yelp review
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
yes this is canon to my mutual enemy au. this is genuinely how fury and power punch revealed their location to the others.
they can only communicate through yelp reviews because conadger and her minions are tracking all of fury's other accounts. they did not know he is an avid yelper

⚠️☣️💛Pinned Post💛☣️⚠️
Tumblr media
This is my Undertale au (Mainly Sans aus) blog, my main is @cryingbluez. Will mainly be posting my own artwork, and answer asks. I will sometimes reblog others posts too. NOT a follow4follow account. So if you only follow me looking for one back, chances are I will not.
To see if asks/requests are open look at the my bio (theres also links in both this post and bio about rules about asks/requests). You can also send me random head canons or thoughts on characters too, I'd love to hear them!
Asks will be open for both me and my characters/aus just make sure to specify who the ask is for. If no one at all is specified and its not clear who its for I will just use any character to answer lol.
I'm also super okay with unhinged asks/tags on my stuff (as long as it isn't nsfw) I'm also okay with spam likes/reblogs/asks. I'm also okay with anons wanting specific anon names e.g. an anon referring to themselves with an emoji.
Also I'm okay with fanart of my characters! :D make sure to tag me and you can even send an ask in to make sure I see it lol. And I'm also okay with your ocs interacting with mine. Either it be through asks or art.
I'm also prone to adding random bits of info in the tags, not on all my posts, but a lot of my posts have stuff in the tags too, of me talking about something lol.
(This blog will have swearing in it. So if that's something you don't like please be careful when viewing my content)
Tumblr media
You can call me Monodrama, or just Mono for short. Heres the ref for my skelesona.
Tumblr media
Some lore on my sona :D :
Despite the title of ‘Skelesona’ my technically not a skeleton. More so some sort of parasite controlling a puppet/doll that looks like a skeleton.
Monodrama means ‘a dramatic piece for one performer’ (Nickname "Mono"). Given me saying my skelesona he’s actually more of an oc/mascot he doesn’t fully act like me, he's more so a being I can talk through.
His eyes and the bunny features as well as the horn and tail aren’t actually his own, since he’s a sort of parasite he can consume people/monsters and can gain a feature or two that he can use whenever he wants. E.g. he ate someone who had yellow eyes, giving him yellow eye lights, he ate a rabbit monster gaining bunny features, and he ate a reptilian monster for the horns and tail. (Also it explains my blog name lol)
Does have ecto, but rarely has it active
Tumblr media
This blog is just a place for me to shove my Undertale au/Sans au artwork, feel free to send asks or doodle requests in. I have a few undertale ocs too :D
I'm open to answering asks about myself or any au/oc stuff I do, I will try to include doodles whenever I can, so bear with me if I don't answer it quickly. If you sent a doodle request and I don't do it please don't be mad. After all it's free art, I get to choose what I want to draw.
I do utau ships, and have my own sans au that I'm working on. Main utau ship I like is CrossMare (Cross x Nightmare), I enjoy drawing Nightmare a lot so you will see a lot of artwork of him. I tend to go for either fandom versions of characters personalities or my own interpretations of them.
Some of my fav bands/artists are, Glass Animals, Vundabar, Girl in Red, Rio Romeo, TV Girl, Machine Girl, Eve, Creepy Nuts :DD
My writing style tends to be very blunt, so I try to put in emojis/emoticons. I try not to spam them, but just warning ppl that I don't mean to sound mean I just type like that D: .
I'm still trying to figure out how I wanna draw skele's, so bear with me with that, my style might change.
Tumblr media

I also won't be responding much to people who try to start things with me, I will just block people. I just don't have time for it, if your polite about it I will most likely have a discussion with you.

Writer Interview Game
hee fun, thank you for the tag, @eraserspiral!
When did you start writing?
blah blah blah been writing stories since I was a kid blah but honestly I'd say I legitimately developed an interest in writing fiction when I was around 13. you'll never guess this but I was on the jr high literary magazine and I wrote a sweet lil 13yo romance story where a marine biologist verbally abuses a dude who hits a dolphin with his boat and then he gets them both to the emergency vet and then it turns into a meet-cute. I used the word "dumbass" in the story and my teaching advisor let it slide and it was published with the swear intact. it was a whole thing.
Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?
I read all kinds of things I don't especially want to write. a lot of nonfiction and investigative journalism, memoirs, literary classics a la Virginia Woolf. no interest whatsoever in writing it but it's good reading.
Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?
there isn't like a specific writer I aspire to write like, but I have historically been compared to Neil Gaiman, which is very flattering. mostly I admire the writing chops of Laini Taylor for her beautiful lyrical imagery and dreamlike framing, Carmen Maria Machado for the way she blends horror elements with life, queerness and emotion, Christopher Moore for his incredible humor writing, and (surprise) Neil Gaiman for his approach to speculative fiction that feels so accessible and tied to the real world. like you could turn over a rock and find an entire magical world you never knew was there.
I don't necessarily want to EMULATE them but I have been influenced by them, for sure.
Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?
I write on a laptop curled up in the corner of my couch with noise-cancelling headphones on and am frequently interrupted by pets, a spouse, or children. which is why I tend to write late at night.
What’s your most effective way to muster up a muse?
sit my ass down and start typing. like I know that is not romantic or fun but part of writing is that I have to get into my flow state, and I can't do that by dicking around doing stuff that isn't writing. it can be really, really hard. sometimes it'll feel like shit. but I do it anyway.
something that helps me a lot is putting on the headphones and listening to mood music or a dialogue video to kind of kickstart my brain into the creative space.
I also do a weed. doing a weed relaxes my inner critic. sometimes.
Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?
sibling relationships tend to feature prominently. I have several siblings and sibling dynamics are fascinating to me. there also tend to be themes of self-sacrifice, choosing love (romantic or platonic), and messy but ride-or-die style friendships.
What is your reason for writing?
I feel compelled to put the movies playing in my head to the page. it brings me joy to transcribe my weird ideas and give them form.
Is there any specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating?
when people tell me they've come back to reread something I wrote because it stuck with them. that's like. wow. what a feeling. what a motivator.
How do you want to be thought about by your readers?
I try not to think about how other people think about me if I can help it, which I often can't, lol. but mostly I hope readers (and people in general) think of me as someone who tells emotionally resonant stories that make them smile or laugh.
What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
dialogue. expressing an emotion succinctly on the page.
How do you feel about your own writing?
I'm in a pretty good place about it these days. I write both professionally and for fun, and what I do in this space is my fun time. I can let go, be experimental and weird, not overanalyze every single word, and make something for/with a community that I really enjoy.
When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely for yourself, or a mix of both?
a mix of both, I guess? mostly for myself, honestly. I write the things I would enjoy reading. I write the smut I would find hot. I write the jokes that make me laugh. but I also love giving little winks to readers and letting them know that they're part of the experience, too.

Ye Olde Introductory Post
Hi all! I'm Evie, I use she/her pronouns, I'm 24, and I wish I was 3 inches tall. As you may infer from that last line, this is my g/t blog. If you don't know what g/t even is, here's a great post explaining wtf I'm rambling about. If that's what you're here for, great! This blog is going to be a mix of my original writing and art as well as reblogs from other amazing community members in the g/t community (of course).
If you'd like to know what to expect more specifically, keep reading.
What type of content you can expect (and not);
A lot of fluff, angst, and romance. Occasional darker themes and content (more on that under content warnings in a minute), but nothing that's intended as kink content nor explicitly sexual. I'm ace and gt is not a kink for me (no hate to people who feel otherwise though!). I mostly just write and draw things that interest me, from original works to fandoms. Occasional v.ore mentions, I'm not super into it as a thing overall so there's no actual v.ore but the potential is a fun horror/angst trope like "Oh no man eating giants (but they're not)" or "friendly giant is sad bc everyone thinks he's a man eating giant". Regardless, any such mentions will be in content warnings so you can avoid easily. Or find easily, whichever lol. Maybe occasional horror adjacent stories, I write non gt horror on occasion so who knows. Will also be included in content warnings if you're just here for the fluff. Finally maybe occasional "suggestive" content - nothing actually sexual and always between consenting adults but I write romance so there might be a "behind closed doors"/"fade to black" scene at some point. Again, will also be in content warnings. I think that's everything I can think of for potentially objectionable content that might show up; for more on content warning system keep scrolling. If I write something that begets updating this section it shall be updated.
Content warnings;
All of my original works have content warnings at the top for any content I think might reasonably need to have a warning, including swearing, injury, angst, fearplay, etc. I'm additionally planning on, moving forward, adding tags for each content warnings so people that would like to filter by tag can do so as well. If you're planning on sticking around and there's a content warning I'm not currently using but you'd appreciate being used (eg, specific phobias, certain words, etc), let me know via ask or message and I'd be happy to add it! Tumblr and the gt community on here is thankfully small enough that I can reasonably do that
DNI;
Minors!! This is a sfw blog, if you want to follow that's fine BUT I'm in my mid twenties, there's no reason we need to be interacting beyond that. In fact, if you're a minor and you're reading this, be suspicious of any adult who feels otherwise tbh, it's not a good or safe standard to set.
Anyone promoting or subscribing to any kind of bigotry, including transphobes, homophobes, racists, etc
Exclusively nsfw/kink blogs, I'm ace and have trauma and would prefer to not interact. If you just have NSFW content amongst other content this doesn't apply to you, my thought process is just if ur blog is exclusively kink based/NSFW I don't have what you want here and you don't have what I want there so we don't need to interact further lol
Pedophiles, abusers, etc. I have no idea why this sort of person would follow a dni anyways but you will be blocked if you're posting things sexualizing minors or encouraging pedophilia or abuse or it comes out you're messaging kids or something because wtf.
Organization;
My master post for writing and art is here
About me;
♡ I go by Evie
♡ pronouns: she/hers
♡ age: 25
♡ im autistic
♡ im a tiny (in my dreams)
♡ tv shows I like: Loki, Criminal Minds, Scooby Doo (don't get me started)
♡ favorite genres: horror or romance. Polar opposites (except when it's both at once. Love a good Gothic romantic horror. Hate a dark romance tho)
♡ favorite artists: fleetwood Mac, lord huron, hozier
♡ other assorted interests: nature, national parks, spooky season, BEING 3 INCHES TALL

MHA 430, no real spoilers to the ending but I'm also discussing my au ideas under the break too so that's why I tagged spoilers and added the bar, because there's a variety of spoilers.
That was fine I guess, could've been worse... Sad no dfo but I kinda gave up on that being good 10 chapters ago. Insert Thanos I'll do it myself gif.
5.5-6/10.
I'm gonna start my analysis + reread on Saturday I think?
Here's thoughts I already have:
- Reduce amount of students in 1-A. I realized that I can't handle 20+ main characters lol. My original idea was 5, but I've got it down to 10 by fusing characters. Izuku, Aoyama, Uraraka, Shoto, and Bakugo remain the same. I'm going to review the fusions and draw them later...
Fusions:
Sero/Kaminari/Kirishima (Reason: I get them mixed up a lot.)
Iida/Momo/Ojiro (Rich kid + I like Ojiro)
Jiro/Tokoyami/Shoji (Characters with a "dark vibe" ((emo lol)))
Mina/Tsu (I'd feel bad having one and not the other)
Koda/Sato (Honestly they're here because they're the ones I think of when I think "they got shoved aside" as well as Ojiro but I like him more.) ((... Also combine their names and you get Soda....))
Most likely to be cut: Ojiro, Sato, Koda, Sero
Cut: Mineta (Obvious reasons), Hagakure (I couldn't think of anything)
I swear there's logic here but I'm unable to explain it better lol. I'm eepy.
- Bakugo will be expelled from UA in the first arc, perhaps that'll be the conclusion of it. Possibly return in a later arc, I'm thinking the vigilante arc? Minor character. Basically a starter antagonist before the stakes ramp up.
(Results in the same amount of students as OFA users! Which I think is a nice parallel.)
- First arc will be about the class bonding since I really wanted more 1-A bonding scenes. Mainly about them helping each other. (I. E. Izuku opening up about being bullied, the class helping Shoto with the Endeavor situation, etc.) Bakugo's role will be getting in the way of this. Minor antagonist.
- LOV shouldn't be introduced until after a bond is established. Sorry Shiggy my beloved, you must wait.
- All for One dies in Kamino equivalent. (Unsure of how to set this up w/o Bakugo, maybe Midoriya's the one kidnapped?) Sorry AFO I love you so so much, but I'm killing you off. You're op as hell and the kill should be All Might's. You can come back and possess people later if you're good.
- DFO will be there as well as reducing the role AFO played in Shigaraki's backstory. Increase the role in Midoriya's life (negative).
- Aizawa will have a bit of a tweak, he'll be less physically violent with the students. (Less scarf grabby, only in extreme circumstances) Also I think having a lasting injury from the Oboro incident would be a nice touch. Give him a House MD vibe with a cane??? God I fucking loved House. Gay and homophobic, what an icon.
- Eventually I want Endeavor to go to prison or face some form of consequence. Maybe death. I was also thinking about him being tricked into helping AFO out of desperation for that number one spot. Bakugo takes his place for redemption arc?
- I don't really want to kill Midnight off... Or Twice... Or like. Any of the LOV. Need to think about that... But I know Twice's death was very important, so I might have to get over it somehow.
Not saying there won't be death, it just has to make more sense to me.
-
Wrote most of this at 2 am lol so this is probably incoherent. It's not a critique of the series, it's just my idea for the au. Like I get that classes have like 20 people in them. And that characters die. That villains die even if they're children.
I think if I plan this in arcs, I'll have the best chance of finishing it.

