@killertwin wanted my drunk koala of a son.

he tried not to make a habit of day drinking (or drinking at all, really), but it was a beautifully rainy and overcast day --- and what was the point of spending an afternoon not getting wasted? sure, his archer drinking game would’ve been more amusing with kai by his side but he’d been... busy; and tristan was never particularly skilled at combatting boredom. though, he was overjoyed when the door to their apartment opened, grinning lazily as he threw his arms up in the air. “baaaaaaabe,” he laughed, flopping back on the couch, “y’took too long!”

❝   kai   !   kai   !   ❞   eager   footsteps   could’ve   been   heard   as   soon   as   the   front   door   slammed.   knowing   his   parents   weren’t   back   from   the   store   yet   to   yell   at   him   for   engaging   in   magic   learned   by,   his   father’s   words,   an   abomination   that   shouldn’t   have   been   born.   one   of   two   of   the   parker   siblings   to   not   see   his   big   brother   as   a   burden   upon   the   coven’s   line.   it   doesn’t   bother   him,   the   looks   from   his   siblings   for   doing   what   they   refuse.   kai   is   seen   as   special   to   joey.   he   knew   where   kai   would   be,   almost   falling   into   a   routine.   he   should’ve   knocked   first   before   entering   his   brother’s   room   but   his   excitement   left   no   room   for   boundaries.   ❝   guess   what   ?   guess   what   ?   you   remember   that   jerk   i   told   you   about   in   school   ?   remember   i   was   having   a   hard   time   learning   the   fire   spell   ?   i   did   it   today   !   it   was   on   accident   though...   i   caught   his   shirt   on   fire   but   it   went   out,   i   promise.   ❞   he   knows   he   shouldn’t   be   proud   of   himself   for   nearly   setting   a   kid   on   fire   but   he’d   been   working   so   HARD   on   this   spell   for   days.    ❝    ------------------   but   don’t   tell   dad.   you   promise   you   won’t   tell   dad   ?   he   might   get   mad.   ❞

   Her lips pulled into a concerned look as she watched him, from what training as a therapist she knew the signs, something was wrong. There was no other explanation, slowly approaching as not to scare him any further Harley moved to develop him in a hug. “Daddy---?”She mumbled, her thick brooklyn accent showing through with her concern. “It’s okay, everythin’ is fine,”She mumbled, her lips brushing over his ear. Harley knew enough to know there had to be underlining conditions but up to this point, she had no idea how bad it was. “I’m here. Yer Harley is right here. Talk ta’ me, please?”She murmured, her hand running over his back. Seeing him like this hurt her in ways she didn’t know she could feel, all she wanted was to take some of his burden for her own to make it easier to deal with.
