, horrid, and filled with emotion. Filled with anger, with hate and rancor.
“She was screaming, shouting, and begging for it to end.” The voice sounded from the depths of darkness. “Yet you did nothing!”
Her face emerged from the dredge, emotionless. Her eyes like glass, her mouth ripped open, deep bruises across her features. Dead. Then her voice sounded again, the former emotions snuff from the words she spoke, replaced with sadness. She sounded bitter, heartbroken. Disappointed.
“We could have been happy Y/N. We could have been…”
----------------------------
Tara was worried about you. Ever since you saw the note, you haven’t been the same. You acted like nothing happened, talked to the cops about the attack whilst soothing her quivering body. They asked about the dead body as well, which you gave the full truth about; that he attacked you two yesterday and that in his drunk state, you could fend him off. With her help you went through about what happened inside the building today, skipping over the personal parts of course.
Even though you kept a straight, composed face, even when you talked calmly, not a hint of trembling present in your voice, she could see through your façade. You were shaken to your core. She saw the slight flinch of your eyes when the name ‘Lolly’ came up, she felt the almost unnoticeable tightening of your grip around her whenever they asked about your wounds. The little motions your lips, your body, they all gave you away. She has never seen you like this. Scared. You weren’t whilst talking back to someone twice your size, not when you defended her yesterday from the drunk, not when you two fled for your lives today. Not when the knife was inches away from your face. Never
Yet now, you were. The reappearance of Ghostface by itself made Tara too, your state had only worsened hers. She was afraid for you. The worry she felt for you overwhelmed every other emotion that would rise in her. She felt like she needed to stay strong, for the both of you. Falling apart was not an option.
After the ambulance patched you up, the cops approached you once more.
“You’ll have to come with us so that we may pick up your statements at the precinct.”
Tara raised an eyebrow. “Didn’t we just tell you what happened?”
“Yes, but to officially record it, we need you to be at the station.”
“But-“ Tara started but your soft, gentle hand on her shoulder made her stop.
“Let’s follow the officers Tara” you said, looking at the young woman. You were composed and confident.
She huffed but gave in to you. “Can I call Sam from your phone please? I left mine in your apartment.”
“Here” you mumbled as you absentmindedly handed her yours from your back pocket.
As Tara started to dial in her sister’s number, she saw it was already saved. At the name she raised her brow again. “Who is ‘Geralt’?
“Oh, it’s her” you say, blushing a little. "It's from Witcher.
“I know, but why is this her name?” she asks, turning the screen towards you.
You shy away from her unwavering gaze, then press the call button and push her hand back towards her face. “Oh, no you won’t escape this-“ she starts but Sam is faster, as she immediately picks up the ringing phone. She hears her voice calling out for her from the other end of the line.
"Tara! I just saw the news. Are you okay? Are you hurt? I'm on my way and be there as fast as possib-" her unrelenting assault of words is cut off by Tara.
"Sam, calm down and take a breath. I'm uninjured, but Y/N got a nasty cut on her neck. The police want us to go down to the precinct to pick up our statements. Meet us there?"
"Yeah, sounds good! Be careful!"
"Off what? I'll be surrounded by cops for god's sake!"
"We both now that won't stop him" Sam said, voice low and mournful. Flashing memories of the hospital ran through Tara's mind for a second and sent a shiver down her spine. The dead cop, laying limp on the floor with an open throat, the pain and the fear coming back to her all of a sudden. Her senses numbed, not hearing Sam's voice on the other end of the line, the lights becoming blindingly bright, yet she couldn't close or avert her eyes. She was frozen in place, helpless just like when she was crawling away from her. From the one that said she would be always by her side. The one that said whatever the case, she would keep her safe. The one that said she loved her.
She flinched when she felt something touch her and snapped her head backwards. At your sight she calmed, only now noticing, and taking in her surroundings once again. "Okay Sam, I will. Bye" Tara managed to say, then hung up.
"She knew?" your voice was soft, so soft. Why were you this thoughtful with her always? It made her heartbeat faster, making her able to believe she could be normal again. But life always had a way to prove her wrong, doesn't it?
"By now all of the world could now" she gestured behind you, towards the police line where an army of reporters were lined up. You sighed as you noticed them. "We are gonna meet her at the station."
"Then let's get moving." Tara felt your hand on her back, nudging her gently to get to the police car.
You opened the door for her, then scrambled to the other side to do the same for yourself. When you got in and closed the car, the sounds of the outside vanished, a comfortable silence filling the space. The vehicle soundlessly rolled out to the road, the lights of the city blaring by the window that Tara's head was leaned against. The cops in front were chattering quietly, trying not to disturb you two.
The Carpenter felt odd. Out of place. Everything was calm. Nothing should be calm. Ghostface was back. He was here to bring her and her loved one’s pain, suffering, and death. Why her? Then she thought of the note. This wasn't about her. No, you knew what the name meant, it scared you. This wasn't about her she realized. This was about you. She rethought the attack, every little detail she could think of. She was the first one to get called, but that didn't mean much. All the time, he was staring at you with his dead eyes, always attacking you. She remembered the occasions where he could have wounded her, yet he was focused solely on you.
Tara looked over to your side of the backseats, taking in your features again. You were just as disturbed as her, deep in thought and uncomfortable. You would have looked cute if one didn't know about what had happened. Tara saw your pained gaze, could feel that your thoughts were eating you up inside and hated every moment of it. Your usual smile wasn't there to light her up. She missed your crinkling eyes that could melt the coldest frozen hearts, your witty jokes, that you would throw in the worst time possible. So, she tried to distract you.
"I want an answer" she demanded, looking at you with furrowed eyes. She surprised you with speaking up, that she could see. You looked at her, confused and unfocused. "I want an answer" she repeated. You clearly didn't know what she was talking about, but she needed you to get speaking so you wouldn't shut off again.
"What answer?" your voice full of confusion.
"The answer to my question" Tara said matter-of-factly.
You rolled your eyes at her statement. "Which one Tara?"
"Why the hell is my sister saved in your phone as Geralt of Rivia?"
You reddened instantly, looking everywhere but her. "It was mainly meant to be a joke…"
"But?"
You gulped and glanced over to her a few times. She knew her unwavering gaze would brake your resistance, and it did. "Anika pointed out that he resembles some of his attributes." You say, still not looking at her.
"Like what?" Tara asked playfully. You looked like a child caught in the act of stealing cookies from the fridge. You swallowed again, clearly rethinking your life choices since the date of your birth. "Y/N, don't think that I'll let you off the hook this easily."
"She is strong, layered and protective besides being misunderstood and mistreated!" you blurted out, looking straight at her. Once you did, your eyes widened and went pale as a ghost. Tara could feel her smile widening to unimaginable lengths before bursting out in laughter. "I'm only telling the truth here! Don't laugh at me" you pouted. You looked so kissable.
"N- no it's not you it's just" she tried to say in between laughs. "It's just that it's so accurate. She would be fuming if she heard about this."
"And that's why she will never know!" So kissable.
"Oh, I don't know about that" she smirked. "My tongue is in a slippy mood these days…"
"No, Tara I'm serious!" you pleaded, face contorting in fear. "She would kill me! I have barely made it on her list of tolerated people! I don't want to end up-" she cut you off with her lips on yours. Your eyes widened for a moment, taking in what was happening, but she didn't give you enough time to fully comprehend it. She leaned back and watched your gaping face. After you finally shook off the surprise, you smirked at her. "Well, if I end up like this, I don't mind her knowing."
Tara rolled her eyes at you but the butterflies in her stomach rendered her silent. What exactly was this? You kissed her back, that surely meant you liked her too, right? She didn’t have much time to think because you leaned in to kiss her again, this time deepening it. You cupped her cheek with your right hand, whilst the left on found hold on her waist, gently rubbing circles under the fabric. When you had to separate for air, she pressed her forehead against yours, eyes locking with each other.
“I-“ Tara started, but stopped herself. The words she was about to speak didn’t feel right. Didn’t feel enough. She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, trying to think up something that would be better.
“I know” you said simply, caressing her face with your fingers. She opened her eyes again, and your heart started beating faster at the sight of them, full of hope and concern. “Me too.”
Your words made the swarm of butterflies in Tara’s stomach grow into a horde. “Since when?”
“Anika told me what you told Mindy” you said with a smirk. “That’s when I really started to hope for it to be true. I never fully believed it until know though.”
“You mean the time when they got together?” At your nod her face reddened. She then narrowed her eyes and leaned back. “Mindy is dead to me.”
“Oh, come on, they share everything between each other, and Anika could never stand my stare.”
“It was meant to be a secret!”
“If you want to blame someone, blame me for being a too good sister, from which the other can’t keep anything from!”
“Yeah, if anything you’re an idiot” she said, smiling.
“I might be” you leaned back too and smirked at her. “But I’m your idiot now.” Tara’s stomach churned in the most pleasurable way after hearing your words.
------------------
The rest of the route went by in a blink of an eye. Tara and you had talked most of it through, and you were thankful of her for distracting you from your own thoughts. The note rocked you to your core. There were only a few people who could have known that nickname, but you didn’t see any of them capable of killing someone, let alone mutilate them afterwards. The only one died a year ago. She died a year ago.
When your thoughts would start to eat you up again the car stopped. The cops got out and helped you two leave the vehicle as well. You entered the building and were met with the familiar sight of the white walls and crowded office. You couldn’t remember how many days you spent here nagging and annoying your uncle. Yet he wasn’t here anymore, and the thought made you feel alone. Scared. Overwhelmed. Screaming, shouting, begging for it to end…
As if she read your mind, Tara grabbed your hand and interlocked her fingers with you. You looked down at her and smiled, reassuringly squeezing her hand. The cops started leading you two to what you liked to call; ‘interrogation chamber’ in your youth. Whenever you saw the cops bringing in perps in handcuffs, you would imagine how scary it must be for them. You would chase yourself into a corner of your mind where everything was scary and dark. Where she was still free. Still alive. Your only lifebelt being your uncle, who never failed to help you out of there. Now, the room you were closing in on didn’t seem so bad. It felt safe. Funny how time changes perspectives.
“Y/N?” you heard a familiar voice behind you. Not believing your ears your span around, searching for the source. “Y/N! Hey! How are you? What the hell are you doing here?” The source turned out to be a young man, with red hair and sparkling green eyes. Just like your uncle.
“I could ask you the same thing V.”
“Not even a greeting for your most humble cousin? I must say you’ve cha-“ he got cut off when you hugged him so tightly Tara was worried you might brake some bones. “There she is…” he said, wrapping his own hand around you.
“What happened? I thought you are stationed in Washington!”
“I got transferred here upon my request. Being a legacy of pa helped.”
“Kayoko, you two know each other?” one of the officers asked that were escorting you.
