Love is one of the most wonderful things a human being can experience. And to find love at the young age of fourteen, while not exactly ideal, is just as much of a gift. That was the case for Y/n and Yonghee.
You hear about middle school romances in movies, books, the news even. But never did these two think they'd find their lover in grade nine. It was fate, honestly. Like the most cliche romance drama, Y/n was being picked on by the school's bad boy. And her hero, Yonghee, happened to be in the vicinity.
 "Go away Kento," Y/n begged, hugging her books close to her chest as she backed into her locker.
 "No seriously," Kento continued from his previous words. "I'm confused. Were you born that ugly? Or did your witch of a mother use her magic and put a curse on you?"
 "Leave her be Kento," Yonghee seethed, stepping into the situation.
 "Oh look, it's the Yongster. Come to help your little girlfriend again? What are you going to do about it, tell my mom? You're not a real threat," he scoffed, inching his way closer to Y/n. And nothing could've prepared Kento for what Yonghee was about to do. Yonghee pushed his shoulders, forcing him away from Y/n, before punching him straight in the face, effectively sending him to the floor. "Ah! Help! Yonghee hurt me!" He immediately sounded, like the spoiled brat he was brought up as. But nobody listened to him. They were all equally fed up with his evil antics. In fact, they sided with Yonghee.
 "Nobody is going to help you, Kento. Now leave us, and while you're at it, get a life," Yonghee growled, earning a round of applause from his nearby peers.
Yonghee took Y/n's hand and brought her out of there, and into the open air of the outdoor basketball court just outside the school's gym.
 "Thank you, Yonghee. You didn't have to stick up for me like that. I appreciate it," she smiled.
 "Yeah, no problem," Yonghee blushed, being the shy teenager he was. He cleared his throat, remembering how he had been on his way to tell her something. Something important. "Hey uh... I've been meaning to ask you something," he scratched the back of his head.
 "Okay, what is it?" Y/n tilted her head at the boy. The boy who she had her eyes on since fifth grade.
 "I was wondering if... you... maybe uh... wanted to go out? Like to the park? Together?" He smiled sheepishly. "It doesn't have to be a date if you don't want it to be... I just think you're cute and I uh-"
The flustered boy was cut off by Y/n pressing a quick kiss to his cheek, catching him off guard. "It's a date then."
 "Y-yeah, cool."
~~~~~
Y/n cheered as loud as she possibly could when Yonghee scored a three-pointer, winning the game for Cix Academy's high school basketball team, the angels. The rest of the arena cheered as well. The fans, family members, and friends ran onto the court to congratulate the boys on winning, not only a game, but the championship. But Y/n, not wanting to be trampled, waited for the commotion to die down before she congratulated her boyfriend. And once the people cleared out, she did just that.
 "Yonghee!" Y/n yelled, grabbing the boy's attention. She jumped into his open arms, wrapping her legs around his waist. "You did so well!" She squealed in delight.
 Yonghee hugged her tightly. "Thank you," he smiled before pulling away to see her face. "I couldn't have done it without you cheering me on from the stands," he smirked, looking down at her lips.
 "Stop it," she playfully rolled her eyes.
He laughed. "You love it," he said, then capturing her lips for a brief moment. He pulled away and set her down before walking towards the exit, arm around his girlfriend's shoulder.
~~~~~
Yonghee and Y/n, the newlyweds, sat across from each other as they enjoyed a nice home cooked meal made by Y/n, in their brand new house. Life was seemingly perfect. He had everything he needed and wanted. Or so he thought.
”So, how do you entertain yourself when I’m gone?” Yonghee wondered, taking another bite.
”Lots of things. Piano, reading, swimming, cleaning,” she listed, also taking another bite. She swallowed and took a silent deep breath before saying the next part. “Taking a pregnancy test.”
Yonghee nearly spit out all of his water, but he gulped it down. “You took a test?”
”Yeah,” Y/n smiled.
Yonghee had never felt his heart beat so fast. It was out of pure anticipation and excitement. “What did it say babe?”
”Look under your plate.”
His gasped before lifting the glass plate that held his food ever so carefully. Under it, was a Clear Blue pregnancy test. And on it, was written the word, pregnant. “Oh my gosh,” he gasped, holding a hand to his mouth, feeling the tears welling up. He was wrong when he said he had everything he wanted earlier. Because now, he did. He got up from his seat and went to his wife. When she stood, he immediately embraced her, choked up, not knowing what to say. She smiled and hugged back.
“Are you happy, love?” Y/n asked quietly, stroking the back of his head.
He looked into her eyes and sniffed, crying but laughing at the same time. “I’m more than happy, baby,” he smiled so wide, Y/n could’ve sworn she’d never seen him smile wider. “I love you so much,” he said, embracing her again, as he began to sway her back and forth.
”I love you too,” Y/n sighed, so grateful for his positive reaction. Despite the fact that Y/n and Yonghee had been trying for a baby after their first couple months married, fear still gripped her. All the possible scenarios would run through her head, and she’d begin to regret the whole thing. But Yonghee would never do something like that. He loved Y/n, and just as much, he loved children. She couldn’t be a luckier woman.
“I can’t wait until the baby is born. Just to see you brush our little girl’s hair, or dance with our little boy,” began Yonghee. “You’re an amazing cook, you have an amazing fashion sense, and you’re just an amazing person. You’ll be the perfect mother. I know you will.”
”Oh Yong,” Y/n whispered, tearing up at his words. “I know you’ll be just as good a father.”
Yonghee laughed again, wiping her tears away with his thumbs. “I don’t deserve you babe. I really don’t. But I love you, and I’ll love our child just as much,” he said, moving his hand to caress her stomach.
~~~~~
“Minjoon! Hana! Stop jumping on the furniture!” Y/n yelled as she tried not to burn the chicken she was frying. Her two children only laughed and stuck their tongues out, knowing she couldn’t get to them. “Don’t make me tell your dad!”
”Yes mommy,” they replied in unison, both jumping back onto the floor, knowing they didn’t want punishment from their dad.
It wasn’t easy, parenting a six and four-year-old, while your husband was working a late day. But it had become the normal as of late. But Yonghee promised he’d talk it over with his boss, and have more time at home. Money wasn’t even a problem for them, he shouldn’t have to work his ass off when he had two children and a wife at home.
”Minjoon, go clean your room. It’s a mess,” ordered Y/n.
”Okay,” the brown haired boy pouted, dragging his feet up the stairs.
“And Hana, make sure mommy and daddy’s bathroom is clean,” she told her black haired daughter. She was only four, so she could only inspect the bathroom, not clean it.
Hana went upstairs, checked the bathroom, and went to report. “It’s clean!”
”Thank you baby,” Y/n said, wiping the sweat from her forehead as she finished her meal, luckily without burning it. “Where’s Minjoon?”
”Cleaning his room.”
”Oh right,” Y/n mentally facepalmed. She sat down on the sofa and checked her phone realizing, she had gotten a text from Yonghee.
Love😇: Home in ten! Sorry for taking so long. Ily 😘
Ten minutes ago
She quickly made sure everything in the house was picked up, and also cleaned herself off a bit. And when she heard the keys jangling in the door’s lock, she ran to the door, her children back in the living room playing with their toys. She smiled, seeing her husband’s handsome face after a long and tiring day.
”Hi baby,” Yonghee sighed happily, wrapping his arms around her shoulders.
“Yonghee,” Y/n sighed, just happy to be in his hold.
”You sound tired,” he pouted, looking at the bags under her eyes. “Everything alright.”
She didn’t want to cry, but emotions overtook her. She was on her period also, adding to the day’s stress. “You’ve been gone so much lately, and it’s hard to take care of a huge house while making dinner and supervising two children,” she said, all choked up.
”Aww baby, I’m so sorry I couldn’t be here. I promise I’ll try to take time off, okay?” He smiled, caressing her cheek.
“Okay,” she sniffed, smiling again.
Yonghee looked to see his children. “Daddy!” They both screamed, running into his arms. He laughed as he was nearly trampled before hugging them both, knees on the floor.
“I missed you two,” he said, kissing both of their heads. “Let’s eat and go to bed early today, okay? Mommy is really tired.”
“Okay!” Said Minjoon, happily skipping to the dining table.
Yonghee assisted Y/n as they set the table for their family of four. Five if you count the dog that waits for food to fall under the table.
They all enjoyed the well cooked meal: fried chicken, a vegetable mix, and some mashed potatoes, the kids’ personal favorite.
After eating, Yonghee told Y/n to rest on the sofa as he filled the dishwasher and cleaned up the kitchen. He then went to his children. “Alright you two, time for bed.”
”But we’re not sleepy!” Hana whined.
”Do you want to go to the park tomorrow?” Yonghee asked.
”Yeah!” Minjoon exclaimed.
”Then let’s go,” he nodded his head towards the stairs. They pouted, but they complied.
