And as they end this episode with Clay crying, I’d just like to take a moment and tell you guys a quick story…. so in the book when Clay finally breaks down for the first time in Tony’s car and just like loses his shit, I sobbed. I was so emotional. And I don’t know if that scene will still exist in this series adaptation, but I’m both looking forward to it and dreading it if it is a thing.

God the scene where they read out the anonymous note from Hannah was such a fucked up thing to read in the book how no one took it seriously, and seeing it was just as bad. There were so many different people and situations that could have helped Hannah, but nobody did.

I’m loving all this added dialogue between characters on the tapes that weren’t in the book. Like Alex and Clays talk at Monet’s. Quality addition to the story.

Clay you just downed and entire 40 in like 30 seconds or less, I don’t think you should engage in a bicycle chase on a fucking car… you’re not gonna win here.

“Are you drunk?” “I think so.” “Wow, this is escalating fast. … How much did you drink, son?” “Just one beer. It was a big beer, though, and it was disgusting.” *pukes all over the table* I didn’t think I would laugh at this show as much as I have, props to the writers and actors for being able to have that in such a heavy story and have it WORK without taking away the seriousness of the material they’re portraying.

So I’m doing something I haven’t done for a long time, not since I was watching Supernatural for the first time… “Live blogging” episode by episode of 13 Reasons Why!! I’ve been waiting literal YEARS for this. Back in the time when Selena Gomez was set to star as Hannah in the movie adaptation.

But the time has finally come and it has been released on Netflix. So I’m ready to binge it and cry for hours because hot damn is it emotional.

TAPE 1 - SIDE A

She’s perfect for Hannah’s mom Also the intro to all the characters on the tapes talking to Clay and he hasn’t listened to them yet and just asjdldbahf Courtney we all know why you’re talking to Clay right now… go away lol THE RED CAR IS HERE YAAAS TONY!!! Cassette tapes aghhhh It’s the fucking movie theater!!! - the flashbacks at the theater are gonna kill me the most I s2g OMG ITS THE PACKAGE. OMG it’s happening.