Questions for 15 Friends Tag Game
Tagged by @corishadowfang ^^
Rules: Answer the questions, then tag 15 people.
ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?
Not that I know of. I think my middle name was after someone but, if that's the case, I don't know who.
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?
This weekend watching Days. That game breaks me every time.
DO YOU HAVE KIDS?
Nope and don't ever plan on it.
WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/HAVE YOU PLAYED?
Uhhhh, none.
I tried out for the basketball team twice in elementary school but didn't make the team either time. That school, and especially the coach, had it out for me though (I am neurodivergent had behavioural issues so they didn't let me do much).
If it counts, I was on the Improv team in middle school. That was a ton of fun and I would've kept doing it into highschool if the teacher who was in charge of the competitions didn't retire (no one stepped up after that)
Other than that not really anything.
DO YOU USE SARCASM?
Oh definitely. I grew up in an incredibly sarcastic household lol
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE?
Uhhh, I haven't really thought about it...
Probably hair? That's how I tend to recognise most people, which is most definitely unreliable (thanks for that brain lol).
Shout out to that one time my friend got a drastically different haircut than usual, didn't tell me, and I didn't recognise her until she spoke to me lol
WHAT’S YOUR EYE COLOUR?
Brown.
SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS?
Definitely happy endings. I have absolutely no tolerance for scary things.
My pour soul got nightmares so easy as a kid I wasn't allowed to watch Scooby Doo because it would keep me up at night lol
ANY TALENTS?
I'd feel weird saying anything artistic, because honestly I consider those skills more than talents (since they're something I actually work towards improving and not something that I can just do for some reason lol).
So alternatively, I think my talent is simultaneously have the worlds worst and best balance. Like I can fill up a cup completely (and I mean completely, there's a meniscus and everything) and I can bring that up to my mouth without spilling a drop, but at the same time, there have been several occasions where I have fallen out of chairs while doing nothing but colouring. I can walk across a completely rounded balance beam (like curtain rod look and size) eyes closed and backwards, but walking I'm tripping every other step.
I can also quack like a duck so convincingly I've tricked hunters lol
WHERE WERE YOU BORN?
I'm not entirely sure...
Somewhere around the southern Quebec-Ontario border I think?
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?
Drawing, animating, reading, writing, and playing video games (and doing stuff for local theatre productions if that counts).
DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS?
Yes, currently I have a dog, Neve. She's a Golden Retriever-Labrador mix and she's very strange.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My brother also has a cat, but she lives in the basement and I never see her lol
HOW TALL ARE YOU?
I couldn't tell you the last time I measured my height, but I'm only a bit taller than my mom (4"11 and a bit), so probably 5"-5"1.
FAVOURITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL?
Chemistry.
I love chemistry. I love balancing formulas. I love the experiments and demonstrations (even if when I was doing them I kept burning my hands... I swear I was being careful I'm just cursed lol). I love learning about all the elements properties and stuff. The math isn't awful (like in physics). And it makes me feel smart.
DREAM JOB?
My dream job is whatever I have to do to be able to make my own show (my current plan is making an indie studio) and also being able to make a living off of doing tables at cons.
I'm actually slowly but surely working towards both right now. A lot of just saving and planning at the moment but I'm getting there.
Gonna start applying for grants soon-ish, so wish me luck lol
I don't really have 15 people to tag so, uhh, open tag I guess lol

20 questions for fic writers
Thank you @marypsue for tagging me! (I'm sorry it is so late) This got VERY long, so I will put it under a cut.
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
54, my god.
2. What’s your total word count?
188,134. Which seems both enormous and not enough lol.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Right now, I'm in a major Hatchetfield kick. Those musicals have me by the throat. But I am also working on a Stranger Things series too! However, I'm probably most known for my My Hero Academia stuff, I know a couple of those absolutely did numbers when I wasn't looking.
4. Top 5 fics by kudos
Oh I'm pretty sure I know. *checks Statistics* Yep I was right. My top five (and six and seven) are all from my Truth series, which is a MHA Dabihawks AU where Hawks joins the League of Villains.
5. Do you respond to comments?
I try! Sometimes I get overwhelmed and fall behind but I swear I always read them and love them and am so touched.
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Ummmm... Deadass, I think it was the first fic I ever posted, back in high school. It was a Doctor Who fanfic, about a Weeping Angel who feel in love with a human, and tried to stop killing for him, but was so hungry she ended up killing him instead. It's almost ten years old, but you can find it here.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I am once go back deep in my archives for this one. Back in 2015, I posted a Supernatural fic that was pure fluff, Karaoke. It was my idea of a series finale where everything was beautiful for once. Riiiiip.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I definitely have before, but only like once or twice and I immediately blocked them. It is always heartbreaking though. :(
9. Do you write smut?
Once that I posted! Though I may have an unfinished draft or two, lol
10. Do you write crossovers?
Yes, absolutely! My crossover tend to be characters experiencing scenarios from other universes, rather than character meeting.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Mostly by the AO3 scraping stuff, though I have found some suspicious posts with stuff from the Truth series on other sites, but nothing really definite.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes and I dropped my phone when the request came in. I was so excited.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yeah I have!!! My go-to partner in crime is @little-engineer-who-cant, we've been writing together since middle school.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Oh god, this is hard. Ummm... I suppose the first ship I ever really super got into was Ten/Rose in Doctor Who, so it holds a special place in my heart.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?
Honestly, one I really loved was an Adventure Zone Wicked au. There were a lot of great concepts in that one, but I never really got anywhere with it.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue! I love dialogue. It tends to be what I write first and then I go back and fill in the blanks.
I feel like I'm also pretty good at exploring concepts, like, taking things to their furthest extreme and exploring what it means in the universe.
Also angst. I love angst.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Descriptions. I just want you all to know what I am seeing in my head, not have to describe it. I really have to work at imagery, and making scenes feel alive.
Also fuck fight scenes.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
I would do it if I felt confident that I or another person could edit it to be accurate. If I am google translating or something, I'd rather just do English italics or say what characters the language are speaking. I don't want to butcher another language.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
As mentioned previously, the first fic I published was for Doctor Who but god as a kid I wrote myself into stories all the time! Should have known I'd end up a writer. Probably Yu-Gi-Oh or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?
Ohhhhhh these are so hard. Ummmm... To be honest, I am so incredibly proud of I Need a Shovel to Love Him. It is one of my recent Hatchetfield fics and is an exploration of grief, and it probably the closest a piece of writing has ever been to exactly what I pictured in my head when I wrote it.
But! Trying to ignore the bias for recent works, So Few Men Can Carry It is probably up there. It is an OC focused story in the Truth universe, and I loved discussing healthcare in a world with professional superheroes and plan to do more original stuff with that concept, because I love it so much.
I'm going to tag @little-engineer-who-cant again, as well as @snarky-wallflower and @starpirateee. (Does anyone else like to be included in these? I need to make a list!)

(̶J̶K̶ P̶L̶S̶ D̶O̶N̶T̶ C̶A̶L̶L̶ T̶H̶E̶ C̶O̶P̶S̶)̶
...WHY ON EARTH DID YOU WRITE AN ENTIRE ESSAY'S WORTH OF THINGS ABOUT ME. Actually, I'm flattered but also confused about the amount of effort you put into this.
Technically you are correct, but I will still fight you on this >:(
Htgsgs how dare you say that🐕.Yeah, I'm the Atsushi type heh!
You'd be right! To quote the wonderful Vash the Stampede- love and peace ✌️! I just like knowing I made someone smile or a bit happier<3
...I swear you're trying to kill me. But thank you! I'm surprised this name has stuck and just became my thing but it's kind of cool🥔 I hope all of my mutuals can never see potatoes the same again.
Htgsgs mashed potatoes are really good. But in all actuality my favorite food is Alfredo or any sort of pasta!
Your friend sounds awesome then. I hope she torments you irl as much as I do online! (Ooh hold on is that the same friend who thought you were texting a crush and you had to explain tumblr to?)
Aw ty! That was the first sketch I've done since forever. Hair is hard. And eyes. And faces. And... you get the point. I do want to improve though, so I'll keep trying.
I'll keep that in mind! And no worries, honestly the fact that you care about me enough to say that is really comforting. (Hah I'm attached to you now, it's all going downhill from here)
Thanks! I hope the same for you. My friends are awesome! They're the ones who also get to see my Nikolai side so it's fortunate they stay/j. Fun fact: I'm one of the giggliest people alive, so it's way to easy for them to make me laugh.
I could never be the leader lol, I don't have the confidence to tell other people what to do. But I'd say I'm the vice leader.
But that involves work... and effort... Actually I plan to get to it at some point. I'm impressed people are actually curious (aka I didn't plan for people to actually want to see my reasons, woops)
...Yeah I can see it.
THAT WAS ONE JOKE! Hstgs actually I'm glad you liked it. But if that's how you envision me now I will be sure to invoke all sorts of pain upon you🥰
I'll see you in court wakanai🫵 (I'm joking I would never do that to my fedya. If we go to jail we're doing it together!❤️ )
Xoxo, you're favorite potato<3
Sorry this took so long to write! And thanks a lot for all of the kind words, you have no clue how much I was smiling while making this.

Alrighty, #BlurbTuesday coming in just under the wire! Since I wasn't able to write anything this week (it's been a BUSY one, y'all) you get a sneak preview into a series I'm writing! This may or may not be exactly how it turns out later, but I thought I'd use this moment since I'm pretty proud of it. Stretching those dialogue muscles!
Warnings: reader has a nightmare, helmet is off for a second, emotions lol. This doesn't really need a rating but, as always, the whole blog is 18+ ONLY. Love y'all. 💖

How do I tell my husband I want to watch Triple Frontier but not for the plot?
Do I lie and just call these men "the plot"?

Might have to.

Hands
Tumblr media
Pairing: Din Djarin x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 2.9k
Rating: Explicit, 18+ ONLY (Minors DNI)
Excerpt: "You’d thought about the Mandalorian in that way a couple of times. In the quiet of hyperspace or dark nights on deserted moons, the idea of… Propositioning whatever man laid beneath the beskar seemed like an okay idea. But once the stars stopped blurring through the windshield or the sun rose on your camp, those thoughts evaporated like morning dew and you were left with a hollow feeling—more than a little lonely."
Warnings: When I say 18+, I mean 18+. Unprotected sex (wrap it up, folx!), language, fingering, blow job, cursing, light choking, hair pulling, pretty unedited, just plan on a cold shower afterwards and probs don't read on the work wifi.
Summary: Mando's gone, the kids asleep, and you're bored. And maybe feeling some other things, but you've never had a problem taking care of those things on your own. And just when you start thinking it'd be more fun if someone else was helping you out...
A/N: SMUT. I mean, ahem, smut. It's all smut. Maybe a little fluff but 98% smut. Today is Pornhub's 15th anniversary (don't ask, shut up) and the 45th anniversary of the beginning of Star Wars so I put it all together as an excuse to get SPICY. 😂 Thank you so much to @creatively-analytical and @peetiespetals for beta-reading and giving me feedback, love you both SO MUCH. 💖 As always, love you all. Come say hi and let me know what you'd like to see!

Back with another late night Blurb Tuesday. I've been really feeling like ass the last few days so have some self-indulgent comfort from our favorite Metal Man. 💖
No real warnings here, reader is sick and Din comforts her. Calls her "sweet girl" and there's mention of brushing back hair but not a lot of description past that.

My #1 post of 2022
I wish you'd write a fic where...
Either Din or Poe pretends to the readers fake boyfriend at a bar/crowded place. To get rid of unwanted attention, they swear. That's the only reason.
😉
Oh well twist my arm. 😍
Tumblr media
Pairing: Din Djarin x fem!Reader
Word Count: 2.3k
Rating: T, I think, but the whole blog is 18+ NO EXCEPTIONS
Excerpt: "Without saying anything you leap into the thick of the rabble, knowing Mando would follow you. The last months of working together had built an understanding between the two of you. You move, he moves. He jumps, you follow. Like your favorite book, you knew exactly what was going to happen when Mando went out into the world and he could rely on that consistency from you as well, all without either of you having to utter a word."
Warnings: Canon typical violence, a grabby guy at a bar, some unspoken feelings, mentions of alcohol, just a hint of angst.
Summary: Hunting with Mando is a great time, but why do people keep trying to hide in bars?
A/N: This lil fic was requested by @creatively-analytical and is also 1000% dedicated to you, my love! I figured your birthday was as good a time as any to answer this! Here's a little protective!Din fic, dedicated to you. I'm SO HAPPY you exist and I'm so thankful our paths crossed. LOVEYOUSOMUCHHAPPYBIRTHDAY

The Stranger The Better (FNAF SB fanfic) C5 - The Plot Chickens
Read the intro to Chapter 1 (Enter A Sleepy Bitchard) for more details! I'd start reading there anyways else things won't make a whole lot of sense lol
In Summary: Reader is a forever exhausted young adult who has social difficulties doing their best to pay the bills, so when they get hired at the well-paying, almost entirely automated Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizza-Plex, they don't really hesitate to think things through before stumbling headfirst into a horror mystery surrounding this company and its crew of quirky (and surprisingly kind) animatronics.
Things To Know (lmk if I should add anything, also check the tags for more stuff):
There are some horror elements in several chapters! This particular chapter isn't too spooky.
Eventual romance, minorly important to the plot.
Reader has paranoia.
There is much swearing.
Reader is also addicted to energy drinks, and not fantastic at self care.
Reader is nonbinary (and also trans masc) though it's not vital to the plot and only comes up once or twice.
Reader is from the south, is protective of their friends, and if you threaten their friends then I'm afraid you've yee'd your last haw and yes that is important to the plot