Once he finished putting them to bed, he went to his nearly sleeping wife. “Baby,” he whispered, causing her to stir. “Do you want to take a bath together?”
She nodded in response, but refused to open her eyes. He shook his head and smiled before picking her up, bridal style, and carrying her upstairs. He ran the hot water and made sure it was the perfect temperature before he went to Y/n again. He carefully removed all of her clothes, and still awed at the sight of her beautiful body. “You’re so lovely baby,” he whispered, kissing her lips and nose before picking her up again, carrying her to the bath. Once he stripped his own clothes and got in next to her, he gently lathered lavender scented soap all over her body. Then he got the vanilla scented hair wash and massaged her scalp, earning a moan of satisfaction from Y/n. He took the mini shower head and rinsed her body and hair off. Once he finished, he pulled her to his chest, loving the feeling of her body against his.
“Yonghee,” Y/n sighed, clearly sleepy.
”Yes love?” He smiled, kissing the top of her head.
”I love you,” she replied, yawning.
”I love you more,” Yonghee sighed, closing his eyes as he rested his head atop hers.
Most people say middle school romances never last. But look at Y/n and Yonghee. Met in fifth grade, fell in love at ninth. And they made it work.
Because true love isn’t temporary. It’s forever.
[2:17am]
you had been anticipating your boyfriends arrival after he said he’d be home late from practice. the clock hit 2am and just barely did you hear the rattling of some keys outside your door. it seems yonghee had finally returned home. you hurriedly grab the small cake you bought for him as today was his birthday. the door opens and he sighs, not looking up at you just yet as he puts his stuff down. “y/n im home” he says just loud enough for you to hear, unaware that you are in front him. he looks at up and his eyes widen as he sees you with a cake in your hands. he smiles immediately. “happy birthday my lover” you say, as he is walking towards you to engulf you in his arms. yonghee whispers into your ear, “you’re always so good to me y/n, i love you” as he plants a kiss on your forehead. nothing is better than this, nothing is better than being with him.
Genre: Fluff, established relationship
Summary: Yonghee returns from tour very late at night, you tried to wait for him but ended up falling asleep.
Warning: None
Requested: Yes
Notes: Hope you like it, Anon. :) And I’m sorry it took so long.
Tumblr media
Yonghee had been away on tour for three months now. You missed him dearly but were super proud of him, it had been a huge world tour that included cities in Asia, United States, Europe and even Latin America.
The pink haired was supposed to arrive tonight, and you were going to go pick him up at the airport but due to the weather, their fight from Los Angeles was delayed a few hours.
He texted you and told you that it was better to stay at home and that he would see you there. He also specifically said not to wait for him up.
Fast forward a few hours, the idol finally arrived at his home. It was 3:30 am.
He tried not to make a lot of noise since he knew you would be sleeping, or hoping. He knew how stubborn you could be.
He took his shoes off by the door and carried both of his suitcases. He entered the living room and saw the tv on, he shook his head and walked towards the sofa that was located in front of the tv.
He saw your sleeping figure laying down on the coach, Avatar playing in the background.
As he kissed your cheek and was about to carry you, you opened your eyes sleepily.
“Love?”
“Yes, honey. Hi.” He said smiling tenderly.
“You’re home!”
He smiled softly. “I am, darling.”
You pulled him into your arms. “I missed you, so much.”
“I missed you, too.” You stayed like that for a while, enjoying each others presence. “Why aren’t you in bed? I told you not to wait up for me.”
“I knoow, baby. But I wanted to see you.” You pouted.
“Okay, valid.” He smiled. “Now let’s go to bed.”
You didn’t get a chance to get up because Yonghee carried you in his strong arms.
“You know I can walk by myself, right?”
“Shh, let me spoil you.” You just smiled, putting you head on the crook of his neck and snuggling more into him. Action that made him blush.
You arrived at your destination soon after, your boyfriend looked down to see you completely asleep, which made him smile.
He carefully put you under the covers and laid next to you, not even bothering changing into his pyjamas, he was too exhausted to do that. He put an arm around your waist and pulled you closer to him. Laying your head against his chest.
“I love you, my love.” He kissed you on the forehead and quickly fall asleep, with you on his arms.
It was good to be home.
The answer to “how did we start?”
pair: kim yonghee x fem reader
genre: fluff
it was based on a dream i had, and it was with yonghee :D enjoy!
Yonghee has never been confused about what he’s going to do. He always knows what to do. He solved math problems easily and understood science by heart. He got into a prestigious private college of his own choice and even chose his own major. He always knows what to do.
But not this time. Not in front of a girl he had been hanging around with for the past few hours. He had been watching her talking about the recap of their day, about little things that happened along their stroll, about how waitresses and employees kept asking them whether they were dating or married.
He’d been trying to talk, but his voice never came out, so he stuttered. The girl realized. “Hey, are you okay? Is there anything you want to talk about?” He shook his head, and he made a smirk. “I… uh….” She chuckled, “what?” He tried to say the words, but they just won’t come out. She made a few steps closer to him. Her head tilted up because of their height gap, which he always finds cute. “What are you smiling about, Yong?” she asked.
For a while, they stared at each other. Yonghee had never looked at someone with this much adoration. From the moment Yonghee saw her, he knew what he was doing; he knew what he wanted. But this stupid mouth stutter whenever he’s trying to say the thing.
“I… may I….” It finally came out. But it was too late. She tipped her toes and grabbed the back of his neck, so he bent down. She held his elbow with her other hand. She kissed him, and she smiled. “Is that what you’re trying to say?” He nodded. He nodded, and now it was his time. He was the one who put his hands around her head to caress her lips again.
They ended it with a hug. They could feel each other’s heartbeats that were beating so fast. And most importantly, they feel safe in each other’s arms.
super shy
pairing: kim yonghee (CIX) x gender neutral reader
genre: fluff
summary: where you aren't shy to show everyone how much you love yonghee and he'd get super shy about it.
word count: 228 words
warning: it's my very first time writing fluff so pls bear with me, other than that there's none.
author's note: like i said, it's my very first time writing fluff but lmk if you'd like more stuff like this. ^^
yonghee and you had been dating somewhere close to a year now and you couldn't feel more in love than you already were. and according to your extroverted personality, you didn't shy out of showing your love for your bambi, how you liked to call him behind his back. because you had made the mistake of calling him that to his face and you had to go get an ice pack for his cheeks, that even you thought were about to burst.
because you knew your boyfriend wasn't really keen on pda, you tried to not push his boundaries, but sometimes (most of the times) you couldn't refrain yourself from pinching his cheeks softly or kissing the same area when you thought he looked adorable, no matter where you were or who was with you.
"i'd tell you to get a room, but you guys look ridiculously adorable" had said seunghun once after you were playing and braiding with yonghee's pink hair while you were watching a movie with your friends. and although yonghee really wanted to tell you to stop but he really didn't want you to, he just felt shy that his friends were watching him be babied like that by you.
but you really couldn't help it, not when that adorable pink-haired was super cute and was all yours.
and yonghee, he'd get super shy.
Tumblr media
“Seriously, why did I let you convince me to do this?”
You giggled at the distress in Yonghee’s voice as waves soaked his pants up to his knees. His fingers gripped yours hard enough to bruise, but you didn’t mind. You held his hands with equal strength as you walked backwards through the surf, appreciating the warm sunlight on your face.
“You know you would much rather be here than in a meeting right now.” You replied to his rhetorical question. You savored the mild breeze that stirred the roots of your hair, coming in from the sea.
Yonghee grumbled something unintelligible at this, but you knew he agreed with you. His meeting at the company was important, but you’d managed to wrangle the other boys into covering for him so you could take your boyfriend to the beach. He worked so hard all the time, you knew the stress had to be getting to him—surely the company would survive with Yonghee gone for an afternoon.
“I should have just taken my pants off,” he lamented when rogue waves once again splashed up his legs.
“No one would complain about that.”
Yonghee rolled his eyes and you grinned. “Yeah, yeah. I swear you only want me for my body.”
You pretended to be offended and he laughed at the expression on your face. You rotated so you were facing the same direction as Yonghee, touching only at your hand still dwarfed in his. He smiled softly down at you, his eyes sparkling in the midday sun.
Your heart squeezed. Yonghee could joke all he wanted about you lusting after him, but nothing could describe the genuine affection you held for the boy. Since the beginning of your relationship last November, it was like your entire center of gravity had shifted.
He was unbearably sweet and considerate, probably the kindest human being you’d ever met. You still had trouble conceptualizing that he was yours, as you were his.
And in truth, though you joked about wanting Yonghee, nothing had happened between the two of you yet. You were content to take it slow if that was what he wished, though you had started wondering in recent weeks if his outlook on the matter was changing. His absentminded touches across your hair or back had turned lingering, and sometimes you caught him staring at you a little too long.
