this is like. so non-important compared to all my other grievances with the webcomic but like. the reasons kim hyunsoo gives for changing javier's hair from silver to mint. lol. lmao even.
they're so,, lazy,,,,
that sounds like a skill issue my dude :/
i mean the novel illustrations did it perfectly well imo
'but nali' i hear you say 'those are novel illustrations, where there's only one drawing per chapter. of course it's more difficult to do in a webcomic'
and sure. you're right. it's very different in a webcomic. in fact i am almost certain that no webcomic has ever had a protagonist with silver hair.
not a single webcomic ever has done that before. truly. a completely unrealistic expectation to have.
really it's not like silver hair is one of the most popular tropes in manhwa and almost every other webcomic has one of those
clearly. this was a completely impossible thing to ask of an adaptation. it's not like it's one of the most iconic parts of our protagonist's design. it's not like it's mentioned almost every single time javier is onscreen.
really. what a truly necessary change.
which. speaking of.
now, correct me if i'm wrong. but shouldn't your deuteragonist, the very first character your character meets, your second main character's design,,, more important than a secondary character that isn't introduced like,,, more than a hundred episodes later???
like. i don't think we even get told what color lloyd's hair is. but god does the novel mention that habiel has silver hair every five minutes.
i'm sorry i just think that if you're gonna adapt something the very least thing you could do is try to be faithful to one of the very few character descriptions we ever get! especially that of your goddamn main character!
how come a secondary character takes precedence over him?? why not change that character's hair color then???
and even then. if your character design skills suck so much that two characters having the same hair color is enough to make them look too similar perhaps there's a bigger problem here.
i just,,,, i am almost certain i know what character he's speaking of. maybe even two characters. hell maybe even three. but fucking guess what. the webnovel illustrations already did designs for those characters. it gave them all silver hair. and there was No Issue at all because their designs were so distinct from one another that at no point was there any doubt of who was who. because that's what good character design is about.
like. that's such a stupid reason oh my godddd if you're gonna pull that bs then what's your excuse for all those other characters with brown hair. are you not worried they're gonna overlap because their hair color is the same. i mean you made silurian's brown hair darker so now it matches like 90% of your background characters. do their design not overlap like that.
i'm just!! it's such a stupid thing to get mad about!! especially when there's far more egregious changes being made but like!! it just,,, it shows the kind of attitude the people adapting tged into a webcomic have towards the source material
it's not about the hair color. i mean it is but there's more to it. it's about how the artists feel comfortable disregarding parts of the novel and canon because it's more convenient to them. it's about how they prefer to focus on unimportant stuff that gets them a few laughs rather than put a little bit of effort into getting their characters right. it's about how they waste entire panels into making ugly faces and repetitive jokes rather than take a bit of time to get the hair color of their protagonist correctly.
it is,, disappointing i guess :/
and because i'm petty. here.
that's literally it. that's all kim hyunsoo had to do. it's such a tiny detail and yet. couldn't be bothered to get it right lol
#i talk a lot <3#tged#the greatest estate developer#javier asrahan#i hope they never see this. they're doing a lot of work and the things they're doing require a lot of effort#i won't deny them that. they're clearly very talented people. i just wish they could care a little more about tged as they adapt it.#but that's very much my issue lol

Random Merciless Stuff part 5
After Kim Sunghan took power:
Jaeho got smaller cell
when Hyunsoo visits, two guys are cleaning hallway in front of Jaeho cell
when Hyunsoo entered Jaeho's cell the guy with number 875 (I'm not sure of that 5?) left the cell
in his new, smaller cell Jaeho has: cup with paste and toothbrush, baseball ball, cigarettes packs, shelf over his bed with a box, some materials, see-through cup, 2 bottles of something (soap? shampoo? energy drink?) and flip phone
there is TV on shelf in corner of cell next to entrance
there are 2 towels (one stripped green and other greyish-blue) hanging over Jaeho's cellmate bunk.
Jaeho’s clothes are laying on his bed and he was laying on them when Hyunsoo came in
warden uses antibacterial spray for couch before sitting down
when pretending to be clueless, Hyunsoo moves his hands a lot
when slapping warden Jaeho's cigarette falls out of his left ear
Jaeho has Nike’s shoes
he squats on coffee table and he blows smoke into warden face. Warden who likes clean stuff
Hyunsoo calls Jaeho 'ahjussi' twice in this scene. First time Jaeho corrects him to call him 'hyung'. Second time Hyunsoo is in the middle of threatening warden so Jaeho lit a cigarette instead
kitchen is located behind canteen room where slap fights take place (I realised layout after rewatchnig so I'm adding to the list) that means that Hyunsoo saw everything that happened in the kitchen even after Jaeho told him to leave.
sign over stove means something like "reflect life attitude"
there are 5 people in the kitchen: Jaeho, Hyunsoo, Jaeho's loyal man Young-geun, Sunghan and slap battle dude aka Jungsik aka number 823
place where Sunghan sits bonded on boxes is the same place where table is located when he, and before him Jaeho, eat meals with their man
Sunghan has his upper body and thighs tattooed. Some of them are: letter P, warrior, snake/dragon, yellow flower and many others
Jaeho's loyal man, Young-geun prison number is 922
Kim Sunghan got offer to take down Jaeho in August. He was promised third of 5 kg shipment made by Ko Byungchul
Extra: Sol Kyunggu (Han Jaeho) and Heo Joonho (Sunghan) played together in at least 4 movies: A Petal (1996), Silmido (2003), Man of Men (2019) and Merciless (2017)

Well, you did give me the permission to ask more, so here I am :D I'm still waiting for Mo Sanbi/Qiao Yicheng part 2 (WeiLan Derivs.) because I've re-read the first part like 6 times already (as you can see, I like it like, a normal amount) but I kinda know what to expect. Can you tell me something more about these?
Feng Douzi/You Dongdong (WeiLan Derivs.)
Zhu Houzhao/Pei Wende Childhood Friends Dubcon (WeiLan Derivs.)
and from the Merciless (such a good movie, so little fics)
Crack Time-Travel/Transmigration Fix-it (The Merciless)
I love reading author's thoughts and plans, that's why I always read the comment section underneath fics I like, so getting to ask here is an opportunity I'm not going to waste, tell me if you mind/have enough 😅
Let's jump right into it! I love talking about stuff that I like, and I only write the stuff that I like (although the end product can often leave much to be desired, the content rather than the delivery is always gonna be something that I'm super into).
"Mo Sanbi/Qiao Yicheng part 2 (WeiLan Derivs.)" is gonna be Qiao Yicheng's POV of part one, plus a little extra. It features Guys Bein' Dudes™, co-parenting, aging from young DILFs to older DILFs, dealing with your kids growing up, and most importantly: Family. Not only that, but I also stuck a cameo in by another Bai Yu character: a hapless young wannabe gangster named Lin Dayu. I can also give you an excerpt of The Dads going to see little Xiaowen's school play:
The Feng Douzi/You Dongdong fic is like comedy-genre PWP. Two stupid and frustrated dudebros trying to have sex, but it's not going too well. I mean, it goes pretty well, but not exactly swimmingly.
The "Zhu Houzhao/Pei Wende Childhood Friends Dubcon" fic is pretty much what it says on the box. A petulant emperor who's more complicated (and miserable) than he looks and a done-with-everyone's-shit demon hunter: who used to be an annoying but adorable little prince and pretty much his babysitter: sprinkle in some angst, some power dynamics, and boom! That's the fic. Also there's smut.
