What’s ur opinion on Rad feminist / feminist? The phrase “I hate all men, Kill all men, men suck, etc” always makes me so sad as a male. I would hope only a very small minority of women actually think this or say it. I hope most women love ❤️ men just like how most men love 💗 women.
.·:*¨༺ I was actually planning on making a long post on my views of sexism, but I decided against it. Since you asked me this question, I took it as a sign to put my thoughts out there. So, this post will probably be pretty lengthy. I’ll try to cover everything I see necessary ༻¨*:·.
TW// MENTIONS OF RAPE, SEXUAL ASSUALT, & ABUSE
I’ve actually made a few posts about my distaste for modern day feminism, really just radical feminism. As i’ve said, “feminism” now, is nothing but well disguised misogyny, and blatant misandry. Majority of the self proclaimed feminists do not, in any way, think for themselves. There is no genuine concern for women amongst them. They simply want to appear self righteous, as majority of people online do anyways. They see how society perceives these words and actions, and jump on the “worship” or “hate” train, as soon as they see others doing so. You’ll see “feminists” praising any woman who simply says “I hate men”, but then soon realizing that words like that, mean nothing, and that most “activists” are frauds. Julia Fox is the perfect example. She was heavily praised for her anti-men rhetoric, but then immediately hated after working and sticking up for a designer, who has many allegations of sexual assault on his hands. What many fail to realize is that, those in the limelight, sometimes know exactly what the public want to hear, and will say what they need, to be perceived as a “good person”. Your words or posts on social media mean, relatively nothing, in regards to activism.
Radical Feminists will speak on how the media is inherently misogynistic, as it pits women against each other; yet at the same time, they devoured the Selena vs. Hailey “feud” online. A completely fabricated story. There was absolutely no evidence of Hailey ever bullying Selena. Not even that, but even if Selena and Hailey were to have a feud, it’s no one’s business but theirs. You would see, and will still see, people irrationally attack and bully Hailey. They tried to make her feel inferior to Selena in any way that they could; from body shaming, to name calling, to dialing her down to just being a wife, the list goes on and on. Yet, they claim to be feminists? All of that behavior directly combats what feminism is really about.
They complain about how the media attacks women for the bare minimum, but yet again, feed into the exact same behavior they are ridiculing. Lily Rose Depp, in an interview, stated her opinions on being called a “nepotism baby”. She spoke about how she felt people were not seeing that she has worked very hard to get where she is. Did her opinion come from a lack of understanding of different perspectives? Very much so. Was that an excuse for people to viciously attack her? Absolutely not. Yet, you’d see “feminists” online do that exact thing. You can disagree with someone and still be poised, elegant, and respectful. These peoples concerns are nothing but deceit. They want to be perceived as so passionate about their concern for others, but their passion is just hatred and negativity.
I especially oppose anti-trans radical feminists. These feminists will say “real women” are women with periods, who can give birth, who have uteruses, or who have vaginas. This is the same rhetoric used by misogynists. They dial down women to nothing but our reproductive organs, which is inherently sexist. Not to mention, there are cis women who cannot give birth or have periods. As well as women who don’t have uteruses. It’s completely hypocritical.
ೃ⁀➷ You see, misogyny is noticeably oppressive, because it very obviously restricts women. Female gender roles holds women to extremely strict standards. Women must be virgins, they must be homemakers, they must be perfectly beautiful, and they must be responsible, and mature from a young age. Misandry however; is oppressive, due to the fact that the gender roles for men, are not oppressive at all. People even confuse it for “liberation”. Which is why it’s so easily overlooked. Men are not held to any standards, the most horrid behavior in men, is excused; there is no accountability.
It is my belief that something cannot exist without both the feminine and masculine element. By feminine and masculine, I do not mean, man and woman necessarily, but that sexism is not black and white. Sexism is not man versus woman. It is much larger than that; it is a societal issue. Where you will have misogyny, you will always have misandry as well; neither can exist without the other. In terms of abuse and predatory behavior, it is often over looked in regards to men. People will argue that “men are inherently sexual beings” to excuse rape and sexual assault. They will say “Biologically, men are dominating, aggresive, and purely logical creatures”, to excuse physical, mental, financial, and emotional abuse. I’ve even seen people excuse pedophillia in men, by saying that “men are inherently pedophilic in nature” due to the idea that younger girls are “more fertile”.
These are all, not only obviously misogynistic; as it is a lack of care or concern for girls and women, but overlooked misandry. To say that a man is inherently abusive or pedophilic, is sexism. Yet, time and time again, I see people excusing horrible behaviors in men, as something that is inherent to them. It’s inherently our burden, as women and girls, to deal with their “bad behavior”. The saying “boys will be boys” is nothing but to excuse those behaviors, to say that they are inherently bad, and monstrous. Another example, is the aversion society has to having baby girls, as opposed to having baby boys. They say that boys are just, “easier to raise”, than girls. The only reason for that is, they allow it to be that way. They are tolerant of the misbehavior of little boys, as opposed to the misbehavior of girls. Radical feminists, ironically enough, tend to agree with these statements. That men are inherently abusive and sexual deviants. Many radical feminists do not realize that these beliefs are backhanded; it’s not just misandry, but misogyny as well. It’s just another way for women to disguise their unhealed wounds, as concern for other women.
╰┈➤ This extends into male rape victims not being taken seriously, due to men inherently being seen as “sexual beings”. Little girls are forced to be women at such a young age, by society hypersexualizing them (their bodies being seen as inherently taboo and tempting), and blaming them for any rape or sexual assault. While little boys are forced to be men from such a young age, due to being forced into hyper-sexualizing themselves, and excusing that predatory behavior. With these oppressive gender roles, they are always on the opposite ends of the radical spectrum. Men being forced to be promiscuous, and women being forced to remain virgins. If either of them break that gender role, they are chastised and shunned. You can apply this to every sexist societal norm.
There is an immense amount of hateful people in society. People have inexplicable wounds down to their core, that they either; don’t know how to heal, or are too afraid to try to heal. Those never healed wounds are morphed into negativity, bigotry, and hatred; which is directly reflected into society. To say “I hope most women love men, just like how most men love women”. I don’t particularly agree, due how much bigotry and hatred there still is in the world towards women as well. There is still femicides happening around the world. There is still an immense amount of misogyny, even in first world countries. There are platforms for misogynists; like Andrew Tate, Sneeko, JustPearlyThings, Fresh & Fit, Kevin Samuels, in which all have enormous followings. All very obviously contribute to misogyny, and discrete misandry.
Truth is, everyone has bias. Most people have a lot of internalized sexism. I am not going to exclusively talk about sexism in men or women, because this entire post would be another to simply please the masses. As women can be misogynistic, just as much as men can. Men can be misandrists, just as much as women can. Again, sexism is not black and white. If someone is misogynistic, they are misandrists as well.
⋰ ⋰ A radical feminist’s hatred for men, is a direct response to the trauma of sexism that women face from such a young age. Their resentment is just being put in the wrong place. Men are not the enemy, but society itself. Our hatred needs to be towards gender roles and societal perception, not the people themselves; as that will get us no where near the progression we desire.
This is what true feminism is about. Deconstruct gender roles. Release oppression from women and men. You cannot get rid of misogyny without getting rid of misandry as well. We have to combat gender roles all together. No one should be manipulated and forced into being someone they are not. Gender roles does nothing but harm to all. Children shouldn’t be forced into perceiving their bodies as inherent sexual objects. Society shouldn’t see our bodies as only machines for reproduction. We are a lot more than just our bodies, and what they can accomplish. Before you are a man, or a woman; before you are your race, religion, or identity; you are a human being, and all humans deserve to be treated with the same respect, boundaries, and standards.
My point is that, nowadays, many people are extremely disingenuous in their activism. This generation is obsessed with being perceived as morally superior. They don’t care if they engage in vile behaviors, as long as they are on the “right side”. Due to social media, it’s extremely easy for them to appear morally right, instead of thinking for themselves and doing the work, to actually be that way. Any chance they can get, negative people will go to where that hateful, and vile behavior is seen as acceptable. So I hope that whoever reads this, does a bit of self reflecting, and decides to be a positive force that fights bias, negativity, and emotional immaturity in the world.

In Defense of Archibald Snatcher
Oh, wow, we’re coming up on almost the sixth anniversary of The Boxtrolls, my favorite film of all time, and though the fandom for it seems to be either dead or in hibernation, I still have the torch lit.
I actually have been of the mindset of the opinion/s I’m about to present here for all those six years, but never really thought it prudent to lay them out until I recently had a friend I was recommending the film to who I warned about some of the elements considered “problematic” and I offhandedly mentioned that I could do a whole essay about why they don’t bother me and said friend replied with a desire to want to hear it because we share infodump for infodump, so here we go, I’m poking the hornet’s nest surrounding a controversial film with a dead fandom.
But if you were on Tumblr back in the heyday, you might’ve seen the reaction to this film when it first debuted. Specifically, what a lot of people honed in on wa that the villain, Archibald Snatcher, employed a dragsona to be able to push his agenda and implement his evil scheme. There was outrage. There were accusations. There was lambasting. And above it all, one question hovers: was this transphobic?
I want to start, before we get into the weeds, by saying that if you are anywhere on the LGBTQ+ spectrum and you were offended by this film or this character, your experiences are completely valid. I’m about to present the counterargument in language that assumes my take is fact for the purpose of not having to write fifty thousand clunky disclaimers, but analytical as this may be, it IS an opinion, and if you don’t think it’s right, then hey, that’s super valid, and I’m not gonna try and change your mind, because if you’re hurt, then you’re hurt! You just may want to nope out of this post right now because I’m about to lay out my observations and thoughts to the contrary of the accusations of this being homo/transphobic.
