you should kill yourself if you spend 12 minutes sorting around your notes on your desk, making sure they look messy but also the prettiest ones are on top, posing your textbook open and having the most "academia" looking web page or lecture slides on your laptop screen before taking a picture and posting it on your social media story while quietly scrolling through songs to put with it.

the True and eternal King is born
written down and conserved for us to read, to be able to “believe...” in the True illumination of the Son.
Today’s reading of the Scriptures is the 2nd chapter in the book of Matthew:
Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem, in the province of Judea, at the time when King Herod reigned. Not long after Jesus was born, magi, wise men or seers from the East, made their way from the East to Jerusalem. These wise men made inquiries.
Wise Men: Where is this newborn, who is the King of the Jews? When we were far away in the East we saw His star, and we have followed its glisten and gleam all this way to worship Him.
King Herod began to hear rumors of the wise men’s quest, and he, and all of his followers in Jerusalem, were worried. So Herod called all of the leading Jewish teachers, the chief priests and head scribes, and he asked them where Hebrew tradition claimed the long-awaited Anointed One would be born.
Scribes and Priests: An ancient Hebrew prophet, Micah, said this:
But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
are no poor relation—
For from your people will come a Ruler
who will be the shepherd of My people Israel.
Herod called the wise men to him, demanding to know the exact time the special star had appeared to them. Then Herod sent them to Bethlehem.
Herod: Go to Bethlehem and search high and low for this Savior child; and as soon as you know where He is, report it to me so that I may go and worship Him.
The wise men left Herod’s chambers and went on their way. The star they had first seen in the East reappeared—a miracle that, of course, overjoyed and enraptured the wise men. The star led them to the house where Jesus lay; and as soon as the wise men arrived, they saw Him with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. They unpacked their satchels and gave Jesus gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
And then, just as Joseph did a few months before, the wise men had a dream warning them not to go back to Herod. The wise men heeded the dream. Ignoring Herod’s instructions, they returned to their homes in the East by a different route.
After the wise men left, a messenger of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream.
Messenger of the Lord (to Joseph): Get up, take the child and His mother, and head to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you it is safe to leave. For Herod understands that Jesus threatens him and all he stands for. He is planning to search for the child and kill Him. But you will be safe in Egypt.
So Joseph got up in the middle of the night; he bundled up Mary and Jesus, and they left for Egypt.
After a few months had passed, Herod realized he’d been tricked. The wise men were not coming back. Herod, of course, was furious. He simply ordered that all boys who lived in or near Bethlehem and were two years of age and younger be killed. He knew the baby King was this age because of what the wise men told him.
This sad event had long been foretold by the prophet Jeremiah:
A voice will be heard in Ramah,
weeping and wailing and mourning out loud all day and night.
The voice is Rachel’s, weeping for her children,
her children who have been killed;
she weeps, and she will not be comforted.
Joseph, Mary, and Jesus stayed in Egypt until Herod died. This fulfilled yet another prophecy. The prophet Hosea once wrote, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”
And after Herod died, a messenger of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt:
Messenger of the Lord: You may go home now. Take the child and His mother and go back to the land of Israel, for the people who were trying to take the child’s life are now dead.
So Joseph got up and took Mary and Jesus and returned to the land of Israel. Soon he learned that Archelaus, Herod’s oldest and notoriously brutal son, was ruling Judea. Archelaus might not be any friendlier than Herod had been. Joseph was simply afraid. He had another dream, and in this dream, he was warned away from Judea; so Joseph decided to settle up north in a district called Galilee, in a town called Nazareth. And this, too, fulfilled what the prophets have taught, “The Savior will be a Nazarene.”
The Book of Matthew, Chapter 2 (The Voice)
Today’s paired chapter of the Testaments is the 35th chapter of 2nd Chronicles that documents the rest of King Josiah’s life:
Josiah celebrated the Passover to God in Jerusalem. They killed the Passover lambs on the fourteenth day of the first month. He gave the priests detailed instructions and encouraged them in the work of leading worship in The Temple of God. He also told the Levites who were in charge of teaching and guiding Israel in all matters of worship (they were especially consecrated for this), “Place the sacred Chest in The Temple that Solomon son of David, the king of Israel, built. You don’t have to carry it around on your shoulders any longer! Serve God and God’s people Israel. Organize yourselves by families for your respective responsibilities, following the instructions left by David king of Israel and Solomon his son.
“Take your place in the sanctuary—a team of Levites for every grouping of your fellow citizens, the laity. Your job is to kill the Passover lambs, then consecrate yourselves and prepare the lambs so that everyone will be able to keep the Passover exactly as God commanded through Moses.”
Josiah personally donated thirty thousand sheep, lambs, and goats and three thousand bulls—everything needed for the Passover celebration was there. His officials also pitched in on behalf of the people, including the priests and the Levites. Hilkiah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, leaders in The Temple of God, gave twenty-six hundred lambs and three hundred bulls to the priests for the Passover offerings. Conaniah, his brothers Shemaiah and Nethanel, along with the Levitical chiefs Hashabiah, Jeiel, and Jozabad, donated five thousand lambs and five hundred bulls to the Levites for the Passover offerings.
Preparations were complete for the service of worship; the priests took up their positions and the Levites were at their posts as instructed by the king. They killed the Passover lambs, and while the priests sprinkled the blood from the lambs, the Levites skinned them out. Then they set aside the Whole-Burnt-Offering for presentation to the family groupings of the people so that each group could offer it to God following the instructions in the Book of Moses. They did the same with the cattle. They roasted the Passover lamb according to the instructions and boiled the consecrated offerings in pots and kettles and pans and promptly served the people.
After the people had eaten the holy meal, the Levites served themselves and the Aaronite priests—the priests were busy late into the night making the offerings at the Altar.
The Asaph singers were all in their places following the instructions of David, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun the king’s seer. The security guards were on duty at each gate—the Levites also served them because they couldn’t leave their posts.
Everything went without a hitch in the worship of God that day as they celebrated the Passover and the offering of the Whole-Burnt-Offering on the Altar of God. It went just as Josiah had ordered. The Israelites celebrated the Passover, also known as the Feast of Unraised Bread, for seven days. The Passover hadn’t been celebrated like this since the days of Samuel the prophet. None of the kings had done it. But Josiah, the priests, the Levites, all Judah and Israel who were there that week, plus the citizens of Jerusalem—they did it. In the eighteenth year of the rule of King Josiah, this Passover was celebrated.
* * *
Some time later, after Josiah’s reformation of The Temple, Neco king of Egypt marched out toward Carchemish on the Euphrates River on his way to war. Josiah went out to fight him.
Neco sent messengers to Josiah saying, “What do we have against each other, O King of Judah? I haven’t come to fight against you but against the country with whom I’m at war. God commanded me to hurry, so don’t get in my way; you’ll only interfere with God, who is on my side in this, and he’ll destroy you.”
But Josiah was spoiling for a fight and wouldn’t listen to a thing Neco said (in actuality it was God who said it). Though King Josiah disguised himself when they met on the plain of Megiddo, archers shot him anyway.
The king said to his servants, “Get me out of here—I’m badly wounded.”
So his servants took him out of his chariot and laid him down in an ambulance chariot and drove him back to Jerusalem. He died there and was buried in the family cemetery. Everybody in Judah and Jerusalem attended the funeral. Jeremiah composed an anthem of lament for Josiah. The anthem is still sung by the choirs of Israel to this day. The anthem is written in the Laments.
The rest of the history of Josiah, his exemplary and devout life, conformed to The Revelation of God. The whole story, from start to finish, is written in the Royal Annals of the Kings of Israel and Judah. By popular choice, Jehoahaz son of Josiah was made king at Jerusalem, succeeding his father.
The Book of 2nd Chronicles, Chapter 35 (The Message)
my personal reading of the Scriptures for Thursday, march 4 of 2021 with a paired chapter from each Testament of the Bible, along with Today’s Psalms and Proverbs
A post by John Parsons about healing, especially of the heart, the inner self:
Sickness of the soul is just as serious as sickness of the body, and indeed many of our physical sicknesses come from being sick at heart - by living in fear or despair, or by allowing unresolved guilt or anger to destroy ourselves. The Scriptures state that just as a body can become sick with illness, so can the soul: "I said, 'O LORD, be gracious to me; heal my soul (רְפָאָה נַפְשִׁי), for I have sinned against you'" (Psalm 41:4).
Note the connection between healing of the soul and the confession of sin in this verse. Often we are sick because of inner secrets that need to be brought to the light (1 John 1:9). "Therefore, confess (ἐξομολογέω, lit. 'confess out') your sins to one another and pray (εὔχομαι) for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person (i.e., tzaddik) works great power" (James 5:16). Being yashar - honest and upright - produces spiritual power and life. The word translated "pray" (euchomai) means to "wish (εὐχὴ) for oneself (or for another) the good." Confession (ὁμολογία) means bringing yourself naked before the Divine Light to agree with the truth about who you are. Indeed, the word homologeo literally means "saying the same thing" - from ὁμός (same) and λόγος (word). We need to confess the truth if we are to be free from the pain of the past.
Followers of Yeshua are called to be healers (Luke 9:1). The most common word for healing in the New Testament is therapeuo (θεραπεύω), a word that means to serve, to care for, and to restore to health. Unlike showy ministers who draw crowds to demonstrate the power of miraculous “faith healing,” spiritual healers take the time to listen to others, to hear their pain, and to extend compassion and grace to them. They help open the inner eyes of the heart by extending hope and a new vision about what is real... Indeed, lasting healing focuses less on being cured than on finding a hope that will never die.
What eternal good would it do, after all, to be "cured" of some disease if a soul was not also delivered from the power of darkness and sin? What would such "healing" mean, in light of the truth of eternity? After all, if the evil one may afflict people with sickness, surely he may also remove it to keep a person in a state of bondage... Some people, after frantically searching for a cure to their sickness, finally must let go and accept that they are going to die... If they have come to real inner peace, if they hold hope of eternal life within them because of the message of Yeshua, then even though they might not be physically "cured" in this world of shadows, they are indeed forever "healed" for life in the "high country" of the world to come... Fellowship in the Gospel
“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now.” (Philippians 1:3-5)
This poignant letter was written to a church that Paul founded early in his ministry to the Gentiles (Acts 16:12-15). He endured challenging opposition there, followed for days by a demon-possessed young girl, tossed into prison by an angry business community, beaten and locked immobile into wooden stocks (Acts 16:16-24).
Yet in that dark midnight while Paul and Silas sang the hymns of the faith, God struck the jail with an earthquake and opened both the chains and the doors of the prison. The head jailor became converted, and along with the successful businesswoman Lydia, the seed of a flourishing church was planted (Acts 16:25-34).
It is to these “saints” and the “bishops and deacons” of the church at Philippi that Paul writes. The church has matured enough over the years of Paul’s absence to have established leadership and a strong testimony in that pagan city. The “rememberance” of these faithful men and women gives rise to his thanks to God for their “fellowship in the gospel.”
May we never take for granted the sweet friends that we have known in our churches. Their fellowship is far more valuable than business or political contacts. Theirs is the bond of an eternal brother or sister—theirs is the friendship that is “closer than a brother” (Proverbs 18:24).
The apostle John understood this: “Truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ” (1 John 1:3). And because we share in a love for the Lord Jesus and walk together in the “light” of God’s truth, “we have fellowship one with another” (1 John 1:7). HMM III

REVELATION: 2021
...’Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth...see, the home of God is among the mortals.’ Hope you are staying sane. Meanwhile, from my war room (arf) inside a deep (astral) state within a non binary body...hallucinating realities...