C5 - The Plot Chickens
     You had memorized your punch in code at last. You’d almost used the code you clocked into your deli job with a few times now while clocking in. You snatched an energy drink from the mini fridge and set out on your route.
     Almost immediately, you ran into the bear bot, who’d been strolling by towards the hall with all the rooms.
     “Hey… man. How’s it hanging?” you asked. You still did not know this bot’s name.
     “I am just taking a stroll to clear my thoughts. How are you, superstar?” The bear bot smiled kindly at you.
     “I’m tired. But not for long.” You took a long sip of your energy drink. “Hey, I wanted to ask you something, if you’re not busy?”
     “Ask away!” The bear took a very casual stance, conveying a very open and unhurried attitude.
     “So… are yall allowed to leave the building?” You had more questions, but wanted to start with that one first.
     “If we need to, sure. But we never really need to.” The bear shrugged.
     “But do you want to leave from time to time?”
     The bear paused, studying you quizzically. “I’ll admit, I am curious about what is outside the pizza-plex. But if anything were to happen… it is just too great a risk.” The bear shook his head.
     “I mean. I think you’re sturdy enough for a walk around town, dude.”
     “Perhaps,” the bear mused.
     “So yall don’t get paid. Don’t get days off. And I get the feeling you’re all generally discouraged from leaving the building.” You paused, studying the bear’s reaction. You couldn’t gather much, so you continued. “This seems… like, bad. Like… if yall want to have lives outside of this place, you should totally be able to.”
     “I… appreciate your concern, Y/N.” The bear gently pat your shoulder. “But you don’t need to worry about us. We’re not human like you. Things work differently for us. It’s not like we don’t like it here either, each of us finds the day to day responsibilities to be very rewarding and meaningful.”
     “Hmm.” You squinted suspiciously. This still didn’t sit right with you. “Listen… if yall ever decide you wanna form a union or something, I’ve got your backs.”
     The bear smiled. “That is very kind of you, superstar.”
     You left the topic alone for now and wished the bear a good night, managing to not awkwardly call him ‘bud’ again.
     You got halfway through your rounds (and all the way through your energy drink) before you ran into someone else. Luckily, it was Chica, who seemed friendly enough towards you.
     “Hey Chica! How goes it?” you greeted.
     “It’s going good, I was just on my way to parts and service. A kid stuck a Mr. Hippo magnet on my eye today and I accidentally damaged it pulling it off.” Chica pointed to her right eye, which was dim and stationary, staring straight ahead while her left eye looked down at you.
     “Aw man, I’m sorry to hear that. Is there anything I can do?” you asked.
     “Would you mind escorting me, actually? I keep bumping into walls and things,” Chica said sheepishly.
     “Of course! I can do that.” You pulled out your map. You quickly realized that this was still a guest map and did not display parts and service. “Uh… I actually don’t know where it is. I’ll just walk along with you and steer you away from any walls if necessary,” you said.
     “Okay!”
     You offered Chica your elbow like a gentleman would for a lady. Chica giggled and graciously accepted, gently setting a hand in your arm.
     “Why thank you!” Chica smiled and began walking, you falling into step with her. “I’m surprised you don’t know your way around by now. You walk around every night.”
     “Well, I don’t know about every employee room and whatnot, I’ve only got a guest map,” you explained. “I’ve got all the guest areas down pat, though.”
     “So you’ve never been in any of the access tunnels or anything??” Chica asked.
     “…Access tunnels?” You raised an eyebrow. You did your best not to freak out over the realization that you, a security guard, had not known about these tunnels.
     “Well, you’re about to find out.” Chica slowed as you neared an ‘employee’s only’ door. Your watch unlocked it without issue just like all the other employee doors. You held the door open for Chica, then stepped in after her.
     “Oh.” You raised your flashlight and approached the railing of the stairs you were standing at the top of. You peered down the industrial metal steps with disdain. “I see they saved money in the budget by sparing some expenses in places people don’t usually see.”
     “Yeah, its usually just us animatronics back here. Usually we just use the tunnels to get to parties and events on time, since guests aren't allowed back here. The access tunnels lead to every room in the building, as well as some employee only areas. The storage warehouse, the security room, parts and service…” Chica trailed off. “Can you help me down the stairs?”
     “Oh! Yes.” You lead Chica to the stairs, telling her precisely when she reached the edge of the platform and watching her footing like a hawk as the two of you started down the steps. “Is this stairway OSHA approved??” you questioned, frowning as you realized the metal stairs were more rust than anything else. It was dusty as well. Clearly no one ever cleaned in the access tunnels.
     “What’s OSHA?” Chica asked.
     You explained as you got into a rhythm, making your way at a decent pace down the steps. “Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Basically, they assure safe and healthy working conditions for workers by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance. OSHA's workplace safety inspections have been shown to reduce injury rates and injury costs without adverse effects to employment, sales, credit ratings or firm survival.”
     “You sure do know your stuff.” Chica looked at you curiously with her one good eye.
     You shrugged. “You learn a lot of really weird stuff when you’re a writer.”
     “You’re a writer??” Chica gasped. “Have you published any novels? What kind of stories do you write?”
     “I’ve published a few little short stories online, no novels yet. I write all sorts of stuff, fantasy, sci-fi, surreal, a little bit of horror, little bit of romance. I do tend to lean more towards fantasy though. That’s what I grew up with, ya know?”
     “I see!” Chica nodded. “Would you ever write me into one of your stories??”
     You smiled. You got that question a lot after telling people you were a writer. “Sure, I’ll have ya make a cameo or something. You’re a very cool character so it shouldn’t be hard.”
     “Aww that’s sweet!” Chica smiled.
     The two of you reached the bottom of the stairs, having passed several tunnels leading different ways on your way down. You noted a security camera in this darkened corridor. You suddenly recognized this hallway, having checked it over dozens of times on your watch. The unknown cameras suddenly clicked into place in your head. They were here, in these dingy access tunnels. No wonder you couldn’t figure out where they were in the building, you hadn’t even known the tunnels existed until tonight.
     “I’ve got my work cut out for me, it seems… I’ll have to memorize the layout of all these tunnels,” you mumbled. You passed different corridors and rooms, supply closets and electrical closets and generators, as well as exposed pipes and grimy posters about safety hazards.
     “You’re really taking your job seriously, huh?”
     “Of course.” You paused. You’d been a little worried that you hadn’t been doing it well enough, especially now that you’d realized there was a whole network of tunnels you hadn’t been checking. But it wasn’t exactly your fault if no one told you anything, right? You didn’t remember management sending you any emails about routes to take or where to patrol. You hadn’t even been informed about the security room. “Would you mind showing me to the security room once you’re all fixed up?”
     “Sure! I’ll return the favor and escort you. Although the security room is really boring. There’s just lots of monitors and stuff in there. It’s where Vanessa usually spends her shift,” Chica said.
     “That’s the other guard, right?”
     “Yep! She does walk around sometimes, but I get the feeling you’re a lot more diligent than her.”
     “I see…” So Vanessa just checked the cameras during her shift. Maybe you were going a little above and beyond, intently checking every little nook and cranny on your rounds. You realized you’d been holding onto a little bit of stress, trying to do this job as best as you possibly could. You took a deep breath and let it go. You weren’t going to stop being diligent, but you were going to stop worrying about whether or not you were doing enough.
     The two of you arrived at last at parts and service, which was equally as dingy as the rest of the network of tunnels. The room was quite large and circular. A complex looking enclosed machine situated over an impersonal metal table sat in the center of the room. A few desks were positioned haphazardly nearby, holding computers and dusty cardboard boxes and scattered papers and pens.
     “What a fuckin mess,” you grumbled.
     Chica went to the computer and booted it up, the dull screen struggling to illuminate the surroundings. Chica ran some sort of automated program, and the machine in the center of the room powered itself on. Chica situated herself on the metal table and gave you a thumbs up. “This will only take a minute,” Chica promised.
     “Okie dokie.” You stood to the side and checked your watch. You recognized the positioning of several more cameras now, though you’d yet to locate all of them throughout the tunnels. Everything looked good, so you turned your attention to the desks and idly began cleaning things up and organizing. You pushed the tables you could move against the wall, collected and tapped all the papers into a neat stack and set them on the desk with the computer, which you hadn’t been able to move, as the computer and the monitor were massive and had several thick cables running from it to the machine and the wall as well. You started moving boxes, stacking them neatly under the desks against the wall.
     Unfortunately, one of the last few boxes had gotten some sort of suspicious fluid on it, and the bottom half of it had gotten soggy and rotten. The box fell apart as you carelessly lifted it, spilling its contents all over the floor.
     You cursed and tossed the nasty cardboard aside. You eyed the items on the floor, deciding to just pile them all on one of the tables. The contents were odd, you realized, as you started gathering things up.
     A box of candies, all wrapped in shiny blue paper. A pair of plushies, sharing Moon’s likeliness. A nightcap that looked just like Moon’s, if much older, the colors heavily faded. A pair of pants, also resembling Moon’s pants, also faded. A curious pair of red ribbons with little bells on the ends. Last but not least, a big chunky key. An odd item, in this massive complex of automation and fancy watch scanning technology.
     You glanced over at Chica, who was still laying on the table, unable to see you around the machine. You pocketed the key. It felt important, like something you needed to advance in a video game. The dungeon boss’s key… Or something.
     You finished cleaning stuff up and had just finished neatly folding the weird clothing items when the machine finally powered down and Chica got up.
     “Ahhh, much better!” Chica blinked both eyes. They were both lit now, and both moving together. Chica smiled at you and winked with her repaired eye.
     “Eye am glad it went well!” you said.
     Chica rolled her eyes, but smiled. “Common, I’ll show you where the security room is.”
     Chica offered her elbow to you. You laughed and took it, letting Chica lead you out of parts and service and down another confusing series of corridors and halfway up a different stairwell. Partway down a narrow hall was a door labeled ‘Security Room’. Your watch allowed the two of you access.
     “Here we are.” Chica waved grandly at the small room. “Dusty filing cabinets and ancient computers! How exciting.”
     You eyed the filing cabinets. The keyholes in the cabinets were all far too small to fit the massive chunky key you’d found. You frowned and looked over the desk next. The office rolling chair pushed under it was incredibly worn, and there were lots of coffee rings staining the surface of the desk. An array of six monitors were positioned over the desk, each flipping to a different camera in the complex every couple of seconds. The monitors seemed to be grouped by general areas.
     There were a few cardboard boxes in here as well, as well as a few clearly forgotten cleaning supplies and a first aid kit. The floor looked old and scuffed. there were several scrapes along the linoleum to the right of the filing cabinet on the end. There was a little red tool bag under the desk, as well as a space heater. An old fan sat in the corner of the room.
     “Well. It’s good to know where this place is at least.” You shrugged. You noted the important things to keep in mind for later- the tool bag and the first aid kit could both be found here.
     “Shall I escort you back to the main building?” Chica asked, already halfway out the door.
     “Sure, thank you.” You were already formulating a plan in your head to do your rounds quickly tomorrow night and spend the rest of your shift exploring these access tunnels. With a small break to say hi to Moon, of course. Speaking of, you were looking forward to seeing Sun again tonight. Maybe you could even ask him about the weird Moon-themed stuff that had been in that box.
     Chica and you split ways with friendly goodbyes once you were back in the low neon light of the main building, leaving the grimy access tunnels behind for now.
     You checked through the cameras, pausing at ones you didn’t recognize to really study what you now knew were the access tunnels and their adjacent rooms. You finished your sweep of the building and made a beeline for the daycare.
     The doors were open when you arrived. You walked right on in, spotting Sun immediately. He was gathering and tossing colorful plastic balls into the ball pit, hunting around for more.
     “Hey, Sunny!” you greeted. “What’s up, buttercup?”
     “Y/N!!” Sun straightened in delighted surprise, then took a running start and crossed the entire width of the ball pit in a glorious leap.
     “Woah!” You were thoroughly impressed by this feat, but quickly shook it off. Your held your arms out, ready for a hug.
     “A hug for little old me!!” Sun exclaimed, crossing the distance in no time and sweeping you up in a tight hug.
     You pat Sun’s back. “Course, I love hugs. You give really great ones.”
     “Aww! So do you!” Sun set you back down and did an excited little dance. “How was your day?? Tell me all about it, even the boring bits!”
     You smiled. “Well, I worked kitchen again today. It wasn’t too busy today so it wasn’t bad at all, closed right on time. Hence my more presentable appearance tonight.” You chuckled. “Got a few new oil burns though. Stupid hot and spicy wings are so slippery, its hard to drop them carefully into the oil…”
     Sun gasped and immediately took your arm. They peered at the tiny splotches of burned skin, making concerned noises before pulling out their first aid kit.
     “Aw, look, it’s alright, I get burns all the time. They’ll fade by tomorrow, its no big,” you tried to say, but Sun would have none of it. He dutifully dabbed burn cream on each little spot, doing the same with the other arm as well.
     “There, all better! That wasn’t so bad, now was it?” Sun put their first aid kit away.
     “I feel like you guys pull that kit out every time you see me,” you joked.
     “I know! You need to be more careful,” Sun scolded gently.
     “Bahhh.” You waved him off. “But yeah, had a friendly little chat with that bear guy, and discovered that there's actually a whole labyrinth of secret tunnels in the building. Chica showed me where the security room is, don’t tell anyone I didn’t know about it till tonight.” You laughed awkwardly. You rambled about the access tunnels for a minute, explaining that you were helping Chica get to parts and service, before you finally got to what you wanted to ask. Sun listened patiently and quietly, occasionally making little affirmative noises. “-And then the box fell apart, of course. And there was some weird stuff inside I wanted to ask you guys about.”
     “Oh?” Sun tilted their head.
     “It looked like Moon’s stuff? Like, old clothes, old plushies of him, some candy that’s probably discontinued and expired, these little bells on ribbons. Is that, like, old nostalgic stuff Moon put in storage or something?”
     Sun had gone completely still. “…Or something.” Sun’s hands started fidgeting. “When Moon was… when I became the primary daycare attendant, they… well, we thought they threw out all of Moon’s merchandise and things, but it looks like some of it found its way into storage.”
     “Oh.” You frowned. “They just… took their stuff? Yall didn’t know about it…?”
     “Don’t you worry, sunshine! Moon is very happy to know some of his things are still around. Thanks for letting us know!” Sun became animated once more, swaying and smiling happily.
     You said nothing.
     “…Y/N?” Sun looked concerned.
     “I’ll be right back,” you stated, then promptly left the daycare, leaving a confused Sun behind.
     It took you a lot longer than you would have liked to find your way back to parts and service. Luckily, you spotted yourself on one of the cameras through your watch and puzzled out the general area around you by flipping through the closest cameras.
     You returned to the daycare, arms full of everything that had been in that box. Well, almost everything.
     “Here. Moon’s stuff. It belongs to him,” you said, holding out the bundle to a shocked Sun.
     “Oh. I… we… thank you.” Sun carefully took the items. “Thank you so much.”
     You nodded. “Its Moon’s stuff. Belongs to them. I know you can’t leave the daycare and I wasn’t sure if the stuff would still be there tomorrow, so… yeah.”
     Sun studied you for a moment. He gently set down the bundle of Moon’s stuff on the top of the cubbies nearby, then pulled you into another hug.
     “Thank you,” Sun said again.
     “No problem, sunflower. You don’t need to thank me, though.” You hugged Sun back regardless.
     “Well too bad!” Sun said, releasing you. “Thank you thank you thank you!”
     You laughed. “Twas my pleasure.” You did an awkward little bow.
     Sun returned the bow, much less awkwardly. “Enough about Moon, though! It’s my night tonight! You can talk all about Moon tomorrow with Moon. I’m sure he’d love that.” Sun rolled their eyes.
     “Right. What’ll it be tonight? Another game? I let you off easy at hide and seek last time, don’t expect the same again!”
     “Ahh yes, of course you did,” Sun teased. “I was actually hoping you’d be up for reading another one of your adventures to me??”
     “Oh yeah, alright.” You smiled and pulled out your phone. You quickly checked the cameras before relaxing and locating the next entry in your adventure log. “Alright… okay, so this is when I took a flight down to Florida to visit my aunt. She’s a very cool and wise lady.”
     Sun nodded excitedly, bouncing in his seat.
     You started reading, encouraged by Sun’s endless enthusiasm.
     ‘The flight here was surprisingly not as long as I thought it was going to be… I guess time flies when you’re on an airplane.’
     Sun giggled.
     ‘Ok but seriously, despite having to navigate an airport the size of a city, the flight to Florida wasn’t bad. But boy are my arms tired!’
     Sun laughed. You smiled and went on.
     ‘Anyways. Flight was delayed a bit by weather. Actually got to see a few lightning storms from above on the way here. That was cool…’
     You recounted your aunt picking you up from the airport, and her list of activities she had planned. You told Sun about the delicious cookies you’d eaten for breakfast, and the little adventures you and your aunt went on around town. You had pizza, looked at a greenhouse full of tiny plants, talked about your life, and your romantic life (and lack thereof) and saw some trains. You paused to briefly explain your fascination with trains, just something about the idea of leaning your head against a window as the countryside rolls past, and the impressive transportation machines themselves, the look of them and the complexity of all their parts.
     You went on, scrolling to the next day. ‘The day starts with Bok Tower, aka the singing tower. When I say the place was serene, I mean that in my 20 years of existence upon this Earth I have never felt more relaxed than I did sitting alone on a bench in an open field overlooking the orange tree grove with the soft melodic bells of Bok Tower filling the air around me.’
     “How lovely…” Sun whispered.
     ‘Living is worth the experiences I gain in return for my continued existence.’ You paused, hesitating. You explained, “uh, I’ve got depression. And anxiety. And paranoia. And… jeez, a lot of stuff. I used to struggle with it all a lot more. Not as much these days. These little adventures really helped. And therapy.”
     You cleared your throat and continued. ‘I write stories in the car. There are moments when nothing exists but the universes I create and the characters within them… Next we visit a chocolate museum.’
     You told Sun all about the kind tour guide who laughed like a friend and all the delicious free samples you’d gotten to eat at the end. Then you recounted a few more little adventures, searching an IKEA for a pot for some tiny cacti your aunt had bought (you did not find an adequate pot), a funny bumper sticker you’d seen on a car, and a neighborhood full of peacocks, followed by a stop for delicious ice cream. The next day, you’d gone to an art museum, where you had taken more than enough photos. You went to a pottery studio, watched movies, and had been subjected to your aunt’s interrogation of what you had thought of said movies.
     Your last day of the trip was very laid back and full of good food and better company. Your aunt passionately explained the plot of ‘Phantom of the Opera’ to you in great detail, much to your entertainment and joy. You planted the cacti in a pot that arrived via delivery, and you watched more movies.
     ‘I pack for my returning flight. I don’t want to leave… I’ll have to come back when the weather isn’t trying to roast me alive.’
     You exhaled and put your phone away. “And there you have it.”
     “I love that one so much!” Sun sighed happily. “Your aunt sounds so kind and amazing.”
     “She really is.” You beamed. “I love her a lot.”
     “I can tell! It sounds like the two of you had lots if fun! Ooh and that singing tower sounds so magical…” Sun got this happy dreamy look on their face.
     You smiled. You felt something that luckily didn’t take too long to decipher. Fondness. Not that you knew what to make of it or do with the emotion, now that you knew what it was. You tried your best at a compliment. “Thanks for listening to my silly little adventures. You’re a cool friend, Sun. I like hanging out with you.”
     “Thank you for sharing your adventures with me!!” Sun leapt up and wrapped you in another hug, lifting you off your feet and swinging you from side to side. “You’re a very cool friend. Moon and I are very lucky to have you in our lives.”
     “Aw, hush!” You laughed, pleased with this response. “Thanks.” Success, you were getting a good grade in friendship, something both normal to want and possible to achieve.
     Sun set you down and gave you a little pat on the head. “Would you read me another adventure next time? Maybe we can even make a habit of it??”
     “I only have so many adventures,” you said.
     “Then you can read me your stories when you’ve read all the adventures!”
     “Oh boy,” you laughed nervously. “We’ll see about that. I’ll read you another adventure next time, though. Which, actually… won’t be for a couple days. After tomorrow, I have the next two days off.”
     Sun pouted and slumped over. “Awwwww.”
     You rolled your eyes at Sun's silliness. “Don’t worry, I’ll be back to bother you before you know it.”
     “You’re never a bother, dear,” Sun said.
     You checked the cameras. Everything still looked alright. “I’d better get back to my rounds. I’ll see you soon, alright?”
     “…One more hug before you go?” Sun asked, flashing those puppy dog eyes at you again.
     “No need for the eyes, silly head. Come here.” You held your arms out.
     Sun hugged you tightly, squeezing you a little before finally letting you go. “Have a good night, Y/N! Moon wants you to get some sleep!”
     “Thanks.” You smiled and waved as you departed.
     Your head was swimming on the drive home. You had a lot of questions, and a lot of… feelings. It was all troublesome for your tired brain to unpack and sort through. You thought about Moon’s box of belongings. You thought about Sun and how unfalteringly kind they were. You thought about Chica, hoped her new eye was working out alright. And your conversation with the bear bot, and how you still felt weird about the whole situation with the animatronics. You weren’t sure what to do about it yet, though.
     In the back of your mind, underlying everything else, was the key sitting heavily in your pocket.