First of all, the obvious facet that comes to mind is how strange it is that we only ever saw the word “transphobia” put on this phenomenon rather than “homophobia” when using a female alter ego as a disguise or a performance art is not the same as being a woman assigned male at birth. One only needs to take a look over at RuPaul’s Drag Race to see examples of this culture. Lots of gay men wearing dresses. No women perceived male.
All the same, I will say that on the surface, adding any kind of queercoding to the story’s villain, who the audience is supposed to boo and hiss at, looks really, really bad on paper. However you interpret it, Snatcher is definitely queercoded. He openly flirts with the man he’s trying to trick as a means of getting what he wants, he displays sincere enjoyment of wearing the dress, and he runs the gamut of flamboyant hand gestures. But if you dig a little further, there’s even more to the story: his tale is one of a man who desires to pass as one of the elite class in his society, but is held back by something he can’t change about himself no matter how he denies it.
Let’s look at the rest of his story. Snatcher is in pursuit of the White Hat: the ultimate status symbol. To that end, he’s decided to otherize the Boxtroll population of the town and play upon the culture shock in Cheesebridge to convince the humans of the “upper world” that the Boxtrolls are predatory monsters who must be killed. This sounds like a pretty black-and-white good-and-evil scenario, right? You’ve got your population of innocent sweethearts being attacked and your genocidal racist orchestrating their destruction. But there’s a third layer still: Lord Portley-Rind, the chief White Hat himself. Lord PR is actually the worst of the lot. It’s because he doesn’t accept Snatcher that Snatcher feels he has to resort to this tactic. He demonstrates open hatred of the Boxtrolls and of Snatcher (”I’m not sure who should be more worried: the Boxtrolls or us!”). There are implications in how he treats his daughter that he’s a textbook sexist who believes there are men’s roles and women’s roles in society and nary the twain shall cross. And he’s the rich guy controlling the entire city and letting children’s hospitals and crumbling bridges go to waste by spending the budget on frivolous cheese. In short, Lord PR is basically the ur-example of a nightmarish fictional Republican (and oh, how I WISH he hadn’t been so prophetic).
I’m not saying Snatcher was justified or good. No. He’s in no way redeemable. But over the course of his interactions with Lord PR, you can see just how much society’s elites treat him as inhuman or like a dirty buffoon. He’s looked down upon, he’s insulted even when he’s doing the “service” Lord PR desires, he’s rejected until he’s gone above and beyond his contract and I think it’s even a little bit implied that Lord PR would’ve reneged on the whole deal if the mob hadn’t cheered for Snatcher in the end. So what you have is a prim and proper billionaire who subscribes to gender roles telling a man of the lower class, obviously economically downtrodden, that he doesn’t deserve what Lord PR has.
The idea of meritocracy is woven throughout the film. Listening to the speech in the background of Snatcher’s anaphylactic attack, while the visuals are focused on Eggs rescuing Fish, you can hear Snatcher rambling about how his father told him that if you work hard, you will receive a White Hat, but he worked hard all his life and got nothing. One of the White Hats literally says he got his through being rich. It’s not hard to infer that Snatcher has figured out how broken the system is and realized the only way to win the game is to cheat.
But there’s still one more thing holding him back from his victory, something that actually trips him up when he achieves what he wanted. Cheese is presented as another status symbol: the rich eat it and are connoisseurs of its flavor. Snatcher is deathly allergic to it. The goal he’s chasing, he can’t even have without threat to his own life. His reaction is to pretend he isn’t allergic and to expose himself to having allergic reactions on the regular to show how much he’s ready to become part of the elites. I’ll reiterate: Archibald Snatcher wants to join the elites, but is held back because of something about himself he cannot change that only matters because the upper crust said it should.
Okay. So we’ve established the man is gay, or somewhere on the queer spectrum. How is this not really, really horrible?
Because the narrative invites you to feel some sympathy for him. No, not for his actions or any secret soft side or tragic backstory (that’s a job for the fans), but because he is chasing a dream he cannot attain. Perhaps the film’s biggest shortcoming is how little consequence comes to Lord PR in the end, because Lord PR, for all intents and purposes, is the worse villain on the board. Snatcher’s ploy is to take the class below the one he inhabits and paint its members as the bad guys: a nuisance that must be exterminated for the betterment of society. And we’ve seen this. We’ve seen plenty of real-life examples of have-nots turning on have-lessers because the haves benefit from oppressed groups infighting and being distracted from who holds the money and the power. A lot of times, you see that while intersectionality is definitely something we need to pay attention to, racism, sexism, and homophobia are not concepts that are all explicitly linked. If you experience one, that doesn’t mean you don’t project one or two of the others on other people - particularly if you’re trying to make yourself feel better about the discrimination you face.
When you look at the hierarchy, Snatcher is, I reiterate, a very bad person. But he’s also a victim. Not as much of a victim as the poor Boxtrolls, who get the malice trickling down from both the Red Hats and the White Hats, but he is a victim. We see him mocked, laughed at, turned away. And though he’s not redeemable, there are aspects in which he is sympathetic.
But what about Frou Frou? What about that particular disguise?
Well, for one, it’s used to make yet another allegorical statement. Snatcher is able to get attention paid to him if he weaponizes female sexuality - though it is a very shallow attention that largely results in the straight men of the town swallowing his propaganda while also objectifying him. Most of the comments made on Frou Frou are slimy, smarmy “compliments” on her body from the White Hats. Lord PR’s wife harbors a distinct distaste for Frou Frou because her husband most certainly prefers ogling Frou Frou to actually paying attention to their marriage. Frou Frou is a propaganda vehicle to make it look like more than one person is on the same page as Snatcher; Snatcher himself drives the action of his scheme and gets the dirty work done.
It’s also worth noting that if you take away the implications, villains using alter egos to trick their nemeses is a tale as old as time, from sea witch Ursula making herself more supermodel-esque in order to marry the prince to mythological Loki actually crossdressing much in the same vein in order to fool the Frost Giants. There’s a reason disguise masters and shapeshifters are intriguing villain archetypes: because we’re always a little bit afraid that someone isn’t who they say they are, and because - yeah, I’m about to go here - I think we all wish we could shift shape ourselves to take on new forms that suit the goals we’re trying to accomplish, even if that means “fooling” others. So it’s reasonable to think Laika wasn’t aware that there was any queercoding to even be had here - but I do think the crew was aware, and not in a malicious way.
However, watching Snatcher’s scenes as Frou Frou, there’s something that comes across in his character that you don’t see so often when he’s presenting male: he’s legitimately having fun. He dances, he flirts with the crowd, he adds more flourishes to his speech, he gets sassy. Frou Frou is a means for him to express himself, to allow himself to be feminine when he has built his philosophy on needing to do “what a man does” (he repeats this at least twice) in order to achieve greatness. He can be a little more himself when he’s Frou Frou, even though Frou Frou isn’t him. Taking a new identity that’s allowed the other half of the gender roles allowed in Cheesebridge (which runs on a binary because it’s run by the White Hats) lets him act a little less like what he needs to be to be taken seriously and a little more like he has freedom.
Put this back in context of the greater narrative: given all the parallels we’ve seen, it’s safe to assume that Cheesebridge, as a whole, is not accepting of deviations from gender roles, whether it’s being open and proud of your LGBTQ+ identity or simply wearing the clothes that don’t belong to your gender. Snatcher is taking an enormous gamble here by using Frou Frou at all. On one hand, it’s a calculated risk; he knows if he can appeal to Lord PR’s unchecked sexist libido, he can secure another avenue to being heard. On the other, however, it’s not really much of a leap to say this is something he wants to do, someone he wants to be more like, and isn’t allowed to, and since he’s cheating at the game anyway, he might as well go all the way and do what he wants with his life.
I’ve seen a lot of people take issue with the scene where he reveals himself to Lord PR and comparing it to some actual homophobic/transphobic media. And again, if that still stands to you as your primary analysis and emotional reaction, then feel free to turn away, reject my analysis, and know your thoughts and feelings are completely valid. But I think this scene differs from your usual “person with male parts tricked you into thinking they were a woman” scene in a couple ways.
For one, Snatcher decides to out himself on his own. To Lord PR, it’s when he’s got nothing left to lose. Again, when he realizes the game is broken and the odds are against him, he takes control and decides to be himself a little more. Now everyone knows he likes to act a dragsona because he wanted them to. But also, earlier on, when he revealed himself to Eggs, it was again on purpose. Eggs didn’t figure him out. Snatcher needed Eggs to know the level of the threat he was dealing with: that he was the person Eggs has been running from since the start and is no less dangerous in a dress. It’s always been of his own volition. There’s no “I thought you knew” or disrobing to see a body that doesn’t match expectations - Eggs ripping Snatcher’s wig off is maybe a little iffier, but again, in context, that’s him trying to show Snatcher’s identity, not as a man but as Archibald Snatcher, to expose the corruption, and Snatcher actually plays it completely off because he’s that good of an actor.
Which brings me to my second point. There’s only one person who reacts in an “Oh, gross!” manner to this revelation, and it’s Lord Portley-Rind. The one we’ve established is sexist, homophobic, and your textbook Rich White Straight Cis Man. The one at the top of the food chain. The one who’s been objectifying Snatcher and acting like a slobbering pervert about Frou Frou from the beginning. The homophobe realizes he has been a little gay. The sexist realizes his objectifying a particular person he perceived female has consequences. And this is why to me, that scene is actually hilarious. Because I don’t feel like I’m laughing at Snatcher’s expense. I’m laughing because Lord PR just got called OUT, and this is exactly the kind of discomfort that is karmic given how he’s treated his daughter, his wife, and everyone in his city who’s needed him.