“Not intentionally” Vasco smirked and pushed your shoulder a little. You flinched from the pain. His eyes narrowed and without asking pushed the fabric of your shirt to the side, revealing the bloody bandage that was wrapped around the stitched wound. “What happened?” his voice got serious in an instant.
You took a deep breath before answering. “Me and Tara had been attacked in my apartment.” His eyes widened, suddenly gripping your bicep. “It was Ghostface. Now I’m involved in the homicide of a homeless drunk that also attacked us a day before and gave me this” you held up your arm. The wound narrowed since yesterday, yet it still itched and hurt. “Speaking truly, I was the aggressor that time, but that’s unimportant now.” You almost whispered the last sentence. He huffed and shook his head slightly.
“Just my luck” he shook his head. “The first serious case I get, and my family’s involved.”
“You lead the case?”
“No, Wayne does. You know, father’s old partner.” You nodded, as you did, in fact remember the graying man. “I’m in his team and for once, he didn’t put me in the backline.”
“Wayne as in Wayne Bailey?” Tara interrupted.
“How do you know him?” Vasco asked back.
“He’s the father of her roommate.”
“Quinn or E… Oh wait, no. His son is studying at Princton. So, you are Quinn’s roommate huh?”
“I thought her brother died…” Tara said.
“He did. Sorry, he had two siblings. I thought you would know this.”
“No, she never mentioned two” you said as well.
“Sorry to interrupt Kayoko, but we all have our jobs to do” a officer said. “After picking up their statements, you can have them back.”
“Of course, Stan. Apologies” he said and held his hands up.
Before you were lead away, you hugged him again and decided to throw the big ball into the game. “There was a note for me, pinned to the corpse” you whispered in his ear.
“How do you know it was for you?”
“It was meant for Lolly.”
When you pulled away, you saw his struck state. It looked like he froze down, his eyes full of sorrow as he looked at you “I’ll get to work then” he said, threw you a weak smile, and squeezed your shoulder again, before turning around and walking towards his place.
-------------
You needed to wait a little for Bailey to arrive. He was at the scene and missed you there.
“Stan and Mitch are awfully efficient when they don’t need to be” he huffed as he greeted you warmly. He was just as bright and straight as he always used to, even if time had worn him out a little. With you, at least. Tara was a different world. You remembered how he first acted around you and found resemblance. They just needed to warm up to each other, you thought.
They didn’t. From the point he started picking up your statement, he gave her his coldest self. Sam got there in the middle of interrogation, and her being around didn’t help much either. She looked even more dishevelled than last time as she barged into the room, even though half the police force tried to deny her that. When Tara reassured them that she was with you two, they reluctantly let her stay.
You didn’t know whether Tara wanted to hide what you had from her, so you tried to keep the usual distance, but the young Carpenter was having none of it. Once she got a hold of your hand under the table, she wasn’t letting go. Sam clearly saw but didn’t say anything. The only reaction you saw from her, was the small, almost unnoticeable smile on her concerned face, which you took as a good sign.
You explained everything again to Bailey, this time a bit more calmly and provided more information. You described the attack, the phone call, leaving out some information about you and Tara again. Then came the nickname. The grey man tried to go into the depths, but you dodged every question as your father and uncle had thought you to. Noone besides our loved ones will know about this. The vow you made to them resounded in your head, and you never took yourself for a liar. Noone else needs to know. It just wasn’t necessary.
“Who could want to see you two dead?” he asked with a resigning voice, eyeing you and Tara.
“Cmon’ Bailey, you know me! I’m the most charming person in the world” you teased and leaned back, smirking.
“So, half the city. You?” she asked Tara.
Before answering she shook her head slightly. “Can’t think of anyone who’s still alive.”
“Yikes.” you and Bailey said in unison.
The door opened and Stan showed his head in the door. “FBI’s here, claiming jurisdiction.”
Bailey’s face contorted from confusion. “Where are they?”
He stood and left the room, you quickly following behind. No matter how much time you spent here, it could still surprise you. You have seen federal agents once or twice, but never when they claimed a case for themselves. You were interested, the Carpenter sisters following close behind you. Tara wouldn’t let go of your hand, gently squeezing it, so you couldn’t release it, which you wouldn’t, not even if the world was ending. Especially not if the world was ending.
Three doors later Stan opened a door, motioned inside. A woman stood from one of the chairs, blonde, painted shoulder length hair, combat boots and a black outfit with a black leather jacket. You couldn’t make out what they were talking about, but the woman showed her badge and Bailey clearly didn’t like her. A case was laid open on the table, your and Tara’s picture on top of it. The sisters were talking about something, but you didn’t listen, your eyes focusing on the photograph that was taken of the corpse. It looked weird. Not how it looked when you were there.
Your train of thoughts was disrupted by Sam, who just noticed who was inside. “Kirby?”
“Hey Sam” the blonde woman greeted her and squeezed herself past you and Bailey to hug her. “Tara, and you must be Y/N, right?”
“Your detective skills are impressive” you nodded.
“You are the FBI?” Sam asked.
“You guys know each other?” the graying man asked, after Kirby nodded.
“Yeah. We went to Woodsboro high together” the older Carpenter said. “She was a senior when I was a freshman. “
“We share a certain history, yeah” Kirby agreed. “Look, I’m not trying to get into a jurisdictional pissing contest here, I just want to help” she had a sly smile plastered on her face. “I’ll show you mine” she said, still smiling. “Et cetera.”
You huffed at her words. This was one of the weakest jokes, you have heard today, yet it still made you smile. Kirby had this look of pure confidence and kindness, that made you calm. You looked down at Tara from the corner of your eye and saw her also hiding her grin with her left hand, the other one still holding onto yours.
Bailey scrunched his eyes, but gave in, sharing some information about your statement and about the attack. The woman nodded along, and once he was finished, spoke up. “I already knew about the circumstances of the attack. If we are to catch this maniac, we will have to work together.”
“Yeah, good luck with that!” Sam said, as her patience ran out. “We are getting out of town” to exercise her point, she grabbed Tara’s hand and started leaving the police station. Your heart clenched in a familiar uncomfortable way.
“No!” Tara pulled her hand back and stayed close by your side. “I’m not leaving her behind!” The pain eased a little at her words, yet your mind was screaming for her to leave.
“Also, I can’t let you do that” Bailey cut in. “I’m sorry, but your sister is a person of interest in a homicide. She can’t leave town until the matter is resolved.”
Sam looked at both in disbelief. At Tara because she wanted to stay in a place where a psycho was on the loose, hell bent on hurting her, and at Bailey because of how ridiculous his words have made her feel. There was a maniac on the loose, and they couldn’t leave. They couldn’t leave because of the people that should try to do everything in their might to keep them safe. It was laughable really. When she wanted to word the thoughts that were circling in her head, the lights shut out.
The whole building went dead silent. The only source of light, being the streetlamps outdoors. You felt Tara leaning into you, her heartbeat fastening against your chest. You tightened your grip on her hand, and blinked, so your eyes would adjust to the darkness quicker. There was a hint of smoke in the air, but there was no logical explanation for it. It also smelled like smoke.
A pained scream echoed through the room. The scream of man. After a moment it turned into a growl, becoming ever more silent as something blocked the way of the sound. You heard Bailey and Kirby take out their guns, cocking them, just as all the other cops in the building. You snapped your head in every direction, but you still couldn’t see clearly, only the figures of people. The smoke in the room only got thicker.
A way too familiar voice resounded across the place, filling you with fear. His voice. “Did you miss me, Lolly?”
Another fading scream filled the room, but this time two shots followed it right after. The sound was deafening, and your ears started ringing. You could hear distant orders being barked out even though it came from right next to you, the figures of the two law enforcers disappearing from before you. A million thoughts were blaring through your mind, only some of them useful. Before you could do anything, you felt someone grab your hand and pull you with. After a moment you realised it was Sam, and stopped struggling against her, following her lead. But then she stopped in her tracks.
“No escape for you here, dear.” Ghostface spoke again, from right before you. You looked over Sam and saw him already stabbing towards her. You tried to pull her backwards, but it was too late. The knife sliced into her flesh, a pained groan leaving her mouth as she stumbled back. As you were still pulling her, a cop got between you and him, raising his gun. Three shots were fired, two of them clearly hitting him, but it was as if he didn’t even notice. He lunged forward at his shooter, opening his throat and chest with two precise and fast attacks.
You span around and ran the other way, the Carpenters by your side. The smoke had now filled the entire place, vision impaired. It helped that you had the building memorised by heart, as you took turn after turn. Shots were being fired and the smell of blood mixed with the smell of smoke and gunpowder, creating a metallic, hardly breathable atmosphere.
Then you tripped in something. As you fell, you let go of Tara’s hand and when you looked up, you couldn’t see her no more. You could hear her screaming your name, but you couldn’t answer, the smoke filling your lungs. Then you looked down at what you tripped in. Or as it turned out, who. It was a uniformed cop’s body, struggling for air. He had a stabbed wound in his gorge. Your hands were dripping of his blood, half your clothes soaking in it too. You didn’t know a human could have so much blood in their body, but when you looked around, you saw one more, with also as precise cuts as all the other victims you witnessed. All of them were stabbed at vital organs, or from where they would die in a few seconds or minutes. Not a second wasted.
“Oh, poor Y/N” he said in a condescending voice. “This must be pretty traumatic for you. I almost feel bad.” A hand grabbed your hair and pulled you back by it. “Almost” he whispered in your ear. There was a voice behind the modulator, that was familiar. Your heart skipped a beat after realisation hit you. But that couldn’t be possible. It just couldn’t!
You slumped back to the ground when she suddenly let go of your hair. You looked back behind you, seeing her figure falling onto her back. Another woman stood above you, and you could take out Sam’s boots. She grabbed you, pulled you up and started running, not even waiting for you to be able to catch your balance, just pulled you after her. She barged through a door, that led you to the Northern stairs, where Tara was waiting, tears running down her cheek. She was coughing hard, trying to swallow air desperately, yet she couldn’t. You looked at Sam for a moment, and after you saw one of her hands was occupied with a gun, you picked up Tara in your hands and started running down the stairs, three steps a time.
The ground floor looked similar in its form, but there was no smoke here. Bodies were scattered around the place, some of them civilians, some of them cops. All of them dead. You traced over the room, searching for a specific table, and once you found it ran towards it, leaning Tara against it.
“Y/N what the hell are you doing?!” Sam was trying her best not to snap at you.
“Tara’s going to suffocate if we don’t do something” you answered, opening drawer after drawer to find the item you were looking for. “To our “luck”, Private Alice always holds an inhaler at her desk in case her asthma ever comes back.” Sam accepted this, and turned towards the places Ghostface could come after you.
