leosoc collab session pilot - 27/01/17

this was my first try at leading a creative session. the idea was to collaboratively make work responding to non-visual stuff, and to in the end compile it all into a google doc that we could all edit. the google doc idea didnt work, so im putting it all in this tumblr post.

i think in future we need to photograph as we go, and maybe nominate someone to compile as we go. 

first off we picked a medium, and then gave that medium to the person to our left. then we found a person on our contacts on our phones, and made things thinking about the person. we had 8 minutes. then we gave that to the person to our left and they had to finish/break/add to it.

boom! nice. 

next up we chose a random song on our phones, and gave it to the person next to us. we all responded to the song we got. we had about 8 mins. nick has brought these tiles, and we all painted on them, except alex, who chose audio as a medium. he struggled w the tech, but he gave it a boss title:

“a failure of my ability  to use kierabs phone lead to my singing if a skng in the toilet and doing all thr instruments  with my own voice and everything  has failed.”

niceee. to round off we each were given a poem at random from poemsinwhich.com , and had to respond to it on a big collaborative piece.
