~ In quel momento, nauseato, tremante, infreddolito e bagnato, Kingsley seppe esattamente cosa avrebbe fatto della sua vita. Una volta, aveva fatto una promessa a Søren. Aveva fatto una promessa e adesso l’avrebbe mantenuta. Vide un edificio, vecchio, gotico, fatiscente, proprio come lui... in attesa di una rinascita. E la gente in fila che entrava, gente con dei segreti. Loro avevano bisogno di lui, avevano bisogno della sua protezione, della sua conoscenza. Avevano bisogno di inginocchiarsi. Avevano bisogno di un re. ~ Avrei tanto da dire su questo libro che amo con tutto il mio cuore. Potrei citare interi dialoghi e pezzi e averli riletti in italiano mi ha provocato le stesse emozioni di quando, a suo tempo, lo lessi in inglese. Ed è uno di quei libri che rileggo anche solo un paio di pagine per sollevare il mio morale. Non è stato facile scrivere una recensione di L’Ottavo Cerchio ma l’ho fatto e mi ha soddisfatto anche se avrei da dire tanto altro. Anche se forse è quasi impossibile spiegare perché certi libri ci colpiscono così tanto... Quindi io vi invito a leggere questa serie incredibile di una bravissima autrice.