Your attention was drawn from your thoughts when Yonghee’s hand tightened on yours. You glanced up at him and your cheeks heated when you found him already looking at you. He smiled and pressed a chaste kiss to your forehead.
“What was that for?” You scrunched your nose.
“Sometimes I wonder where you go in that little head of yours.” Yonghee released your linked hands so he could throw his arm over your shoulders, pulling you closer into his side. “What were you thinking about?”
Your cheeks were painfully hot now. “Nothing, nothing. Just glad I’m here with you.”
Yonghee scoffed softly but didn’t call you on your half-lie. He just walked with you through the surf, stopping only to roll his pants all the way above his knees. You braced your hands on his shoulders as he repeated the action for you. His fingertips trailed over your bare calves, raising chills.
You thought you both looked a little ridiculous with your pants rolled up so high, but Yonghee looked so content to be in the waves without getting them wet that you didn’t mention it. This was why you had chosen to bring him here, after all. He had access to basically everywhere, but how often did he have time to just be outside? No schedule, no cameras, just him.
He gazed out at the ocean as you watched him. You had the insane urge to poke the sweet mole beneath his eye with your finger. Or maybe the tip of your tongue.
Jeez, cool it. You silently chastised yourself, accidentally making your cheeks warm again.
You watched the idea slowly forming on Yonghee’s face long before he actually did anything. His eyes narrowed, just barely, as he watched the surf bubbling around your feet. His bottom lip jutted out in a subtle pout, then the corners curled upwards in a secret smile.
You had just opened your mouth to say something when he sprung away from you without warning. The world slowed as Yonghee kicked the wave washing up onto the beach. The spray soaked your front and you screeched in surprise.
He stood there for a moment, just watching with wide eyes as laughter bubbled from your chest. You looked down at your soaked front. Your faded jeans were darkened to navy, your white shirt nearly see-through.
“Oh, you…” identical grins formed on both of your faces as you each dared the other to move first. “You are dead meat, pretty boy.”
Yonghee released a sound that could only be described as pure, unbridled joy as he turned and ran. You sprinted after him, still shin-deep in the surf. He laughed breathlessly, looking back at you over his shoulder every couple seconds.
God, he was fast. Stupid, ridiculous long legs.
He stooped and used both arms to splash water in your direction. You couldn’t be bothered to stop running to avoid it—you wouldn’t have been able to check your speed anyway. So you ran through the cascade of saltwater he sent flying at you, cackling as you ran around him.
Yonghee was up and following you in a second. And you realized immediately that this had been a mistake.
Because the very fast, stupidly long-legged boy was now chasing you.
You screeched, adrenaline bursting inside you as Yonghee easily caught up with you. His arms wound tightly around your waist, half-lifting you out of the water as you kicked the air.
Your flailing feet managed to meet the water again, showering you both in the spray. Yonghee released you at last and you turned to face him.
You were both drenched, crusted in drying salt and sand alike. His hair hung into his eyes, water dripping onto his cheeks as he grinned down at you.
He took a wet strand of your hair between his fingers and laughed. “You’re soaked.”
“Whose fault is that?” You playfully shoved his chest and tried not to think about the lean muscle you felt beneath your palms.
Yonghee caught your wrists in his hands and held them against him. You raised onto your tip-toes so he could press a soft kiss to your mouth. He tasted like cinnamon and the sea, and even if you would taste it for the rest of your life, you would never be able to get enough.
He allowed you to teasingly push him away this time. You bunched his wet shirt in your hands and looked up at him through your eyelashes.
“We can’t send you back to the company looking like this, you know.”
He peered down at himself, using the opportunity to shake his wet hair in your face. He raised his head and looked up and down the beach. Other than the two of you, it was deserted.
Yonghee stepped away and walked a little ways uphill, out of the reach of the waves. And then, your sweet boyfriend did the unthinkable.
He grasped the hem of his shirt and shucked it off with a muted slurp.
You stared in stunned silence, more than aware that your jaw was hanging open. His back was leanly-muscled and tan, scattered with occasional moles that matched the one beneath his eye. Beautiful didn’t dare do him justice.
Yonghee turned and the smile on his face faded a bit upon seeing your expression. “What happened?” He asked, his voice colored with concern.
You pieced your sanity back together long enough to answer. “Uh, you… took your shirt… off.”
You were a genius for that one, truly.
He turned to face you fully and your stomach clenched. Yonghee was far more toned than you expected, regardless that you already knew he was a dancer. Of course he was fit. Though the breeze was balmy at worst, there were faint chills covering Yonghee’s skin beneath your gaze, his nipples peaked like he was cold.
“Your turn.”
That snapped you out of your trance. “Huh?”
Yonghee gave you his usual sweet smile, but there was a glint in his eyes that you had only seen a few times before. Namely, the instances you’d caught him staring at you when he thought you weren’t looking.
“We can lay them out on the sand to dry.” He explained. “If you dragged me all the way out here, we might as well stay to enjoy the sun.”
You rolled your eyes. Despite the fact that his idea was a good one for logical reasons, your tummy was now painfully warm.
As he had, you grasped the hem of your shirt and quickly tugged it off before you could change your mind. You were left only in your white bra, a simple number with a tiny bow between your breasts, but Yonghee’s eyes widened.
He swallowed thickly. Wordlessly, he took your wet shirt and laid it out beside his on the sand. You stood awkwardly, a little unsure what to do with yourself, and resisted the urge to cross your arms over your chest.
Yonghee approached again until there was less than a foot between your bare skin and his. “Are you… okay?” He breathed, his voice strained.
“Yes.”
You watched his expression as his eyes drifted away from your face. Almost like he couldn’t help himself, his hand lifted so his fingertips could drift over your stomach. Warmth pooled in your core at the sensation, his touch feather-light and still a little wet with seawater.
His fingers trailed higher, leaving chills in their wake, until he toyed with the bow between your breasts.
“Yonghee?”
“Yeah?”
“What are you doing?”
Yonghee’s eyes snapped up to your face again. Some of the tension in his shoulders relaxed a bit when he saw your smile, but the hand which had been timidly exploring fell to his side.
“Sorry.” He breathed. “You’re just… stunning.”
Fondness swelled in your heart. Would this feeling ever go away? You hoped it wouldn’t—this raw happiness that only Yonghee seemed to be able to draw out of you.
You raised both your hands, questioning with your eyes. Yonghee nodded once. His breath caught lightly when your palms flattened against his toned stomach, your fingers gently curling around his waist.
His skin was warm beneath your hands. Your tryst in the sea had left you a little chilly, despite the midday sun, and you instinctively leaned into his heat as you sought more of it.
Yonghee’s hand raised to cradle your jaw. You hardly dared to breathe as he leaned in, his lips slotting against yours with heartbreaking softness.
The kiss felt like coming home. You sighed deeply and rested your forearms on his broad shoulders, allowing your fingers to tangle into his damp hair. Yonghee’s tongue gently prodded your bottom lip, testing, tasting, as his arms wound tighter around your waist.
Warmth blossomed in your core at the sensation of his bare skin against yours. It was intoxicating, that feeling—it was the first time you had done something like this with him but you already never wanted it to end.
A soft mix of a moan and sigh left your lips when Yonghee’s hands drifted hesitantly lower, stopping when they rested on your ass. He kneaded your pillowy skin gently and your knees instantly began to shake.
You weren’t sure how much longer you could take this unhurried exploration of each other. You needed him more than you’d ever needed anything in your entire life.
Yonghee, apparently, agreed. His mouth moved against yours with increasing urgency, his arms squeezing you so tightly to his body that it took your breath away. Not that you minded, considering you were behaving much in the same way.
You whimpered at the hard length you felt pressed against your stomach. You were pleased to know that you affected him as deeply as he did you, if that were even possible. Yonghee groaned when you rolled your hips against him in an attempt to provide some friction.
“Please, please,” he murmured as he held your cheeks between both his palms, “I want you. I can’t stop thinking about you—” Yonghee left a trail of wet kisses down your throat to the curves of your breasts. You scratched his scalp with your nails, breathing heavily each time his lips left a mark.
“Have me, then.” Your reply was breathless, and Yonghee wasted no time obeying.
He laid you gently on top of your damp t-shirts, still drying on the sand. Your thighs instantly parted to accommodate him as he slotted himself between them, his mouth still roving across your collarbones.
You squeezed your eyes shut as he worked his way lazily down your body, pausing to dote on every inch of your skin within his reach. His long fingers pressed hard into your hipbones like he was trying to ground himself.
You gasped when his fingertips ghosted over your pants, slowly unrolling each leg of fabric at a pace that drove you wild. When he was finally done, he hesitated again, his face hovering mere inches above your pelvis.
He planted a soft kiss over the button. “Can we take these off?”
Your cheeks heated as you nodded hurriedly. Yonghee easily undid the button and slid your pants down your legs, trailing his tongue down your leg as he went. The instinct to cover yourself was enormous.