Cycling back to when Snatcher outs himself at the ball, Eggs doesn’t really seem to care that there’s a gender-role-play involved here. His concern is not that this is actually a man; his concern is that it’s specifically the person who he knows is trying to ruin everything. Same with Winnie when Eggs passes it on. Eggs trying to reveal Snatcher to the crowd doesn’t even begin with “Frou Frou is fake,” but a line I will never forget: “Archibald Snatcher has lied to you all.” Not even drawing attention yet to the fact that he’s in the room. Starting out by having everyone remember that guy they are all sure ISN’T there and pointing out he’s bad news.
To look at Lord Portley-Rind’s “Oh my God! I regret so much!” as a dig at Snatcher is to say that Lord Portley-Rind is the lens through which we should be viewing this story, which it most certainly isn’t. The lens is Eggs and Winnie. Adjacent lenses are Fish, Shoe, and Jelly. Lord Portley-Rind is an antagonist to every single character in this film save the other White Hats.
Which is why if this film falls flat anywhere, it’s in letting Lord Portley-Rind get away without consequence. I think I can take a guess as to why this primarily happened: it needed to wrap up in a little under two hours, and dismantling systematic oppression and abuse of socioeconomic power can’t be done in a two-hour escapade. I still wish he were at least villainized a little more, as that’s where the narrative was leading up to that point. One of his earliest scenes with Winnie foreshadows that he will have to choose between her and the hat, and it takes him two tries to make the right choice. This story, until the very last act, has not supported him being a character to like or sympathize with, even in such subtle ways as Trout and Pickles stealing his hat and running around with it to taunt Snatcher - showing that a symbol is really only a symbol, and doesn’t indicate your worth. Anyone can put on a hat. Lord PR has just been brought onto an equal footing with them, if only for a moment.
Okay, so why have this whole three-layer narrative anyway? Couldn’t we have made this story more clear-cut between the Boxtrolls and White Hats, with no queercoded villain to get in between?
Yes...but I’m not sure that would have been best for the viewing audience. And there’s plenty of precedent as to why Laika thought it was a move for the better.
Queercoded villains are in every aspect of our fictional and fandom lives. Here’s a bitter pill to swallow: all your favorite Disney villains are queercoded. All of them. “But Frollo’s arc is about - “ Being a man in a religious system afraid of being tainted as sinful for being attracted to the wrong person. “Gaston, though, is - “ Very chummy with LeFou, and I’m talking the animated versions. They’re all colorful, flamboyant, foppish for the men and full of socially-unacceptable strength for the women. These were the cornerstones of our childhood nostalgia and characters we still feel culturally attached to.
It’s not just in Disney. Are you a fan of musical theater? Well, then your favorite villain probably got a big song and dance in which they wore some glitter. Classic lit? Google the name of your favorite literary canon villain and “queer theory” and see what happens.
I don’t think we can really say this is good or bad. On one hand, it’s not great that a marginalized group can only see themselves in the character we’re supposed to hate. On the other, though, we don’t always hate that character. Villains hold a unique place in our culture. They do bad things, horrible things, but the story can’t take place without a conflict, and we like when that conflict has a name and a cool design such as a tall, imposing sorcerer/witch in flowing robes - or perhaps a tall, graceful man in a long red coat and a towering crooked top hat.
I’ve had lots of friends and trusted Internet reviewers talking about how queercoding in villains can actually be really empowering. If you’re a fan of the villain, you get to see a power fantasy in which someone who has something very big in common with you gets to enact karma on others for wronging them! You get to wear the cool robes, sing the fun song, do things that are not really legal or acceptable! I think a great analogy is if you check out the book “Dead Blondes and Bad Mothers” by Sady Doyle. It’s primarily about sexism rather than queer issues (though it does touch upon them!), but examines how women throughout pop culture and storytelling history have always been the witch, the monster, the demon, and how that sucks, but it also means that women have a great pile of fictional power fantasies to pick from to indulge in. It’s the same principle. I myself may not be same-gender-attracted, but I am asexual, and still waiting on my glamorous villain who uproots society as revenge for being forced to do something analogous to having a sexual relationship...*taps wristwatch*
Meanwhile, queercoding is not as prevalent in heroes. And I think that’s where everything’s tripping on its own feet. Because a gay villain among a bunch of straight heroes does look pretty bad. Are some of the heroes queercoded as well, though? Well, that’s just realistic diversity. People are gay, and there happen to be some good ones and some evil ones here. I don’t think Snatcher’s dragsona is entirely unproblematic, but I do think it could have been mitigated a lot with more implications that Eggs and Winnie might be queer in some way (and believe me, I choose to interpret them that way, because the more the merrier).
The thing is that in pop culture as of late, there seems to be a trend to scrub away all villainous queercoding because it’s seen as a black-and-white issue. To go back to the Disney villains, do you feel like the live-action recreations of Jafar, Scar, and Gaston are missing a certain je ne sais quoi? Well, think about it through this lens and it might be that you savez quoi after all. They’ve all been made incredibly straight as of late, with off-the-record actor confirmations about having obsessive crushes on the film heroines. I can’t speak to why this has happened; there’s a lot of history behind any given social movement, and I haven’t managed to really unpack this one. “Blame Tumblr” is too easy; I would want to know who were the loudest voices, why they said what they said, and what was the intended accomplishment, not to mention if this had built on other social-media or real-life platforms over the years and was influenced by any outside source by news or marketing. I can’t say why queercoded villains are being burned; I can only say it’s happening. And it was happening big-time in 2014, when The Boxtrolls was released.
I also feel like I would be remiss to mention that The Boxtrolls is based on “Here Be Monsters,” which I believe to be one of the worst books I’ve ever read, bar none. That version of the story has...pretty much everything that’s perceived to be in the film version’s text as problematic. Frou Frou is presented as something to laugh at Snatcher about throughout, largely because everything about Snatcher is presented to make him seem gross or like a buffoon. There’s a whole scene of the hero rifling through his desk to find soiled underwear. Not to mention that the original purpose of Frou Frou in the text was to manipulate the town’s women by dictating the fashion trends they should follow and the beliefs they should hold in order to fit in. This is something that does need commentary on it, but in that text in particular, it seems like the women are silly and easily swayed, and that they’re the town’s weak link because they’re slaves to fashion. The Boxtrolls completely flips this around so that the town’s weak link re: Frou Frou is the rich MEN who objectify women, particularly the men that happen to be in charge of the whole town, and looking at that divide alone tells me how much care was put into this adaptation at every level.
So why’d I do this, besides having a friend who wanted to read it? Because Archibald Snatcher is legitimately one of my favorite fictional characters. Yeah, I know, he’s a horrible person and terribly racist, and no, I don’t think his demonizing an entire people is anything to be emulated. But on one hand, there are places where I not only empathize but identify with him, particularly where it comes to living out the majority of one’s life trying to live up to a meritocracy - I did everything right, so why am I not on top? He’s also just fun and satisfying to me. He’s the exact brand of evil I eat up. He’s quippy, flamboyant, sadistic to a point, and altogether enjoying his job way too much. Even though he isn’t in power all that long, he is a power fantasy for me, too - wishing I had his talent to talk my way into others’ hearts by saying the right thing, and maybe cultivating a little bit of that I didn’t realize I had (but not to use for evil purposes). I loved him from the moment he turned up because of his sheer dynamic presence - his drawn-out vowels, his sinister smile, his silver-tongued manipulations - and to this day I find him an inspiring character when it comes to writing fiction, both in the realms of fanfiction and original villain creation. You could say he’s a comfort character to me. And maybe this has been the delusional rambling of a woman trying to protect a character she likes for surface reasons by spelling out what look like analytical points of discussion.
But I don’t think Laika was trying to be mean-spirited or homo/transphobic in their character creation. I think they were trying to make an engaging villain who had some layers you could pick at to see more about the narrative as a whole and the message of societal corruption and how the way to overcome it is to be true to yourself rather than defined by your status: a lesson Snatcher fails at the finish line when Eggs gives him one last chance to “make you.” And ultimately, if you really and truly did like Archibald Snatcher, you’re not wrong or invalid in the least.

