Killua and Gon have a relaxing chat together on a potted plant. They enjoy each other’s company and will probably stay there for a while. 💙🪴💚

I wanted heart-shaped leaves, but found a potted plant to draw instead. Killua and Gon look super cute for this one. Ignore the mitten hands when Gon’s feet have very intricate toes...

KilluGon in April 2021: Day 6

While Gon was taking his shower, Killua snuck into the changing room and switched the usual white briefs for some polka dot panties. Gon doesn’t look happy about it. I wonder if he’d rather go commando for the day rather than wear girls’ underwear... 💙👙💚

Tomorrow is the start of KilluGon in April 2021! 💙💚 This year, like every year, we will strive to reach the end of the month. After all, we tend to get stuck by the end of the second week. 😅

HOWEVER, LET’S NOT GET HIT BY A CAR THIS YEAR. 💥🚗 As long as that doesn’t happen again, or any other big accident, I can’t see why we won’t be able to succeed... So expect KilluGon drawings every day (at later and later times of the day until we overflow into the American time zone of being half a day behind)!

This year, after the 5-minute Google search, I was able to only find like 3 different art challenges for April. None of them were labeled 2021, making them a bit eh, but nothing I can do about that. After a quick glance at the prompts (to check that I can do most of them okay), I have chosen this one:

KilluGon in April 2021: Day 10

Today, we have Chokorin Killua and Chokorin Gon sharing a cute kiss. 💙🔲💚 I knew I had to take 3D KilluGon and turn it into 2D KilluGon... it sort of turned out okay. Chokorin Killua became taller though, but it’s fine because that has been his biggest wish in life (don’t tell him he’ll never grow 🤫).

KilluGon in April 2021: Day 5

Have a KilluGon tribute for my top favorite current Shounen Jump manga titles! 💙📚💚 Took me 12 hours, but I’m very happy.

🏋️‍♂️Mashle has Killua as Lance and Gon as Mash. 🍀UnDead UnLuck has Killua as Andy and Gon as Fuuko. 🤖Boku to Roboko has Killua Bondo, Gon as Roboko, Kurapika as Motsuo, and Leorio as Gorilla. Last, 🪲MoriKing has Killua as Moriking and Gon as Shota. MoriKing ended serialization a while ago, but the final volume was published this week. It directly referenced the Hunter Exam and designed a character to look like Satotz. All of these KilluGon versions were designed after manga covers. As a bonus, the t-shirt on the Gon in the middle is modeled after the boy’s on the weekly voting slip.

How to make a fake magazine name: Shounen Jump → Shounen Leap (I use it in my KilluGon fanfics) → KilluGon Leap! 💙💚

“Nondominant Hand”

KilluGon in April 2021: Day 9

Tomcat Killua is giving Puppy Gon a tongue bath before bed. Gon is looking forward to reciprocating the gesture once Killua is done. I doubt Killua will let him though.🐱✍️🐶

I am left-handed, so I drew this with my right hand. I went slowly, but it still smudged all over the place. Trying to balance pencil pressure was also more difficult than I thought. It turned out pretty well for my non-dominant hand though!

“One Minute Drawing”

KilluGon in April 2021: Day 8 (3/3)

Drawing the boys, one minute each, was both easier and harder than I thought. Since I draw Gon almost every day, he was pretty easy. Killua was a lot harder. His hair took about half the time to draw and my arms were shaking. Still, I got it done with videos to show that I didn’t cheat~ 💙⏱💚

Because we’re still playing catch-up, let’s reuse some previous KilluGon in April, shall we? “Thunderstorm” from 2019 will work okay for “Clouds” this year. Please ignore the plural. 💙🌩💚

I really love Gon’s raincoat in this picture. I can tell I worked hard on the design. Killua on the other hand got no effort. 😅 The thunderbolt heart is still really cute too.

For today’s drawing, I decided not to listen to music, but rather use the written music as the base for making KilluGon art. As HxH fans, you should be able to figure out what song this is.

All the little KilluGon items are mainly Killua’s... 🪀🍫🛹⚡ Gon did get his (if you really think about it, it’s not even his) fishing rod though.🎣

KilluGon in April: Day 3 (again)

I decided to do the actual prompt and draw to music. Have a concept collage for Kuro Gon💚 from my KilluGon dimensions set to the song “i’m a princess” by bill wurtz on YouTube.

Also pictured are exhausted boyfriend Shiro Killua 💖, the plushies Bread 🐼, Brie 🐱, and Hyster 🐰, and the Lusty Couple of Kuro Killua ❤️ and Shiro Gon 🧡. All the words are lyrics from the song, which has a cool abstract music video!

You guys didn’t like my main post of Departure... 🎼😅 I thought it was clever...

KilluGon in April 2022!

Hey everyone! Sorry for not preparing well this year. January through March has been super busy this year with HxH stuff and it hasn’t slowed down… only ramping up!

While Official HunterxHunter merch is my focus right now, KilluGon is still important to think about and appreciate every day. So KILLUGON IN APRIL 2022 begins!

We are using Natural Beach Living’s April Drawing Challenge (even though there’s no 2022 date stamp) because it’s the only new Art Prompt list I could find without a 2017, 2020, or 2021 date stamp. Next year, people better put out something April 2023 specific or else we’ll have some trouble…
