Dohoon was exhausted. His entire body ached, and lying down on his bed under the blankets had never felt so good. He stretched his legs, hoping to ease the soreness while enjoying the warmth of the blankets on top of him. He shifted from his back to his side, face to face with your back.

“Are you asleep?” He asked in a whisper. You hummed tiredly and turned around to show your boyfriend that you weren’t quite yet. You liked to wait for him so that you could fall asleep together. Dohoon knew that and he smiled at the thought. 

“Are you ready for tomorrow?” You prompted softly, snuggling under the covers comfortably. Dohoon closed his eyes, his eyebrows furrowing as he thought about it.

“As ready as I can be… I guess.” 

“You prepared as much as you could for this. You always gave it everything you had— I watched you from the start.” You assured him, your eyes also falling shut from your tiredness. Sleepy conversations like this were always something you engaged in with Dohoon. It helped relax his racing mind and anxious thoughts, and it gave you the opportunity to catch up with him since most days were busy.

Dohoon hummed in response to you. You had been there from the very beginning, giving him your unwavering support in everything. He probably wouldn’t have made it this far if you weren’t there. He had needed that extra pillar to lean on. Knowing that there was always someone waiting for him— to comfort him and cheer him up, to encourage him and keep pushing him as well— it meant more than anything to him.

“Hey…” You shifted closer to him, knowing that his silence was a sign that he was thinking too much again. You wished you could give him a break from his thoughts; they always seemed to bring him more distress and worry than anything. But, if it wasn’t for his amazing brain, he would never have been able to get this far.

“You’re thinking again, aren’t you?” You mumbled, forcing your eyes open a tiny bit so you could look at him. You couldn’t help but be worried about your boyfriend. You only wanted the best for him.

“Always thinking.” He responded, welcoming you a little closer by pulling your wrist. You shifted to lay on his chest, your cheek resting against his heart.

It was racing again. And not because of you.

“I wish I could help more, baby…” You sighed, running your fingers over a small spot on his collarbone to relax him.

“I know. I’m sorry.” He whispered, his voice choking up slightly at the end. You hugged him tighter at the sound.

“Just try to get some sleep, Dohoon. Crying now will only stress you out. Cry after the showcase, okay? I’ll be there to hold you.” You promised him, placing a kiss on his neck, right over his small mole.

He listened to you, closing his eyes again and breathing steadily, using the breathing exercises that you had taught him when he first felt anxious. It was helping— the steady breathing, the feeling of having you close, your fingers that were still drawing circles on his warm skin. He relaxed eventually, drifting off into his dreams which proved much more pleasant than his waking thoughts.

HANDLE WITH CARE

“All done?” Dohoon asked as you stepped out of the bathroom, clad in your pyjama set that just so happened to match his. You definitely hadn’t taken note of the pair he had put on and gotten it out of your drawer instead of the original set you had.

“Yeah. All done except for my hair.” You answered with a smile, patting your hair with a towel.

“Come here, baby.” Your boyfriend said, setting down his phone on the bedside table, and getting out your comb that you kept in the drawer. He opened his arms and you gladly sat in front of him in between his legs. He took the towel from your hands, continuing to pat your hair with it until it was no longer dripping any water.

“I’ve only done this twice, so let me know if I mess up.” Dohoon warned, picking a section of your hair and starting to comb through it. Just like you had instructed days ago, he started with only a small piece at the bottom and slowly added more hair so as to not tug or break any strands. He was gentle and careful— more than you probably ever were with your hair. 

This whole after shower routine involving your boyfriend brushing and braiding your hair for the night had started just last week. He had watched how frustrated you had gotten with your hair, struggling to get out a stubborn tangle out, and out of the blue offered to do it for you. It was a bit chaotic at first, Dohoon met with a tool he had never had to use before on his own hair. But you guided him through it and even taught him how to braid it. He was quite good at it, though he doubted how well he was doing it.

It was a win-win situation, you soon discovered. Your hair finally escaped from your impatient brushing, definitely benefiting the health and longevity of it. And, Dohoon’s gentle brushing was like a massage. It was so relaxing that once you settled down into your boyfriend's arms to sleep, you were drowsy enough to fall into your dreams almost immediately.