can u summarise dracula ep 2 because I did not watch it
oh my oh my oh my. the plot was so ridiculous it will be difficult but i will do my best! so sassy nun aka agatha, and dracula are in a sherlock style mind palace together playing chess because steven moffat has not had an original idea since the empty child! they make some pointless metaphors and then dracula is like im going to tell you a story…… flashback time. so theres a boat nd i think dracula just killed a guy called piotr who was meant to work on the boat so this kid steals the dead guys identity and takes his place, which isn’t as important to the plot as it should be. the other passengers are a doctor and his daughter, a posh weird gay guy his beard and his boyfriend, a rich old lady, and dracula and i Think that’s it??? oh and theres a passenger in cabin 9 and no one knows who it is. as per the book, draculas using the voyage to transport caskets of soil. dr sharma already knows a bit about the supernatural and is pretty well prepared (he has some sort of tragic backstory but i couldn’t work it out). first one to get killed is the old lady who courted dracula when she was young and he was also young bc hes a vampire. oh and before that a random sailor so he can learn how to speak german. then he kills gay guy’s wife who’s like 15 years old then honestly i cannot remember what happens in between but they work out theres someone murdering people so ig more people die and we go back to the mind palace and agathas like oh my god……… IM the passenger in cabin 9 and we’re all like oh my god steven moffat you are the smartest person in the world if you don’t let me fuck you THIS second i will die. so shes been infected and shes in the cabin all emaciated and dracula tries to frame her for the murders and theyre about to hang her while all the sailors go ok??? but shes clearly not rlly in a state to murder people??? and she proves that draculas actually the vampire and dracula looks at posh gay guy like oh no :( and i was gonna fuck you and everything :( and posh gay guys like oh shit you were???? im going to lose sight of all my morals now! so the doctors daughter drinks poison and the doctor gets shot and dracula kills posh gay guy and fake piotr sees and runs back up on deck where the rest of them are making a circle that keeps vampires out for some reason. they think piotr might be dracula in disguise but he proves he isn’t and then dracula appears and does the exact same thing as in ep1 wheres he’s like oh… but one of you will let me in…. and he goads dead guy’s boyfriend into stepping out and trying to shoot him then kills him and then for some fuckin reason EVERYONE starts jumping out and trying to stake him but none of them get killed they just get chucked about and then they set dracula on fire. most of them escape on a lifeboat and agatha plans to stay and blow up the boat, i wasn’t paying attention so idk why. the captain stays and theyre heterosexual for a minute. dracula reappears because he has to theres another episode and he kills the captain. agatha tries to psyche him out, he throws her in the water. he walks onto land and gasp there are cars and helicopters and its the modern day and modern day agatha is there and i am so tired i feel like bob hale on horrible histories christ in heaven. im sure other things happened and this could’ve been more succinct but this what ur getting

CoMC Chapter 45
CHAPTER 45
The Rain of Blood (homophones exist but I’m pretty sure that one’s correct)
39 minutes
WOW, didn’t see that one coming. I actually gasped while brushing my teeth. Lady Macbeth, after browbeating her husband into murder, got dead herself. I mean, they did make a big deal out of the fact that the jeweler had two guns to defend himself, but somehow I did not predict that. Getting a bit ahead of myself, but it’s all in this chapter, so: La Carconte dead, Cadereusse shipped off to the galleys, all because they couldn’t be satisfied with free $45,000 from a guy that wifey dearest says her husband totally forgot about anyway. Wonder if our dear Count saw this coming--that his diamond would be their absolute ruin because they so greedy. I doubt he thought any better of him anyway.
And who gets the blame? Why, poor, blood-covered Bertuccio, who just wanted to help the jeweler--who wasn’t quite dead yet. Poor sap actually has a moment where he goes “Why are you arresting me? I just told you I’m innocent!!” but circumstantial evidence is overwhelming, so off he goes. Guess no good deed goes unpunished, and speaking of which…
Poor Asunta!! Bertuccio’s sister, burned alive by her adopted son’s friends for a little cash, and left to die overnight as they robbed her. Jesus that’s awful. Edmond’s hot take is that it’s karmic punishment for… not returning the baby to its mother after Bertuccio saved it? Weird, I kind of assumed she was in on the whole “let’s suffocate the baby” thing. Like, unwanted, out-of-wedlock baby, what are we going to do? Abortion wasn’t an easy option in the 1800s so let’s just straight up kill the baby. But I guess that is not their assumption? Maybe the suffocation was accidental or, more likely, maybe Villefort did it without mom’s consent. Unless of course I’m confused and the woman is Renee, but I was pretty sure Renee was dead at this point unless I got the timelines mixed up, and also the context of her walking in from outside and embracing him didn’t seem like “hey its me ur wife.” Not to mention that she’d have been pretty easy to find if so.
Anyway, Bertuccio agrees he should’ve looked for the mother but he might’ve gotten in trouble due to the murder (of the wrong guy clearly) so he didn’t, and apparently Villeforts are just awful in general and he hopes he never sees Benedetto again. (We are 100% going to see Benedetto again, but if he’s lucky maybe Bertuccio won’t).
OK, now here’s a point on which I am confused. This abbe, this Buzony or something, to whom Berty made his confession. Seems to be the same guy who gave the Macbeths the diamond. Which… I was pretty sure was Edmond. Who seems to be hearing this story for the first time. Actually really seems, not just the usual “seems.” But Bert told the abbe everything. Also, I feel like Bert would recognize the Count and the abbe as the same person within that much smaller time period. So… I’m misunderstanding something. Here’s the possibilities, as I see them.
Edmond is not the diamond-abbe, he just sent him (I really seem to recall him reacting as if he was hearing about his own father though, so I don’t like this one)
The diamond-abbe and the confession-abbe are two abbes using the same name because he’s in league with Edmond
The two abbes were not using the same name and I am wrong about that because I’m bad with names, as we have amply seen
Edmond is even more of a master of disguise than I realized and can fool the same person looking closely at his face twice within a year, and also this story is 100% not new to him and all of his intense curiosity is feigned (I do not think it is this one?)
Bertuccio is faceblind like me and Edmond has a terrible memory and forgot this whole story (sounds legit it’s probably this)
If you know the answer and it’s not some Big Reveal later, feel free to tell me, haha.  Although you’re probably reading this like two weeks after I am writing it, and that’s just if you see it when it’s posted. Today’s July 3rd, 2020, I’m queuing it up on the 7th to be posted on the 13th. And who knows? Maybe someone’s reading this in the future? Still, feel free to comment whenever you’re reading it! Just in general--it’s pretty fun. No spoilers plz, but I feel like this particular thing is something I’ve just misunderstood, so it’s fair game.

!!!! Tell me more abt ur kouki headcanon!!! Omg I love it
Tumblr media
Oh sure!!! It's more of a fancanon, because I really don't have a canon basis for it, but it's based off a fanfiction I wrote almost four years ago!
The base of it comes from assuming that Kouki is two years older than Haruna, therefore ten years older than Yuuya (Haruna is eight years older than Yuuya). That's why I headcanon that Yuuya's parents had him when they were much older, like 40-45 age range.
The short version is this:
When Yuuya was about 13, his family found out his brother was dying from brain cancer (based off my own family experience, besides the crazy Yuuya part, though it was my grandfather that was sick) and so he, his sister, and his parents came to visit Kouki and his young wife, who I named Hinoka. During the one month they have left with Kouki, Hinoka notices creepy things about Yuuya, and as one thing led to another, she was super paranoid and terrified of Yuuya in her husband's final days to the point where she almost misses her chance to say her final goodbye. (She doesn't miss it tho!)
The LONG story without typing the whole damn fanfiction:
Kouki is very morally upright and strict, but tries to be gentle, kind of like the opposite to Haruna who is blunt and aggressive in her ways. Somehow, Yuuya was the only one able to get under kind Kouki's skin enough for Kouki actually hit him to stop him from torturing animals (which is fair in my opinion but anyway--). Though Kouki and Haruna thought violence was the only language Yuuya would respond to, and it was through this that Yuuya learned to be a subdued (quiet, respectful) person.
Still, treating his brother roughly is one of Kouki's biggest regrets, as he wishes that there was some other way to discipline him. (And due to society's disdain for mental illness he didn't want Yuuya to be called weird/crazy for seeing a therapist.) Now Kouki was only a strong part of Yuuya's life for nine years, as Kouki moved out when he was nineteen, running far away from family drama. He went on to become a successful businessman and made really good money, at least for his age. When he was twenty-two, he met and married Hinoka as well! He seemed to be on the way to a perfect, cookie-cutter life.
However, shortly after his twenty-third birthday, he found out he had a brain tumor and didn't have long to live. He made his wife promise not to tell anyone, as he didn't want to trouble them with it just yet (he saw it as a weakness and he hates being weak) and she agreed to it. His last month was spent in a hospital bed, and that's when Hinoka finally convinced him to let his family at least say goodbye, and that his time may be up soon. He knew it was finally time to be "weak", and asked her to tell them and invite them.
As quickly as they could, the Kizami family arrived. This would be the first time Hinoka would meet Yuuya, as he had been too "sick" to come to the wedding. At first, she is shocked by how much he resembles Kouki, and is fasinated by him for a short time. (It was like remeeting her husband back when he was healthy but... you know, quieter) But Yuuya really pays her no mind until he realizes how much her grief is paining her. He decides to have a little fun and play mind games throughout the month.
Examples are speaking to her harshly and judging her in private, then acting kindly around everyone else, purposefully antagonizing her emotionally by claiming to BE Kouki at one point (hc they sound similiar so when she was shopping {Kouki has been too weak to leave his bed for sometime} he asked to call for her on the speakers, claiming that he {as Kouki} was waiting for her there, but when she got there, no one was present), following her home in a disguise to scare her, and finally (I am so sorry) killing her and Kouki's dog.
Hinoka is convinced that Yuuya did all these things, but she doesn't have any proof. Throughout the fic she contemplates telling Kouki what is happening to her, but doesn't want him to worry. At the end (after the dog), she is scaried and furious and tells Kouki all about everything and how she just knows it's Yuuya and that she thinks he may kill her. The parents overhear this, and basically kick her out of the room (she is timid and a pushover tbh).
At the climax (the same day), she is trying so hard to scrap together some proof of Yuuya's actions, that she misses a call from the hospital. Still, she has a feeling that something is wrong and rushes back to the hospital. She arrives just in time to say her final goodbye and shortly after Kouki passes away. Despite their attitude towards her, Hinoka sees the family off after the funeral, which is when she sees Yuuya a final time. He smiles, and says "Until we meet again."

So wht is ur stance on like modern magick and thelema?
I’m a Thelemite, so I feel pretty good about The Law of Love and Will.
