Your heart was fluttering. Soaring like a plane even. As you walked down the road with your head leaned against Gyomei's arm, arm wrapped around his own, and holding hands. It was the perfect start to your new morning and walking outside only to be surprised by Gyomei patiently waiting to walk you to work.
Although you both did stop by the cafe where you had your first date to grab some coffee and something to eat. Chasing after kids all day meant you'd be needing the energy, however you were surprised by seeing a small box next to the cash register. A sign above it advertised some kind of raffle.
"What's that?," you asked pointing towards the box out to the cashier.
He brightly smiled. "It's a raffle to celebrate Kimetsu Academy's fiftieth anniversary! If you leave your name and contact info, you get a chance to win a thousand dollars and a certificate for free cafeteria meals for the rest of the year! Only registered students can enter though." He nudged the box closer to you. "Would you like to enter? I just need to see a student ID to confirm you're a student and you can enter for free!"
"It's going on today?"
"Actually students have until classes are over this Friday to enter, and the winner's gonna be drawn Saturday. How about it? Wanna enter?"
A thousand dollars AND free lunches for the rest of the year!? You could use a thousand dollars to help pay off your car! Or pay bills for a while! Or get Gyomei a great present! And free lunches for the rest of the year would save you SO much money!...Buuut the chances of you getting picked within like thousands of other students was slim. Oh what the heck. It was a free raffle. Even if you didn't win what's the harm?
You did end up digging your student ID out of your bag to confirm your student status to the cashier before writing your contact info on a piece of paper, slipping it into the box, grabbing your coffee, and then leaving with Gyomei.
He himself felt his cheeks and ears burn up a bright happy pink as the smaller hand squeezed his. He was still half convinced that it was all just a dream and he'd wake up to no one being there. But as she held onto him as they crossed the campus and towards your workplace. You were surprised to see that he came inside with you until your coworker came up to you with a baby currently nomming on their hand in her arms.
"Y/n, there you are! Practically everyone dropped their kids off already and we've been swamped!," she grumpily said. "It's about time you and the new guy got here!"
You blinked staring at her confused. "New guy?"
He gestured to Gyomei behind you bouncing the drooling baby on her hip. "Yeah? Himejima. The boss liked his application so he got the job."
You blinked in surprise blinking before turning to Gyomei who still only smiled at you. "Is that what you meant by 'the job interview ' you had?"
He nodded. "Yes. I'm sorry for not telling you beforehand but I didn't know if I would get the job here. It's only going to be for a year anyways before I finish my last year and earn my degree."
You beamed. "Are you kidding?! That's amazing! I'd love to work with my boyfriend! This is like a dream come true for me-"
"Then would you two PLEASE get changed and help me with playtime?," your coworker interrupted with a raised brow.
"Oh! S-Sorry."
You two quickly got changed into the signature pink aprons (honestly you were surprised they were able to find one that fit Gyomei-) and quickly just got to work helping your coworker take care of the infants that the parents dropped off before going to classes as your manages escorted Gyomei somewhere else. Guess she wanted to walk him through his first day on the job, and help out considering the increase of children that came into the daycare last month. But I digress. You only busied yourself by helping in the infantry wing of the daycare. Getting to work changing one crying baby's diaper before going on to sit down and attempt to rock a stubborn baby down for a nap. However he was stubborn and kept waking up just as he started to nod off and give an angry babble in protest.
"Stubborn little guy aren't you?," you asked him still gently rocking him in the chair.
Again the baby made a noise pouting and waving his tiny hands in protest making you chuckle-
RING!!
Until the front desk bell rang out. The noise caused you to stop rocking and your coworker to look up from counting the diaper supply in the nearby closet, both of you looking towards the doorway.
RING RING!!
The noise came back louder than before and one of the sleeping infants gave a small noise of protest in their sleep.
"Oh you've got to be kidding me." Your coworker mumbled before lightly placing her head on the closet door.
DING DING DING DING!!
The constant dinging of the bell made her inhale deeply and turn to you. "Give me the baby and go see who the heck is there before I go and ding that thing against their heads!" She was already holding out her hands for the baby in your arms just as another two ding sounds sounded from up the hall. "And tell them to shut up before they wake up these babies!" She hissed already plucking the half asleep baby boy from your arms and heaving him onto one shoulder.
"Sure." You stood up with a smile. "I'll get right on th-"
"WAAAHH!!"
Your head whipped behind you as finally the previously stirring baby woke up and started crying. Your coworkers eye twitch as only more dinging came from the front desk. You only quickly scurried out promising to come back soon and help her.
DINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDING-!!
A rapid ringing sounded as someone repeatedly just mashed the bell at the front desk making you frown annoyed. What kind of Karen were you going to be dealing with today? With a frown you poked your head out the doorway making out half the figure of a man turned away from you looking around the front lobby, a toddler on his hip and two bags slung over his shoulders. You frowned before inhaling deeply and forcing a customer service smile on your face.
"I'm coming!," you called out making your way towards him to which he turned around sharply.
"Oh thank fu-.." He paused looking at the boy in his arms. "..Fudge! Thank FUDGE!! I've been standing here forever and I'm late for my da-..DARN classes! It's doesn't usually take this-.."
He paused seeing who came out from the back hallway and you also paused seeing who it was. You blinked once. Twice. Before the realization that SANEMI was the one standing in front of you hit you. The same thing must've been happening to Sanemi because he slowly blinked, face surprised. You both probably would've continued if the little boy in his arms didn't look up from his toy and gasped happily!!
"Y/N!!," he cheered tugging on Sanemi's shirt and pointing the toy at you. "Nemi it's da nice lady!!"
Sanemi jumped as his little brother squealed out and looked at him. "What?"
"Hi, Sanemi," you greeted making him look back to you sharply however you just smiled. "It's nice to see you again. Were you looking for Gyomei?"
He seemed to finally snap out of it before shaking his head. "No. I'm dropping off my baby brother for my mom. She's busy trying to fix an emergency at work." Without saying anything he leaned his little brother forward into your awaiting arms. "And I'm already late for my dam classes-"
"SWEAR!," Koto tattled pointing back to his brother hurrying to get the diaper bag off his shoulder.
"Here! He's got some clothes n' stuff. I'll pick 'em back up when my classes are done!" The bag dropped on the counter with a plop sound before reaching out to ruffle his little brother's head. "Be good. I'll see you later."
With that he turned and practically ran out with Koto waving at his big brother. "Bye bye, Nemi!" A toy was shoved up to your face. "Play?"
"Not right now. I have to work but I'll drop you off somewhere you can play with the other nice kids."
In the end you dropped off both Koto and his bag with your manager in the daycare room before you left back to help your frustrated coworker in the infantry wing. Luckily it wasn't too much of a problem afterwards to get both babies to sleep again and help her with a supply count. It was a bit of a pain to have so many children with a few workers but somehow you all made it. However you can't say you weren't happy when the day started to tick closer to a close and slowly parents started filing in, some carrying backpacks or books from classes, and picking up their kids after showing confirming identities. You waved goodbye to a little girl who was picked up by her tired dad after coming back from chemistry class and waved goodbye to you with a smile! You couldn't help but wave back with a chuckle before returning to the back to help clean up and disinfectant everything else for tomorrow, passing by your coworker hauling out some trash and stopping by one room which lead to what was essentially a giant playroom bigger than your kitchen and bedroom combined.
A few people were already in there sweeping, and picking up toys, and wiping down things with wet wipes. One being your boyfriend who was still holding a familiar toddler in one arm and wiping spilt grape juice off a table with the other.
"How was your first day?" His head turned to you with a smile already on his face as you leaned on the doorway. "By the looks of it, you had a wild snack time."
He chuckled and you swore his deep chuckles would make anyone blush. "Just an accident with a leaky juice box. Overall it was rather well." He slowly stood back up turning his head in your direction. "They seemed to like story time."
"You should've seen him!" Your boss proudly looked at him from spraying the toys with a disinfectant spray. "The kids all adored him! And he put them all down for naps in record time! I knew I had a good feeling when I saw you!"
He chuckled a bit flustered at the older woman's praise. "I thank you for the compliment."
"Is he the last one here?," you asked nodding at Sanemi's brother in his arms.
"Yes," Gyomei confirmed, "But Sanemi might be a bit behind today. He's been really busy with classes and helping his family these days."
"Oh no. I hadn't known about that."
It was then Koto looked up at you and gasped. "NICE LADY!!" He cheered making Gyomei blink at him. "Now we play?!"
You couldn't help but laugh at the two year old. "No sorry. I have to help clean up."
A loud whine escaped his throat but Gyomei only hummed. "I had no idea you already knew Sanemi's family."
"I don't. Well not all of them." You gestured to the boy in his arms still giggling in his arms. "I've been working here since Koto was a baby, but I had no idea that Sanemi was his older brother."
He nodded wiping the table again. "Yes. His mother uses his student discount for the daycare since his other siblings are already school aged. I'm afraid Koto still can't attend the local preschool until he's four or five years old."
"Oh, that's why he was dropping him off. But it's strange I've never seen him drop Koto off before."
He hummed brows furrowing slightly. "Well it could be because of the recent strain his family is going through."
Recent strain? What recent strain? You didn't think Sanemi looked stressed yesterday when you all went to the onsen. Other than arguing with Obanai on horror movies but with how those two acted you got the sense that's how they were all the time. So what could it possibly be?
"He didn't seem that stressed when I saw him Friday or yesterday even. Is he alright?"
Gyomei looked at you before again his head tilted at the boy playing with a toy car. "... We'll talk later."
You weren't sure what he meant by that but you respected his choice. For now you you left to go help clean up the nursery room before it was time before you all left. By the time you got done helping to wash and change the sheets and wiping down the surfaces, Gyomei was already standing outside waiting for you still in his giant pink apron and still holding Onto who looked like he tuckered out and decided to take a nap in his large arms. He turned towards the directions of your footsteps and smiled brightly.
"Ah. There you are. Are you finished with your duties?," he asked politely.
You nodded. "Yes. Oh." You stopped seeing Koto still asleep in his arms. "Has Sanemi not arrived yet?"
He shook his head no. "No but he'll probably be running a little late. He also tutors for an hour after classes to help make some extra money."
"What does he do for a living anyways?"
"He tutors math lessons and currently works online part-time for a telemarketing company that sells magazines."
"Oh. He must be really good at math then."
"The best actually. He's smarter than he looks."
