Ken Sato right? He really got 10 times hotter when he became a single dad and thriving in all aspects of his life

Okay now that I have your attention, listen to this AU idea that my friends suggested to me and then it snowballed from there:

It's my fellswap because of course I'm brainrotting over my own take

Cyrus (Fellswap Papyrus) is Ken Sato, and his brother, Locke (Fellswap Gaster), took on the role of Ultraman after their parents were killed in a kaiju attack.

Locke sent him and Aster (Fellswap Sans) to live with their grandfather, Grandpa Semi (I don't have a name for him yet where I can differentiate the Semis) and has taken on the role.

Cyrus becomes a popular, rising star in baseball, Aster and Grandpa Semi are his biggest supporters. He is so incredibly distant from everyone and is an ass. Things are going good, he is totally not missing his parents and his older brother. That's until Locke gets himself injured, Aster disappears, and Cyrus is encouraged by his grandpa to go back to Locke and take on the role of Ultraman.

And my guy is struggling, especially after he saves a baby kaiju from the KDF.

"Where is your sona?" Kikuyo would be a separate character entirely and she is childhood friends with Cyrus and the other three. They reunite when the reporter introduces him to her when Kikuyo was dropping her off to Cyrus and the reporter's meeting.

They hang out a little more afterwards and get closer. Kikuyo gets close to learning the truth but not quite.