He hadn’t even removed your panties, but the expression on his face set your body tingling as he stared at your dripping center. Like it was an instinct, he dragged the tip of his finger over the cotton and smiled when your body jolted.
Yonghee kissed your inner thigh, then the other, before his lips brushed your clothed clit. You couldn’t help the airy moan that escaped your throat. You were already so sensitive—you were wet to the point of discomfort, the warmth between your legs aching to be soothed.
He pushed your panties to the side so his fingers could tease your entrance. You could feel his eyes on your face every second as they experimentally pushed in. Your arousal made the movement easy and you tensed when his fingertips nudged your swollen g-spot.
“Like that?” He whispered, his words followed by another kiss to your clit. The sound of his voice, low and breathless, made you clench around his fingers.
“Yes, Yonghee, god, just like that…” you panted. He thrusted his fingers in again, this time setting a rhythm that had you writhing. His lips sealed around your clit, gently sucking while his tongue moved in delicate circles around it.
You unintentionally tugged at the roots of his hair and Yonghee groaned against you. You weren’t expecting the vibrations, nor how incredible they felt as they ricocheted through your stomach.
His pace didn’t falter once. Yonghee continued to moan onto your clit, the lewd sounds broken by his muttered praises about being good for him or taking him so well. You felt your orgasm steadily ratcheting higher inside you, your walls repeatedly fluttering around his fingers.
“Please, cum on my tongue. Want to taste you so bad—” Yonghee’s dirty words were by far the filthiest you’d ever heard come out of his mouth. They set off fireworks in your blood, your skin impossibly warm and sensitive as he drove you closer to your high.
“Shit, I’m—I’m—” You couldn’t even manage to get a full sentence out.
Yonghee nodded eagerly, the movement only causing his tongue to move more firmly against you. He added a third finger, scissoring you open as his middle finger continuously thrusted against your g-spot.
You came with such intensity that your entire body locked under the weight of it. Your toes curled and eyes screwed shut, your mouth parted in a perfect o. Your hips jolted against Yonghee’s lips as he languidly licked you through it, prolonging your pleasure as long as he could.
When you at last couldn’t take any more, you gently pushed him away by his shoulders. Yonghee gazed up at you beneath his lashes, his eyes glazed and a little unfocused as he smiled. His lips and chin shone with you, a sight which instantly made you desperate for him again.
“Let’s go home.” You rasped, your voice rough.
Yonghee raised an eyebrow, his lust-glossed eyes clearing a bit in his confusion. “Why?”
You unceremoniously stood, carefully disentangling him from your legs as you went. You were more than a little grateful that no unsuspecting passerby had discovered you in the past ten minutes.
It wasn’t until you had cleaned yourself from his face with your shirt and re-clothed yourselves that you answered.
“Because I want you to fuck me. And when that happens, I do not want sand involved.”
And surely you had never seen anyone move faster than Yonghee as he hauled you back in the direction of the car.
You’d have to convince him to ditch the company more often.
Your parents are sleeping, right?
you
yeah why-
loml yong 🥰
Come outside 😊
Your eyes widen as you drop your phone on to your pillow, kicking off the blanket and running to your bedroom window.
Peering outside, you could see a man in a hoodie standing under a streetlight, leaning against it as he stares down at his phone screen. A gasp escapes your lips—though the guy was turned away from you, you could recognize the matching dog hoodie to your cat one anywhere.
Wasting no time, you rush over to your closet, grabbing whatever sweater you could get your hands on before shoving your phone into one of the pockets.
You slowly creaked open your door, sneaking through the hallway and down the stairs, cringing every time one of the floorboards attempted to snitch on you. Soon, you were outside and immediately blasted with the crisp 12 a.m. air.
"Yonghee!" you called out as you all but skipped in his direction.
"Hey," he greeted simply as he turned to look at you, "..you're wearing the pajamas I got you."
"Of course," you hugged him before leaning back to give him a once over, admiring how beautiful he always looked, even in the simplest clothes, "just like you're wearing the hoodie I got for your birthday~"
"Of course," he copied you, eye smile on display as he habitually took one of your hands into his own, his cold skin sending a slight chill down your back.
"Anyways, what are you doing out this late?"
"I told you I couldn't sleep.." He looks away, lost in thought as something hard to pin swirls in his eyes—a small seed of worry is planted in your stomach as you silently rub your thumb on the back of his hand, waiting for him to continue. His eyes are back on yours as whatever quiet storm they carried seconds before seems to settle. He lifts his other hand into view, a rustling capturing your attention. "I brought us snacks."
You stared at him with pouted lips, wishing you could read his mind and pick his brain for whatever was bothering him. Though you loved spontaneous moments like this with him, Yonghee wasn't generally that—he always meticulously planned things like your dates just to make sure you're happy and have as much fun as possible—so, for him to show up outside of your place at a time he'd usually be sleeping...
"Why're you staring at me like that?" he asked, breaking you out of your own thoughts. The smile stretched on his face now was one of smoke and mirrors—something you could see through.
You shook your head in response, though, because even if you could tell he was hiding his sadness away, he'd tell you eventually when he figured things out within himself. He always did.
So you stuck a smile of your own onto your face, hands immediately going for the bag as you stuck your head in to look inside, "oooh~ What'd you get?"
He was laughing now as he passed the bag to you so you could get a better look. "All of your favorites. I did good, right?"
You pecked his cheek as you excitedly pulled out a bag of chips. "Without fail, my lucky star."
"Lucky star?" He questioned, taking a seat on the curb and wiping down the spot beside him for dirt and pebbles so you could sit beside him.
"Don't ask," you responded with a laugh, already chomping away at your chips, "it just feels right."
The two of you soon fell into a comfortable silence, something you've become accustomed to since the two of you met at the beginning of freshman year almost four years ago.
You were stumbling around the halls, eyes desperately searching the walls for any clue as to where the hell your first period class was. It was the second week of the first semester so everyone else had the gist of their routes—except you. You being you, of course, this was only your first day as you ditched the entire first week. It was hard for you to make friends and unfortunately for you, none of your middle school friends came to this school; it was safe to say you weren't excited to start high school so you'd ditch whenever you got the chance.
Then there was Yonghee, some random kid who decided to help you out.
Yonghee was pretty much the opposite of you when it came to this whole school thing—he was diligent, even went to the freshmen orientation and everything. You were lucky that he noticed you, that your first period on that day was the same class, that he unknowingly let you attach yourself to his hip.
"Hey, y/n?" He called out to you, pulling you away from your reminiscent thoughts.
You simply hummed in response, glancing at him as you went back into the bag in front of you for another snack.
He paused for a second, toying with the promise ring around his finger that gleamed under the street light: it was something he got the two of you last year for your 2nd anniversary. It always made something well inside you when you notice him wearing it.
"Have you.. sent in your applications yet?" He quietly asked, big, curious eyes watching for your answer. They overwhelmed you, making you turn away as you looked up at the moon.
"Nope." You answered simply.
"'Nope'? You know the window closes soon, right? You should turn them in..."
You let out a puff of air that mimicked a laugh, but completely void of humor. "I'm not going to college."
His body was fully turned to you now, his eyes even wider than before from the shock of your words and how casually you said them. "You're not going? What do you mean you're not going??"
"I mean.. I'm not going, Yong. I'm taking a gap year, figure out what I wanna do, whether or not I wanna spend another four years suffering through school."
"And your parents said okay to that?"
"Of course not- I haven't even told them yet; they'd kick me out."
"Y/n…" he trailed off as his head spun from everything you just dropped on him.
You sighed, turning to face him with a small smile—though you understood his concern, you were dead set on your decision, already having thought it over at least a thousand times. "Hey, it's fine, alright? I'll get a job, stay with Jooyoung—you know her parents love me~"
Yonghee simply stared at you, not even knowing how to process it all or what to say in response. His face just fell further into a worried frown.
Your smile grew as you lifted a finger to his forehead, pressing at the space between his eyebrows to smooth out the crease, "I'll be fine, I promise, okay? Enough about me; have you done your apps?"
And there was that storm in his eyes again…
He looked away with a sigh of his own, "Yeah, a few Ivy's and um… an arts school."
"An.. arts school?"
"For acting- it's stupid, isn't it?" He lets out a pitiful laugh as he lowers his head to his arms that rested atop his knees.
"Not in the slightest, babe," You placed a hand in his hair, gently combing through it because you knew he loved that, "I just didn't know you were seriously into acting—I thought your theatre class was just for the credit?"
"It is… theatre isn't for me. I wanna be on a screen.. in dramas like-"
"Like Park Hyungsik?"
He lifted his head to look at you, unable to hold in a laugh when he met your sparkling eyes at the mention of Hyungsik, "if that's what you want, then sure."
"But in all seriousness though, Yong, I believe in you to make it. You've already got the face of an actor," you pinch his cheek as he blushes at your compliment, "you've got endless talent, a drive to do better all the time- if anyone's gonna be the next big actor, it's going to be you."
