If Jim Carry returned for the next movie, what role do you think Robotnik would play? He’s definitely not a good guy, but making him the villain kind of goes against his entire character arc. As much as I enjoy him in these movies, maybe it’s best for the character to not come back?

I definitely feel like Dr. Robotnik isn’t coming back. It was a nice farewell to the character. This would allow a new villain to come, in, such as Stone. And this wouldn’t be a foreign concept to the Sonic universe either. We’ve had villains in the past step in and take over for Robotnik. However, if Jim did decide to come back, I think that he would come back to play an A.I. version of Robotnik. Stone needs to have a semi-conscious version of his precious doctor to talk to in some way or form.

After Robotnik’s death on the Ark Agent Stone does a hard rebound with recently-graduated polisci major Colin who codes and builds computers in his spare time. and it isnt until after they’ve been dating for a few months that Colin drops that he’s cut his family out of his life (it was obvious but Stone didn’t pry) but he dug into his family history and found out that his dad had a long lost brother that was abandoned after some huge government coverup in the 70s and he wanted to see if it was possible to find him. And of course Agent Stone offers to help bc he has experience with fucking with the government. And anyway thats how they find out Stone is dating Dr. Robotnik’s nephew Colin “Snively” Kintobor

Kintobor you never last long, do you?

Man literally only lasted Two issues since he got back and to make matters worse The Kintobor computer IS Also gone

It’s a Stringer story and it looks like it’s set a bit after where I’m currently at in the main series, if Sonic can just take a trip up to the Floating Island. Also, I wasn’t wrong about the StC team diving into Sonic 3 locations as soon as they were available - I knew that I could count on them for that

I’m not sure if the harshness of those pinks is the scans I’m using or if the actual comic is like that, but Kintobor is definitely looking like the most sunburned computer program on this side of Mobius

No bi-plane? No problem! Sonic opts to use a giant spring that’s never been tested and to no one’s surprise, he’d much rather do this than go on a date with Amy

Equally to no one’s surprise, Amy isn’t letting him get away that easily, so we’ve got a Sonic & Amy story today

It looks like Amy is still on the list of characters who Sonic isn’t sure about having around (at least for this story she is, anyway), but she brings her crossbow to the discussion for consideration and makes a valid point

Okay, so it looks like this story might be set before Robotnik’s prison break after all, since Knuckles is still somewhat hostile towards Sonic and I think that after the next main issue we’re due to read, they clear up that misunderstanding. It does amuse me how from the start Sonic is convinced that Knuckles is a good dude just led wrong

This is a short comic, however, so it doesn’t take them long to find that combinik that the rescued Mobian was talking about. Actually, now that I think about it, how is that bear guy going to get home? Does he just live on the Floating Island now? Will he only be reunited with his family later on in the series when everyone from Emerald Hill goes up there?

The two fight the combinik without much luck, until Amy gives Sonic a bit of inspiration

And the day is saved! Though Sonic is still reluctant to admit that him and Amy make a great team. Instead he’s relieved for Tails to get them both outta here

We even get a Knuckles cameo to see us out! Look, he has a flower on his head! Silly guy! This was a cute little story, filling the “Sonic fights a robot” quota while showing off a location from the newest game of the time. It’s a bit of a shame that the colouring lets it down, but otherwise I liked it. Always happy to have more Amy

one thing i like about exit sonic :) one thing i like is that the epilogue sets up kintobor to be living up on the floating island. the "kintobor" computer is up there now in what very much looks like a modern lab. i just that knuckles isnt alone anymore, he's got his nerds living with him. and maybe they eventually found the other echidnas, maybe some of them live there. maybe he's reached some kind of peace with that. either way hes not alone anymore and thats nice :)

Part 4 and somehow i got even lower effort! I have been sitting at my computer everyday since september making Sonic Fanart; i have finally reached my breaking point.

As you people can clearly see i couldnt be bothered to pose the Kinto Mech''s hands, Nine's Tails and the entiretys of Terios, Anti-Sonic and Anti-Tails, the latter two who are barely visable on top of that. Even more so the ground is just one big blob of 1 color and the Elevator for Kintobor's ship is just copy pasted from the miniature i used in Part 1 but scaled up, it has very little detail and im not happy with the colors.