"I don't doubt that." You giggled at the memory of him using those skills to get more girls on Tengen's back Friday. "Did you want to come over to my house for dinner tonight? I can make a mean spaghetti with mushroom sauce."
He hummed and was about to say something but before he could say anything a loud shout from up the hall caused both of you to snap your heads to the left towards the front lobby. It sounded like a woman's voice.
"No identification! No pick up! Now leave before I call security!"
You knew that voice. Your coworker.
"Fucking hell! That's my student ID! You want my dam driver's license too?!"
Uh oh. You definitely knew THAT voice. Quickly you approached the front peeking around the corner and sure enough found the sources of the cussing. Sanemi was looking annoyed down at your coworker with gritted teeth and his student ID was laid out on the counter by his hand. You coworker looked angry but slightly intimidated by the way he was leaning over the counter. She remained firm crossing her arms.
"You're not on the registry for pick up or emergency contacts. You're not allowed to take any child unless you're on the registry or the guardian calls to confirm alternative pick ups which neither have happened."
"Fucking-" A hand gripped his hair before running down his face. THUD! She jumped as both of his hands slammed down on the counter and he leaned farther onto it to shout at her face. "We have the same fucking last name! I dropped Koto off this morning!! What other fucking 'confirmation' do you want?!"
"S-Sir, if you don't calm down a-a-and leave I-Ill  call campus security."
"I AIN'T LEAVING WITHOUT MY BROTHER!!"
Oh no. This was escalating quickly. You had better step in before things got out of control.
"Lacey." Said woman jumped up and both of their heads snapped up as you smiled walking in calmly. "Is everything ok?"
"Oh thank fuck! It's you!" Sanemi sounded relieved before snapping Lacey another accusing look. "This walking clown is refusing to give Koto back! Tell 'er that I dropped him off!"
"Sanemi, we are a daycare. I'll have to ask you not to use cuss words and foul language or I'll have to ask you to wait outside." You lightly scolded him with a smile which caught him off guard with a blank blink. You just hummed turning to Lacey. "Now what seems to be the problem?"
Lacey scowled. "He's not on the registry. No registry or guardian notice means no pick up."
Sanemi looked about ready to combust with an eye twitch and a few viens popping up on his body.
"Here. Let's just take a look at it to confirm just in case." With a hum you just gently nudged her out of the way so you could have access to the computer. Humming to yourself you just typed into it with both watching you. "Koto Shinazugawa. Right here. Now let's see...Oh. it does look like only his mom is listed." Lacey sent a smug look at- "Let's see if we had any missed calls from her." You continued into your database and with a few clicks of a mouse found something. "Oh. It looks like we have two missed calls from Mrs. Shinazugawa."
"Yeah! My mom tried calling you guys to let you know I'd be here!"
"I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Let's just call her back real quick just to make sure everything's lined up. Alright?" You stayed professional smiling at him as he continued to glare but slowly relaxed. Leaning off the counter and crossing his arms as you grabbed the phone and redialed the number. A few rings went by your ear before you perked up. "Hello, Mrs. Shinazugawa! I'm sorry to call you-...Yes. I know you are probably busy with deliveries. No. Your son is fine! Sleeping like a baby! I just wanted to call you back to make sure Sanemi was supposed to pick up his brother....Really? Great! Sorry for the missed calls. We were swamped today. You have a nice day, Ma'am. Sorry for bothering you." The phone hung up with a click as you smiled at Sanemi. "Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll go get Koto's bag for you."
Lacey's face dropped as Sanemi huffed. "It's about time."
"You're really going to give him the kid?"
You turned to Lacey. "Their mom confirmed it just now." She opened her mouth- You pointed at her. "You know you're supposed to check the database before denying or confirming anyone who comes in here. We provide good customer service which means we check first. You know that from training."
"It's not my fault." She hissed at you. Before half nodding back towards the now much calmer man. "Have you seen him?"
"I have actually. What are you getting at?"
She looked at you like you were crazy. "uh-..Are you blind? He looks like he just got out of jail!" Sanemi's eyes shifted over. "By the way he acts, I wouldn't be surprised if he's done some crap too-"
"Lacey. Do me a favor. Shut up."
Her face blinked at your happy smiling one. "I-..What?"
"You heard me. Shut up. I don't care what you think, discriminating someone just because he has scars is as stupid as saying that someone is dumb because they're blonde. And if I hear that again I'm telling our manager. So why don't  you just get the broom and start sweeping the front like you're supposed to?"
She didn't say anything as you turned to leave- Blinking at Gyomei standing there still with the sleeping toddler in his arms and tilting his head down at you. However you only patted his arm with a smile and informed him that you were going to grab Koto's overnight bag before leaving to go grab it from the cubby closet. He stood there still before tilting his head at Sanemi and could guess the surprise that was plastered all over the other man's face right now. Staring wide eyed in silence.
You returned a moment later with the bag Sanemi left with you and by then Gyomei was already handing him back his baby brother. Koto yawned half way woken up by the jostle however lit up when he saw his big brother.
"Nemi!" He tiredly reached out to him and tiredly curled up on his shoulder with a yawn.
"Here's his bag." You smiled handing him the duffle bag he just slumped over his shoulder with a blank look.
"Yeah. Thanks."
"Sanemi, are you going home after this?"
Said white haired man looked at Gyomei with a frown. "My mom doesn't get off work for another three hours. Genya and Teiko can watch the other three for a little longer. I'm just gonna work on my project until my mom picks up Koto."
"In that case do you want to join us for dinner?" The loom Sanemi gave you was like if you just slapped him. "I'm making spaghetti tonight."
"Sketti!" Koto peeked up immediately turning around to you with a smile. "YUM!"
Sanemi continued to stare at you.. before he shook his head and turned. "No. Kanae's picking up something. I'll see ya round Gyomei."
You frowned at him. Was it something you said? Koto waved at you from his big brother's shoulder and you waved back until they left out the door. Well safe to say that was strange, but you supposed that since he's been going through a lot it wasn't that out of the ordinary. You also decided not to pry Gyomei for answers. That was between Sanemi and his family and partners so you'd respect that privacy. Although you couldn't say you weren't curious about it all.
Tuesday went by better. This time you got there early enough to be informed that Sanemi and Koto's mom called. Apparently Sanemi would be dropping off and picking up Koto for the foreseeable future until she became available and to put him down as an emergency contact in the daycare's registry. You remembered Mrs. Shinazugawa. She was a middle aged woman who was oddly small and always looked tired when she came in starting to drop off Koto as a baby three years ago. At the time you assumed that she was going back to college to earn a degree and that's why she was using Kimetsu University's daycare.
But finding out she was using Sanemi's status as a student for a discount on childcare was both a more believable answer and only more curious about it. But again you respected their boundaries and only tended to Koto and the other kids until it was time for his big brother to pick him up. You thought it was adorable. He'd get so excited and shout 'NEMI' every time he saw him regardless of just seeing him that morning.
Each time he'd give you a strange look before just taking his brother and leaving. You were confused about the looks but they weren't angry looks just almost confused. He probably just was still getting used to Gyomei having a new girlfriend. You were still getting used to having a boyfriend yourself so it was understandable. Lacey continued to give him and you dirty looks..but hadn't done anything since Monday's fiasco so you didn't worry about her anymore. It wasn't until Thursday morning that your curiosity was finally sated. You forgot your lunch at home while fishing out to work one morning, so again you decided to stop by the campus cafe to grab a sandwich to eat later when you ran into two familiar faces. One was a woman with long black hair and pink eyes. The other was a tall man with white hair and red wine eyes. They were shuffling around the side of the register as people walked by.
Hey. Wasn't that-
"Kanae?" Your voice asked before the woman turned her head around with a blink followed by the white haired man. "Tengen?"
On cue he smiled. "Well, well, well. If it isn't the future Mrs. Himejima." He winked sending you a finger gun making you chuckle. "What's cooking good looking?~"
You couldn't help but giggle at him. "I forgot my lunch at home so I was just grabbing a sandwich for later. What are you guys doing here?"
"Entering that raffle. Tomorrow's the last day you can enter."
"Oh. Planning on getting that paint set you mentioned if you win?"
Tengen frowned shaking his head. "Actually it's for-" He paused looking back to Kanae and jabbing a thumb to you. "Actually it's ok to tell 'er right? Or is that stepping over a boundary?" She looked at him then at you.. before nodding. "Alrighty then." Red eyes looked back to you. "It's actually for Sanemi."
You blinked. "What?"
"Well if any of us win that is. No guarantee that any of us will." He waved a hand. "But the more of us that enter, the better chances there are of us actually getting it."
"Why does Sanemi need it?" You didn't think he was anymore broke than you were.
"It's not exactly for him really. It's so his mom can pay off that debt faster."
That's when it all clicked. The mentioning of Mrs. Shinazugawa struggling, Sanemi helping to take his brother to daycare, Gyomei's reluctance to talk about it- You almost didn't catch what Tengen said next with a distasteful bite to his voice.
"Ever since that asshole died, his family's been having nothing but a hard time."
"Let's not speak ill of the dead Uzui," Kanae lightly scolded him. "He's still Sanemi's father."
"Wasn't much of a father in the first place."
"Wait. His father passed away?" You went wide eyed at them when Kanae nodded.
"It was an accident. A hit and run driver ran him over when he was crossing the road at night-"
"Right as he was coming back from the casino." Kanae shot Tengen a scowl this time. "Oh come on, Kanae. Don't sugarcoat it. If we're gonna tell her might as well tell it how it is." He looked at you with a mad look. "The greedy rats ass was killed coming back all high strung from the casino. Good riddance I'd say but because his mom wasn't divorced yet from the deadbeat now she has to pay off his gambling debt! At least they didn't have to pay for the funeral."
You could only stare at him in shock. "That's awful. How much was it?"
"Seven thousand dollars." Tengen threw up his hands. "How do those debt collecting sharks expect her to just magically come up with that money?! She's already trying to raise like six other kids!"
"Seven thousand dollars?!"
That was a lot of money! If Mrs. Shinazugawa was already struggling then this would've put a lot of strain on her already.
"A thousand dollars ain't much but it'd be a thousand dollars she doesn't have to pay. ...*sigh* Anyways you said you wanted to get a sandwich?"
"Uh.. Y-Yeah. I was."