The smile Yonghee flashes your way this time felt like a blast of sunlight through the temporary reign the moon held on the sky. It was blinding, made your heart beat like crazy, and you knew that no matter how long you end up with him, you'd never get used to his beautiful smile.
"I feel like I can take on the world with you by my side." He whispered out, his voice honey sweet as he gazed at you.
You weren't able to handle him looking at you like that so you thought of the most moment-ruining thing you could do: fake vomit. You started dramatically gagging as you scooted away from him.
"What? What'd I say??"
You feigned disgust as you glanced at him, "how do you always manage to say the cheesiest things without realizing it?"
He rolled his eyes at you yet that pretty crescent sun stayed etched on his face. "Whatever just come back over here or else I'll have to eat all these snacks by myself."
You were quick to cuddle into his side, resting your head on his shoulder as you hugged his arm.
"Y/n?"
"That's me, yeah."
"Can you promise me something?"
You slightly pulled away from him to peer into his face, his eyes already on you, "I've been making a lot of promises tonight, but sure, what is it?"
"Promise me," he started before his hand hesitantly came up to cup the side of your face, making sure you didn't turn away from him as he spoke, "that no matter what happens.. we'll always be together, even if it's just as friends. I can't imagine my life without you in it now."
You could feel your cheeks blossoming red as you tried to stutter out a response, taken aback by the seriousness in his expression and words, "I- um- yeah.." Your hand raises to his own, your finger lightly rolling his cold ring against your cheek, "that's what these rings are for though, right?"
Yonghee didn't verbally respond but you could see the love he held for you color his dark eyes under this bleak night sky. His eyes shone much like his smile, but whereas his smile was like the rays of the sun, his eyes were the light that reflected off the ocean—it brought a subtle, but steadily growing warmth to your world.
So you kissed him. You kissed him to express all the love you held for him, love that he filled you with whenever he could, love that you were more than happy to give back.
Tumblr media
the house was filled with the smell of a freshly cooked meal, the deliciously looking dinner waiting on the table. as always, your boyfriend yonghee went out of his way to prepare something nice for the both of you. and even though you should be feeling happy about it all, you felt as if there was something wrong, the tension thick in your shared apartment.
for the entirety of the day, yonghee felt distant, almost as if he didn't want to speak to you at all. and as much as you wanted to ignore it, his behavior was surely strange to you; he never acted this way, always the clingy, sweet type of boyfriend. so to see him barely speaking to you through the day, not even a kiss before work? it was weird.
you sat down at the table, your hands shaking slightly as yonghee sat down aswell, right across from you.
'thanks for the meal, honey' you said, smiling lightly at the boy in an attempt to loosen the tension up a bit. he gave you a small smile in response, a short 'mhm' escaping his lips.
he went straight to eating after that, trying his best to ignore your confused gaze on him. almost as he was pretending you weren't there.
'is there something wrong?' you finally asked, breaking the silence between the two of you. 'did something bad happen at work lately? some family issues?'
he sat silent for a few seconds, avoiding eye contact with you.
'i don't know, you tell me' yonghee said, looking up at you. you couldn't really read anything from his face, but his eyes showed a lot. sadness, betrayal and a slight but clearly noticeable hint of anger. and yet you had no idea where all these emotions came from.
'what do you mean?' you looked at him, a confused look painting on your face.
'maybe about the big flower bouquet that someone left in front of our apartment yesterday?' he said in an annoyed tone. 'or maybe the love letter that came along with it?'
'yonghee, what are you talking about?' you couldn't hide your confusion. for a second you thought he might've imagined something; you had no knowledge of any flowers, let alone love letters from anyone else but him.
'don't play dumb, y/n.' he said, the tone of his voice making you shiver. through the entirety of your relationship, he never spoke to you that way; it was something new, and definitely not something you enjoyed.
'i am not.' you said, the whole situation stressing the hell out of you. 'i truly have no goddamn idea of what you're talking about.'
'do you really?' his eyes focused on yours, his earlier resting face now expressing anger and annoyance 'or are you just hiding something from me?'
'honey, please calm down.' you stood up in an attempt to come up to your boyfriend, but he quickly shut you off.
'don't honey me right now, y/n.' yonghee spat, standing up to take a step awan from you. 'you're trying so fucking hard to pretend you're not cheating on me, it's almost funny.'
his words were like a punch straight to the face.
'what?'
you couldn't believe he would actually accuse you of something like this. in that exact moment, you felt as if a stranger was standing right across from you, not your loving boyfriend. after all, your boyfriend trusted you, or so you thought. because whatever left his lips right now wasn't any signs of trust and you were 100% aware of it.
tears started gathering in your eyes, threatening to fall down every second. you felt as if someone just put a knife straight through your heart; all meanwhile you were trying your best not to burst out crying.
the room went silent, as yonghee slowly came to the realization of what he just said, and it scared him. he promised himself, so many times, to never gush out on you, and yet there he was; standing right across from you, a terrified, broken look on your face, looking like you're at the brink of breaking down.
and it was all because of him.
he wanted to apologize, say anything that would deny his previous words, but it felt as if his mouth was sealed, and no matter how much he tried, no words came out of him.
and so he just had to watch as you bursted out crying, hiding your face in your hands as you walked out the kitchen, heading to the door. he watched frozen in place as you put on your shoes and coat, how you reached for your keys from the top shelf, where you would always put them.
‘y/n-’ when he finally managed to say your name, it sounded more like a weak plead rather than his voice just minutes before, and all of a sudden he found himself at the brink of crying.
he took a step towards you, an attempt to prevent you from leaving, but at the same time he knew that you would walk out the door either way. he fucked up, and your reaction was adequate to the situation you were in.
he had no other choice but to let you leave.
‘i’m going to seoyeon’s place.’ you said, trying to contain your crying just for a second. ‘just so you know where to find me, i guess.’
and you left, closing the door behind yourself, leaving yonghee to himself in an apartment that had never felt so empty before. it didn’t take long for him to break down just like you did a bit earlier; tears staining his cheeks as they rolled down, landing on the wooden floor.
that night, yonghee didn’t sleep for even an hour straight.
he was so mad at himself. for leashing out on you the way he did, for accusing you of something he knew you would absolutely never do. he risked losing you over something so stupid, too blinded by his own anger to even give you a second to explain yourself, to remind himself that you loved him too much to even come close to anything as terrible as cheating on your loved one. cheating on him.
he contemplated on whether to drive to seoyeon’s place or not, knowing well how overprotective of a friend she is. she probably wouldn’t even let him inside; not after hearing about what he did.
yonghee didn’t waste any more time, not even bothering to change into something that wasn’t his yesterday's outfit. he looked quite miserable; hair messy, clothes creased, but at that time, it wasn’t really important for him. what was important was getting to your friend’s place as fast as he could.
you didn’t really know what to expect when you saw your boyfriend in the doorway of seoyeon’s apartment, breathing heavily as if he was rushing up to get there. you didn’t have too much time to think about it, either; soon enough seoyeon’s head peeked out of the kitchen, and quickly rushed him to get inside.
‘can we talk?’ he asked, his eyes focused on your face. before you were able to answer, though, your friend quickly got in the way of you two.
‘before you even try to explain anything to her, i need to exchange a word with you.’ seoyeon looked serious like she never did before, yonghee shivering slightly at her cold and expressionless eyes staring daggers into him. ‘come outside with me for a minute.’
she looked over to you, her gaze immediately changing into a soft one, as she mouthed a quick ‘i’ve got this’, before disappearing behind the door.
and so you waited in silence, with shaky hands and stress eating you from the inside, waiting for them to come back.
you were grateful to have a friend like seoyeon for many reasons. one of them was that no matter the situation you were in, she would always help you out. just like she was doing it now.
the night before, after she calmed you down and let you explain what had happened at your apartment, you asked her to talk to yonghee before talking with him yourself. she agreed immediately, knowing what the situation looked like, knowing why the argument even started in the first place.
after all, you were well aware of the flowers and letters sent to you. you were just to afraid to tell yonghee about the whole situation.
the idea you could ever have a stalker never really crossed your mind, and yet here you were; receiving flowers, letters and other presents, first to your desk at work, then right to your doorstep. every single time before you had managed to somehow hide it from yonghee, afraid he wouldn't believe you if you told him about it, or that he would react the same way he did the night before; accusing you of cheating on him.
and so you kept it to yourself. after a month, it became a routine for you; throwing out the presents you always got every day, extra careful not to let anyone see that there was anything wrong.
but seoyeon obviously noticed.
she had asked you about it one day at work, and you almost broke down in tears explaining the whole situation. even though you tried to play it cool all of the time, reality was this stalker thing was eating you from the inside. but having at least one person to help you deal with it was great, and you were grateful that she helped you with getting rid of every single thing your stalker got you. yet still, you didn’t want to listen to her with the most important thing, it obviously being telling your boyfriend about it.
so you were incredibly relieved when seoyeon agreed to having that conversation with yonghee instead of you. she took a really big weight off your shoulders with that, and you couldn’t possibly comprehend how much you appreciated her for that.
you heard the door open, snapping you out of your thoughts, and suddenly, the stress came back. but it seemed to die down immediately the moment you saw yonghee, his gaze soft and caring, just like it usually was.
he immediately came up to you, closing you in a tight hug, one that you definitely needed at that moment.
