Kimiko hated feeling like all she ever was to anyone in times like these was backup; superhuman muscle when everyone else was weaker, by no fault of their own, of course. She could punch through walls while anyone else would risk breaking their fingers if they tried to get through thick drywall. She just hated staying out here (in the rain, no less) waiting for the signal that she was needed like a sword and shield. Finally, she walked over to the angel and tapped him on the shoulder. Hands immediately signed 'Where are they?', referencing the Winchesters who were adamant that they could handle this, leaving the two of them out here.

John is bleeding and bruised himself, he cups the black haired girl's face, trying to make her focus fuck I got blood on my damn fingers too "Kimiko, it's alright, my love, I'm okay- we're okay..shh shh." pulling the girl closer in his arms. The very first thing she did when Annie walked into the room was walk right over to her friend and wrap her arms around her. What Firecracker had exposed on live television would have been enough to make anyone march right onto that stage and rip her apart. Every day they seemed to have a new tactic to rip Annie and her supporters apart and it wasn't fair. She pulled back from her friend, fingers tapping against her phone screen.

Are you okay?

Her free hand reached out to take her friend by the arm and usher her to sit down. No doubt her adrenaline was still pumping from kicking Firecracker's ass on live television.

John shakes her off "get lost, Maeve. I just wanted to say something, no fight between us, right, guys?" He turns to look at Kevin and Reggie, the boy in green hoodie raises both hands, smiling to Frenchie who's cowing behind Kimiko "yeah, bro. we're all fine!" John and his gang turn to leave but he glares at Kimiko for the last time, eyes cold and threatening.

'What happens when you do remember it and you can't get it out of your head?'

Memory was a tricky beast. Sometimes it took years of practice to forget fragments of the past that you never wanted to think about again, even if it was right there, so close to being unlocked by a simple trigger. When it was triggered, it was all you could do to forget about it again. By that time, however, it had festered long enough into an inescapable monster, and it felt undefeatable. She knew Frenchie didn't have the answer, both of them unable to truly escape their pasts no matter how hard they were working to move forward. She just hoped he had some words of encouragement that made sense to her to help keep the monster of memory at bay.