you mentioned in the tags of this post that you think Gar and Jane would have been chaotic besties, and I would love to hear any headcanons or thoughts you have about those two, if you'd be open to share? Or I'd love to hear more about your thoughts on Gar and Jinx if you'd rather talk about that
(also! hi! we haven't talked but my teen titans blog is bilingual-beast-boy. it's really great to find another blog who loves gar :) )
hi! thank you for the ask,, I love talking about my hcs for Gar and his relationships with other characters lol
for Jane (if she was in the Titansverse that is), I can't imagine she was very happy when she learned Chief brought a kid to Doom Manor and that it was his next "save" because they all know what it really means when Chief "saves" someone. He probably caused their accident and now is gonna use/treat them like an animal.
Ya know, "not being very happy" is an understatement. Jane would be PISSED. She's extremely protective of children because of what happened to her. And then here's the Chief strolling back into the manor with some sickly, terrified-looking thirteen year old boy with green hair at his side, that he informed will be living with them now. If that didn't make her upset, learning that Chief completely stripped this kid's humanity away and turned him into something beyond science's understanding, ruining an innocent kid's childhood, sure would make her want to put her fist through Chief's face.
I can see her threatening Chief too, telling him if she finds out he's been using Gar as a lab rat or gets his gross hands anywhere near him for anything besides check ups on his powers, she'll bash his face into the pavement.
since Jane is permanently in her 20s, she'd be the member closest to Gar's age (13 at arrival) so she takes up the role of big - probably.. maybe.. not the best influence - sister, who makes sure Chief stays the fuck in line.
Out of all the Doom Patrol's powers I always thought Gar's matched Jane's in a sort of way since he also has a bunch of different beings living inside him that are able to affect his thoughts/actions. They're just animals with their own feelings and thoughts instead of differently personalities.
and since Gar went years without having his powers, he was very overwhelmed and scared when they started giving him animal urges and the animals themselves began to communicate with him in their way. Because only Jane could put herself in his shoes, understand how he was feeling- at least a little, she was the one to help him quiet all the voices in his head and teach him how to live with it since his powers aren't going anywhere.
For the chaotic hcs:
-Gar's favorite swear of "bullshit" he picked up from Jane. She said it A LOT, especially to Cliff. Like she and Cliff will be arguing about something, Jane will end it with "That's such bullshit, Cliff. Fuck off, you metal dick!" before leaving and Gar, who was in the room, has to add "It was bullshit, man", which makes Cliff snap at him with "Don't you start, you little shit!" and then Gar follows after Jane with a dumb grin on his face.
-Jane taught Gar how to sneak out and very much encouraged him to keep doing it with a "Niles can go fuck himself, go out and have fun" and would add "If you need me to buy you a 6 pack or anything else, I will" which Gar always declined. When Gar started filling his room with stolen stuff and Jane found out, she just gave him a fist bump, telling him "Keep up the good work, your room looks sick". then suggested easy places to steal from.
-And speaking of sneaking out, Gar would often follow Jane when she'd leave Doom Manor and join in whatever she was doing.. sometimes. If what she was doing is something he's comfortable with, he'll join, but stand and ignore it if he wasn't.
now onto Jinx, there isn't as much as Jane but I can see her getting a kick out of messing with people but gets annoyed when she can't get under Dick or Rachel's skin, so moves onto the softie Gar Logan, sure she'll be able to bug him. Surprise, surprise, she can't bug Gar because Gar is also secretly just as chaotic as her and isn't bothered by her jabs at all.
So instead of Jinx seeing him as someone to mess with, she lowkey sees him as a teammate and lets him add his sarcastic comments and jokes after hers, which gets on Dick's nerves.
If they went on a duo mission, something would probably be caught on fire or blown up, even if by accident. Like Jinx would call Nightwing, tell him "Hey Grayson, something happened on our mission and now we're stuck in an elevator" and in the background Gar is laughing his ass off because he's the reason they're in that situation. If something chaotic and dumb was gonna happen on a mission, it'd be to them. Neither Gar nor Jinx have the best luck.
While Rachel and Tim are investigating the proper way, Jinx would be spray painting "if you're evil and a part of a cult please call this number, I wanna join" on a building's wall while Gar helps.
Dick and Kory wouldn't like how Jinx is influencing Gar and Rachel would be jealous (in a "hey, wait, that's my best friend" way, not a romantic way) Gar has buddied up with someone else to joke around with instead of her.
if Gar was a villain, he and Jinx could absolutely be partners in crime tbh so i'mma add Jinx to the list of villains Gar would vibe with, right below Poison Ivy, who's definitely number one.
sorry about the wait! This was so much fun to write! also I love your Beast Boy blog!! It's always nice to meet someone who loves Gar as well 💚