Imagine, if you will, millions in a democratic country, who gladly make (and addictively want to) their private thoughts known via social media and are quite happy to tell random pollsters on the street their feelings on any subject of which they are asked. And plenty on which they are not. So pleased to be asked their righteous opinion, so ego led deluded that anybody might ‘like’ their words that they will spout the hatred their hearts feel on issues of the day and in their lives without a care where such information goes. They want to be heard and so, they are. Now imagine a computer driven listening and watching station with instructions from media masters, political leaders, and advertising companies paying close attention to the data gathered. Not actual facts as such but almost all emotion led opinions, collated to show the group mindset of a subsection of a country.
An algorithm can be created for what products would most likely appeal to that mass. Guns, (for random example), waterproof bibles, clothing for survivalists. You have direct knowledge of this already when You tube, your email, Alexa etc ‘suggest’ something you might/should like, based on what you have ordered, written, or spoken online. This year I have been getting dozens of spam emails for bad eyesight, Viagra type stuff and hair loss. HA. My age must be written somewhere. Not much stress on imagination to see how simple it is for organisations like the ex Cambridge Anal lytica etc to capture and utilise such info via Facebook. Or how enemies of a country could understand in no short order what makes a country really tick below the surface and how to manipulate those emotionally crippled, poorly educated AND those who seek power over others. Psychographic profiling...stop giggling at the back there...
Cui bono (who benefits) from seeding disorder? Follow the money, ‘it’s only business’. An algorithm which reveals just what people believe and who can then be exploited en masse as useful idiots to disrupt the usual inbred spastic normality of daily life in a human country. And it is dirt cheap because people WANT to reveal themselves and a rival country need only a minimum outlay of actual infiltrating agent provocateurs (many of whom will be actual natives.) A set up involving ‘sock puppets’ which serves the same purpose as APs...the legendary bots and fake identities rattling off tweets and false flag Facebook pages, rallying the disaffected faithful. ‘More evidence that the targeting works and predicts our behaviour’.
Now, once the group targets have been identified, seek out those among them who long for their moment of fame, their years of special importance and time of power. They will have already made clear their characters in online posts. Weakling Alpha types cowering their insecurities behind a loud voice. They hunger for followers, to be ‘liked’, (a basic larval human need for most) and admired for their rightness. Show them support, aid their voices to spread, mysterious donors for the message; Anybody not similar to you MUST be the opposite...and therefore, the enemy. Step by step, the daily hormone rush reprogrammes and the opinions become a self fulfilling prophecy, imprinting over all sense of reason. So now you have your moronic masses (and those dumb enough to want to lead them) most of whom are too stupid (or busy surviving) to realise they are being manipulated from afar by those who understand what is within and do not have their countries’ interests at heart. Bombarded with attack ads and propaganda... ‘Until they saw the world the way we want them to’...
Some of the leaders, big or small, will actually know they are puppets but will think it acceptable as long as they are given a little pat on the head via position and power. And a lot of money. Most, (whether mass or leader of such infiltrated countries) will be certain they are doing what they do in the name of Freedom and Democracy, while all the time, being used to further limit the same. Hilariously, bleakly, deathly ironic. From hubris to nemesis.
Yes, I am writing about Brexit and Trumpists and Q Onan. Et al, etc. Ad infinitum. Almost. Those in democratic countries who are ceaselessly working unbeknown to themselves against most of what they demand the most. ‘To take back control’. No children, you are creating a system where you will have less and less of this. ‘Follow the white rabbit’? No, you are following an algorithm in highly predictive patterns to those who own it and by extension, you.
‘I love my country!’ Do you? Why are you working free of charge for another who only wants to see your Union and partnerships broken? You vote for ridiculous men like Trump and Farrage because they are not the government and think you are rebel anarchists who will herald a new dawn of purifying flame...by substituting yet more slime who care only for their own power.
Someone points the finger, uses a trigger word and you do the Pavlov dog. Someone claps their hands and you pay unquestioning attention to their misinformation. Look over there, the world is being run by Satanic, child abusing faggot socialist liberals and foreign scum. Arf. So why are you obeying one of the above mentioned groups in the name of taking back control of your freedom? Because they already know how you will react. Because you created the infamous All Seeing eye yourselves by feeding information into the data base. Because you are so easy to trick into believing you are thinking for yourselves. ‘They’ don’t need to insert chips or vaccines with nano bots, they can just implant you with audio visual media and Nuremberg style rallies.
Take two blonde, fat stupid white men. Liars to the highest degree. One an entitled megalomaniac spoiled child and the other with half the megalomania. A glance at their track record and into their eyes should have told you all. Seems it didn’t. It took over four years and up to the week Trump left, for the rats to finally start jumping ship and for the band of the Titanic to start changing their tune. Twitter took four years to decide to cut off his fix. Nero played golf while America burned with Covid. 414,000 dead. Incitement to riot? Incitement to riot. Investigate his wannabe aristocratic family and do not allow his children anywhere near politics. Or Smug petulant Kusher anywhere near business.
Over 74 million still think Trump is a go to guy rather than a take a running jump at kicking him up his arse. He pardoned various criminals, including Bannon, (lest the fascist scuzzball fink on him)...and no pardon for Maxwell... who still could, unless she also should manage to ‘kill herself’ by accident fnord in prison. Seems likely Donald could run for office again, form his own party....What? Pence announced ‘Space Force’ personnel will be called Guardians; yes really...this year will see their first battle against the children of Thanos. Thanos, thy name is Trump. But lacking the compassion or humour.
Good morning to billionaire Mr Robert Mercer...a ‘Christian’ Conservative, gun lover, climate change denier, donor of over 100 million dollars to right wing candidates, 15 million of which went into Cambridge Analytica/Brexit and more to Breitbart and Trumps 2016 campaign. On the face of it, both he and his second daughter Rebekah would seem to have their fingers hard on many triggers of chaos, all of which serve only the rich and Russia. Breaking up partnerships, friendships, splitting unions and sowing discord. Check. Encouraging the working and middle class to merely shift their belief across to another band of disreputable rich guys by telling them how corrupt the other rich guys are. Look out! They might be Socialists! A lot of them are Europeans! They eat children and want immigrants to swarm over your town! Works like a charm. It would be so nice if billionaires would actually behave in a decent moral way (yes, sarcasm) and actually help out more, regardless of whether there is a return on their ‘charity’, instead of being the James Bond villain scum they act like.
And speaking of Q...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Arf. That narcissist prick in horns Jacob Chansley of Arizona...Shaman? Shame man. Bullhorn? Bullsh...t. No hanging lawmakers for you boy. He only eats organic food? So what? A lover of nature? Which is why he wears fur and horns and wishes death upon fellow Americans who are ‘traitors’. The Kremlin and Mercer have done a job as sweet as they did with Brexit divisions. Just let the rabid cretins do all their work for them splitting unions. Well, it’s what the CIA did so well against communism. Now it is our turn. Watching yanks and brits demand more control of their democracy while pulling it apart. Hilarious. Q Onan wanked their conspiracy to death and are now confused the Golden One has not led them to the revolution...not exactly levitating the Pentagon are you?
They believed the world is run by a paedo satan worshipping elite who plot against Trump and operate a global child sex trafficking ring. Yes really. So you can see how they appeal to the deranged righteous Christian gun toting hordes and internet savvy youth against the Deep State. Arf arf arf. The Kemlin will have studied key points as to what gets the average American and British goat and exploited it. People are so keen to share their beliefs, ideas and fears on social media that it is simple to collect and combine such info...(as happened with Cambridge Analytica) and use it for manipulating gain. Putin/Mercer probably told Trump the nature of the beast. ’If you want followers, do this...’Follow the algorithm. Dying covid patients continue to deny they even have it in South Dakota etc...that is how well the misinformation works.
Boris. A pathetic deal with Europe after an endless mantric blather of an ‘oven ready Brexit’. The chumocracy in full force as Ayanda Capital receive a 150 million pound PPE contract and provide no masks at all. And tax exile Tory donor (Lord) Ashcroft’s firm lands a 350 million pound vaccine contract (without a tendering process). Well, rather help a pal than put money into the National Health Service eh Boris? In 2019, the music industry brought in around 5.8 BILLION pounds, whereas the fishing industry netted (arf) 446 million. Sunak and Johnson have not seen fit to grant work permits for musicians to play in Europe and bands from outside will find it harder to get visas to tour in Plagueland. ‘Health’ secretary Matt Hancock said it was ‘Peculiarly unusual’ why British people went to work when they were ill. ‘Why in Britain do we think it’s acceptable to soldier on and go into work if you have flu symptoms...’Hmm. Germany pays 100 percent of sick pay. Czech Republic pays approx 60. The UK? 26. Good enough answer you prick? This guy also voted against food parcels for children, and then reversed only after an outcry.
The ever lovely Good Catholic William Rees Mogg called UNICEF’s feeding of poor English children during a pandemic at Christmas a ‘publicity stunt’. Hmm...well in 2019 the charity received 6.4 billion in contributions of which the Tory government of the UK donated 494 million. Perhaps UNICEF wanted to make a point that the UK has the largest number of food banks in the democratic world (over 2000, Germany has 900) and that it was a little beyond shameful that this was necessary. Still making money from selling birth control/termination pills in Indonesia after having said all contraception even in cases of rape was wrong Billy? The English gentleman also said he found the rise in food bank usage as being ‘rather uplifting’. Verrry Christian man. And that rotting British fish are ‘happier’ now out of Europe. A joke? The 2019 EU clampdown on tax avoidance will be avoided by him thanks to Brexit. Heavenly off shore interests, Glory! ‘How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God’. It easier for a camel to piss through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of god. Mark 10 21:25. Good luck Billy.
Met a Christian guy again who tried to tell me a parable of sorts. A little bird was flying and suddenly fell into a field dead, a cow walked over and took a dump on the little bird and the heat of the manure brought the bird back to life. Overjoyed he started to sing and was heard by a cat that killed it. The moral being, don’t interfere with God’s plan. I wondered if that had been where Christ went wrong...perhaps he should have left lepers to die...but obviously no...he was a special case. Aha, so nobody should try and help anybody ever if they have a problem or are suffering. No one should help their own children, no doctors or surgeons...but priests are allowed because the intermediaries through whom the pious live vicariously are essential workers. Great parable. If you believe in God, don’t help anyone else. That’s the story of Christ eh?
The man who told me the story also said Donald was a great guy...I need to remind him Trump has broken every single one of the Ten Commandments (apart from direct murder) The burning cross is a T for Trump... ‘The function of law and theology are the same: to keep the poor from taking back by violence what the rich have stolen by cunning’. ‘The function of theology? The recitation of the incomprehensible by the unspeakable to pick the pockets of the unthinking’. RAW. Natures God. Hilaritas Press.
The most wisdom from China since Confucius was tweeted several weeks ago to the smug frog like Nigel Farage who had written ‘Christmas cancelled. Thank you China.’ Upon which, the Middle Kingdom between Heaven and Earth replied ‘Wear a mask and stop talking s..t’. Wonderful...shame the state media Global Times then spoiled it by writing a pot/kettle article which suggested that such politicians...’care only about their political ambitions and see ordinary people as roadside grass.’ From a regime which mowed its own teenage children down in tank fire, ran over their bodies and sent the price of the bullets used in the execution of young rebels to their parents.