The Merciless is a fucking GREAT movie. I'm so glad I made a discord server for it, so that I could get the fandom together to make some stuff. More people need to watch it and make stuff for it for sure.
The Crack Time-Travel/Transmigration fic's premise is here, but basically it's like this: Jaeho dies because Hyunsoo kills him. Except when he wakes up, he's in solitary confinement after Kim Sunghan shows up in jail and the balance of power has shifted. He's taken out of solitary, Hyunsoo saves his life, and Jaeho realizes he has a second chance. Basically, what kind of rom-com the Merciless could have been if Jaeho secured Hyunsoo's loyalty by saving his mom, rather than killing her.
Your comments are a literal blessing, and I love replying to them. Your interest in my stuff feeds me and gives me energy to keep creating. So thank you so much for your interest, and I don't honestly think I'll ever have enough! <3

Penthouse 3.10
sorry for the negativity but the revenge was not as satisfying as I thought it would be? Some scenes felt repetitive and a lot of it was done by people idc about (real jdt, teacher jin...) I know it was orchestrated by logan and suryeon but the only scenes I truly enjoyed were the ones with kang mari and ha yoon cheol. But then, it's not over and they're probably just keeping the good stuff for the end.
Kim hyunsoo is an incredible actress but can they please stop making her cry 😭 Just bring yoonhee back then she can be happy :)
I think I've finally made peace with hyc's impending death 🧘♀️ obviously rona will never forgive him (which I understand) and it looks like eunbyeol will push him away next episode so might as well end this man's suffering. If he dies though, I'm gonna write an essay so long no one will read it.
never thought I'd say this but jdt was cute in his laundry bin 😂 who would've thought he'd become this drama's comic relief
Ha eunbyeol???? I don't understand, they make it look like she wants to erase her mother's memories so they can be happy together, but she also looks a little psychopathic while doing it? If she wasn't taking the pills, why would she fake side effects? Especially the one that makes her imitate yoonhee. I would understand if she was trying to take down seojin, but she says she's doing it for her, so what is the truth? Did she take a little of the pills at the beginning then stopped? Did she really forget yoonhee's death? When she was in the hospital, she was horrified by what seojin did but now she wants to make her forget so they can be happy? I don't get it!!
#sbs penthouse#the penthouse#this episode didn't really flow? i feel like they just put scenes in a random order and there was a lot of unnecessary exposition#like i don't need yooncheol telling me teacher jin is crazy i already know that#or logan narrating suryeon's plan and motives

Flower of Evil Thoughts- Episode 9
First of all.. THE PREGNANCY FLASHBACK!!!! UGHHHH!!!! The beginning of the episode was just a HARSH slap in the face with that flashback... I got very emotional when the episode only just STARTED!!! Knowing what we know now, and how our couple currently stands just hurts so much... Their new house all decorated with lights by him, the bit where he feels Eunha kick and is so surprised by what he's feeling, and then holds her tummy and talks to their baby and his awkwardness and unsure of what to do or what to say was so beyond precious... my gosh. But seeing him talk so softly to his unborn baby, about something as simple as just hanging up wallpaper made me just... He's so careful and so gentle, and just... it HURTS. He's learned so much from her. Even though he may not understand it. It's the most precious and yet bittersweet thing. He really IS just doing everything for her. He just wants her to be happy and at peace with her life with him. I truly believe this. Even down to cooking her favorite meals because he knew she'd be craving them. My heart just is just pounding and aching for them.
OKAY the way that Hyunsoo pulled off that he was just helping Kim Moojin with something was pretty smooth, I'll give him that. Especially when he says the "Was this supposed to be a secret meeting?"He's so CAREFUL around his wife in every aspect he can be. Even down to deceiving her. Noona, you're such a sweetie but you just said a bit too much there lol. And I love how Hyunsoo instantly jumps to "Get my wife coffee and put something sweet in it." This man KNOWS his woman, and you can't tell me he doesn't. He probably knows her better than anyone, no matter how much these two deceive each other. They trio is sure being careful as best they can with the detective who's handling this case, aren't they? Carefully deceiving, even Noona is in on the deceptive stuff. Question is, how long can they keep this up?
OMG... the real Heeseong... he's awake. Dear lord, he's a wake. And trying to speak. Saying "Mom" and shedding tears. I feel sorry for him. What exactly did she do to him??? Why is he telling her it's not her fault?? What happened to put him in a coma??? And he REMEMBERS!? He remembers the person (Hyunsoo) he hit!? Do you think he even has a clue about anything or did he get put in a coma the night of the accident???
So is it a good thing or a bad thing that Jiwon can have the sound in the background of the tape analyzed?? Hmmm... And here comes Jiwon's questions that are rather loaded toward Noona. As soon as Jiwon suggests that accomplice could be Hyunsoo, Noona was quick to jump to his defense and stating that he is not the accomplice. She knows her brother. She knows what he would and would not do. Noona knows that Hyunsoo would never be capable of being their father's accomplice to murder.
Jiwon to Haesu: "I feel like the Hyunsoo you know is very different from the one I know."
You know what? He IS, Jiwon. You've taught him love and how to care for others asides from himself. Even though he may not understand his emotions and his feelings, you've taught him love, and you gave him a real family of his own that he protects and wants to keep in tact and safe. He gets so incredibly nervous every time you mention Do Hyunsoo because he so desperately does not want to lose what he has with you. That's why he keeps having anxiety and panic attacks. That's why he keeps clutching at his chest. That's why he struggles to keep his cool when you bring up that name around him. That identity that he does not want. He might have the ability to relate to others as the therapist said, but I've never seen him as the manipulative type of good people, and not for one moment do I believe he's tried to manipulate Jiwon at all.
The therapist that was convinced how he'd behave as an adult is a crock. Trying to make him out to be this truly terrible person before he's even old enough to really make adult decisions for himself? No. Just no. And why is Noona so quick to protect him once more? Saying Hyunsoo did not kill that dog? What does Noona know? Jiwon questions Noona wanting to know who did. She tells Jiwon it's obvious who did that, and the look on Hyunsoo's face screams that he's innocent, that Noona KNOWS. As soon as Jiwon brings up Do Minseok's name, and once again the look on Hyunsoo's face suggests to me that Do Minseok either MADE his son do these horrible things or he made his son watch and then forced his son to say he did these things during therapy. Did he use his own child in that manner in order to appear innocent hence the surprise from everyone that he's a serial killer? My god this poor man...
I REALLY think I'm not far off with the theory that Do Minseok made Hyunsoo do and say that he did terrible things or forced Hyunsoo to watch him do terrible things. I said it last week and I'm saying it again, because now we have Noona saying this too and seemingly confirming it. When Jiwon questions why would Hyunsoo say he did something that Do Minseok did, and you can just feel the trauma radiating off of Hyunsoo right there... was he punished if he didn't? WHAT the hell HAPPENED to this man when he was just a child!? It would seem Noona has no idea why though and why he'd take the blame for the terrible things their father did... or maybe she DOES know but is choosing not to say it so as not to bring up too much past trauma for Hyunsoo.
Haesu in general has so much trauma of her own, so much guilt and so much pent up pain... She WANTS people to know the truth. She wants them all to know that SHE killed the village foreman and NOT her brother, but Hyunsoo dives into protective brother mode to keep his Noona's secret safe once more by dumping a full cup of coffee all over Moojin's laptop (HA HA HA ASS YOU DESERVED IT AFTER ALL YOUR BS) Lmao Moojin wants to be alone with his laptop. *snorts*
Hyunsoo, I have to ask, why are you so caring and gentle with your family but can't even recognize your own emotions? Even to the point of you put your wife's seatbelt on for her because she's too shaken by everything to remember to do it herself? He really didn't like hearing that Jiwon doesn't tell him everything either. You could see he was unsettled by her saying that, but tries to brush it off. He's feeling something is off and has for a bit, but I feel he's in some kind of denial and trying to believe that everything is just fine when clearly it's not.