I've decided to watch MacGyver from the beginning (again), and I'm live tweeting the experience with every tweet tagged with #savemacgyver. I thought it would be fun to share my collected thoughts from the episodes on here as well.
My Thoughts on S1E2, "Metal Saw"
Seriously love the music in this show!
THE FREAKING BELT GRAB. You can tell they've done this kind of thing before.
I always love it when Jack and Mac have heart-to-hearts in the middle of super intense, dangerous situations. Like... it's sweet, but time and place, guys?
"Hi, I'm Jack." Nervous Jack is bebby.
Ew, sweat. Like, I know it's "realism" to have sweat stains on clothes in situations like these, but that's one bit of realism I can always do without. Gross.
Is that a bit of PTSD I'm seeing with Mac there on the couch? That's a kind of realism I can always get behind.
Riley finding Mac and Boze in that compromising position will never not be funny. "But he was on top." I love Riley more every episode.
Riley is a really good liar from day one.
I love the joke about ex-cons benefiting from being in relationships with stable people (i.e., fake boyfriend Bozer), then the immediate cut to Bozer with his whole arm inside the vending machine. Great stuff.
Love the Riley and Bozer bonding... right up until the cringe-tastic "Slide me your digits."
"Soon, I'm gonna woo you the same way Romeo would have wooed Juliet if they had Snapchat back in the Renaissance." Bozer and his surprisingly accurate pickup lines. The Renaissance did in fact start in Italy around the 14th century, when R&J is thought to take place.
I love all this psychoanalyzing of Mac. "Adapting is his survival mechanism." Also I'm living for Jack sticking up for Mac to Patti.
"This place has been searched by everybody and their dog." Is this a Texas thing or an old guy saying? Either way it's great.
Nothing beats the early days of Mac and Jack. Nothing. I wish we had gotten more interactions where Jack has to parent Mac: "Stop touching that. Look at me." ❤️❤️❤️
Jack so concerned about Mac and putting on the kid gloves = everything I could have ever asked for and more.
Jack has such a big heart. Poor guy, the look on his face when he sees that the reporter is actually Sarah...
Paperclip sculptures: When I first started watching the show, I thought they were lame. Now I miss them so much. Does that mean I've gotten lamer or that they were always cool and I was always lame?
"Closest time I ever came to coming home in a box." Oof. This line hits different now, and not in a good way.
I just love how Jack is this big tough ex-Delta who is so open about his emotions, particularly with Mac. And the way Mac reassures him... Their bromance is top-tier.
"Oh, like when they invented fire!" Another zinger.
Mac grabbing that giant cigar right out of that dude's mouth 😂😂😂
Love some good fight-scene Mac whump! 👏👏👏 And bar fights are always a blast!
Riley with the car door - such a boss. "What? You told me to stay in the car, and I did."
I've seen some people say they don't like S1 Mac's hair. I kind of dig it, to be honest. He looks like he's 5, but I love it.
Mac has made a lot of DIY cutting torches in his time, but they never get less impressive.
Jack trusting Mac to save Sarah while he keeps watch is just *chef's kiss*!
These early episodes have so many MacGyverisms. One right after the other. It's awesome.
I've never been a big fan of the dark either, Mac.
The first scene with Mac and Sarah is so beautifully tense and whumpy (he way he scrabbles for purchase, gasps for breath, that hitch in his voice as he tries to squeak out Jack's name) that I had to rewind and watch it again.
The hopeful disbelief in her voice: "Jack Dalton came for me?"
Sarah can kick some serious ass. I can see why Jack likes her. Too bad she's about to lead him on the rest of the episode, while actually having a fiance...
Sarah: *leans out of car, shooting her weapon with deadly, terrifying precision* Riley: I agree, this woman should not have kids. 😂 Everything that comes out of Riley's mouth is gold.
Riley asleep in the back of the car while Mac sits quietly and Jack and Sarah have a sweet moment is like mom and dad with the kids in the backseat. Except mom has a fiance and hasn't told dad yet, even though she's had ample opportunity.
Because seriously, Sarah. It's not that hard to tell him the truth. Giving him those big eyes and flirting with him, thinking he has a chance is just cruel. I have never liked her character, and this is why.
Mac and Jack giggling about Jack's crush on Sarah like middle-school girls is life.
"You're just gonna have to let that go." Man, I love their relationship.
Gosh, the scene where they find Luis always hurts so badly. These early episodes did not play around.
"There isn't always time to beg some suit back home for permission to do what's right." I'm not a fan of Sarah, but I love this line. Also, this is pretty much the synopsis of the whole show.
Riley's hair used to be so LONG! 😍
The loyalty of these three! And I love the OG trio so much.
This sleazy guy in the computer place makes my skin crawl.
Love how Patti's like, "Mac will be back by then." Not Jack, not Riley. Just Mac. Can we say teacher's pet? I actually lowkey love this though.
"Who is this guy?" Much like Doctor Who's "It's bigger on the inside," I never get tired of people being equally amazed and confused at the stuff Mac can do.
I've never been the biggest car chase junkie, but Barrios jumping over the car using that log in the road is pretty dope.
Sarah's rage is chilling. And Jack talking her down breaks me every time.
Again, I love the loyalty of our team. Everyone sticks up for each other, ending with Mac's totally unbelievable but still somehow 100% genuine "It was me. I forced them." TOO good.
First mention of Oversight this early. Just thinking about who it is that doesn't like unsanctioned ops just makes me 😤 I wonder if the writers knew who OS was at this point or if it was a later development.
I do wish we could have gotten more conspiratorial, approving Patti. She's so much better than expressionless, bland Patti.
The way Sarah never told Jack about her fiance Jeff (who is in fact a cinnamon roll but still a discount Jack) pisses me off. "I tried to tell you." Yeah, right. It's not that hard to say, "Yo, I'm in a relationship."
Jack NEVER should have found out about Jeff the way he did. There's no excuse.
It's not okay, Jack. She did you wrong. You didn't deserve that. Stand up for yourself, man. Gosh, he's so broken here, and I hate it.
"At least we have each other... Don't look at me. I know how weird it sounded." THESE TWO I SWEAR 🤣🤣🤣
Poor Mac. I do love how we get his obsessive tendencies so early in the show, and how they keep coming back, even as late as season 5. As someone with clinically diagnosed OCD, this makes me feel seen and I love being able to relate to my favorite character.
Love the found family antics at the end. Riley and Bozer making dinner while Mac and Jack play basketball? Perfection.
Lol, Bozer calling Riley a "caramel goddess" has such Schmidt/Cece vibes from New Girl, and I dig it!
Ew. More sweat. I know some people find sweaty men attractive, but that is NOT my vibe. I prefer my men clean and freshly laundered.
The way Riley glances back over her shoulder at them as she walks away, as if to make sure they're really there, that this is actually real!!!
"That's not even... that's true, actually. That's sad." Jack 🤣 Also, "I'm hungry." Big mood.
As a Grandpa Harry stan from the OG show, I eat up any mention of him in the new one. I just wish we'd gotten more of that wonderful man in the reboot. Still, I'll take what I can get!
I'd honestly forgotten how much I enjoy this episode! So solid, full of bromance, found family, and lots of good-natured bickering. Can't wait to watch the next one, hopefully tomorrow! In the meantime, please keep fighting for our show! Together we can #savemacgyver!
If anyone wants to join me in my re-watching and tweeting adventure, please do! It's my way to take about an hour a day in my busy, busy life to commit to the #savemacgyver movement. (And to enjoy my favorite show yet again!) If you do tweet as you watch, make sure to tag EVERY tweet with ONLY #savemacgyver so we can keep that hashtag trending! :)
Thanks for letting me share my (numerous) thoughts on this episode. This was really fun, and I hope it's something you all enjoy, too. I'd love to know what you all think of the episode in the comments! ❤️

i'm still reading thru all your HG meta so sorry if you've already gone into this, but I'd love to hear your headcanon of how Katniss and Gale reconnect after the war? i'm writing a story where they will indirectly through the relationship of Haymitch & Hazelle, all while Gale is struggling with how the new government still falls short of what he wanted and fought for (I won’t go into it more since it’s still a WIP lol). so I am curious to see how someone else thinks it could go. 1/2
2/2 Katniss’ forgiveness is something that seems far away if not unthinkable to her at the end of MJ, but I feel like time and space and some growth on Gale’s part could make it feasible. I don’t think they’ll ever be as close as best friends again unfortunately/tragically, but I like fic/meta that at least explores them forging some kind of a relationship again, even if it’s touchy/sensitive like in the Ashes of District Twelve series.
I swear, I totally meant to answer this sooner, but I totally forgot. Sorry!
So I don’t actually have a set headcanon of how it goes down. I do know these points (in my version of how it happens):
Neither of them makes the first move. Katniss is very stubborn and doesn’t reach out. Gale is all like “this is my Penance, I have lost her forever and it’s my fault. My presence will only hurt her and I shall stay away” like a little noble moron
Gale has her phone number memorized. He almost calls many times and one time dialed all the numbers but panicked and hung up on the first ring
Katniss constantly wonders how Gale is doing, but doesn’t ask. She still catches tidbits here and there from friends. Gale definitely does ask about her and gets updates from Greasy Sae
Gale has talked to Peeta (in general, he doesn’t ask him about Katniss even though he really wants to because he considers it to be cheating. cheating at what? he doesn’t know. his penance?) Peeta has told him to talk to her. Peeta has told Katniss to talk to him. They’re both stubborn idiots
When they do meet, it’s completely by accident. It’s at some event that they both have to attend. No one ask me what event (this takes place like 2 yrs after the war)
There’s a huge yelling match after the event. (“They were kids!” “I know! You think I don’t know that? You think I wanted that to happen?” “It was Prim!” “And if I could trade places with her, I would!”) It’s bad. It lasts for hours. They both cry. Inside, everyone is like “uhhh.... should we go out there?” but no one does.
Things are... tense, for however long the event lasts (days in my head). But somehow, they both agree to open communication again.
It takes a few more years, and a lot of effort, and letters and phone calls and visits but they do go back to being bffs. But the relationship is different. Not necessarily worse, though
Katniss forgives Gale loooong before he ever fully forgives himself (if ever)
Gale attends the Everlark wedding
.... I guess I had a more detailed headcanon than I thought.
Thanks for the ask!
(and tag me if you ever write the fic because it sounds great)