Meanwhile, back in the temple of ketamine far away from all that nonsense... Universe will respond non locally to my thought...All pure chance as exists cross divided in all encircling mode, arf...non-local effects...’the ‘maybe’ in between ‘yes’ and ‘no’ in Quantum Logic, of ‘solid’ ‘objects’ that are superimpositions of waves, according to one quantum model, and of ‘minds’ that are superimpositions of waves if the ‘minds’ are transactions involving brains and the brains are made of cells which are made of atoms which are made of electrons which are superimpositions of waves’. RAW THE NEW INQUISITION. Yes. And...
The hidden variable theory of consciousness asserts (1) there is a subquantal level beneath the observational/theoretical structure of ordinary quantum mechanics; (2) events occurring on this subquantal level are the elements of sentient being. Drs Walker and Herbert.
‘Consciousnesses in this model is not ‘in’ our heads. Our brains are merely local receivers ‘consciousnesses ‘is’ ‘an aspect of the non-local field’ The ‘ego’ then is the locally tuned in aspect of this usually not-tuned-in non local field.
‘...we find that our consciousness controls physical events though the laws of quantum mechanics.’ Magick. Rise in Love, ‘arouse the coiled splendour within you’ :-)

Total Surrender
Because we happen to face a New Year, we wonder what is in store for us. Is that this is going to be a great year, or a troublesome one? Am I headline ahead with the potential in my existence, or fall away? Is it is going to be similar to a year ago and the year before?
I believe that it is a pivotal year for Ignite Christian Church, along with each of you personally. I used to be recently criticised by way of a visitor for preaching excessively on righteousness, but I make no apology for this. I'm not here to use games or tickle ears, I'm here to encourage but additionally to challenge you. My vision simpler for you isn't to percieve you cruise through life and merely exist, rather it would be to talk to you thrive in their particular lives of God and also to inspire you and your loved ones in 2018 to get everything God has destined you to be.
I have sought the Lord posing for a piano key verse for in 2012, and I feel He has given us
Matthew 5:16 (ESV Strong's)
At the same time, let your light shine before others, so which these may see your good works and give glory to your current Father who is in heaven.
In 2018, Ignite Church is the light on a hill, so we are to shine boldly and brightly in this dark world. Another verse our leadership have received many times is this design…
Isaiah 43:18-19 (ESV Strong's)
"Remember not the former things, nor take into cosideration the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you don't perceive it?
I are going to make a way in the woods and rivers within the desert.
So it's time to stop thinking back, however good, however tough, and start looking ahead to precisely what the Lord has destined for our benefit!
Just as we face this New Year, what can be a help Ignite and also in us by ourselves?
GETTING INTIMATE WITH GOD
One of our greatest needs as people at large is usually to are aware that we're loved. Each one of us here must feel certain, deep down in our hearts, that someone loves us, cares on our behalf, and has our happiness at heart.
The need to be loved is at the centre of most human relationships. Men and women getting married, having families, having affairs, giving presents at Christmas, mentioning children, playing sport, joining clubs, joining Church, signing up to RSVP… all of us have want to be loved using some way. Any of course your us need to find out that somebody loves us.
That is how God designed us. He wants us to be aware that He loves each and every one most of us generated a passionate intensity too deep for words.
Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV Strong's)
The Lord your God is within your midst, a mighty one which will save; he will rejoice over you on gladness; he'll quiet you by his love; he'll exult over you with loud singing.
God created mortals with fellowship take into account-first with Himself and then with others. But we cannot fully love one another until we now have ourselves experienced the true love of God. We experience His love when we willingly surrender to His call it really does not have to be our Saviour, Lord, and Friend.
2018 is what happen in in order to get intimate with God. It's the year to totally surrender to Him!
ARE YOU AS SPIRITUALLY DEAF?
The fact is, many people cannot hear God with any measure of accuracy or confidence. A lot of Christians say, "God told me this or that," but how may they know? Fairly often Christians preface what is definitely their opinion with the term, "God told me…" as they be aware that we are capable of having no come again whether or not this were true. That's hardly God, that's often manipulation!
Of anyone else who say, "God told me to let you know this" during the last year, barely some would genuinely be God. Many good people tell me that they are never sure in case the Lord is chatting with them, if at all.
So this season, how can you foster an attitude and a life-style that allows the Lord to speak to you intimately as He promised He will? Must you may be a crazy nutcase to listen to God, and it is the one other alternative because spiritually deaf for being post?
After all not! Hearing God ought to be a natural part of each Christian's relationship using the Lord. You shouldn't be weird or excessive strange to have to hear God, and my experience is that many of the odd individuals are not likely hearing God clearly anyway.
But neither do you have to be spiritually hard of hearing. Religious people in church, even around the time of Jesus' day, never had an incredible track record of listening to God, that why Jesus quoted Isaiah in saying,
Matthew 13:14-15 (ESV Strong's)
Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that claims: "‘"You'll indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but rarely perceive." To get this people's heart has grown dull, and having their ears they'll barely hear, and their eyes they've closed, lest they should see having their eyes and hear with their ears and understand having their heart and switch, and I might heal them.'
Now, I want to provide you with one word that can transform your year. One word that may open your eyes to what God wants you to check out, one word that may open your spiritual ears to listen to Him. One word that, if you actually embraced it and utilized it, it usually takes the life span that you simply live right now and morph it straight into the life you've desire, the powerful, Spirit filled life your Father has destined you to stay at…
THE WORD IS SURRENDER
Charles Stanley writes, "Our intimacy with God determines the impact of our lives."
Surrender is defined as, "To yield to the facility, control or possession of another." (Miriam Webster's Dictionary)
Romans 12:1 (ESV Strong's)
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, via the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a job sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
The Greek word for present is paristemi which suggests to yield or surrender.
When I think of surrender, I always think of soldiers having their hands above their heads, yielding to the ability of their total conquerors. Now, each time a soldier surrenders there may be much fear. They have been fighting contrary to the enemy, killing and destroying, subsequently to yield or surrender means they place their heart into their enemy's control, with zero guarantees of survival or humane treatment. They take a chance, and their heart hangs within the balance.
Though not so when we surrender to Christ. We yield to Christ with the knowledge that He won't ever leave nor forsake us.
Psalms 9:10 (ESV Strong's)
And people who understand your name put their trust in you, quicker for you, O Lord, haven't forsaken those that seek you.
There are at least three reasons God seeks our surrender:
1. GOD DESIRES OUR FELLOWSHIP
God loves us and desires our fellowship and worship. If we hold something back from God, when we refuse to grasp to Him by surrendering our lives to Him, we are unable to know Him completely or fully experience His love.
James 4:7-8 (ESV Strong's)
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he'll draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Once we surrender to Him, once we yield our lives to Him, we're asked each one of Him. Once we decide to move close to the Lord, once we start to seek Him with the heart, He moves in close proximity to us.
2. GOD DESIRES OUR SERVICE
God wants our service for Him to be effective and fruitful.
The better we all know and love Jesus, the more practical our service will be, and the greater amount of He turns into our ministry. The closer we draw to God, the more impact our lives will have. The better energetically we nurture our relationship when using the Lord, the more the great mark we will leave behind.
Colossians 3:23-24 (ESV Strong's)
Whatever you do, work heartily, when it comes to Lord and never for man, that a little distance from Lord you'll take advantage of the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
Surrendering to God means more practical service, and this effect is what What i m saying is by surrendering to God grows your ministry.
3. GOD DESIRES TO BLESS US
God waits for the liberty to bless us.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 (ESV Strong's)
For I have knowledge of the plans I actually have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. You then will call upon me and are available and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all of your heart.
Note verse 13, seeking God with all your heart. This is surrendering to Him.
God is omnipotent, He's all powerful and might do anything, but He won't violate His own principles. He draws us to Himself so we are able to experience His love and forgiveness. He asks for our willing surrender in order that He may give us one of the best blessings He has got to offer.
We are sometimes like a toddler watching TV. Their parent comes and needs to bring them to be able to the zoo, however they resist since they're content just watching TV, ignorant of the wonderful experience awaiting them!
DON'T JOIN THE RESISTANCE
It is in your interests to submit to God today at the start of in 2012! However i resist, don't we? What is the reason that we wish to join the resistance instead of surrendering to a peron whose expressed desire will be to bless us not to harm us?
In all the blessings God has clearly take into consideration for us, why does anyone resist surrendering to God?
1. PRIDE
Pride is the key reason most people resist surrender.
I recall Kira learning to tie her shoelaces, saying, "I complete it mine self" and forcing us all late!
People think they know better than God and they can handle their lives better than He can, in order that they keep Him at a distance. Which is ironic, offered the mess most of our lives finally end up in, isn't it?
Proverbs 18:12 (ESV Strong's)
Before destruction a person's heart is haughty (prideful), but humility happens before honor.
God wants us to put our trust in him.
We insult God when we trust directly to resources, or the rest, to provide us through our problems. When we surrender our lives to God, we become his own chosen ones. He promises to listen to us when we call over to him.
2. FEAR
Others do not surrender as they fear what God does (or possibly not do) for them. They say that if they give God control, He'll make them do precisely what will make them most miserable.
Many apparently can trust God to give them heaven, but cannot trust Him enough to give them heaven the world over in a lifetime of fulfilment and joy.
Fear no matter what the Lord is a good thing. Fear of the long run is not. Can your trust in God exceed your fear money for hard times?
Proverbs 29:25 (ESV Strong's)
The fear of person lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.
We regularly treat God as a man, thinking He is over to punish us, or can make us suffer, or usually make us do things we hate just to show us who's boss. God is just not like that, so stop tarring Him with the same brush as you may possibly a frontrunner, pastor or politician.
John 14:27 (ESV Strong's)
Peace I leave together with you; my peace I share with you. Less in the country gives do I offer to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
3. UNBELIEF
Still others refuse to submit to Christ as they believe Satan's lie, which tells them that God is judgmental and can punish them for their mistakes.
Jesus says this about Satan…
John 8:44 (ESV Strong's)
He has been a murderer right from the start, and it does not stand in the truth, since there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks from his own character, for he's a liar and the daddy of lies.
Don't let your pride, fear or unbelief stop you from fully surrendering besides the Lord
IT'S TIME TO SURRENDER
God always has our greatest in mind. He will refuse us no good thing once we gladly submit to His will. He tells us, "‘I know the plans that I actually have quicker for you,' declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to offer an additional plus a hope"' (Jeremiah 29:11).
Romans 8:31-32 (ESV Strong's)
If God is for those, who will be against us? He who didn't spare his own Son but gave him up for those all, how will he not also with him graciously give to us things?
After we fully surrender to Him, He will withhold no good thing. After all, we will still face trials of many kinds, but He'll graciously help us triumph over them, and use the trials to build character and wisdom into our lives.
It is not a bad idea to to surrender to God, because once we do, we grow close to Him-which is His highest priority on our behalf-therefore we begin to have an impact on this world.
And right now, at the start no matter the New Year which happens to be the best time to fully {https://ignitechurch.org.au/total-surrender/ to Him and permit Him to fulfil our destiny!
I must do this every day. I constantly have to completely surrender my existence to Christ. In my existence I even have trusted a surprisingly large number of things, from my own talents and abilities to my profession to financial advisors.
