Thinking about this, I realized I never told you something important.

Samuel is older than Clef, but more importantly, Samuel was already at the Foundation when Clef arrived as SCP-4231-B. So yes, he knew him from before—long before—and was one of the people who worked on his case. That’s why he was assigned to Alex.

Samuel specializes in non-humanoid objects, but the way he gained recognition within the Foundation was through his connection to a different branch of the cults devoted to the Scarlet King—not the one with the girls, but a sect that followed his doctrine. Still, he has that connection.

That’s why he didn’t want to put Alex and Clef together—it was like mixing gunpowder with more gunpowder. It could be volatile. In his eyes, the fact that they shared such a traumatic past couldn’t end well, not with someone as ignorant as Alex and as unpredictable as Clef.

Okay so this is kinda/sorta the last of my 'Shoujo/Josei I read/enjoyed in 2024' list, save for about four titles that had their first volume drop within the last month or so.