You made sure to be extra nice to Sanemi after that and play with Koto when he asked, despite the confused looks Sanemi still gave you. He wasn't ever mean to you and after finding out about his family situation you didn't have any reasons to be mean back. Soon Thursday and Friday turned into Saturday morning and you FINALLY got a day off to yourself to finish up some real work.
"Are you sure you don't want to come join us at the park? I heard there's going to be a vendor that sells delicious homemade ice cream."
You smiled one shoulder holding up your phone to your ear as you continued to write down on a piece of paper. "Sorry, Mei. I'd love to but I have to get this report done before Monday and I already planned on cleaning my house today. Maybe tomorrow."
"I understand completely. I'll swing by later today to make sure you're not overwhelming yourself."
You smiled. If there was one thing that you already loved about your boyfriend is was how understanding of you he was. "Alright. Have fun on your date with Giyuu and Shinobu. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun."
With that out of the way you were able to get your project mostly done. Mostly because of a second phone call you got right in the middle of trying to finish up your health class report. Which honestly did annoy you a little bit. You wanted to get this done TODAY and then get all of your household chores done TODAY so you could have TOMORROW off with your boyfriend! It continued to ring so with a sigh you dropped your pencil to pick it up and hold to your ear.
"Hello?"
"Y/n L/n?"
"Yes. Who is this?" You frowned but soon that frown disappeared and your eyes widened. "Shut up. You're kidding? Wha- No! I'm not busy! I can come over right now and pick it up! Where?" You stood up quickly nearly knocking over the papers on your table as you ran to grab your shoes. "Dean's office! Right! Are you sure this isn't a prank call?....Ok! Im on my way right now! Holy cow this is unbelievable! Yeah! I'll see you soon! Bye!"
You squealed in utter astonished happiness as you ran to go grab your shoes! What should you do first?! Pay off your car? Get that pet ferret you always wanted? Maybe take Gyomei out for a really fancy dinner? The possibilities were endless! You happily skipped out of your house and ran down the road towards the academy. Running and running and running...
But slowly your running slowed.
And the giddy smile turned to a thin line.
And you stopped in the middle of the sidewalk.
Staring at nothing in particular until you blinked and looking back to your house.
......
THUD. THUD. THUD. THUD.
"Nemi, chill! You're gonna give yourself brain damage if you keep that up!"
Two small hands on his head stopped Sanemi in his pursuit of hitting his head against the table repeatedly. Only stopping so he didn't painfully smash Suma's fingers between his forehead and Tengen's table. Not like it'd do anyone good even if they stopped him.
"I just found out Genya and Hiroshi got a part time job to help my mom pay bills and Teiko started babysitting for money." His head lifted up to glare angrily at nothing. "HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO BE CALM?! THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO WORRY ABOUT BEING KIDS NOT HAVING TO HELP MY MOM PAY BILLS!! NOW TEIKO IS STUCK TRYING TO WATCH THE OTHERS AND OTHER BRATS AT OUR HOUSE AND MY BROTHERS ARE FLIPPING BURGERS AT A WACKDONALDS!!"
He ended his rant by slamming his fists on the table and letting veins bunch up in anger. Most people would flinch but considering how used to his anger they were, his girlfriend and Suma only looked on in growing concern than actual fear.
"Honey, it's not going to be forever." Kanae attempted to soothe her boyfriend with a gentle hand softly rubbing his back. A small kiss pressing to his cheek. "They promised you it's only going to be until that big debt bill is paid off, and you guys already paid off a good portion of it."
That seemed to calm him down somewhat as he ate least unclenched his teeth and relaxed back a little bit. "I know. I just don't want them to get it in their heads that they have to work at an early age! They should be worried about school and getting good grades not paying bills... Maybe I should drop out and get a full time job."
"WHAT?! NEMI, NO!!" Sum hopped from one foot to the other. "You came so far! And you'll graduate after next year!"
"She's right! You only have a year and a half more then you'll graduate. Your mom wouldn't want you to quit."
"Maybe that's not what she wants.." Body deflated. Head hung. "But that might be what she needs."
There was silence as both women stared at him then at each other in lost. He couldn't just quit. He worked so hard to get to where he was at, already sacrificing lots of things. If he did this now..then he'll regret it later. But with his family struggling as it was how could they ask him to change his mind? They would've continued to sit there in silence if there wasn't a loud knock on the door that had them all look up. Again there was silence before the knocking came again but a bit louder. After exchanging looks, Suma eventually stop up and went to go answer the door. Pulling it open, blinking...and then beaming into a smile.
"Y/N! Oh my gosh! Hi! What are you doing here!?"
"Hi, Suma. Is Sanemi here?" Said white haired man perked up hearing his name. "Gyomei told me I could find him here."
"Yeah! You wanna come in?"
"Can't. I have to go pay some bills and finish cleaning my house. But can you give him this for me? It's really important he gets it."
"Sure! I'll do that right now!"
"Thanks! You're a life saver!"
They were surprised when Suma closed the door a moment later before turning and revealing a large manilla envelope in her hand.
"The hell is that?"
She shrugged. "No idea. Y/n said it's for you. OOH!! Maybe it's the recipe for that ohagi you liked! Y'know she ones she made that weekend."
"Tch. That'd be one good thing outta this dam day."
He mumbled under his breath as Suma walked over to him and he just bluntly took it from her. Giving a look at the front and back before just tearing off the top and peeking inside. In an instant his face went from bored and annoyed to cartoony shocked in one second. Both girls watched his expression change rapidly, looked at one another, before Kanae just reached over to pull the opening up more to look inside and VERY quickly gained the same shocked expression.
"Oh my," was all she managed to say.
"What is it?! Tell me!"
"Money."
"What?!" Suma quickly joined the two gasping out. "HOLY COW!! LOOK AT THE ZEROS ON THAT CHECK!!"
Sanemi continued to stare at the envelope blankly until Kanae pried it from his hands to peer inside with a raised brow. "There's a card in here too." Holding it up, narrowed pink eyes were able to read it. "It's a gift card of some sort."
"Hey. Wasn't this stuff like...the prizes for that raffle or something?"
Again there was silence as a realization of what exactly was sitting in Kanae's hands washed over them all...until a loud scraping of a chair caused both ladies to jump as Sanemi abruptly stood up and just..stared at the table. Silently stirring something around in his head before both hands landed with a loud thud sound on the table.
"Sanemi?" "Honey, are you ok?"
"I'll be damned...Kanae."

Tried to imitate the bonus comic in kimetsu gauken! Anyways
Tumblr media
You should probably never trust Mari to go by herself... She easily gets fixated on something that stands out to her....

Can I ask Sanemi a question? You finally asked out teacher Kanae on a date (Sanemi is also a teacher), but she declined because she has a boyfriend. The art teacher found out that Kanae refused your request for a date ,so the art teacher asked you out on a date (she's had a crush on Sanemi for a long time/she's beautiful and kind), reaction?
Lunch in the teacher’s lounge
Sanemi got rejected by Kanae after finding out that she already has a boyfriend. But suddenly, you sit down across him during lunch break.
Here’s pt.2!
Pairing: teacher!Sanemi x teacher!reader
Tumblr media
Sanemi has been a little harsher with his students lately. Somehow, it was possible for him to be stricter, even more short-tempered and giving out even more cursed and hell-like homework! What’s up with this guy?!
After finishing his math class and heading to the teacher’s lounge, Sanemi eyed a from his desk. He asked her last Friday if she’d like to go out on a small date with him, nothing too special, just to grab a bite and talk. She declined and revealed to him that she actually already has a boyfriend. Shame and embarrassment cut deep into his pride, and he let it out on his kids. And right now, his food.
Sanemi has been poking his bento box for a while now, moving his rice side to side. He wasn’t really in the mood to eat right now, Kanae’s talking to her boyfriend over the phone, and he couldn’t help but try to eavesdrop a little. But as he lifted his head in an attempt to hear even more, the chair across him moved and somebody say down. He turned his head and wanted to glare at the person. Probably Tengen or something who’s going to tease him for staring too much. But his eyes widened slightly and he closed his mouth again once he saw you sitting across him.
You had a soft smile on your face, holding your bento box. “Shinazugawa-sama, aren’t you hungry?” You eyed his still fully present meal. Sanemi grumbled and picked some rice up with his chopsticks, stuffing it into his mouth “Not really.” He eyed you while poking his fried veggies. Your smile faltered slightly. “You have been a little sour lately, so-“ “What’s up with you? Can’t ya leave me be?” Sanemi glared at you after interrupting your sentence. You sighed and opened your bento box, grabbing an ohagi with your chopsticks, putting it down in Sanemi’s box. Then you moved another, and another. “I heard you liked ohagi, so I made some at home. I’m not sure if they’ll taste good though, it was my first time making them.” You gave him another warm smile, watching how Sanemi’s expression changed from annoyance to confusion. He looked down at his meal.
After a couple seconds of awkward silence, he picked up one of the ohagis you made and took a bite. They actually tasted quite good. “Thanks.” Sanemi mumbled with his mouth full. A piece of the red bean paste stuck to his cheek, making you giggle. “You have something there-“ You pointed at his cheek. Sanemi’s face flushed a little and he grumbled, wiping his cheek with his hand. “What do ya want anyway? You sat down across me just to give me ohagi?” He was eying you while finishing the first ball.
“Actually, I was wondering if you’d like to join me to go to a movie.” Sanemi choked and started coughing loudly, a light blush tinting his cheeks. A couple other teachers eyed you two, but Sanemi glaring at them back made them look away quickly again.
He lifted his gaze again and stared at you. “What made ya think I’d like to watch a movie with you?” You shrugged. “Well, the movie is actually quite interesting! It’s a school-based movie with a lot of different elements that might interest both of us! I don’t want to spoil you too much! Would you like to join me? It’s fhis Saturday evening.” Your smile was bright and genuine, making Sanemi avert his eyes.
“Sure, whatever. Won’t hurt I guess.” He grumbled, grabbing another one of your ohagis. Sanemi lifted his gaze and eyed you, noticing your big grin and soft blush on your face.
Suddenly, all the thoughts about Kanae disappeared, replaced by your blushing face and soft smile. Damn, he really does fall inlove too easily…
💠
Thank you for saving me out of my brainrot! This was perfect <3 I hope you enjoyed this!
Anyways, make sure to EAT, SLEEP and DRINK enough.
