Dan the Dancer by Mitski: Itward is really loving, he loves his daughter and his big fluffy husband and he loves all of the kids he’s a friend to. He loves to the point where it can even hurt him, like with Clara and Mia. The more romantic lyrics are more of him and palontras because I love them 💁

Bird Song by Florence + The Machine: To me this fits him because it’s both him trying to repress his past but also his own darkness that the kamalas bring out in him.

Kagerou Days (also the Jubyphonic version, or any version rlly! That’s just my favorite one, and it’s in English): this one I feel like is Mr. Midnight towards Fran. I headcanon that the Mr. Midnight we see in the game that talks actually came from an alternate reality, and his Fran died. Fran’s REAL Mr. Midnight died (that’s why we see the cat in the grave) Itward helped bring them back together because there was no way they’d be able to find each other on their own. Mr. Midnight has seen Fran die, and I imagine is really heartbroken over it, and wants to do anything to keep her safe.

If Fran had DID, these would be the roles I think the characters would have:

Mr. Midnight is the non-human gatekeeper

Palontras is the caregiver

Itward is the main protector who's been secretly Co-Con Fran's entire life.

Remor is a persecutor/protector

Fran is the host

The Luciferns are silly littles

Oswald Asylum and Aunt Grace's house is their inner world

The twins are trauma holders

King Ziar would be an archivist or historian

Makuba is a sexual protector

Okhula is a physical representation of their hidden memories/he's the memory gatekeeper

The Great Wizard is a internal helper (My therapists uses internal helpers to describe alters made in therapy and not from a traumatic event.)

Antonio is a fragmented alter.

About the wedding with iward request

"I think he would probably have a "fake" wedding. None of the papers, nothing changes, just.. he and his partner have a little mock party and have fun. Thats it. Its literally in their backyard, the only thing is he wears a bowtie. His partner can just put a white flower in their hair or wear a bowtie also if they want and. Thats it."

What if they happily arranged everything together? Reader baking the cake while Itward rambles about the preparations.... making fran the flowergirl..... palonthras is his best man.... midnight is the ringbearer..................

YAHOO!!! I.. did not end up playing fran bow tonight; I kind of fell asleep early and woke up at 1am <\3 so uh... now it's nearly 2am, and I cant get back to sleep TToTT

A lot of what you said in the ask happens! Palontras is best man, mr midnight is ringbearer, and Fran is the flower girl! While it might not be an official wedding in terms of documents and legal stuff, the ceremony still holds the same sentiments I think..! Really the ceremony is more for you, if anything; I dont remember if I said it, but itward doesn't see marriage as the end all be all of relationships, so I'm not sure if he would really throw a pseudo wedding unless his partner wanted it

Gosh can you imagine getting married in ithersta? Like ithersta already is pretty, but imagine an area getting "the works" to make it for for the occassion

Since it takes place in ithersta, ziar is the "officiant"

Itward makes you both matching rings to further push that point that you guys are dedicated to one another; plus I like to think itward likes showing off his skills and I hc that he makes rings so :3!

The Best Point-and-Click Games

A game’s aesthetic and theme must be creative, unique and interesting to attract viewers. To love a game as a whole, the characters must be great too. Some people may think point-and-click games are boring, but this isn’t the case with certain genres. This is especially the case with the most recent independent indie video games. Because of this, the best point-and-click games will be presented.

1. Fran Bow

Many things are inspired by the “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” novel by Lewis Carroll. This game; however, features many original elements from the book series. Fran Bow, Mr. Midnight, Itward, Palontras and King Ziar are the best characters in the game. In addition, the independent dark fantasy adventure game lives up to its genres with incredible story unpredictability. It also has a strong gothic horror aesthetic, which is seemingly composed of oil paint drawings. This game knows true horror lies within the atmosphere; not jump-scares. Because of this, horror is taken to an all-new level.

2. Sally Face

For some reason, this game is a bit like “Fran Bow” with its own incredible unpredictability and several good characters. Sal, Larry, Ashely, Todd, Lisa, Neil and Gizmo are some of the best characters in the game. In addition, the game has it’s own aesthetic style, which is seemingly composed of sketchy drawings. The game utilizes individual horror elements to build its own creepy atmosphere once in a while. Despite this, there’s a mystery adventure in the indie game with its own kind of dark humor.

3. Little Misfortune

Although this is more of a ‘choose your own adventure’ game, the gameplay is quite similar to a point-and-click game. This independent dark fantasy game takes place in the same universe as Fran Bow. However, there aren’t many horror environments or elements compared to its predecessor. The universe is better described as “messed up” through its dark humor. In addition, the weird and random things in the game are also messed up. These things create a strong and lingering impact while the humor wears off overtime. Despite all of this, the game still features great characters, such as Benjamin and Misfortune.

4. There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension

At first, this seemed like a highly predictable game. However, as it progresses, the game’s story and gameplay mechanics become less predictable and more humorous. This game is the definition of weird upon its completion. Each chapter of the game features a new and different aesthetic art style, which is fun to play. This is a similar way of telling a story by introducing different environments, like what’s seen in the final chapter of “Sally Face”.

5. Alice is Dead

This series includes a sequel game along with a third installment. However, the first game will only be covered. This game has beautiful drawn artwork paired with creepy and cinematic music. It has a mix of old-fashioned Disney movie wonder and creepiness to create a gritty horror style. Although there aren’t too many, there are some random and unexpected horror elements scattered throughout the game. In the end, the mystery is what truly pulls the story through.

