This blog is a hub blog, not a multi-muse blog. This means that each muse has their own inbox, their own drafts, etc.

I don't have triggers, really, but I do tag triggers following the "{{ tw: trigger" format. E.g., "{{ tw: spiders".

I'm a very laidback/low pressure roleplayer. I don't do fancy formatting aside from some bolding and/or italics and making the font a bit smaller, and I'm not hella active. (I don't mind people who use heavy formatting, though.) I'm not going to hunt you down for a reply after two days or two months, and I don't care if you've been MIA for a year then come back and post a response. Shit happens and I'm fine with it!

I generally write a couple paragraphs, semi-literate to literate, and omniscient third-person. However, I'm fine with matching length for longer posts. I don't really care if people match my length, so long as you're not giving me, like, two sentences to my four paragraphs. lol

On memes: I reblog memes to the hub blog, and all memes are open to ANY muse unless the tags state otherwise.

On NSFW: I'm open to PG-13 or occasionally even R-rated threads in established ships with writing partners I'm comfortable with. They'll always be put under a read more and tagged appropriately, and are only an option on muses who are 18+. (Also I do not feel comfortable aging up characters for the purpose of smut.)

On shipping: I ship chemistry only. I do not write romantic ships for muses who are underage.

OC's: I fuckin' love them. My MC from my novel trilogy project is an OC I've had for well over a decade and I have a blog for her, too. If you wanna write your OC with my muse, let's go! I'm happy to ship with OC's, too.

My muse is MY muse. If you don't like my interpretation, please just unfollow and go find one that better suits how you view the character.

Hey! I'm Riven. I'm turning 30 in two days as of this writing (June 21st, 2024). I'm an artist and writer with a small business.   “The best day of my life..,” Naia repeated, glancing out the window as she thought. That was a hard question. She had so many memories of happy days speckled throughout her childhood.

  “There was a day when I was little, with my mom. I was still afraid of storms, even small ones, back then, and we’d been hit by a really bad one. Our power went out and I was scared because it was so dark, so mom got the fireplace going and we curled up in front of it. She tried telling me stories and jokes. She was so bad at telling jokes,” she started, giving a small laugh. And, naturally, she couldn’t resist the urge to throw in a little teasing when the opportunity presented itself; “They were always really corny, like yours.”   “Anyway.. When she saw none of that was working, she took my hand and held it up in front of the fire. She said, ‘See how your shadow hides behind you? Because even the darkness knows you’re stronger than it is.’ I don’t know that it was the best day. But it’s my favorite. Didn’t stop me from being afraid of the dark, but just... reinforced that my mom was a badass.”

Looking back to Prompto, she smiled and changed the subject; her past wasn’t one she enjoyed talking about, even the happier times.   “Let’s go for a Cosmo cliché this time. What’s your idea of a perfect date? Maybe I can hint Noct in the right direction.”

Hello..I am a person who does self-inserting. Are you okay with rping with self inserters???? Like if someone wanted to do Snotlout x an oc??(sorry if this is an obvious/annoying question I’m new to this aa)

   Hello! Your question isn’t, at all, annoying. Especially with you being new! Welcome to the Tumblr RPC! *waves* I, myself, have only been on here for abooooout 1.5 years now, almost? I believe I started in November of 2016, with the majority of that time spent on my OC, @thebastardlady, before I picked up my canon muses. It’s daunting, at first, but you’ll get the hang of it in no time. :)

   So, to answer your question, it really depends on what you count as a “self-insert”. Some people consider a self-insert to be a character with a similar backstory and similar personality to the writer even if there are some differences, while others don’t consider a character to be a self-insert until they’re 100% the exact same as the writer; same name, looks, hobbies, etc. I fall somewhere between those two, as I understand that all characters have a starting point and that many characters start off with MANY traits of their writers before they go through the needed development to branch off and come into their own. If they’re an outright self-insert (100% same as the writer), then I would have to decline any interactions for my own comfort, and you can read more on that beneath the cut. (Plus some unsolicited advice for OC writers, self-insert or not.)

   So, TL;DR: Essentially, let me know which category of “self-insert” your muse falls into and we can go from there. :)

   F O R E W A R N I N G: Under the cut is some REALLY long, unsolicited advice for OC writers, and it includes pics.

   My reason for not interacting with pure self-inserts is the same reason that most writers, canon and OC alike, won’t; Because self-inserts have a strong tendency to get heavily attached/clingy in a borderline ( or outright ) obsessive manner. Now this can happen with any writer of any kind of muse, of course, but it’s very common in self-inserts. It seems they have a tendency to only see the character and not the person behind them. Because it’s so common among them, and often without the self-insert writer even realizing it and/or getting angry when it’s pointed out, most writers prefer not to write with them.

   Personally, it makes me uncomfortable because it feels more like being collected to fulfill someone’s fantasy-filled daydreams than writing for the sake of writing and character development.

   Now, for some unsolicited advice that touches back on all characters having a starting point: Don’t let your ideas and fantasies get in the way of good character development. I made Naia when I was 13 and she was the most Mary Sue/self-insert character you’d ever find. She was basically a hard-edged, one-dimensional, bitchy, shapeshifting scenedog/neon-punk girl. She was both myself and what I wished I was at the time. She was utter trash and I wish I could burn every memory of her before her development because, looking back, gods, was she bad! And, for the longest time, I refused to put her through any sort of development because I was always hesitant to change of any kind ( a common trait for autistic individuals ). Over the past 11 years, however, she has changed a TON and has completely become her own, stand-alone character.

   Naia’s development, from 2008 onward. ( Even her name changed! From Naia Rhiley to Kijonaia Remiel with Naia being her nickname. )

   Until she finally ended up like this, which is her final design for my comic which is debuting in June. She has come SUCH a long way, so don’t shy away from putting your OC through situations you hadn’t thought of before, or from letting them grow into their own character. I love Naia so much now and she is my pride and joy.

   Basically, this is my long af way of saying this: It’s totally a-OK to start with a self-insert, even if they’re a 100% self-insert. People may not want to interact with them, but that’s okay, too. What matters is whether or not you’re willing to allow them to blossom into something way better than you started with.

The chance of a relationship working out between Sasuke and Kijonaia is not very big, but a relationship is very well possible, if the two of you really want it to, and are prepared to make some sacrifices for it. You'll have to spend a lot of quality time together. You must be aware of the fact that this relationship might not work out at all, no matter how much time you invest in it.
