Me: i think i have adhd because of *insert many reasons here* and i would like an evaluation. I already know i have *various disorders* and am taking medication for them. I specifically chose this office because nowhere else is capable of providing an adhd evaluation for a Medicaid patient

Psychiatrist: do you take vitamins? What’s your sleep like? I’m gonna ask all these basic questions about your medical history that I’d know the answers to if i read your intake form. Let me prescribe you a complicated medication routine and not give the required prior authorization for one of them

me: i can’t remember to take meds twice a day let alone multiple meds multiple times a day, and even if i set an alarm my brain won’t let me. I cannot focus on anything and it’s making my anxiety and depression worse. The meds you gave me made me dissociate even more which makes me more depressed. Please. Evaluation.

psychiatrist: okay so I’m gonna prescribe you another anti depressant medication meant to be taken twice a day that wears off after 12 hours, you can take the second dose if you want 😊 Are you feeling depressed? Also why don’t you contact me when your meds aren’t filled even though you don’t know what meds you’re picking up? I’m gonna pressure you into talking to one of our virtual therapists even after you said you’re seeking in person therapy and don’t like virtual.

i feel like absolute shit and it's only noon. why does everything cost so much money all the time it's so stressful and genuinely nothing regularly makes me feel this bad these days except money stress.

stressed about trying to find a new vet even though i don't want to but i have to because their prices have gone insane. like up until recently, putting a rat to sleep was €25. now it's €65! that's so far out of my budget. i still have a bill to pay off because having roach put to sleep was so much more expensive this time.

stressed about testosterone because it's expensive and im still not closer to getting it on my medical card and don't know when that'll happen

please Christ i don't have enough disposable income to be throwing around €65 and €80 every few weeks fuck me especially when it's for something i can't avoid

I passed my exam let's fucking goooooo!!!! This is one hell of a huge thorn off my chest, like this whole exam thing has been deadass constantly plaguing and stressing me out for a whole year, I'm so glad it's REALLY over now.

I knew I'm gonna receive the results around this time and even if I told myself to not give a fuck abt the results (self-worth≠exam results) my brain says otherwise (and mental illness also doesn't work that way unfortunately😔). So had to shut down and lock down my brain for a while when I can 😭😭 I even slept for like 14-16hrs each night shfvshvfsv don't wanna do anything stupid (I did try to reduce my sleep hours to normal amounts the other day, but got an anxiety attack instead from being awake when im not distracting myself)

Anyway, I think I can sleep a bit more peacefully now. I'll slowly go answer the asks and reply to dms/notifs tomorrow, I'm just so relieved right now that this is my current state -> 🫠🫠🫠🫠

Note: I also defeated my first boss (and a few minor bosses) in eld/en ri/ng yipeeee (<-forgor to continue playing for a while but needed a distraction, now i've made good progress there)