Chester and the Jesters (FNAF SB fanfic) C5 - A friendly game of minigolf
In Summary:
The new tech sure does seem a little strange. Chester (at least, that's what their name tag says) doesn't seem as concerned as they should be about the high turnover rate here at Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizza-Plex, or the numerous rumors about what happens to people who take the night shift. And to make matters worse, there seems to be some kind of criminal on the loose! The cops say they think the criminal is hiding out in the woods somewhere near the pizza-plex. Stress is high at the plex these days, but Chester is stoic as ever. Say, come to think of it, no one can seem to remember where Chester's application went or who they interviewed with. Their employee file is misplaced or missing just like everything else in this place. But the new tech does a good job completing their tasks, and has their own badge and everything, so of course they must belong here. It's not like someone would sneak into the plex and go this far out of their way to impersonate a low level technician. Right??
Things To Know (always read responsibly!):
Biggest warnings are for blood, death, knives, murder, the police, violence, also the OC is at one point hit by lightning. All fun stuff
About 70,000 words in total, 9 chapters, so roughly like. 7,500 words per chapter
This is an OC story, not a reader insert or a self insert! But if you want to imagine otherwise be my guest lol
Angst, fluff
OC x Sun & Moon, there's romance but zero spice
Occasional swearing
Heavy focus on Sun and Moon but most of the rest of the gang is there too :)
Afton doesn't exist, sorry peepaw, Vanessa is here but she's very chill. She's a kickass gamer girl lmao
Moon does an attempted murder but its fine. He's just a lil guy ok
OC uses they/them and also sign language most of the time
Impersonation, lying. There's also manipulation. Yall I wasn't kidding about the angst
There's also a lot of focus on how they're all robots, very cool robots with feelings lol
That's all I can think of, as always please lmk if I should add anything!
Ao3 Link: Right here!
Start reading here: Chapter 1
Chapter 4 | Chapter 5 | Chapter 6
C5 - A friendly game of minigolf
     Luckily for Chester, Vanessa was far too occupied ranting to them about videogame speed-run strategies to notice how slowly they were working or how intently they watched her work. Chester might be slow, but they were struggling a lot less with their tasks than they had been. Things like wiring and running diagnostics were starting to make sense, and when things didn't make sense, they could usually puzzle out a solution given enough time.
     Vanessa and Chester had just finished replacing a broken coin slot on one of the arcade cabinets (talking about the games in the arcade had quickly steered into favorite video games, of which Vanessa had quite a few) when they decided it was time for a break.
     "You'd think with how much of it there is around here I'd hate pizza by now, but I still crave it almost as much as Chica," Vanessa said. "You wanna go in on a pie with me?"
     "Sure, that sounds good." Chester called the elevator. They looked back at the arcade as they waited, watching a group of kids going absolutely feral on the arcade's connecting dance floor. The DJ, an enormous animatronic perched atop a stage, waved at Chester and Vanessa as they left the arcade. They both waved back.
     "The DJ is a really nice guy. Have you talked to him yet?" Vanessa asked. She pushed the button for the main floor, and the elevator made its decent towards the food court, energetic pop music coming in through an overhead speaker.
     "I haven't. I thought he couldn't talk? He doesn't have a voice box, just music files and speakers." Chester recalled DJMM's extensive diagrams.
     "He uses sign language, like you." Vanessa made the sign for 'sign language', moving her pointer fingers in opposing circles. "Between the two of you, I'm getting lots of practice!"
     Chester smiled at that. The elevator doors opened, and the two made quick work of acquiring lunch. The glamrocks were putting on a show for the lunchtime crowd. Chester and Vanessa passed a gaggle of kids loudly singing along on their hasty retreat from the commotion.
     The breakroom was blissfully quiet compared to the rest of the building. Chester's headaches were getting less frequent, but they still relished the reprieve from the cacophony of noise.
     The two sat at Chester's usual corner table. There were only two other employees in the break room, neither of them people Chester recognized. Chester happily dug into their cheap and extra cheesy mall food quality pizza with Vanessa.
     "Have those cops outside asked you any questions yet? They're sooo annoying. They nearly made me late for my shift this morning." Vanessa rolled her eyes.
     "I guess I've gotten lucky," Chester signed slowly, staring at their slice of pizza.
     Vanessa went on. "They apparently wanted to search the building, but they can't get a warrant. I asked a few questions myself, though. Get this- they haven't given up on the steak-out yet because the criminal they're after is wanted for murder. They lost the crook somewhere in the woods behind the plex, so they think the crook is hiding out there somewhere. Like, hiding in a tree fort or in a cave with some bears. One of my friends is super bummed cause they've got all the hiking trails closed off. But isn't that crazy?? There might be a murderer out there, right behind where we work." Vanessa wiggled her fingers at Chester. "Ooooh spooky!"
     Chester swallowed uncomfortably, nearly choking on their pizza. "Yeah. Crazy." They set the slice down, suddenly loosing their appetite. "Do the ghosts have any gossip to report?"
     Vanessa eagerly accepted the topic change, much to Chester's relief. "They do!! From what I hear, Lance got a boyfriend! He came to pick Lance up one night at the end of his shift. I'm told there was a very sweet kiss upon a cheek."
     "Good for him," Chester signed. "I think mister Baxter is a decent guy, if he's found someone then I'm glad for him."
     Vanessa nodded her agreement. "I wish I could find a special lady. I've been told I come on kinda strong." She sighed and picked at a burnt piece of pizza crust for a moment. "How about you? Got anyone special in your life?"
     Chester shook their head. "Besides the difficulties of finding someone who's actually alright with me being ace, I'm far too busy these days. I don't exactly get out much."
     "Oh yeah, I couldn't imagine working the night shift all the time like you do, and picking up extra day shifts on top of that! But hey, if you ever feel up to it, maybe sometime we can wingman each other? Hit the town, have some fun at the very least?" Vanessa's eyebrows bounced enticingly as she poked Chester's shoulder.
     "That does sound like fun…" Genuinely, Chester would have loved to hang out with Vanessa outside of work. It had been so long since they'd done that sort of thing. It'd been a long time since they'd had a friend. But… this wasn't real. Even if they could leave the plex, Chester wasn't at all who they were pretending to be. Vanessa didn't even know their real name. "I'm sorry, like I said I'm just really busy these days."
     "That's alright. If you ever need a break, offer still stands." Vanessa smiled.
     Chester and Vanessa went their separate ways once their break was over. Chester didn't have long to mull over the lonely sort of despair they'd brought upon themself before they ran into Rosa.
     "Hey, there you are. You done with your break?" Rosa asked. She shifted a thermos from one hand to another so she could pull out her faz-phone. "I need you to take a task for me. Its animatronic repair, but it's a simple one, shouldn't be too much trouble. Lance is off today so I'm covering a few of his duties."
     Chester couldn't come up with a good enough excuse to turn the task down. They'd managed to get by so far by cherry picking tasks they could manage, tasks that weren't as horribly consequential as repairing one of the animatronics. If they messed up something like that… Not only would they be at risk of someone figuring out they didn't actually belong here, but there was a chance they'd hurt the bot in question.
     "Thanks a million, Chester. You're a life saver. Keep up the good work, kid." Rosa pat Chester's shoulder and took a long swig from her thermos as she carried on past them.
     Chester looked down at their phone. They had a new high priority task. With no small amount of dread, Chester dragged their feet down to the access tunnels, making their way to parts and service. They struggled to remember everything they'd read about the animatronics, everything they'd studied and learned about wiring and welding.
     Despite their attempts to prolong their arrival at parts and service, Chester found that they'd arrived all too soon. They could have sworn they'd intentionally taken the long way around, but they never could get the hang of these hallways.
     The star of the whole plex, the bear mascot himself stood waiting for Chester by the enormous cylindrical machine at the room's center. Just their luck. Freddy Fazbear gave Chester a little wave as they entered the room. Chester noted his other arm hung a little awkwardly at his side.
     "Hello… I take it Miss Garcia could not make it?" Freddy asked.
     "She says she's covering some things for mister Baxter," Chester explained. They pulled up the task details. Rosa's descriptions were extremely brief, compared to Lance's long winded explanations. "Your right elbow joint seems to have been damaged?"
     "That is right. I took a step too close to Chica during our last performance, and… well, Chica gets really into her guitar playing at times," Freddy explained.
     "I see." Chester eyed the cylindrical machine. They approached the computer hooked up to it, powering it on and squinting at the complicated command menu. They quickly scanned through the options, finding only a few they understood. One of the commands was 'Run Diagnostic Scan'. Chester selected this. A prompt came up asking for Chester's technician code. They'd memorized their code by now, and plugged it in. Another prompt came up, alerting Chester that there was no animatronic to scan. They looked up at Freddy. "Would you mind stepping inside the cylinder?"
     "Of course, superstar." Freddy made his way into the cylinder, walking slowly. He had to duck a little to be sure he didn't bonk his top hat on the top of the doorway. He eyed the cold metal table and the dangling machinery above. "Do you want me to… Do I have to be on the table for this repair?"
     Chester paused. They had no idea if it was protocol or something to have the animatronic strapped to the table for repairs. But if Freddy had asked, maybe it wasn't? The scan seemed to be running just fine regardless. Chester eyed the table. They noted Freddy was eying the table as well, his metal brows pinched together in worry.
     "No, we should be fine," Chester signed.
     "Ah, good." Freddy's expression relaxed. "I find the table rather uncomfortable."
     Chester could imagine, though they wondered how an animatronic would even mind the hard surface. The bots had pressure sensors, and proximity sensors, but no way to tell the difference between textures.
     When the scan finished, Chester's faz-phone lit up with a very short list of replacement parts, and where to find them. Lucky for them, the joint and socket they needed were here in the room, on one of the shelves. Chester picked these up, comparing barcodes on the shelves to the codes on their phone. Thankfully, the plastic bin of spare joins seemed to have been stored away correctly. They probably had Lance to thank for that, what with how much time he spent down here in the access tunnels.
     Chester spotted a power generator against the wall, right by the bin of joints. Chester noted the generator in their head for later. They weren't sure how they'd get it all the way up to the daycare, but they figured they could puzzle that out when they came to it.
     Parts in hand, Chester stepped into the cylinder with Freddy. They set the parts on the unoccupied table.
     "Can I see your arm, please?" Chester asked.
     Freddy held out his damaged limb to them, even angling it so they could get at the screws holding the metal panels in place. Chester took in a deep breath and got to work removing the panel concealing the elbow joint.
     Once the panel was off, Chester stared at the joint for a long moment. They realized with a start that they actually knew what they were looking at. They could picture Freddy's diagram in their head, they knew what the joint was meant to look like, they knew how it connected to the sockets, they knew how the sockets were bolted in place. None of the wiring had been damaged, but even if it had, Chester realized that they knew how the wiring connected as well. With a sense of cautious relief, they took out their tools and got to work disconnecting the top socket.
     "Here, if you could place your arm over the table, I'll stand on the other side. That way the arm won't just fall once I've got the socket off," Chester signed.
     Freddy complied. He watched Chester work as they dismantled the joint, leaving his upper arm connected to the lower half by a bundle of wires. Chester got to work connecting the new joint together.
     "This doesn't… hurt, does it? Your arm being like this?" Chester asked.
     "Not at all, superstar. I do appreciate how gentle you are," Freddy said. "None of the wires are damaged, right? Wire reconnection is far more uncomfortable."
     "You're in luck, the wiring is fine," Chester assured.
     "Oh, good!"
     Chester glanced up at Freddy. He seemed far more relaxed now than he had earlier. His expression was set into a neutral smile and he was standing straight, though he was bent slightly over the table. Chester wondered briefly if it was strange for him to be in parts and service, where he was surrounded by storage shelves full of, essentially, replacement body parts.
     Chester's curiosity pressed at the edges of their brain, questions bouncing around like the worlds worst game of ping pong. "Pardon me if this is rude or upsetting to ask, but… what is pain like for you?"
     "I do not experience it very often. Sometimes the way my programming runs feels… disagreeable. Forgive me, it is not easy for me to describe. I have been told pain for humans often depends on what is causing the pain. I believe that much is true for me as well. Some circumstances are manageable or mitigatable. Wiring, for instance, is more manageable, however uncomfortable. Running power through a new wire is uncomfortable at first, it feels very tight, like squeezing through the head of a needle. It only lasts a moment. Other times…" Freddy paused to collect his thoughts. Chester could hear a small whirring fan kick on in Freddy's head. "Other times there is nothing to be done, the discomfort does not pass easily, and it can be very overwhelming. This usually only occurs when I disagree with a line of code and try to keep it from running, or when I encounter system errors. I have never experienced a headache before, but I imagine the sensation closely resembles a very bad migraine."
     "I see." Chester nodded slowly, mulling over this information carefully in their brain. "If I ever cause you pain or discomfort, please let me know and I'll try to fix it."
     Freddy smiled. "Thank you, that is very kind of you. I will let you know."
     Chester finished connecting the new joint in no time. They had Freddy try it out before screwing the panel back in place.
     "You've done a fantastic job, superstar! Thank you." Freddy pat Chester's shoulder, beaming down at them happily.
     "No problem, just… doing my job." Chester forced a small smile.
     Freddy had a birthday party to get to, and so he waved goodbye before making his way out of parts and service. Chester disposed of the damaged parts and breathed a heavy sigh of relief. They'd actually done it. It hadn't even been difficult. Still, with any luck, they wouldn't have to do another animatronic repair task for a good long while.
~~~
     "Hey Sun!" Chester called out verbally, since their hands were full. They heaved the bulky metal monstrosity in past the daycare doors. They kicked their shoes off as they made it inside. "I finally found a generator!! And I think it shouldn't be too hard to hook it up to the lights!"
     "OH?!" Sun came bounding up. "Oh, oh dear. Oh. Please don't… ah. Can I carry this for you??" Sun's hands were fluttering around the generator's frame. His gaze was fixed on the wheels, where they were catching and pulling at the padded floor and starting to leave marks.
     "If you don't mind," Chester signed, stepping back. Not only was it extremely heavy, but the generator's shitty little wheels were proving to be a huge pain to maneuver over the cushioned floor anyways.
     Sun eagerly grabbed the generator by the bottom edges. He straightened without so much as a fraction of hesitance, like he was lifting a box of feathers. He turned and walked off at normal pace with it, leaving a stunned Chester rooted to the spot.
     "Are you coming? I don't think I can hook this up by myself," Sun called, realizing Chester wasn't behind him.
     "Right!" Chester shook it off and hurried after Sun. "You're really cool, you know that?"
     Sun's faceplate spun happily. "Why thank you, friend! What brought this on?" Sun maneuvered the generator, balancing it against his hip and holding it one handed as he tapped the code into the panel and opened the door to the spiral staircase.
     "Jeez," Chester breathed. They followed Sun through the door, closing it behind them. "You're carrying that generator like its nothing. The thing weighs twice as much as I do."
     Sun looked down at the generator, pausing halfway up the stairs. He suddenly feigned straining with it, lowering it and hunkering over it, arms rattling. He took a massive exaggerated step. "ARGHHH! HRGHHHH! GRAHHHHH!" He continued like this the rest of the way up the steps. When he got to the top, he set the generator down and threw himself over it dramatically. "PHEW!!!" He wiped imaginary sweat from his brow, then looked at Chester. "How was that?"
     Chester was too busy laughing to reply. They gripped the railing on the stairs tightly, feeling a little light headed. They got their giggling under control. "That was much better, thank you."
     Sun pushed the generator into the room, parking it by the wall with the electrical box. Chester got out a screwdriver and began removing the back panel of the electrical box.
     "How long do you think it'll take?" Sun asked, peering over Chester's shoulder as they set the panel aside and got to work.
     "No more than a few minutes, I think. I did some reading, it shouldn't be too much trouble. Right now I'm installing the interlock kit to the panel. Then I need to install the power inlet box, then start wiring the connections. Then I just install the circuit breaker and put the panel back on," Chester recited the steps they'd learned.
     "Mmhmm. Yes, yes." Sun nodded along. "Very good. Yes."
     Chester smiled. "Do you want to help?"
     "Sure!!" Sun bounced up and down.
     "You can hold these little panel screws for me, if you like," Chester offered, sweeping the little collection of screws off the rim of the electrical box, where they'd been perched precariously. They held the handful out to Sun.
     "On it, boss!" Sun very carefully cupped the screws in his hands. He stared at them dutifully, making sure they didn't run off anywhere.