“Your hair is so soft.” Dohoon commented quietly, brushing through a full section from your roots to your ends, feeling the silky strands in his fingers. “It smells good too.” He smiled, always enjoying any chance he got to smell your shampoo; a fresh citrus flavour that always drew him in. 

You closed your eyes, thoroughly enjoying the feeling as your boyfriend brushed out all the tangles, carefully sectioned your hair into 3 pieces, and braided them together. He was a bit awkward with putting on the elastic, but he eventually got it, securing the braid with care. He grinned once he finished, admiring his work carefully.

“I’m done.” He whispered, hands circling your waist. He squeezed you tightly and you laughed and fell back onto his chest.

“I love you.” You said sleepily, watching Dohoon’s lips form a smile and a little dimple below his eye make its appearance. 

“Can I kiss you?” He asked in response, cheeks dusted pink from your words. You nodded, turning around in his arms so you were facing him, gladly letting him kiss you. He hardly needed to ask at this point, there was never a time where the answer was no. But Dohoon was always cautious, wanting to make sure you were always comfortable around him. The fact that he did still ask every time made your heart swell in your chest, only making you fall deeper in love with him.

he loves that with you he can be himself without having to worry about being responsible for anything 

he’s so clingy he basically turns into a koala the second he gets home to you

back hugs all the time, you have to learn how to walk around with him attached

he loves to rest his head in your lap omg if you play with his hair he would melt

and don’t you dare stop once you start cause he will complain :(

he’s so soft for forehead kisses, he gives them to you all the time

he always checks up on you and he can read you so effortlessly

it’s almost telepathic you are so connected with him

if you tend to misplace your stuff a lot, he will always know where it is

dohoon always knows how to make things fun and exciting

he’s always looking for new things to try out and make new memories with you

whenever he has a day off he’ll go out with you whether it’s to a board game cafe, bowling, shopping, or even ice skating, he’s ready to try everything with you!!

you laugh all the time with him, it’s like there’s not a dull moment

he takes fashion so seriously so he’d definitely love to style you

shopping dates are his favourite!!

would beg you to try on different dresses and tops, anything he saw that he thinks would look good on you

of course you oblige him 

he loves matching outfits the most

he’ll take so many pictures of you two together with your couple outfits

he makes sure to not miss any of the accessories either

matching rings, matching bracelets, matching necklaces, he has everything

cause even though he doesn’t say it, he gets jealous easily and matching with you is a way for him to tell the world that you’re his

we all know he’s so shy and introverted, so while he loves to try new things, he also has a limit to it

if you wanted to do multiple things in a day outside he’d probably get so tired at the end

he also hates taking pictures outside he just feels so shy about it

even just a few encouraging words and a kiss from youngjae can make everything feel better

he can get so sassy out of nowhere— he’s not afraid to judge everything and everyone around him

even if he doesn’t say anything you can see it on his face

and he likes to gossip with you too he can’t help it

so you share all your girl tea with him and he gets so immersed in it

loves drama just as long as it’s not happening to him or anyone he’s close to 

he can’t stand it when things are stressful because of unnecessary drama, it just gives him a headache

hanjin makes life feel exciting for you

it’s not even an exaggeration in the slightest, when you’re with him you are always creating the most precious memories that you will remember years to come

he’s quite smart and responsible as he’s the oldest child in his family

he knows a bunch of random knowledge that you wouldn’t even expect from him

but i feel like he is quite chronically online so he learns a lot lol

he knows the best ways to cure headaches, he gives really good massages, i feel like he even studied how to kiss or flirt ksdksjs

we know he loves taking pictures but his camera roll is literally only you

he’s always taking pictures every single day, he just loves documenting everything!!