Hmmm do you think Noona will try and undergo hypnosis? If she does and she remembers who the accomplice was... and then if Hyunsoo doesn't need her anymore, what does she mean by she'll do what she should've done but didn't? Does she mean turn herself in? Does she mean something worse...? I'm actually REALLY afraid for her. I don't know why, I've been feeling this way for a couple of episodes now, but I just have this unsettling feeling that something bad is going to happen to her. I'm not sure what to think about her right now. There are so many questions I have raised about this girl. I hope she doesn't try to do anything... I don't know. She's just so SAD and full of emotional turmoil.
Jiwon is bringing up all kinds of old memories for Hyunsoo constantly talking about this case. He almost hits a group of people walking across the street and then notices that Jiwon isn't wearing her ring. She tells him that she got used to having it off and it's the first flicker you see from him where he looks almost hurt. Like why? She's never taken her ring off before. Why would she remove it now? What's going on? He's so confused and isn't understanding why Jiwon is being so strange, maybe even a bit cold toward him. It's hard watching this... I know what she's doing and it's not what he wants. If only she knew more and understood...
OH LOOK, it's the unfather being a shady piece of shit again. He took care of everything? What exactly does he mean by that? He took care of everything? You mean forcing an innocent man into an identity with the threat of if he didn't take it, he'd be thrown in jail because you'd get fired and lose your position in the hospital so you're salty enough to push that identity on him to keep your position safe? What a piece of garbage excuse for a human being. He was busy? That's why did not answer his phone for his only son? Busy doing WHAT? "That life can be yours too" uhhh??? He BETTER NOT try ANYTHING or do ANYTHING to hurt Hyunsoo and take Jiwon and Eunha away from him and try to give them to his real son... OMG I will RAGE.
Hyunsoo really is the ideal husband. He's truly an amazing caretaker. Raising their daughter while Jiwon works hard, works at his own business and makes enough to care of his family and hold his own, is one hell of a cook and is such an amazing father to his baby girl. He set up all kinds of lights, decorations and everything to celebrate 5 years in their home. Even if he does carry a fake name, this is him. This is who he is. He isn't ANYTHING that the world has painted him into. At all. I just wish with all my heart that Jiwon would know and understand this. I want her to know that he struggles and doesn't understand these feelings. He doesn't know what he feels is love for her and for Eunha. She's more focused on "I never once felt that way" rather than "I don't know what kind of feeling that is."
They way he said this and the way she perceives it are two majorily different things. She thinks he's "manipulated" her with fake love, but he hasn't... He doesn't know the feeling of love because he's never been taught or shown that kind of feeling... I noticed how the scene between Hyunsoo and Noona how soft his voice is when he answers he he doesn't love her, he never felt that way because he does not understand the feeling. However, how Jiwon remembers it, it comes across sharper and much more cold. Jiwon likely remembers it sounding this way because of her heartbreak and her own anger and frustration over him. Like I said, she's more focused on the fact that he said he doesn't love her, rather than focused on the fact that he does not understand the feeling of love, he doesn't know what kind of feeling it is. Jiwon... I hope you learn. I hope you understand and know. He does love you, he just doesn't understand it or acknowledge that this is what it is.
Jiwon is so back and forth that it's rather unsettling at times, but I know she's hurt. I know she's brokenhearted and in pain. I just don't really like the inconsistency in which she's being written at times, but Moon Chaewon sells it beautifully so it's acceptable. Which speaking of Jiwon, she receives the voice recording again after the static is removed and there's a 2nd man's voice. "Would you like an ashtray?" And here we go into another flashback of Hyunsoo's. He and his father at a bar and the bartender offering the father an ashtray and we find out the source of the sound! It's the bartender chipping ice! And a man walks by, pretends to knock his father's coat to the floor and this is how Minseok gives the man, the ACCOMPLICE, his car keys! Sooooo, Hyunsoo HAS seen the accomplice very briefly! He may not have been able to get a good look at his face, but OH SHIT he has seen the accomplice and never realized what he was witnessing at the time! And this gets Hyunsoo enough to the point that he doesn't realize he's standing up now because he's figured something out, and that makes Jiwon eye him warily.
The next scenes BROKE MY HEART okay? Absolutely BROKE MY HEART SO MUCH. The couple stands at the sink washing dishes, Jiwon is drying them and she seems incredibly distant, like she's not all there. She's been this way since dinner, because he even questions her if his cooking and little family celebration isn't pleasing her. Hyunsoo knows something is going on with his wife. He tells her she's been forcing laughter these days, and encourages her to talk to him and tell him what's going on. He wants to know what's wrong. He wants to help her. This is the 2nd time now he's trying to get her to talk to him. She tells him, she must not feel the same about him anymore (MY HEART CLENCHED! NOOOOOO!!!), and he stops completely what he's doing, shuts the sink off and you see that he's shaken by her words. She tries to stay cold with him, acting indifferent, saying they've been together for 14 years and that her feelings can't stay the same for him, and he questions why the abrupt change. But why can't her feelings stay the same?? I've been with my husband for 18 years and my feelings only grew, so that notion from Jiwon is ridiculous.
And Jiwon wants to know if he feels the same about her as he did all those years ago. His eyes searches hers, and I truly truly believe he answered honestly. "Yes, I do." I think he knows that he's ALWAYS felt something for this woman, he just doesn't recognize what those feelings are, but she matters SO MUCH to him. It goes so much deeper than what has been shown. He's always trying his best to keep her happy and keep her pleased. In the best way that he knows how. He goes so over the top for her because nobody ever did this for him, he's really never been taught this so he's learned. He takes it upon himself to do these things for her because she matters deeply to him. You can tell he's saddened and shaken by her coldness.
He tries to brush it off by saying she works too much, she's too stressed, she's always in danger and she never gets enough sleep. She tells him that she's been wondering these days how she'd live if they break up and you see pain flicker in his eyes. You can see that this is hurting him. Whether he realizes it or not, it's hurting him. Jiwon snaps at him telling him not to talk to her as if he knows everything about her. Oh but honey, he does... maybe not as of late, but he knows you like the back of his own hand. Stop projecting. You know a lot more about him too than what you think, you just don't even realize it yet. The harshness of her words, the cruelty and coldness behind them of does there have to be a reason to fall in love and then not being a reason for falling out of love with him. *clutches heart* IT HURTS SO BAD.
And she's crying. Bullshit. You've fallen out of love with him? Bullshit. You can't fool me on this one. You can claim you don't like him anymore, that you don't like anything about him, but that's an outright lie. It's so hard watching her and hearing her say these things to him... and leaving him utterly shellshocked and wanting to know why. The way he delivers that soft "Why?" just hurts so much... This man who's bent over backward for her the entire time they have been together, this man who's done everything for her, and all she can say is she hates seeing him try so hard for her? What the HELL Jiwon??? Okay, I get why you're doing this. You said your last gift to him was they would break up and part ways as Baek Heeseong and Cha Jiwon, but this is NOT WHAT HE WANTS. THIS IS NOT A gift to him! You are HURTING him. I get that you are hurt too, I understand your pain, but how is this making ANYTHING right??? How is trying to hurt him making any of it okay? And you tell him you hate him while crying? Jiwon, stop it. You're not doing him or yourself ANY favors.