You found it in the fourth drawer and immediately turned towards the younger Carpenter. You aided her to take it in her mouth and pressed down a few times, just to be sure. She looked at you gratefully after. Her coughing died down slowly, and you helped her up. That’s when you noticed that everything was quiet. No shooting, no footsteps above you, nothing. Was everybody dead?
As to answer that question, the door of the staircase opened, and a very dishevelled looking Kirby stumbled into the room, followed by Bailey and two other cops. You sighed in relief when you saw Vasco in their group. The greying man barked out some orders, and Vasco and two others walked over to you, surrounding the three of you, whilst he and the rest of the cops marched out. Kirby joined him, her gun also raised, eyeing every corner before she disappeared behind a wall.
“Vasco, what the hell is going on?” you asked, suddenly feeling very weak.
“He jumped out a window, after we surrounded him” he said, very quiet. Why was he so quiet?
Then he threw you a glance. The glance, turned into a full-blown stare, his face horrified. You saw his mouth opening, but no notes hit your ear. Your side throbbed of pain, and you looked over to see, why. When you saw the opening that had been carved into you, you did nothing. Nothing else than stare at it, whilst feeling your vision darkening, and getting weaker and weaker. The floor came quicker than you could realise, why it was even getting closer. Suddenly you felt the floor hit you with all it’s might before everything became dark.

Shattered Unity
[Fragment One: I] [Fragment One: II]
Synopsis: Jill Roberts had everything, a perfect house, with a perfect family and a perfect little sister, who she cared for far more than she realised.
Pairings: Jill Roberts x Sister! Reader
Word Count: 2k
Warnings: nothing so far :) some sibling fluff
34 Elm Street epitomized the pinnacle of luxury in Woodsboro, an affluent community coveted by all. The neighborhood itself exuded an aura of safety, lined with sycamores and white picket fences. In the middle of it all stood the Roberts household, bustling with the loud sounds of a typical Monday morning.
Jill rolled over in her plush bed, pulling her pillow over her ears to block out the loud noise of her alarm. Letting out a deep groan, her arms fumbled around until they found the snooze button. Her eyelids fluttered shut again, aiming to steal a few more precious moments of sleep until a sudden crash echoed from downstairs.
"Sweetheart!" Her mother's voice reverberated through the house. "Are you okay?"
Jill could hear her little sister mumbling something in response, probably attempting to make herself breakfast. She always had this habit of striving for independence. Jill stretched, her long black hair cascading as she released it from the loose bun of the night before. Running her fingers through the tangles, she slipped into a pair of jeans and rummaged through her wardrobe in search of a shirt. As Jill swung her door open, the sound of small feet scampering up the stairs reached her ears. It seemed her sister had an uncanny sixth sense for detecting when Jill was awake.
"Jill!" Her little form came barreling around the corner, running toward Jill's feet. Her face lit up when she saw her sister. "I made you pancakes," she announced proudly. Jill laughed and asked if that was what the crash was. The little one hid her face in Jill's shirt, her speech muffled by the fabric. "I might have dropped the pan." Jill ruffled her hair before manoeuvring around her to start going downstairs.
The kitchen bore the aftermath of a culinary hurricane—flour dusted every available surface, eggshells added a crunch underfoot, and a symphony of pots and bowls occupied the sink. Amidst this chaos sat a plate of hastily assembled pancakes, syrup awaiting its inevitable deployment. As Jill cautiously surveyed the scene, her foot met an unexpected puddle of milk, sending a shiver up her spine as the sock soaked up the liquid.
Suppressing a sigh, Jill turned her attention to her sister, ready to issue a gentle reprimand. However, before she could speak, (Y/n) beat her to it with a spirited declaration. "Don't worry, Jill! I'm cleaning it all up after I eat. I just wanted to make sure you had something to eat before Kirby picks you up." Her bright smile melted any lingering frustration, reminding Jill why (Y/n) was her undeniable soft spot.
"You're such a little troublemaker, (Y/n)," Jill joked, pulling off her damp sock. She walked to the kitchen table, grabbing a few pancakes to smother in syrup. (Y/n) climbed onto the stool beside her big sister, looking at her intently. "Speaking of Kirby, do you think I can say hi when she comes to pick you up? I want to show her the picture I drew of us three!" Jill looked over, shocked at her sister, talking with a mouthful of pancake. "You drew a picture of me?" (Y/n) corrected her, saying it was all three of them together, but Jill's mind was elsewhere. All (Y/n) ever drew was puppies and rainbows—childish things. Never had Jill seen her draw a person, never mind her.
Jill's fork hovered mid-air, laden with syrup-soaked pancake, as she stared at (Y/n) with wide eyes. The surprise etched across her face deepened, a mix of disbelief and genuine awe. For a moment, she was caught in the realization that her little sister had moved beyond the realm of fluffy animals and sunny scenes, venturing into something far more personal.
"You drew a picture of me?" Jill repeated, as if the words needed confirmation. The syrup dripped slowly back onto the plate, forgotten in her slackened grip. (Y/n)'s innocent nod was met with an almost incredulous smile from Jill, as if the simple act of portraying her in a drawing was a revelation.
"(Y/n), that's... incredible," Jill finally managed, her tone carrying a mix of surprise and warmth. The thought that her sister had chosen to illustrate her, amid all the subjects she could have picked, lingered in the air like a sweet revelation.
"I'll show it to you!" (Y/n)'s syrup-sticky hands seized Jill's, leading her in an eager ascent up the stairs, their footsteps an echo of shared laughter. The little haven at the top, (Y/n)'s room, painted in every shade of pink. It was a sanctuary of innocence, adorned with unicorns, magical creatures, and the captured moments of their life.
The walls told stories in crayon and glitter drawings, tales of a childhood untainted by the complexities of the world beyond. Pictures of Jill and (Y/n), frozen in time, grinned back at them. Jill couldn't help but notice the subtle nostalgia woven into the room, a familiar echo of her own youth. The glow-in-the-dark stars overhead seemed to promise dreams as pure and boundless as the universe itself.
Most of the toys strewn across the floor were remnants of Jill's childhood, a nostalgic scatter of innocence now usurped by time. Yet, what tugged at Jill's heartstrings most was the teddy bear lying on the bed, a mirror image of the one resting in her own room. (Y/n) never ventured anywhere without that bear. It was a shared relic, a testament to a bond forged in the simplicity of happier times.
As Jill sank into memories, the room became a vessel of echoes. Most vivid was the recollection of a day long past, a shopping trip with her father to find the perfect gift for baby (Y/n). The brown bear, soft and fluffy, had captured Jill's heart. She pleaded with her father to let her have one too. That day marked the last fragment of happiness she could recall with him.
A small shake brought Jill back to the present. She found herself gently pushed to sit on the edge of the bed. (Y/n) darted to the desk by the door, the chaotic rustle of pages scattering in her wake. Amidst the flurry, a small sound of excitement at her discovery. (Y/n) rushed back, concealing a page behind her back, anticipation dancing in her eyes.
Jill was presented with a page, a kaleidoscope of waxy stripes in every imaginable color. Amidst the vibrant chaos, three figures took center stage. Two of them stood at a similar height, towering protectively over a smaller figure nestled between them. A soft smile graced Jill's lips as she looked at her younger sister, who returned the gaze with anticipation sparkling in her eyes.
Gently, Jill pulled (Y/n) into her arms, the paper the only barrier between then. She whispered softly in her sister's ear, "Kirby's going to love this."
Kirby's car rushed into the driveway of the Roberts household, letting out a loud beep that echoed in the quiet neighborhood. As Jill stepped onto the front porch, the car's blaring music masked the sounds around them.
"Before you get in the car, you need to promise not to kill me!" Kirby shouted over the music, quickly turning it off as Jill approached.
"Why?" Jill asked, walking closer to the passenger door, while her sister eagerly ran toward the car. "What did you do?"
"Trevor called me last night," Kirby explained, and Jill's face twisted in disgust. "Why is he calling you?" She leaned down, poking her head through the car window, while (Y/n) stood on her tiptoes to get Kirby's attention.
"Because you won't take his calls, he knows I have you here and he wants to know," Kirby said. Jill opened the door with a roll of her eyes, and Kirby shifted her focus to (Y/n), greeting her with a warm, "Hi pumpkin!"
Ignoring Kirby's attempt to divert the conversation, Jill pressed, "Know what?" Kirby's eyes darted away from (Y/n), who stood eagerly waiting to share something. "How upset you are." She finished.
Olivia hopped into the backseat of the car, engaging Jill in conversation about Trevor. While they chatted, Kirby shifted her attention to the younger Roberts sister, who stood patiently at the door. With an exuberant greeting, she handed Kirby a piece of paper, saying, "I drew this for you!" Kirby smiled at the young girl, touched by the fact that her best friend's younger sister cared enough to create a drawing. "It’s me, you, and Jill," she explained, her eyes lighting up with enthusiasm.
"It’s amazing, (Y/n)!" Kirby examined the drawing carefully before placing it on the dashboard. "When I get home from school, it’s going straight up on my refrigerator," she promised with a smile. (Y/n) beamed at this news. Kirby glanced at the time; if they didn’t leave now, they’d be late. “We have to go, pumpkin. Have a good day at school!” she called out as she watched (Y/n) run back into the house, waving back to the girls as she did and Jill shut the car door.
Olivia rolled her eyes from the back seat, letting out a scoff. She had something against Jill’s sister ever since she accidentally broke her cell two years ago. Olivia opened her mouth to state something when Jill quickly turned to face her, her stare cold and harsh, quickly shutting Olivia up. She huffed, “I wasn’t going to say anything about your sister!” Her arms raised in the air in defense.
Jill let a small smirk grace her lips; she could see Olivia was lying. “Really!” She turned back to the front, glancing at her through the rearview mirror. Jill wanted to see what kind of stupid story Olivia would attempt to create to dig herself out of the hole she made. “What was it you were going to say?”
Olivia stumbled over her words, desperately trying to come up with a story that would fit, but she couldn’t. “Fine!” She bowed her head in defeat. “But it’s not a crime to dislike your sister; she's just so...” She trailed off, seeing Jill's glare. “Clingy.”
The pulsating beat of a song jolted all three girls from their conversation. Jill's cellphone buzzed near her feet, prompting her to fish it out of her bag. As Olivia grumbled about the ringtone, Jill examined the caller ID.
"Why is Jenny Randall calling me?"
Both Kirby and Olivia shrugged, as Jenny wasn't someone they interacted with frequently.
"I don't know. I don't like Jenny Randall. She threw up on me at Tony Marshall's luau," Olivia interjected. Kirby rolled her eyes, and as Jill answered the phone, "That luau was freshman year!" Kirby turned to Olivia, who threw up her hands, “I didn't say my anger was rational!"