‘i’m sorry, honey.’ he said, resting his face on the crook of your neck. ‘for everything i said yesterday. for not taking time to think everything through. for gushing out on you like that. fuck- i’m so sorry.’
you smiled at him, your hand resting on top of his head, slowly stroking his head.
‘it’s okay, really’ you said, your hand continuing the movement. ‘it’s partially my fault for not telling you about the whole situation. i was’ you stopped for a second, taking a deep breath. ‘i was just scared you wouldn't believe me if i actually told you.’
‘please don’t feel that way, ever again’ he said, his eyes locking with yours. ‘and don’t think it’s your fault, y/n. it was me who’s in the wrong for gushing out on you this way, and i shouldn’t have done this. i’m here to support you, right? help you through every situation. after all, your problems are my problems too, you know?’
‘i’ll keep that in mind.’ you mumbled under your breath, just enough for yonghee to hear. he simled lightly, planting a quick kiss on your forehead.
‘sorry to interrupt your moment’ seoyeon said, walking out of the kitchen with her phone in her hand ‘but are you guys staying for dinner? i planned on ordering pizza today, and there’s a discount if you buy more than one.’
you looked at eachother, laughing silently.
‘i’ll pay for it.’ yonghee said, his words sounding more like a fact than a suggestion. ‘it’s the least i can do for now.’
‘sounds good to me.’ seoyeon said, heading back into the kitchen ‘but don’t think you’ll buy yourself into my graces this way. i’ll have my eye on you!’
yonghee laughed at your friend’s remark, looking over to you.
‘don’t worry about that. i’ll prove to you i’m worthy of dating your best friend.’
Tattoos Together
context: college art student, piano player! yonghee x psychology major, piano player!g.n. reader met during lunch on their free time between classes
word count: 2.7k
warnings: fluff ?? ,, mention of food
a/n: writing for every member for FIX week that i haven’t written for yet (aka everyone except BX) + how did this get so long ?? oopsies + this is literally based upon something that happened to me IRL so yea ,,, enjoy and happy FIX week ♡
—————————————
there you sat waiting for your next class, researching for your psychology paper that wasn’t due for another two months. you had finished your first two classes of the day, both of them going by in a breeze. now you sat in the student lounge of your college, doing some more boring work as you picked at some garlic knots you picked up from the cafeteria next door. as the time struck closer to one o’clock, more students started filing into the lounge to meet up, eat lunch, or do whatever they pleased before, between, or after classes.
even though a bunch of once-empty seats were being filled by soloists and friend groups, there you still sat alone at your table with your laptop open in front of you. no one never really approached you considering you were quiet and mainly kept to yourself. your resting face was something some would call “bitchy”, but that was more out of your control. when people started noticing lesser seats, that’s when people decided to fill the booths and seats next to you. you didn’t pay any mind to them though, you continued to read an article on chemical imbalances in the brain as you continued to munch away on the surprisingly delectable food.
as you took a sip from your strawberry mango smoothie, Lauv’s Enemies playing through your left ear as you kept in only one airpod to pay attention to your surroundings, you looked up as the chair to the right of your table was pulled back by a tall, handsome man. you just stared as his eyes met yours, noticing the small brown dot underneath his one eye.
“is it okay if i sit here and eat?” he questioned, a large art bag hanging off his one shoulder and a plastic bag in his other hand.
you nodded, moving your laptop and food tray over to make more room for him to be able to lay his food out. you scooted your bag from your right to your left, placing it between your legs so he could put his art bag down that seemed quite heavy. “of course, go ahead. i don’t mind.” you replied, motioning for him to sit and to place his bags down.
he did as you offered, him bowing slightly as a thank you. you smiled politely at him, bowing back to him respectfully and turning back to your work. as he opened up his bag and different containers of food, you couldn’t help but feel your mouth water. you smelled a bunch of different spices and food you had never had before. you peaked over, noticing different foods you had never seen before. you looked away quickly, not wanting him to notice you looking and wanting him to think the smell was bothering you. but he noticed, and said something.
“oh, uh, is the smell bothering you? i’m sorry-“ he started before being interrupted by you.
you quickly shook your head. “no no, not at all. it smells really good, i was curious. sorry for staring.” you replied, smiling awkwardly at him.
with his strong accent poking out, you assumed he wasnt from your area. this, of course, didn’t bother you in the slightest. if anything, it made you curious. your college did have transfer students from other countries, so you assumed he was from another country or something of that sorts. every time he looked at you, you felt yourself wanting to scream about how breathtaking he was. how did the universe create him?
“oh.” he paused briefly before speaking up again, picking up a pair of chopsticks he had in his bag and pointing at each container that had food. “this is 떡볶이.” he said as he pointed to the biggest container he had before pointing to the second biggest one. “and this is 김치.” he continued to name each container one by one, further filling your curiosity. he’s korean, you thought to yourself. so he might be a transfer student from south korea.
you nodded, listening intently as he described each one to you. he even offered you some, but you declined. “i already have some food, but thank you! that does all sound really good, thought. maybe one day.” you said, smiling at him.
he smiled, nodding and turning towards his food to start eating. for quite some time you both went back to doing your own thing, him eating and on his phone occasionally as you finished your garlic knots and sipped on your smoothie as you read up on different mental illnesses for your paper. you would occasionally catch a glimpse of him out the corner of your eye, admiring him for a split second before returning back to what you were previously doing. he was really handsome- so fucking cute. breathtaking, really.
that’s when you noticed him place his phone upright, the youtube app open and him listening to piano music. inside, you wanted to squeal out of excitement. you played piano as well, and knew no one else that listened to piano music willingly as well. you smiled shyly at your computer, pretending to be smiling at something on there. that’s when you decided to close your laptop and open your phone to message your friend who was definitely still asleep, even though it was 1:20 in the afternoon.
dude this cute guy sat next to me in the lounge
he’s so attractive wtf
he noticed me looking at his food and explained it to me, i think he’s korean
he’s even listening to piano music </3
might be the loml who knows
you couldn’t help but double text your friend out of excitement. it’s not everyday a cute, polite guy sits next to you and openly talks to you. no one really speaks to you, so to have someone like him do so was somewhat shocking but in a good way.
you noticed him switch the song, watching as he did so subconsciously since you were wondering what he’d put on next. of course, he noticed. when he paused what he was doing and you noticed his headphones place on the table, you looked up to notice him looking at you already.
“oh, uh, sorry. i was just-“
“am i bothering you?” he asked as he tilted his head to the side slightly.
you waved your hands. “no, no. i, um, play piano so i was curious what you were listening to.” you stated, playing with your fingers out of embarrassment. “sorry, i didn’t mean to stare.”
he smiled, and boy was it beautiful. “you play piano too?”
and that’s what struck up your conversation for the next half an hour. you both talked about your love for piano, exchanging names and learning about each other as well. you were right, he was an exchange student from South Korea. he told you about back home, about his family and four other friends that he sadly left behind to pursue a career in the arts. and you told him about your life, or what you were willing to open up with him about. even his name was beautiful to you: kim yonghee.
he randomly started packing up containers, making you raise a curious brow at him. “oh, do you have class soon?” you asked him, secretly hoping he would stay longer. you genuinely enjoyed his company.
he shook his head no as he continued to pack up, shoving everything quickly into the same bag as before. “i don’t have class till three o’clock,” he replied, pausing to look over at you for a quick second before standing up in his chair. “i wanted to go play some piano before class, do you want to come too?”
you nodded, kind of confused but agreeing with him. “there’s a piano on campus?”
“you didn’t know? it’s right downstairs.”
you shook your head as you shoved your laptop in your bag, shuffling out of the booth and taking your items to throw away and dispose of the tray on top of the others. you both continued to talk as you followed him to the piano room, curious as to where this mysterious room was. you weren’t nervous considering it was the middle of the day and people were all around campus today, so nothing could happen to you at all. plus, you felt comfortable around him for some odd reason. you didn’t mind that new feeling, though.
as you followed him outside and across to the theatre department of campus, you smiled as you noticed a big piano to the left of the building right behind big glass windows. they were behind tinted windows, and you couldn’t help but get excited as you approached it. but your excitement faded as you realized something.
“are we allowed to be in here?” you asked him, turning to him as you entered through the front of the building and walked towards the room where the piano was.