BUT as to what be hip happening here! As we saw previosly after Kintobor convinced Nine to come with him on the run back to Kintobor's ship they caught up with Terios and continuing onwards they got to the elevator where they met with Anti-Metal Sonic and quickly ascended upwards. In the nick of time aswell since shortly after getting up Anti-Sonic and Anti-Tails Caught up! and thats where im leaving it for now.

As said previosly; i am exhausted, i need a break before working on Part 5 where i will do my best to put in the extra effort that has been severely lacking in part 1-4. It will almost certianly be a month or 2 (maybe more) until Part 5 is ready but it should be out before the year.

But for now lets talk abit more abou thtis AU yea? I like talking

Here we gots my take on a Bad Guy Sonic!

As i said before for this AU the main Bad guy is King Acorn, Sally Acorn's father. Why? one may be asking, well is real simple; Despite the premise of Morality and Backstory's being Flipped and/or jumbled around resulting in Eggman being the good guy here and Sonic the bad guy i dont think Sonic works as the main big bad.

Sonic is a guy who loves adventure, an enjoyer of exitement; someone who likes it when stuff is happening, we can all agree on atleast that right? If we were to go with the idea of a bad guy Sonic wanting to rule the world (Mainline Eggy's Whole Deal) would his motivation not be to just bog himself down with work? Cuz ruling the world is alot of work and whilst that would certianly be quite different from mainline Sonic i personally think its too different. He is a guy who loves adventure, why should his motivation be no more adventures?

So instead i decided to keep him quite close to normal Sonic but instead elevate some of his imperfections even further. This Sonk is a right and proper Daredevil, a true adrenaline Junkie. He wants fun and exitement above all. He is all for throwing himself into danger just for the thrill of it all.

He doesnt really care for how his actions affect others, he is here to have fun above all. He thinks messing with Kintobor & crew is some of the most fun there is.

But the story still needs a bad guy, Kintobor and crew still needs someone to fight, someone to save the world from, Just like how in mainline Sonic Saves the world from Eggman, but who? Well with Sonic not being a good fit in my opinion after lots of thinking and pondering i settled on King Acorn and for Sonic and friends to be his lackeys.

But what is Anti-Sonic's reason for Joining King Acorn's conquest of the world? well he thinks the tasks the King has him do and the missions he sends him on are a ton of fun. This is a Sonic whose love of adventure and exitement have been elevated to even further levels, a right and proper adrenaline junkie as said.

But its not a perfect dynamic between Sonk and the King. Sonk does not much care for Maximillian Acorn's cause, he does not care for the end he is there for the journey. This naturally makes him a loose cannon But a cannon nonetheless which is why the King tolerates his antics. He has the fastest thing alive on his side, why squander that oppertunity?

But then there is the question of Anti-Tails.

First thing i want to make clear; whilst worsening these two's relationship would certianly be the antithesis of their usual dynamic fact of the matter is i have no intentions of ever seperating these 2.

I am not super satisfied with the design i put toghether here, it is subject to change. Without the Jacket he looks like a coal miner.

Back when me and my close confidant/2nd opinon discussed what a bad guy Tails would be like we came up with something that only after our talk did i realize was incredibly Close to Kitsunami.

I am abit split on this, the idea we came up with was neat; that he would be very cold and rude to everyone exept Sonic BUT with it being so close to another character i am unsure wether or not to stick with it. A sort of "them against the world" mentality could be neat, like the only reason he is helping the King is cuz Sonic is. But then again this makes him highly based around Sonic, not as mcuh of his own character y'know? But then again for the Bad guy versions of these characters i want to take some of their imperfections and ampilfy them even further and for Tails one of those could be making him more depandant on Sonic than ever before.

And there is the similarity to Kitsunami to take into account. Truth is whilst Dr Starline is certianly around in this AU i cant say the same for Surge and Kitsunami as quite frankly i do not know what to do with them. And if i were to do something with them in this AU how would that relate to Anti-Tails and Anti-Sonic?

I have not been able to find the time to discuss this predicament with my 2nd opinion/Close Confidant as she has been quite unavailable all Summer so Anti-Tails is in a sort of Limbo state right now; im not sure where i want to take his character.

So lets move onto Anti-Metal Sonic!

Like with Terios Anti-Metal's design is very unfinnished and like with Terios i Plan to address this in Part 5. I plan to get them proper designs in Part 5 and if i have worked out Anti-Tails by then then he too shall more than likely recieve a makeover.