When I fully surrender to Christ, when I fully trust Him for our provision, my future, my reputation and my blessings, that at this moment He can work in my behalf. Whatever I must face, if I can face them Jesus, I am going to content!
IT'S TIME TO REALIGN
Could this be the cry of a persons heart? Do you wish to understand the Savior and reside in the fullness of His blessing each day? You can. David wrote,
Psalms 34:10 (ESV Strong's)
Children lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
Young lions try their best, but they can also be young, strong and headstrong. This season, are you presently resolved to more than needed, try harder, do your best frequently, or are you ready to surrender and provides it all to Jesus?
When you boarded go away to Sydney from your local airport, and the pilot was just 1 degree as well as the east off, you'd land 17 km up to sea! A particularly good way the pilot can cause that enable you to arrive at your destination would be to constantly realign the direction whatever the plane.
At the start of this season, we need realignment. We constantly need realignment. We must be totally surrendering daily to God, and we can start out right now.
In case you have drifted in the devotion to the Savior a year ago and feel as even when you are grow more distant every day in the relationship with Him, then pray that He will draw you near once more. He knows your weaknesses, if you will tell Him that you really want Him to overcome your life, He will come to you within the mighty way and bring hope and light to your circumstances, it doesn t matter how dark and hopeless it may feel…
Isaiah 55:6-7 (ESV Strong's)
"Seek the Lord despite the fact that may be seen; call upon him while one is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him profits the Lord, he can have compassion on him, and then to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
IT'S TIME TO TAKE ACTION
Charles Blondin, the nice French tightrope Walker, became famous in 1860 for walking across 1 / 4 belonging to mile of tightrope stretched 160 feet above Niagara Falls. He performed the feat repeatedly in a variety of death defying ways, including on stilts, on any bicycle and blindfolded. He even carried a little stove and eggs across, and stopped halfway to use an omelet!
Then he took a wheelbarrow along the falls, and asked the huge crowd in the event that they believed he could carry a man in the wheelbarrow across Niagara Falls. They enthusiastically replied, "Yes, you're the greatest tightrope walker in the world."
"Ok!" He replied, "Who wants to get into the wheelbarrow?"
James 2:17-18 (ESV Strong's)
So also faith in isolation, whether or not this does not need works, is dead. But someone will say, "You've faith and I have works." Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
You've heard me demand total surrender this morning, and you can sit and applaud my fully committed heart. However today, I'm asking you to get involved in the wheelbarrow, I'm asking you to respond by not only listening, not only agreeing, not just thinking or resolving, but by stepping out and doing…
William Booth said, "The greatness of a person's power which is the simple way of measuring his surrender."
How great do you wish to be on this coming year? How surrendered are you prepared it certainly doesn't need to be?

Religious people in church, even back in Jesus’ day, never had a great track record of listening to God, that why Jesus quoted Isaiah in saying, Matthew 13:14-15 (ESV Strong's) Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: “‘“You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive.” For this people's heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.’ Now, I want to give you one word that can transform your year. One word that will open your eyes to what God wants you to see, one word that will open your spiritual ears to hear Him. One word that, if you truly embraced it and acted upon it, will take the life that you live right now and morph it into the life you’ve dreamed of, the powerful, Spirit filled life your Father has destined you to live…
THE WORD IS SURRENDER, TOTAL SURRENDER
Charles Stanley writes about total surrender, “Our intimacy with God determines the impact of our lives.” Total surrender is defined as, “To yield to the power, control or possession of another.” (Miriam Webster’s Dictionary) Romans 12:1 (ESV Strong's) I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. The Greek word for present is paristemi which means to yield or surrender. When I think of total surrender, I always think of soldiers with their hands above their heads, yielding to the power of their conquerors. Now, when a soldier surrenders there is much fear. They have been fighting against the enemy, killing and destroying, and so to yield or surrender means they place their life into their enemy’s control, with no guarantees of survival or humane treatment. They take a chance, and their life hangs in the balance. But not so when we surrender to Christ. We yield to Christ with the knowledge that He will never leave nor forsake us. Psalms 9:10 (ESV Strong's) And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. There are at least three reasons God seeks our total surrender:
1. GOD DESIRES OUR FELLOWSHIP
God loves us and desires our fellowship and worship. If we hold something back from God, if we refuse to draw close to Him by surrendering our lives to Him, we cannot know Him completely or fully experience His love. James 4:7-8 (ESV Strong's) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. When we totally surrender to Him, when we yield our lives to Him, we get all of Him. When we decide to move close to the Lord, when we start to seek Him with all our hearts, He moves closer to us.
2. GOD DESIRES OUR SERVICE
God wants our service for Him to be effective and fruitful. The more we know and love Jesus, the more effective our service will be, and the more He will grow our ministry. The closer we draw to God, the more impact our lives will have. The more energetically we nurture our relationship with the Lord, the greater the positive mark we will leave behind. Colossians 3:23-24 (ESV Strong's) Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Total surrender to God means more effective service, and this is what I mean by surrendering to God grows your ministry.
3. GOD DESIRES TO BLESS US
God waits for the freedom to bless us. Jeremiah 29:11-13 (ESV Strong's) For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. Note verse 13, seeking God with all your heart. This is total surrender to Him. God is omnipotent, He is all powerful and can do anything, but He will not violate His own principles. He draws us to Himself so we can experience His love and forgiveness. He asks for our willing surrender so that He can give us the best blessings He has to offer. We are sometimes like a young child watching TV. Their parent comes and wants to take them to the zoo, but they resist because they are content just watching TV, not knowing the wonderful experience awaiting them!
WHY WE RESIST TOTAL SURRENDER
It is in your interests to surrender to God today at the start of this year! But we resist, don’t we? Why do we want to join the resistance instead of offering total surrender to someone whose expressed desire is to bless us not to harm us? With all the blessings God has clearly in mind for us, why does anyone resist surrendering to God?
1. PRIDE
Pride is the key reason most people resist surrender. I remember Kira learning to tie her shoelaces, saying, “I do it mine self” and making us all late! People think they know better than God and that they can handle their lives better than He can, so they keep Him at a distance. Which is ironic, given the mess most of our lives finish up in, isn’t it? Proverbs 18:12 (ESV Strong's) Before destruction a man's heart is haughty (prideful), but humility comes before honor. God wants us to put our trust in him. We insult God when we trust in our own resources, or anything else, to deliver us from our problems. When we surrender our lives to God, we become his own chosen ones. He promises to hear us when we call out to him.
2. FEAR
Others do not surrender because they fear what God will do (or not do) for them. They think that if they give God control, He’ll make them do exactly what will make them most miserable. Many apparently can trust God to give them heaven, but cannot trust Him enough to give them heaven on earth in a life of fulfilment and joy. Fear of the Lord is a great thing. Fear of the future is not. Can your trust in God exceed your fear for the future? Proverbs 29:25 (ESV Strong's) The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe. We often treat God like a man, thinking He is out to punish us, or make us suffer, or make us do things we hate just to show us who is boss. God is not like that, so stop tarring Him with the same brush as you would a leader, pastor or politician. John 14:27 (ESV Strong's) Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
3. UNBELIEF
Still others refuse to surrender to Christ because they believe Satan’s lie, which tells them that God is judgmental and will punish them for their mistakes. Jesus says this about Satan… John 8:44 (ESV Strong's) He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Don’t let your pride, fear or unbelief stop you from fully surrendering to the Lord
IT’S TIME TO SURRENDER
God always has our best in mind. He will refuse us no good thing when we gladly submit to His will. He tells us, “‘I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope”’ (Jeremiah 29:11). Romans 8:31-32 (ESV Strong's) If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? When we fully surrender to Him, He will withhold no good thing. Of course, we will still face trials of many kinds, but He will graciously help us triumph over them, and use the trials to build character and wisdom into our lives. It only makes sense to surrender to God, because when we do, we grow close to Him—which is His highest priority for us—and we begin to have an impact on our world. And right now, at the start of the New Year is the perfect time to fully surrender to Him and allow Him to fulfil our destiny! I have to do this every day. I constantly have to fully surrender my life to Christ. In my life I have trusted many things, from my own talents and abilities to my profession to financial advisors. When I fully surrender to Christ, when I fully trust Him for my provision, my future, my reputation and my blessings, that is when He can truly work in my behalf. Whatever I have to face, if I can face them with Jesus, I will be content!
IT’S TIME TO REALIGN
Is this the cry of your heart? Do you want to know the Savior and live in the fullness of His blessing each day? You can. David wrote, Psalms 34:10 (ESV Strong's) The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Young lions try their best, but they are young, strong and headstrong. This year, are you resolved to work harder, try harder, do your best more often, or are you ready to surrender and give it all to Jesus? If you boarded a flight to Sydney from our local airport, and the pilot was just 1 degree to the east off, you would land 17 km out to sea! The only way the pilot can cause you to arrive at your destination is to constantly realign the direction of the plane. At the start of this year, we need realignment. We constantly need realignment. We need to be totally surrendering daily to God, and we can start right now. If you have drifted in your devotion to the Savior last year and feel as though you grow more distant each day in your relationship with Him, then pray that He will draw you near once more. He knows your weaknesses, and if you will tell Him that you want Him to take control of your life in total surrender, He will come to you in a mighty way and bring hope and light to your situation, no matter how dark and hopeless it may feel… Isaiah 55:6-7 (ESV Strong's) “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
IT’S TIME TO TAKE ACTION
Charles Blondin, the great French tightrope Walker, became famous in 1860 for walking across a quarter of a mile of tightrope stretched 160 feet above Niagara Falls. He performed the feat many times in a variety of death-defying ways, including on stilts, on a bicycle and blindfolded. He even carried a small stove and eggs across, and stopped halfway to cook an omelet! Then he took a wheelbarrow across the falls, and asked the huge crowd if they believed he could carry a man in the wheelbarrow across Niagara Falls. They enthusiastically replied, “Yes, you’re the greatest tightrope walker in the world.” “Ok!” He replied, “Who wants to get into the wheelbarrow?” James 2:17-18 (ESV Strong's) So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You’ve heard me call for total surrender this morning, and you can sit and applaud my fully committed heart. But today, I’m asking you to get into the wheelbarrow, I’m asking you to respond by not just listening, not just agreeing, not just thinking or resolving, but by stepping out and doing… William Booth said, “The greatness of a man’s power is the measure of his surrender.” How great do you want to be in this coming year? Can you offer God total surrender?

The Importance Of Being Loving
How to have discipline…
You're not going to be successful if you don't have discipline
Matthew 18:15: 15 “If your brother sins against you,*[Some manuscripts do not have against you.] go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.16 But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’*[Deuteronomy 19:15]17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.
John 16:1-3: 1 “All this I have told you so that you will not go astray. 2 They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God. 3 They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me.
There is a danger of not having love
Titus 1:15-16: 15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. 16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.
1 Corinthians 5:1-5; 9-11: 1 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that does not occur even among pagans: A man has his father's wife. 2 And you are proud! Shouldn't you rather have been filled with grief and have put out of your fellowship the man who did this? 3 Even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. And I have already passed judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present. 4 When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, 5 hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature*[Or that his body; or that the flesh] may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord.9 I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.
2 Corinthians 2:6-10: 6 The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient for him. 7 Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. 8 I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him. 9 The reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. 10 If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake,
Love seeks and restores
Galatians 6:1-4: 1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else,
2 Thessalonians 3:6-7: 6 In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching*[Or tradition] you received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, 8 nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. 9 We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to make ourselves a model for you to follow. 10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “If a man will not work,he shall not eat.” 11 We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies. 12 Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the bread they eat. 13 And as for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right.14 If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of him. Do not associate with him, in order that he may feel ashamed. 15 Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.