His voice is trembling, his breathing is uneven, he's starting to feel something. This is his worst fear. Losing his life. Losing her. He doesn't understand why she's doing this to him. This man can't feel emotions, my ass. Yes, he can and he's sad, hurt and confused, whether he recognizes this or not because he's always done everything for you, Jiwon. Good luck finding someone else to do the things he's done for you and be a husband like him. When he says "I don't understand." It's so painful to watch... because he really doesn't. He's so lost right now, and he needs to understand. Why you're being this way toward him and why you'd suddenly change your feelings. You hate seeing him eat? My god... he's a person. He has to eat. He's stricken by all of this, he is just so desperate to fix it. He'll do anything for you. And you're going to tell me he doesn't love you? Jiwon, focus on his last sentence to Noona. "I don't know what kind of feeling that is." Not the "I never once felt that way." Jiwon, for goodness sake, teach him. Help him. Instead of doing this to him. I'm so tired of watching bad things happen to this man knowing that he's innocent...
"What could be more important than us right now?"
He loves her. He loves her SO MUCH, and he doesn't even realize it. Jiwon is his life! And all she can do is bring up all of Minseok's victims. Okay, woman, for real. You KNOW your husband WAS NOT the accomplice to those murders, so why the hell are you bringing this up to him now and why is this his fault?? All he can do is tell her she did nothing wrong, but Hyunsoo NEITHER DID YOU!!! You did NOTHING WRONG!!! And you knowing nothing about them, I get that this is some kind of metaphor for not knowing anything about Hyunsoo, I get that, but even if you do feel this way about those victims, it's not his fault. She tells him that he can't help her forget all those terrible cases, not anymore and he looks devastated... I mean my heart is physically aching for him at this point...
And what does he do? The first thing he does is go to the only person he can think of, someone he might have once considered a friend, Moojin. He reaches out to him and Noona about his wife falling out of love with him because he's lost... he's confused, he's frustrated and he doesn't understand why or how this could happen. He needs help, he needs advice. What can he do to make it better? All he wants to do is fix it. He is literally reaching out for help in regards to his marriage. This is his life. Nothing else even matters except for Jiwon. He needs to know what to do and how to make it better. He's so desperate to fix it. Moojin chides him for waking him up over his relationship, and all Hyunsoo can say is that he's serious. He feels way more lost than he did after Nam Soongil stabbed him... oh oh my baby... oh honey... my heart is literally BREAKING for you. T_T He's so lost... he's so sad... He even calls Noona for help likely referring to it as an emergency as she comes in to ask what the emergency is... omg. I can't even with this.
Hyunsoo is realizing that he CAN feel things. He may not fully understand nor recognize his emotions and what he's feeling, but he CAN feel. He feels lost. He's hurting because he loves his wife. He needs her. He's so desperate to fix it and make it right. He'll do whatever it takes if it brings her back to him. He's experiencing a broken heart without even realizing that this is what it is. He loves his wife so much that he'll do anything to make it right. Moojin sure can be a cold jerk, but Noona genuinely wants to help her brother because she can see how lost and sad he is. Moojin is also an idiot too when it comes to women. Is he serious right now? I mean, I admit his attempts made me laugh, but c'mon man... You NEVER tell a woman "you have menopause." I'd straight up bitchslap someone if they said that to me.
But Hyunsoo... catch the accomplice? Oh sweetheart... I know you love, Jiwon. I know you need her. I know you don't want to lose her, but the accomplice??? It's not even about finding out who the accomplice is anymore to protect himself... it's about finding the accomplice because it'll make her really happy. Now he's willing to throw himself into serious danger because he believes if he finds the accomplice it'll bring her back to him? Hyunsoo, listen to Noona. She is right. Jiwon is precious to you. You are doing this because Jiwon is precious to you.
And because of Jiwon's harsh and cruel words, you are hurt because those words came from your precious person. Noona speaks words of wisdom. Something that is precious hurts you as time passes by. She's not wrong. Hyunsoo, Jiwon is so precious to you and you are hurting because of that fact. The issue with Jiwon was even more important than telling them you think you know where the sound on the voice recording came from. Because you're hurting. Because that's your wife.
We see him in his car stop from turning the music on, and instead gets his phone and sends his wife a text. "Did you eat something?" Even after her cruelness, he's still concerned for her wellbeing. He scrolls through a series of playful and sweet texts between the two of them, and all he can do is slouch down his seat and close his eyes painfully. This is really affecting him more than he's letting on. It hurts watching him hurt.
Speaking of hurt, I'm REALLY worried about Haesu... she has very obvious depression and mental illness problems as well. It seems she harbors A LOT of guilt. She killed a man, even though it was in self defense, she still killed a man. And the fact that her brother is taking the blame, like he's always taken the blame for EVERYTHING it seems, that has torn her apart as well, she cries all night long, she doesn't come out of her home for days, she keeps her lights off, and has insomnia... like she tells Moojin. She's broken. And she is. She is broken, Hyunsoo is damaged. Someone for the love of all things cheese please get these siblings some real help and therapy. God knows they need it.
OKAY WOW. WOW. The memory of Hyunsoo with his father at the bar... he recognizes the tattoos on the man's arm, and the PEN. He's started to figure out how he's getting closer and closer to his father's accomplice... When the father brings up giving it as a gift for giving him nice, raw material... does he mean people??? Does he mean the victims??? Is this how Do Minseok was able to get his victims to perform these killings with his accomplice??? Some raw materials that are too risky to obtain himself??? OMG this man is TWISTED. His son asks like what, and all he can do is say he'll wonder what kind of face he'll make if he shows him??? Did Hyunsoo EVER see his father's victims?? Did he ever realize how genuinely screwed up his father was? "When the look in your eyes and your skills are more ripe." HERE IS MORE PROOF THAT HE WAS TRYING TO MOLD AND GROOM HIS SON INTO BEING JUST AS SICK AND TWISTED AS HE WAS. I'M DISGUSTED...
Hyunsoo, I love the lengths you're going to for Jiwon's happiness, I really do, but I don't love this... this is too much. You're getting yourself into some serious danger here that you might not be able to get out of... Sure you could fight off just the one man, who is what... considered a third party to your father and the accomplice? I know you're desperate to find out who it is, but I am really really worried for you... these people are dangerous, considering one is a serial killer's accomplice...
Jiwon and her team come up with a clever plan of trying to get a lead on the accomplice by having her pose as Jung Misook looking for a "job." So it's essentially a sting operation. I gotta give her props for being able to pull off like she's just some little girl looking for work. Okay, so they're thinking a third party lured the victims for the accomplice, lured them into a trap and then the accomplice took them to Do Minseok so he could torture and murder them, which they're believing the lurer is this woman? Hmmm... a human trafficking business??? So it's those thugs from last week, is it? I'm worried about In Seo, that little boy from the first episode... That situation is very concerning. If they're running a human trafficking business and are selling people, then that little boy is in serious danger, that is if he hasn't been sold already. Hyunsoo, you are bold, baby... very bold. I know you're desperate to find him, but this is not a good situation nor are these good people to involve yourself with...
Okay, so WHO did the real Heeseong need to meet??? He remembers he was going to meet with some person. Is he involved in any of this mess? And now we have the unfather with that phone and the accomplice's phone number in it once more, why?? How are they connected to this??? I'm still trying to figure it out. I gotta think on these two for a bit.