Both girls redirected their attention to Jill upon hearing her asking about the caller. Kirby returned her focus to the road, stealing glances at Jill's now irritated expression. "What does she want?" Jill ignored her friend's question, continuing to reprimand the mysterious caller. "Where’s Jenny?" Confusion deepened on the faces of Kirby and Olivia. Was Jenny Randall attempting to prank call Jill? Jill lowered the volume of the car's music. "Who is this?"
Kirby listened intently to the voice on the other end. It resonated deep and rough, like gravel on the highway. Certainly not Jenny Randall. Panic crept over Jill's face as she abruptly declared, “I’m hanging up.”
After a brief pause, Jill turned to her friends. "That was so weird. I just got a prank call from Jenny Randall." Olivia promptly interrupted with her own story, but Jill remained silent, appearing uninterested. "Jenny Randall is weird. Her and her little Marnie the Carny friend are freaks!" Glancing at Jill, who sat somewhat diminished in her seat and gazing out the window, Kirby sensed Jill might be anxious about her sister after such a peculiar call. Olivia continued to ramble on, it was very clearly not helping Jill. Kirby sighed before trying to reassure Jill.
"It's massacre week. People go looney, remember?"

"Screaming Until Dawn" chapters one and two are up.
Title says it all, but for the long version, the first two chapters of my Scream/Until Dawn crossover are finally up.
Link to chapter one and chapter two
Summary: "Spin-off and midquel to Unlife is Strange; and part of The Fog of Worlds Saga
In 2011, Kirby Reed pulled through a with death. and dreamt she was a girl named "Sam". In 2015, Samantha Giddings pulled through a brush with death, and dreamt she was a girl named "Kirby".
In 2016, both Kirby and Samantha have put those "dreams" behind them, and with the radical changes in their lives, tried to focus on their college career. But when an unfamiliar voice calls Sam "Kirby", and Kirby "Sam" both girls set out on a mission to get to the bottom of these dreams.
A mission that causes the lives of Kirby, Sam and their places in their world to blur, as something from beyond calls to them."
Ships include: Sam x Jessica x Emily - as per Unlife is Strange, they have a "Friends With Benefits/Open relationship, functioning the main pairing here. Some LIS characters will be featured, mostly as supporting or background characters, so this story also features Pricefield and Chasemarsh, even if it's not prominent.
Kirby isn't really paired with anyone here - the only character I serious ship Kirby with is with Sam Carpenter (which is probably gonna stump me when I write Kirby's interactions with Sam Giddings). I imagine Kirby's "love life" as mostly consisting of "no strings attached" flings, or dates that fizzle out before of the night.
Content Warning: Canon typical violence and horror elements; This story also nudity, eventual smut down the line. Not sure if it'll go into PWP territory. This story will also feature supernatural elements, but I'll try not to go overboard with it.
For more of what to expect, here's the initial preview, but to give a quick rundown...
----
I plan on making this a shorter story - about five or seven chapters max - but it's something I've been cooking up for over a year. While I plan on wrapping up Mission To Silas before the year is over, I thought I'd get to work on this "side story" as well.
The original idea started out as "What if Kirby Reed/Sam Giddings experienced eachothers lives through dreams, and what if those dreams pulled them together ?" The idea then grew from there.
As said this is a spin of Unlife is Strange - being a midquel set between the present day (2020) storyline, and Rachel's flashback arc in LA/Seattle (2014/2015). Set in 2016, we focus on Sam attempting to take a sabbatical from the FBC following the LA/Seattle case. (To see that case, and Sam and Emily's involvement, read Unlife's chapters: "9 Crimes" and "Rachel & Steph").
Meanwhile, we follow Kirby years after Scream 4 when she is preparing to enroll to the FBI as the sole survivor of her friend group. While Kirby attempts to isolate herself following her survival, Sam has become more lively and outgoing. Despite the different lives, they are pulled down the same road as a result of someone or something from each other's lives calling to them.
I had to split the initial first chapter into two, because it had a whole lot going on at once; especially for something that would have been nearly two hours long. But I found the first half should be enough to establish things so far.
Because of this split, the first chapter is an introduction of Sam, Kirby and their connection, while chapter two the actual inciting incident; when something from another side calls to them, and Sam and Kirby's lives begin to blend together.
In the meantime, I'm gonna be juggling this story with Unlife is Strange and Mission to Silas, so chapter three may take a while. On a good run, it normally takes me a few weeks to a month to get a chapter ready in any of my stories, and I REALLY want to finish Mission by the end of the year.

Kirby is your best friend, but recently she’s realized she likes you more than a friend should. She’s been avoiding you and Charlie, too afraid to make things weird between the three of you, unknowingly making things weirder.
“Honey! I’m home!” Kirby calls as she enters your house, drunk off her ass after another lame party.
But you’re not anywhere to be found. Your house is usually empty, your parents aren’t home much, but usually you’re on the couch watching something. Since she’s met you, your house has been her home away from home.
Tired and drunk, she makes her way to your room. You’re not there either, and she quickly scrolls through her contacts to find your number. She puts you on speaker, clumsily taking off her clothes to crawl into your bed.
“Hello?” Your tired voice crackles over the line.
“Where are you?” Kirby asks, her voice whinier than intended.
“I’m at Charlie’s. Why?” Your voice a whisper now.
“Because you’re not home and I just left a party,” she answers, patting the empty space beside her where your body usually is.
“Are you at my house?”
“Yes, I miss you.”
“I miss you too, I’ll be home tomorrow, okay?”
“Okay.”
“Goodnight.”
“Goodnight, I love you,” she says, turning over to face away from the empty space in your bed.
“I love you too,” you say, hanging up.
You don’t get home as early as you thought you would. Charlie kept you longer than you anticipated, and by the time you get home, Kirby is already gone. She doesn’t answer your texts until after you get out of the shower, letting you know you can come over.
Just like Kirby feels comfortable waltzing into your house unannounced, you walk into hers using a spare key she gave you. Her parents are at home about as much as yours are, which isn’t much. Probably why the two of you gravitate towards each other so much.
“Kirby?” You call, making your way towards her room.
“Yeah?” She answers from her bed.
“How are you feeling?” You ask, joining her on the bed.
“Mm, not great,” she says, which you expected since she forgets to drink water and take aspirin after drinking.
“That’s what you get, party animal,” you tease, wrapping your arms around her when she moves to embrace you.
“If Charlie didn’t steal you away from me I wouldn’t be hurting so much,” she says, her serious tone revealing the underlying meaning.
“Don’t blame him,” you say, and she can hear the frown in your voice.
“Has he even taken you out on a date?” She asks, holding you tighter to her.
“Yes, he took me to see Paranormal Activity 3,” you answer matter-of-factly.
“How romantic,” she remarks sarcastically.
“If you’re just gonna insult my boyfriend–” you begin to say.
“Your boyfriend?” Kirby interrupts you, surprised by the label.
“I’m leaving,” you say, moving out of her hold and off the bed.
“No, don’t leave,” she says, moving after you.
“No, Kirby. You don’t get to ignore me and Charlie after a night like that, then call me drunk because you showed up to my house and for once I wasn’t there,” you say, leaving her room before she can respond.
Charlie’s hair is soft, a surprise since you know for a fact the only products he uses are drugstore shampoo and conditioner. His head rests on your stomach, allowing you to play with his hair as the two of you watch some classics. The way he talks about the effects, the slasher backstories, and the behind the scenes stories reminds you of your movie nights with Kirby.
“Babe?” Charlie asks in a soft voice.
“Hm?” You respond with a hum.
“Are you tired? Wanna go to bed?” He asks, checking on you.
“No, just spaced out a bit I guess,” you say, hands still messing with his hair.
“Have you talked to Kirby?” He asks, turning over so that he can face you. “I’ll take that as a yes,” he laughs when you answer with a sour expression on your face.
“I don’t get how she can be so dense,” you say with a sigh.
“Love makes you stupid I guess,” he jokes.
“Does that make me stupid?” You laugh.
“Extremely,” he says, moving up to kiss you.
Charlie knows there’s something between you and Kirby, even before the intimate night the three of you shared. It confused him, because you treated him just as you treated Kirby, and Kirby treated him just like she treated you. It hurt both of you when she began to distance herself, and the two of you only had each other to turn to.
Kirby hates that she can’t bring herself to make things right between you. She throws herself into Jill and Olivia’s bullshit, hoping their mundane, heteronormative boy troubles will distract her from you and Charlie. But she still can’t bring herself to skip Stab-A-Thon. Olivia, and Jill and Trevor are going anyway, it’d be weird if she didn’t go too.
It’s a big turnout, the most popular Cinema Club event of the year, crowds of intoxicated teens waiting for the movies to start. She watches you and Charlie throughout the night, following the two of you up to the hayloft towards the end of the first movie. After some liquid courage, she feels brave enough to confront the two of you.
She’s not sure why she expected something different, following you both to the somewhat secluded space. But she didn’t expect to see you on your knees with Charlie’s cock down your throat. Her body moves before she realizes, mouth speaking words she hadn’t even thought.
“You are such a slut,” she says, her hand landing on Charlie’s shoulder as she stops beside the two of you, startling you both. “Oh, don’t stop on my account,” she says when your head stops bobbing. “Keep going, good girl,” she praises, her hand moving to the back of your head to set a rhythm for you.
“You know, you’re really lucky Charlie,” Kirby says, her grip tightening on his shoulder. “Most guys’ don’t have such easy cocksluts for a girlfriend, barely ever get blowjobs,” she says over his whimpers, moving your head faster.
“She’s not a slut,” he says, voice breathy as Kirby continues to move your mouth on him like a toy.
“Aw, that’s sweet,” she coos, meeting your teary eyes. “But just look at her,” she says, turning his head down to watch the drool spill out the sides of your mouth and onto your exposed cleavage, his eyes trailing lower to see the hand not holding his thigh under your skirt, touching yourself over your panties.
“Fuck,” Charlie whines, throwing his head back in pleasure.
“You gonna cum?” Kirby asks, taunting him.
“Uh-huh,” he moans, hands grabbing your head as Kirby continues controlling your movements.
“Go ahead, cum down her throat. Make her swallow it all,” she says, holding your head still as his hips move on their own, chasing his release.
Tears stream down your face as you gag around his cock, the tip bruising the back of your throat, nails scratching his thighs from the force. You do your best to swallow it all, but some spills out the sides of your mouth, following the trail of drool down to your tits. Finally, they let you go, watching your pretty face relax from the facefuck you just received.
“Pretty girl, come here,” Kirby instructs, patting her thigh as she sits on a bale of hay.
You crawl over to her on your hands and knees, too weak to stand. Charlie sits on the floor next to her, his head laying against the outside of her thigh, watching you straddle her thigh. She tucks the hem of your skirt into the waistband, exposing your damp panties.
“Poor thing,” she says with faux sympathy, rocking your hips back and forth. “Bet you wish he was fucking your cunt instead.”