“yes,” he replied. he swung the door open, placing his bags down as if he had done it multiple times. “i asked my counselor and they said it was okay.”
“if i get in trouble it’s your fault, yonghee.” you joked, earning a small chuckle from him.
you placed your bag next to the piano as you entered the room, grazing your hands over the keys and admiring the aging piano. all you could do was hope to own one just like this one day, just so you can spend your free days playing mindlessly to absolutely no one in particular.
yonghee knocked you out of your trance as he sat on the wooden bench, the screeching noise echoing through the tiny room. you looked over to him to see him already looking at you with a smile on his face, patting the empty space next to him.
“come sit, i want to hear you play.” the excitement in his voice was evident, especially with that smile of his that ever dared to leave his face.
you couldn’t help but giggle as you sat next to him, thighs and arms touching. you could feel his muscle rub against your arm as they touched, making your knees feel weak. “i will next time.” you said, scared to play for him. you only ever played by yourself, only when no one was ever home and allowed to hear you mess up or succeed. and you sure as hell were not going to play for a man you just met an hour ago.
he shot you a frown. “why not now?”
“i’m shy.” you said as you avoided his gaze, looking down at the piano keys for a split second before looking back at him. “but i want to hear you play, please?” you didn’t mean for it to sound like a question, but it ended up coming out that way anyway.
“only if you play for me next time, i will play now.” he negotiated, causing a laugh to escape from your lips.
“yes, i will. i promise.”
he cracked his knuckles and neck dramatically, causing a smile to form on your lips. “any song you want me to play?”
you looked up, thinking for a second before the perfect song came to mind. “never not by lauv.”
he nodded, smiling at the recommendation. as you both got to know each other, you found out that you both loved Lauv’s music; he was both one of your favorite artists. when he said Never Not was his current favorite song by him, you secretly died inside- it was yours as well. But you lied saying it was Tattoos Together because you didn’t want him to think you were saying what he wanted to hear.
as there he went, playing the song effortlessly. the melody was music to your ears- both metaphorically and literally. you closed your eyes for a few seconds, losing yourself in his beautiful playing. as you did so, he watched you for a few seconds before turning back. he found you very pretty, and you in this moment made his heart skip a beat. he wasn’t sure why, but it did. something about you gravitated you towards him, which made him sit next to you. he could’ve easily sat outside with his friends he made in class, but something was telling him to eat in the student lounge. so he did just that and found you. and here he was an hour later, full of food and playing piano for an ethereal human he met by chance. he made a mental note to thank the universe later.
when you opened your eyes again, you turned and watched his fingers play for the rest of the song. the way his long slender fingers played so gracefully made heat in your cheeks arise and a zoo uproar in your stomach. you’ve never had anyone play piano for you before, this was all new to you. whether this was your first and last meeting with yonghee or your first upon many, you didn’t mind. because this feeling, this memory, would last quite some time for you.
as he finished the song, a bright smile spread on your face and your hands started to clap at an appropriate volume. a blush crept across his cheeks as he looked at you, thanking you multiple times.
“i’ve done better, though.” he admitted, scratching the back of his neck.
“really? can i hear more?” you looked at your phone, checking the time. you both coincidentally had a class at three o’clock, so the timing was perfect.
“anything?” he asked as he laid his fingers upon some keys, not pressing down on them yet.
“anything.”
for the rest of the time, he played for you. he played everything from Lauv, to Beethoven, to a South Korean female artist by the name of IU he introduced you to that day. well, up until the last twenty minutes.
“let me teach you.” he suddenly suggested, taking you aback.
you raised a brow, tilting your head. “what song?”
he shrugged, then shook his head. “i know!” he said excitedly, getting up to stand behind you. “Tattoos Together, it’s another song i like from Lauv.” and when he placed his hands on top of yours, starting to guide your hands and fingers, you couldn’t help but giggle and smile like a fool.
but little did you know, he was too. he never expected his day to end up like this, but he wasn’t complaining. he hummed the tune between helping you play the correct notes, feeling his stomach get butterflies whenever you giggled. his face was directly next to yours the entire time, and for some reason that didn’t give you too much anxiety. if anything, just excitement. as the song practice ended, you both laughed as you looked at each other.
you both paused as your laughter subsided, just staring at one another with a goofy smile. they both faded gradually, one another just staring with nothing but admiration for this new found person. yonghee couldn’t help but glance down at your lips then back to your eyes, hoping he didn’t just ruin whatever was going on in the moment.
but you took it upon yourself to clear your throat and looked down in your lap, turning your head to unlock your phone and check the time- ten minutes to three.
“we, um, have ten minutes to get to class.” you mumbled, causing yonghee to pull away and start grabbing his bags.
the silence between you two were deafening for a good thirty seconds, the only sound being the rustling of you both quickly gathering your things. before he decided to break the silence, of course. “can i walk you to class?”
you turn to him, nodding when you realized he was looking at you. you couldn’t hold back your happy smile. “sure. but make sure not to be late, okay?”
“sure.”
as he walked you across campus to class, causing you to be three minutes late, you both exchanged instagram’s and numbers. he waited till he saw you sit in your seat to make sure you were okay before walking off to his class, knowing damn well he was going to be even later for his art course. when he finally got to his class, as he went to put his phone away in his bag he noticed a notification from you on his phone.
thank you for walking me to class! i will play some songs for you next time :]
Tumblr media
— cix and their ideal types.
Tumblr media
┖ lee b y o u n g g o n
his ideal type is someone who’s a “smooth-talker.” someone who’s witty with a sharp and quick tongue. they’re someone he can have lots of interesting conversations with - someone who can mentally stimulate him. he wants someone who is not just a good conversationalist but also a good listener; someone who can actively listen to what he says. they’re someone who is verbally affectionate and even bold, not afraid to make the first move. his ideal type is someone who is independent and will be his best-friend, not just a romantic partner. he’s attracted to open-minded and generally chill, easygoing people with an adventurous streak. someone with a vibrant and youthful energy.
┖ kim s e u n g h u n
he is attracted to someone who is passionate and bold yet a softie deep down. they’re someone who goes after what they want and can appear rather intimidating. he likes someone active and competitive too - the playful sense of competition will be exciting for him. the type of person who will cheat at boardgames and won’t even try to hide it. the type to suddenly challenge him to race to the grocery store. someone who will climb all over him and is lowkey a koala baby. they also have a “motherly” or nurturing side to them and they take care of him and provide a sense of comfort for him. at the same time, he wants someone he can protect and take care of in a more traditional way. basically, someone who can take care of him emotionally while also allowing him to take care of them in other aspects. someone he won’t mind him babying them a bit lmao. someone who’s artistically inclined is a bonus. someone who’s a hopeless romantic.
┖ kim y o n g h e e
his ideal type is someone who’s a “lady/gentleman in streets and freak in the sheets.” they normally have a calm and collected demeanor. they tend to be more reserved with most people but become very goofy and silly with people they’re close to, such as him. someone who has an air of mystery that keeps him guessing. he likes someone who lowkey plays hard to get to some extent; he enjoys the chase and the courting stage a lot. someone who is grounded and is in control of their emotions. someone who is unintentionally a meme. the type of person who is not normally affectionate but shows their affection in little moments of excitement/happiness such as a quick peck or very random, rather loud “i love you.”
┖ bae j i n y o u n g
he wants someone that he can show off and someone who likes to show him off. he would enjoy and find it entertaining if they’re a bit of a drama queen/king. someone a little extra and fun. he wants someone who makes him feel loved and wanted with lots of compliments and praises. someone playful and lively. the type of person who smiles or laughs into kisses. he’s attracted to people with pleasant voices - not necessarily someone who sings well and it doesn’t matter if the voice is low-pitched or high-pitched. someone who is a big foodie. someone who enjoys nature and outdoors. the type of person who likes giving long goodbye kisses. someone who likes to cuddle; someone who will be his little spoon.
┖ yoon h y u n s u k
he likes people who are easy-going, optimistic, and kind-hearted. someone who he can be equals with; a best-friend type of relationship. he wants someone who is patient and understanding. he also finds intelligence very attractive - perhaps someone who can impress him with small facts and details. someone kind of quirky or wacky. the type of person who texts him at midnight to bring them food - and they also willingly do the same for him. someone who is very supportive and remembers little details about him. someone thoughtful and considerate.
as you struggle to fall asleep, you’re currently lying next to your slumbering boyfriend when you see a bright light that comes through your window. you knew immediately it was thunder. before you could even cover your ears, yonghee was already covering them for you, singing to you to drown out the noise. he kisses the top of your head as the loud crackle subsides and he says “don’t worry my love, im right here to get you through this storm.” within half an hour, you fell asleep knowing that someone like yonghee will protect you from anything.
Tumblr media
Today had been quite stressful for the both of you. You were days away from your first comeback as a soloist and Yonghee was preparing for his group’s comeback as well. So you had been practicing harder than usual.