The basic idea i got for Anti-Metal is to make him more of a nature lover in contrast to Mainline Metal Sonic who does not much care for it. Thus when i eventually get around to it i want to try and make him kinda dirty, not from misuse or lack of repairs but instead from spending so much time outside.

For physical changes the direction i want to take is something abit more combat focused and the basic concept of "Werehog on rollerskates".

As you can see i solved the extendo arm problem but as you can also see he clearly lacks the rollerskates. This is becouse a decent way thru i realized that funnily enough Mainline Metal Sonic was not a good base to use when making a good guy version of him. instead i think for the redesign i want to use Mecha Sonic Mk2 as a base to turn into my dream of "werehog on rollerskates"

Like this guy is a much better starting of point for what i want. Just gotta change the head to something friendlier looking, get him extendo arms, elaborate on his tires for the rollerskates and get him a green bowtie. Only problem is i dont actually have a Mecha Sonic Mk2 Design.

BUT atleast i know what direction i want to take him in which is certianly more than i can say for Anti-Tails.

But with that i think its finally time for my break and i will get back to you people in a few months or so with Part 5 where i will talk ALOT about ALOT of things and hopefully make up for the lack of quality so far, hope to see you then!

{➹} – HIS EARS WERE RINGING, his head was pounding and he felt a weight on him that was threatening to crush him under it before too long. And it was dark, far darker than it should have been. Had he been out for long...?

Sonic didn't know, but his next course of action was to get back to his feet to survey the damage around him. He could faintly hear the snap of ruptured wires, smell them in the air over the dust and faint smell of spilt chemicals. The explosion had done more than he thought, the fact part of the ceiling seemed to be what was pinning him to the floor was a good enough sign of that.

It was with a monumental effort that he pushed himself to his hands and knees, only just rolling from under the concrete slab before it crashed down again. The new wave of dust made him cough, eyes streaming as he stumbled through the debris littering the floor. There was so much of it...

"Kintobor...?" The ten year old hedgehog called out into the dark after steadying himself on one of the crushed computer consoles. One that should have held seven individual gems that he vaguely noted were nowhere to be seen. But they were the last of his worries.

There was no answer, and he felt his heart drop. The base was a mess, destroyed almost beyond recognition. Nothing was intact, even the walls and ceiling were splintered and falling apart. Apart from live coils and a few struggling lights, it was nearly pitch black around him. It didn't stop him from looking around desperately for the human. They couldn't be...Kintobor had been right next to him when...

When Sonic had ruined everything.

The preteen's mouth suddenly felt dry, a panic rising in him unlike anything he had felt before. No, no, no...! He called out again to the same results and the hedgehog cursed, the sound harsh in the odd silence around him. He did the only thing he could think of and started turning over all he could for some sign of the human. He may have been at it for minutes, maybe hours, but each ticking second with no results had despair sinking into every fiber of his being.

He could feel tears welling in his eyes, that signature burn as he slumped against a collapsed sheet of metal. You messed up big time, the voice in the back of his head was relentless and it was taking all Sonic had left not to curl in on himself and shatter right there. It meant that he didn't see the figure shifting just few feet from him, not until it let out a profound groan and caught his attention. For a split moment, hope flared up in the young hedgehog, until whatever it was, a round and robust figure, turned to look at him. Not with kindness, not with worry...

Just glowing red eyes.

And he ran.

{➹} – IT WAS SOMETHING THE hedgehog could relate to. He was never afraid to admit that his mother was very much his rock, that she had saved him from himself when he had been at an absolute low point. There was nothing that could or would separate the two of them, and that fact had been proven over the last decade and few years. It was just one reason the hero knew that what he and Kounosuke had was special. If Rosie approved, with how protective she was, then it was meant to be.

And the same went with Kintobor, of course. Despite everything the two of them had been through the human was still the hedgehog's father, and he wouldn't hear anything different. It had taken a while for the scientist to accept that fact but, once they had, they had proven that by being just as involved as Rosie. There were things only the two of them could talk about, and Sonic cherished that fact.

Yes, he had some pretty unconventional parents, a woodchuck who adopted him and a human turned computer program, but he loved them regardless. And he knew it went both ways.

"'S just never made sense t' me t' judge a person based on all that. And the ones who have clearly didn't take the time t' get t' know you. Looks aren't everything, in fact they're hardly anything in the grand scheme of things. I fell in love with you for you. What you are, not what others think you should be."