“Please!” You cry, holding onto her forearms when she bounces you on her thigh, your clit rubbing against the fabric of your panties and the denim of her jeans euphorically.
“Shh, don’t wanna get caught, do you?” She says, hands gripping your hips tighter to keep you moving at a steady rhythm. “Charlie, play with her tits,” she says, watching you bite your knuckles in an attempt to keep quiet.
“So beautiful,” he praises, pulling your top and bra down to expose your chest. “Fucking perfect,” he says, cupping your breasts, tweaking your nipples, and kneading the flesh.
Your belly flares with heat, grinding your slick cunt against Kirby’s thigh in desperation. She’s moving your hips forcefully, holding you tighter as you attempt to move on your own as you approach your orgasm. Your hands cup her jawline gently, connecting your lips in a messy kiss as you reach your high, your moans muffled by her mouth.
“Feel better?” She asks, watching your thighs twitch as you ride out your orgasm.
“No,” you whine, dropping your head to avoid her gaze.
“No?” She echoes your answer, surprised.
“How can she feel better when you’re just gonna ignore us tomorrow?” Charlie asks, massaging your shaking legs.
“I won’t–” Kirby begins to say.
“If you just want to fool around, that’s fine,” you interrupt her. “But this will be the last time, because I love you and I can’t keep doing this if you expect there to be no strings attached.”
“You love me? But you and Charlie–” she tries to say.
“Think three’s a party,” Charlie interrupts her this time.
“So, do you wanna be our girlfriend?” You ask, holding Charlie’s hand for reassurance.
“Gladly,” she answers, wrapping her arms around you when you lunge forward to hug her.
“Can I?” You ask, tracing the button of her jeans when you separate.
“Sure,” she says, watching you strip her bottom half and settle between her thighs, Charlie slowly moving behind you.

—who I write as✨
this goes for RP; I usually prefer 1x1 or a small group of like 5-10 people. Large RPG’s give me anxiety. This also goes for any Fanfiction requests. I’ll be posting some of my work here soon so you guys can tell me whether I should quit or not. 😂 JK but constructive feedback is always appreciated. Just don’t be an asshole for the sake of being an asshole.

Scream fanfiction
word count: 4,9k
warnings: blood, canon typical violence, death, graphic scenes, death of a main character, Scream 6 spoilers, not greatly written madness arc, spoilers for all the Screams, madness, angst, loss, sorrow and anguish, not native english speaker writing, mad!Sam
Summary: You leave Woodsboro with your girlfriend and friends, just for your past to chase after. Sam is dancing on the edge of despair.
a.n.: Been working on this for a little while. The base idea was mine, but @chefboiblobbies helped a lot with giving me inspiration, and being the most wholesome human one could wish for while writing. Thanks a lot!
a.n.2.: This was NOT planned to be this angsty when I started writing. Still, love that it turned out this way. Lil' "fluff" at the end! Also I'm not a native english person, don't stone me for writing something badly please.
Pairing(s): Tara Carpenter x fem!Reader
---------------------------------------------------
When Tara met you in Woodsboro high school, she never expected to fall for you. Yet she did. Hard. It didn’t require much time for you to ask her out too. Love was in the air, and it was as if you were meant together. You carried her books for her, got overprotective when Wes showed up and chased away her bullies more than once. Mindy made sure to let you know how cute you two looked which always resulted in Tara hiding in your neck, red from embarrassment.
Then she got attacked. You never left the hospital neither her side, not once. When Ghostface came for her, you stood beside her and got carved up. Again. For this happened to you before. Everybody in Woodsboro knew this. You were one of the survivors of the last attacks, when your sister and Charlie Walker decided to follow the tradition of the town. When the big reveal happened, Jill stabbed you and left you to die. The events still haunt you in your dreams.
After what happened then, you were offered to move in with Kirby, and you gladly accepted. She made sure to be the sister that you lost and helped you in any way possible. You were often visited by Gale and Sydney too, to make sure everything is okay. Everything was certainly not okay, but you managed just fine. You started high school two years after Kirby finished it.
Tara and you met on her first year at Woodsboro high. She was so lost it was almost written on her face, so you offered to help which she gladly accepted. After that you took her around school, showed her around. You quickly became friends, and you joined her friend circle as well. Until then, you were more like a lonely island with walls raised so high, the sun couldn't be seen at the top. The moment you two started getting along, these walls crumbled down like they were made of cards that got blown at.
You were so scared for her when you got the news from the police about the attack. You rushed to the hospital and barged in her room, not caring about the angry voices behind you. She was sleeping peacefully, her heartbeat monitors beeping at a steady state. You held her hand until she waked, high from all the painkillers she got. She was even cuter now. Cute, beautiful, and fragile. You wanted nothing more than to protect her. You got the chance to do that, not long after.
When Ghostface came after her, Dewey managed to shoot the killer three times with your help. You got stabbed the same amount beforehand, trying to protect Tara from the deadly blade. Then the late sheriff made the mistake of confronting the killer alone.
The shared trauma bonded you two even more. There wasn’t a night that you spent apart after the events cuddling and sleeping together, fearing to ever lose to other. When on Sam's decision they moved to New York, you followed suit, making sure to live close to them. Late night calls from Tara were often. Her nightmares always making her shiver and tremble until she was in your arms.
One day you were cuddling together in her bed, watching a movie. You were both relaxed, leaving the memories behind. You thought it was in the past now. You thought you would be able to move on, continue with your life. You were wrong.
---------------------------------------------------
After the grocery store, Sam didn't know who to trust. The movement of Ghostface was familiar. Her father's voice inside her head told her it was someone she loved. She ignored him.
She was dazed while Bailey questioned them. Didn't know where to look, what to do. She told him her alibi, then stayed in dead silence, half-listening to what you and Tara were saying.
When Bailey left and you two started to follow suit, she also joined. Her mind was still hazy and full of rage. She didn't know what to do with it. It was as if it were bottled up in her, but she couldn't take of the cap.
"Kirby!" She heard you exclaim in surprise. "What are you doing here?"
"Hello Y/N" she said before also acknowledging the other two women in the hallway.
"You know each other?" Bailey asked.
"Yes. Sam was a junior in Woodsboro high when I was a senior. With Y/N, we've known each other since..." Kirby stopped clearing her throat and looking at you. "Well, since 2011" she finished.
"She and her family looked out for me after my sister decided to end ours... I can't be more thankful for that" you said as you walked up to hug her tightly. She didn't protest and hugged you back.
"I've missed you" she sighed.
"Me too" you said, poking your chin into her neck. "But you haven't answered my question. What are you doing here?"
"I would really like to know that too" Bailey said, inching a little closer.
"I take special interest in Ghostface cases" Kirby started. "Last year I wasn't allowed to do my job for being too green, but now I got clearance. I'll help with your investigation detective."
When you walked back to the Carpenters Sam asked you; "How much do you trust her?"
You looked back, disbelief flooding your face. "With my heart and soul. She would never hurt me in any way shape or form." You answered when you realised, she was really awaiting an answer.
"Good."
---------------------------------------------------
The events unfolded way quicker than Sam would have liked it. Anika and Quinn were dead, killed by Ghostface in her apartment. Bailey has crumbled to pieces. Tara and you were glued together, Mindy was furious and exhausted. To make matters worse for Sam, Gale showed up again offering her help. She enjoyed the reporter's presence but she was high up on the suspect list.
Gale was nice with you as always, making sure you were okay or at least healthy. Of course you were not okay, your best friend, Quinn died. How does someone deal with that?
The reporter leaded the group to a cinema, where Sam tensed. Memories flashed through her mind that weren't hers. To add to the plate, her father was back again, whispering and influencing her in ways that seemed more and more acceptable.
Objects of the late Ghostface killings were displayed. The television, that ended Stu Macher, the blade your sister had used, even blueprints and drawings of the original house. Everything was here.
You had episodes too. Memories of that fateful night at Kirby's old house. Your sister's face as she grinned at you raised her hand and... You cut it out. Turned around and didn't look back until you left the stage to comfort your shaken girlfriend.
---------------------------------------------------
After the attack on Gale both you and Sam were on your heels. You both wanted revenge and with Tara’s idea, a plan was formed. It wasn’t that complicated; the only thing for you to do was to stay vigilant the whole time. The grid hallway would trap anyone who would come inside after you and then Kirby would shoot them. No compromise, no jail, and no police. With Mindy and Ethan being cut of from the team, you started without them. Kirby locked the shaft and held onto the gun. Sam protested but the agent wouldn’t hear any of it.
Kirby decided to sweep the are one more time, before getting comfortable. Tara and Chad went to the bar of the cinema, to try and find something edible. Sam, drawn by an invisible force went upstage to the mannequins. You followed her, trying hard not to look at that robe.
Sam kept walking towards the middle figure. Step by step she got closer, the air around her suddenly becoming suffocating. Her heartbeat was out the roof once she pressed her fingers lightly on the glass door. Then she saw his face, reflecting at her. Wide warm smile on his face as if he was welcoming her home. Maybe he was.
“All hail Sam Loomis!” he said “You know there’s only one way this will end for good. With you, finishing my job.”
“Shut up” she mumbled effortlessly.
“Sammy, Sammy, Sammy… You just don’t learn, do you?” he asked. “Pick up my legacy and finish the job.”
“Please…”
“He isn’t wrong you know” this was a new voice. A woman’s voice coming from behind her. Sam turned around and saw herself, just older. No, this wasn’t her. This was… “When I tried to get revenge for my pretty boy, they killed me and made a movie out of it!” Nancy’s voice was low, full of hatred. “But you! You still have the chance to avenge our family!”
“N-“ Sam started but was cut of again by yet another new voice.
“They don’t deserve to live!” her voice sounded familiar. Sam turned right, to see who’s speaking and found you. No, this wasn’t you either. “They all cheated death. What makes them think they can escape his cold, white grasp?”
“That’s the catch!” Billy spoke again and chuckled. “No one can! No matter if they die sooner, so this may not happen again and let others live for more! It doesn’t mean a thing. Why protect them then?”
“There really is no point babe!” now, Sam knew who this was coming from. It haunted her in her dreams and made her days miserable as well. “Why wouldn’t you hunt down and slice up those, who have wronged you? Just think about all the slicing you could do. It felt good to slice me up, didn’t it?"
Yes.
“Imagine how good it would feel to kill your haters.” Amber spoke from beside Richie. “Oh! What a gran finale that would be!”
“You would be a star!” Charlie appeared. “Loved by everyone!”
No. Feared!
“Feared would be even better wouldn’t it Sammy?” Billy spoke as if he heard her thoughts. Maybe he did. Maybe he was right.
“We all know failure, there is no denying it” Roman said. “You could beat everyone of us! The one that got away. The one that finished the job. The one that could kill Sydney fuckin’ Prescott.”