Modern Magick, meaning? A lot of what I see as “modern Magick” is “private practitioner making wild claims that cannot be verified, then demanding that everyone they tell this horseshit to take them seriously." Modern Magick can obviously be things other than this but, really since the 1970s, initiation has fallen out of style in favor of “self-initiation” which 99.999999% of the time really means “self delusion“ and not actually confronting anything that remotely resembles an initiation to an initiate. “All initiation is self initiation” is wonderfully true, but don’t fool yourself into thinking that “knowledge is wisdom” because you can read as many books as you want about driving a stick shift but I bet not a single person has ever jumped behind the wheel of a manual transmission car and immediately flawlessly executed a gear shift. And anyone who’s ever bothered to learn to drive a manual will tell you it is a fuck of a lot easier to have a teacher than not.
That being said; I fuckin’ get not wanting to join old Aeon magical orders. Many initiatory institutions are either bigoted or have a markedly bigoted history or an affiliation with bigots. Fuckin’ hell, Crowley is an awkward one for me because the stupid idiot said some of the most ignorant bullshit, but also invented the religion/philosophy where “Every Man and Every Woman is a Star.” and “Love is the Law, Love Under Will” neither statement at all being open to bigotry. In other words, life is super hard and there is good in the bad and plenty of bad in the good. For his ethical failings, Aleister Crowley wasn’t a pedo, he didn’t throw his wife in an asylum to rot and his mistreatment of women is greatly exaggerated by enemies of Thelema, and there is NO evidence that Crowley ever mistreated children, and blah blah blah jackin’ off is what he meant about killing babies and it’s well documented. So, Thelema is already way less awkward that most “Christian” denominations.
For me, Magick is bigger than “do a thing and you’ll get a thing” or “Christian dogma and prejudice in disguise”. I can’t explain it fully, because it’s like initiation. You cannot describe sight to someone who has been blind their whole life what seeing is like, nor can that person explain to you what not having eyesight is like.
So, as I’ve stated in a piece yet to be release here, we need to bring back initiation and we need to build new institutions with our interests and goals in mind so that we might progress forward into the light, and yet also, into the darkness.

Clayton Cortez was an ex-military mercenary working for Eaglestar who was hired to eliminate the villagers in Ujanka for interfering with Roxxon's pipeline work. Feeling remorse for his actions, Clayton killed his own men and spared the villagers. For his betrayal, he was kidnapped and sold to Dr. Aliana Alba of the Weapon X Project's Batch-H division.[3]
Weapons of Mutant DestructionEdit
Clayton was infused with the DNA harvested from Amadeus Cho's Hulk form and Old Man Logan as well as being subjected to the adamantium-bonding and being injected with nanites reverse-engineered from Lady Deathstrike's nanites that were also in the adamantium. Much of his brain was left intact so that he could be better disciplined.[4] Clayton's hybrid form resembles a gray-skinned Hulk with retractable claws and adamantium protrusions on his back, shoulders, and parts of his legs. Eventually, Clayton was released as H-Alpha who, along with his more primitive precursor H-Beta, fought Cho's Hulk form and the current team known as Weapon X, though H-Alpha proved superiority, killing H-Beta before engaging Hulk. Clayton regained much of his humanity, even though he tried to kill Dr. Alba, and soon fled the battle.[5][6]
Now calling himself Weapon H, Clayton set out to destroy every Eaglestar facility that carried information about him and his family. Dr. Alba caught up to him and injected nanites into his body so that he would not be able to resist her command.[7] He once again encountered the Weapon X team, but the new Wolverine manage to break him free. Clayton resumed his mission to destroy the Eaglestar facilities.[8]
Targeted by RoxxonEdit
While resisting the change upon joining Roxxon's archaeological expedition to find a Wendigo, Clayton assumed his Weapon H form and saved Roxxon scientist Dr. Ella Sterling from an Ur-Wendigo as Roxxon takes an interest in Weapon H. This also attracted the attention of Doctor Strange, who planned to deal with Weapon H and the Ur-Wendigo.[9] While Weapon H is getting Dr. Sterling to safety, the Ur-Wendigo caught up to Weapon H and took a bite out of his skin, causing the Ur-Wendigo to get larger. Doctor Strange showed up to help fight the Ur-Wendigo, but his magic attacks have no effect on it. Using Doctor Strange's Axe of Angarruumus, Weapon H went inside the Ur-Wendigo and killed it from within.[9]
Using the Brood that is in Roxxon's possession, Dario Agger had Dr. Baines unleash Brood-infected wolves, Brood Drones, Brood-infected Space Sharks, and a Brood-infected human named Blake, riding an Acanti, to attack Weapon H. With the Brood slain and the Acanti knocked out, Weapon H demanded answers from the Brood-infected human Blake, asking why Roxxon was pursuing him. Blake stated that Roxxon wanted Weapon H to work for them. After mentioning that those who are said to help people actually harm people, Weapon H has Blake forward a message to Roxxon to leave him alone. As Clayton is walking through the Redwood National Forest, Dario instructs Dr. Baines to "initiate the spawn" -- which awakens a spawn of Man-Thing.[10]
After doing some thinking, Clayton is attacked by the spawn of Man-Thing, causing him to turn into Weapon H. Dario speaks through the Fly-Spies, stating that this spawn of Man-Thing had its abilities enhanced with the DNA of Groot. When Dario states that he will find out who he is and who the woman looking for him is, Weapon H sets off the Man-Thing's immolation touch enough to cause a fire in Redwood National Forest. As Weapon H continues his fight with Roxxon's Man-Thing, a woman named Sonia runs into Dr. Sterling, who was also looking for Weapon H. After Weapon H subdues Roxxon's Man-Thing, he tells Dr. Sterling that nobody is supposed to find her, as it is confirmed that Sonia is Clayton's wife. Upon seeing Roxxon's Fly-Spies, Weapon H throws Sonia and Dr. Sterling into the water as he uses his power clap to put out the fires and defeat Roxxon's Man-Thing. A Roxxon aircraft then launches blades into Weapon H to reel him in. The pilot contacts Agger and states that they got Weapon H as Blake warns Dario that Weapon H kills everything. As Weapon H is flown away from Sonia and Dr. Sterling, Dario claims that Weapon H made a noble sacrifice, as he is a hero at heart.[11]
Collaborating with RoxxonEdit
As Weapon H is affected by an Elvish Binding Scroll, Dario Agger introduces himself to him and reviews his creation while also noting that the genetic material of Domino, Lady Deathstrike, Sabretooth, and Warpath are in him. He plans to find out who Weapon H is and plans to make a deal with him. When Weapon H states that every person who says that they want to help people only destroyed them, Dario wanted to destroy those who aren't human. When Weapon H starts acting up, Dario plans to do things the hard way as he has Dr. Baines proceed with a lobotomy. Dr. Baines does so as the effects of the Elvish Binding Scroll start to wear off. After Ella Sterling shuts down the power to the laboratory, Dario flees, leaving the scientist at the mercy of Weapon H. As Weapon H fights the security guards, he finds Blake and Roxxon's Man-Thing in cages as they beg for him to let them out. As Weapon H remembers them, Blake states that Dario used them as tools in exchange for being released from Roxxon's services. Weapon H slashes the cages and tells them that they are on their own. When security robots show up, Weapon H is assisted by Blake and Roxxon's Man-Thing even when Sonia and Dr. Sterling show up. After Weapon H regresses back to Clayton and explains that he had to keep his distance in the event that Roxxon targets her and their kids, Dario arrives, wanting the group to hear him out as he explains that Roxxon is wanting to obtain extraterrestrial resources, leading him to show the group a portal to an extradimensional region that has magic enough to power the planet for a million years. However, the monsters on the other side of the portal want to kill every human. Sonia advises Clayton to deal with the threat as he transforms into Weapon H.[12]
Dr. Baines reveals to the group that the portal leads to Weirdworld and that the damage to the facility has fractured the portal enough for creatures like the Skrullduggers to get through. Weapon H, Sonia Sung, Dr. Stirling, Blake, and Roxxon's Man-Thing leave the building. When an explosion happens after they are outside, Weapon H goes on the defensive as the Skrullduggers emerge from the portal and attack, and Blake and Man-Thing join the fight against them. The group discovers that the Skrullduggers are shapeshifters. When Weapon H goes near the Skrullduggers posing as kids, he is attacked by Captain America who thinks that Weapon H is going to harm the children. The two Skrullduggers shed their disguise and try to attack a woman until they are defeated by Weapon H and Captain America. After both of them are reprimanded for their actions by Sonia, Captain America and Weapon H agree to work together to fight the rest of the Skrullduggers.[13]
As Weapon H and Captain America continue their fight with the Skrullduggers, Weapon H thinks back to his childhood where he was beaten by his father, fought some bullies, and was beaten up by prisoners. As Man-Thing secures the defeated Skrullduggers, Captain America states to Weapon H that he was trailing some illegal shipments going from Stane Industries to Roxxon. After Dr. Sterling confirmed that the Skrullduggers came from the Skrull's planet, Dario Agger stated to Weapon H, Captain America, and those present that the Skrullduggers are an invasive species that have no protection under the Multiversal Mineral Rights Exploitation Agreement. Agger still wants Weapon H to deal with the Skrullduggers on behalf of his country as the entire multiverse wants them dead, while Captain America suggests that they follow the interstellar law by contacting the Alpha Flight Space Program. When the Skrullduggers resume their attack, Weapon H and Captain America go on the offensive while Blake and Man-Thing work to keep more Skrullduggers from coming through the portal. After most of them are defeated by Weapon H and Captain America, the Alpha Flight Space Program is contacted to pick up a live Skrulldugger specimen in an armored specimen transport for their xenobiologist to study it — only for Dario to have it bombed with missiles. This angers Weapon H and Captain America tries to calm him down. Captain America persuades him to take Dario's offer in order to be his soldier on the inside. When Weapon H and Dario go to check on Blake and Man-Thing 10 minutes later, they find that they have been assisted by Korg in taking out a few of the Skrullduggers. [14]