sometimes he’ll tell you to pose and he always gets the best angles and lighting

other times he’s taking candids which might be his favourite

he has pictures of you sleeping, he loves to tease you about how cute you look

whenever he compliments you he’ll fish for one back jokingly

but if you don’t give him one back he’ll get pouty and sassy too

but you just think it’s super cute

he literally has two moods either he’s the sweetest most romantic or he’s trying to annoy you in any way he can

probably become a little bit too addicted to pulling pranks on you or teasing you in any way he can 

seeing your reaction when he stole one of your lip glosses or scrunchies was a little too good because he started to step it up a bit further

but he took a little too far because he went for your food and that was where you drew the line

had to pay for all your food for a week after that but the boy learned his lesson

you still both enjoy a little harmless prank and you’ll think of ways to top him as well <3

and you both tease each other about everything

you’re always laughing together and are the brightest and most energetic when you’re around him

when he’s tired he gets so clingy 

even though he’s usually the vitamin and the energy for other people, he needs someone to give him energy as well

SHIN JUNGHWAN

everyone knows that you and junghwan are dating, so the occasion for anyone to try something is very low. but when it does happen, junghwan likes to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. if there’s a guy trying to talk to you and you look uncomfortable, he’ll simply walk up and slip his arm around your waist. if that doesn’t get the message across, he’ll kiss your cheek. it kinda shocks you because he’s normally shy when it comes to pda. but when he’s jealous, his shy demeanour completely goes away, fuelled by his jealousy and anger towards whoever was making you uncomfortable. he tries to act like nothing happened when you bring it up later, as if he wasn’t being extra touchy with you to scare off the guy sdksd. honestly he tries his best to say that he never gets jealous even though that’s just not the case. he’s cute when he tries to deny it though <3

KIM DOHOON

he hates the idea of confrontation and in a way he doesn’t want to… embarrass the other guy?? he knows it’s bad cause he’s ignoring his own feelings of jealousy but he just hates any conflict. so instead he'll go up behind you and tug on your shirt gently. and he communicates with his eyes until you get the message. from there, you smoothly end the conversation, and he helps a bit once you’ve gotten it started. he probably talks to you about it afterwards really pouty and sad like :( the feeling of jealousy is just the worst for him. he wishes he could’ve done more and been like one of those “cool” boyfriends </3 but you make sure that he knows he’s perfect, even though he’s such a people pleaser that he’s bad at setting boundaries. with some practice he’d get better at it, and more confident in standing up for himself and you. but most of the time, he chickens out in the moment. 

CHOI YOUNGJAE

he’s calm, usually just surveying the situation. he’s very focused on everything that is happening to you. the second he spots the guy talking to you going a bit too far or showing any flirtatious hints, he’ll be walking over to stop the situation. he knows you can handle it most of the time, but it’s just when there are guys who won’t take a hint no matter how obvious your disinterest is. he’ll politely shut them down for you, introducing himself as your boyfriend and asking what the guy’s relationship is to you. in the rare case that his glaring and sharp words aren’t enough, he’ll just remove you from the situation instead of trying to scare off the guy. he has little patience for anyone trying to hit on his girlfriend. but after, he will always check up on you before anything else, asking if you were uncomfortable or if he should’ve come over sooner :( he’s just the sweetest!!

HAN ZHEN

hanjin gets jealous so easily. he looks like the type who wouldn’t do anything about it but he does. he’s so possessive but he can’t help it. whenever he sees another guy talking to you, the only thing on his mind is how to get him away. the thing is, he’s not brave enough to kiss you right in front of someone else even though he’d like to. he’d probably make up some excuse that you needed to go instead, finding a way to drag you back with him and away from the guy. once he’s alone with you, that’s when he gets pouty and whiny, extremely jealous at the fact that you were laughing with someone other than him. you have to do your best to cheer him up, cause he’s not going to forget the uncomfortable feeling of jealousy for a while. he’s extra clingy afterwards because you’re his and he’s the only person allowed to hold you and kiss you </3

HAN JIHOON

he honestly can’t believe his eyes at the audacity of the guy talking to you. shamelessly flirting with you right in front of jihoon. he’s so quick to go over and stop it, but he’s really nonchalant about it. even though inside he’s kinda panicking because he’s not used to being jealous and overthinks things naturally. but in the moment he’s actually able to put an end to the situation so fast. he pulls you aside and he’s so cute he’s like “did you see how i scared him off?!” suddenly all the overthinking is gone and he’s just impressed with his own abilities. forgets he was even jealous tbh because he’s just proud of himself for how he handled it. he’s such a hyperactive cutie he would literally be jumping like so happy with himself <//3 but then his smile drops if you ask him if he was jealous. he gets a bit shy… but still he’d be glowing with pride especially if you also compliment him about it.