Take care of yourselves <3

Tired of people pushing the agenda that Genya isn’t smart or strong, as if he didn’t learn repetitive action based on observation alone, as if he isn’t canonically smarter than his friends in kimetsu gauken and as if his ability to eat demons and later down the line develop his own blood demon art in the midst of battle, isn’t insanely op.
Just because he was under utilized in the story does not mean he’s some sort of dull spoon compared to Sanemi just because Sanemi shines stronger in brute strength and proper breathing techniques. And happens to be good at math.

Hey. It's Enchantedtoon. If it's ok, what kind of gifts you think Kimetsu Gauken version of Yoriichi and Michikatsu would get their wife?
GIFT ME YOUR HEART // request
Eeh, first request !! :D
I didn’t have read Kimetsu Gakuen yet, but, I will try my best !
Michikatsu/Kokushibo x reader | Yoriichi x reader
SFW
No proofread.
Tumblr media
Speaking into the Gakuen universe that it’s basically our moderns times, I still think Yoriichi would be the traditional type of guy. Not in the bad side, of course.
So, I believe Yoriichi Tsugikuni would get you the most beautiful flowers he could find, but not any type of flower. He would discover your favorite flower by little questions there and here. But then you ask me “So, he would just buy me flowers?” No, no. That man would GROWN THEM BY HIMSELF.
He believes that you would love something made by his hand, since he loves anything that is made by you, your cooking (if you do), your touch, your lips touching his. So, he would grown a full garden backyard for you full of them, and when they’re finally full bloomed, he would take you there and make a picnic night, only you two and your little garden.
“I..hope you like the gift I made for you. I have spent..a lot of time here, so you could always awake and look at them..”
Tumblr media
Michikatsu it’s a reserved man, with a big difficulty of showing his emotions and how express them. But, you still married him, so, let’s go.
I believe that Michikatsu would get you more of material gifts, he can’t comprehend how to do things more emotionally, so, whatever thing you have put your eye own he would do his best to get it for you. He can and he will.
But, I also think he would want something to gift his wife something that is made by him. So, I believe he would do little wood cravings for you. Little animals that you liked, maybe some characters in a mini and not so detailed version for you to have on your desk, and the list go on :)
Tumblr media
it's my first time doing that, sorry if it's a bit too small and if it do not reach your expectations. ..

This month issue of Kimetsu Gauken was so funny and hilarious af😭🤣🤣
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love how they adapted Shinjiro’s depression to the Academy’s AU, but the man is extremely pitiful 😭
Like dude you just met the kids and you’re already complaining about your life
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Butt naahhh the real comedy in this panel was the Kamaboko squad 😭 Inosuke and Zeintsu are fed up with Tanjiro’s kindness
And here where the comic stabbed my heart. Shinjiro loves his family and his kids so freaking much and he misses the old times when they used to practice swordsmanship
And I couldn’t include this, but shinjiro states here that he feels terrible for degrading his kids
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But this old man is funny af😭 the pat here carries unmeasurable weight of comedy
They look freaking cool tho
Tumblr media
And here we know why Rengoku’s dojo is out of applicants💀
Tumblr media
OKAY ENOUGH LAUGHING NOW LETS CRY
Tumblr media
I always think of kimetsu gauken as reflections for what-could-be-canon-if-so . And in this panel, if Shinjiro once told Kyojuro how proud he is, the latter could be the happiest man in the world. In this scene it came out if blue, but Kyojuro was always longing to hear his father’s approval
TL,DR : Basically the Kamaboko squad helping Shinjiro to attract students to his dojo

hahahaaaha :)
imma put this under readmore in case this post showed up on their tag..
(spoiler i dont like him 😔)
and ill be using emojis when referring Gyo just in case
the ship has been around even before the anime and ive never like it?? even before im into hantan i just dont like it.. not because of the ship it self i just dont like🏺as a whole 😭😭😭 idk he's just annoying to see 😭😭 so i tried to just ignore their existence..
but recently someone fixed my hantan art on twitter and changed it to 🏺👺 and idk i just loathe the ship now. im all good if u wanna talk shit abot my crackship but like dont take my art and "fix" it??? just make a new 🏺👺 art. i tried to not bash ppl's ship except with a close friend so this will be the only post i talk about it openly. except hating on🏺 😈😈😈 jk
as for 🏺 i tried to add him in some of my AUs so i don't hate him so much.. he's pretty important in my HanTan swap AU. beside being Han's swordsmith he is Han's only close friend but i dont plan on putting any romantic stuff between them.. ever..
also i need someone to make Tan jealous 😈😈😈😈 im sorry am weak for jealous trope 😔😔 and thinking about demon Tan being jealous is 🥺🥺🥺🥺 also its a funny scenario when 🏺 found out Tan used to be jealous of him and 🏺's like "lmao keep ur ugly ass oldman i dont want him"

"A small misunderstanding" Mariyui fluff fic
(Kimetsu gauken AU)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Mari and Yuichiro were walking to their school, The two intertwining their hand together as they made their way. The brunette yawned, catching the shogi player's attention.
"Did you not get any sleep, Mari?" Yuichiro asked, arching an eyebrow at Mari who was rubbing her eye. She nodded before looking up at Yuichiro.
"Nope... Nee-chan needed my help to prepare for her lesson that's gonna happen today..." Mari answered as the two made it to their lockers and opened it, intending to change their shoes. A pile of love letters fell from Yuichiro's locker, earning a snicker from his childhood friend.
"Woaaaaahhh... That's a lot of love letters." Mari commented, chuckling and changing her shoes before hopping her way to Yuichiro's side and examining the pile of love letters. Yuichiro rolled his eyes, taking a love letter and ripping it into two.
"This is pointless. I'm not interested in any of these idiots." Yuichiro scoffed, Mari furrowed her eyebrows at the harsh comment, though she understood where he was coming from.
"That's a little mean, but I guess I understand you. Oh! Chocolate!" Mari snatches a chocolate bar that was around the pile of love letters, unwrapping it. Yuichiro's eyebrows raised and immediately stopped Mari from eating the chocolate.
"Wait. That could be poisoned!" The mint-green eyed boy warned, causing confusion for the brunette who took a bite of the chocolate bar. She didn't seem to have any sort of reaction that could signal anything bad.
"Doesn't seem to be... And it's milk chocolate!" Mari beamed as she takes a piece and feeds Yuichiro the chocolate, making him startled from the bow-head's action.
"Hey-!! ... This actually tastes nice..." The long haired boy mumbled, reluctantly chewing on the chocolate piece and letting Mari feed him. He blushes at the gesture. He wouldn't say it outloud, but he oddly loves it when Mari would feed him.
"Yeah! Maybe you should try going out with this... hmm... 'Miyuki' girl..." Mari joked while chewing on the chocolate. Yuichiro furrows his eyebrows, annoyed at Mari's comment. He then snatched the chocolate from Mari's hands and threw it to the trash can, along with the love letters.
"Wh- Hey!! I wasn't even done with the chocolate!" The brunette whined, but soon yelped as the shogi player holds her hand and started walking to their classroom. He still seemed annoyed from Mari's comment.
"I'm not going out with someone I barely know. Plus, I already have someone." The last sentence confused the green-eyed girl, raising her eyebrow.
'Yui is dating someone? And he never told me nor Mui? Wonder who that lucky person is...' Mari thought while the two arrived in their classroom and sat in their respective chairs. Mari was still curious about who Yuichiro was dating, glancing at him every once in a while.
Tumblr media
Classes were now in session as their teacher, Kyojuro was giving a lesson about history. Mari was unable to focus as she busied herself with wonders about who could be dating Yuichiro.
"Yui has never tolerated anyone aside from me and Yui..." Mari muttered, thinking hard and trying to reach a conclusion. She was so focused in her thoughts that she didn't notice the teacher calling for her.
"Kaizumi!" Mari snaps out of her thoughts and quickly focuses her gaze to the her teacher, who was smiling.
"Please read page 122!" Kyojuro instructed the young brunette. Mari nodded and held the book with both of her hands, standing up and starting to read the page outloud.
After doing so, she sits back on her seat. Mari was still wondering about who was with Yuichiro and she averts her gaze at the long-haired boy.
'Hmm... Yui... Who could you be dating?' Mari asked in her head, her eyes filled with curiosity. Yuichiro would soon notice Mari looking at him, which alerted Mari and quickly looked away, finding herself embarrassed that she was caught. She sighs softly.
Tumblr media
Mari roamed around the hallways of their school, with Yuichiro accompanying her and holding her hand. The brunette was humming while she was making her way to the teacher's faculty to get her lunch from her sister.
"I wonder why your sister just can't pack your lunch before going to school. Wouldn't that be quicker and less work?" Yuichiro asked as he continued walking with the bow-headed girl. Mari looks up at Yuichiro, smiling before replying to his question.
"Nee-chan always preferred that I eat her food fresh from cooking! And it's a good opportunity to say hello to her too!" Mari explained, grinning as they finally made it to the teacher's faculty, and letting go of Yuichiro's hand before gently knocking on the sliding door. Yuichiro stood behind the petite girl as they wait for her sister. The door would soon open, revealing Riko with Mari's lunchbox. She smiles brightly at her younger sister.
"Hello, Mari! Was classes good for you? And speaking of which where's Muichiro at?" The blonde girl asked as she gives the brunette girl a quick kiss on the forehead before handing out her lunch. Mari hummed in response.
"Yeah! Classes were good and Mui decided to eat lunch with Tanjiro and the others. We're gonna join them soon!" Mari responded, swinging her head back and forth a little as she holds the lunchbox.
"Okay, then. Take care, Mari!" Riko pats Mari's head gently before sliding the door closed. Mari would turn to Yuichiro who was averting his gaze away. Confused, Mari taps his shoulder, making him jump a bit.
"Something up, Yui??" Mari asked the long-haired boy, tilting her head. He shook his head, grasping Mari's hand and started walking her to the roof top.
"Nope. Nothings up." He answered, mumbling. This whole time, he was shuddering over Riko's glare towards him... And Mari was oblivious to Riko's hatred towards Yuichiro.
As the two continued their way, they noticed a boy walking up to them, seemingly nervous. Mari tilted her head while Yuichiro arches an eyebrow.
"Is there anything of concern?" The brunette asked as she noticed the boy hiding something behind him. The boy took a deep breath and offered Mari a love letter, bowing his head and extending his arms.