Journey to WeirdworldEdit
Weapon H hears from Korg that the Roxxon soldiers on Weirdworld are safe in a bunker. Weapon H states that he will undertake a mission in exchange for 1) Roxxon leaving him, Sonia, her kids, and her mom alone, 2) restoring the Brood-infected human Blake to normal, 3) 10 million dollars (for Blake?), and 4) Sonia and Dr. Sterling acting as mission control for the mission. In addition, Weapon H learns that Dario has brought in Titania and ex-S.H.I.E.L.D. operative Angel to help out on this field mission. After a talk with Sonia, Clayton is allowed to contact his kids and mother-in-law, this being secretly arranged by Captain America. As Weapon H leads the mission to Weirdworld, they are attacked by a tribe of blue-skinned humanoids who blame them for breaking the Earth and allowing the Skrullduggers to take their queen.[15]
Their captors are revealed to be the Inaku who come from the planet of the same name and have settled on Weirdworld, as Protector Hara mentioned that they blame Roxxon for the death of their fellow Inaku. After Weapon H regressed himself back to normal, he changed again and destroyed Protector Hara's orb, which was a gift from their queen. This led Titania to knock out Protector Hara which resulted in damage to the dome that protected their village from the Skrullduggers, as Clayton reprimands her. While Man-Thing, Korg, and Titania stay with the Inaku in case the Skrullduggers arrive, Weapon H takes Angel and Blake on a stealth mission to find the Roxxon outpost. After being contacted by Dario Agger, Weapon H tells Angel and Blake that Dario "showed his hand" by wanting them to also kill the Skrullduggers. Sonia states that there are three engineers and six Roxxon guards taking refuge, with one of them being Dr. Carrie Espinoza. After a power failure at Roxxon, Dario's latest contact to Weapon H alerts the Skrullduggers outside the outpost. After slaying some of the Skrullduggers, Weapon H, Angel, and Blake make their way into the Roxxon outpost, where they meet the engineers and soldiers there, to rescue them where they have found a way to harness the magic. Weapon H discovers that the magic that they are harvesting is coming from Morgan le Fay of Earth-15238.[16]
Weapon H was against the imprisonment of Morgan le Fay despite Dr. Carrie Espinoza's claim that she is the most dangerous sorceress who ever lived. When Weapon H starts to go on the attack, Angel states that she had no knowledge of what Roxxon was doing with Morgan le Fay -- who in turn advises Weapon H not to listen to Angel's lies. After revealing parts of her backstory, Morgan le Fay states that she found a way to tame the Skrullduggers until Roxxon invaded, took her captive, destroyed her palace, and caused the Skrullduggers to run wild. As Angel tries to prevent Weapon H and Blake from falling into Morgan le Fay's control, Morgan mesmerizes them, claiming that she can cure Blake, and reveals Weapon H's true and full identity of Clayton Cortez (not just "someone named Clayton"). Dr. Espinoza then has a soldier named Granville open the door, enabling the Skrullduggers to get in. After Weapon H blocks the entrance against the Skrullduggers, Morgan le Fay exposes the fact that Angel is actually Black Widow's clone using an image inducer, and claims that Captain America sent the clone to spy on Weapon H. Morgan still has Weapon H under her control and regains control of the Skrullduggers. After destroying the facility, Morgan le Fay leads a mind-controlled Weapon H and the Skrullduggers in an attempt to take over the world.[17]
Now under Morgan le Fay's control, Weapon H leads the attack on the Inaku village, where Morgan le Fay's appearance surprises Korg and Titania. As Morgan le Fay is a queen to the Inaku, they assist Weapon H in attacking Korg and Titania. As Weapon H faces off against Korg, Black Widow/Angel works to get Sonia to get through to Weapon H. Dario Agger takes control of the transmission, stating that he has a map to an escape route for them to use, only to lead them into a box canyon. After knocking out Dario, Sonia takes a speeder and heads to Weirdworld to get to Weapon H. After breaking free from Morgan le Fay's mind-control, Weapon H briefly leaves Weirdworld and returns to have Dario disarm the gun so that he could save the world and his own skin.[18]
After getting Dario to disarm the bomb, Weapon H watches as Dario transforms into Minotaur after taking an attack from Morgan le Fay. As Minotaur fights Morgan le Fay, Weapon H evacuates everyone through the portal. After everyone is evacuated, Weapon H is attacked by Minotaur, who states that he ruined everything. As Morgan le Fay's army starts to charge them, Weapon H leaves through the portal, stating to Minotaur "I did your job. Got your people back safe. You wanna stay over here like an idiot and fight to control a world you got no right to? You're on your own." Minotaur barely makes it as Weapon H and Sonia make sure that he pays them the terms of their contract. Dario does provide Clay and Sonia with money to their accounts and new identities. Clay vows that if Dario does anything to his family, he will tear down everything he has.[19]
HulkverinesEdit
In the "Hulkverines" miniseries, Clayton and his family are shown watching the news of Hulk's fight with the Avengers at a restaurant. When they head home, Clayton has a sneezing fit as he asks Sonia to take the kids on a ride. Once they are gone, Clayton heads outside and finds Bruce Banner nearby. Bruce states that the Weapon X project stole his work and used it on him as Clayton states that he was not supportive of that project. As Clayton starts sneezing again, he fights Bruce Banner until night falls and they both assume their respective Hulk forms. When Hulk tries to drain Weapon H's powers, he starts to catch his sneezing fit as well. It turns out that Leader had secretly infected Clayton with a gamma-altering virus. When Weapon H defeats Hulk, Leader arrives begging for Weapon H to finish him off. When Leader threatens his family as part of Plan C, he detonates some bombs near Weapon H in order to get away. Using his tracking skills, Clayton chases after Leader until he runs into Wolverine.[20] Wolverine makes the same accusation towards Clayton that Hulk made toward him. He breaks off the fight and catches up to Leader and Agent NG. As Leader teleports away, Hulk catches up to Clayton and attacks him before he could attack the Shadow Base agents. As Hulk does the job instead, Wolverine evacuates Clayton. At a gas station, Wolverine checks in on Clayton where Wolverine stated that he heard about Weapon H through the investigating that he did. Then they catch up to Hulk at the shores of Lake Erie. As Hulk attacks Clayton, the sun comes up causing Hulk to regress back to Bruce Banner as Clayton and Wolverine dive in and swim him to the underwater hideout of Clayton's family that was described as Plan C. Bruce Banner and Wolverine meet Clayton's family as a recuperating Agent NG learns that they are planning an experiment to do on Hulk and Wolverine.[21] As Plan C is being evacuated, an attack by a larger version of Leader's Humanoids impedes them. Weapon H prevents it from attacking his family as the Humanoid makes off with Wolverine and Bruce Banner. After Leader and Dr. Alba unleashed a mutated Hulk and Wolverine on Shadow Base Auto-Op WMD Facility BX91 in Central, Ohio using Green Energy Corp, Weapon H and Sonia catch up to Hulk and Wolverine. Weapon H fights them until he lures them towards Leader and Dr. Alba. When Weapon H destroys the teleporter in Leader's hand, Dr. Alba withdraws the nanobots that were placed in Wolverine and Bruce Banner and places them in Weapon H. It doesn't work on Weapon H as Leader repairs his teleporter enough to get himself and Dr. Alba away from Weapon H. With the threat contained, Weapon H reunites with his family.[22]
War of the RealmsEdit
During "The War of the Realms" storyline, Weapon H is among the heroes that are gathered by Captain Marvel to form the War Avengers. When Deadpool is introduced to Weapon H, he informs Deadpool not to mess with his tabletop RPG. When in the Sonoran Desert, Weapon H take down some Frost Giants.[23] The group went to confront Malekith the Accursed in Europe.[24] Malekith dodges the attacks of Weapon H and Winter Soldier. When the War Avengers return to Avengers Mountain after Malekith made off with the Venom Symbiote, Captain Marvel angrily flips Weapon H's tabletop RPG to the ground as she states that the War Avengers will fight to the last breath

[24 November 236 Before Age.  Extraliga.]
Zatte was not dead, though she wasn't sure how much longer that would last.
She was alone in a cavern near one of Extraliga's oldest cities.  The whole planet was currently being invaded by a mercenary fleet assembled by the planet Wist.  Zatte's wife, the Super Saiyan Luffa, was leading the defense against this invasion.  Zatte herself was a Dorlun, one of a reclusive species of survivalists.  The Dorluns had no interests on Extraliga, but Zatte had come to this planet anyway.  She believed that Luffa was more than a powerful warrior, but a watershed in the history of the universe.  It was more of a matter of faith than reason, but Zatte believed that Luffa's agenda was worth supporting at any cost, up to and including Zatte's own life.
She rolled onto her side and raised her hands to the light from a lamp she had set up earlier.  There were blisters on her palms, and the normally blue skin had become an unsettling shade of magenta, but she took comfort in knowing that the burns were only second degree.  The pain was intense, but at least it didn't look as bad as it felt.
"Well, you always wanted to burn for her," Zatte muttered to herself as she tried to get back to her feet.  Her movements seemed slow and sluggish, and this bothered her, but she refused to panic.  She would get the diagnostic tool out of the medkit and wait for it to tell her just how badly she was hurt.
Of course, the real challenge was going to be getting the diagnostic tool out of the bag with minimal use of her hands.  She was reasonably sure she could handle it with her toes, but that would mean removing the boots she was wearing, and the socks was wearing under those.  Zatte thought she could do it, but she wasn't sure how much time she had left.