LEE KYUNGMIN

kyungmin has some lingering doubt in his head that he's never good enough for you :( so whenever he sees another guy talking to you that he thinks is probably more attractive than him, those thoughts increase a lot. he’s not really sure what to do— he’s scared to go up and try to get you away from him, he’s also scared of what will happen if he does nothing. in the end he’s just on the sidelines watching you with wide eyes, trying to read into your behaviour. of course, you notice, because you only have eyes for kyungmin. and you can tell something is wrong because he’s pouting even though he doesn’t realize it :( you’ll figure it out super quick and excuse yourself from the conversation to go check up on your boyfriend <3 it’ll take several months of getting confident in himself and himself as a boyfriend for him to be able to deal with jealousy situations by himself, but eventually, he’ll figure it out.

man… i’m ngl he’d just kiss you. not in a sensual way at all he’s not trying to take it anywhere but it’s just to distract you or make you stop talking. he loves listening to you talk don’t get him wrong, but you tend to talk a lot when you can’t sleep and the words aren’t always the most understandable. kissing junghwan would busy your brain so much that all you can think of is him and he knows this. plus he thinks it’s so cute how extra flustered you get when you’re tired. he could keep kissing you for hours without getting bored, trust him.

KIM DOHOON ﾐ 김도훈

he’ll make you food, whether you say you’re hungry or not. most of the time it’s ramen or something quick and easy. the smell of the food always lures you into having some, but on the rare occasion that you really don’t want to eat anything, dohoon will finish it himself. he definitely won’t leave your side or just let you be awake by yourself unless you want it. he might even go outside on a walk with you or to a convenience store to get a sweet treat or drink. little things to get your mind off of stressful topics is exactly what you need, and dohoon accomplishes that better than anyone.

CHOI YOUNGJAE ﾐ 최영재

he’d read you to sleep omg :( he always has book recommendations and his voice is so soothing and soft it’s like its own lullaby even though he’s not singing. you get really invested in the story since he read you a couple chapters, so whenever you can’t sleep again he’ll pull out the book again. you probably go through several books with you over the months. sometimes he’s too tired to read to you, so you have to just cuddle with him instead </3 listening to his steady breathing and heartbeat will eventually lull you to sleep as well.

HAN ZHEN ﾐ 韩振

insomnia means more kdramas to watch as far as hanjin is concerned. he’d feel so betrayed if you had started watching anything without him cause you couldn’t sleep. he’d rather you wake him up than watch without him dkdjsks <//3 so you get all cuddled up and put on one of the more relaxing dramas like one of those small town romance ones. playing with hanjin’s hair while you watch probably means he’ll fall asleep before you do, but most often you fall asleep almost at the same time. you wake up in the most uncomfortable position— hanjin all tangled on top of you.

shinyu would have a mission from the second he stepped foot on the sand: to be the best looking couple. you had bought matching swimsuits in the past and your boyfriend is excited to finally be able to wear them. he sets up a comfy beach blanket with an umbrella, making sure his princess has the perfect spot to lie down. he’s constantly glaring down any other men who dare to even look in your general direction and admiring how pretty you look matching with him. he’d take a million photos to save the memory.

dohoon would immediately spot the beach volleyball net and beeline towards it like a cartoon character. he's so excited to show off his athletic skills, and also to beat the other couple who agree to play against you two. he's so cocky and confident at the beginning, boasting about how perfect his teamwork is with you. but he's painfully proven wrong almost immediately as he constantly goes for the ball that you had already claimed and ends up tripping over you many times. you have to give him a lot of kisses afterwards to cheer him up after your embarrassing loss.

youngjae would find a few pieces of driftwood where you were setting up and start building with them without any real idea of where it was going to lead. when you find the start to his little project, you suggest that he build a hut with it, and your boyfriend lights up at the idea. so you start your search for the best sized pieces of wood for him to assemble. he's so excited when it’s finished, and proclaims it as your first home together (even though it can barely fit a 10 year old’s body, much less 2 adults). 