"Kaizumi-san...! I-I was wondering if I could go out with you! You're really pretty like your sister and I'd...be super honored to be your boyfriend!" The boy confesses his feelings to the green eyed girl. Both Yuichiro and Mari were surprised by the boy's words. Mari sweatdrops. Despite being slightly flattered by his words, she doesn't return the same feelings as the boy in question. She takes her time to come up with a response.
"Well... I...uh appreciate your words, but--" Mari was cut off when Yuichiro wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her tightly. Mari gasped, obviously shocked by his actions and...even flustered by it as her cheeks turned red. She quickly composes herself and looked up to Yuichiro, about to ask him why he did that but she notices him death glaring. Specifically at the boy who just confessed his feelings to her.
"She's taken. Taken by me, and I don't want to share. So scram." Yuichiro retorted, narrowing his eyes to the boy. He then lets go of Mari, walked up to him and grabbed him the collar of his uniform, still giving the boy a death stare.
“Is that clear?” Those words were enough to scare the boy in question. As soon as Yuichiro dropped him, he immediately backed away from the two. Mari was stunned by Yuichiro's statement, blinking multiple times at the shogi player. She finds herself blushing for some reason.
"Wait- waaaiitt- W-What did you just say, Yui???" Mari stammered out, her mouth agape. Yuichiro turns to look at Mari in confusion.
"I just told that guy that you're my girlfriend? What's the issue??" He asked. He doesn't seem to understand Mari's confusion.
"G-Girlfriend?!" The brunette was stunned by his response, placing her lunchbox at the side before putting both her hands on his shoulders.
"Yui! We aren't dating!" Mari exclaimed, with her face being red from his words. Yuichiro seemed more dumbfounded than before, arching an eyebrow and feeling embarrassed.
"W-We aren't dating?!"
"What exactly made you think that we are?!" The green-eyed girl asked, blinking numerous times again. She honestly couldn't believe that Yuichiro thought they were both dating.
"You... You...We're always holding hands... Y-You're usually always sticking by my side and we...cuddled???" He answered, stammering and blushing as he averts his eyes away from Mari. He would soon cover his own face in embarrassment, backing away from the bow-headed girl. Mari sighed, trying to compose herself before speaking.
"You were the one who suggested we... hold hands just in case I get d-distracted by some...thing. A-And we always cuddled! We've done it since we were children!" Mari explained, though she was unable to find a good explanation for the second remark.
The two looked away from eachother. no words were uttered after that as they both felt complete embarrassment. Eventually, Mari broke the silence.
"Well... Since it's like that... D-Does that mean we're dating now?" Mari asked, muttering and cupping her cheek. It felt warm. Yuichiro looks at her, his face was red and he sighed before nodding.
"Y-Yeah... I suppose." The mint-green eyed boy would soon take the brunette's hand and Mari takes her lunchbox with her other hand and the two continued walking. The green-eyed girl leans her head against his shoulder, making him tense up and blush more.
"I guess I finally now have an excuse to do this..." Mari mumbled, closing her eyes and humming in content.

TANMILO TIME!!!
TANJIRO TEACHING MILO HOW TO BAKEEEEEEE
(This is mainly based on kimetsu gauken ehheehehehe)
Tumblr media
QQIDJDNFBSENF OMGGG YESYESYESSSSS TYSM CLOUDYY!!<3333
Tanjiro started pulling out ingredients for a loaf of pumpkin bread.
Milo watched him intently as he walked around making preparations.
He pulled out bowls, spoons, wisks, sivvs, and anything and everything they would need.
“So, Angel, we are making pumpkin bread, can you get the recipe and tell me what we need to do first please?”
Milo obeyed and picked up the recipe sheet.
They followed the directions
Tanjiro let Milo do the mixing (with his guidance ofc)
When they made the dough Tanjiro got behind Milo and put his hands on top her smaller ones, Milo’s cheeks flushed slightly
He showed her how to knead the dough and when he moved to let her try it herself she immediately pouted and Tanjiro chuckled
“Did you not want me to let you go Angel?”
“No..”
Tanjiro wrapped his arms around Milo’s waist and she sighed contentedly
“That better?”
Milo hummed happily
“Much better.”
They put the loaf into a loaf pan and put it into the oven to rise
Milo was quite disappointed when she realized that the bread wasn’t actually finished and it actually needed to cook
After the pumpkin bread finished cooking Tanjiro cut a slice for each of them
He spread a layer of butter on the slices and handed one to Milo
They each took a bite of the soft loaf and they sighed happily
“How did you like baking for the first time?”
“I loved it! It helps that I had the best baker in Japan helping me.”
Tanjiro blushed at her compliment
“I mean, I don’t know about the best.. I’m glad you had a good time though, Angel.”
Tanjiro kissed Milo on the cheek
A/n: Ikik I should’ve done strawberry bread since it’s Milo but I went with pumpkin bread since it’s autumn where I live and that means pumpkin time:3

A party on Halloween. That sounded like a fantastic idea!
From what Gyomei told you after work, Kyojuro was hosting a large party at his family's house and had invited all of his partners and their extended families so it'd double as some kind of giant family dinner. Of course being Gyomei's girlfriend, Kyojuro was MORE than happy to invite you along as Mei's plus one. Your boyfriend did suggest that you invite your family as well but thankfully and unfortunately you didn't have much family and weren't close to most of the ones you did have.
Your father passed, your mother only saw you once or twice a year since you were abandoned on your great Aunt's doorstep, and your aunt-
"I'm afraid my Aunt Dakita can't come." You casually mentioned while pouring your boyfriend a cup of tea.
White eyes followed the distant sounds of the kitchen as you shuffled around. "Oh? You did ask didn't you?"
"I did," you answered truthfully before you sighed in relief. "She's running a 'future reading' booth for a client's party and then she's going out of town the next day for a wedding. Apparently she helped the groom meet his husband?"
"Oh. By reading tea leaves?"
"Nope. The groom works at the nearby cafe and his husband was looking for someone who cooked good."
"Ah. I'm surprised that she didn't try to match him up with you considering how well you cook. That meatloaf was delicious." You smiled at him before a deep chuckle settled in. "Or maybe I should consider myself lucky that no one snatched you up before I did.~"
"Are you flirting with me?"
"Depends. Do you like it?"
The sounds of footsteps came back into the living room and a second later a soft warmth of a kiss was pressed to his cheek and a warm cup of tea was gently placed in his hands. By the smell of it, it was camomile tea with honey and milk. The smile on his face only increased feeling the sofa dip next to him as a warm weight settled to his right.
"Yes.~ Who knew the gentle giant knew how to sweet talk?"
He chuckled as the glass was raised to his lips contently. "When you spend enough time around Tengen and Mitsuri you tend to pick up a few things over the years."
"Speaking of them, have you been noticing anything strange lately?"
He hummed halting his enjoyment of his drink to face you with a half worried half confused look. "Strange? Strange how?"
"Oh..I don't know. They seem to be acting a little bit more.." You scrunched up your face thinking of the right words to use. "They seem..uh..A little bit more different from when I first met them I guess? Does that make sense?"
Your boyfriend blinked before humming and turning away. His face scrunching into a genuinely thoughtful look as he sipped at his drink once more. "..Now that you mention it, there has been a few strange occurrences that I've noticed." One in particular with Sanemi crossed his mind. The day Jake showed up a second time.
"Im sorry for taking so long. The owner was very understanding of the situation. Apparently he was not the first person who caused a fight at the bar."
You continued to finish up wiping at your eyes face still red from crying and anger. Blinking before turning to toss the napkin in a nearby trashcan. This day was a disaster. It started out great but ended up being just a mess. You scowled at nothing but blinked when two large hands suddenly cupped your cheeks and tilted you up to the concerned look of Gyomei.
"Are you alright?"
You blinked before nodding. "Y-Yes. I'm ok. *sniff*" Although you did sigh and lean into the comforting touch of his hands.
"I'm sorry. I should've been there. This is the second time I wasn't there when he was around."
"I-It wasn't your fault."
"No. I should've been there. I have no excuses."
"Listen to her, Mei." A hand plopping onto his side had Gyomei turning towards Sanemi. "You were talking to your MOM. Sides you think a bastard like that cares about anyone else but himself? It's no one's dam fault but his and if he has at least one working braincell-" SMACK! He quickly smacked a fist into his palm. A strained smile on his face. "-he'll stay away. If not I have no problem knocking some more sense into 'em."
"I-I appreciate that."
"Tch. No one touches my girls and gets away with it."
... Gyomei turned his head with a brow raised to him. "'My girls'?"
"OUR girls!," Sanemi quickly corrected looking at him. "Kanae shouldn't have gone through that neither did your girlfriend! I'm not wrong!"
Gyomei raised a brow higher with a hum as Sanemi sweated under him.
Hmm... Perhaps he had meant it just as a platonic way. After all Mitsuri had 'girlfriends' who were just friends but still referred to them as her girlfriends. Perhaps Sanemi was also referring to his girlfriend as a friend who just also happened to be a girl? Most likely. But could it be possible that maybe just maybe that Sanemi-...?
"...Well, I can't deny that I have noticed one or two instances-," he admitted finally,"-but i don't think it's anything to worry over."
"Are you sure? Shinobu and Giyuu especially seemed to be a bit more...cheerful?"
Yes. He noticed that too. Both Giyuu and Shinobu were usually very stoic, somber, and reserved people even if Shinobu often smiled hiding her more.. upsetting emotions. But lately he's very much noticed a shift in their tones. Much more happy and uplifting, which was surprising. Not a bad thing but surprising for sure. Especially since Giyuu was so much more talkative. He wasn't the only one who noticed too. Rengoku had commented to him on Giyuu's new confidence to speak.
"Tomioka spoke a lot today about how best to treat a sprained wrist! I didn't know he could speak so much!"
Then again he noticed little changes in Kanae too. Not the sudden personality shift like her sister but he did notice that when he mentioned his girlfriend to them she'd always pipe up first asking how she was doing and if he would be BRINGING her anytime soon. Which was a nice gesture but he expected that kind of quirk to come out of Mitsuri or Suma. To be fair Mitsuri had asked him a dozen times the same question, but he already expected her to do that. Were the sudden changes bad?...No. But he was wondering why it was happening. He'd just keep an ear listening for now.
"I wouldn't worry about it like I said. But if it's making you uncomfortable-"
You held up your hands. "Oh no. I'm fine. It's just that I've noticed that they seemed more cheerful is all. I guess it's just because the party is almost here and this is going to be the last major project of this year."
