I'm not really sure how to do this as I'm new to basically everything, including Tumbler. But I want I had a few questions. So I was recently introduced into this community and I'm sure where I fit. I have always been super independent even at a young age and took care of others I'm 20 almost 21. Im still a college student and working full time as a nurse so life is stressful. My friend just recently interduced me to this community so forgive me if I'm doing this completely wrong. She told me that I seem to have little tendencies and I'm not sure where she is getting this or how to know what she means I've tried looking this up but I never feel I drop to another headspace or age. I'm not even sure I would consider myself a submissive. I've always cared for others and told others what to do as I was the oldest and it was my responsibility to care for my younger siblings at that time then I became a nurse so I'm still doing the same really. I am extremely independent I have high boundaries and people can lose my respect easily I don't trust easy I don't like being spoiled cause that takes time from others. I know once I'm close to people I act differently I prefer them make small decisions as I make them everyday sme life changing ones for other people it gets tiring but I still make my own decisions also. I know I can seem childish but thats always brought me comfort small things like blankets and stuffed animals watching cartoons I did as a little kid but I always thought that was normal comfort items to want when stressed. So I'm not sure what really im asking or if you really can help me or even if you talk about littles or little tendencies also sorry for the long post. Bye-bye

I'm gonna be honest and say that I don't like how your friend went about this. It feels more like someone leading a horse to a trough to drink because they have a rider that needs a horse. Just because there is a hole doesn't mean everything should go in it, nor does everything fit.

The fact that you don't know the basics or basic safety is concerning. And for all I know, this is exactly how your friend was introduced and maybe doesn't know any better either. So let me give some perspective and then answer your questions to the best of my ability.

Why am I bothered by how you were introduced to the community? You don't know what a submissive is. A submissive is not a doormat and should absolutely have boundaries that will be respected. A Dom that doesn't respect boundaries is a shitty Dom. Being submissive doesn't mean that a Dom shouldn't earn your respect or that you should just trust any Dom. That's a good way to ending up face down in a ditch somewhere. I would never disregard my sub's boundaries. Boundaries and guidelines are there for a reason. If they clash with my needs, then I simply look for a different submissive who I better fit with.

I don't know how familiar you are with me, but I'm 100% Dom and my husband is only submissive within our relationship. Outside of our relationship, he's a Dom. Think Porsche from Kinnporsche. Do you know how many stuffed animals I got on my bed because of that man!?!? Which I thought was ridiculous until he pointed out my blanket that I will fight the kids over. I've also caught him on more than one occasion watching his nostalgic childhood cartoons. And that man is so far from a little it's not even funny. I don't want to decide what to eat on any given day, but I'm still Dom. So our status within the community isn't based on a few tendencies we might have but on our personalities and needs as a whole.

First, take a test. Don't look up anything, just take the test.

This test is not perfect, but it will give you a starting place. It will also help you to start thinking about your wants. Then start educating yourself. The same website that I gave you to take a test has blogs and educational resources.

And keep in mind that you can be intrigued by the kink community, enjoy watching or reading about it. Without being a part of it. There is no rush to the finish line with the community. Twenty to Twenty-one is still very young for a scene kinkster, so take your time. You don't read one book and jump right into nursing, right? You don't take one dance class and jump into a dance competition?

I really feel like in Kinnporsche love is portrayed as a drug because

You get Kinn and Porsche and for them love is a drug that gets them higher and higher and higher, no other thought behind it. Only staying in that state, the world not existing anymore. No responsibilities, no troubles, no outside.Only them and what they mean and what they want and what they love. But how long can it last? After a high, there always is a low

You get Kim and Chay and for them love is like addiction. A junkie coming back again and again for another hit, not being able to stay away, you want even if it hurts, you cannot resist the siren call. And so you try and you go away and you come back, and you think this will be the last time. I swear, I swear, I swear.