hanjin would be so mesmerized when you showed him a cool conch shell you found on the shoreline. he joins in with you, of course, and you both start searching for the best shells, wading deeper and deeper into the water for a better sample size. you don't care that you both end up getting soaked, because you end up with a good-sized collection of shells. you start sorting them into different categories based on shape and colour, and hanjin loves every second of it. not only is he proud of how many you collected, but he stashes away the prettiest one in his back pocket to make into a necklace for you later.

jihoon would challenge you to a sandcastle building competition and be brutal trying to win no matter what. you’re both competitive and it all starts out when you get a cheating head start running for the shoreline. he steals your bucket of water and tools after that, constantly provoking you until you smash his sandcastle in retaliation. the squabble would end up with you underneath him, sand all over both of your swimsuits and hair. but he still kisses you nonetheless (and makes sure that you know he still won since you blatantly cheated).

kyungmin would pack a picnic to eat on the beach and carefully feed you. you can’t protest him since you know it’s his love language. he just loves doting on you and making sure you eat well— admiring how pretty you look against the backdrop of the ocean and clear sky. he forgot to bring any tools to make sandcastles, so he tries to substitute by digging out the wet sand from the shoreline and bringing it back to a safer distance. but it doesn't work very well and in the end he's soaked from the waist down with nothing but a lump of wet sand to show for it.

youngjae is competitive and he’s also smart. the only problem is you are also competitive and possibly smarter than youngjae is. he doesn’t want to lose to you, he’s barely lost to anyone… hence the rivalry starts. he really doesn’t see anything special about you at first. you are just the first person to ever match him in terms of intellect and popularity. there’s nothing he’s interested in about you besides seeing you always a rank below him. but from how focused he becomes on beating you, that means you’re always on his mind. sooner or later he’s thinking about you not from a competitive aspect. after months of always being around you, trying to study you to see what your weaknesses were, how he could get the upper hand, he picked up on your habits and mannerisms. he knew faster than anyone when something was wrong, and for some reason, it bothered him. when he saw you not performing your best, it shouldn’t have irked him. he should’ve been happy, if anything. it meant he was finally on top. but it didn’t bring him the satisfaction he had wanted from the beginning. that’s when he realized that after months of rivalry he had grown fond of you. the switch in his behaviour quite puzzled you at first, but you couldn’t lie that you had always liked youngjae. you liked a challenge, and he was the first guy to ever give you that. youngjae did as much as he could to help you back to where you had been, just so that the competition could continue. when you were finally back to beating his scores and returning his snarky remarks, he simply couldn’t help himself. he stopped you from talking with his lips on yours, knowing you would reciprocate his feelings.

just from hanjin’s predebut photos alone, i bet he was so popular in school. he’s always been so gorgeous and i feel like even though he’s introverted, he would’ve caught the attention of a lot of girls. so it simply made no sense why he would ever pay attention to you. you always stayed at the back of the class, barely talking to anyone and just focusing quietly on the work you were given. but the fact that you weren’t social was exactly what intrigued hanjin. though he enjoyed the attention and praise to some extent, it was also exhausting. he couldn’t imagine romantically pursuing any of the girls who drooled over him, which is exactly why he wanted to get closer to you instead. you were pretty, smart, and weren’t an attention snob. so, he makes the first move to talk to you. you had your assumptions about hanjin before just watching him as the unbelievably pretty popular boy. the fact that he was actually trying to talk to you was insane… and also not good for your heart which you could feel racing in your chest. hanjin thinks you’re so cute the more he talks to you. he likes being able to make you flustered— it feels like you actually care about him and what he has to say and aren’t just trying to be friends with him for his looks. pretty soon, everyone in the school catches on. hanjin only wants to hang out with you, the loser girl who nobody has seen talk to another student except for group projects in 3 years of being at the school. the news spreads like wildfire and pretty soon the question of when he’ll ask you to be his girlfriend arises. you think it’s preposterous. you don’t want to get your hopes up just because the entire school is convinced of it. obviously… you would say yes immediately. without even a second of doubt. hanjin is the first person to ever try to get to know you, and he means more to you than anyone else. you can’t imagine how nice it would be to be able to call yourself his girlfriend. but, luckily, you don’t have to wait very long to find out. despite your loser status in the school, the student body is surprisingly fond of the match between you and hanjin.