John 8:2-11: 2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
7 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 8 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
9 “No one, sir,” she said.
“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”
The Importance Of Love In Our Daily Lives
Love gives
Love forgives
1 Corinthians 13:1-8: 1 If I speak in the tongues*[Or languages] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,*[Some early manuscripts body that I may boast] but have not love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
Romans 12:17-21: 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”*[Dt 32:35] says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”*
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
You have to love the sinner and not love the sin
Treat others the way you want to be treated
Ephesians 4:1-2: 1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Hebrews 12:14: 14 Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
15 See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
Persue peace and avoid bitterness/offenses at all costs
Proverbs 4:23: 23 Above all else, guard your heart,
for it is the wellspring of life.
If you have no love, you're still saved, but you are NOTHING in the Kingdom of God
How to Restore The Fallen
Galatians 5:1;7;12-15: 1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. 7 You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth? 12 As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves! 13 You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature*[Or the flesh; also in verses 16,17,19,24]; rather, serve one another in love. 14 The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”*[Leviticus 19:18] 15 If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. 16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.
Galatians 6:1-5: 1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, 5 for each one should carry his own load.
Only Spiritual Churches/Believers can restore the fallen
The way to restore someone is to be Gentle
Sin is Sin. There is NO sin that is greater than another sin
Galatians 6:4 = Mind your own business
1 Corinthians 13:6: 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
When someone falls, You Complete the 3 Rs
- Rectify
- Reconcile
- Reinstate
Your not supposed to ignore the problem/sin but you do need evidence in order to address it; And don't kick them out of the Church because they did wrong. Instead restore them
Restoration = Fixing/Cleaning Up
1 Corinthians 5:13: 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.”*[Deuteronomy 17:7; 19:19; 21:21; 22:21,24; 24:7]
Deuteronomy 17:7: 7 The hands of the witnesses must be the first in putting him to death, and then the hands of all the to his brother. You must purge the evil from among you.
Deuteronomy 21:21: 21 Then all the men of his town shall stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and be afraid.
Deuteronomy 22:21: 21 she shall be brought to the door of her father's house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done a disgraceful thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father's house. You must purge the evil from among you.
Deuteronomy 22:24: 24 you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death—the girl because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man's wife. You must purge the evil from among you.
Deuteronomy 24:7: 7 If a man is caught kidnapping one of his brother Israelites and treats him as a slave or sells him, the kidnapper must die. You must purge the evil from among you.
When your mind is of love then you expect them to come back to the Kingdom
In order to restore someone:
- You need to (connect with/love) the person.
- Your motive must be pure
- You must avoid gossip
- You must not be quick to point out the trespasser's problem/sin
- You must be humble(Very Important)
- You must be meek
- You must be gentle
Restoring is about discipline not punishment
To Restore = To Discipline in Love
Agape Love Vs. Conditional Love
Agape = "Unconditional Love"/The way God & Jesus Christ love people, unconditionally.
Phileo = The "Effectionate Love" between close friends/A Human-natured kind of love; A form of "Conditional Love"
Storge = The "Effectionate Love" between parents and their children/A Human-natured kind of love; A form of "Conditional Love"
Eros = Lust/ The Creative, often sexual yearning, love, or desire/ A Counterfit/Corrupt/Fake/False Love designed by Satan in order to make people not experience TRUE LOVE/AGAPE LOVE/Christ's Love; A form of "Conditional Love"
The way you love other people is how you love yourself
Matthew 22:34-40: 34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’*[Dt 6:5] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’*[Lev 19:18] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Mark 10:17-20: 17 As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. 19 You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, do not defraud, honor your father and mother.*’”
20 “Teacher,” he declared, “all these I have kept since I was a boy.”
21 Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
22 At this the man's face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth.
Following the law of love will fullfill the rest of the laws of the Bible
Romans 5:5: 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
1 Corinthians 10:24: 24 Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others.
Your faith won't work if you have no love. It doesn't work
Matthew 25:42-43: 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
John 13:34-35: 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Ezekiel 28:11-17: 11 The word of the LORD came to me: 12 “Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says:
“‘You were the model of perfection,
full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
13 You were in Eden,
the garden of God;
every precious stone adorned you:
ruby, topaz and emerald,
chrysolite, onyx and jasper,
sapphire,*[Or lapis lazuli] turquoise and beryl.*[The precise identification of some of these precious stones is uncertain.]
Your settings and mountings* were made of gold;
on the day you were created they were prepared.
14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub,
for so I ordained you.
You were on the holy mount of God;
you walked among the fiery stones.
15 You were blameless in your ways
from the day you were created
till wickedness was found in you.
16 Through your widespread trade
you were filled with violence,
and you sinned.
So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God,
from among the fiery stones.
17 Your heart became proud
on account of your beauty,
and you corrupted your wisdom
because of your splendor.
So I threw you to the earth;
I made a spectacle of you before kings.
When you're selfish you don't take responsibility for your actions
How To Live In Harmony With One Another
Romans 12:16: 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.*[Or willing to do menial work] Do not be conceited.
If you want to prosper you must live in harmony with one another
Its OK to be a "Winner"
Winners are consistent
Matthew 5:9: 9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.
So the opposite of Matthew 5:9 must be "Cursed are the troublemakers, for they will be called sons of the Devil.
1. Be of the same mind
John 10:16: 16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.
The expression "Being on the same page" = "Being of the same mindset/thinking."
John 17:21-23: 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23 I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Christ's body is supposed to be one not in fragmented pieces
God loves everybody as much as He loves Christ
1 Corinthians 1:10: 10 I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.
Selfishness is Demonic
Matthew 6:33: 33 But seek first His kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Seek His Kingdom first which INCLUDES keeping harmony with one another then all things will be given to you
Seeking The Kingdom first means following His commandments first
Even if you do screw up on seeking His Kingdom first don't let you nor anyone else tell you that you're unworthy of God's blessings if you are confessing 1 John 1:9 when you mess up
Philippians 1:6: 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Meek = strength under control
Ephesians 4:1-4: 1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called—
Philippians 2:2: 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.
When you get offended you stop the blessings from happening in your life
Romans 16:17-18: 17 I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. 18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.
Living In Harmony
Mark 6:1-5: 1 Jesus left there and went to his hometown, accompanied by his disciples. 2 When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were amazed.
“Where did this man get these things?” they asked. “What's this wisdom that has been given him, that he even does miracles! 3 Isn't this the carpenter? Isn't this Mary's son and the brother of James, Joseph,* Judas and Simon? Aren't his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him.
4 Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown, among his relatives and in his own house is a prophet without honor.” 5 He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. 6 And he was amazed at their lack of faith.
Proverbs 13:10: 10 Pride only breeds quarrels,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
Luke 22:23-24; 26: 23 They began to question among themselves which of them it might be who would do this.
24 Also a dispute arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greatest. 26 But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves.
If You want to know God then master your love walk
3 John 1:9-10: 9 I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first, will have nothing to do with us. 10 So if I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, gossiping maliciously about us. Not satisfied with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers. He also stops those who want to do so and puts them out of the church.
A principle of a Kingdom Man over all is humility
If you want God to exault you then be humble
When you disagree with the teachings of the Holy Spirit, you will hinder your blessings in your life from happening
How To Love Unconditionally
Before you can love others, you have to learn how to love yourself
1 John 4:18: 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
Father = A man who converts someone to his way of thinking
Fear and brokeness always reproduces Fear and brokenes
Unconditional Love and Wholeness always reproduces Unconditional Love and Wholeness
A Wise person uses every oportunity to learn and grow from every experience
2 Timothy 2:1-3: 1 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. 3 Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 1:5-7: 5 I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also. 6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
1 Corinthians 4:14-17: 14 I am not writing this to shame you, but to warn you, as my dear children. 15 Even though you have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. 16 Therefore I urge you to imitate me. 17 For this reason I am sending to you Timothy, my son whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church.
How To Love Unconditionally
If you love unconditionally then YOU KNOW GOD
If you don't unconditionally love then YOU DON'T KNOW GOD
If you don't unconditionally love others then you don't unconditionally love yourself
You got to learn to love yourself before you can love others
Corinthians 13:1-7: 1 If I speak in the tongues*[Or languages] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
If you don't unconditionally love then your words mean nothing to God and to people
If you want to be something in the Kingdom then you need to unconditionally love yourself and other people
If you don't unconditionally love then your FAITH WILL NOT WORK
You can give 10% of your increase to your ministry but if your giving is not out of love/ if you don't unconditionally give everybody as well, THEN YOU WILL NOT REAP A RETURN
2 Corinthians 9:6-7: 6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
If you don't love people then you don't love yourself
If you aren't cheerful then you don't love yourself properly
Unconditional love, loves everybody equally, NOT JUST ONE PERSON
LOVE IS NOT A EMOTION
LOVE IS AN ACTION(NOT SEX)
Time does NOT HEAL ALL THINGS
Unconditional love CAN HEAL ALL THINGS if you allow it influence your mind and the way you think
People who are insecure have a love issue
Hatred manifests from Insecurity and Insecurity manifests from jealousy
When you sweet talk someone before you get into a POSSIBLE relationship with them, then you are playing games with their mind and disrespecting a personal boundary of theirs which is ungodly and demonic
Don't tell someone that you love them but instead show them that you love them
If you don't treat yourself with unconditional love before you're married, then you won't unconditionally love yourself when you are married; unless you get your mind right prior to getting married
When you worry/your mind is not at ease/rest, then your not unconditionally loving yourself
When you love yourself, your mind is at ease/rest
When you love yourself, you take care of yourself(MIND AND BODY)
The key to taking care of yourself is moderation in everything not going on fasts with all your desires
Having Control Over Your Mind/ Not Being Impulsive = A Healthy Body
Having No Control Over Your Mind/Being Impulsive = An Unhealthy Body
Help With Unconditional Self-Love
If you can't unconditionally love yourself then you are incapable of unconditionally loving other people
Leviticus 19:18: 18 “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.
Matthew 19:19: 19 honor your father and mother,’*[Exodus 20:12-16; Deuteronomy 5:16-20] and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.*[Leviticus 19:18]’”
Matthew 22:39: 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’*[Leviticus 19:18]
Mark 12:31: 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’*[Leviticus 19:18] There is no commandment greater than these.”
Luke 10:27: 27 He answered: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’*[Deuteronomy 6:5]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.*[Leviticus 19:18]’”
Romans 13:9: 9 The commandments, “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” “Do not covet,”*[Exodus 20:13-15,17; Deuteronomy 5:17-19,21] and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”*[Leviticus 19:18]
Galatians 5:14: 14 The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”*[Leviticus 19:18]
James 2:8: 8 If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,”*[Leviticus 19:18] you are doing right.
Romans 5:6-8: 6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
If God can unconditionally love you while you're still imperfect, then you can unconditionally love yourself
When you unconditionally love yourself, you don't try to be something you're not
If you feel small or like you're inadequate then you do not unconditionally love yourself
Unconditional Love starts in your interior/ your mind and goes out into exterior/your body.