“Now wouldn’t that be just… Liberating?” said Mickey while gently caressing her back.
Maybe.
Sam could feel his hand getting grabbed and yanked upward. As she turned towards the man who yanked her arm, she could feel shaky breathing on her fingers. Stu was holding her half laughing, half panting. Maniac smile plastered on his face. “The moment when the knifey enters the body! It’s so… Uplifting!” he yelled and threw her hand up, to prove himself. “You know I’m right.” he growelled.
Yes.
“You’ve felt it” Billy joined in the chanting.
Yes!
“And you want to taste it again” almost all of them were yelling at this point.
And again, and again, and again.
“Finish the job…” Billy said, looking deeply in her eyes.
Before Sam could answer him, she got turned around, away from the glass. You were holding her shoulders, lightly shaking her up.
---------------------------------------------------
You needed to do something. Sam had been staring at her father’s robes for almost five minutes now mumbling and shaking. So, you did the only thing you could. You grabbed her by her shoulders and yanked her away.
Something changed in her. You saw it the moment she turned and broke the trans state she got in. Your brain could register Tara's laughter in the distance, but you didn't pay attention to it right now. Sam's eyes were burning with hatred, and you weren't sure it was not directed towards you.
"Everything okay?" You asked, worry in your voice.
She didn't answer, just looked at you like you asked her whether she wants to die. After a few moments, her eyes widened, and her expressions softened. She put one of her hands on your shoulder reassuringly and spoke quietly.
"Yes. Sorry for that. I just..."
She couldn't finish her sentence, because her phone rang, Bailey showing up on the screen. You pointed towards it, gesturing for her to pick up. She nodded and pressed the green button on the screen.
"Hel..." she started, but was interrupted again, frustration washing over her face. You could hear Bailey's voice but couldn't make out what he said. It was something about Kirby and the FBI. Sam's expression changed to fear, to anger and then to determination. She hung up, ripped open her father's cabinet and picked up the bloody knife. She looked at you in disbelief, like she was reconciling something.
"You said you vouch for Kirby being on our side!"
"Because she is!" You said, your voice trembling with fear at the recognition of her words.
"Well, Bailey just told me she was suspended from the FBI a year ago, for unpredictable behaviour" Sam told you. "She was lying to us this whole time!"
What? How could this be? Could Kirby really be a cold-blooded killer? The woman who treated you like her sister when yours turned out to be a psycho. The one that protected you and took care of you after the events of 2011. It couldn't be. It can't be.
"Well, she very much looks guilty now" Sam answered you. As it turns out, that last part, you said out loud.
You couldn't move from the shock. It was as if you were glued to the ground, the weight of pressure finally nailing you down. You didn't even register Sam storming of to find Kirby. You couldn't comprehend anything that was happening around you. It was like if the robes around you faces had, all of them staring you down. One of them was smiling. Oh, how you missed that smile.
She was there, in the place of the mannequin. Her hair messy like the last time you saw her, knife in hand. Sydney on the floor, under her watchful gaze. There were other bodies, but none of them recognisable. The moment flashed vividly before you. Your sisters face changed when she understood what you were seeing. Her smile turned from the one that you loved so much to one that you feared. One you were terrified of. The same she stabbed you with more times you wanted to remember.
"Looks like our friend finally came to her senses" Jill said as she started to giggle. The giggling quickly turned into laughter, then to shrieking. You dropped to your knees, crying, screaming at her to stop. She didn't. You could feel the other Ghostfaces moving from their places behind you, each having the same purpose; to slice you up like they did to Quinn.
You were crumbling on the floor, the weight feeling impossibly heavy, when a scream woke you. You turned to its direction. It came from the bar. Why was that important? Oh right, your girlfriend was there. Why did that matter?
It hit you like a train. In seconds you were running to the others. The sight that welcomed you was worse than what you lived through just moments ago. Two Ghostfaces had Chad on his knees, taking turns on striking their knifes into him. Tara was held back by a frozen Sam, Kirby nowhere to be seen. You rushed towards the Carpenters, pulling them backwards but for no avail. Sam was rooted to her space, holding onto Tara so hard, you were afraid for her. Blood was pumping in your ear, muffling the sounds of the Ghostfaces work and Tara's pleads and screams.
You tried again, this time more forcefully. You didn't expect what would happen. With lightning speed, Sam shoved you forcefully backwards, pushing Tara back as well. Then she shot out with a speed you have never seen yet. In just milliseconds she threw herself onto one of the attackers, tackling them. Then she strook down with the knife.
You couldn't believe your eyes. The other Ghostface quickly threw Chad to the floor, trying to help his accomplice but he wasn't successful. Sam blocked the attack by punching away the hand that held the knife and plunged her own inside of him, tearing on his robes. He fell over, a feminine scream leaving her. Sam was over her in an instant, driving her blade into her once again. The other threw himself onto Sam getting her off her. When he tried to stab her, she punched him in the neck and tried to disarm him, since her knife was still in the other Ghostface. She gripped his hand, hard and smacked it against the wall beside them.
You started moving to help, but then saw the raging fire that was burning inside Sam's eyes, and you froze. She wasn't the woman you knew. She was more like a version of her that reminded you of... Of Jill. The raw strength, the rage, the hatred. Every little detail reminded you of her, of the ruthless predator that sliced you up. The sister that showed no remorse in trying to eradicate her family.
So, you just watched, Tara in your arms, also frozen. Her sobs stopped and was now watching horrified of what her sister does.
A gunshot's sounded through the room, its discord slowly fading away. You snapped your head back, seeing Bailey edging towards you with Kirby held as a hostage wounds on her stomach and arms, blood dribbling out of them. You saw that he knew you were there too, but his eyes were fixated on what was happening on the other side of the room. You turned back, in time to see Sam pulling the knife through one of their throats and spinning quickly behind the other, placing the blade on their now exposed neck, drawing blood. The other stumbled to the floor like a ragdoll.
"Put. Her. Down." Bailey spitted out, voice full of loss and hatred.
Sam laughed before answering, a manic smile plastered on her face. Her eyes were filled with joy and fulfilment as she held back the other woman, who was struggling against her firm, unescapable grip. "How nice of you to join the party that you orchestrated. I've been waiting for you!"
"How did you know it was me?" He asked tearing up at the sight of one of the Ghostfaces dropping to the floor. This was the moment you realised how deeply you were betrayed. Not just by him, but by your best friend too. You looked at the Ghostface that was held captive by Sam, disgust written all over your face.
"Should you be really worried about that with a knife held to your bitch daughter's throat?" She asked back, her voice trembling from joy. "I would just need to press a little harder and your family would be o-ver" and she did, carving into the flesh to make her point. "Every one of you, killed by me. Ironic, isn't it? Since you were the ones that tried to fuck with mine" she growled the last sentence.
"What..." was the only thing that left Tara, her voice dying in her throat.
"Oh, don't you worry sweety. I figured it out. I figured out how to end this once and for all!" Her excitement was palpable.
"H- How will you do it?" You asked, fearing the answer.
"I will kill everyone who had anything to do with any of this. After that, no one will do it, ever again!"
A chill ran down your spine. Her smile was like a wretched and rotten corpse ready to be cremated. She was talking about everyone and both you and Tara knew it. You knew you were on the list that formed inside her head.
"We need to get out of here" you whispered to Tara, who nodded slightly.
“Let her go and I will let Kirby walk away” Bailey started. It was like he didn’t hear what Sam just spoke about. “This is between you and me!”
“I should have known it was you from the start!” Sam stated pointing at Bailey with her blade. “You know, you have the same nose as your son. The earlobes are similar as well. How was I this stupid?! I wonder if your screams and whimpers are the same as well.”
Bailey’s face darkened at that sentence. He went rigid, his muscles tensing, veins showing on his face.
“That’s it!” Sam called out, victorious grin on her face. “Show your daughter what a monster you really are!”
You leaned down to Tara, whispering in her ear. “When I push, you run behind the counter. Don’t look back. I will be right behind you…”
As the last word escaped your mouth, Bailey pushed Kirby away from himself and shot at Sam three times. Immediately you pushed Tara, who started ducking and running towards the location you told her. You saw Sam taking cover, using Quinn as a human shield. You rushed for Kirby, yanking her by her arm and dragging herself with you. Another shot was fired, and you felt immense pain in your left leg. With a final force you pushed Kirby forward and fell to the floor. She made it. She must have made it.
You looked back behind your shoulders to see Sam racing towards her enemy. Two additional shots were fired but neither one hit Sam, who was now on her opponent striking down with her blade. She stabbed him two times in the stomach, then pulled her blade high, and finally plunging it in Bailey’s face. His blood dribbled out, covering Sam. She tasted the blood and revelled in the feeling. You looked where she was originally positioned. Quinn had her mask taken of a huge opening in her throat, gasping for air that would never come. Not long after, her moans also faded away leaving silence in the room. You fearfully watched Sam whose eyes were wide as if she just had the most fulfilling euphoria in her life.
Sam sat over Bailey, still as a statue. You didn’t dare to move either. Whatever happened to her, you didn’t feel like she was safe. You were right.
As the blood from her blade dropped to the floor, her head snapped to where you were, her eyes wide. She slowly started moving towards you, while you desperately tried to push yourself further away from her. You could hear low whispers coming from the counter, so you made even more noise, trying to keep them hidden.
“Oh, Y/N” Sam started. “I’m sorry it had come to this. Truly…”
“Sam” you started shaking. “Sam stop! What are you doing?!”
“Tell me where my sister is and I swear I’ll make this quick for you” she said, then plunged the knife deep into your stomach. You didn’t need to try making sounds now to cover for your girlfriend. The scream that left you was louder than you imagined you could be.
“Where. Is. She?”
“Fuck you- Arghh!” you moaned out in pain as she twisted the knife in you.
“Sam stop!” Tara cried out, standing up from behind the counter. “Why…”
“To stop this from happening ever again. I thought I said this already.” she answered while standing up. From below, you could see the cuts and wounds that were left by the Ghostfaces. How is she still moving? “Now come here! I’ll promise it will be painless.”
“You’re crazy” you huffed out but got cut of with a kick from her into your open wound. You curled into a little ball, muffling your sounds whit a hand tucked inside your mouth.
“Tara, I won’t kill her until you left us, so you don’t have to see her die! Her pain is on you.”
Tara’s eyes widened even more and stumbled backwards, still not believing her eyes and ears. “Don’t say that.”
“Oh, but it is” she chuckled. “Don’t you see? This could have ended by now.”
You noticed something moving behind Sam, but your eyes were too blurry with tears to identify it. You could tell it was someone not something, but no more.
“Tara, sweety. Just come here. I’m not in the mood to play catch.”