"That could be it. Halloween is Shinobu's favorite holiday. I'm sure everything will be fine," he assured you with a smile. "In the meantime would you like to hear about my major? You mentioned wanting to know more about it."
You were thankful for the subject change. Gyomei's right. It was probably you overthinking it and the fact the party was coming up. "I'd love to!"
You had quickly brushed off your concerns after that. After all, if Gyomei wasn't concerned about it then why should you be? All progressed as normally as the days went on. You'd go to work, and see Sanemi twice a day dropping off his little brother and he seemed to be in a better mood than the time he threatened to rip the Karen into pieces. Sometimes Kanae would be accompanying him and you two would chat for a few minutes before they left. You still were doing the project with Shinobu and Giyuu. Sometimes it was all three of you, or just one of them, or you'd be by yourself and just send the video to Shinobu via email.
But you did receive your Tupperware back from Giyuu who looked sheepish when you thanked him and promised to make more delicious food for the couple. You also gave Mitsuri the food you promised to make for her. She was over the moon..and then proceeded to nearly end you in a bone crushing hug. Luckily you were saved by Mei and were able to continue breathing. However you still couldn't shake the feeling that there was something else you were missing with these interactions.
Like it was right there but you couldn't figure it out. Oh well. You were sure it'd come out sooner or later.
What mattered right now was just figuring out what to do for the party as Halloween was fastly approaching. It was hard not to notice with all the decorations hung on the streets and in stores, and the numerous costumes being bought out. But you weren't aware of the disaster that would soon befall you when it came to costumes. It was one of two days before the party actually and you were baking some sugar cookies in the shapes of pumpkins to take to the party, as a small thank you to Kyojuro for inviting you and it'd be rude to show up without bringing something in your opinion, when Gyomei Mitsuri asked you a question.
"Hey. Are you going to be dressing up for the party?"
You turned oven mitts on and hot tray in your hands. Mitsuri was there with her hair tied up and a pink apron thrown over herself. A little bit aways from her was Obanai making himself comfortable in a chair. At the moment he was drinking from a straw pushed under the medical mask he always wore and sipping on the tea you offered him.
You hadn't invited him over but Mitsuri dragged him along in order for you and him to get better aquatinted as you both were Gyomei's partners. Her words not yours. Obanai was quiet but he was very polite. He seemed to be awkward just standing there, so you decided to offer him something to drink and sit down while Mitsuri helped you bake enough cookies. She'd offered to help you after you spoke with her about having a lot of stuff already on your plate so you gladly took her up on that offer. However you did notice that Obanai wasn't really drinking the tea-
"Do you not like it, Iguro?" He hummed looking at you in question. You nodded towards his teacup. "The tea. Do you not like camomile? I can make you something different if you want."
"Nah. M' fine."
You didn't say anything about it but he still continued to just sit there holding the cup as he watched Mitsuri. After a moment longer of him silently sitting there, you had paused in your baking to go rummaging through the kitchen drawers and a second later returned with a reusable plastic straw. Obanai was surprised when you just silently plopped it down into his cup before you went on back to business like nothing happened. He stood there staring at it before looking at his lovestruck girlfriend. But accepted the gift poking the straw under his mask to drink.
But back to present you blinked at her before carefully placing the hot tray of cookies to the side. "Yeah actually. I have an old bridesmaid dress from my cousin's wedding. I can just wear that and throw on a masquerade mask." Maybe not the most creative costume ever but it was affordable.
"Can I see?"
"Sure! Let's put the last batch in the oven and I'll show you!"
Mitsuri was happy to follow you. Practically bouncing off the walls as you lead her to a random closet and started to rummage through the small space. Pushing a few boxes around until you found the medium sized black box you were looking for. Pulling it out and blowing some dust off. You opened the lid-
And a squeal left both of you as moths fluttered out.
The fluttered about some going down the halls while others perched onto the ceiling. You both just blinked at the insects before Mitsuri bent down and slowly returned back, holding up the remains of what was once a nice white dress now tattered and ridden with holes. You both just stared at it before you frowned.
"My dress!" Hands gently grabbed at the barely clinging on fabric. "It's ruined. Now what am I supposed to do?...I guess I can just wear the mask."
Mitsuri still looked at the tatters before she smiled. "Y'know ..I think I have some old costumes from a few theater performances I danced in? I got one that'll fit you perfectly I think! You can totally borrow it!"
"Really?!"
She nodded. "Yep! I'll even come by before the party and help you get dressed!"
"Mitsuri, you're a life saver! How can I ever repay you?"
"Lemme take some of those cookies home and we'll call it even!"
You couldn't help but giggle at the happy look in her eyes. "Sure. Just don't take all of them."
Whelp!
Mitsuri kept her word for helping you dress up. However you couldn't help but feel a bit surprised by her sudden arrival. It was a couple hours before the party and you were busy packing up the many, many cookies when there was a knock on the door. Huh. Couldn't have been Gyomei. He wasn't supposed to show up for another hour or two. However you did take time out to go check the door. Opening it up to reveal a very dapperly dressed bubbly girl on the other side.
Oh wow.
Mitsuri looked stunning!
A very pretty bubble gum pink and white Lolita style dress was adorning her body with matching heels, and black stripes draped over her shoulders and middle securing two glittery white fake dove wings to her back while her face was all dolled up in a way that just highlighted her already cute features. A black duffle bag hanging from her hand.
"TADA!! Whaddya think?!", she proclaimed holding out her arms proudly. "I'm a Cupid!"
You smiled brightly. "Mitsuri, you're beautiful!" Your compliment earnt a delightful squeal from her. "What are you doing here? Mei's already taking me to the party."
"Oh I know that, Silly. However I'm here for a different reason!" Her smirk widened as she held up the duffle bag. "Once I'm done with you, the others are going to be forced to fall over themselves!"
You rose a brow confused by what she said, but didn't get a chance to speak before you were suddenly grabbed and hauled off to the nearest changing room.
***************
Spooky sound effects were going off about the large room. A wolf's howl sounding off as the eerie fog rolled across the floor from the fog machine. Tiny footsteps were toddling along with each drag of the cloth gliding across the floors behind him. Edging closer and closer and closer to the target as they slowed down. Eyeing the man in sights from behind the chair leg. Before the unsuspecting man knew it, something dashed in front of her-
"BOO!"
Tengen blinked as Koto jumped out from behind the snack table. The cheap ghost costume made from an old kitchen sheet with two eye holes in it swayed as he held up his arms.  After a moment the toddler waved his hands again.
"Boo?"
The silver haired man blinked before smiling. "*GASP!* OH NO!" He 'gasped' dramatically clutching a hand to his chest. "It's a ghost! Whatever shall I do?!"
"It otay, Ten-Ten!" The sheet was lifted revealing the excited face of the tot. "It me!"
"Koto? Oh my gosh. I didn't recognize you!"
"I scare you?!"
"Yes! Very much! You look just like a real ghost!" Tengen smiled wider hearing the toddler giggle before redawning his costume and running off to 'scare' his next victim.
"Aw! That was so cute!" He turned from the snack table to the cooing voice and found himself staring at Suma cooing at him and clutching a couple snacks already. The fake blood around her mouth a bit smeared from her snacking. "You're so good with kids, Hun!"
That made him chuckle. "Well to be fair, the little tyke did surprise me. The fog machine Kyo set up makes him blend in." He was finally able to get some 'witch's brew' punch and took a look around the room. "He really went all out."
The giant living room AND kitchen were both filled up with his partners and their families...Well most of their families. Sanemi's siblings were only staying for a little bit before their mom and Genya took the youngest ones trick or treating. Oh they all had generic costumes that their mom got for cheap. Two just had a few fake vampire teeth shoved into their mouths and Called it a day, a pair of witches, and lil Koto running around in that ghost sheet. He couldn't help but chuckle watching Mitsuri's brother jumping as suddenly the toddler popped out from under the table.
The place looked great!
Low lights. Fake fog. A dozen rubber bars dangling from the ceiling. And a few jack-o'-lanterns carved and placed around the rooms glowing brightly. Not to mention the great food all laid out for their enjoyment. Nothing alcoholic of course considering the influx of kids. He was fine with that, but he did wish the drinks included something else besides regular fruit punch. At least stock up on a few sodas.
"When's Mitsuri gonna get here? She's like running super late which is totally unlike her."
"Eh. She said somethin' about picking up Mei? I think."
No sooner had he said that then there was a loud knock on the door. Loud enough to be heard over the spooky music and sound effects being blasted out of Kyojuro's speakers and attract the attention of said flamed haired host whom perked up immediately. Kyojuro excused himself from talking to Kanae and Shinobu's parents to quickly shuffle over and answered the door. Opening it up widely and smiling as Mitsuri and Gyomei stood there. Her lace and ribbon outfit popping out against the dulled colors of Gyomei's own outfit. Wrapped up in random bandages and shifting around a long strand of red prayer beads.
"WE'RE HERE!", her loud voice announced their prescense causing a few heads to turn to them. "DO YOU LIKE OUR COSTUMES?!"
"YES! You both look stunning!," Kyojuro's also naturally loud voice echoed throughout the room as he happily smiled. "I'm glad you both could make it! But I don't see Y/n with either of you."
Mitsuri waved him off. "Oh she's right behind us. She baked some cookies for the party and just getting them real quick."
"How thoughtful! Please come in! Your family's already here!" They didn't have to be told twice. He gladly stepped aside to allow them inside before looking back out. Bushy eyebrows rose in surprise seeing who was walking their way slowly up the steps. "Well my goodness. Your costume is absolutely stunning, Y/n!"
"Thanks! I really like yours too!"
"Much thanks! Are those cookies I smell?"
"Yes! You want one?"
"Why thank you!" No one could see past Kyojuro's frame in the doorway but his arm moved and a moment later he shouted. "UMAI!" A few giggles from a girl escaped. "It's quite delicious!"
"They're sugar cookies. May I come in?"
"By all means!"
His frame moved back revealing a pumpkin shaped cookie in his hand and then a second later a parade of glimmer stepped through the doorway- CHOKE!! A loud choke sound escaped Sanemi's throat as he saw the woman walking in through the doorway, nearly choking on the half eaten taffy he swiped from the candy bowl. A similar reaction rippling through the others in the room as she stepped into the room.