The Shockmaster had come to Extraliga in search of the Recollector, a device which could retrieve objects lost in the distant past.  His aim was to bring back a magical artifact of such immense power that its very presence on Extraliga's surface would eradicate most of the life on the planet.  Luffa and Zatte had devised a two-pronged defense against this.  While Luffa intercepted the Shockmaster and his invasion force, Zatte would locate the Recollector first and sabotage it.  But the Shockmaster had managed an end-run.  During his fight with Luffa, he had been able to access the Recollector with his mind, and somehow input his instructions remotely.
Now, there were only minutes left before the Ur-Ember was drawn into the present day, where it would emerge in the cavern and kill everyone with its mystic emanations.  Zatte had tried to stop it, but nothing had worked.  Her last attempt to interrupt the power flow inside the device had done nothing but burn her hands and interrupt her psychic connection to her allies on Planet Wist.   They had been helping her make sense of the Recollector's ancient technology, but now she could no longer sense their presence in her mind.  The alchemical potion she had consumed to reach them must have worn off, or the Recollector's feedback had severed the connection, or...
As she struggled to remove her boots, she made the mistake of using two of her fingers, and cried out from the pain.  Tears streamed from her one good eye as she fought to stay calm.   When the Ur-Ember arrived, Zatte would be the first to die.  Dorluns viewed survival as a moral imperative, but while most of them chose to avoid danger, Zatte reveled in it.  The thrill of mortal peril was a challenge that she normally enjoyed.   Until now.
Now, all hope seemed lost.  The Recollector couldn't be stopped.  She could try again, but there was so little time.  Escape was impossible.  She'd have to reach a shipyard and get into space to reach a safe distance from the Ur-Ember.  Not even Luffa could save her.  Zatte could sense her wife's enormous ki as she battled the Shockmaster.  They were too evenly matched.  Luffa could prevail, but not quickly enough to help Zatte with the Recollector.  Indeed, that had been the whole point of their plan.  Going in, Luffa had no idea how long it would take to beat the Shockmaster.  Zatte had come to this cavern to ensure that Luffa could take her time on that angle.  Their plan had collapsed.
Zatte continued to work on her boots, and as she did, a very lonely feeling came over her.  She had been alone in the cavern this whole time, but she had never truly felt alone.   She had been able to sense Luffa's ki, and she had her telepathic conference for company.  Even without those, the mission of stopping the Recollector had given her a sort of companionship with the effort to save Extraliga.
Without that mission to drive her, the self-recriminations began.  She felt like a fool for coming here all by herself.  She hadn't wanted to bring along Extraligan soldiers for fear that they might attract attention from the invaders.  She didn't think they could be of much help, and she wanted to minimize any risks to their safety.  Besides, she was Dorlun enough to want to keep a low profile.  Luffa was a celebrity throughout the galaxy, but that didn't mean Zatte wanted to be one too.  These had all seemed like perfectly sensible reasons at the time, but now she would have liked to have someone else here, even if all they could do was treat her burns and talk to her while the world came to an end.
The truth was that she had insisted on tackling this mission by herself for purely selfish reasons.  She admired Luffa, and saw her defense of Extraliga and other worlds as a holy crusade.  The fact that Luffa herself didn't agree with this view only made it even more sacred to Zatte.  She would never be strong enough to truly fight alongside Luffa, but if she could make some important contribution, then maybe--
But none of that mattered now.  Zatte had failed Extraliga, just as she had failed her own people on Dorlu Prime.  She hadn't completely given up.  As she reflected on her failure, she had managed to remove both boots and one of her socks.   She had every intention of getting back to the Recollector and making one last try to stop it.  But this was more out of stubbornness than anything else.  She fully expected to die in this place.  All she could do now was struggle to the last.
With more effort than she expected, she rose to her knees and turned to find the carryall.  Nearby, the Recollector hummed and made several other strange noises as it made the final preparations to bring doom to this world.  The sounds of its operation had been echoing through the cavern this whole time, to the point where Zatte had almost tuned it out.
And so, she hadn’t heard the other person in the cavern with her.     It wasn’t until Zatte turned around that she realized she hadn't been alone after all.
*******
"This'll help with the pain, but I can't do much else for you.  You'll need a doctor."
"How did you get here, Keda?" was all Zatte could ask.
The Dorlun child shrugged as she put away the medicated gel and reached for a spool of bandages.  "Same way you did," she said.  "I was hiding in your carryall the whole time."
"Disguised as what?" Zatte asked.  Every Dorlun had a unique ability.  Zatte's was to manipulate energy.  Keda was a shapeshifter.  Apparently Zatte had underestimated her level of skill.
Keda held up the case that contained the medical kit.  "This," she said.  "I figured if you had seen two medkits in your bag, you wouldn't complain."
"That's impossible," Zatte said.  "I triple-checked the bag before I left."
"No, you double-checked it," Keda said.  "I guess you got distracted by your glorious mission.  Anyway, I'm here, and that's all that matters."
"You told me you didn't want any part of this," Zatte said.  "You said it was too dangerous."
Keda began wrapping Zatte's hands and shook her head.  "You and I are the only survivors of the colony on Dorlu Prime," she said.  I mean, there's probably other Dorluns out there, and I've been trying to find them with the subspace radio on the ship, but right now it's just you and me.  Well, Luffa too, I guess.  She married in, after all."
"Y-yeah," Zatte said.  The medication was taking effect, dulling the pain in her arms, but there was still a tear in her eye nonetheless.
"It didn't feel right letting you two come here without me.  I don't think Luffa's a xan-nil'Dor like you do, and even if she is, I don't think it's worth all our necks, but... well, we ought to stick together, right?"
"You could have just asked to tag along," Zatte said.  "I've been on this planet for weeks.  You're telling me you've been hiding in my luggage the whole time?"
"I snuck out to do some scouting," she said.  "Kept tabs on you while you were looking for this place, checking for anything you might have missed.  I thought about giving you a hand with the Recollector, but you seemed to be doing well on that.  So when you came down here I stayed in the bag and waited to see if you needed any help.  Then I heard you scream."
Zatte glanced toward the Recollector.  "It's going to bring the Ur-Ember here," she said.  "I thought I could redirect its energy, cut off it's power source, but..."  She held up her now-bandaged hands to complete the thought.
"But you managed to turn it on, right?" Keda asked.  “You have control over it.”
"Yes, but we can't cancel this program while it's in operation," Zatte said.  She tried to stand, but couldn't find the strength.
"Don't move," Keda said.  "That thing did a real number on you, Zatte."
"We're out of time!" Zatte said.  "Our only chance is to try what I did before."
"It didn't work before," Keda said.
"I know, but I was trying to be subtle about how I rerouted its power.  If I do something more drastic, it might--"
"It might kill you this time," Keda said.
Zatte swallowed hard and shut her eye.  "We'll all die if I don't do something."
Keda looked at the Recollector, then back at Zatte.  "I'll take a look at it.  I'm pretty good with computers.  If I can't come up with anything, we'll try it your way."

Far away, Luffa and the Shockmaster were still fighting.  Luffa's face was covered in blood, and part of her face was swollen and bruised.  The Shockmaster’s transformation had seemingly healed the injuries he had sustained earlier, but since then, Luffa had managed to deal him several new ones.  He was favoring his left arm, and gasping for air.  They stared at each other for a moment, then rushed in and attacked at the same time, their arms and legs moving in a blur.
She was winning.  She was sure of it.  With each engagement, she was getting a little bit more of an advantage.  She had trained for endurance, figuring that the key was to be able to go the distance against the Shockmaster, and so far that analysis had been correct.  His transformation had brought all his power to bear, but at the cost of that seemingly limitless stamina he had relied upon before.  It was almost the reverse outcome of their first fight.  The only difference was that their power was much more evenly matched in the end, meaning that Luffa couldn't put him away quickly.  All she could do was whittle him down until he succumbed to exhaustion.
Yesterday, that outcome would have satisfied her completely, but not now.  Now, she couldn't stop wondering if Zatte was able to shut down the Recollector.
It shouldn't have mattered!  If they died, then it would only be because they had been too weak to prevent it.   If Luffa were stronger, she could have beaten the Shockmaster and gone to help by now.  If the Extraligans were stronger, they could have taken a more direct approach to defending their planet.  And maybe they all were strong enough after all.  It wasn't over yet.  But it shouldn't have mattered to Luffa.  There was no dishonor in losing.  There was no reason to worry about it, especially when the fight was still up for grabs.
Even so, it still gnawed at the back of Luffa’s mind.  Not only Zatte, but the Extraligans she had met.  Places she had visited on the planet.    That stupid hockey arena she and Zatte had gone to.   Luffa caught herself wondering if the arena might have been damaged in the invasion.   Was she actually worried about the building?
For a brief moment, she thought she could finally understand the Shockmaster's goals.  He was absurdly old.   In this day and age, he was a relic that deserved to be forgotten, except he was too powerful to be ignored.  He wanted to bring back a world he had lost, because he couldn't bear to accept that it was gone.
She pitied him.  He had outlived everything that had given his life meaning, but he was too powerful to die.  Luffa often wondered if she was in store for a similar fate.  To live out a long life as an unbeatable warrior, with no one to fight, and nothing to prove.
Maybe that was why she was so worried about losing a damned hockey arena.  Deep down inside, she expected to go back there some day and pretend that it still held any significance to her.  The thought of an old Saiyan woman hobbling through a derelict sports venue sickened her.  She had half a mind to blow up the place today if they managed to win this war.