You were so exhausted that the only thing you wanted to do was sleep for days straight while cuddling with your boyfriend.
You opened the door to your shared apartment, Yonghee trailing behind you. Took your shoes off and walked slowly to the coach.
Then you literally fell on it, too tired to get to your bed. You got yourself comfortable and closed your eyes.
Seconds later you felt a weight on top of you and a tender kiss being placed on your forehead.
“Hi, baby.” You opened your eyes and looked at him with a loving smile.
“Hi, my love.” He responded mirroring your smile and rested his head on your chest. “Let’s nap before we order something to eat, okay?”
You nodded, feeling your eyes heavy.
And with that, you both fall asleep in your favorite position. The black haired loved sleeping like this because he said you were pretty comfy and listening to your heartbeats helped him sleep.
A few hours later you woke up to a loud bang. You sleepily opened your eyes and rubbed your knuckle against your eye.
You couldn’t see your boyfriend, which was odd, since he never woke up before you.
You heard a low groan and looked down to the floor, seeing him sprawled on the carpet.
You couldn’t help but let out a giggle. “Honey, are you okay?”
“Yeah, it just hurts a little.”
“My poor baby.” You got up and helped him off the floor. You then laid next to each other on the coach and placed your arms around him. The black haired putting his on your waist, pulling you closer. “What happened?”
“I don’t know, I guess I just slipped.” He pouted. You laughed and kiss him softly.
“Hopefully like this you won’t fall again.” You both laughed and started to doze again, sleeping till the next day without any other inconvenience.
[01:19] late-night cuddle sessions with yonghee were one of your favorite things. even more so because, most of the time, this leads to deep conversations about the future, your dreams, fears, aspirations, and many other things.
together, holding hands as you faced each other in bed, yonghee spoke softly to you. "i want to marry you someday, you know," he says with a smile, "and maybe have kids."
"you're getting very ahead of yourself, babe," you say with an amused chuckle, "but i'd be lying if i said i don't hope for the same," you add, smiling at him. he leaned forward and planted a kiss on your lips, then your forehead. he smiled lovingly at you as if you held the whole universe in your eyes; and to him, you totally did. "you're staring, baby."
he looked away shyly before flipping to lay on his back and pulling you so your head lay on his chest. you got comfortable laying on him, listening to his heartbeat lull you into a sleep-like trance. you thought about what it would be like to marry yonghee, what it would be like if you had little ones running around your house. the thought alone made you so happy, you had to stop yourself from smiling and giggling like a schoolgirl.
"what're you thinking about?" yonghee said, breaking you out of your trance. he brushed your hair out of your face as you looked up at him from your place on his chest. you timidly admitted what you were fantasizing about to him.
"just thinking about having little kids running around our house together. it seems like a perfect life to me," you say.
"any life with you is a perfect life," he says. you giggle at his words. did he have to be so cliche?
sealed with a kiss | yonghee
you’re a princess and yonghee is part of the royal guard. he has been away for months and you miss him almost too much to bare. every day you worry and hope he comes back from the war in your kingdom. and one day, he does.
tags: fluff, so much fluff, tiny bit of angst, historical au, mentions of light wounds
four months, one week and fifteen days. that’s how long you’ve had to endure without yonghee. it has been the longest four months of your life. even when you were sick with the flu for three weeks, which at the time had felt like a lifetime, hadn’t felt as dreadfully long as this. you know he hadn’t had a choice, that as a part of the royal guard it was his duty to go and do what he does best: take his place as an archer in the army whenever it was needed anywhere in the kingdom.
as long as the civil war had been going on, he has been gone, and day in day out you are afraid to receive word that he will not come back alive. he had made a promise on the day he left, when you were in your comfortable bed, naked and tangled up in each other, kissing your nose softly as he had whispered that no matter what, he would return to you, safe and sound. you had wanted to believe him. desperately.
“you worry too much,” he had chuckled softly, lightly pressing his nose against your cheek, something he always did when he wanted a kiss and you weren’t facing him. you had turned to him, a smile on your face that hadn’t reached your eyes. he kissed you then, soft and gentle, yet determined to prove that he meant what he said. sealed with a kiss.
no one knows how long this war will last, but even if it wasn’t for the fact that you hated being separated from your lover, it breaks your heart that it hasn’t been resolved yet. this is a matter between different civilians, and since your father, the king, can’t let his people ravage each other, he had had no choice but to send the royal guard on a mission to make sure no people would get unnecessarily hurt. it did, however, happen often enough that they needed to step in when a battle would take place. three, so far, you heard. three too many, for many reasons. especially because it put yonghee in danger.
watching the sunset from the long, slightly arched bridge, you wonder if he is looking up at the sky too. it is painted with pinks and purples, a cloud dotted against the light blue here and there. it is beautiful. almost as beautiful as him, you think to yourself. you would often watch sunsets together, be it in the royal gardens, at the large pond behind the palace or from your balcony. it made his skin glow a stunning gold, a sight that is engraved in your memory, probably forever.
“how long...” you whisper under your breath, your elbows leaning on the wooden railing of the bridge. “how long before you come back to me.”
“how about... three seconds?”
for a moment you think you imagine the familiar voice and you are positive you have gone insane with longing, but a feeling in your gut tells you that this is no hallucination. you quickly turn and see him at the edge of the bridge, a smile spreading onto his lips. he looks rough; his hair is dirty and looks like it hasn’t been washed or combed in days, if not longer. his robes are torn in some places and blood stained and you hope with all your might that it isn’t his blood. his face has smudges of dirt here and there and what looks to be a fresh scar on his brow, but other than that... he looks like the yonghee you know and love.
you suck in a gasp as you hurry over to him, right into his open arms, and you hug him tighter than you ever have before. he winces lightly but holds you just as tight and you stand there, in each other’s embrace for god knows how long. your eyes are firmly shut, stinging with tears as they trickle down your cheeks, still processing that he is, in fact, back.
“it’s alright, my love, i am here,” he whispers, one arm wrapped tightly around your waist, while his free hand is in your hair, holding you as close to his chest as possible. “as i promised.”
although yonghee isn’t badly hurt, it is still more than you’d like to see. his eyebrow has already been patched up, most likely over a week old, but he has a bruise on his side that tells you he probably had a broken rib or two. other than that, you have to admit that he is lucky to have gotten away with such light wounds. from what you heard after having gone into the palace with him, there had been nothing short of a blood bath a few days ago. the only good thing about that day, was that the conflict seemed to be resolved now, which is why he had been able to finally come back to the palace. the war is over.
you sit beside the bathtub in your white underdress as you lightly dab a wet washcloth along yonghee’s cheekbone. he is laying in the bath, his head leaning back on the edge of the tub, his eyes closed and a smile on his face. the water is just the right temperature--not too hot, not too cold--and you take your time washing the grime and dirt off of his body. you had insisted on doing it for him, wanting him to just relax as much as possible now that he was back home. back with you.
“sit up for me?” you ask, and he cracks open one eye slightly.
“hmm...” he hums, moving his hand up out of the water and tapping his lips lightly. “i require payment first.”
you scoff and roll your eyes, but you lean in anyway and kiss him softly on his lips, which are soft and freshly cleaned and familiar. the only lips you ever want to kiss.
“is that payment enough?” you giggle softly when you pull back, and he smiles as he sits up.
“i’ll be needing some more of those later, as well,” he lets you know as you shift your stool to be positioned behind him and get to work on washing his hair.
“oh will you now? we’ll see about that,” you say, as though there is any doubt that you would give him anything that he wants at this point. when you’re done washing and rinsing his hair you fetch him a towel. he gets out of the tub, water dripping from his clean body, and you step closer to him, first lightly drying his hair with the towel, then wrapping it around his waist.
“i should go to war more often if it means you treat me like this, my love,” he smirks down at you before laughing when you playfully slap his chest.
“don’t even think about it. i’m never letting you leave my sight again,” you tell him firmly, and he kisses your forehead when you wrap your arms around his still wet middle.
“i know you won’t,” he smiles down at you.
after drying off, yonghee lies on your bed, a deep sigh leaving his lungs as he finally gets to relax on something that isn’t the floor or a makeshift bed for the first time in months, probably. you insist on putting a soothing balm on his side that should be able to help with the pain, and carefully wrap a bandage around his waist, making sure not to make it too tight. he lets you, knowing it brings you peace of mind to take care of him like this.
“now come here, princess,” yonghee says, his voice becoming huskier and sleepier, and you know it won’t be long until he falls asleep. you join him in your bed, the sliding doors to your balcony open, letting the summer night’s breeze play with the thin curtains and caressing your body gently. the moonlight falls on his face perfectly and for just a tiny moment, you wonder if this is all just a dream. when he takes your chin in between his thumb and index finger to pull you closer into a kiss, however, you know that this is very much real.
“thank you,” you whisper against his lips.
“for what?” yonghee asks.
“for keeping your promise.”