     Chester was making good progress. They glanced back at Sun, who was still staring down at the screws. Chester smiled at him. Sun noticed the attention and tilted his faceplate up to Chester.
     "What's that smile for?" Sun's faceplate tilted a few degrees in curiosity.
     "Oh, nothing. You're just cute is all," Chester said.
     "Cute??" Sun jolted.
     Chester froze, embarrassment shooting through them. Did I seriously just said that-?! "I mean-!" Chester jerked their hands away to sign. They weren't looking, their hand pulling or hitting something, they couldn't tell. The electrical shock was more than a little distracting.
     Chester yelped and fell back on their ass. All at once they could see trees, rain, the shape of the plex from the top of the hill, its neon sign glowing through the haze. Chester blinked, shaking off the images and the shock. Their heart was pounding uncomfortably.
     For a moment, Chester panicked as their vision didn't seem to want to come back to them. They blinked rapidly, the dread setting in for only a moment before realization calmed them- the lights had just gone out. Chester's eyes were adjusting, they could see the electrical box in front of them and the shape of the generator next to them.
     "Sun?" Chester called out. They felt along the ground behind them, where Sun had been. Their hand met a collection of tiny screws scattered on the ground. The dread came back.
     Was Sun freaking out about the lights? Where was he?? Chester fumbled along their belt until they found the flashlight they were now glad they'd taken from the employee stock room. They clicked it on, wincing at the sudden sharp white light. They swept the beam across the room. The room was empty, though Chester noted the curtain had been thrown open. They hurried out onto the balcony and peered down at the daycare below. They swept the beam over the ball pit, but everything was still.
     "Sun?! Where are you??" Chester took the stairs down, planning to scour the daycare and make sure Sun was alright. They took two steps beyond the door before freezing to the spot.
     Red eyes were fixed on them from the other end of the daycare.
     "You." Chester stared wide eyed at the animatronic, cast in shadows beyond the reach of their flashlight. This was the same animatronic they'd met on their first night shift, the one who'd given them a concussion before promptly and totally vanishing. Chester stood stock still, waiting for the animatronic to move.
     The animatronic did move, but they turned away from Chester. They turned back to the wall they were standing next to, frantically tapping away at something there. Chester risked a few steps closer, holding their beam higher. The animatronic seemed to be tapping at a light switch. Chester panicked for a moment as a thought occurred to them- what if they'd just short circuited the whole building??
     Chester went to the nearest window, then breathed a sigh of relief. They could see low neon lighting in the waiting area outside from a sign on a wall, and from an ATM machine by the check in desk. So they'd just knocked out the daycare's lights, then. Chester turned from the window, focusing on the task at hand. The animatronic hadn't attacked them or threatened to detain them, so he still remembered Chester's employee profile. Either that or he wasn't currently in security mode. Whatever the case, Chester still needed to find Sun.
     "Sun! Where'd you go?" Chester called out, struggling to project. They swept their light back and forth over play structures and stacks of toys. They paused, noticing the red eyed animatronic watching them. They breathed, trying to reign in their apprehension. They signed with one hand, flashlight in the other. "Did you see where Sun went?"
     The animatronics' eyes shifted in the dark. It took a second for Chester to realize, but the bot had tilted his head, much like how Sun tilted his faceplate when he was confused or curious.
     Chester was having a hard time not feeling unnerved with the way the bot was just staring at them. "…You're not gonna bash my skull in again, are you?" They tried a light laugh.
     The red eyes lowered. Chester squinted through the darkness, not willing to get too much closer, even to put the bot in the light. It looked like he'd crouched down to the ground.
     "…Sorry."
     Chester paused. They hadn't been expecting the bot to apologize. "Oh. That's alright. All is forgiven. Just uh, don't do it again. Okay?"
     The bot didn't reply, and Chester was too far to make out any sort of expression. They pushed their fear aside to take a few steps closer, still watching the bot carefully.
     "How come you aren't around often?" Chester asked.
     The bot watched Chester just as carefully as they watched him. "…I'm only here when the lights are out." He spoke in quiet, gentle tones.
     Chester took another step, slowly but surely closing the distance. "What, like a vampire?"
     The bot mimicked the sign, tapping two fingers in a 'V' shape to his neck. "Sort of." He sounded amused by this.
     Another step closer, and he was almost in the light. This time, he moved back away from the light. "…You don't like the light," Chester realized. They glanced down at their flashlight, then back up at the animatronic, who's gaze never wavered from them for a moment. Chester took in a breath and held it. They clicked the light off.
     For a moment, all Chester could see in the sudden darkness was two red pinprick lights a ways ahead of them. They stood stock still, waiting. Waiting for their eyes to adjust, waiting to see if the bot moved. The bot was just as still as they were.
     Once Chester's eyes adjusted enough to make out shapes around them, they started to relax. They slipped the flashlight back into their toolbelt.
     "You can see in the dark, right?" Chester signed.
     "Yes," came the bot's hushed voice. "You cannot."
     "That's correct."
     "…Why did you turn your light off?" the bot asked.
     "It bothered you. Just trying to keep on your good side." Chester smiled, hoping to convey they weren't being too serious. "Listen… I'm looking for my friend Sun. I'm not sure where he's gone, but he can't be far. He can't really leave the daycare. Since you can see in the dark… would you mind helping me look for him?"
     The bot tilted his head again. After a long moment of consideration, he said, "…Sure."
     Chester watched the bot stand slowly and turn to study a nearby crawly tube. Chester turned their gaze to the play structure they were standing beside. They tried to think about where Sun could be. If he'd jumped off the balcony in a panic, maybe he'd hurt himself on the landing?? Maybe he was laying broken and unresponsive at the bottom of the ball pit. The thought caused Chester no small amount of distress. They turned their back to the red eyed animatronic and headed for the ball pit.
     Chester started wading through plastic balls, trying to feel along and not loose their footing at the same time. They noted the red eyed animatronic watching them from the corner of their eye.
     "What's your name?" Chester asked. "I'm… I'm Chester." The name didn't sit quite right with them, but it wasn't like they could go around giving out their real name at this point.
     "Moon." The animatronic, Moon, watched Chester carefully.
     "Huh. Have you ever met Sun?" Chester asked.
     Moon took a moment before responding. He was still watching Chester intently. "…Not in person."
     "Oh. Well, he's pretty cool. If we can find him, you could meet him…" Chester rounded back to give the ball pit another pass. No sign of Sun yet.
     Moon approached, footsteps cautious, only audible by the jingling bells on his shoes. He stopped by the edge of the ball pit, crouching down to grip the rim of the pit with his hands. Chester took a moment to look him over, realizing he was finally close enough to see.
     Moon wore similar pants to Sun's, though his were patterned differently, with star shapes instead of long stripes. He had a lot of ruffles and ribbons like Sun too, though his whole color scheme was much darker. He wore a long nightcap on his head, a little gold bell at the end catching the low light from out in the hall. His circular face was half shadowed, leaving only a crescent shape visible in the dark. He had a stagnant grin like Sun's. 'Moon' seemed to be just as fitting to him as Sun's name was to him.
     "Huh. Another clown animatronic," Chester said. They had to wonder what role Moon could possibly play here at the plex. Had he been some sort of prototype for Sun?? Was that why he wasn't usually out touring the plex? Maybe he was meant to be decommissioned or something?
     "Jester," Moon corrected.
     Chester tilted their head in curiosity.
     "Lots of people don't like clowns… think they're scary. Jesters are friendlier," Moon said.
     "Oh. I understand." Chester gave up on the ball pit. They huffed and made their way to the edge of the pit, climbing out. Moon took several steps back, keeping his distance. Chester stood a little too quickly and wavered, a bout of dizziness quickly hitting them. They felt their weight shift back a little too far, and took in a sharp hiss of air as their stomach dropped-
     There was a small jerk, and suddenly Chester was pulled forwards. They could see Moon standing right next to them, his hand on their tool belt. Chester flinched before they could realize what had happened; Moon had just pulled them forwards by the belt, saving them from crashing back into the ball pit.
     Moon leapt back with startling speed, crouching back down to the ground. "Sorry, sorry, I'm sorry."
     Chester held up their hands, straightening up and taking a steadying breath. Their heart was pounding. They willed it to settle. "It's okay, thank you for catching me." They took a step away from the pit and cast another look around the daycare. "I really don't know where Sun went… I'm starting to get worried. Listen, I'm gonna try and get the lights working again so I can have an easier time looking for him. Since you don't like the lights, I'm letting you know in advance so you can head out, alright?"
     Moon just stared at Chester. He was very still, no chance of gleaning his reaction through body language like Chester had learned to do with Sun.
     "I'll see you around?" Chester offered, heading back towards the door to the spiral staircase.
     "I'm not sure," Moon said quietly.
     "Well, I hope so. I've got some questions for you, next time I see you." Chester reached the door and gave Moon a little wave. "Bye for now."
     "Goodnight," Moon replied.
     Back in the tower room, Chester made quick work of finishing connecting the generator to the electrical box. They crossed their fingers and activated the generator, flipping the lights back on.
     There was a sudden hum that Chester realized just then had been missing. They blinked, suddenly blind in the flood of light around them. It had worked- the lights were on. Chester double checked everything, making sure it was all installed correctly and connected properly. They breathed a sigh of relief and went back out on the balcony.
     To their surprise, they spotted Sun standing not far from the ball pit. Had he really fallen in after all and Chester had just missed him??
     "Sun!!" Chester called, relieved to see their friend. Sun's gaze snapped up to them, and he waved enthusiastically.
     Chester hurried through the door and down the steps. In their rush they tripped down the last few stairs like a dunce, flying forwards with a yelp. They landed very suddenly, but not uncomfortably, against plastic casing and soft fabric ruffles. Sun had caught them, having come through the door to meet them.
     "Careful!!" Sun chided. He gently released Chester, keeping a hand on their shoulder to be sure they wouldn't fall right over again.
     "I was worried about you!!" Chester lightly swatted Sun's arm. "You really don't like the lights being out, huh?"
     "I didn't mean to worry you." Sun's eyes flashed with blue light. "Are you alright?? Are you- did you- did…" Sun relaxed, posture slouching slightly as the blue light clicked off. "You're unharmed."
     "I'm alright. I actually sort of made a new friend." Chester recounted their meeting with Moon, and how Moon had helped them search for Sun before Chester had decided to fix the lights. "I guess he's gone now. He doesn't like the lights, apparently."
     Sun laughed his uncomfortable strained sort of laugh, like the sound was being dragged out of his voice box. "You met Moon. And you're okay?" That blue light came on again.
     "I told you, I'm fine. I think I've got the issue figured out, with you guys getting confused in security mode. Remember when we talked about that?" Chester asked, their hands moving through the signs quickly.
     "I remember," Sun said.
     "Moon wasn't confused this time. He remembered that I'd showed him a paper copy of my employee form. So there's no issue anymore! I still haven't figured out why the employee files get corrupted every now and then or how to fix it, but now I'm at least confidant in this solution. And I think you were right about the others getting confused because of conflicting messages, missing employee forms and valid nametags. I've been thinking about something Freddy told me recently, about how he sometimes disagrees with how his programming runs, and how it makes him feel uncomfortable, like he's in pain. This is just a hunch, but I think maybe its hard for you guys to cope with how certain programs or errors make you feel. So maybe that’s why…" Chester trailed off. That's why Moon lashed out that night.
     "That's why the others get… confused," Sun finished slowly. He wrung his hands together, metal shifting quietly against metal. "Chester… when we say 'confused'…"
     Chester willed Sun not to finish his question. He did anyways.
     "Moon hurt you, didn't he?" Sun asked quietly.
     Chester looked away. They sat down on the stairs, hands folded in their lap while they considered how to reply. They went back and forth in their head- they wanted to tell Sun. They despised lying to him, keeping things from him. At the same time, if word got out and the company filed an incident report with the police, Chester was done for. They looked up at Sun. He was clearly worried, his grin entirely foreign amidst his tensed body language. He was so worried for them. Chester sighed, hoping they wouldn't regret this. "It's extremely important that you don't tell anyone. Okay?"
     Sun nodded solemnly.
     "Okay. That night, when I made that deal with you so I could stay in your room… Earlier that night, I met Moon for the first time. It… didn't go super great." Chester explained in minor detail how Moon had stuttered through voice lines and chased them down. They told Sun that Moon had been the cause of their head injury, leaving it at that. They explained how they'd finally shown Moon their employee form, and how Moon had seemed to snap out of it before retreating.
     Sun's hands were shaking as Chester spoke. He was silent until they were done.
     "Chester… I… I'm so sorry," Sun whispered, uncharacteristically quiet. "I'm so, so sorry."
     "It wasn't your fault," Chester said.
     "I'm sorry," Sun said again, his voice wavering and edged with static.
     "Easy Sun, it's alright," Chester tried to assure. "It wasn't anyone's fault! I don't even hold it against Moon. I'm still sort of scared of him, honestly, but… I don't think he meant to hurt me. It didn't seem like he was fully aware of what was going on through… whatever it was he was going through."
     Sun made a soul wrenching whining noise, the sound of it now drenched in static. He folded his arms tightly, trying to stop their shaking.
     Chester realized then that he was crying, as much as he could cry without any tears.
     "I don't like this," Sun whined. "I don't like it, it hurts, it hurts, I want this to stop."
     Chester shot to their feet, stumbling slightly but quickly regaining their footing. They closed the distance between them and Sun and wrapped their arms around him.
     "It's okay," Chester whispered, pressing the signs into Sun's back. "It's okay."
     Sun's arms hovered over Chester, shaking hard enough to be audible. Then he finally settled his arms around Chester. A shiver rattled its way down his whole frame. He squeezed them tightly, holding onto them like a lifeline.
     Chester held Sun until he stopped shaking. When they pulled away, Sun was reluctant to release them, but loosened his arms just enough for Chester to slip away.
     "Thank you. That was…" Sun put a hand over his chest, trying to feel for something that wasn't there. "I don't know."
     "Sadness. You were sad," Chester offered. "Or at least, whatever the robot equivalent to it is."
     Sun considered this. His fingers scraped slowly over plastic plating. "I don't think I like that at all."
     Chester nodded. "Yeah, that's a tough one."
     Sun focused back in on Chester. "Why didn’t you tell anyone you'd been hurt? Why… Why stay here? After Moon had hurt you?"
     "…I can't answer that. I'm sorry." Chester couldn't look at Sun.
     "…Okay." Sun reached out and gently took one of Chester's hands. "Chester, I don't want you to be scared of me. The thought of that makes me… feel…" Sun trailed off, his faceplate lowering.
     "I'm not scared of you, Sun," Chester assured. They squeezed Sun's hand. They were a little confused as to why Sun would be worried about that. Maybe because he and Moon looked alike?
     Sun didn't look up, didn't move for a long moment. He stared at Chester's hand in his. Chester got the feeling he wanted to say something. They waited patiently for him to find the words, understanding full well how difficult it could be at times to find the words.
     Finally, Sun settled on a simple, "I'm sorry."
     "What are you sorry for?? I'm not upset with you."
     Sun didn't reply. He released Chester's hand and turned away. "I think I want to stop feeling sad. It's too much, I don't like it."
     Chester thought maybe Sun had been trying to apologize for his emotions. "It's alright to feel things, Sun. I know it can be miserable sometimes, but it'll make the things that make you feel good that much more wonderful by comparison." Chester straightened up. "If you want, we can play a game? Put all this behind us?"
     Sun nodded eagerly. "Yes, I would like that."
     Chester lead the way out of the stairwell and back into the daycare. They chose a game at random from the game shelf and helped Sun set things up.
     As the game progressed, Sun started to relax. Chester relaxed by extension, glad to see that Sun was starting to feel better. By the end of the game, Sun was even back to his happier movements, swaying and tapping. Even so, there was a slight hesitance once it was time for them to part ways. Sun had a daycare to prepare, and Chester had a long day to sleep off.
~~~
     The next night, Sun seemed to be feeling much better. Sun insisted Chester pick the game once more, again assuring them that he didn't mind any game, he just had fun playing and spending time with Chester. Chester felt much the same way, and so they chose a game at random, though they tried to pick a new game for variety.
     Tonight's game was 'Connect Four'. Sun set up the slot tower and divvied out the chips. Chester took the red chips, figuring the yellow chips were more fitting to Sun.
     "You really like board games, huh?" Chester asked, starting off the round by dropping a chip into one of the center rows.
