It's a full time job - twenty four hours of the day for three sixty five days of the year every year; but I love every second of it. It's painful, frustrating and oftentimes, makes me was to cry, but every success brings such satisfaction that all sorrow is wiped away.

You're clumsy, naive and impulsive; constantly getting into trouble. But that's was makes you more lovable. Your personality shines through every pore of your body, your smile, bright and genuine. I can only stand and watch as you spread happiness in your own odd way, feeling it tingle as it touches my skin and infects me making my own lips curl upward.

You're gullible -falling without thinking, trusting without knowing, getting hurt frequently, falling into my arms again and again only to have yourself picked up and your faith in humanity restored. Yet again you fall, stumbling,  hurting and I can only stand, watch and warn with a pained heart.

You've grown into a beautiful woman, you've loved, been loved, hurt and been hurt by unworthy men and friends. I wish I could have stopped them from hurting you, I wish you could have heard me when I screamed out to you that you were worth ten of them, that you were beautiful, that you were perfect. You couldn't hear me at all; however loud I was, however close I got. I could only watch as you wept, your self-esteem tiny as I wrapped my arms around you and held you to my heart and prayed that you wouldn't hurt anymore.

There were moments of joy too where your eyes would sparkle and your lips would part and your sweet laughter would escape them. I relished them with great pleasure knowing that that day, I had succeeded. Our hands would be interlaced; I could and still can feel your joy flood through you veins to mine. We were, are and will be connected by an unbreakable bond. If only you could see it my dearest, if only you could.

But pain comes along more often than happiness. Because I can't protect you from the world as much as I'd like to. I don't even see the point of my name if I can't protect you from everything that could harm you. To shield your innocence from the world, to keep you secure in my arms and never let you go. But all I can do is stand by and watch, catch you when you fall because I can't punish the person who pushed you down. I can only dust you off and hold your hand as you trudge down the path of life yet again and struggle because I can't carry you over the rough paths.

Everybody wants to taint that innocence of yours. Take away those beautiful smiles and inject cruelty into your pure heart. But not on my watch;never on my watch. Any man who approached you with such intentions would have to handle me. Sometimes you wondered what made them turn away, but every night I reassured you that I was and will be there and you didn't need them. No one deserved you; you were too good for the world.

You continue to grow, as does the rest of the world. They're attracted to your innocence and approach with the intention of destroying it. One even penetrating my shielding gaze as he places those filthy hands on your pure soul to defile it, corrupt it, sadden it. He fools you, taking advantage of you naivety making you believe that his heart beats for you the same way mine does. You get carried away, thrown into the storm as you drift farther away from me, but I hold on with everything I have. I watch with tears in my eyes as you get fooled and blinded by his every word.

He presses his filthy lips against your skin as you try to push him away. He is persistent, not heeding your wishes. You protest, pushing harder. His arms wrap around you and I feel a flicker of temper rising in me, a disgusting feeling, I know, as I watch you struggle, the sensation rises. Anger.

My fingers circle tightly around his wrists and pull them away watching him scream as his skin burns at the contact. My eyes narrow, wondering how he felt it, but I continue to punish him, revelling in the screams he emitted at every touch. I look up to see your wide eyes staring at me with pure fear. He collapses to the ground writhing in pain.

I exhale loudly moving to you. You surprise me by backing away fearfully. The chill of the wind crawls up my spine which surprises me as well. The fear in your eyes confuses me as I push my hair back, flustered and frustrated. Your eyes widen as your lips part and my name escapes your lips.

I stand, stunned gaping at you. There's a prevailing silence interrupted only by a groan from the man who finally crawled up and spat abuses at you. Fear takes over your eyes yet again as he steps over to you. My body acts instinctively, pulling you into my chest, where you fit so perfectly. One look at him sends him slinking away as you bury your head further into my chest, whispering my name over and over.

"Suho...you're real." You choke into my chest, running your soft fingers over my arms. Holding on tight like I would disappear.

"I am dearest, I am." I whisper back pulling you closer, relishing the feeling of your skin on mine.

"You're not some guy I've been dreaming about for as long as I can remember?" You mumble, looking up to trace my face with your fingers. My wings tingle at your touch, threatening to rip out of my back.

I chuckle, caressing your cheek and shake my head. My heart is thudding and my body throbs with happiness. Our fingers interlace like its the most natural thing in the planet. We're no strangers, we've known each other forever.

"Let's go home." I whisper, pulling you close to me as my wings rip out of my back and engulfs us. You stare in awe as you lean closer and press a soft, ephemeral kiss on my lips, making me shiver and my wings twitch.  Your arms wrap wround my neck as you rest your forehead on my collarbone. My wings begin to beat, almost as fast as my racing heart as we're both lifted off the ground.  You grip at me tighter and whisper into my ear.

"Thank you my dearest guardian angel. Don't ever leave me."

As we soar into the clouds, I promise you that I never will.

Joonmyun had been suffering a great deal all day. Managing a company was no easy feat and budget time was always frustrating and tiresome. So when he caught sight of the piles of papers stacked on his desk, he nearly threw a fit.

“Are you kidding me? Why does the company make so much money?!”

Miya watched her boss pace around the office in frustration and sighed before getting up to prepare him a cup of coffee, knowing the man would be pulling an all-nighter. She knew him rather well.

Perks of being his fiancé as well as his secretary? She thought as she whacked the often malfunctioning coffee machine which poured out a rather potent looking mixture of caffeine and hot water. Miya stirred in some sugar before making her way back to Joonmyun’s office and rapping her knuckles on the frosted glass door. The man inside snapped his head up from the papers strewn on his table, his fingers were buried deep in his hair and his tie hung loose around his neck. He nodded.

“I got you some coffee sir.” She said, pushing the door open and entering the freezing room frowning the moment the door sealed the two in.

“Just put it there.” He nodded towards the free space at the end of the table which she did. He rubbed his temples and grumbled.

“Myun,” Miya looked at the frustrated man while turning down the air conditioning “just take a break won’t you? You’re really stressed.” she said, eyeing the clear window to make sure the coast is clear before placing her hand on his. He looked up at his pretty fiancé’s face before taking her hand in his. Now this was even more frustrating; here was a pile of work that needed to be finished and at the same time was his sweet distraction in the form of his fiancé.

“Pull the blinds won’t you?” he asked her, cursing himself as he watched her figure retreat towards the windows and the thick white curtains coming down. Joonmyun tried to look back at his work but of course he was already distracted.

Miya stole glances at the handsome man as she walked back towards him, suddenly the ground seemed to give way, and she landed somewhere on Joonmyun’s lap, her hands resting on his chest. Their eyes met as a small smile passed Joonmyun’s lips as his eyes lowered to her trembling lips.

“Well, this sounds like a nice stress relief.” He leaned in, slowly pressing his lips against hers with a great intensity.

What followed was definitely not safe for work as Miya stumbled out of the office embarassed, fixing her clothes and Joonmyun grinned, before getting back to work.