A beautiful white sparkly ruffled dress was thrown over her body as a beautiful crown of glass diamonds and dripping beads sat regally on top of her styled hair. A matching white fake gemmed choker slapped onto her neck as she smiled pretty.
"Thanks, Kyojuro."
Said man nodded still chewing on the cookie in his hand. His costume was easy to guess. With the fake horns and ears he was obviously a dragon. Somehow seemed very fitting for the fiery haired man. Stepping inside you were immediately able to spot so many familiar faces. The first three being the sisters. All three of them dawned gothic like outfits minus a pair of pink or purple pretty plastic butterfly wings strapped to them the same way Mitsuri had her angel wings strapped to her. So they were fairies? Butterflies maybe? You greeted the staring trio with a smile before heading on over to the table full of food. Your other friends were crowding around there including Giyuu and Sanemi whom were both staring wide eyed and silently at you.
"Hi, Giyuu! Hi, Sanemi!", you happily greeted the men as they stared before turning to the others. "Hello, Tengen. It's nice to see you again!"
Said white haired man winked and sent a finger gun your way. "That's a flashy outfit you got there.~"
"Thank you! Mitsuri's letting me borrow one of her theater costumes." Taking a moment you looked in up and down. He was just wearing a pair of black pants and a t shirt that was opened up at chest a little bit with either fake blood or the red punch e was drinking spilt all over his mouth. "What are you supposed to be?"
He smiled wider and happily showed off fake fangs. "Why I'm the most flashy vampire this side of Japan." With a growl he quickly turned around to three similarly dressed ladies in white dresses and more fake blood. "Along with his three beautiful flamboyant brides he's going to make love too later.~" Suma giggled at his bad vampire accent as the other two rolled their eyes at his flirting.
"You guys look great!" You turned back to the other two staring men still smiling. "Nice Jiangshi costume, Giyuu! It matches your complexion. ...Um." Your brow rose at Sanemi placing the tray back down onto the table with the other food. Sanemi didn't look any different from his usual attire. Black pants, white button up shirt, black vest- The only difference was that he was wearing black gloves. "What are you supposed to be?"
Both still stared wide eyed making Tengen roll his eyes. "Romeo over here got lazy and just put on some gloves. Says he's supposed to be a 'body guard'." He made air quotations with the hand that wasn't holding a drink.
That seemed to snap Sanemi out of it because he whipped around angry at Tengen. "Oh like your costumes any better! All ya got is some new dentures and smeared lipstick smothered all over your face! You look like you let my brother do your makeup!"
Tengen gasped. "How dare you? I happen to use my art skills and talent in this!"
"Yeah. The artistic levels of a preschooler maybe!"
Your hand held up to try to stop the arguing, but you were surprised when Giyuu calmly reached over to lower it. "Don't. They'll be making out with each other in the end anyways. They always do. Why don't you come speak to Shinobu with me? I bet they'll like your costume."
You did. Finding the sisters speaking to Mitsuri. The four of you complimenting each other on the pretty costumes they wore before Kanae insisted on you meeting their parents. ...Oookay? It was strange but the older couple was nice and they thanked you briefly for helping Kanao get the dress she wanted. You casually shuffled around to go back to Gyomei whom was talking to a man you didn't recognize at the moment. Mitsuri was OVERJOYED to use the opportunity to introduce the stranger to you as her father. ..And then dragged you all the way across the room to meet her mom. ..And then back across the room to meet her little brother who was stuffing his face with your cookies. Guess both siblings had appetites.
She went on and on about how her parents owned a small business in town and how her brother was a senior in highschool but he wanted to study botany and on and on. It must've been at least an hour since you stepped in here and already were shoved into meeting with so many strangers. They all seemed like nice people though who welcomed you like you were just another one of them..
Oh goodness. You hoped they didn't mistake you for a new partner of theirs.
F/c eyes blinked as suddenly a plastic cup filled with red fruit punch was held in front of your face suddenly. Blinking at the liquid you followed the hand holding said cup all the way up to Kyojuro whom was brightly smiling at you like a ball of sunshine.
"Here! I'd be a bad host if I did not make sure all my guests were having a good time, and by the looks of it you could use something to drink," he politely offered.
With a smile you took the drink offered to you. "Thank you. Yeah. Mitsuri's dragged me around since I got here."
He let out a few laughs from the statement as you took a drink. Hey. This was pretty good punch. "I would expect nothing else from her! She's very passionate and that's a quality I love about her!"
You nodded politely out of agreement. "Mm. This is really good punch."
"THANK YOU! It's actually homemade!"
"Really? I'd love the recipe."
"You can ask my mother." He turned and pointed a hand to point out the kitchen just as Obanai dressed up as a doctor strolled out holding up a plate of half eaten cake. Ah. So that's where he's been hiding out. "She's the one who made it for the party."
"Oh. Thank you."
He politely accompanied you over towards the kitchen area. You've been there before on your first meeting with Mei's other partners but it looked different. Like the large living room, it too had been decorated with a single jack-o'-lantern on the table and a few black paper bats tapped to the walls. Not as decorated as the main party room but you appreciated the effort Kyojuro took to decorate his home.
Only four other people were in the kitchen area when Kyojuro escorted you in. Shinobu was one of them, digging around in the fridge before retrieving a soda can she wanted and left but smiled at you both. The other three were sitting and standing around the table and-...Well.
You could DEFINITELY tell Kyojuro was related to them.
How could you tell? Simple. They all looked EXACTLY alike! In fact you had to blink at first just to be sure you weren't seeing things, but no. Before your eyes was not one but TWO men that looked like carbon copies of Kyojuro with the only differences being ages. At the table sat a middle aged couple. A man whom looked like an older, annoyed version of Kyojuro and a woman with red eyes and black hair. Standing next to the woman and eating cake was a teenage boy who looked maybe around fifteen (and also looked like a younger version of Kyojuro) and similarly dressed up as a dragon.
They all sat there but looked up as Kyojuro came in. He still brightly smiled as he greeted them. "Mother! Father! I don't think you've been introduced yet!" With a hand on your shoulder he happily gestured to you. "This is Y/n! She's Gyomei's new girlfriend and came for the party!" He then turned to you. "Y/n, these are my parents and my brother Senjuro!"
You chuckled. "I see the resemblance."
The older man grunted not bothering to change his expression or remove his head from his hand. Leading the woman to give him a sad glance before smiling at you. "It's nice to meet you. Are you my son's new lover?"
Well THAT was blunt. Your mind blanked a little bit at the question mouth opened slightly but Kyojuro only laughed her off. "Oh no. Nothing like that. She's only interested in Gyomei."
You made a mental note to thank Kyo for the save later and sighed. "H-He's right. I was actually just interested in the recipe for the punch you made." Your cup was held up. "It's actually really good."
Her smile widened slightly wider. "Oh? Why thank you. It's a family recipe."
"Are you a cook then?"
"Actually I teach calligraphy at my youngest's school." She smiled at the man next to her. "And Shinjuro runs a dojo."
"You mean USED to run a dojo," the man grunted out still not bothering to look up from the table.
Immediately the air shifted to an awkward silence other than the background noises of distant talking and Halloween music. ..That is until Kyojuro coughed. "You still run it, Father."
"Not for long with the dwindling students."
"What do you teach?" The question escaped you before you could stop yourself.
The question got a surprised reaction from most everyone at the table, the man even bothering to look up at you slightly surprised but soon reverted back to that grumpy expression again. "Tch. Why do you want to know?"
You shrugged. "Curious is all."
A bushy black brow rose at you looking you up and down before he grunted and rolled his eyes. "Self defense. I don't even know why I'm here!"
"Because you need to get out of the house." Kyojuro's mother sternly but also softly said reaching out to give her husband's hand a squeeze. "Moping around isn't good for you. You need to socialize with people."
"What good would that do me? It's not as if anything will change."
"It might if you go talk and pass out the business cards we made together."
"Business cards?"
"Yes! Wait a second." Senjuro quickly paused his eating to look at the table and reached out to a decently sized stack of small cards you didn't notice before. He was quick to hold one out to you, which you slowly took. "Father teaches karate and kendo! One of his students even won the national kendo championships three years ago!"
"When I wasn't having bad luck." The older man's mumblings got worried looks and frowns from his family but you paid no mind to it.
The card was pretty standard. The presumed name of the dojo with 'Shinjuro Rengoku' written under it followed by a phone number and address. Presumably the phone number and address for the dojo. A flame design decorating the edges. Kinda reminded you of the cards your aunt would pass around promoting her matchmaker business.
"Senjuro. Why don't you go around and pass out the cards, Honey? Maybe it might stir up some business."
"Okay, Mom."
You looked back up just as Senjuro pushed past you heading back into the living room. Your eyes looked back up and back towards the huge snack of cards still there.
"Oi! Kyo, where's those dam treat bags?," Sanemi called out from the other room. "Ma's leaving and my sibs want their candy."
"Coming!" He turned back to you. "I'm sorry to leave you suddenly like this."
"Oh no. It's ok. I better get back to Mei before he thinks I ditched him." You politely bowed to the older couple. "It was nice meeting you two. Have a Happy Halloween."
There was a grunt from the man but the woman smiled. "Of course. If you ever feel like learning how to defend yourself please consider stopping by our studio."
"I will. Thank you."
Both of you left the older couple alone and left the room to tend to the other guests and to find your boyfriend before Gyomei came to find you himself worried. However you were bothered by something.
"Kyojuro." He turned to you with a hum. "Your dad seems pretty upset. Is he ok?"
The flamed haired man paused for a second before sighing and a rare frown graced his features. "I'm afraid lately things have been hard for him. You see my father runs quite a big business, but within the last few years that business has slowed down quite a lot. Fewer and fewer students have been joining." He forced himself to smile again. "But I'm sure things will turn back around in no time! Things always have a knack of sorting themselves out."
You hummed again taking another glance back towards the kitchen. "I see..I hope things get better for your family."
"Thank you, Y/n! That's very kind of you! Please excuse me. I must tend to Sanemi's family."
The hours ticked away as the sun went down and the sky got darker and darker. Later and later it got and slowly people started to leave if they weren't staying the night. One after the other with goodie bags or boxes up leftovers to take home.
"Safe driving! Thanks for stopping by!", Kyojuro called out waving from his doorway as Mitsuri bounced off to drive her parents and little brother back home. "HAPPY HALLOWEEN!"
Senjuro paused in his helping to clean up to gaze at his brother. "Was that everyone?"