HAN JIHOON ﾐ LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

jihoon first saw you at a convenience store at like 11 pm in the night slurping down ramen. and it definitely wasn’t the most flattering sight, but apparently that doesn’t matter at all to him. cause he’s not even looking at the sauce on the side of your lips, your messy hair, the hoodie that's pulled over your head, or your smeared makeup. he’s looking at your eyes and how they keep seeming to draw him in. you also notice jihoon as he’s checking out at the counter. his cute hair falling over his forehead and his lips that curve into a smile as soon as he looks your way. before you know it, he’s sitting next to you and introducing himself to you. it was like destiny, you both share so many interests and have so much to talk about. thankfully, the convenience store was a 24 hour one, otherwise you definitely would’ve been kicked out by the employee. you talk and talk… and talk. and eat; jihoon pays for your ice cream and extra snacks. numbers are exchanged and before you know it he’s asking to hang out again. you can barely keep track of how fast you catch feelings for him. he’s the cutest boy you’ve ever seen with the most adorable personality in the world. you’d never fallen in love at first sight before, and you certainly didn’t expect an encounter like that to land you a boyfriend. but everything progresses so naturally. you’re talking and then he’s asking you out on dates and then you’re kissing him outside of your apartment and not wanting it to end because you’re so obsessed with him. and, like you were made for one another, he shares your exact feelings. soon enough, you’re in an official relationship and more in love than ever with the boy you met at the convenience store.

shinyu will call you ‘sweetheart’ most of the time. he says it in the most romantic way every time and it makes you absolutely fold. he could literally be asking you to pass the salt and you would get butterflies because he would ask so gently and romantically. he’s too romantic for his own good to be honest. he never told you this but when you just started dating, he tried to think of the most romantic pet name to call you and settled for sweetheart. probably researched it and everything.

dohoon loves to call you ‘baby’. it’s classic and it’s cute. he also likes how it’s pretty lowkey and he can use it to address you whenever. it doesn’t have to be reserved for a romantic date or anything. he might use ‘babe’ as well sometimes if he’s in a rush or asking you a question, just whatever rolls off the tongue easier. on dates, though, he’ll call you ‘my love’ or ‘princess’ when he wants to be more romantic.

youngjae calls you ‘angel’ or ‘love’ because you are his angel, you’re so perfect in his eyes. he likes gentle pet names or any that are just soft and romantic. he has the softest and sweetest voice ever that whenever you hear him call you his angel, you fall 10 times more in love with him. he treats you like you literally hung the stars in the sky. maybe cause he’s so teased in tws and you don’t tease him that often but he definitely gives you special treatment, including the pet names.

hanjin would call you 亲亲 (qīn qīn, dear one) or 宝贝 (bǎo bèi, baby/love). it’s so cute cause 亲亲 also means ‘kiss’ so he would ask for a kiss while calling you that. he melts if you call him that back. even more so if you use something like 甜心 (tiánxīn, sweetheart) or any cute chinese nickname. he loves pet names so much, he’s always thinking of new ones to call you in different languages as well. he always asks you which ones you like the most as well, so you both have a say.

jihoon likes food nicknames a lot. something like ‘peaches’ or ‘sugar plum’. he thinks it’s funny and also really cute. maybe he jokes about biting you a bit too often… and sometimes he does actually bite you which only adds to the joke that you are food to him lol. if you’re shorter than him, he’ll call you ‘shortcake’ there’s just absolutely no escaping it. even if you’re only shorter by 1 cm. he’s one of the shorter tws members so he takes what he can get.

kyungmin would call you a nickname or shortened version of your name rather than a pet name. he’s tried pet names with you and most of them just don't sound right. the only one he does use is 자기야 (jagiya, baby) but it's not that often. whatever nickname he gave you feels more special and unique so he likes it more than any pet name. the nickname is reserved for just kyungmin’s use and if anyone else dares to use it to address you, he’ll fight them (more like get super pouty and complain to you about it later but shhh).