Phillilippians 2:1-4: 1 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
You can give someone everything in the World but if you don't give them unconditional love then it means nothing
The way you love people is the same way you love yourself
Unconditional Love doesn't change
Unconditional Love is not attracted to people who's characters change
Today's Society's Flaws:
1. Appearance
1. Performance
2. Social Status
Unconditional Love values it's image; Unconditional Love values how it portrays itself;
Unconditional Love values how it's perceived by others
Acts 10:34-35: 34 Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism 35 but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right.
People need to be materialistic just as long as materials don't have you
Unconditional Love doesn't tollerate Abuse and Disrespect but seeks Unconditional Love and Respect
The way you treat and value others is the way you treat and value yourself
The only way you'll value your self-worth is if you realize you're made in His image and His likeness.
Genesis 1:26: 26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth,*[Hebrew; Syriac all the wild animals] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
When you lose your image then it's easy to pick up someone elses image and adopt it as their own
LOVE DOES NOT CONDEMN BUT LOVE SAVES & RESTORES
The personal dissatisfaction people have in their lives can only be satisfied by self love.
Your not qualified to be a spouse if you don't love yourself
Love yourself first and everything else will fall into place
James 1:22-25: 22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does.
1 John 1:3-9: 3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 We write this to make our* joy complete.
Walking in the Light
5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all*[Or every] sin.
8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.
When you do the Word, you know who you are in Christ
Forgotten = No Condemnation Towards Yourself
Relationship isn't the same as Fellowship
Relationship is through the blood
Fellowship is through mutual bond
To love one's self is the beginning of a lifetime romance
"I CAN" IS 100 TIMES BETTER THAN IQ
In order to love yourself, you need to:
1. Eliminate your self-criticism
1. Be positive
1. Acknowledge your effort
1. Don't worry
1. Trust yourself
2. Don't view and judge yourself by your gifts and tallents by view and judge yourself but your character
1. Forgive Yourself
You can't love others if you don't love yourself
Matthew 22:36-39: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’*[Deuteronomy 6:5] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’*[Leviticus 19:18]
LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT DOES NOT EXIST
A Man that DOES NOT LOVE himself cannot love his Wife and a Woman that DOES NOT LOVE herself cannot love her Husband
People who talk about and are concerned with their looks are insecure
A person that doesn't love themselves CANNOT LOVE YOU
In a relationship, YOU CANNOT HIDE WHO YOU REALLY ARE. So be careful who you get into relationships with because the real you will show.
Proverbs 23:7: As a man thinks within himself, so is he; or for as he puts on a feast, so he is
Hatred is the fruit of Anger/Rage
Love is the fruit of Joy/Happiness
The Golden Rule
Matthew 7:12: 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
You can't force change to develope in people
If you're not being tollerant of others then you aren't using the Golden Rule
Your flaws DO NOT represent who you are
Your Actions represent who you are
When you forget the goodness of God, then you lose your contentment
If you learn to unconditionally love yourself God will send you a lifelong spouse
Proverbs 22:24-25: 24 Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with one easily angered, 25 or you may learn his ways and get yourself ensnared.
Everything takes time to develope
Getting angered easily is childish and immature characteristic to develope that takes time to develope
Being slow to anger is what a FULLY DEVELOPED ADULT does because that's a mature characteristic that takes time to develope
Proverbs 16:32: 32 Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city.
People who are easily angered lack self-control
THE WORD OF GOD DOES NOT WORK FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE ANGRY
Psalm 37:8-9: 8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil.
9 For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.
Actions based off of anger are a work of evil
You are in control of your emotions and reactions. NOBODY CAN MAKE YOU DO ANYTHING. IT'S YOUR CHOICE
Proverbs 15:18: 18 A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel.
If you really love your neighbor as yourself you will be willing to change for the better
Proverbs 14:29: 29 A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man displays folly.
James 4:1-2: 1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? 2 You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God.
If Anger is within you, then there will always be fighting and war in your relationships and there will be NO PEACE
For Anyone Who Lack Favor With Others
YOUR PROBLEM IS NOT WITH OTHER PEOPLE. YOUR PROBLEM IS IN HOW YOU THINK AND HOW YOU LOVE YOURSELF
Love is NEVER SATISFIED with its current state of being but always desires to better itself but while it is getting better, it IS CONTENT
James 1:20: 20 for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
Leviticus 19:18: 18 “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.
People who hold grudges against other people hold grudges against themselves aswell
The way you treat people is the same way you love yourself
Galatians 5:14-15: 14 The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”*[Leviticus 19:18] 15 If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
James 2:8: 8 If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,”*[Leviticus 19:18] you are doing right.
Hurt people who have been raised being used to being emotionally damaged by people around them can't see God as being loving
Everyone is a product of their upbringing
Being raised in an environment of insults gives you insecurity
Being raised in shame gives you a guilty concience
Being raised in an environment of praise gives you appreciation
Being raised in an environment of Encouragement gives you self-confidence
Being raised in an environment of Understanding gives you patience
Being raised in an environment that is Just gives you the ability to be fair
Being raised in an environment that is Secure gives you the ability to trust
Being raised in an environment that is Approving gives you self-esteem
Being raised in an environment of Loving friendships enables you to give love to others
The Key To Loving Yourself
Ephesians 5:29: 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church—
Those who don't care about developing their unconditional love walk don't have a vision for their live
1 John 3:10; 14: 10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death.
You won't make it to your promise land if you can't unconditionally love everybody
Life = Zoe/The God kind of life in abundance to the
If you don't love yourself, you don't feel worthy and therefore you won't receive the promises of God
A Law is something that cannot be broken
Unconditional Love is a Kingdom LAW
Fans who look up to you will only look up to you as long as they don't see your flaws because they expect perfection/flawlessness from you
Friends who know you, understand that nobody is perfect/flawless and so they won't leave you when you mess up
As long as you care about what others think about you, you don't love yourself because you're insecure
Matthew 7:12: 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
You cannot give someone what you don't have
If you remain positive and cheerful in all your circumstances, your love for yourself increases exponentially
Negative people don't love themselves
Matthew 6:25-28; 31-34: 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life*[Or single cubit to his height]? 28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Worrying is a lack of faith
Optimistic people can turn any negative circumstance into a positive circumstance
When you love yourself, you know your self-worth
God cannot bless you if you worry
If you get a worried thought, DO NOT SPEAK IT
People who speak their worry open the doors for the enemy to bring their fears to pass like in [Job 3:25: 25 What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me.]
You determine what happens to you by what you speak
Proverbs 18:21: 21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
When you love yourself, you're honest with everyone
People who love themselves always try to improve and grow
People who love themselves like to have fun
People who love themselves don't show off
When you don't love yourself, you beat yourself up over the smallest mistake
When you abuse substances of any kind you don't love yourself.
Review:
In order to love yourself, you need to:
1. Eliminate your self-criticism
1. Be positive
1. Acknowledge your effort
1. Don't worry
1. Trust yourself
1. Don't view and judge yourself by your gifts and tallents by view and judge yourself but your character
2. Forgive Yourself
Faith is powered by love. If you don't have love then your faith then your faith will not work for you because your faith has no power and carries no weight in your prayers.
1 Corinthians 13:1-3: 1 If I speak in the tongues*[Or languages] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
1 John 4:7: 7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
If you don't love unconditionally then you don't know God
1 John 4:20-21: 20 If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.
1 John 4:11: 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
1 John 3:13-14: 13 Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. 15 Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.
16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 19 This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence
Life = Zoe/The God Kind of Life in Abundance to the Full till it overflows
Luke 6:27-31: 27 “But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.
32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even ‘sinners’ love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even ‘sinners’ do that. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even ‘sinners’ lend to ‘sinners,’ expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Proverbs 3:5-6: 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.*[Or will direct your paths]
You don't need money until you need it but you need faith everyday of your life
Love gives your faith the ability to work
If you want God to do excedingly and abundantly above all you can think of or ask for then you have to get your faith walk down
The only way you can grow is to put yourself in uncomfortable situations that enable you to grow
Love is an action and not just an emotion/word
1 Corinthians 13:1-13: 1 If I speak in the tongues*[Or languages] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Verse 1: If you speak in tongues but don't have love you are no better than a hiethan worshipper
Verse 2: If you have an abundance of faith but have not love you are nothing
Verse 3: Love gives unconditionally
Verse 4: Love Suffers long = long tempered/ isn't vengeful
Verse 5: Love is Kind/ Courteous
Love is not jealous of people
Love is not arrogant
Love doesn't keep record of wrongs
Verse 6: Love does not delight in peoples' skrew-ups.
Verse 7: Love always: Protects, trusts, hopes, and perserveires
Verse 8: Love never fails
Acts 7:51-60: 51 “You stiff-necked people, with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are just like your fathers: You always resist the Holy Spirit! 52 Was there ever a prophet your fathers did not persecute? They even killed those who predicted the coming of the Righteous One. And now you have betrayed and murdered him— 53 you who have received the law that was put into effect through angels but have not obeyed it.”
54 When they heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him. 55 But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56 “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”
57 At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, 58 dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.
59 While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep.
Luke 23:34: 34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”*[Some early manuscripts do not have this sentence.] And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
God is not unjust to forget your labor of love
1 Corinthians 12:25: 25 so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. 26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
John 3:30: 30 He must become greater; I must become less.
Love does not attribute evil thoughts towards others but thinks the best
Keeping no record of wrongs =
takes no worthless inventory
Most of our hurts are perceived hurts. They aren't even real. Most of our hurts are only in our minds
DOUBLE MINDED PEOPLE VERSES
SINGLE MINDED PEOPLE
James 1:1-8: 1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,
To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations:
Greetings.
Trials and Temptations
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.
Patience = Being the same in mind yesterday, today, and tomorrow
Double Minded = a divided mind
Single mind = whole minded
Double minded people think too much
Single minded people dwell only on God's Word
Double minded people take the lead ahead of God and always remain cursed
Single minded people let God lead their way so that they will always be blessed
Double minded people oporate off their feelings
Single minded people oporate off of wise knowledge
You cannot oporate in double mindedness and have the wisdom of God at the same time. It's impossible
Vision makes your life simple
Blindness makes your life hard
Double mindedness brings depression
Single mindedness brings joy
Double minded people are confused
Single minded people are secure
James 4:8: 8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Heart = Your thinking
In order to be single minded, you have to clean up your thinking
James 4:1-8: 1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? 2 You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
4 You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. 5 Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely?*[Or that God jealously longs for the spirit that he made to live in us; or that the Spirit he caused to live in us longs jealously] 6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
“God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble.”*[Proverbs 3:34]
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
Proverbs 3:34: 4 He mocks proud mockers
but gives grace to the humble.
Happiness is based off of your circumstances
Joy comes from the Lord
The more you draw near to God, the more you become single minded
The more you stray away from God, the more you become single minded
Acts 2:41-47: 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
The Fellowship of the Believers
42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
1 Corinthians 13:11: 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
Age has nothing to do with maturity
You will never be mature until you find someone mature to immitate
When you're immature you act like your life is a game
When you're mature, you take life seriously
Mature people monitor what comes out of their mouth
Immature people say everything that pops in their mind
James 3:2-5: 2 We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.
3 When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4 Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5 Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.