All this woolgathering allowed the Shockmaster to land a blow on Luffa's right ear.  She paid him back for it, but the sharp pain and momentary loss of hearing reminded her of the way her mother used to discipline her as a little girl.  Her mother had warned her about letting sentiment dull her combat instincts, but somehow Luffa couldn't bring herself to focus on that lesson.  All she could think about was how her mother had been dead for years, and Luffa was probably the only one left in the universe who remembered her.  When Luffa died, it would be as if her mother had never existed.
The Shockmaster nearly got her left ear, and Luffa swore under her breath as she counterattacked. What made her furious wasn't her mother, or the hockey arena, or any of the other distractions.
It was that the distractions actually seemed to help her fight somehow.  The anxiety, the worry, the frustration, it all seemed like fuel being heaped onto a fire.   Her thoughts drifted back to something she had said to her mother in a dream: "Why am I burning?"
And in the dream, her mother's answer: "Because you do."
It made no sense at the time.  It still didn't.  It was only a dream.  But it stuck with her anyway.  And somehow, as she pushed the Shockmaster closer and closer to his defeat, it seemed true to Luffa, even if she couldn't explain how.  She didn’t question it.   She simply allowed herself to feel, and to burn, and to fight on.
*******
Only a few minutes had passed, but Keda felt like she had been working for hours.  This was probably due to the effects of the vial of potion she had taken from Zatte's supplies.  One dose was enough to allow Zatte to enter a psychic communion with their allies on Planet Wist, but-- like a good Dorlun-- Zatte had packed extra, just in case something went wrong.  It had been brewed specifically for Zatte's biochemistry, but fortunately Keda was close enough for it to work on her too.
As a result, she found herself in curiously existing in two realities.  While she was standing in front of the Recollector in the cavern on Extraliga, she was simultaneously existing in a roadside bar in someone else's imagination.   Time seemed to flow differently in this state, which had given her a chance to update the others and get a basic introduction to the Recollector's operation.
"This reminds me of the diagnostic programs on the star yacht," she said as she examined the Recollector's interface display.  Most of the time, you can pause the sequence and have the computer rearrange the order of instructions to follow.  But some stuff can't be canceled, like an engine shutdown.  Once you're committed, it's not safe to stop halfway.  You have to let it finish before you can move on to do something else."
"Are you saying this is a safety feature, Keda?" asked M'ranga.  Keda had only heard of her.  It had been Keda's understanding that she was a revolutionary guerilla who wore a gawdy costume, but Keda thought it looked pretty cool, although it wasn't nearly as colorful as she had been told.  She also seemed a lot less chipper than Keda would have expected, although that was probably because of the situation they were in.
"It might be," Keda said.  "I'm just thinking out loud.   I mean, the Ur-Ember's dangerous, but even if the Recollector was just bringing a pottery shard back from the past, that would still take a lot of energy, I bet.  At least as much as a starship engine.  Cutting the process short might have been just as dangerous as letting it finish."
"Ruddy brilliant.  Real glad you dropped in to tell us that, kid," said Scotch Woodcock.  He looked like an unmade bed, if people slept with black leather sheets.  She disliked him almost immediately because of the cigar in his mouth.  Dorluns took a dim view of smoking, but there was a concerned look in his three eyes when she explained what had happened to Zatte, and this softened her first impression of the man.  Also, it occurred to her that he had lived much longer than she had, and if she didn't find a way to deal with the Recollector, he was going to outlive her no matter what damage he did to his lungs.
"I'm just saying we need to quit thinking about how to undo this," Keda explained.  "It's already happened.  All we can do now is figure out where to put all that energy once it gets here.  Redirect it someplace safe.  Like venting drive plasma during an overload."
"What you're describing sounds like the power Zatte possesses," said Tobiko.  Keda had heard he looked like some kind of swamp monster, but that description didn't seem to fit at all.  She wondered if people in this roadhouse could assume whatever appearance they wished.  The idea amused her enough to want to try altering her own appearance, but then she remembered that she already had that ability in the real world.
"You're right, but she'd never be able to handle energy on the order of magnitude we're talking about.  Luffa might have the capacity, but she's busy, and I doubt she'd know how to do it.  It'd be nice if we could just send it all away to someplace until we had time to deal with it.  Wait..."
She stared at the Recollector and put a finger over her upper lip as she considered it.  The others stared at her expectantly.
"What are you thinking, Keda?" M'ranga asked, unable to bear the suspense.
"Well, this is basically a time machine," Keda said.  "It only works one way, past-to-present, but we can still use that.  We've been worrying about stopping the Ur-Ember before it gets here and kills everybody, but 'before' and 'after' can be whatever we want them to be."
She placed her hands on the Recollector's surface and began entering commands.  "Yeah... I think this can work.  Let's just hope the Shockmaster doesn't show up again to try to stop us.  I’m sure Luffa can keep him busy while I set this up."
"The hell are you talkin' about, lass?" Woodcock asked.
"I'm setting the Recollector to run another retrieval," Keda explained.  "But before that, I'm adding in another step to wait for a really long time.  Let's say, a billion years."
"What good will that do?" Tobiko asked.
"At the end of the billion years," Keda went on, "the Recollector will follow my next instruction, which is to retrieve the Ur-Ember.  From this cavern.  From this date in time, about a few minutes from now."
Woodcock was even more confused than before.   "Bloody... hang on a minute," he pleaded.
"I think I understand," Tobiko said.  "The Ur-Ember will arrive in that cavern very soon, but as it emerges into our era, it will immediately be plucked back into the timestream by the Recollector in the future."
"But it'll still arrive on Extraliga eventually," M'ranga objected.  "Now, or a billion years from now, it'll still be dangerous to anyone living on the planet's surface!  That's not a solution! We're just kicking the can down the road!"
"It's the best we can do," Keda said.  "Besides, in a billion years, Extraliga's sun will be hotter than it is now, and Extraliga will be too hot to support life.  It'll be a barren wasteland by then.  There won't be anything left for the Ur-Ember to kill."
"Oh," M'ranga said sheepishly.  "That's different."
"But what about the Extraliga of the present?" Tobiko asked.  "For this plan to work, the Ur-Ember must arrive in this time, if only for a moment."
"I was hoping you could tell me," Keda said with a shrug.  "I only know the Ur-Ember's radiation is dangerous.  I'm guessing a short burst is safer than a long one, right?"
He nodded.  "I can only make educated guesses, but I believe most of the population would survive a brief exposure, especially from a distance.  However, you and Zatte would be right there when it happens.  At such close range--!"
"We'll have to r-- we'll have to risk it," she said with a sigh.  "I won't have time to get Zatte to safety.  From the sound of it, timing is everything.  I'll have to stay with the Recollector and set the schedule manually.   That way I can be sure the Ur-Ember leaves as soon as it shows up.  With any luck, we'll make it."
She finished making her preparations, and dragged Zatte to the base of the Recollector, figuring that its alien composition might make provide some protection.  When there was only a minute remaining, she asked: "How do I disconnect from your telepathic link?"
"We've been over that with Zatte, kiddo," Woodcock grumbled.  "We're with ya to the end, whatever happens."
She glared at him with a severe look that belied the difference in their ages.  "My people are survivors," she said sternly.  "Don't disrespect what Zatte and I are doing here by getting killed.  If we’re dying here, then the least you can do is live.  If not for yourselves, then do it for us, okay?"
Woodcock swallowed hard.  "Awright, awright, don't get yer knickers in a twist.  You wanna go it alone, fine.  Anything else?"
Keda considered this for a moment.  "If you see Luffa, tell her what happened.  Tell her this was the best we could manage.  She'll understand."
A few moments later, the roadhouse was gone from Keda’s mind, leaving her to her task.  Zatte lay at her feet, half-asleep from the medication Keda had given her.  Either it was stronger stuff than Keda thought, or Zatte's condition was worse than she realized.  It was probably better this way.  There wasn't much Zatte could do from here on.
In the last seconds remaining, Keda keyed in her best guess of the exact moment of the Ur-Ember's arrival, and said a prayer.  Then she placed her hands on the Recollector's surface... and watched.

Eventually, Clayton was released as H-Alpha who, along with his more primitive precursor H-Beta, fought Amadeus Cho's Hulk form and the current team known as Weapon X, though H-Alpha proved superiority, killing H-Beta before engaging Hulk.
Ella Stirling from an Ur-Wendigo as Roxxon takes an interest in Weapon H. This also attracted the attention of Doctor Strange, who planned to deal with Weapon H and the Ur-Wendigo.[9] While Weapon H is getting Dr. Stirling to safety, the Ur-Wendigo caught up to Weapon H and took a bite out of his skin, causing the Ur-Wendigo to get larger.
Ella Stirling, who was also looking for Weapon H. After Weapon H subdues Roxxon's Man-Thing, he tells Dr. Stirling that nobody is supposed to find her, as it is confirmed that Sonia is Clayton's wife. Upon seeing Roxxon's Fly-Spies, Weapon H throws Sonia and Dr. Stirling into the water as he uses his power clap to put out the fires and defeat Roxxon's Man-Thing. A Roxxon aircraft then launches blades into Weapon H to reel him in. The pilot contacts Dario Agger and states that they got Weapon H as Blake warns Dario that Weapon H kills everything. As Weapon H is flown away from Sonia and Dr. Stirling, Dario claims that Weapon H made a noble sacrifice, as he is a hero at heart.[11]
After Ella Stirling shuts down the power to the laboratory, Dario flees, leaving the scientist at the mercy of Weapon H. Stirling show up.
After Dr. Stirling confirmed that the Skrullduggers came from the Skrull's planet, Dario Agger stated to Weapon H, Captain America, and those present that the Skrullduggers are an invasive species that have no protection under the Multiversal Mineral Rights Exploitation Agreement.
Ella Stirling acting as mission control for the mission.