You get Vegas and Pete and for them love is a drug. But what shape is it exactly? Is it poison? Creeping under your skin, so very sweetly and taking you over without you even noticing. Or is it a cure? Here to make you crumble to pieces and remake you over and give you a different shape? Or is it a mix of both? Both corruption and salvation, never understanding who is whom in this equation.

I'm gonna reblog this to answer a question asked of me.

Luta do you 100% believe that Kinn and Porsche are D/s. I'm 90% sure but here ☝️ is why there is difficulty. This isn't a book or even an out right BDSM series, I'm relying on a body language and verbiage to determine. Verbiage is very hard because Kinn is a fucking Mafia Boss. His character is meant to be commanding. So body language. Well if either one of the actors are part of the community it could naturally bleed through in their character movements.

So I'm out here doing the best I can to analyze just like everyone else. I'm not one of those to ever say that my answer is the absolute correct one. I think that character trait would limit my ability to educate myself and grow.

I respect dialog and different opinions. A lot of my personal growth has come from being able to say I'm wrong. So no I'm not 100% sure just 90% and I'm very willing to say I'm wrong if I'm wrong. Buttttt if I'm right, I'm making a post with party emojis 🤪

Thoughts & running commentary by episode:

This is not only my commentary for each of the Kinnporsche episodes but I take note of everything I noticed. During the live put out of this series, I would literally have people wait to do their second watch until they could read these notes. I initially started doing them so that I could reference for my meta but it became something bigger as some things do. Now I didn't start doing this until after episode three in which case I re-watched the series and made notes. which is why you'll see 1 through 3.

This is valid and a valuable point. I respect it and I 100% respect anyone who is not seeing a D/s dynamic. This is art and we will absolutely interpret it differently.

However, for me the issue really is incorrectly labeling the Kink community. Specifically the D/s community. The reasons for people calling Porsche a Dominant are based on incorrect facts and instead are disrespectful opinions. That subs should have no say, never talk back, and are basic doormats. This is disrespectful to subs. Saying that a Dom can't show vulnerability or saying that a Dom wouldn't allow this or that, is disrespectful to Doms.

If someone incorrectly talked about Native American culture, you wouldn't expect me to scroll by. I wouldn't be told not to educate.

Dom/Sub dynamics between Kinn and Porsche

I think I know what the problem is. I think.

It's simple. We're all human and we are heavily PROJECTING.

No matter how objective you are, there is always someone with a counter argument. Sometimes they're wrong. Sometimes they're right. Sometimes you're both right.

Some of you want Porsche to be submissive ergo, you find clues that prove he is. Some of you want him to be dominant, ergo you find clues to support this. And there are those people who don't want uneven power dynamics to begin with. Two guesses what those sort of people will find.

I can make the argument for either case. But you see the thing is, until someone on the show confirms that Porsche is a brat and not just a regular guy resisting Kinn's domineering pettiness, we'll never know.

Not everyone is into powerplay or BDSM. And that's fine. Not everyone wants Kinn to be dominant. That's fine. Not everyone wants Porsche to be dominant. And would you believe that there are people who think there is equality in that relationship and that both Kinn and Porsche take turns with control????

Because for everyone talking about how other people are wrong, the arguments they use to defend their stance could be used to oppose them. I'm telling you. Go try it.

Why? Because this might just be one of those cases where interpretation is up to the viewers.

So, a few words of advice:

Enjoy the show.

Make your meta.

Scroll passed the opinions that irk you.

Engage in respectful dialogue.

Refrain from honestly believing that you, and only you, have the right understanding of what's going on.

this wasn’t in episode 10 but I wanted to mention a moment in episode 9 that reminded me of you — when ming sits with joe at the bar, he tells/commands joe to pour him a drink and like in episode 7 and 10, joe complies. i just love how even when joe is trying his best to distance himself from ming and when ming is trying his best to get close to joe, they both fall back into this dynamic so easily. and i think because the directors worked on kinnporsche, they definitely know what they’re doing with these moments