“You won’t need to” said a voice behind Sam, making her spin around. You wasted no time, and jumped to tackle her by her feet, screaming in pain while doing it. You felt a sharp sensation in your shoulders, as she plunged it into you, but you managed to throw her of, grabbing her legs as hard as you could to make her unable to stand up.
This was something you and Kirby practised for months while living together. As soon as you heard her voice, you knew what you had to do. So, you did it. Holding onto her legs with slippery, bloody hands was way more challenging than you thought, but it did the trick. You could hear Kirby running closer, trying to hold Sam down as well. Even your best wasn’t enough for her. She managed to get one of her legs free, kicking you forcefully of and focusing then on the agent before her.
You could do nothing but to watch as they scrambled of the nearest weapon, fighting over who gets a hold of it quicker. You didn’t see clearly but you knew Sam was winning. Then you felt the sharp sensation in your shoulders again, as someone pulled the blade out of it. You bit your lips not to scream out and give away the third opponent Sam had.
You saw Tara rushing toward them and stabbing her sister in the back. As she screamed out in pain, Kirby ripped the gun out of her hands, quickly pointing at her and pulling the trigger. It didn’t go of. The blonde cursed and threw herself at Sam but got kicked away. You started crawling towards them.
You saw your brunette getting smacked against the wall and dropping to the ground. Sam stood up and looked at her, hesitating for a moment. That was all you needed to reach her, trying to rip her leg out from under her. She cursed, but left Tara alone and turned towards you kicking your arm. You screamed even louder as you could feel and hear the bone crack. She crouched down to lift your head looking in your eyes. Your sight was darkening, you could feel yourself passing out. Or away.
“Bye Y/N” she said as she raised her arm to strike down.
You hearing was muffled after that, but you heard someone screaming, and you didn’t feel the cold steel inside you. The last thing you saw was her body dropping to the floor before your sight darkened and all you could see was black.
---------------------------------------------------
When you woke up, you were in a hospital bed. Your throat felt soar, and everything hurt like hell. Your right hand was hanging from a suspension. As you tried to move your other hand to touch it, you felt warm fingers around your palm. You moved your eyes over and saw Tara, bloody face, and even bloodier clothes. Her eyes were shining with hope and happiness as she looked at you.
“Hey!” she said softly.
You tried to say something, but your throat was too sore. The only thing you managed to get out of you was a low growl. She chuckled at even that, smile wider than ever. A nurse handed you a glass of water, which you gladly accepted and drank from it slowly, your stomach hurting form every little movement. After that Tara asked for some privacy, which the nurse gave you.
“I thought I lost you Y/N. I did, for four minutes.”
“What happened?” you struggled to say every letter of these two words.
Tara’s face darkened, her face overcoming with sorrow. You wanted nothing else than to take back your words, but you couldn’t. A tear fell down her face as she took a deep breath, to explain.
“After you saved me, Sam was about to strike you down, when I got up and stabbed her twenty-eight times” her voice dropped, low and slow. She couldn’t look at you. “After that, I picked up Bailey’s handgun which was hidden in his boot and did the same thing as Sam did with Richie. Just with the whole barrel.”
You held her hand tightly, gripping it harder than ever. She finally looked at you, your eyes connecting. Her sorrow, hate and desperation could all be seen. Immediately she started tearing up and moments later she was crying herself out beside you, while you whispered soothing words to her.
You didn’t know how much you held her, and how much time did you two spending crying, but it didn’t matter. Her body pressed to your side, rising, and dropping with every in- and exhale. It was the only calming thing you had right now, so you gripped onto her as tight as you could.
“The others don’t know yet” she said, between two sobs.
“The others?” you managed to ask back.
“Mindy and Chad survived. So did Kirby, but she was there. Sam saved Chad by rushing towards Ethan. Gale wanted to visit you too, but they didn’t let her leave her room. I refused to leave your side. Wanted to be here when you wake up.”
“Thank you” you said, tearing up again. “Thank you so much Tara.”
She didn’t answer, just curled up even more beside you.
“I love you Y/N” she said finally, voice low and unsure. “Nothing else mattered to me, but you. Nothing else matters.”
“I love you too” you said inhaling her smell. “I would do anything for you.” Then you chuckled and pulled a little away, to be able to look her in the eyes. “Took us long enough don’t you think?”
She nodded, and went back to curl up beside you, her face in your neck. You placed your hand around her, inhaling her again. She filled your senses, pain dissipating, thoughts evening out. There was nothing you could think of but her as you drifted back to sleep.

Fantastic Four Vol. 1 #90
Fri March 16 2018 [23:41:36] <Wackd> Okay so remember how I said that I appreciated shorter story arcs? [23:41:47] <Wackd> I also appreciate when the Four have some downtime. [23:42:10] <Wackd> Setting this story immediately after the Mole Man encounter, such that everyone's still recuperating, is a real dick move. [23:43:13] <Wackd> Okay, it's not another supervillain attack. [23:43:26] <Wackd> It's booby traps going off in the house that they are INEXPLICABLY STILL IN [23:43:28] <Wackd> LEAVE, YOU IDIOTS [23:43:37] <Wackd> ...or start wrecking shit, that's good too I guess. [23:45:50] <Wackd> Ben Grimm: Proponent of Torture
[23:46:22] <Wackd> Man why haven't they turned him over to the police or something [23:46:35] <Wackd> Also hey hang on a sec. [23:46:43] <Wackd> So Mole Man can't see because it's too bright and he's not got his glasses. [23:46:52] <Wackd> Whyyyyy did he build his own base with lights that hurt his eyes? [23:47:05] <Wackd> Especially since again HE NEVER INTENDED FOR ANYONE TO MOVE IN HERE? [23:49:02] <Wackd> Anyway Mole Man takes advantage of Sue's kindness and bolts for an elevator back to Subterrania. [23:49:50] <Duraz> huh, I feel like that echoes the more recent thing with him in Squirrel Girl [23:49:58] <Duraz> or rather, "is echoed by" [23:50:13] <Wackd> HEY SORRY *WHAT*
[23:50:40] <Wackd> HIS PLAN WAS TO BLIND EVERYONE ON THE PLANET. I'M PRETTY SURE BLINDING PEOPLE IS AGAINST SEVERAL LAWS????? [23:51:27] <Duraz> would they be able to prove that that was his plan, if he just said, "Oh, help, these costumed ruffians just attacked me out of the blue!" [23:51:40] <Wackd> i will grant that they did kinda break into his house [23:52:11] <Wackd> but reed should be able to prove that the house was putting out blinding rays? many of the folks who were already blinded could corroborate? [23:52:24] <Wackd> like even if that's unintentional it's clearly criminal negligence [23:52:36] <Bocaj> They were sold the house. Its clearly the realtor's fault [23:52:41] <Wackd> YES [23:52:45] <Wackd> SUE THE REALTOR [23:52:52] <Duraz> ha [23:53:07] <Wackd> SERIOUSLY IT WASN'T HIS HOUSE TO SELL, THIS IS GOING TO KEEP BUGGING ME [23:53:17] <Bocaj> And okay maybe there's no law against trying to take over the world (DUBIOUS) but in his first appearance he destroyed several power plants. That has to be illegal [23:53:22] <Wackd> WHAT SORT OF NUTCASE FINDS A MYSTERIOUS SCIFI HOUSE IN THE WOODS AND TRIES TO HAWK IT TO FOLKS [23:53:28] <Bocaj> Freeza? [23:53:44] <maxwellelvis> Someone who is in need of filling a quota [23:54:52] <Wackd> I am not digging this read on Ben's character.
[23:55:18] <Wackd> You would think a guy who's constantly angsting over being regarded as a freak would value sympathy a bit more highly. [23:56:04] <Wackd> But I guess it's the logical end result of his general development into "guy who loves punching things, complains about science talk, and is occasionally sad." [23:57:06] <Duraz> I could see an interesting take where it starts as resentment and sort of reflexive anger when he sees circumstances that mirror his own, but then he could learn to grow out of it. [23:57:30] <Wackd> That could be interesting, yeah. [23:58:11] <Duraz> been too long since I've done the fanfiction thing [23:58:14] <Wackd> ...i have so many questions
[23:58:49] <maxwellelvis> Skrulls have to learn faces before copying them, sure. [23:58:53] <Duraz> guess not all skrulls are that skilled [23:58:57] <Duraz> skrilled? [23:59:18] <maxwellelvis> That's supposed to be a limitation on Mystique's shape shifting. [23:59:32] <Wackd> I mean I'd have fewer questions if our introduction to this character for this issue wasn't him tossing away a life-sized sculpt of Reed Richard's head, which he was carrying through the forest. [23:59:34] <maxwellelvis> That she has to know what a person looks and sounds like to properly imitate them. [23:59:51] <Duraz> where did he get it, I wonder [00:02:25] <Wackd> SAM ELLIOTT, NOOOOOOOO
[00:02:41] <Bocaj> He was my second favorite Ghost Rider [00:02:59] <maxwellelvis> He was my second favorite narrator! [00:03:06] <maxwellelvis> (It was either that or Road House) [00:04:57] <Wackd> "what harm could it do to pick up a hitchhiker who says things like 'hunting him down' like he's being clever?"
[00:05:53] <maxwellelvis> I need that Gary Larson cartoon with the hitchhiker [00:07:25] <Wackd> STAN: "okay so in this scene they're cooing over their adorable baby" [00:07:25] <Wackd> JACK: "they've all been possessed by evil spirits, got it" [00:07:25] <Wackd> STAN: "that's not what i--" [00:07:25] <Wackd> JACK: "they've all been replaced by body snatchers who can only put on a grim parody of human happiness, don't worry about it, i got this"
[00:07:57] <maxwellelvis> Stop drawning happy people, Jack Kirby. [00:08:17] <maxwellelvis> Also blame the coloring people who forgot that irises have color. [00:08:48] <Wackd> They've been forgetting that every issue for a long-ass time now. I think the irises might just be too small for whatever technique they're using? [00:09:01] <maxwellelvis> Oh right. [00:09:04] <maxwellelvis> It is still the 60s [00:09:39] <maxwellelvis> If it's not one weirdness with the color, it's another. [00:09:46] <Wackd> So anyway, uh, unrelated to the plot at hand, Mole Man's house collapses and is destroyed. [00:09:59] <maxwellelvis> I mean, for the last few issues they've been blinded, right? [00:10:07] <Wackd> They're okay now. [00:10:14] <Wackd> Reed blew up his blindness ray or something. [00:10:27] <maxwellelvis> Maybe that wasn't properly communicated to the color group. [00:10:31] <Bocaj> i'm sure thats how it works [00:10:49] <Wackd> The colorless irises have been a thing at LEAST since I started doing these again. [00:11:05] <maxwellelvis> oh [00:11:15] <Wackd> the sam elliot skrull begins his slow metamorphosis into peter falk
[00:11:36] <maxwellelvis> "Oh, ehhhh... just one more question." [00:13:26] <maxwellelvis> Oh wait, that's Princess Bride Peter Falk. In Columbo he was stubbly with no mustache [00:14:08] <Wackd> Falk spots Ben giving autographs and turns into Reed, and then claims Ben's needed as they've just gotten wind of an alien invasion. [00:14:23] <Wackd> Then lures him into the forest, where he...turns into a Skrull. [00:14:44] <Wackd> The play I woulda gone for is to bring him back to your ship, have him bust into it, then trap him. [00:14:58] <Wackd> But then I also wouldn't have hitchhiked away from my ship into Manhattan, so. [00:15:47] <Wackd> Wow! Before Ben gets the chance to make a move, the Skrull manages to blast him with a nerve gun and immediately conk him out. [00:16:24] <maxwellelvis> (Seriously, it's amazing what difference a mustache, glasses, and clothes that actually fit make. Falk's almost unrecognizable between Columbo and The Princess Bride) [00:16:25] <Wackd> And then, uh...drags him back to the suburbs, into his ship, and takes off? [00:16:40] <Wackd> Time has warped and space is bendable. [00:18:52] <Wackd> Actually, wait--this guy had a fleet when we first met him. [00:19:01] <Wackd> I guess he coulda sent one ship ahead to Manhattan. [00:19:38] <Wackd> Anyway.