Only mature people are disciplined
One of the ways you can tell if a person is mature or immature is by what comes out of their mouth
When you're immature, your understanding is dulled
Ephesians 1:15-18: 15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit*[Or a spirit] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
In order to grow up, you're going to have to put work in
2 Peter 3:18: 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
1 Corinthians 3:1-2: 1 Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready.
Once you are mature, God can entrust you with more
You are not getting everything God has for you until you're fully matured
You're not mature if you cannot handle pressure
The first step to becoming mature is taking responsibility for your actions
The Church is not there to make you feel good but there to teach you to fully mature
Ephesians 4:11-13: 11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors who teach, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
God's word is supposed to be easy to interpret
Mark 11:23: 23 “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
1 John 4:7-12: [7] Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. [8] Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. [9] This is how God showed his love among us: He gave His one and only Son*[Or his only begotten Son] into the world that we might live through him. [10] This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for*[Or as the one who would turn aside his wrath, taking away] our sins. [11] Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. [12] No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
The Devil doesn't want us to know God/Love
The quality of your love is only tested when you're facing pressure
Once you know God/Love you will know hIs goodness
God's Love = Agape = "Unconditional Love"/The way God & Jesus Christ love people, unconditionally.
World's Love = Phileo = The "Effectionate Love" between close friends/A Human-natured kind of love; A form of "Conditional Love"
Family Love = Storge = The "Effectionate Love" between parents and their children/A Human-natured kind of love; A form of "Conditional Love"
Carnal Love = Eros = Lust/ The Creative, often sexual yearning, love, or desire/ A Counterfit/Corrupt/Fake/False Love designed by Satan in order to make people not experience TRUE LOVE/AGAPE LOVE/Christ's Love; A form of "Conditional Love"
The only people who know God are the people who Love UNCONDITIONALLY
Know = An Intimate Connection;
Don't rely on your gifts and telents to sustain your relationships
You cannot appreciate something that you don't understand
The way you view other people is a reflection of how you view yourself
You will only be attracted to people who think like you
Matthew 7:12: [12] So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
Ephesians 4:32: [32] Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Romans 5:5: [5] And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
Isaiah 43:25: [25] “I, even I, am he who blots out
your transgressions, for my own sake,
and remembers your sins no more.
When you truly forgive someone you don't remember it any longer
Remember = To keep record
When you're married, make sure you forgive your spouse
1 Peter 3:7: [7] Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
Luke 15:11-: [11] Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. [12] The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.
[13] “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. [14] After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. [15] So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. [16] He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything. [17] “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! [18] I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. [19] I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.’ [20] So he got up and went to his father.
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
[21] “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.*[Some early manuscripts son. Make me like one of your hired men.]’
[22] “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. [23] Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. [24] For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.
[25] “Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. [26] So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. [27] ‘Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’
[28] “The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. [29] But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. [30] But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’
[31] “‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. [32] But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”
How To Handle Conflict
Matthew 18:15-20: [15] “If your brother sins against you,*[Some manuscripts do not have against you.] go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. [16] But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’*[Deuteronomy 19:15] [17] If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.
[18] “I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be*[Or have been] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be*[Or have been] loosed in heaven.
[19] “Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. [20] For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”
You fulfilling your vision will require you to persevere through conflict
Judge yourself so you won't be judged
You cannot go to the next level and be holding animosity, grudges, and negative feelings towards others
Living By Faith
Genesis 12:1-4: [1] The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.
[2] “I will make you into a great nationality
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
[3] I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.”
[4] So Abram left, as the LORD had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Haran.
Jesus never came to bless you materially. Jesus came to bless you spiritually
Abraham came to bless you materially, not spiritually
God's blessings are not limited to one nationality
God wants to make you great
God can use your past pain to make your name great if you allow Him to
Blessed = Empowered to succeed
Cursed = Empowered to fail
Galatians 3:15-16: [15] Brothers, let me take an example from everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or add to a human covenant that has been duly established, so it is in this case. [16] The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,”*[Genesis 12:7; 13:15; 24:7] meaning one person, who is Christ.
Mistakes DO NOT END YOUR CALLING
God get's on your case when He has got something big for you
If you want God to order your steps, then be mature
Part of growing up is being obedient without questioning your authority

Answer: Joshua 1:1-9
You handle setbacks by preparing for a comeback
God wants to take you where you need to be
3 Things That Hinder You from reaching your destination that God promised you...
1. Complaining
1. Murmuring
2. Disobedience
God doesn't want you to remain in your wilderness

Joshua 1:1-9: [1] After the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, the LORD said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: [2] “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. [3] I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. [4] Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Great Sea*[That is, the Mediterranean] on the west. [5] No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.
[6] “Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. [7] Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. [8] Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. [9] Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Don't ask God to help you and then try to take things into your own hands. YOU WILL FAIL IF YOU DO BECAUSE YOU WILL BE DOING IT ON YOUR OWN
John 14:12-14: [12] I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. [13] And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. [14] You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
If you truly love God, you won't ask Him for atrocious
1 Corinthians 2:9: [9] However, as it is written:
“No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him”*[Isaiah 64:4]—
Isaiah 64:4: [4] Since ancient times no one has heard,
no ear has perceived,
no eye has seen any God besides you,
who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.
Whenever you sin, apply 1 John 1:9 into your daily life whenever you sin(To sin = To miss the mark) And keep pressing on towards your destination in God's favor
1 John 1:9: [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
John 16:33: [33] “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Love In A Team
1 Peter 4:7-9: [7] The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. [8] Above all, love each other fervently, because love covers over a multitude of faults. [9] Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.
Fervent = Intense; passionate
Certain faults cannot be brought into a marriage
1. Unforgiveness
2. Anger
3. Selfishness
4. Opposission
5. Undisciplined
6. Arrogance
7. Thoughtlessness
If God wants to give you something great, you shouldn't be afraid to accept it
John 13:34-35: [34] “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. [35] By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Follow = Mimic
Luke 6:31: [31] Do to others as you would have them do to you.
The only reason you need to Love other people is BECAUSE YOU ARE COMMANDED TO
1 Corinthians 13:4-8: [4] Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. [5] It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. [6] Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. [7] It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
[8] Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
Take delight in honoring eachother
1 John 3:14-18: [14] We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. [15] Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him. [16] This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. [17] If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? [18] Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
If your love is based off of reasons, your love will fail because reasons don't last forever and therefore your foundation you built your love on is unstable
What Does Love Look Like
To walk in Love is to walk in God’s Character
1 John 3:18: [18] Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
You cannot love others unconditionally if you cannot unconditionally love yourself
You cannot consistently perform in a manner towards others that is inconsistent with how you see yourself
1 Corinthians 13:1-8: [1] If I speak in the tongues*[Or languages] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. [2] If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. [3] If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,*[Some early manuscripts body that I may boast] but have not love, I gain nothing. [4] Love is patient, love is kind.

Even ‘sinners’ lend to ‘sinners,’ expecting to be repaid in full. [35] But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
Romans 2:4: [4] Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?
James 4:2-3: [2] You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. God's Great And Special Plan For Your Life
Genesis 37:1-11; 18-22; 28: [1] Jacob lived in the land where his father had stayed, the land of Canaan.
[2] This is the account of Jacob.
Joseph, a young man of seventeen, was tending the flocks with his brothers, the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives, and he brought their father a bad report about them.
[3] Now Israel loved Joseph more than any of his other sons, because he had been born to him in his old age; and he made a richly ornamented*[The meaning of the Hebrew for richly ornamented is uncertain; also in verses 23,32.] robe for him.
[4] When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him.
[5] Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. [6] He said to them, “Listen to this dream I had: [7] We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it.”
[8] His brothers said to him, “Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?” And they hated him all the more because of his dream and what he had said.
[9] Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. “Listen,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”
[10] When he told his father as well as his brothers, his father rebuked him and said, “What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?” [11] His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter in mind.
[18] But they saw him in the distance, and before he reached them, they plotted to kill him.
[19] “Here comes that dreamer!” they said to each other. [20] “Come now, let's kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns and say that a ferocious animal devoured him. Then we'll see what comes of his dreams.”
[21] When Reuben heard this, he tried to rescue him from their hands. “Let's not take his life,” he said. [22] “Don't shed any blood. Throw him into this cistern here in the desert, but don't lay a hand on him.” Reuben said this to rescue him from them and take him back to his father.
[28] So when the Midianite merchants came by, his brothers pulled Joseph up out of the cistern and sold him for twenty shekels*[That is, about 8 ounces (about 0.2 kilogram)] of silver to the Ishmaelites, who took him to Egypt.
IT'S OK TO BE DIFFERENT
There's a special...
1. Person inside you,
2. Plan for your life
3. Problem/Problems for you to overcome
The world wants you to conform the social norms
God wants to take you places; GREAT PLACES
When you diligently seek God, He is able to do the miraculous in your life
Romans 12:2: [2] Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
LIFE IS UNFAIR
JOSEPH WAS...
1. Hated
2. Cast Down
3. Sold into Slavery
4. Harassed
5. Falsely Accused
6. Emprisoned
Despite all those circumstances, He still triumphed by God
God allows persecution to happen you to enable you to grow
Genesis 39:7-14: [7] and after a while his master's wife took notice of Joseph and said, “Come to bed with me!”
[8] But he refused. “With me in charge,” he told her, “my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care. [9] No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?” [10] And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with her.
[11] One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. [12] She caught him by his cloak and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house.
[13] When she saw that he had left his cloak in her hand and had run out of the house, [14] she called her household servants. “Look,” she said to them, “this Hebrew has been brought to us to make sport of us! He came in here to sleep with me, but I screamed.
Genesis 39:20: [20] Joseph's master took him and put him in prison, the place where the king's prisoners were confined.
But while Joseph was there in the prison,
Genesis 50:20: [20] You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
Romans 8:28: [28] And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,*[Some manuscripts And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God] who*[Or works together with those who love him to bring about what is good—with those who] have been called according to his purpose.
God is working on your behalf
Psalm 37:23: [23] If the LORD delights in a man's way,
he makes his steps firm;
Psalm 121:5-8: [5] The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
[6] the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
[7] The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
[8] the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
Psalm 105:17-19: [17] and he sent a man before them—
Joseph, sold as a slave.
[18] They bruised his feet with shackles,
his neck was put in irons,
[19] till what he foretold came to pass,
till the word of the LORD proved him true.
It's the tough times in life that will either make you or break you
God wants to take you to a place in life where everything you put your hands to proves to be successful
Your effort is not in vain
A Lesson Learned Won't Be Repeated
Beware Of The Selfish Love
2 Timothy 3:1-9: [1] But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. [2] People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, [3] without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, [4] treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— [5] having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
[6] They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, [7] always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth. [8] Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth—men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. [9] But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
Selfishness is the main root of treaturous

Titus 1:15-16: [15] To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. [16] They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.
Works of love is where it counts. Not in professions of love
Having Fellowship Of His Suffering
Philippians 3:1-14: [1] Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you.
[2] Watch out for those dogs, those men who do evil, those mutilators of the flesh. [3] For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh— [4] though I myself have reasons for such confidence.
If anyone else thinks he has reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: [5] circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; [6] as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for legalistic righteousness, faultless.
[7] But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. [8] What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ [9] and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. [10] I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, [11] and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
[12] Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. [13] Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, [14] I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Dog = One who has immoral motives
There's power in Christ's resurrection
Acts 14:22: [22] strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.
If you cannot handle persecution, then you cannot handle prosperity
1 Peter 4:12: [12] Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.
2 Timothy 3:12: [12] In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
Don't be surprised when different forms of pressure hit you
Pressure hurts, just don't stay in the pain
Don't fight your suffering! Suffering is a part of life!
Isaiah 59:19: [19] From the west, men will fear the name of the LORD,
and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory.
