Oh to read a fanfiction that's similar to a fanfiction I like, with changes in dialogue, writing style, creative approach!

Oh to see fanart that's similar to another piece I like, in a whole different art style and a complete different vibe!

Oh to see animations, pottery, embroidery, photographs, and so so so much other things that are similar to others of their medium, yet so different!

Oh to have creative minds work together, alongside one another, taking inspiration, approach similar things without the fear of judhement!

Go forth and do what you love! Go forth and make your fantasies reality, even if someone else made them already! There's no shame in sharing a mind!

"someone already came up with this idea :( now i cant make it" dont care. i would like to see 2 of them. i would like to see multiple, perhaps even many of them. because its kind of swag to see how different people approach the same idea

I feel like the best thing about tumblr is that it already is a hellhole.

There’s only stuff on your dashboard that you actually wanna see. You look at your dash and see that someone blessed it with some paw beans. Or art. Or writing. Or horrible memes. Whatever kind of blogs you follow for whatever reason.

Tumblr already is a shithole of memes and random stories and doodles and writing and so much, really.

Personally I feel way less pressured to try and hold a reputation. I’m a messy person on a chaotic website and that’s all that matters

I actually watched a "this is how you draw properly" type video once. And it was just. The weirdest art style in my personal opinion.

Genuinely I don't want to hate on other people's art styles, everyone has their preferred styles obviously.

And drawing a surreal thin waist and stick legs and a normal sized head was just. Not for me.

Please istg "you art sucks heres how you do it right" is such a bitch move because I KNOW someone who doesn't like that style they're watching takes it for 100% true, tries to work with the style they don't like and looses interest in drawing all together.

If you do that kinda video titles and don't see anything wrong with it, lease Clickbait your ass to some trashpile because it's not THEIR ART that sucks. It's YOUR MENTALITY that sucks.

i hate negative language in art tutorials. "why you suck", "why this is WRONG!" clickbait ass titles. exhausting, and phrasing like that at especially a young age did loads of damage to my mentality working with art. idk i don't have a good way of expressing what i mean and i think most people don't care, but to me it is one of the most subtly evil things

Honestly him getting smth from dollar tree for you is like the most loving thing imo??? I would never want someone I love pay for my nails (smth I've seen frequently with Mike headcanons), or to get my hair done. Mike would never, do smth like that, nails don't last long enough to be worth it probably. Especially in his mindset, because he's been living on a survival mindset for so long already. He wants to make you happy, yes, but it would most likely be more quality time. He'd take you on dates to Sparky's. If he saves up, maybe that fancy-looking pizza place in the city. He'd get you trinkets he found when shopping; maybe a small plush of your favorite animal, or the chocolate bar you love so much, or maybe he found a book you've been looking for for weeks now but never saw it in stock anywhere. He's broke as hell but he knows the little things you enjoy, and by god if he can financially recover from it then he'll get you that book, or the chocolate, or the plushie. Simply because it made him think of you. He saw it, knew you like this thing, and he gets it for you because he knows it'll make you happy, no matter how cheap it is. The thing that makes Mike Schmidt so lovable is not that he would do anything for you no matter the cost. The thing that makes him so lovable is that he memorizes your favorite things, so when he gets a hold on these little details, he'll be able to see your genuine smile and happiness.
