Vtuber Loses Quality During Streams

I use Vtube Studio and OBS to stream on Twitch, and I've noticed that whenever there's a lot going on (in Final Fantasy XIV for instance), my vtuber quality drop dramatically. Like, it gets pixalated.

I google'd, but there are various different suggestiosn regarding OBS settings, and a couple of Vtube Studio things. I even posted in the Vtube Studio Discord, but there's been no replies.

So, I thought I'd ask what settings you guys use. And, have you ever had this problem? If so, how did you fix it?

Hello there! You probably know my account from YouTube! But I have a huge question!

Do you know what comic this is called?

Oh yes, I'm afraid I do.

That comic is called "Repercussion, Repetition, Resolution." I remember posting about it back in 2017 on GF Amino when I was still new in the fandom. I wasn't on Tumblr yet so that was my only social at the time. It was a pretty col story.

But that's where it ends as that comic was made by a rather disgraceful ex member of the Gravity Falls fandom...Pitopishi!

If that name sounds familiar, then it is. Pitopishi was once a huge member of the GF fandom art scene on here and even more so, was one of the two fan artists who worked on Lost Legends back in 2018, with the other being @kiki-kit.

Pitopishi did the work for Face It in LL alongside the Manga section in Comix Up. That was all mentioned in Alex Hirsch's credit thread for all the various LL artists in 2018.

However, back in 2021, it came to light that Pitopishi was a TERF. They made a bunch of transphobic remarks and supported JK Rowling. Eventually they wiped their Tumblr page and YT channel, leaving transphobic content up. Their Twitter is private and uh...I think it alone should tell you everything wrong!

I've spoken with other fans about it who have been around here longer than I have and there is still a lot of shock on this and many fans who still do not know about this. Pitopishi was a huge artist in the fandom before my time and someone who's work I was a fan of in my early days too. I was so excited about them joining the graphic novel back in 2018. A lot of us were.

Sadly, they turned out to be a horrible and hateful person. Quite a repulsive fall for a once great and respected artist. Their art is still floating around there, but they themselves have vanished and probably for the better.

But yeah, that comic was made by them and quite frankly, it sucks given for how good their work was, they weren't.

i wont feel offended if you ignore this ask btw, i get that its asking something kind of personal! but can i ask what you mean by the internet treating DID as magical?

hi i actually enjoy DID questions don't worry LOL and i'm in the mood rn

when most people think about DID they are usually thinking about very overt cases with very distinct alters with vastly different personalities, different names, gender identities, etc. while this is a popular angle to imagine DID, overt cases like that are actually a pretty small percentage of what DID tends to look like. (of course, social media can push people's presentation to become more overt, which isn't fake/bad or anything, humans are social animals and the way we interact with each other can affect even our mental illnesses. additionally some people will become more overt after receiving therapy while they start communicating with alters for the first time. but my point is DID is not usually that strikingly obvious)

this popular perception also leaves out a lot of the rest of DID which falls in line with what people consider more "typical" disorders, PTSD symptoms galore, dissociation/dissociative amnesia, somatic pains and illness, comorbid conditions and physical disabilities. i think if people had more of an understanding of the non-alter parts of DID, it would ground the disorder a lot more and make it a lot less "magical" seeming.

but overall it all comes back to like... people not understanding that DID is just an extension of PTSD and other parts-based disorders. the same psychological process that makes PTSD/C-PTSD happen, BPD, etc, is what causes DID, it's just pushed to a far extreme due to when the trauma is experienced (very early childhood) and other factors surrounding that trauma, such as the length of time the trauma occurred over, or whether or not the child had stable caregivers and/or relief from traumatic events. DID is not some sort of completely separate category of mental illness - alters (the DID definition of them) may be unique to DID, but they come from the same place a ton of other mental illnesses do and there's a ton of overlapping symptoms between DID and pretty much every disorder caused by trauma.

i often see people act like DID is some far off life experience they couldn't even fathom or imagine living with, but if anyone just actually explained this shit properly i'm pretty sure most people, especially traumatized people, would go "oh that makes sense" and not feel so estranged from it lol. it's really frustrating because people continuing to see DID as this sort of magical, far-off experience, takes the disability/disorder out of it in conversation about it (people can only ever seem to talk about alters) and it also usually ends up spreading misinformation at the same time. there's sooo much bullshit about DID out there. good grief. it even hurts other people with trauma-based conditions that aren't DID

edit: wait also btw OSDD-1 is included in this conversation, i'm just using DID as shorthand instead of typing DID/OSDD every time and i am personally diagnosed with DID so lol

So on the topic of iterators playing video games, this:

which is a part of the set of holograms Iggy can show Moon after Rivulet powers her back up. Which based on the colors, grid, and way the tiles change, is probably Moon and Pebbles playing the iterator dominoes

(It's funny to think one of first message Moon sent to Pebbles after hundreds of cycles was essentially "Hey you wanna play games")

I'm beyond mentally ill for those two! I'm very aware of their domino shenanigans. If you pay attention to Moon's projections you can see a lot of neat stuff. Actually let's talk about that!

I think them playing together is just so.. fitting and beautiful. It's such a simple way to connect with others. Playing games is one of the easiest ways to build or rebuild friendships. Any kind of games. Something casual you can talk and share while you do. And those two have plenty to talk about.

Aside the games though..

Ramble about a bunch of her projections in Saint and Riv campaigns below! It was very fun!

Moon also remembers her various slug cat companions through the cycles.

She tells Hunter how she wishes she could remember them. And now she can. Moon can remember her savior and remember just how hard her family and peers tried to contact her, to reassure her, to show how they cared. Even this image on it's own speaks a lot. Moon couldn't have taken it, because she was offline before that key ended up in her chamber. So it was Iggy. One of the overseers she no longer has control over yet tried to help her anyway. It's sweet.

It makes it canon that Monk met her and gave her two neurons! A thoughtful and kind creature.

Moon also has pictures of the local group in the distance! She never stopped trying to look after them and be a local group senior. Checking up on them in the only way she really can. I think that's sweet.

And what honestly breaks me is uh..

These. She also never stopped being Five Pebbles' administrator.. or more accurately his big sister. Checking up on how he is doing and the situation with his rot. It just makes me ache a little. It's been way too long for her to be angry anymore. She can finally talk to him and they both know it won't be for long.

Moon also has pictures of Silent Construct.

Unless I am mistaken of course. But I get the idea that she has trouble reaching him. Or she can't find him. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Moon's overseers can’t reach Five Pebbles anymore. I don't think she'd stop being his company otherwise. Silent Construct is a place that has crumbled very badly and who knows in what state overseer tunnels are.. especially with the dense scavenger populations, it must be difficult to reach him.

Of course we also have the fallen buildings of her local group in the distance. No longer standing. Their time is over.

And! Something a little more fun is that she has a projection of the Moon. Looks to the Moon alright! How silly and sweet.