     "I do!" Sun nodded enthusiastically. "I like all games. So long as everyone is having fun! That's what's most important." Sun dropped his chip one slot to the right of Chester's.
     Chester dropped their next chip in the slot to the left of their first. "I would have loved to have a place like this growing up. Seeing these jungle gyms and listening to you play with the kids all day, it just makes me happy knowing the kids have a place like this. You run a really nice little daycare here, Sun."
     Sun started bouncing in his seat with enough fervor to bump the table. "Oh gosh!! Thank you so much, that's so kind of you!" Sun laughed. He seemed to realize suddenly that it was his turn, and quickly dropped his next chip, to the left of Chester's last chip. "I try really, really hard to make sure everyone is taken care of and having fun. It's what I was built for! Sometimes it's hard, kids don't get along or they have bad days or get upset or sometimes the parents are mean, but even so, I can't imagine ever wanting to do anything else! When the kids are kind to each other, or when they give me a hug goodbye, or draw something for me, there's this feeling… sometimes feeling things is so hard and overwhelming, but this feeling is so, so nice, it's one of my favorite things! And it's almost never overwhelming, definitely one of the kinder things to my processors. It's like… its like right after a software update that patches up a bug, or right after I finish recharging. Like everything is not only as it should be, but the best it can be!"
     "That's really nice." Chester smiled. They turned their chip over a few times in their hands before dropping it on top of Sun's last chip. "I think the kids are all the better for it, too."
     "I sure hope so!" Sun continued to bounce and sway, barely managing not to bump the table again. He dropped his next piece, beside the first chip he'd dropped.
     Chester could hear bells jingling merrily along Sun's costume as he bounced. It almost sounded like there were bells jingling inside him too, like there were spare bells stowed away somewhere in his casing. Every part of him really was crafted for his position. Chester wondered what that was like, that feeling of fulfillment Sun must have from carrying out the role he was entirely and intentionally made for. They imagined as well what it might be like for him to fear loosing it. Chester felt they understood a bit better why Sun seemed so anxious about the lights- being told the daycare was at risk of being closed down… What was anyone supposed to do if they'd lost their entire life's purpose? What they were literally built for?
     "You've been thinking for a while! It's so early in the game to be strategizing that hard. I worry I'm in for a rough time!" Sun laughed lightly.
     Chester brought themself out of their thoughts, focusing back on the game. "Sorry, I got distracted." They made their next move, dropping their chip to the right of Sun's last chip.
     "Do you like being a technician? Does it feel… what's the human equivalent? Like a full night's rest??" Sun wondered. He made his next move while Chester replied.
     "I do, actually. I didn't think I would, when I… started this job. But, as it turns out, I like working with my hands, and seeing something that was broken run again because I fixed it is very rewarding. And there's a satisfaction to marking tasks complete in my little list. It feels… fulfilling. Maybe not to quite the degree that you experience, and maybe not in the same way that you experience it, but there is that sense of fulfillment for me from doing a good job. Or at least, doing my best and having it be enough."
     "That's good! So you think you'll stick around then? You like working here, right?" Sun asked.
     Chester stared down at their chip, flipping it over and over in their hand while they thought. "I… yeah. I would like to stick around," they admitted. They dropped their chip. They knew they couldn't stick around here, they were only here because they needed a place to lay low for a while. But… there wasn't any harm in not being miserable while they were stuck hiding out here, was there? They hadn't lied to Sun after all, they did want to stick around. Even if they couldn't.
     "Good! We can play so many games!!" Sun's rays all popped in and out. His stagnant grin seemed much more genuine. "I really like playing games with you. It's much different than playing with the kids! I love playing games with them too, but you don't seem to mind at all who wins or looses. You just like to play, like I do!"
     "Yeah." Chester smiled. "It's just nice to hang out with you, honestly. You're very easy to talk to. And that's coming from someone who doesn't like talking to the point of being selectively mute." Chester laughed.
     "Aww, thank you friend! You're very kind." Sun put a hand to his cheek and waved at Chester with the other in a very 'oh, stop it you' sort of way. He dropped his next chip. "How come you don't like talking??"
     Chester explained while they thought about their next move. "Well, for me it's really difficult to translate what's going on in my head into spoken word. And there's a lot to consider with tone and implication, I could accidentally say something I don't mean to say by using the wrong tone or messing up what I'm trying to get across badly enough. It's just easier for me with sign. And sometimes I just… I don't know, I just don't feel like speaking, it feels… difficult. It's tough to explain." They played their next move, managing to line up three chips in a row.
     Sun quickly blocked the space Chester needed for their fourth with his next move. "I see. Speaking can be hard for me too, sometimes! My coding doesn't like it when I try to use certain tones. I'm supposed to be happy and friendly and upbeat all the time! And I don't mind that, really, I like being friendly, and when I'm happy and silly it makes other people around me happy too! But sometimes I don't feel happy. And when I speak it comes out sort of funny," Sun explained.
     Chester could remember hearing static coming through with Sun's voice from time to time. They nodded in understanding. "I see." They dropped another chip.
     They played a few more turns in silence. Sun nearly got four in a row, but Chester managed to block him before he could win the game. The board quickly filled with red and yellow tiles. They would both get close to winning without managing to actually seal the deal.
     Sun broke the silence first. "What's your favorite thing to do when you're not working?"
     Chester thought back, to a time before their life had gotten so complicated. "I really like to take little walks and just… look."
     "Look?" Sun tilted his head, faceplate rotating a few degrees.
     Chester nodded. "Yeah, I like to look at the world in general. Sometimes I'd take a walk in the woods and find a nice place to sit and just… look at the trees and plants moving in the breeze and watch birds and squirrels. I love looking at the stars, too. I don't know, there's just something nice about just. Existing in the world. Watching it quietly and appreciating it."
     "Hmm." Sun hummed thoughtfully. "That sounds very nice."
     They played until there were no moves left to make, the game ending in a draw. They tipped the slot tower and played another round. This time Chester won, though they got the sneaking suspicion that Sun had let them win. They played and talked and laughed together until it was time to wrap things up and prepare for the day.
     This time, when Chester left to sleep up in Sun's room and wished him good luck for the day, they felt a little sad to say goodbye. They felt silly for the thought, but they couldn't help it. They genuinely enjoyed Sun's company, and despite everything, it seemed the feeling was mutual.
     Chester curled up in their makeshift bed, drifting off with ease and sleeping just as easily.
~~~
     Chester's dizziness was slowly improving. The headaches they did get were manageable, and the haze clouding their brain was all but gone. Despite their improvements however, they still found themself spacing on certain things.
     I'm totally allowed to blame this on the concussion, Chester thought as they fled for their life down the halls of the plex. They'd spaced and forgotten to return their faz-phone to its charger after their shift. They'd been about to settle down for bed when they'd realized, and not wanting to sleep with the employee form in their pocket, had removed it before bed. Naturally, they'd forgotten to put it back in their pocket when they'd left to return the faz-phone. Which was why they were now being chased down dim neon drenched halls by a violent chicken robot.
     There was a way out of this, if Chester could just think. They were outpacing Chica by a small margin. She was lighter than most of the other animatronics, but she still had trouble turning corners at top speed. Chester couldn't keep running circles all night, though. They'd get tired. Chica would not.
     Chester thought back to a few nights ago, when they and Chica had caught each other both eating things they shouldn't be eating. Chica hadn't said a thing about their missing employee profile then. Of course, Chester's employee form had been on them, then.
     Chester found themself back in the food court. They dashed along the outer line of little restaurants, then made a sharp turn down the short staircase and into the main seating area, taking all five steps at once. They fumbled the landing, careening sideways and forwards. Their hands found a trashcan by the side of the stairs, toppling it in an attempt to regain their balance. This didn't work quite as well as they'd hoped, and they ended up sprawled across the tile, their side hitting the leg of a table.
     In a panic, they tried to quickly scramble back to their feet. They whacked the top of their head on the underside of the table, falling back on their ass with a cry. The pain was quickly overshadowed by fear, but…
     Chester looked up, eyes landing on Chica, who was not currently attempting to murder them. She seemed to have forgotten about Chester entirely, instead focusing on the toppled trashcan. She dropped to her knees and grabbed up in her fist a discarded, mostly eaten slice of pizza from the ground. She eagerly stuffed it in her beak, then feverishly dug through the trash, finding another slice.
     Apparently, the urge to eat garbage pizza was even stronger than Chica's urge to put an end to Chester's error causing existence. Chester only sat around contemplating this for a moment before booking it out of there. They passed a staff bot already rolling over to clean up the mess Chica was making- the familiar custodian bot with the blue cap- who stared intently at Chester as they hurried past.
     Chester made for the daycare, checking over their shoulder to be sure Chica hadn't lost interest in her garbage. They rounded the corner, putting Chica out of sight. They turned around just in time to catch a flash of green before they walked right into another animatronic.
     Monty stood before Chester, perhaps having come to investigate all the ruckus. Chester nearly swore aloud in frustration- they just couldn't catch a break.
     "Hey, little guy! Little- are you lost, lost? Runt, hey-" Monty started to stutter through voice lines. He took a heavy step forwards. "You… don't have… valid employee profile." Monty groaned. Several fans had kicked on and were whirring away, desperately trying to cool down something overheating in his head. "Runt… make this stop."
     Chester was exhausted. With Chica behind them and Monty in front of them, they tried to think. If certain things could snap them out of their error feedback induced rage, then perhaps there was another way out of this. Chester recalled everything they knew about the gator, which admittedly wasn't much. He was prideful, said 'rock-n-roll' a lot, and loved playing minigolf. That would have to be enough.
     "Montgomery, I challenge you to a game of minigolf!" Chester said quickly, speaking as well as signing to be sure Monty understood.
     Monty froze. Chester eyed his clawed hands, hovering uncomfortably close to them.
     "You're on, runt. No way you can beat me!" Monty said. His voice was edged with static. Rigidly, he turned and started to walk away.
     Chester stood still, hoping Monty would just walk off to gator golf and leave them be. No such luck.
     When they didn't follow, Monty turned back around. With a static-drenched growl, he snatched the back of their shirt and pulled them along with him. Chester struggled to keep on their feet as Monty practically carried them with him down the hall, past pirate's cove, and through the double doors to gator golf, whacking his tail on the doorframe as he passed.
     After stomping past bushy plastic foliage and past a swamp themed shack where people could make their minigolf experience purchases, Monty dropped Chester by one of the golf club dispensers. Chester recalled fixing this particular dispenser not too long ago. They winced when Monty ripped the top off the machine, easily tearing it off like the lid of a pringles can. He grabbed two clubs from inside. He held out the one with the blue handle to Chester, keeping the red handled club for himself.
     Chester took it. Monty grabbed some golf balls from inside the machine, then stalked down the faux dirt path to the first hole. He stared at Chester intently.
     It seemed their choices were to either play mini golf with Monty, or perish. Given the options at hand, Chester opted to play. They joined Monty and set their ball on the grass carpet. They squinted at the hole, laying in wait in the shadows between two hills. They tried not to think too hard about the absurdity of the situation, and hit the ball with their club. They actually managed to get it close to the hole. Chester realized that, actually, they shouldn't be trying to win. They needed to prolong this game for as long as possible, because as soon as it was over, Monty would be back in security mode.
     Monty made his move next. He hit the ball surprisingly lightly. It barely made it halfway down the little field.
     As the game went on, Monty would occasionally run a clearly pre-programmed line. These lines were all steeped in static, drawn out and slow as if Monty were struggling to get them out. Or perhaps, trying and failing to keep them in.
     Chester noticed that Monty was playing a lot differently than he had the first time they'd played, when the situation hadn't been quite as tense. There was no boasting or bravado, no light jabs at their skills. He was playing with extreme caution, taking his time to get his ball across little wooden bridges, through hollow logs topped with plastic frogs, around clusters of fake reeds.
     With a start, Chester realized Monty was doing the same thing they were doing- trying to prolong the game. They remembered how he'd sounded before they'd challenged him to the game, how he'd less stated that they didn't have an employee profile, and more warned them about it. He'd asked Chester to make it stop.
     Chester stared at Monty as he barely tapped his golf ball towards the hole, not a foot away. The ball rolled two inches closer at most.
     "Beat that, runt!" Monty hissed through the static. "You having fun yet?"
     Chester hoped that Monty wasn't still in any pain. They made their shot, purposefully overshooting.
     They were only a course away from the final hole when the lights turned on all at once. Monty dropped his club, shoulders sagging in relief. Six in the morning had come at last.
     "MAAAN. What a pain!" Monty groaned loudly. "You alright there, runt?"
     Chester nodded. They leaned against their golf club and returned the question. "Are you alright?"
     Monty waved a clawed hand in the air. "I'm fine. You need to figure out what to do about your employee file if you wanna keep working the night shift. I don't know if you realized but I was pretty close there to doing whatever it took to make the errors stop."
     Chester nodded. "I know. I have a paper copy of my profile form, I just didn't have it on me tonight."
     "Let me take a look at it soon as you get the chance. And show it to the others too," Monty said.
     "I will." Chester held a hand out to Monty. "Good game."
     Monty barked a laugh. "Are you kidding? That was the worst game I've ever played!"
     "Thanks for not killing me," Chester corrected.
     "Sure, kid." Monty shook Chester's hand. "Now get outa here before I change my mind."
     Chester smiled and nodded. They made their way out of gator golf, frowning as they passed the golf club dispenser and realizing they might have to be the one to fix it. They heaved a sigh as they left gator golf, trudging at last towards the daycare.
     Chester considered telling Lance and Rosa about the error feedback loop the bots would get stuck in. If they were careful about it, they might be able to explain the situation, and also warn them against assigning anyone else to the night shift without first having said employee show the bots a copy of their employee form, all without explaining how exactly Chester knew about the issue, and how they'd originally found out. If the bots could be distracted from this hellish overwhelming error loop by engaging certain other programs, that might be valuable information as well.
     They decided to come forward with the information. There wasn't anyone else working the night shift currently, but it likely wouldn't always be that way. Chester didn't want anyone to get hurt, and so they'd have to risk it.
     For now though, they desperately wanted to get to sleep. Once they'd taken Monty's advice and shown all the bots their employee profile form, they hoped they'd be sleeping a little easier. With murderous animatronics scratched off their list of things to worry about, Chester dared to hope that things would even start looking up for them.
Once in the Shower (M)
Tumblr media
Pairing : Park Jinyoung x Fem!Reader  Genre : SMUT (oral, slight dirty talk, explicit) Words : 5259
Summary : You’re going to be late for work but your roommate won’t get out of the shower so you decide to take drastic measures.
AN : Special thanks to @dearbeommie for helping me pick a title and edit that picture because I am emotionally and physically exhausted now haha
Once in the Shower
You like your personal space. Among the things you want to preserve, being able to have your own private environment is what you cherish the most.
Living with your roommate is something you thought would make you forget about your precious space, but with time you are now able to cherish it differently.
For example, you like the fact that he lets you read in peace and doesn’t stick to you every minute. You enjoy each other’s presence no matter the situation and without having to talk to each other all day.
He understands your way of functioning and agrees with the concept so naturally, you both have no issues with living together and having moments by yourself.
It’s all good and fun until you are going to be late for work and Jinyoung won’t get out of the bathroom.
“I’m in a hurry, are you done?” You yell from behind the door, the soft music inside and sound of the water too loud for him to hear. “Jinyoung? I’m really going to be late!”
Jinyoung can’t hear, but he also hates it when you barge in without further notice. It’s his precious time, every morning. He usually goes to work earlier than that but somehow he ended up using the bathroom right on the day you needed it the most.
Keep reading