Hyunsoo, you are in a BAD situation and you have GOT to get out of there these men SHOULD NOT know your real identity! They WILL use it against you!!! Jiwon, you're not in a much better situation AT ALL. I do love the parallel of Hyunsoo and Jiwon both going through open doors into a potentially dangerous situation. Is this older woman insane? Wait don't answer that... Jiwon catches her, cuffs her and the crazy lady is trying to climb out the window while cuffed!? Are you in THAT deep that you're trying to climb and jump balconies while cuffed to get away from the cops? And instead of getting away, she falls... yep. She falls. Jiwon leaves just for a moment to open the door for her team, makes an honest mistake, the crazy lady falls and doctors don't know if she'll make it. And you can tell Jiwon is wrecked by this. She doesn't want anyone to die, naturally. Especially because of her.
Now Hyunsoo is bargaining these men with money!? I KNEW he should not have went in there. He was wreckless and TOO confident. They're threatening him, going to give him to the accomplice rather than give the accomplice to him! And poor Jiwon... she's getting yelled at and berated by her boss. Watching her team defend her though was sweet. I love their dynamic and have since the beginning. And then he starts yelling about the Hwang lady dying? Jiwon is already feeling guilty enough as is, Chief... lay off a bit. She's a human being. Even though she's a cop, she's not perfect. She makes mistakes sometimes too. She steps outside and this is how you KNOW she still loves her husband. Because she remembers all the times when she had a hard day and he was there to cheer her up and make her feel better. She opens her phone to all of his texts she's missed.
"Do you feel better?" "I noticed you didn't eat breakfast." "Is there anything you want?" "Why don't we start exercising together?" "Did you eat something?"
And his last one "Jiwon. I feel so frustrated. I want to talk to you. I can't wait for time to pass by. I want time to pass by... so we can both have the same memories. And eventually, I want to think and feel just like you."
He wants to think like she does, he wants to be able to FEEL in the same manner that she does. He wants to understand. He wants to know how to recognize those feelings, he wants to know how to think like she does. He WANTS to be normal, he WANTS normalcy and he wants his wife to be the one to continue teaching him these things...
And now we're in the flashback again where Jiwon asks Hyunsoo if there's anything he wants from her because she's always receiving from him. Don't tell me for a moment he does not feel anything for this woman, the way he takes her hands in his and says "Don't ever change. You just need to keep loving me like you do right now. All I need is your trust. If you do that for me, I'll live my entire life just for you." Oh my heart... that's why he doesn't want to lose his life he has now, Jiwon. You realize this right??? It's because of YOU.
All she can do is cry and say she misses him. It's okay, Jiwon. I'm crying right along with you because this HURTS.
And now these thugs are beating Hyunsoo up and getting ready to try and drug him!? Oh Hyunsoo... I know you needed some quick thinking here, but telling them you'll be their client too?? Telling them you're just like your father? AND DID I CALL THIS OR WHAT. These disgusting human disgraces are HUMAN TRAFFICKERS!!! They SELL people!! And then Jiwon calls... she wanted to hear his voice, she had a bad day and he was the first person she thought of. She loves her husband so much and when he answers her replies by saying he's busy, at first it seems cold, but then Jiwon recognizes with those amazing detective instincts of hers that he's in a dangerous situation which is why his replies are so short.
Trust him, just like your flashback of him asking you to trust him. He's not in a safe place right now, and she knows. She knows he's not in a good situation, hence her questioning if he needs assistance... and then she tells him he has one hour to come back to her... she wants him to come back her. No. She NEEDS him to come back to her!! She says "I miss you" to him. And you can see by the subtle flicker in Hyunsoo's eyes that he's moved by her words and now all he wants to do is get to her.
I don't think it's over yet for this couple. I think there's hope for them, because they NEED each other. More than anything. Especially now. I'm so shaken by this episode and ready for tomorrow. Ready. Bring it on. Bring on MORE pain. It's coming. I know it's coming.

hello there my dudes, it’s your local dumb bitch jamie. to any newer members that don’t know me i’m the mun of unity’s jaewon, charm’s yuanjun and gal.actic’s yena. the ones that do know me might have noticed my bitchass has been hella inactive lately but work has been kicking my ass and i had some exams to retake and the past weekend i’ve been in london and all around i’ve barely been alive. but i’m back now, so ya know, that’s nice. uh i updated a whole bunch of stuff to smoothly ease back into rp’ing so ya know get ready for a Long Update.
first things first i’m pretty low on plots and threads at the moment, which i’ve been since before hiatus tbh either way to battle that i completely reworked the plotpages of all my muses which you can find here: jaewon, yuanjun, yena (admittedly, little changed ab yena’s but cut me some slack). so if you wanna plot please like this post, send me an im or hit me up on d*sc*rd at: kim minji loving hours#5703 . of course, it goes without saying that even if we already have plots and you’d just like to get new threads going that’s more than welcome too.
speaking of threads, of the little stuff i had going i’m dropping most except for the things i think are still relevant to my muses (which is jaewon/ting, yuanjun/hyejung, yuanjun/romeo, yuanjun/hyunsoo and the texts between yuanjun/guanyu if recall correctly, might i be forgetting something you still wanna continue or have something listed you wanna drop please let me know)
on top of that i’m a little late with the event plot call but i really wanna join in on the fun still so i’m adding that on here as well. none of my muses are under goldstar but i am down for any backstage threads eventho i don’t have any really concrete ideas. as for the pool party, im gonna leave a few sentences per muse to give a feel of generally what kind of stuff could work for them but i’m down for anything really. jaewon: tbh jaewon is still ur local boring dad, he won’t really drink much cuz unity is around and he doesn’t like being drunk around the boys so he’ll mostly be keeping to himself, keeping an eye on others making sure no one fucking dies stuff like that, he’s also gonna refuse to even so much look at the pool so trying to get him to swim will be to no avail. yuanjun: he isn’t rlly much of a partier cuz he’s baby but... he could be tbh like he doesn’t have a lot of experience with drinking (and his tolerance is shit) but someone,, come corrupt my tiny son,,, give him a few drinks and enjoy a lovely loud clingy giggly drunk xiao yuanjun. oppositely, someone helicopter parents his bitchass and snatch any drinks away from him before he goes stupid goes crazy. yena: speaking of going stupid going crazy,,,, yena is even gonna show up drunk, she’s that dramatic bitch, she’s here to get fucked and start shit and looked hot. so someone try to berate her ass, someone come party it up w her, someone let themselves get corrupted, anything goes as long as its Wildt or Dramatic or both
ok that’s enough of this novel of an ooc post, i love u all and i’m gonna shut my trap now, peace out bitches.

👀 how long do you think the human race will last before extinction? 👀 who are your celebrity crushes? 👀 what is the one thing jihae could do that you'd never forgive?
“not too damn long i can tell you that. i wish it would be by something cool like i don’t know aliens or something, that would be lit but that won’t even get to happen. you know why? because climate change is real and we’re killing our planet at a rapid pace.”
“all of the industry. i mean, have you seen how handsome everyone is? i’m truly just a tiny gay surrounded by beautiful men every day. but uh most notably i’d have to say all of knight specifically guanyu-ge, all of decipher, specifically kwan-hyung, jinsun-hyung but that was way back, romeo-hyung and joosung-hyung. oh and you know, kim hyunsoo but that’s more a crush than a celebrity crush. yeah i think that’s about it- uh- jihae sweetie don’t forget i love you yeah.”