With a nod the door was closed and he happily turned back to his brother. "Indeed! It was a fun night wasn't it?"
"Yeah! Do you think maybe Father will feel better now?"
A hum was given off. "We have to keep on the bright side of things. Why don't you take those dishes to the sink and clear the table? I'll get the broom."
Senjuro nodded before scattering off towards the kitchen. He was happy to help tidy up dropping off the dirty dishes into the sink before returning to the kitchen table to start picking up more dishes randomly left out.. Before he paused blinking at a specific spot upon the polished wood.
"Huh.. Didn't we have more cards sitting here?"
...He shrugged it off assuming he must've been mistaken or someone else already collected them up.

Can you write a fic between Genya and fem!reader where they go on a date in the Kimetsu Academy Universe? I LOVE YOUR WRITINGG
Genya would be way too shy to…
…ask you out on a date in person. So instead, he leaves a handwritten letter on your school desk.
(Kimetsu No Gauken Universe, pre-established relationship, fluff, Genya is aged up)
Tumblr media
— Genya has been saving up the coupons for the shooting stand for almost a year. Normally. He’d spend all of these coupons to annihilate the stand’s targets, and then get all of the winnable items and give them to Tanjiro and his other friends, or his siblings (except Sanemi, he keeps scolding him about prioritising shooting over school and math, so no teddy-bear for him!).
— But this year, Genya wanted to invite you, his first girlfriend, to accompany him to the festival. Like a date of sorts.
— Yes, you are his girlfriend, but that doesn’t mean that Genya still gets extremely nervous and embarrassed around you. He just gotten used to holding your hand without evaporating!!
— So, with Tanjiro’s help, Genya wrote a small, cute letter inviting you to join him on the festival. He even got his two little sisters to decorate the card with him. Only the highest grade of holographic kitten stickers were getting put on that card!
— On the day of the festival, you and Genya mostly stood by the shooting range. Genya is the shooting-ace of the school, and just like last year, he crushed every single target.
— But everything Genya won went straight to you. At the end of the evening, your hands and arms full with charms, trinkets, plushies and small toys. The stand owner had to give you two large bags to carry them all.
— Genya and you took a small break after almost wiping the whole stand, grabbing some fruit slices and sitting down on a cool patch of grass. Genya only ordered watermelon for himself, while you ate whatever you liked.
— He admired you quietly. Your hair looks so perfect, your face is so gorgeous, your style looks so cool and your hands… he just wants to hold them. Genya can’t believe that you really like him. Maybe you’re just playing him?
— After the sun set, Genya gave you his hoodie. You didn’t even need to say that you were cold, he just wants to make sure you don’t even have the chance to start freezing.
— After making a small round around the carnival, Genya wanted to return to the shooting stand one last time to use his last coupon.
— But instead of him shooting, Genya offered the coupon to you. He felt guilty for barely doing anything else in the carnival. You are just watching Genya shoot the whole time, surely you were bored.
— You held the wooden gun in your hand and clumsily tried aiming it. Genya noticed you struggling, so he stood behind you, assisting you with holding the gun.
— He actually didn’t really help. Genya was even more shaking than you were, with being so close to you and his breath literally tickling your neck. His heart was racing so fast and his whole face was heated up.
— You ended up winning a small watermelon charm as a pity price. You gifted it to Genya as a small thanks for the nice time you had.
— While walking you home, Genya and you were holding hands. He was incredibly nervous and his head was spinning. You were holding his hand! HIS hand! Breathe, breathe… This is fine!
— After walking you home, carrying the bags plushies and toys for you and making sure that you went inside safely, Genya attached the watermelon charm onto his phonecase. He’ll swear to cherish this until the end of time!
— After going home himself, his little siblings, especially his two little sisters, complained and whined about how Genya didn’t bother to bring any plushies home. How dare he? They used all of their best holographic stickers on that stupid card…
— Sanemi noticed how happy his little brother seemed after going out with you. He wanted to scold Genya for coming home this late, but he saved that for tomorrow. His little brother just seems so happy right now, Sanemi doesn’t want to ruin it.
💠
Thank you for requesting dear anon! I hopes you enjoyed it. Fun fact, I have a (life sized) cardboard cutout of Genya, a figurine of him AND a cosplay. Just recently I visited an event in cosplay and made sure to make lots of pictures with Sanemis and Genyas. One Genya even gave me one of his 3D-printed bullets, since we were the only Genya cosplayers. It was very fun! I also have two parts of the Kimetsu no Gauken, I still have to scavenge for the third one.
Make sure to EAT, SLEEP and DRINK enough!
Take care or yourselves <3

Y/n x Kimetsu no Gauken
——————————————————————————
Y/n: *in the teacher’s lounge at their desk, sprays fart spray*
Sanemi: and then this kid was like- *sniffs* what the f-ck? The hell is that?!
Tengen: what are you talking about? *smells the air* *gags* what the hell did you eat? That’s rank!
Kyojuro: *takes a whiff* That is quite the offensive smell! However I’m impressed with how bad it is!
Obanai: *smells it* Sanemi what the hell
Sanemi: it wasn’t me!
Tengen: the f-ck have you been eating to make such a smell?
Obanai: did you sh-t your pants?
Sanemi: NO! It wasn’t me!
Gyomei: *cries* we should open a window
Y/n: I’ll do it *opens window and sprays fart spray when they walk past Sanemi*
Obanai: Again! What is wrong with you
Sanemi: the f-ck! It ain’t me! My sh-t don’t smell like that
Kanae: *covering her nose* Sanemi, you might want to see a doctor
Tengen: *gaging* it smells like death’s ass in here
Y/n: *falls over laughing*
Sanemi: the hell are you laughing at?!
Y/n: *holds up fart spray for everyone to see* it was a prank
Sanemi: I’m gonna kill you!
——————————————————————————
Kyojuro: Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, and wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
Tengen: That's deep.
Y/n: That means that ketchup is a smoothie.
Tengen: That's deeper.
Sanemi: ….You guys are idiots.
——————————————————————————
Y/n: *Gasp*
Sanemi: wHAT??
Y/n: What if soy milk is just milk introducing itself in Spanish?
Sanemi: *inhales*
Tengen, in another room with Kyojuro: Why can I hear screeching?
——————————————————————————
Y/n: If you put a milkshake in one yard and crack open a cold one in another yard, which yard would the boys go to?
Tengen: Schrödinger's boys.
Kyojuro: FUCK!
Gyomei: What about cracking open a cold milkshake?
Sanemi: As we all know, the milkshake brings the boys to the yard. The presence of the boys is a prerequisite for the cracking open of a cold one, but cold ones do not have any inherent boy-attracting abilities. Milkshakes, however, do.
Sanemi: All else being equal, the boys would proceed to the milkshake yard. While it is possible to announce the presence of cold ones in the hope of attracting some boys, the pull of the milkshake is much more powerful by comparison.

Tengen: ...
Kyojuro: ...
Gyomei: ...
Sanemi: Mind you, all of this nonsense hinges on whether or not the boys are back in town.

Gyomei: Anyone d-
Y/n: Depressed?
Obanai: Drained?
Goto: Dumb?
Giyuu: Disliked?
Gyomei: -done with their work... what is wrong with you people...
——————————————————————————
Kyojuro: You know what I learned from my friendship with Sanemi?
Gyomei: There’s no such thing as too mean?
Tengen: Never let your friends know for sure if you like them?
Y/n: Always hold a grudge?
——————————————————————————
Y/n: *arguing with Sanemi*
Sanemi: you don’t even have the balls to do that
Y/n: yes I do and they’re bigger than yours! They’re on my chest!
——————————————————————————
Y/n: Tell me, what you are mad at?
Tengen: I paid twenty dollars for bottomless drinks.
Kyojuro, in the background: They got to the bottom.
Tengen: What is that? The bottom of the damn glass!
——————————————————————————
Y/n, holding a rock: Kyojuro just gave this to me and said "I feel like you deserve the moon but all I can give you is a rock".
Tengen: If you don't marry them, I will.
——————————————————————————
Tengen: Hi could I ask how exactly does one accidentally set a lemon on fire?
Y/n: Microwave for 40 minutes.
Sanemi: WHY WERE YOU MICROWAVING A LEMON?!
Y/n: I read boiling lemons helps cover up bad smells and I wanted to cover up the scent of burnt oranges, but I didn’t own any pots…
Kyojuro: Did you burn an orange too? HOW?!
Y/n: Microwave for 40 minutes.
——————————————————————————
Tengen: A pessimist sees a dark tunnel.
Y/n: An optimist sees light at the end of the tunnel.
Kyojuro: A realist sees a freight train.
Sanemi: The train driver sees three idiots standing on the tracks.
——————————————————————————
Y/n: Hey, how did my phone break?
Kyojuro: You were drunk yesterday.
Y/n: And?
Gyomei: You threw it.
Y/n: Why?
Tengen: You turned on airplane mode and kept screaming “FLY DAMN YOU!”
Y/n: And why didn’t you stop me?!
Sanemi: We were busy laughing our asses off.

I have such a bad bone to pick with the Kimetsu Gauken story, and yes it is about Genya and Sanemi and I can go into a more depth and full explanation of later but I don’t want to rn so I’m just gonna bring up my main issue.
Why the fuck would Sanemi rip up his certificate?
And I don’t mean this in “hey that’s my blorbo why” way I mean this in a “Sanemi would not fucking do that” way
Sanemi’s issue with Genya was never that he was shooting guns guys, it’s that he was a demon slayer. That was literally it, he never hated Genya, he never cared that Genya called him a murderer (and I mean it, read the light novel.)
He loved Genya more than anything in the world and if Genya had an interest in something he was talented in then he would be fucking ecstatic because it’s not demon slaying.
Now back to Kimetsu Gauken.
If Sanemi wanted Genya to be the absolute best in the school and wanted him to have every single opportunity he could then Sanemi should have been jumping up and down in joy that Genya was not only IN A CLUB but also GOOD AT IT — even their ACE if I remember correctly because these sorts of things get you fucking scholarships
You know the things that help you get into good/great colleges and can pay either half or all of the tuition?
So once again you can’t convince me that Sanemi wouldn’t have been happy and wouldn’t have encouraged him and I’m not gonna lie and say that I wouldn’t use that for angst fanfic purposes myself but I can still recognize that it was a poor choice and dare I say out of character.