One more thing the hedgehog was never afraid to admit. True he was a little more cautious about it now after their first, and so far only, disagreement but nothing about his thoughts on the matter had changed. He just knew to be more conscious of how he put things., for Kounosuke's sake.

But, Chaos, there was no denying the way the hero melted when their lips met. His eyes slipped closed and there was the faintest purr heard in his throat as their bodies were brought together. His slender tail had given a few quick wags before the tanuki spoke again, bringing a smile to the hero's muzzle.

"The fact we're here kinda proved that already, hasn't it? Despite everything, we somehow found each other. One person in the entire universe. Our person. If space and Chaos-knows what else couldn't stop us from finding each other, I don't anything could. 'S why I don't want you t' be afraid t' ask me anything you might want t' know. I don't want there t' be anything between us that's obstructive."

It was kind of like being a kid.

Well, when you had loving parents. The thought of living far away from them, it was a little scary, even at his age. His parents had been his biggest supporters his entire life. He'd do anything for them. Visited them every weekend. Then a little laugh came out, as he thought to himself. How his mother had doted on Sonic, how she thought he was such a kindhearted man for her 'Little Kou'.

Even before it was more acceptable for a man to be into other men, his parents had accepted that part of him immediately. Harue, his mother, was the first to give him a big hug when he came out to her. To say, 'I know you'll find the man of your dreams someday'. That was over a decade ago now, but the acceptance and love his family made him feel.

Sonic had just made those memories burn even stronger.

"I've looked around over the years. But not a lot of people are interested in the way I look. I used to be so self conscious about it, because that's what they would tell me. I can't tell you the amount of times i heard someone say they'd go out with me if I lost fifty pounds. But then you came along, and you didn't care. And I think that's what matters. That's why I don't feel self conscious anymore, even when you're not around."

A snicker.

"Though I can't guarantee I won't have to sew my clothes again on occasion."

Purely lighthearted.

"Love is the most powerful force in the universe."

And then he leaned in, for the softest, most gentle of kisses on Sonic's lips, arms moving to hold him a little closer to that soft, round body. Though Sonic did help a lot, Kounosuke had figured it out on his own that he didn't have to care about being skinny. That he could live for himself, rather than other peoples' opinions.

"And,"

The tanuki continued, as their lips parted.

"I feel a lot of love with the two of us combined. I don't think anything in the universe could stop us as long as we're together."

Now, as was sadly also the case with the last specials we covered, the creators of this special are uncredited. But an old (defunct?) Yahoo Group tells us that Kitching was the writer for each of the stories in this issue, with various artists working with him. For Sun Doctor, Ferran Rodriguez is back on art duties. This story is split into two parts, being the first and last comics to appear in the special. I’ve decided to post them as two separate parts for my read-through, so part two will be shared last Also, while the canon of the two yearbooks I covered earlier were only loosely connected to StC, there’s no denying that this special is set firmly in the StC world, with our opening showing a civilian being blindfolded and led into Sonic’s base, where the usual team of Sonic, Tails, Amy, Porker and the Kintobor computer are waiting

Some of you might remember Stripes, a young badger who appeared way back in issue 4. Well, today he’s joined a cult and his dad is seeking out help. Also, heads up for cult mentions in this story if that’s a matter you’re not comfortable with reading about. They refer to it directly as being a cult in the comic, but I'll try to avoid doing so in my write-ups here Anyway, this story will be Stripe’s last appearance. I didn’t even know he came back after the first issue he was in, to be honest. The blindfold thing here also really solidifies that there’s a select group who are working as the Freedom Fighters now, whereas in those early issues it seemed to be anyone who lived in the Hill Zones was fighting Robotnik

Tails can’t believe his luck that Sonic deems this mission okay to take him along on. He mustn’t think this Doctor Sun character is too dangerous

Anyway, we get a long sequence of Sonic & Tails travelling through the Mystic Cave Zone, fighting badniks and disarming traps. It’s another case of the story being less effective because the location they’re in just doesn’t look like the Mystic Cave Zone, which is a shame, because that place has some cool visuals they could’ve worked with

Part One ends with our duo finding the titular Doctor Sun and hey look, it’s Sally Acorn! Looks like she and a bunch of others have made some bad life choices, but we’ll find out how bad later in the special