“i… don’t know actually. i’m sure there are things out there that would definitely have me drawing the line but it just, depends on the circumstances as much as the instance. like the obvious answer would be if he were to cheat on me or something but like, i don’t know if i necessarily would? odds are i would but i can also imagine depending on other factors that i wouldn’t? bad example maybe because jihae is incredibly unlikely to ever cheat, not because everyone wants to assume that about their partner but because i know he isn’t all that interested in sex outside of the intimacy aspect of being with someone he cares about. either way what i’m trying to say is i’m sure there is stuff jihae could do that would cause me to break up with him but there is so much that weighs in on that so there really aren’t any examples i can name right now. let’s just hope it doesn’t come to that yeah?”
#fmdtaeyong#*:・゚♕– «dont ask if i’m okay» // ask memes.#//thank you beth cuz w ur first question you inspired an entire college au environmentalist/activist yuanjun concept and its truly beautiful#//but also ok thats a wrap on ask memes ill stop spamming the dash

A 707 Fanfiction #6 – It’s Supposed to be A Surprise
A/N: Seven wants to surprise MC for her birthday. Written from 707′s POV. And I named the main character “Hyunsoo”. Wrote this as a birthday gift from me to me lol, and it’s a bit longer than my other mysme works (around 2600 words).
Seven had planned for this day for months. Every step, every detail of the way had been planned and spread out in his mind so thoroughly it’s like checking things off an imaginary list.
First, he had Zen and Yoosung pick up Hyunsoo and take her somewhere. He had parked his car a few ways away and hid himself in the trees outside the apartment. He had seen Zen and Yoosung enter the apartment and waited for a good half hour before they came out with Hyunsoo tagging along—albeit a bit warily.
“Where are we going?” he heard her ask them.
“It’s a surprise,” Yoosung said with a beam.
Hyunsoo bit her lip and looked at them suspiciously. “You’re not going somewhere weird, are you?”
Zen barked a laughter. “We’re not Seven, so rest assured,” he said. He turned on his heels so suddenly that Hyunsoo almost crashed into him. Zen held out a hand and steadied her. Once she regained her bearing, he stood straight and said in a deep voice, “Today is our princess’s birthday,”—he made an exaggerated bow—“We are at your service, madam.”
Hyunsoo laughed. Seven watched as she followed Yoosung and Zen down the driveway and to an awaiting car—Jumin’s car that they had borrowed for the day, including his Driver Kim, who only came with them under Jumin’s order. Zen entered the passenger seat while Yoosung and Hyunsoo entered through the back door. Seven could still hear their voices until they shut the door and the car moved away and disappeared around the bend.
But Seven didn’t move until he was sure he couldn’t hear the sound of the car’s engine anymore. Once he was sure they were gone, he picked up his bag and bearings and entered the apartment.
Seven knew Hyunsoo’s apartment like the back of his hand. He had monitored the place every day when Rika was still there and he had monitored it again in those early days after Hyunsoo first joined them. And now, entering the password of the apartment, he heard the click of a lock and gingerly opened the door.
The apartment was as clean and tidy as he’d seen it through the CCTV. Seven immediately dumped all of his stuffs at the living room and began sorting out through all the decorations he’d bought. It was still 8 AM and he had ten hours to get everything ready. It was more than enough.
So, blasting his music through his laptop, he began to work.
Setting decorations wasn’t hard and it was coming along nicely, as Seven had prepared some of them back home. He set the HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Hyunsoo banner hanging on one wall. Then he took out the photos he’d printed and set on strings vertically and he hung them on either side of the banner. He pumped blue balloons, red balloons, green balloons, yellow balloons, and cat-shaped balloons and set them around the apartment along with more photos on a string.
And after a few hours, Seven looked up and around and knew Hyunsoo would love the surprise waiting for her when she got back home.
Now, all he needed to do was bake the cake.
This was the hard part as he had no experience baking a cake. Sure, he could make simple things like sandwich or cookies, but 707 had never baked a cake before. Yoosung had offered his help time and time again ever since Seven told them of the surprise he was planning, but he had always refused.
He wanted to be one to make it, no matter how many times he had to redo it.
So Yoosung gave him a recipe for a chocolate cake with written instructions of what he should do.
He was an agent. He had infiltrated places and disguised himself as various people. Baking a cake should be no problem.
So he set his jacket aside, put on an apron he had found in the closet, and began working.
But oh, how wrong he was.
Baking a cake was a problem.
And Seven didn’t know what the problem was.
He had followed the recipe per se. He had followed Yoosung’s instructions one step at a time. But when he took the cake out of the oven the first time, it came out burnt.
Seven frowned.
“Okay, it’s only my first try and I still have time,” he told himself.
Good thing he’d brought ingredients enough to make multiple cakes as he had seen this coming.
So Seven began making a second cake, setting the burnt one aside.
But the second one came out the same and he wanted to scream in frustration. He looked at his watch—only three hours left. He still had time. But what if he failed again? Maybe he should just buy a cake. That would save him the trouble and he’d still have time to set everything in place.
Seven was still contemplating what he should do, head hung low, propping himself against the table counter, when he heard the click of a lock.
Seven’s head snapped up.
Who is it? Jumin? Jaehee? No, they don’t have the password to this apartment.
Hyunsoo?
Seven’s heart beat went up.
They shouldn’t be here yet!
He still had three hours to prepare!
Seven tore off his apron and threw it to the counter as he left the kitchen and closed the door.
“Come on, Yoosung, stop playing around,” a voice unmistakably to be Hyunsoo’s came from the apartment’s entrance. “I need to get inside.”
The living room was still a mess. Hyunsoo couldn’t come in!
“W—We haven’t gone to the arcade yet!” Yoosung stammered, hysterically.
“We weren’t planning to go to the arcade.”
“We haven’t bought you presents!”
“You’ve bought me enough presents to last me a life time.”
“We haven’t—”
“Hyunsoo,” came Zen’s cool voice. “Come on. It’s your birthday. The least you could do is give us the chance to give you the celebration of your life.”
And as Zen and Yoosung tried to persuade Hyunsoo to go with them to who knows where, Seven tried his best to clean up the place.
There was a pause outside. “The way I see it, you guys are hiding something in there,” Hyunsoo said. “And the only one I know who would blast their music this loud you could hear it down the hall is Seven,”—she was practically screaming at the door and he knew she knew he was inside—“so—”
Seven looked at his open laptop. Curse his idiocy!
He immediately ran to the entrance hall just as Hyunsoo managed to push past Yoosung, who had apparently blocked her way to the door. They stumbled inside just as Seven reached the hall.
Using a small remote he’d made, he pressed a button and turned off the music. The silence that fell was deafening and Seven didn’t realize he’d put his music volume too high again.
Hyunsoo met Seven’s eyes and she smiled. “So I take it you’re giving me the birthday celebration of my life?”
Seven scratched the back of his head. “The least you could do is play along if you already guessed that.”
“I really did leave my wallet here, you know,” she said.
“You could’ve borrowed their money,” Seven said.
“We were near here so I figured I’d just grab it for a second. I didn’t know you guys were actually planning something until I got off the elevator and heard your music.”
“That is so not true—” Yoosung began.
But Seven nudged his arm. “Yoosung, shut it.”
Seven winced.
“Okay, now you know. Tell me where your wallet is and I’ll get it for you. Then go with them and come back in three hours.”
Hyunsoo pouted. “But now that I’m here, I want to see what you did.”
“It’s not finished yet. You’ll get to see it later when you come back—” Seven was trying to herd Hyunsoo back to Yoosung and Zen who waited just outside the door, but Hyunsoo, being small and nimble, managed to free herself from Seven.
“Ah, don’t—”
But Seven was too late and Hyunsoo was out of reach and she’d reached the living room and he heard her gasp.
Seven frowned.