For he will come like a pent-up flood
that the breath of the LORD drives along.*[Or When the enemy comes in, like a flood / the Spirit of the LORD will put him to flight]
2 Timothy 4:5: [5] But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.
Ephesians 6:13: [13] Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Don't head towards affliction but let affliction head towards you
2 Corinthians 7:2-4: [2] Make room for us in your hearts. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have exploited no one. [3] I do not say this to condemn you; I have said before that you have such a place in our hearts that we would live or die with you. [4] I have great confidence in you; I take great pride in you. I am greatly encouraged; in all our troubles my joy knows no bounds.
2 Corinthians 12:7: [7] To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. [8] Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. [9] But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. [10] That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
God wants to exault you beyond anything you can imagine
Infirmity = Human Weakness
2 Corinthians 7:5-7: [5] For when we came into Macedonia, this body of ours had no rest, but we were harassed at every turn—conflicts on the outside, fears within. [6] But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus, [7] and not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. He told us about your longing for me, your deep sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was greater than ever.
2 Corinthians 1:1-11: [1] Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
To the church of God in Corinth, together with all the saints throughout Achaia:
[2] Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3] Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,
[4] who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. [5] For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. [6] If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. [7] And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.
[8] We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. [9] Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. [10] He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, [11] as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our*[Many manuscripts your] behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.
If you don't share your tests, your tests will never become testimonies
Know Who Are Your Enemies
Matthew 5:43-45: [43] “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor*[Lev 19:18] and hate your enemy.’ [44] But I tell you: Love your enemies*[Some late manuscripts enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you] and pray for those who persecute you, [45] that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Without your enemies, you cannot become successful
Matthew 22:15-17; 23-24: [15] Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. [16] They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians. “Teacher,” they said, “we know you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren't swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are. [17] Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?” [23] That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question. [24] “Teacher,” they said, “Moses told us that if a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and have children for him.
You cannot get healed until your sick
You cannot be successful without haters
Father I thank You that I'm always spiritually alert
Matthew 10:16-20: [16] I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. [17] “Be on your guard against men; they will hand you over to the local councils and flog you in their synagogues. [18] On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. [19] But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, [20] for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
God hates when we don't live in peace
Matthew 22:41-43: [41] While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, [42] “What do you think about the Christ*[Or Messiah]? Whose son is he?”
“The son of David,” they replied.
[43] He said to them, “How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him ‘Lord’? For he says,
Signs of an Enemy
1. Your enemies will always try to sabatage you from running your race
2. Your enemy is a person who resents that you're increasing and will try to stop you
3. Your enemies will judge you the way they see themselves
4. Your enemy is anyone who is unhappy about your progress
5. Your enemy is anyone who increases or strengthens a weakness that God is trying to remove
6. Your enemy is anyone attempting to kill the faith that God is birthing within you
7. Your enemy is anyone who always will discuss your past instead of your future
8. Your enemy will always try to weaken your passion
Galatians 5:7-9: [7] You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth? [8] That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. [9] “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.”
1 Samuel 17:28: [28] When Eliab, David's oldest brother, heard him speaking with the men, he burned with anger at him and asked, “Why have you come down here? And with whom did you leave those few sheep in the desert? I know how conceited you are and how wicked your heart is; you came down only to watch the battle.”
Don't marry anyone who tries to hinder your faith
Isaiah 43:18-19: [18] “Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
[19] See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert
and streams in the wasteland.
Matthew 10:36: [36] a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.’*[Micah 7:6]
How To Grow Through The Storms Of Your Life
Problems appear out of nowhere
Luke 8:22-25: [22] One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let's go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. [23] As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.
[24] The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we're going to drown!”
He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. [25] “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples.
In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”
Circumstances in your life are mostly unpredictable
When you stay in faith, no problem will be able to move you
Mark 4:36-39: [36] Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. [37] A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. [38] Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don't you care if we drown?”
[39] He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
Problems and Pressure is designed to find out what's inside your thinking
Hebrews 13:5: [5] Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”*[Deuteronomy 31:6]
Deuteronomy 31:6: [6] Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Romans 8:38-39: [38] For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,*[Or nor heavenly rulers] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, [39] neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:35: [35] Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? [36] As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”*[Ps 44:22]
[37] No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Psalm 46:1: [1]
God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
[2] Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
[3] though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
[4] There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
[5] God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
[6] Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
[7] The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
How To Recognize Your Time Of Favor
Psalms 102:1-13: [1] Hear my prayer, O LORD;
let my cry for help come to you.
[2] Do not hide your face from me
when I am in distress.
Turn your ear to me;
when I call, answer me quickly.
[3] For my days vanish like smoke;
my bones burn like glowing embers.
[4] My heart is blighted and withered like grass;
I forget to eat my food.
[5] Because of my loud groaning
I am reduced to skin and bones.
[6] I am like a desert owl,
like an owl among the ruins.
[7] I lie awake; I have become
like a bird alone on a roof.
[8] All day long my enemies taunt me;
those who rail against me use my name as a curse.
[9] For I eat ashes as my food
and mingle my drink with tears
[10] because of your great wrath,
for you have taken me up and thrown me aside.
[11] My days are like the evening shadow;
I wither away like grass.
[12] But you, O LORD, sit enthroned forever;
your renown endures through all generations.
[13] You will arise and have compassion on Zion,
for it is time to show favor to her;
the appointed time has come.
There is a moment in your life if you are faithful to God and His Word where God has set a divine time where exceeding and abundant favor will be upon you
2 Samuel 12:13-14: [13] Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.”
Nathan replied, “The LORD has taken away your sin. You are not going to die. [14] But because by doing this you have made the enemies of the LORD show utter contempt,*[Masoretic Text; an ancient Hebrew scribal tradition this you have shown utter contempt for the LORD] the son born to you will die.”
God will work all your problems out for your good if you trust Him and don't try to solve your problems on your own
YOU HAVE NO HUMAN ENEMIES IN YOUR LIFE
Psalms 31:10-14: [10] My life is consumed by anguish
and my years by groaning;
my strength fails because of my affliction,*[Or guilt]
and my bones grow weak.
[11] Because of all my enemies,
I am the utter contempt of my neighbors;
I am a dread to my friends—
those who see me on the street flee from me.
[12] I am forgotten by them as though I were dead;
I have become like broken pottery.
[13] For I hear the slander of many;
there is terror on every side;
they conspire against me
and plot to take my life.
[14] But I trust in you, O LORD;
I say, “You are my God.”
A righteous man/woman can do a thousand good works and remain unnoticed by people who are self-righteous; but let them make one mistake and those same self-righteous people will parade his/her sin, condemning him/her to a life of criticism and slander
IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF YOU! IT ONLY MATTERS WHAT GOD THINKS OF YOU! SO DON'T CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF YOU
Psalm 51:1-4: [1] Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
[2] Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.
[3] For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.
[4] Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you are proved right when you speak
and justified when you judge.
James 4:11-12: [11] Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. [12] There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?
How To Let The Lord Fight Your Battles
Psalm 102:1-11; 13: [1] Hear my prayer, O LORD;
let my cry for help come to you.
[2] Do not hide your face from me
when I am in distress.
Turn your ear to me;
when I call, answer me quickly.
[3] For my days vanish like smoke;
[4] My heart is blighted and withered like grass;
I forget to eat my food.
[5] Because of my loud groaning
I am reduced to skin and bones.
[6] I am like a desert owl,
like an owl among the ruins.
[7] I lie awake; I have become
like a bird alone on a roof.
[8] All day long my enemies taunt me;
those who rail against me use my name as a curse.
my bones burn like glowing embers.
[9] For I eat ashes as my food
and mingle my drink with tears
[10] because of your great wrath,
for you have taken me up and thrown me aside.
[11] My days are like the evening shadow;
I wither away like grass.
[12] But you, O LORD, sit enthroned forever;
your renown endures through all generations.
[13] You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her;
the appointed time has come.
Favor = Preferencial Treatment; God changes circumstances and situations to empower you to prosper
There is always a SET TIME for God's divine favor to come upon you.
Don't try to force God's appointed time of favor for you. IT WON'T WORK
Satan doesn't mind if you start something, he only cares if you finish
Exodus 14:14: [14] The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Anything that tries to steal your peace is not of God and needs to be avoided
1 Corinthians 7:10: [10] To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. [11] But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife.
[12] To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. [13] And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. [14] For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.
[15] But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing man or woman is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace.
You know you have God's favor if you have His peace
Hebrews 12:14: [14] Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
Never be afraid of mistakes, just learn from them
Romans 12:9-21: [9] Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. [10] Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. [11] Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. [12] Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. [13] Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
[14] Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. [15] Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. [16] Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.*Do not be conceited.
[17] Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. [18] If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. [19] Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”*[Deuteronomy 32:35] says the Lord. [20] On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”*[Proverbs 25:21,22]
[21] Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
8 Ways God Deals With Your Enemies...
1. God Will Trouble Your Enemies
a. Exodus 14:26-29: [26] Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may flow back over the Egyptians and their chariots and horsemen.” [27] Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea went back to its place. The Egyptians were fleeing toward*[Or from] it, and the LORD swept them into the sea. [28] The water flowed back and covered the chariots and horsemen—the entire army of Pharaoh that had followed the Israelites into the sea. Not one of them survived. [29] But the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.
2. God will confuse and blind your enemies
a. 2 Kings 6:14-18: [14] Then he sent horses and chariots and a strong force there. They went by night and surrounded the city. [15] When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh, my lord, what shall we do?” the servant asked. [16] “Don't be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” [17] And Elisha prayed, “O LORD, open his eyes so he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. [18] As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the LORD, “Strike these people with blindness.” So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.
3. God will give your enemies disturbing thoughts that will cause them to panic
a. 2 Kings 7:5-7: [5] At dusk they got up and went to the camp of the Arameans. When they reached the edge of the camp, not a man was there, [6] for the Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the sound of chariots and horses and a great army, so that they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired the Hittite and Egyptian kings to attack us!” [7] So they got up and fled in the dusk and abandoned their tents and their horses and donkeys. They left the camp as it was and ran for their lives.
4. God will send his Angels to Destroy your enemies
a. 2 Chronicles 32:21: [21] And the LORD sent an angel, who annihilated all the fighting men and the leaders and officers in the camp of the Assyrian king. So he withdrew to his own land in disgrace. And when he went into the temple of his god, some of his sons cut him down with the sword.
5. God will cause your enemies to have nightmares
a. Judges 7:9-14: [9] During that night the LORD said to Gideon, “Get up, go down against the camp, because I am going to give it into your hands. [10] If you are afraid to attack, go down to the camp with your servant Purah [11] and listen to what they are saying. Afterward, you will be encouraged to attack the camp.” So he and Purah his servant went down to the outposts of the camp. [12] The Midianites, the Amalekites and all the other eastern peoples had settled in the valley, thick as locusts. Their camels could no more be counted than the sand on the seashore.
6. God will leave your enemies presense
a. 2 Chronicles 20:17: [17] You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.’”
7. God causes your enemies to turn on each other

a. 2 Chronicles 20:22-25: [22] As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. [23] The men of Ammon and Moab rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another. [24] When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped. [25] So Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found among them a great amount of equipment and clothing*[Some Hebrew manuscripts and Vulgate; most Hebrew manuscripts corpses] and also articles of value—more than they could take away. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it.
You should ask God to deliver you because you cannot win all the battles you face by yourself
How you get God to fight your battles for you...
1. Keep the peace
2. Don't Fear