Fanfic Preview: “Screaming Until Dawn”
This is for a spinoff to one of my current stories, Unlife is Strange. I've been cooking this one for a while, and should post the first chapter in the summer. Fall at the latest.
— — — —
Summary: In October of 2011, Kirby Reed was stabbed by Charlie Walker. While she ultimately pulled through, there was a point in her near death experience that she experienced what she thinks is a dream, but isn't sure; the life of a girl named “Sam” — not to be mistaken for that quiet Carpenter girl that Kirby sees around school — having a slumber party with her friends Jess, Emily and the Washington Twins. After she awoke, Kirby decided this was just a dream that felt so real, so she tried to put it behind her.
In February of 2015, Sam Giddings and her friends survived Mount Washington, but left with scars, as well as a target on their backs. As Sam tries to numb things and is caught up with the Federal Bureau of Control, she has recurring dreams that she’s not sure are dreams. In these dreams, Sam is a college student named “Kirby”, the only survivor of her friend group in what is called the second Woodsboro massacre. Sam thinks that she should know Woodsboro, but when she looks into it, she finds only dead ends. And so, she brushes these dreams off as just that.
In October of 2016, Kirby Reed started her last year at Bayfield University. With an aim to join the FBI, Kirby has been following True Crimes stories; before soon receiving a call to Maryland. There, she is attacked by other figures in black robes and white masks; and yet, they were not Ghostfaces. As Kirby looks into who or what called her here — often seeing the name “Ithaqua” — she finds herself more and more looking through the eyes, and walking in the shoes of “Samantha Giddings”.
In October of 2016, a year after she and her friends survived Mount Washington and signed up with the FBC, Sam Giddings has been taking a sabbatical, focusing on her college career. Sam attends Bayfield University, preparing to enjoy a much needed break with Emily and Jessica, while the rest of their circle are working on a case overseas. It isn’t long when Sam receives a call from “work”. Investigating paranormal activity in Maryland, Sam is attacked by a distressed girl, who mistakes her for someone named “Kirby”. As Sam looks into who or what called her here, she finds herself more and more looking through the eyes, and walking in the shoes of “Kirby Reed”.
— — — —
So let's break a few things down.
1. Set between Scream 4 and 2022, originally this story was going to be about Kirby's first case as an FBI agent.
But then I did the math on Kirby’s age — she would be 22 at the time of the story; to join the FBI, you have to be 23 at the time of appointment. So instead, this occurs in her last year at University. Where we see Kirby is somewhere between where Sidney was in the second and third Scream.
Being the sole survivor of her friend group, Kirby is nearly propped as a heroic survivor up the same way Sidney was, but ultimately shied away from the spotlight.
Unlike the more outgoing Sam Giddings, Kirby becomes more introverted as a coping mechanism; she's barely friends with her dorm mates; a lot of the people who try to befriend her do so for attention; and she developed insomnia from her near death experience, and has to medicate to sleep.
Her romantic life is almost non-existent; most dates she goes on fizzle out or just end up being one night stands. Which takes even more of a downturn when her medical professor made some “advances” towards her.
In her down time, Kirby has taken an interest in true crimes, cold cases and unsolved mysteries, and studies up on them while planning to join the FBI; especially for “Ghostface-like” murders. At the time of this story, she has a special interest in the Lakewood killing sprees; the case of Brandon James; and the arrest and trial of Kieran Wilcox.
However, when she gets a call to Maryland, Kirby quickly realizes that she has a stalker — or stalkers(s) — who have a special interest in her. But what has her curious is why they are calling her “Sam Giddings” and who this woman is. And with a growing supernatural presence surrounding her, Kirby finds herself a little out of her league.
Now would the supernatural be out of place for Scream ? Sure, but besides this whole “alternate universe/timeline” deal, I try to keep it mostly in the background or backstory. While this may be a Scream/Until Dawn crossover...It may feel more like “The Mothman Prophecies meets Borrasca”.
I also lean to the idea we can't assume a Ghostface is dead unless they're shot in the head.
2. So as I said above, this fic is also a spin-off to Unlife is Strange, and picks up after the “Flashback Arc” set in 2015. In that story, the Until Dawn cast are recurring/supporting characters who made a witness protection deal with the Federal Bureau of Control; which roped some into doing “scout work” for the FBC.
Sam and Emily both got involved in the Arcadia Bay case, soon investigating Rachel Amber’s presence in LA; and later uncovered vampire cult activity in Seattle. You can read their investigation here, here, and here.
Despite Sam and Emily being promoted to field agents after this case, Sam opted to take a sabbatical for college. At the time of the story, Sam hasn’t seen her friends in months. Mike, Matt, Chris and Ashley are overseas, looking into a cold case; something involving a different breed of vampires in Iraq.
Emily spent the summer in Japan for her own sabbatical; in truth, she got involved in investigating sightings of the “sea dragon” of Odo Island. Jessica doesn't officially join in with the FBC until 2019, and instead, attended Windsor College, before also taking a break.
Sam initially intends to take a “girls trip” with Emily and Jess, before all three are pulled into Maryland by this “call”. There, they find a girl in the woods, who mistakes Sam for someone named “Kirby”.
3. Like I said, I don’t plan to go overboard with the supernatural stuff.
While the wendigo may have some presence, I don’t see them being the threat. Rather they’d lurk in the background, being more of a spiritual influence than a direct menace. And it’s here where I do some education from growing up with these stories.
There are variations of the wendigo, with specific beliefs often differ by region or tradition. Some traditions say not to speak of them in general; some say only not to do so in Winter months; I've also been told it's directly addressing them that draws their attention.
Some portray them as pure evil, representing greed or selfishness, and even colonialism (which I lean too); or as tragic victims (like Hannah and Josh), with some writers using them as metaphors of addiction.
Some say that there is no cure; another says they can be cured by being force fed hot soup or grease from animal fat. Some say they can only be killed by fire, cutting out their hearts, or getting a living colonoscopy from a least weasel.
What I’m getting at is, there’s a version that might not be widespread, but still something I was taught growing up. If you kill a wendigo without the right precautions, its spirit will awaken, fixate on you, and make its mission in life to punish you.
To avoid this, you must dismember its body, burning the pieces, and scattering the ashes about. And even then, there's a story about one creating the world's first mosquitos from its ashes. So yeah, “killing” a wendigo does is make things personal.
Here, this occurred after the “They All Live” ending.
When the survivors escaped Mount Washington, the spirit of the Makkapitew followed after. Being an already powerful and vicious spirit — which possessed not one, but two victims who’d resent them — the Makkapitew wasn't content with just killing them. Instead it torments them with what I call “Eobard Thawne Buffoonery”.
So even if it's not the threat in this story, I can see its spirit having some presence in Sam's life, and that of her friends.
As with the mentions of Ithaqua, let's talk a little more about this verses’ lore.
4. Ithaqua is an entity originating from the Cthulhu Mythos, being the son of Hastur, and based on the wendigo and the yeti. Later writers depict Ithaqua as being obsessed with spawning a child that would help awaken the Great Old Ones.
I previously included Ithaqua as a Greater Scope Villain in Love’s Sacrifices (alongside daddy Hastur) and passing mentions in Unlife is Strange.
In Love's Sacrifices, Ithaqua was the “human” son of Hastur born to the Paleo Siberian people and was a mediator between his father and mankind. 10,000 years ago, his following spread across what would become Eastern Europe, Eastern Asia, and North America. His reign ended when Hastur was slain by an “Earthly Hero” and Ithaqua himself was bound to another world, unable to directly interact with this one.
In Unlife is Strange, Ithaqua is mentioned as having some ties to Mount Washington. While I don’t see Ithaqua being a direct threat, his followers are around in the present day. Albeit not as an apocalyptic threat and nowhere near as powerful as they were 10,000 years ago.
They exist with the guise of Christian based institutions, akin to prosperity gospel preachers and televangelists, obsessed with making money, and breeding prosperity. Modern followers don’t even believe in Ithaqua as an entity, but a concept/symbol to live under — ironically akin to how actual Satanists view the devil.
5. As for pairings and ships...I don't see this story being too heavy in the romance department.
However, write Kirby as bi, if only because she seemed somewhat actually interested in Charlie in Scream 4. Though bout the only character I actually ship Kirby with is Sam (Carpenter), but she ain't likely to be in this story.
But the way I see it, Kirby isn't looking for a relationship at this point in the story. A fling or two maybe, but nothing serious.
As for Sam (Giddings); I write her as being a lesbian and having a “friends with benefits” relationship with Jessica and Emily, both of whom I write as Bi. Sam may actually have romantic feelings for them, but in her mind they aren't dating dating.
In Unlife is Strange, it's mentioned that Sam took up a mild promiscuity to cope with her trauma. Besides Jessica and Emily, Sam also had a near fling with Rachel Amber. It’s also mentioned that during the Arcadia Bay investigation, Sam couldn't “keep it professional” with some of the witnesses/survivors, becoming very friendly with Max, Kate, Victoria and Chloe.
During her time at Bayfield, Sam had a few casual hookups with a couple of girls from her dorm. All this to say, this story probably isn't going to be too big on shipping, other than Sam, Jess and Emily's “girls trip”.
But even that may take a back seat to the actual drama in this story. Though if Kirby looks through Sam's eyes and experiences her life, I can see her experiencing Sam's relationship with Jessica and Emily. I can also see them catching on to Kirby if/when they see something off with Sam.
But who knows ? It'll be a while before it's up.