Yoosung sighed. “Sorry, hyung, the moment we tried to persuade her to just leave her wallet be, she got curious and we couldn’t stop her.”
“That’s okay. It’s not your fault.”
“Of course it’s not our fault, you blockhead,” Zen said, playfully smacking Seven at the back of his head. “Pick up your phone once in a while. You know how many times we tried to reach you?”
They’d followed Hyunsoo to the living room and Seven’s eyes fell on his cell phone just beside his laptop. A green light was beeping and yes, they had probably called him hundreds of times but he didn’t hear.
Hyunsoo suddenly squealed, surprising the boys, and Seven’s eyes followed her line of sight—the string of photos hung on the wall beside the Happy Birthday banner.
“This is the one we took when we went to the beach, right?” she said. “And oh! We took this one at the last party! Haha, Yoosung you look really cute here!” And she went on and on commenting on each photo and Seven couldn’t look away. The brightness in her eyes, her smile—everything about her always seemed to absorb him in and the next thing he knew, he was staring at her.
“Dude, you’re staring at her,” Zen said quietly to him, and Seven jerked, and shook himself.
“Ah, yeah, sorry,” he murmured. “Uh, so, Hyunsoo, where did you leave your wallet?”
But Hyunsoo wasn’t listening and she was already heading to the kitchen. “Why’s the door closed?”
Seven panicked, and before he could think, his body had already moved and wedged himself between Hyunsoo and the kitchen door.
“What the—?”
“You’ve seen the decorations, now find your wallet and go!” In his panicked state, he unconsciously shouted at them.
Hyunsoo blinked in surprise.
Seven gritted his teeth and shut his eyes. “Sorry, Hyunsoo, I didn’t mean to shout.”
“Are you making something for me?”
Seven’s face immediately went red and he didn’t know if it was because he had failed baking her cake two times and wonder how she would react when she found out about that, or because of the mere fact that he was making something for her.
He didn’t want to confirm either.
“You are, aren’t you?”
And damn his traitorous heart for beating so hard at that grin on her face.
“Let me have a look.”
“No!” he said firmly.
“Oh, come on!”
“It’s not finished.”
“That’s okay.”
“You’ll laugh at me.”
“I promise I won’t.” But she was already trying to hide her smile.
“See? You’re already laughing!”
“Okay, okay.” Hyunsoo took a deep breath and calmed herself. The teasing smile was gone from her face, but she was still smiling. “Okay, I won’t laugh.”
Seven bit his lip. The cakes were a disaster. There was no way he would show her those.
He heard a snicker and his eyes shot to the other two guys.
“And don’t you two laugh!”
“I’m not laughing!” Yoosung tried to defend himself.
“Yep, sorry,” Zen said, though he was still snickering, imagining what they would find in the kitchen. Zen cleared his throat. “Okay, yep, I’m done.”
And against his better judgment, Seven opened the door and stepped aside.
Hyunsoo, Yoosung, and Zen entered.
And neither of them spoke.
Then he heard another snicker.
“Yoosung,” Seven said with a death glare. Because it was Yoosung who snickered this time.
He coughed. “Uh, yeah, sorry.” He cleared his throat again.
“But seriously, what happened?” Zen asked, walking around the kitchen.
Because the kitchen was a mess even though Seven didn’t really do anything but follow Yoosung’s instructions.
“And what are these?” Zen asked again, staring at the burnt cakes near the garbage.
“What do you think?” Seven said sarcastically.
Zen touched the top of one of the burnt cakes and picked it up. It was so black and so hard Seven didn’t know where he messed up.
Yoosung sighed aloud. “This is why I offered to help you last night.” The younger boy stared at him. “Do you still want to make one?”
“I think we should just order one,” Zen said. “Can we even bake a cake in two hours?”
“We can!” Yoosung said with full conviction.
They all looked at Seven, but before he could reply, Hyunsoo had already clapped her hands.
“All right! Let’s make a cake!”
“Uh, no, birthday girl should wait outside,” Zen said.
“No, birthday girl wants to help you make a cake,” Hyunsoo said.
They had a brief staring contest before Yoosung clapped his hands once. “Okay! Birthday girl wants to make a cake, let’s make a cake with birthday girl.”
Hyunsoo struck a victory pose and Zen could only laugh. The two guys immediately went to clean the counter but Seven couldn’t move from his spot. When Yoosung asked if he still had ingredients to make one more cake, Seven vaguely pointed to the plastic bag at the corner of the kitchen.
It wasn’t until he felt Hyunsoo’s touch on his arm that he jerked.
“You okay?” she asked.
“Uh, yeah, I’m fine.” But he couldn’t meet her eyes. This should’ve been a surprise. And now here she was, helping him make her cake. What kind of boyfriend was he that he couldn’t even give his girlfriend a proper surprise party?
He felt her hand in his, their fingers intertwining. She tugged at his hand and he looked down and met her eyes.
“You don’t have to be good at everything, Seven,” she said quietly. “You’ve done plenty. The decorations are wonderful.” She smiled. “Thank you.”
She reached up and brushed her lips across his cheek.
Seven gave her a weak smile. “I wanted to surprise you. I already had this detailed plan in my mind. And I wanted to bake you a cake. But I failed.”
“You didn’t fail!” Hyunsoo told him firmly. “You didn’t, okay? Just thinking that you’ve prepared all of this for me is enough.” Seven still looked unsure, so she said, “You don’t have to do everything by yourself, you know? You have friends who want to help you. I want to help you.”
Seven looked away.
“Seven,” she called him. “Seven, look at me. Seven,”—her cool hand reached up to his face and she gently turned his head her way. “I love you, Seven, and that won’t change.” She smiled and his heart melted a little at that smile.
“I know,” he murmured, resting his forehead against hers. “I love you, too.”
Hyunsoo’s smile widened. “So no moping around, okay?”
Seven nodded. “Okay.”
Someone cleared his throat and both of them looked up.
“Are you done?” Zen asked, a slight irritation in his voice. “’Cause we need some help here.”
Seven grinned. “Jealous, Zen?”
“As if!” He grabbed a handful of flour from the bowl in his hands and threw it at Seven.
Seven laughed.
“No throwing food around!” Yoosung shouted over their laughter.
***
At six, the cat-shaped chocolate cake was finished. They’d even put ear-shaped chocolate at the top and drew eyes and whiskers and a mouth at the side. With Yoosung’s help, the cake was finished in no time and they still had time to finish up the decorations.
When the doorbell rang, Yoosung left to open the door, and he brought Jumin and Jaehee with him, both carrying wrapped presents.
They both stopped at the living room door, eyes wide at what they saw.
“I thought this was supposed to be a surprise party,” Jaehee said.
“Well, yes, plan’s changed and now Hyunsoo’s here,” Zen said. “Come on, let’s get this party starting!”

Just gonna lay out my thoughts here because it's been a while since I put down some kdrama metas and there's anything that I did write down on some of the prev shows I watched, those meta still stuck in the draft and I'm lazy to go back to them atm.
So have a Deluxe Taxi meta XD
To be honest, I'm pretty fine with how the drama concluded like... the whole thing started because of the murder of Mr Jang's parents that sparked the whole revenge taxi thing. And how the murder of Dogi's mum prompted Mr Jang to approach him. Like what great chance to have an ex-soldier helping out with your revenge project, right?