6. Parsnip

Like the previous game above, this game is short. There’s also a sequel to this game, but it doesn’t fit into the horror genre in any way. In this game, there are some different ending outcomes a player can easily gain for the sake of the story. One of these include a ‘good’ ending. These ‘endings’ create the adventure daylight horror genre. Besides Parsnip, Bell, LeRose and Squirrel Girl are the best characters in the game.

7. Mr. Hopp’s Playhouse 1 & 2:

The games in this series are of the pixelized stealth horror genre. Both games also have multiple endings. The first installment has its own creepy and suspenseful atmosphere. By the end, players are most likely curious to know more about the story. Like its predecessor, the sequel has its own unique soundtrack, which is easily identifiable and individualized to the series. In addition, this game continues the story and lore befitting its genre to conclude everything from the prequel storyline.

8. Whiskers

Unfortunately, this game is short for those who prefer playing a long title. The game also doesn’t have much of a story either. Regardless of these things, the game’s aesthetic is interesting with a “pant n’ drawing by hand” type of art style to it. The universe is also well-built and horrific in its own twisted way. Overall, for some reason, the game’s situation seems to create “Saw” movie vibes.

The Ultra-war

Since most of the community of Fran Bow/Little Misfortune doesn't even know about this major part of the lore, I've gotta try and uncover it for ya :)

The Ultra-war was a pretty big war between the realities. While the war was happening, different kinds of creatures started appearing as byproducts of the war. They were described as parasitic creatures a.k.a parasites.

Now, what I'm gonna talk about is what I think caused the war to start in the first place.

Do you remember when Fran entered Ithersta and turned into a tree because her human body was destroyed? Yeah, it's pretty hard to forget about that... But at that part of the game, so much more happens than that. Because later on when you get carried to Ziar (the tree king, you have to remember him, otherwise you're not a real fran bow fan) he tells you this: "You can't leave now, it would be too dangerous for us".

But why is it? And why now? After this, Fran gets taken by Palontras (that big fluffy flying axolotl, you HAVE to know him, really) he tells you that: "When you traveled to Ithersta, you opened a door between your reality and ours. And with this door opened, unexpected creatures can also enter our reality! ...And if that happens, the balance will be tainted!"

So basically, what he's telling us is that when Fran fell from the bridge, she entered Ithersta by opening a door between the third reality and Ithersta but after she entered the door remained open and because of that, every kind of monsters can enter Ithersta from the third reality whom will obviously cause troubles. Which we even see through out the game! As Palontras fought them and got seriously injured.

Out of Ithersta. In the 4th chapter's second part, after Fran finally arrived to her aunt's house and got Mr. Midnight to get in the window and open the door for her because her aunt was not home, she gets violently pulled into the car by Dr. Deern (Welp, that was a pretty dick move Marcel. Don't you know how to treat a little lady?!) forced to leave her kitty inside the house. After they drive away, even if only for a mere second, but you can see a bunch of Kamalas and Valokas standing next to each other way too close for comfort. That is the beginning of the war, which we had no idea that it was happening until Little Misfortune came out.

Also there was a snail character in Ithersta (who's name I do not know) who were very strongly hinting to the war.

And that's it! I hope I helped you understand a little bit more about Fran Bow. I'll do more theories about Fran Bow/Little Misfortune very soon :)

Love for all of the Fran Bow characters!

Fran: She worked so hard to get her happy ending! She’s very caring and determined and whenever she makes a mistake she acknowledges it and works to make herself better! She deserved a much happier life!

Itward: A very good man! He cares so much about children in horrible situations and works to help them. He’s also a very cool dude with a good fashion sense!

Palontras: He’s so cuddly!!! He cares about his reality and the people in it so much and would do anything to protect them. He’s good at his job too, and I wanna hug him so bad!

Dr Deern: Such an amazingly good person. He wanted to do good at his job, but when he realized what was going on he did the right thing. He’s so intelligent too, he’s a great man!

Mr Midnight: He cared for Fran Bow much and would go so far as to jump off a cliff for her. He’s the most amazing cat ever and I would love to give him all the pets! And I love the way he talks so formally!

Clara and Mia: They were just kids in a terrible situation. They deserve the same amount of love as Fran. They were in no way evil, they were just trying to make a better life for themselves! And I’ll fight anyway who says they’re the same person or “two-headed!” I love them a lot!!

Mabuka: Maybe she’s the evilest being alive or whatever but she’s really cool! She helped Fran in her journey and she doesn’t seem malicious. She’s just doing what she does.

León: Good, smart boy. Went through a lot but was able to help a lot of people through the research he did. Plus he was like Dr Deern in that he realized what Oswald was doing was wrong.

King Ziar: A very good leader. He wanted to make all his people happy and he’s super cool!

Cogwind: Super smart and helpful. He needs more appreciation in my opinion!

Martin + Lucia: They were amazing people that did not deserve to die. They saw right through Oswald and Grace’s tricks and they tried so hard to save their daughter.

All the kids at the asylum: Two words - deserved better. They deserve all the happiness in the world and I hope they grew up to have amazing and fulfilled lives.

Fran Bow had been enjoying the lovely summer day in Ithersta. She had just finished playing the nice snail’s board game, and decided to head to the palace to talk with King Ziar. She was planning to greet the shopkeepers on the way over. She stopped in her tracks upon noticing a black figure at one of the stalls. Her hands flew to her mouth as she gasped loudly and took a step back. From this angle, the figure looked like Remor!