So to have his 'last' revenge request to be about the guy that indirectly started this whole thing then also turn out to be the real murderer of his mum seemed very apt. Cos I like the idea to give back the chance for Dogi to resolve his own trauma after helping other people with resolving their grudges and revenge request. And even from the beginning, he had some questions about the things he's been doing, so to see his relationship with Hana grew into an unlikely friendship (and perhaps even more after) felt really good. Like I'm not really fond of having our dark and broody hero being unable to free themselves from their dark past just for the sake of having the hero continue being dark and broody till the end. Let Dogi be happy! XD
Also, considering that the motto about not being consumed by evil and conquering evil through good/kindness kept popping up to our attention every chance we got, I don't find it strange to have the plot spiralled into having the heroes realising that maybe revenge and violence may not fully be the correct answer. To which the endgame with Oh Chulyoung and his son felt satisfying to me. I mean in the end, Mr Jang and Dogi decide not to be cruel to Dongchan/Hyunsoo and tried to help the kid instead, it didn’t turn out too well. (But at least they tried) Like that's a good outcome for that proud serial killer to inevitably hurt his own family. In which, that led the otherwise unmoved psychopath to actually feel the same thing as what he caused the family of his victims to feel. About time for Oh Chulyoung to receive punishment for his own actions, and his actions indeed brought ruin to himself. No amount of role-playing would save him now!
And I like the idea that Cho Jinwoo chose to resign and become a defence attorney. On one hand, he was able to protect Hana and another, he was then able to help Kim Chulmin in a way he couldn't do if he remained a prosecutor. I like that outcome of Cho taking it into his hand to right the wrongs from the past case. As in FINALLY, he did something of worth. Like he didn't just stop at apologising at the fact they couldn't do much as Kim's case had passed the statute. He actually WANTED to help Kim Chulmin clear his name/false indictment.
I like that that even the criminals that had been targeted for revenge got their own chance at retaliating at the Rainbow Taxi people. It made the story interesting tbh like things don't always go as planned. And just because the good guys did the bad law-breaking stuff doesn’t mean that they’re invincible/cannot be targeted back.
Honestly, if there's anything else that I wished we could see (aside from more HanaDogi scenes) was that I wished there was a case involving arson. Like specifically the guy that killed Mr Choi and Mr Park's younger siblings (among others) or a similar case. I mean, we have Goeun facing Choi Min as well as the Udata case, Dogi and Mr Jang with Oh Chulyoung... heck, even Hana had to deal with a case that hit her personally (Wang Minho’s death). So it would’ve been nice to have the team deal with a case that hits more personally to that two ajusshi. Of course, there’s that voice phishing case that affect Mr Choi, but it’s not like that case was a personal thing to Mr Choi... other than getting back his money.
But yeah, no real biggie tbh.
That aside, it would’ve been nice if we get to some more Hana backstory. I mean, I know that Hana was an original character that didn’t exist in the webtoon, but I am curious of what kind of experience Hana had prior that made her want to become a prosecutor (she did take an elite course to become one anyway) and what actually sparked her initial belief of thinking that the fist might be more useful than the law. I wanna see more of Weirdo Prosecutor/Gum-ddakji backstories XD
That said, I’m pretty happy with how the drama concluded. Like I’ve been wishing that in the end Hana and Dogi would end up working together properly, and we did get a hint of that (since I can’t really imagine Dogi the kind of person to stop helping people in need even after the revenge service was dissolved). And Esom did say that she’d like to take on Kim Dogi’s role and vice versa with Jehoon saying the opposite of wanting to play a character like Hana... and we kinda get that too (Hana raiding the motel and fighting people who resist arrest like Dogi would do, and Dogi finding that abandoned girl in the bag cos there's no way he could ignore people in need of help) so I’m just happy.

Random Merciless Stuff part 4
snow! It's winter!
Kim Sunghan enters prison. Dude from slap battle and two of his men bow down to him
in cell number 1 are prisoners with numbers 1362 and 544.
Hyunsoo shares cell with priest (Did they switch to be together? Did priest made that happen? Did Hyunsoo?)
Hyunsoo has tattoos on left upper arm and right side of upper back. On his back there is a scorpion and on his arm is some kind of angel?
Hyunsoo and priest have mirror, toilet paper, blue basket and cup with toothbrushes in their cell
Kim Sunghan's prison number: 1623
Jaeho's bunk in his cell looks like double bed (it's quite wide)
one of Jaeho's men prison number is 171
prison numbers of Kim Sunghan's people: 1620, 838, 419, 1212, 823, 681 (that bald guy), 875, 1782
also I think that in that scene where Jaeho makes Sunghan offer there are two dudes with number 419?
the one with number 823 is actually the dude who was in slap battle with Hyunsoo. He worked for Jaeho but now is with Sunghan
Sunghan reads "The Brothers Karamazov" by Fyodor Dostoevsky
the guy who worked for Jaeho and was tortured by warden name is Hoyeol
when Jaeho went for Hoyeol and accused warden of working with Sunghan he got beaten by three guards. One of them's uniform is more similar to warden and other two are more heavily armed. Also their uniforms are darker.
warden uses antibacterial spray after short struggle with Jaeho. He pulls spray from right pocket of his jacket
warden name is Byeon Jeong Gil (kor. 변정길)
slap fight during Sunghan's ruling is watched by five guards
Jaeho has bare feet in detention cell
during Sunghan ruling, his people sit around table on both sides. Number 823 aka guy slapped by Hyunsoo sits on Sunghan's right
knife attack probably takes place in spring, on a hallway in front of consultation room and meeting room. There is a printer and two phones in a hallway
Jaeho is attacked by prisoner 823 aka guy slapped by Hyunsoo aka Sunghan's right hand. His name is apparently Jungsik.
Hyunsoo hurts his left hand while protecting Jaeho

Long time lurker here making contact for the first time :) I would love to know more about the 'they-were-dating-before AU'. It sounds like a fun setting. If it's possible to ask about 2 WIPs, I would like to know about the Soulmate AU as well. (Soulmates are one of my favourite tropes and I remember your other Soulmate oneshot. I loved that a lot. Does Jaeho ever look away from his mark on his Hyunsoo?)
Hi! Thank you for sending ask!
You can send them as much as you want, I love talking about them and it motivates me to write. 😊
About 'they-were-dating-before AU' I had the idea ‘What if Hyunsoo and Jaeho knew each other before Hyunsoo went to jail?’ So I started rambling on discord. Here is a premise:
In other words, a year ago Hyunsoo is assigned to the traffic department and gives Han Jaeho a fine for speeding. The older man tries to flirt his way out of paying but Hyunsoo is unmoved. Yet when Jaeho asks him out on a date he agrees. Relationship starts. They don’t talk about their work. As far as Hyunsoo knows Jaeho is a businessman. He has some suspicions that it may be not exactly legal stuff, but he didn’t dig much into it.
Then one day Jaeho leaves and Hyunsoo finds out the truth by coincidence.
Chaos ensues.
So yeah it’s drama, a bit of identity porn and romantic comedy.
Soulmates are also one of my favorite tropes and I always wanted to write Soulmate AU. And that Soulmate AU is actually a continuation of that one shot you mentioned! (Thank you for reading 💕💕💕)
The file contains loose thoughts, sentences and how the soulmates work in that world. I like the idea that a soulmate mark stays forever, in the first place soulmates touch. So Jaeho can look at the side of Hyunsoo's face and see the beautiful red lines on the side of his face. And he gets this warm feeling that Hyunsoo is his.
I imagine they look something like this:
In the second part I wanted to write how their bond affects their time in prison. Hyunsoo is not sure what to do and Jaeho finds the concept of someone that is supposed to be a match for you ridiculous but he’s a bit curious.
And then Kim Sunghan appears.
There are some ideas there I just need to put them into words.😅
